Was Hamilton one of the students that help to create Hearts of Oak and maybe helped design the uniforms?
There's the high possibility, but no confirmation. The Hearts of Oak were initially called “The Corsicans”, and according to Newton's findings Hamilton, Fish, and Troup were some of the original members of the militia group before the name was changed;
John C. Hamilton, however, said that Alexander Hamilton, Robert Troup, and Nicholas Fish were in a militia company called the Hearts of Oak. But the Hearts of Oak do not appear on the catalog of New York militia companies from August 9, 1775. On August 28, 1775, Edward Fleming was appointed Deputy Adjutant General for the New York Department. With this promotion, Fleming was no longer able to command the Corsicans. On a list of militia companies dated September 14, 1775, the Corsicans no longer show up but there appears out of nowhere the “Hearts Oak,” or “Hearts of Oak” as it was called in a subsequent list. John Berrian, who had been a lieutenant in the Corsicans, was captain of the Hearts of Oak. Frederick Jay, John Jay's younger brother, who had been second lieutenant of the Corsicans, became first lieutenant of the Hearts of Oak. With two former Corsicans taking command of the Hearts of Oak and John C. Hamilton putting Hamilton, Fish, and Troup in the company, it is clear that the Corsicans sometime between August 9 and September 14 became the Hearts of Oak, either by changing its name or by the members of the old company forming a new one. Thus, Hamilton served first in the Corsicans and afterwards in the Hearts of Oak.
(source — Alexander Hamilton: The Formative Years, by Michael E. Newton)
With that being said, the iconic green uniforms, leather hats with “Freedom or Death” inscribed on them, weren't adopted until after the change of name; “They assumed the name “Hearts of Oak,” and wore a green uniform surmounted by a leathern hat on which was inscribed “Freedom or Death.”” [x] Additionally, these uniforms were designed by the members themselves. So, Hamilton would have been one of the students with the chance of helping with the design, but there is no concrete confirmation he did. Especially since no such mention is located in Troup's reminiscence, or JCH's biographies of his father.

I WANT A NEW BUG
Opening in theaters this weekend:
Tumblr media
Renfield--The wild-eyed, insect-gobbling toady to the Vampire Prince became a horror icon in his own right more than ninety years ago, when the great Dwight Frye unleashed his unforgettable giggle in Universal's original Dracula. It's a little surprising that he hasn't been given his own movie vehicle sooner.
But while Nicholas Hoult, who plays the title role in this horror spoof from Universal, briefly gets to do a respectable imitation of Frye's deranged laugh (hrrrr, hrrrr, hrrrrrrr....), he otherwise plays R. M. Renfield without mania, as a modest, mild-mannered, good-hearted fellow. He's also an action hero; munching bugs gives him superhuman strength and martial arts skills and recuperative powers.
His decades of servitude have made him reflective as well; he's come to entertain the possibility that he might just be in a toxic relationship with his boss. He's started attending a support group for people in a similar boat, both to explore his own emotional needs and to scout for victims--the abusers that people at the meetings describe--to serve as food to his convalescing sanguinary master.
The film is set in modern-day New Orleans, where Renfield has brought the charred remains of Dracula after the duo's last tangle with fearless vampire killers. The Count isn't looking well, but he's still able to bully and shame his poor lackey into submission, and he's a little more menacingly intact every time we see him. Then when Renfield comes to the attention of both a local crime family and of a New Orleans cop (Awkwafina) with an angry grudge against the gangsters, he must decide whose priorities he will focus on, Drac's or his own.
Directed by Chris McKay from a script by Ryan Ridley and a story by Robert Kirkman, Renfield is very silly and often heavy-handed. It's extremely gory, but like last month's Cocaine Bear, the gore is played strictly for laughs and lacks any true shock; it's too insubstantial to pack much punch even as a gross-out. The satirical points about modern self-help culture and pop psychology are trenchant enough, but they've pretty much exhausted themselves before the film is half over.
