Inosuke finds himself for the first time ever not wanting to leave on a mission. Tanjiro explains it might be because he will miss you.

Inosuke, Tanjiro, and Zenitsu all stood outside the gates of headquarters getting ready to leave for their next mission. An assortment of people gathered around to say goodbye to the demon slayers and wish them well on their journey. Inosuke realized that the helper who always took extra care of him was making their way over to say goodbye.

“Are you all ready to leave Inosuke?” They asked.

“Yup sure am! Those demons better be ready because Lord Inosuke is coming!”

The cutest giggle escaped their lips.

“Be careful for me ok, and here shhh I made you some extra.” The helper handed over some rice cakes to the demon slayer. Inosuke didn’t realize the feeling he now had in his stomach. Oh duh it must be hunger. Inosuke grabbed the rice cakes and began to eat them.

“Those are for the journey Inosuke! But something told me you’d eat them right away, so here promise to save these ones ok.” Inosuke grabbed them from the helper. Hu... that feeling again... Maybe I'm still hungry he thought. He put the extra rice cakes away to humor the helper, but as soon as they turned away, he planned on popping them right into his mouth.

“Ready Inosuke?” Tanjiro asked already starting to head out with Zenitsu.

“Well looks like you're all ready... be careful ok...” The helper moved towards Inosuke and pulled him into an awkward hug. Inosuke wasn’t sure what this custom was.. Were they trying to fight? Surely not they were no match for him or even a beginner swordman. He did not move but stayed limp in the hug.

“Umm ok bye!” They said turned and quickly left. Inosuke noticed they were breathing heavier and seemed to have turned pinkish... Maybe they were sick? Or was there something he was missing. Whatever there's demons to take care of he thought and took off after the other two boys.

“Wow that was embarrassing to watch.” Zenitsu said.

“Hu?” Inosuke wasn’t sure what he was talking about.

“THEY HUGGED YOU AND YOU JUST STOOD THERE!!! DO YOU KNOW WHAT I WOULD HAVE DONE IF THAT WAS ME?”

“WHY DON’T YOU JUST GO TO SLEEP AND BE OF SOME ACTUAL USE.” Inosuke retorted.

“Stop it! Both of you! It’s too early in our mission for this.” Tanjiro stated hoping to calm the two boys.

The two demon slayers stopped arguing and continued on their journey. Zenitsu caught up to Tanjiro and they both were in a conversation about whatever, Inosuke didn’t care to listen.

A hug? Is that what that was? What was that supposed to symbolize? Inosuke found himself wishing Zenitsu wasn’t here and maybe then he’d ask Tanjiro. He didn’t want to give the yellow hair boy any excuse to make another jab at him.

A hug had to symbolize something good right? After all the helper took off looking a bit flustered. I mean who wouldn’t be after being so close to Lord Inosuke though. For the first time Inosuke found himself not as excited to be out on a mission. He wasn’t sure what was going on, but his stomach felt weird, and he had the slightest urge to turn around. For what?? This never happens.. Maybe I'm sick he thought.

“Inosuke?” Tanjiro asked approaching the demon slayer.

“Hu? Yeah what do you want?”

“Are you ok?”

“Yes! And I don’t need you checking up on me alright!”

“Ok.. You're just falling behind quite a bit and that’s unusual...”

Inosuke realized Tanjiro was right. What was wrong with him today??

“Ok maybe something is wrong.” Inosuke replied.

“What do you mean?”

“I think I might be sick.”

“Sick? How do you feel?”

“Usually there isn't anything else I want to do but be out here on a mission... But I have this weird feeling like I want to turn back. I don't know I just don’t feel right. My stomach feels weird and... I DONT KNOW OK I’M SURE IM FINE NEVER MIND!”

Inosuke found himself frustrated not being able to describe what was going on with him, he just knew he felt different.

“Oh I see..” Tanjiro said with a sly smile.

“WHAT?? DON’T GO LOOKING AT ME LIKE THAT!”

“I’m sorry Inosuke... but could it be you're going to miss your friend?”

“Hu?”

“That helper that is always sneaking you food and gave you hug before you left. Could it be you’re going to miss them while we're on our mission.” Tanjiro asked in a curious tone trying not to upset Inosuke anymore than he already was.

