It’s actually awful how hostile the trans community is specifically to people who are both trans and intersex.

If you’re trans people still want to force you into their stupid little AMAB/AFAB binary. You have to be either a trans woman (or at least transfem) or a trans man (or at least transmasc). Even ignoring how exorsexist this is, it leaves no room for intersex people who are between cis and trans, no room for intersex people who are trans in nonormative ways (ex. AMAB* trans men, AFAB* trans women, intergender trans people), no room for intersex people who are trans in more than one way (ex. transfemasc/transmascfem people).

Gender and sex isn’t either/or, guys, and experiences are varied.

* I normally don’t like the widespread usage of AGABs because they (or at least the way people use them) erase intersex experiences but I’m using them here to demonstrate my point on how other people discuss trans and intersex people.

hs2 ramblings

i really wish we can have a ending or atleast a continuation to hs2. there so much interesting problems from where we left off. yiffany needs a mom. jade needs to wake up and realize shes been on a downhill sprial since she left the island and rose and kanaya need to have a fight or something, why? rose in hs2 is so manipulative, kanaya is brainwashed and wont stand up for her self and jade will do anything for anyone who shows her attention. vrissy and yiffany need to have a sibling bonding moment. jade and veriska need to have some dumb fight and they both realize this is diffrent now that jade is a adult and vriska is still a child, but also the same since jade and veriska both have nonormal ways of veiwing the world, they were both alone growing up, and they hung out with the same friend group. only one grew up to kill and the other wasent allowed to do much of anything, they are both god like charecters, like not in the hs god teir way but both jade and vriska have sooo much power over the narritive and plot. rose does too so vriska taking over the situation and keeping a paniced jade safe from a rose thats been in a seer daze for the past 15 years would be a interesting spin, like jane doesnt even need to be brought up but when they bring up how they hid yiffany with jane who used to be just a friend who happened to be the heir to the crocker empire but is now a fascist world leader and she had yiffany chained up, like vriska i bet would would get mad, since in a way thats less control then even she had with her mom, like no yiffany isant a mercany but atleast vriska had freedom to use gambling with dnd to pick her victims and to mentally distence herself from the alful things she was doing like hsdoashdoiasdhsioaio

@nonormality sent: 🍐  :    how intelligent is my muse overall?  are they smarter than the average person,  or less than?  are they primarily self-taught,  or did they acquire most of their knowledge in school?  are they more street smart or book smart?  

so, coming from a background of nobility, ellis does have a formal education. he probably knows a language or two, though he wouldn’t be fluent in them. It’s more of a ‘ he can read a book or document & use context clues to figure out any words he’s unsure about ‘ kind of deal when it comes to language. 

He probably has been taught about the history of Ferelden / fed a watered down version of the war with Orlais while growing up. It was highkey one of his favorite things to learn about, as many legends ended up being wrote in those battlefields. He took an interest in learning about the battles, how they were won & who fought them. I actually highkey hc that Loghain was one of his heroes growing up which makes Ostagar all the more devastating. He was also taught about riding horses, he had a tutor that him a duelist fighting style & his parents attempted to teach him how to wield a bow. Attempted being the key word here. 

When it comes to dealing with the world around him, he starts off not knowing a whole lot about the reality he lives in. He knows people have the potential to be terrible but doesn’t really see it firsthand until the fifth blight. Growing up he was given free reign of Highever with very little consequence, he was a Teryn’s son & liked to drag his sister, Lily, into trouble at every turn. 

People in Highever actually cared for them, but the rest of the world doesn’t offer the same courtesy... which is a lesson hard learned. He grows to learn how to navigate the world by mirroring the people around him, adopting aspects of their personality to fit into whatever situation he’s in. What helps him learn the most about street smarts is partaking in slim couldry’s crime waves. he chases a lot of emotional highs & that one was actually pretty informative as to how to survive in those situations. 

So i guess the shorter answer is he’s got a more formal background when it comes to book smarts, But he can & has adapted over the years. I will point out that as the taint & his schizophrenia progresses, his memory becomes a lot less reliable. it’s difficult for him to sort through his mind to fall back on actual facts & though the information is there, it’s not always easy to find.