That said, Renfield is colorful, fast-moving and full of comedic invention, and Hoult is charming and easy to root for. Awkwafina pushes pretty hard, as she has in almost all her movies except The Farewell, but she also gets across an honest fury and grief, and when she lets herself connect with Hoult she lightens up agreeably. Shohreh Agdashloo has a gleefully sinister glint in her eyes as the queen of the crime family, Ben Schwartz is properly loath-able as her imbecilic son, and the support group offers some fine character players.
The movie would carry a lot less weight, however, without its other Nick. Growling through a mouth full of pointy teeth, seething with grievance at his reduced circumstances and unable to maintain the air of grand menace he's trying for, Nicholas Cage offers probably the goofiest parody version of Drac since George Hamilton in Love at First Bite back in 1979. Unlike Hamilton's, however, Cage's Count isn't meant to be lovable. Cage sinks his fangs into the role, and taps a rich vein of malignant narcissism.

Charles Leclerc claims superb Monaco F1 GP pole while Mercedes struggle
Charles Leclerc claimed pole for the Monaco Grand Prix with a superb lap on the streets of Monte Carlo for Ferrari. He beat his teammate Carlos Sainz into second, with Red Bull’s Sergio Pérez and Max Verstappen in third and fourth. Mercedes struggled with their car a handful on the bumpy circuit, George Russell qualifying in sixth and Lewis Hamilton in eighth. Hamilton was disappointed he was unable to improve on his final lap after the session ended with a red flag when Pérez crashed out. Lando Norris was fifth for McLaren. Leclerc went out first to set the pace on his first hot run in Q3, pushing hard with the times having improved throughout the session as the track rubbered-in. He went quickest with a time of 1min 11.376sec – Leclerc was completely hooked up, flying over the lap using every inch of track. It was magnificent, a full two-tenths clear of his teammate Sainz. The final runs were set to be dramatic but with 30 seconds remaining and Leclerc on track to likely even improve his time, Pérez went into the barrier at Portier and was then hit by Sainz. A red flag was immediately issued ending the session. There was a chance Verstappen might have improved but it is likely the Ferrari driver had enough to hold the pole he had by then won. The flag also prevented Hamilton’s attempt to improve his time and he had been up on his previous lap enjoying a set of new soft tyres. This is the pole the Monegasque driver wanted, especially after the bitter disappointment he suffered last year. Then he was unable to start from the pole he had claimed, after a crash on his final lap in qualifying inflicted damage to the driveshaft that was only discovered on his way to the grid on Sunday. The pole is likely to be absolutely vital with drivers emphasising that this year, more than ever, grid position is everything here. Overtaking is always extremely hard on the streets of Monte Carlo but with this year’s cars heavier and wider than ever, drivers fear it will be all but impossible. The modern formula is entirely unsuited to Monaco and for all that the circuit represents an immense challenge, the racing is all too likely to be very much a procession on Sunday. If Leclerc can hold his lead off the start and Ferrari avoid any mechanical problems, he is in every position to secure the win. It represents a real chance for Leclerc to wrestle back the championship lead after the last round in Spain where he had to retire, and Verstappen took a six-point advantage over his rival. An extraordinary turnaround given that Leclerc was 46 points ahead after the third round in Australia. Quick Guide How do I sign up for sport breaking news alerts? It will also represent his best shot yet at ending his “curse” at his home race. Leclerc has failed to finish in any of his races in his home town, across two F2 and three F1 races. Sebastian Vettel was in ninth for Aston Martin and Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon in seventh and 10th for Alpine. AlphaTauri’s Yuki Tsunoda clipped the wall at the chicane in Q3 but continued to make it to Q2 and finished in 11th. Valtteri Bottas was in 12th for Alfa Romeo, Kevin Magnussen and Mick Schumacher in 13th and 15th for Haas and Daniel Ricciardo in 14th for McLaren. Alex Albon and Nicholas Latifi were in 16th and 19th for Williams. Pierre Gasly was 17th for AlphaTauri, Lance Stroll in 18th for Aston Martin and Guanyu Zhou in 20th for Alfa Romeo. via Formula One | The Guardian https://www.theguardian.com/sport/formulaone

2022 Belgian Grand Prix - Race Report
Hello, everyone from a post-race week where we reunite for the thrill of Formula 1 with a triple-header after a long break. Honestly, we were getting very impatient with the 1-month summer break with no racing. We will revisit some noteworthy events that unfolded during the long-awaited Belgian Grand Prix, especially after last season's UTTER FIASCO. And while we start our article, we do not forget to remember Anthoine Hubert, a young driver who lost his life in a terrible pile-up during the 2019 Belgian Grand Prix Formula 2 Feature Race with love and longing for his dreams left incomplete. Ride in peace, Anthoine; we are still racing for you.