Miss them?? Inosuke didn’t think he’d ever missed someone in his whole life. He’d had no family or friends before Tanjiro and Zenitsu and they were always together on missions or at headquarters. But Tanjiro might be right. The thought of the extra food the helper always found ways to get to him, and the way they smiled at him as though he was the best thing in the world gave him the slightest desire to turn back around. And even though he wasn’t sure what a hug meant it made him curious for more interactions with them.

“What would that mean if I missed them?”

“Well, it could mean you like them...”

“Like them?”

“Yeah you enjoy their company and being around them makes you happy.” Tanjiro attempted to explain.

“I don’t like that it makes me feel different. I’m not used to wanting to do anything other than missions and testing my strength.”

“Well when I miss someone, I use it to fuel my motivation to fight even harder and to be even stronger. Then when I come back, I'll have amazing stories to share, and the time apart only makes seeing each other again even better.”

Inosuke thought about this for a few moments before responding.

“Yeah.. That makes a lot of sense. ALRIGHT THEN! Let's get this demon and when we get back, I'll tell them all about it!” Inosuke felt fired up and ready for the mission now, and for the first time ever excited to come back as well.

Tanjiro smiled at his friend. It was endearing to see him grow and learn human customs. Tanjiro always tried to be patient with Insouke and explain things in a way that would make sense to the stubborn boy.

“One more thing.. Next time you should probably hug them back.”

“Right.”

“But not too hard! Gently ok!” Tanjiro said having an image of Inosuke squeezing the life out of the poor helper.

“Gentle, got it! They do look weak.” Inosuke said.

“YOU ARE SUCH AN IDIOT DON’T GO AROUND INSULTING THEM LIKE THAT! YOU DON’T EVEN KNOW HOW GOOD YOU HAVE IT INOSUKE!” Zenitsu yelled.

“Ughh!” Tanjiro ran faster to get away from the two boys bickering. The two followed and continued their journey.

btw these photos r just my favorite boys 😓 ofc hanji first bc i got him on the uquiz but ok ok i know i’ve ranted abt it enough and ure probably SICK of me but this single-handedly almost inspired me to go back to my smau roots like YES … i have a plot in mind. idk if i’ll go through with it but this smau reminded me of how fun it was making them and reading (this is the first one i’ve properly read in MONTHS believe it or not). every character u had was so on point and the humour was ltrly right up my alley i kept cackling. i read it for approx 3-4 hours since i started eating dinner until almost midnight when i fell asleep n it was just so ??? and don’t even get me started on the written parts. they were so vivid and so many parts stuck out to me like the axial point zeroing in on jeongin and how long it took silly yn to grab that piece of paper on the ground to the cafe scene to their first KISS like please please end me actually like please i love it so much !!!! i will never ever get sick of talking about star lost 😭 one of my favorite smaus on here i’m so happy i found it like it genuinely brings me so much comfort n it felt so realistic even tho it was a soulmate au ?? like the characters felt so Human im not making sense am i but i love star lost thank u for listening

ok i beat TLOU Part I last night so it's time for my gushing oiiiiii this pretty much ended up being the fangirling of a graphics/animation nerd sorry

undoubtedly i feel like this is the absolute best way to experience the game, not just for the quality of life improvements but how much all the new subtleties to the facial animations affected how i interpreted the characters and how many emotional beats hit me. i felt like i was able to see much more into what joel was thinking and feeling about other characters and situations and sympathise with him even more just by watching his face which i felt was huge as he's the kind of character that has more understated emotions. even more than joel and ellie's interactions though, i think the biggest winners of this remake are all of the side characters whose faces were hugely improved and their actors performances got to shine so much more. i loved tess even more in this playthrough, bill, henry and sam hit me much harder, and the npcs and enemies certainly felt more like people than 'ah i can tell by this guy's face that he's an npc'. i haven't finished left behind yet, but i can absolutely say the same for riley.

actually the first thing i intended to talk about on this post before i started gushing about the facial animations was the BEGINNING of the game, the intro where you experience texas going to shit was when i realised exactly what the devs meant when they said they tried to capture the game 'as it is in your memory'. in this part and many others i felt so intense, the improved sense of space and scale in this remake adds a lot to how these kinds of scenes come across. the way they were able to capture the lighting and atmosphere of certain times of day added to all of this as well.

