2. 5 favorites of your own work?

It's hard to choose because I have a lot of unfinished work that I'm very proud of as well as several non-art projects I'd like to include. Here's a collection of things in no particular order:

-my work in progress of all of @diirthara-ma and I's OCs! Pictured here from left to right is my warden, diirth's inquisitor, one of my two main inquisitors, Enast's sister in law, Enaste's younger brother, Enaste's younger sister, and Enaste's youngest sister.

-going along with the last image is @diirthara-ma and I's family tree for our Lavellan clan that I made! We needed to keep track of each family and how they're all connected so here's an incomprehensible diagram

-this Solas I drew. It's still not finished but I made it as a gift for @diirthara-ma and I had a ton of fun on it!

-the progress I've made on my miniature D&D terrain! As you can see, I haven't finished almost any build but I have a lot of fun slowly chipping away at them. Pictured are several of my buildings and scatter terrain. A lot of trial and error goes into these which is also a portion of why they take time. While this isn't the most flattering pic (several of my other trees stored away somewhere rn!) I'm particularly proud of my method I decided to use to create trees with poseable trunks and limbs that I came up with by frankenstining a few other terrain builder's designs.

Oof this one's really hard. For fanart it's probably Solas or Iron Bull (i know, i know i never actually draw them) and for OC's I think it's Ivan Amell because his face is so annoying looking and I enjoy pushing it to look even droopier each time

My attempt at a Dragon Age Inquisition tarot card for my Inquisitor Sahren Lavellan. It was my second completed work after I began learning digital art as a medium. I wish the textures were better, but both my drawing pad and my computer died. I want to revisit it someday, maybe tweak a few things now that I know Trespasser, or at least find someone willing to recolor and shade it. ;w; (This is a repost of the work, but I have posted this on other blogs of mine that I have lost to the Tumblr void)

It represents the Three of Swords, Judgement, and the Tower all in one, as I felt like a single card didn't represent him well enough. The ravens are Fear and Deceit, the ravens of Dirthamen.

The Three of Swords represents Sahren's three greatest regrets/burdens. The one in his back on the side of the Anchor that is only half-in represents his hatred for the role of Inquisitor, and how it feels very much like a burden he didn't ask for from a religion that he never believed in and feels rejected by, even as they revere him as the Herald of Andraste.

The second one in his back has Deceit sitting upon it. It represents his close friendship with and subsequent betrayal from Solas. It also represents the burden of understanding the truth of the history of the elves, and as he grew up expecting to be a Keeper someday, the lie of their spoken history is deeply embedded.

The third is self-inflicted and it represents his deep-seated guilt for the deaths of his mother and lover, before Inquisition. He couldn't save them despite being present. So fe feels helpless and responsible.. It also represents his regret at not being a mage like his mother had wanted, or a true hunter as his father expected.

Judgement represents multiple things, in this particular case.

The fact he must reevaluate his beliefs.

He must reevaluate his understanding of himself as Inquisition unfolds.

The fact that he still has more potential than a bitter and unknown man with no one to remember him, nor is his heart as sour as he seems to tell himself.

He must reevaluate what he learned as a child about Elvhenan, and the Dalish Pantheon. Overall, he is forced to make choices for the safety of the world, and for his people.

There's a lot of other symbolism thrown in there too, but I don't want to keep rambling.

Kahan Aeducan: My canon warden! Grew up as the youngest of the Aeducan brothers, born to a noble hunter and Endrin Aeducan. He took well to the brutal politicking of Orzammar and was known for his enjoyment in crafting deals or taking down lesser noble house plots against his family. He relishes in keeping people he loves safe and got his hands dirty to keep theirs clean. Honor was very important to him until Bhelen's betrayal and after becoming a warden he took every opportunity to further his chances even at the expense of others.

He is especially close with Zevran and Morrigan and after defeating the archdemon he left to chase after a cure for the Blight, using leads from Morrigan and his own research. He occasionally joined up again with Zevran to fight the crows and by Inquisition he uses his political clout in Fereldan to force their hand and require their help in closing the Breach. He has taken in a younger ex-crow Zevran discovered in his travels by the name of Ainara, and taken up a renewed fight against the crows alongside his husband, Zevran.

Aedan Cousland: One of my multi warden world state ocs! Grew up alongside his twin sister and became an accomplished, if untested, swordsman. Lived a plush life until the death of most of the Cousland family before the Blight and fled on his own to escape through the sewers. He worked his nobility to his favor and helped amass allies against the Blight, joining the warden with his warriors and becoming a warden himself. He falls for Morrigan and happily performs the ritual at her request to save them, and spends much of his time after the Blight traveling alongside her and marveling in her magic and caring for their son.

