A little quickie I did this morning, A throwback to my sisters of battle series :)

On the scorched battlefield, Sister Verity, clad in her indomitable armor, and her beloved Steven, the Ultramarine, stumbled upon a lost squig. Verity’s heart softened at the sight of the adorable creature. „Can we keep it?” she pleaded. Steven chuckled beneath his helmet. „Aye, my love. But let’s ensure it doesn’t bite off more than it can chew.” Together, they welcomed their new, unlikely companion into their crusade.

WIP update on the mediaeval pauldron: First half is pretty close to being done and I already started sketching the second half!

The first half feels a bit empty as it is now, so I'll maybe come back and add something more to it later. At least I was planning on some sort of sun-like thingy to the up-most part of the pauldron, so maybe that'll be enough. We'll see. Also the background needs to get lighter, but I'll deal with that later. 😅

Finally finished this epic piece for my homebrewed space marine chapter of warrior-women, the Sin Eaters! I was shooting for that classic Codex vibe, while sticking in a few of those old Rogue Trader-esque elements that I always love. Maybe I'll mock up some kind of faux-codex cover with some graphics later down the road.

Ok so here’s a little experiment: all my most liked posts include cute girls. Let’s see if Steven the Ultramarine can get as many likes:)

It’s a little quick render as I’m pretty busy but hope you like it. I feel like our ultramarine boys in blue would definitely drink some nice plain mineral water that’s refreshing and full of good ions that keep you hydrated on your crusade for the Emperor.

They chose Steven for the commercial as he embodies the spirit of the brand.

Tyrant Neuroguard (2023) -

A few years ago I worked on a premise sparked by old Tyranid lore, wherein Space Marine DNA was rumoured to have contributed to the development of Tyrant Guard. Namely, what if the Hive Mind acquired something even more dangerous, like Primaris or even Grey Knight DNA? The idea from there was to design a larger, more advanced Tyrant Guard as a response, but I didn't finish the project as I felt it wasn't distinct enough from the current Tyrant Guard models, save for the reintroduction and modification of the 3rd edition shield.

More recently with the release of the various 'Neuro'- prefixed Tyranids, I was inspired to adapt the project to fit into this wave of really cool new bioforms. I see them as psychic batteries or capacitors, similar in role to a larger Neuroloid or Neurogaunt, and no smarter than base form Tyrant Guard, but able to passively receive and store psychic energy from Synapse creatures and instinctively discharge the energy via the spines on the front of its shield, or the ends of its Lashwhips, almost like an electric eel. The face design was inspired by historical helmets like the Barbute, utilising side mandibles that have thickened and morphed into defensive cheek plates.