i can probably say more about the visual improvements and how the whole experience was incredibly immersive, but on the gameplay, i know i can never go back to the original game again because of things like being able to smash windows to shoot through em, the 3D audio helping me be able to tell when someone is coming up behind me instead of just turning around constantly while in listen mode, the improved enemy AI making me feel legit overwhelmed at times with how coordinated the enemies can be (particularly in the final encounter at st mary's hospital) one of the biggest things i was feeling was "i cannot wait to replay this on harder difficulties and get my shit kicked in". it also increased my love/hate relationship with the stalker enemies, and i felt like bloaters took longer to kill than just throwing a couple of molotovs at them.

there are a lot of other things to praise like how in the boston QZ i could hear all of these disturbing ambiences coming from the buildings like babies crying, people coughing from being sick, screaming, but overall i just want to say i could feel how much care went into remaking this and refining the work they had all done 10 years ago. watching the pre release videos of the devs talking about it, i can't imagine how it must feel to go back to your best work and be able to show yourself just how far you've come as individuals in your field and as a team. now im going to go play more and probably i'll stream a hard mode playthrough at some point bye!

This isnt really an ask sorry i just have to complain for a bit and since youre my main source of mcr tour updates i figured i complain here. anyways i keep seeing all these fun outfits gerard wears and im like. i was at the bologna concert in june and he just wore plain clothes and im so mad im so jealous. why didnt he cry blood at my concert. why wasnt he a nurse at my concert. he just wore a plain shirt and jeans whats up with that. makes me feel like i wasnt even part of this tour because i didnt get a fun outfit. You had been sitting in the corner of someone's house deciding to finally give up on finding your friends knowing that they had probably already found some random guy to hook up with. Looking around and watching the drunk young adults grind, sing, dance, scream and drink the night away you finally had enough of sitting there, you stood up from your seat walking into the kitchen and looking at the several different arrangements of drinks noticing they had fireball, whiskey, tequila, gin, brandy, and several other things in one section then having the beer in another.

Not wanting anything to hard and hating beer you went for the fruit punch pouring your cup 3/4 of the way and walking up the stairs making the decision not to open any closed doors knowing that one or several of your friends could be in that room doing things you didn't want to vision your friends doing right now. Noticing a slightly open door, seeing smoke continuously flowing out of the room as people go in and out some alone some with friends or partners.

Finally concluding that you didn't have anything to do and you were tired of being so sober you walked into the room the aroma of weed and what you think is vanilla and strawberry flavored juul pods. Sitting down on the couch near a window, trying to stay your farthest from the two men you were on the couch next to.

Pulling out your pod and taking a longer hit then you would usually and exhaling taking note to the pudding head and black haired male next to him who had been taking glances and staring on and off for about 20 minutes now. Taking your phone out trying to figure out why your phone had been vibrating in your back pocket continuously for a few minutes now. Rolling your eye seeing that your mother had been calling you and texting you nonstop making sure you were studying for your tests that weren't happening till like 3 months.

Texting your mother and telling her that you've been studying all week and its 10pm on a Saturday and you had been cramming for the past week and a half with barely any breaks. Turning your phone off whilst rolling your eyes. Noticing that the two boys across from you were still continuing to stare at you, you stared back at the two hoping that it would make them stop.

Them finally stopping you go on your phone texting your friends once more as an attempt to check on them even though you knew that at least two of them were together. "Hey..." the bed head said. "Uhm- hi." you said not really in the mood to talk to anyone right now. "I know we've been staring at you for a while now and sorry for that, but my friend said your beautiful/handsome and he would love it if you gave him his number." he said with a slight smirk on his face. "Well I mean sure but only if he comes over and asks himself." you say looking at the bi haired colored boy.

"Okay- wait sorry hold on." hurriedly getting up from the old beaten up couch with a smile on his face walking back over the his friend and whispering in his ear while pointing at you, the shorter boy blushes with a smile on his face getting up from his chair and awkwardly shuffling over to you. Sitting next to you and smiling the blush on his cheeks becoming more prominent.

"Hey... sorry about my friend. I told him to leave you alone, but he didn't listen." he said rubbing the back of his neck. "It's fine... so what's your name." you said as you took a hit from your juul "My names Kenma. What's yours?" he said finally starting to seem a little bit comfortable with you. "(M/N)" you said holding your hand out to shake his hand a warm smile coming across your face as you feel his skin contact yours.