Athras Mahariel: Best friends with Tamlen and known for their budding romance with Merrill before becoming a warden. Originally born to an ex city elven father and Dalish mother, Athras took to hunting like a fish to water and was frequently found in the halla pens in their youth. After Tamlen becomes blighted by the mirror, they reluctantly become a warden and form quick bonds with Alistair at Ostagar. Frequently confused by the shemlen world and its customs, Athras often confided in Morrigan and Alistair, occasionally seeking the advice of Oghren due to his battle prowess. They harden Alistair and place him on the throne due to a concern over elvhen well being, becoming his consort, and are often the one he seeks advice from in his kingship. Functionally they're a shadow ruler of Fereldan, though few would dare to say it.

Rheya Tabris: Born to a night elf who fought alongside Loghain and Maric to retake Fereldan, Rheya was taught the art of subterfuge but took far better to wielding a greatsword and armor. She had a fierce temper and was protective of others around her, particularly Soris, who she viewed like a younger brother. She looked forward to her match with Nelaros, and after his death to save her in the castle, she kept the ring.

She became a fierce warden and a champion of the downtrodden, helping where she could and giving money when she could not. She romanced Leliana, taken in by her idealistic views and her own experiences with loss, and viewed Alistair and Sten like brothers. Outraged by Loghain's betrayal of the city elves, she fought and executed him, placing Anora on the throne after many threats to do the same if her promises to treat the elves well rang shallow. After the Blight she traveled with Leliana for a time, diverging in Kirkwall to help the alienage elves there and investigating rumors of a cured blighted mirror. Became close friends with Merrill and continues to search for a Blight cure though her hope wanes by Inquisition when she begins to hear the false calling.

Cilian Theriel: My bitchy blood mage <3. In the Circle he was very well behaved and quiet, mostly to prevent any extra attention from Templars. He had feelings for his best friend, Enoch Surana, but never acted on them out of concern for causing templars to separate them. A star pupil with a penchant for entropy magic, he relishes in becoming a warden in spite of his worry for Jowan and Enoch.

He swiftly takes the view that he must end the blight no matter the cost, and begins using blood magic to further their chances. Distrusts Alistair and finds kinship in Morrigan, but eventually is charmed by Zevran and becomes his partner. In spite of his determination, he refuses the ritual with Morrigan, arguing that it's a step too far to bring something so powerful and unknown into the world even if it will save his life. He dies slaying the archdemon.

ok let me preface this by saying i have NEVER played the iron bull romance and did i just watch a video to get a grip of it? absolutely (side note: i hated hearing the inquisitors voice again bc athras! does! not! sound! like! that!) but anyway: (this turned into somewhat of a liveblog so i'm putting it under a cut lmao

my initial thoughts before watching it are: i cant see a romance happen, i have never had bull high up on my approval list but they might fuck casually (she would totally peg him) HOWEVER

ok after watching it (and clearly losing my mind and track a few times) the answer is basically the same: romance? no. casual sex? maybe

this was a fun thing to do!! thank you so much for asking bunny 💜💜💜

i have always appreciated it when bull pulls the inquisitor to the side and shows them what the soldiers think of them and athras would appreciate that as well (not that she would ever admit to it)

the tavern scene after the dragon fight? hell to the nah, i enjoy that scene personally but it always frustrated me because athras would not act like any of the options lmao but you know she might take the first sip and after that? who knows! winky face

ok the scene on the battlegrounds? where you hit him with the stick? she'd indulge him at first but would be dismissive towards the end (not good for romance is it?) she understands people deal with their fears differently but that whole scene has a weird (to me) sexual undertone (even before the flirtation) and i don't vibe with that (though "you like it rough huh? only from you" is pretty s tier i gotta admit and athras would like it)

being introduced to the chargers? love that (like many lavellan players it annoys me to hell and back that bull tries to explain the dalish to me, but that's not really his fault) she also appreciates that he took a dalish in after they were cast out (funfact: dalish and athras have the same vallaslin ingame (my hc is that each clan has different ones but dirthamen yes) i also love that interaction with stitches, athras is a self proclaimed potion expert so they would get along (or they would hate each other - her and the guy where you brew potions at the start of the game had a bit of a feud going on bc she thought he didn't know shit about potions) "it's a poltice, ser, you're not supposed to drink it" is ENGRAVED into my memory (ok now im just talking about athras instead of the romance, i apologise lmao)

sidenote: since bull keeps talking about redheads, athras has a sister (also with the inquisition) who is a redhead so that's actually pretty funny to me and i have never thought of it before

SO the dreadnought huh? ofc athras saves the chargers - she's not as loyal to the inquisition as she should be but she never wanted the position as inquisitor anyway (much like she didnt want to be first and eventually keeper to her clan) also hissrad meaning keeper of illusions/ liar and athras having dirthamen (god of secrets) vallaslin??? iconic maybe i do need this romance in my life lmao

god that fucking fight on the battlements?? where bull gets poisoned? another memory that's drilled into my skull, very iconic also that scene made me realise that maybe solas and bull aren't all that different (we know this but sometimes it's good to experience it again)

ok i see we are getting to the actual interesting parts that i never got to see lets gooo OH BOY OH BOY we don't like that one LMAO "you don't know what you are asking for" and him being all dominant? athras is not into that but we will see, we will see 👀
