The Single Cask - (Balblair 10 Year Old)⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ Bottled at 57.1%⁣ Natural colour & Non-chill filtered⁣ Cask Type: Oloroso Hogshead.⁣ ⁣ My tasting notes 📝⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ Nose. Honey, Fruit, Straw, Chocolate and Oak.⁣ Palate. Pepper, Malt, Orange, Cream and Leather. ⁣ Finish. Waxy with Peach, Fudge and Dried Fruit.⁣ ⁣ An enticing and fragrant, honey draws you in. Plenty of fruit next; Imagine the aroma of a fruit bowl which includes bananas, apples, and pears. The whisky then had a straw-like smell that was dry and earthy. Now a dark chocolate treat, which emitted a multi-layered scent that was definitely evocative. Oak-like notes were also included.⁣ ⁣ The palate started with an intriguing pepper note, then a sweet and pleasant malt flavour was effectively incorporated. Next came an interesting, slightly citrussy, yet incredibly juicy, orange flavour. Now came a velvety cream, which brought the flavours together and calmed everything down. Additional bitter leather undertones emerged.⁣ ⁣ On the finish, there was a waxiness that mixed with flavours like a delicate and floral peach, a highly enticing fudge, and a lot of cask-influenced dried fruit. Delicious.⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ My opinion 🗣️⁣⁣ - If you enjoy a Highland whisky and have the chance, I suggest that you try this one. It has a tonne of flavour. #thesinglecask are definitely skilled at what they do! Don't let the £109 price deter you, despite the fact that it is only 10 years old. The Highland distilled whisky has a fantastic flavour profile, with the spirit emitting a round and distinct richness with considerable sweetness.⁣ ⁣ Thoughts on this? 😭😭Thank you for the beautiful review 💕 Repost from @jerseygirlsbookshelf • This is one of those books where you know you're gonna get your heart broken from the blurb alone. And then you get to the prologue. Damn. My heart belonged to Adam right then and there. As I kept reading, my heart belonged to them both, as @morelandmelanie again showed me her poetic writing and what true love is made of. Unconditional. Timeless. All-encompassing. Forever. The book starts in the present, with Adam chasing the love of his life, who doesn't seem to know him. What happened to them? How is this possible? We are then transported back into the past and into how their relationship started. The first part of the book is mostly told in Adam's POV, and he absolutely stole the show for me. They meet at the hospital where she's his nurse. From the start, there's something there. It's not really insta-love, but like this gravitational pull that's drawing them together somehow. It's fast, but it feels right. You get to really experience their love story. From Adam wanting to transform his loft into a place where she could be comfortable, to her not wanting to leave his side. To her embracing her feminine, sexy side because he brings it out of her, to him wanting things he's never wanted before. For her. When Adam leaves for a photo assignment, though, something happens—and that is the turning point. When we're pulled back into the present, we see how far he's willing to go for his Ally. For the love they once shared. And damn if it didn't warm my heart and made me all emotional.  It was heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. When they're reunited, every single thing about their relationship made me wish I were Ally. That's how beautiful and inspiring it was for me. We talk a lot about forever in romance, but very few times I find myself really buying into it. This was one of those times. ⭐️ NEWEST REVIEW ⭐️ . . . There is a lot to be said about this beautiful novel. First off, the character arcs. Our Main Character (MC) is Deka who lives in fear in her village will deem her “pure” or a “demon”. The journey and character development over the entirety of the book was astounding! The entire time I was screaming for Deka to be pure because in this world when someone is deemed a “demon” they’re killed. Then…during the ceremony….something happens to her that will throw her on a new course! I was screaming, “No!” Then, enters another character, and she gives Deka a choice. What kind of choice? Well, you’ll have to read the book to know, but she is given a great opportunity that allows her to stand up for what she believes in. The world Namina has created is beautiful and quite majestic. I was fully in the book the entire time. I loved the culture in these pages. The entire time was well spent reading this book. There are many twists and turns, building the suspense. This book had all the necessities: goal + conflict + stakes.