Grid Penalties, SPECTACULAR Qualifying Session.
We can not start this article without mentioning that nearly half of the drivers on the grid received grid penalties due to complete engine or engşne parts replacements which led to an extraordinary qualifying session. 6 drivers (please correct me if I'm wrong), including championship contenders Max Verstappen (Red Bull) and Charles Leclerc (Ferrari), received grid penalties for replacing engines or engine parts. Naturally, other teams, especially midfield - upper/midfield teams, wanted to take advantage of this situation. Alpine, for one, took 3rd place with their veteran driver 2x World Champion Fernando Alonso. McLaren, likewise, was not bad at all. Even Williams, considered a ''backmarker'', took a great spot with Alex Albon. This mixed-up grid indeed raised the levels of excitement for everyone.
A Classic Belgian Start: Chaos At The First Corner
Now onto the race. The historical Spa - Francorchamps track almost always makes for a chaotic race start, and this year was no exception. The Alonso - Hamilton contact left Hamilton out of the race, and Stroll coming real close to destroying Vettel made for a glammed-up invitation to the Safety Car during the opening lap. While Alonso made contact with 7x World Champion Lewis Hamilton as the latter did not leave enough space, our guess is that the young driver Lance Stroll almost destroyed his teammate, 4x World Champion Sebastian Vettel, due to cold tires and cold brakes. Meanwhile, our beloved ''flying Finn'' Valtteri Bottas could not escape a spinning Nicholas Latifi (whom we think we can now call the king of chaos) and met an early end to his race. Despite all this drama, it was quite an enjoyable race once the Safety Car left the track.
Super Max or Flying Dutchman?
I try to write as objectively as possible, but I just can't overlook certain things. Young defending champion Max Verstappen drove like a dream in Belgium, his 2nd home as if he were in a different dimension. He took the lead of the race on lap 12 after starting from 14th place due to grid penalties, and from that point onwards, even his teammate Sergio Perez who was running in 2nd place, could not catch up with him. Max took a considerably easy win with an over 18 seconds gap even to his teammate. We are unsure if we should keep calling him ''Super Max'' or start calling him the ''flying Dutchman'' at this point. What do you think?
Over And Over And Over Again... Ferrari & Strategical Disaster
As a Red Bull supporter, I am sincerely upset about what the young Ferrari drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz have to deal with. I can't even begin to understand how such a historical and iconic team like Ferrari, one of the oldest teams in Formula 1, can make such strategical errors. I am genuinely distraught and even sad. Fiasco 1: In Hungary, they opted to go with the hard compound tires while everyone else was complaining, and this weekend they did not use the hard compound tires at all even though it was advantageous! Fiasco 2: Despite his cries over the radio, they did not take him in for a pitstop, and then they took their championship contender driver in from 5th place, costing him a 5th place finish and a penalty for pitlane exit speed limit infringement! It is NOT MY INTENTION AT ALL to make fun of or to belittle, but someone PLEASE save these boys from this team!
In the end, defending champion Max Verstappen saw the chequered flag with a victory while his teammate Sergio Perez came home 2nd, hauling up a good points tally for himself and his team. He also took 2nd place in the championship standings, which makes us think, is this gonna be a championship battle between 2 teammates? On the other hand, Carlos Sainz took 3rd place for his team and completed the podium.
With that, we are ending yet another Race Report. This was relatively short as there were not many noteworthy events except those I mentioned, but I hope I did not make many mistakes. If I made errors and/or crossed the line of objectivity, I kindly request your forgiveness. I wish everyone a great weekend and goodbye until Sunday's Dutch Grand Prix.