"Your pretty to by the way." you say moving your phone out of your back pocket not liking the feeling of your mother blowing up your phone against your butt cheek. "What-?" Kenma said look up at you with wide eyes. "Your friend told me you thought I was pretty/handsome, so I said your pretty." You said smiling. "Oh ah- thanks." he said with a slight chuckle tucking some stray strands of hair behind his ear frowning slightly.

"You going to ask for my number or do I have to." you said smirking slightly in a more teasing/sensual tone, the smirk becoming wider and more prominent when that heavy blush that dusted his cheeks earlier dusted them once again. "You look like a strawberry again Kenma." you state teasing him once again and making his blush deeper. "So- uhm can I have your number... then." he says pointing at the phone on your thigh.

"Yeah sure give me your phone right quick" he says giggling a bit at how shy he was. "Yeah sure- here..." he says practically glowing and shaking a little from excitement. "Uh I called my number so your number should be in my phone now, and my contact name is my name. I didn't know what you wanted it as, so I put it as that." you said handing him his phone back and half way making sure he noticed. "Okay thanks I'll call you tonight to make sure you get home- if that's okay with you."

"Yeah it's fine with me. And I'll do the same if I leave before you." you said your voice lowering slightly as you start to become calmer and more comfortable around him. "Okay cool. You want a drink-" he says not knowing what to do now his mind creating an awkward atmosphere that wasn't even there. "Yeah sure. They didn't have anything good though which is why I got juice before." you said warning him that nothing good would be in the downstairs kitchen.

"Yeah I got mostly juice too. My friend wanted me to get a little tipsy so he wasn't drunk alone." he said you both walking down stairs as Kenma texts Kuroo letting him know where he was going so he would leave without him, it happened once and he'll never allow it to happen ever again. "Kool-Aid or Hawaiian punch?" you said as you chose something from the fridge. "Kool-Aid... duh." Kenma said laughing a bit.

"Which flavor?" you say. "Purple and red." answered checking his phone. "You like purple! I love purple too everyone I meet hates purple." you say a childlike grin on your face. (Yes, ur getting excited over Kool-Aid. The purple flavor deserves more hype!!) "Kenma!" the boy from earlier said hurriedly walking over to you both. "Yes kuroo." he said drinking out of his cup, you laughing a bit noticing he drinks like a 1st grader after they just got done playing outside.

"It's almost 3 we got to go. You have class at like 8 and my class is an hour before yours so let's go." Kuroo said ready to drag him away. "Well I have to go I have a pretty early class tomorrow, but I'll be sure to call you." he said making sure he had everything he originally came with in his pockets. "Yeah sure bye Kenma and..." pausing waiting for Kuroo to tell you his name again. "Oh! Kuroo my names Kuroo."

"And Kuroo. We'll talk later 'mkay?" you said smiling at Kuroo then going to look back at Kenma. "Yeah sure I'll probably text you first by the way." he said him and Kuroo grabbing each other's hands and saying bye. Checking the time, the realization finally settling in that your friends were still missing, and it was almost 3 in the morning.

'Jesus fucking christ where the hell are these fuckers' you think to yourself storming back up the steps your patients being thin to none. 'On my mommy if these hoes fucking somebody I'm leaving' putting your ear up to at least 4 different doors before you finally found them, seeing one friend passed out in the bathroom and the others scattered around the room.

"My god what did you guys get yourselves into" you said finally feeling the exhaustion that you were suppressing throughout the past two weeks. "Ty's sick and vomiting it's guts out in the bathroom, Isaiah's knocked he's been like that for about an hour now, and Alex was crying but ink's now under the desk over there... and I didn't drink a lot so I'm fine." your friend said you trying to find Alex.

"Ok well its... 5 minutes away from being 4 am.", "Okay..."

**Timeskip**

After taking everyone home and making sure they got in bed safely you and your friend Malik both shared an uber back to both of your houses. Finally reaching the comfort of your room you go to your connected bathroom and start getting ready for the night. Taking a shower, doing your skin care, getting a snack while putting on your show starting to finally calm down.

Finally finishing your food getting up to brush your teeth and going back to your room pressing play to your show again. Turing on your night light and finally laying down. Jumping slightly when you hear you phone go off completely forgetting about it. Turning over to your nightstand to get your phone. Confused when an unknown number shows up on your phone.
