‘Baptism of Sin’ fan story - Kalameet design
This is my design of Kalameet for a 3D model, for a time ago made story about Oswald in his younger age, and his return to Carim to become a Pardoner, seizing the reign of Kalameet once again as he attempts to burn Oswald’s homeland down.

Oswald and Cromwell are on two different spots on the Judgy Spectrum, and confessing your sins to them would be extra uncomfortable for very different reasons.
Oswald is the kind of judgy where he finds whatever you're confessing to amusing and probably intends to tell his colleagues about it during lunch break later - hell, he even tells you of another person, whom he mentions by name, whom your confessions or amount of confessions made him think of - you can tell he clearly enjoys his job and gossip, and that's what makes it extra uncomfortble, aside from the fact that you're literally confessing your sins.
Cromwell on the other hand is the kind of judgy where he is not amused at all and holds a dislike for the confesser, and while he gives you the Pardoner talk of "If your heart is yet sincere, your sins will be forgiven" and the like, if you have even a smidge of people-reading ability, you can tell that all his "kind" words are laced with sarcasm, and he seems to, at the very least, not enjoy his job, if he doesn't actively dislike it. Couple that with how his voice sounds like a bottomless abyss, and there you have it.
... Personally, I'd rather confess my sins to Oswald and risk him telling his friends and neighbours about what I said than making Cromwell hate me as he towers over me in a dark room I can't leave safely because there's table-sized spiders outside.

I can't with the previous post. It's just so good applied to Levi, Lacie, Oswald and even Jack.
Levi has his hands tied by the Baskerville system that is a sort of scam by the Jurors‚ like every Glen. But he says "let's just create a change" and gives a will to the Core. And he does so with the full intention of changing the narrative, if just to avoid the boredom of spending eternity watching the same thing happen over and over again from a sit in someone else's mind.
Lacie goes along with it because of her desire to ease the Core's loneliness, but in her idea of the children of misfortune being a consequence of this loneliness and her feelings of doubt or reservations, perhaps, revealed even before the tree scene in the scene in which she talks about this with Oswald, we could interpret this as her desire to end the existence of the children of misfortune and thus the cycle.
Jack plays into this in his attempt to take the "real" world to the "Abyss" world, but when he most consciously twists the narrative the Jurors had settled was when he intently made the decision to take the power from the Baskervilles. And I do think it has to do with ending the very system that doomed Lacie and Oswald and he deemed cruel and like torture, but mainly it is so that no one would interfere with him in the future.
Oswald tries to destroy the new narrative Jack has or is creating first by trying to stop him, but later on by trying to stop Levi's schemes before everything happened, resettling the narrative he was controlled and doomed by, serving still as their tool. And then he literally faces the truth, in the most explicitly way no one ever has been told this in that "real" world before, and threatens to kill the instigators of that narrative. And then just renounces, in a lack of action that is him at his most active ("not with a bang but a whimper", how fitting is that?!!!).
Ultimately there is a middle ground but the narrative is changed for good. For better or worse. With uncertain future consequences. But it is changed, and it feels kinder. And as a thank you the source of every narrative, the ink and paper of the narrative, lulls someone who shouldn't have existed but changed the world to sleep by telling him a different story. Because that's it. They're stories, and Oz deserved to go with a kinder one, because the ink and paper of the narrative loves him. And it's so interesting how that works metanarratively too. The author tells the story, but the author tells the reader a story about the stroy telling a softer version of the story, so that the reader too will get it alongside Oz. That works on several levels and it's so so interesting.
#I talk too much#I should probably delete this later#I was thinking a couple of days ago about how Lacie states that to Oswald in chapter 101 and how it seems to hint towards her choosing#to go through it not just in an attempt to ease the Core's loneliness but also trying to end the cycle if the children of misfortune really#originate from that. Ultimately it doesn't seem to work because even after Vincent there had kept existing new children. It could be argued#that perhaps it's due to the Will's own loneliness and isolation‚ or to the Core now being more sure about what loneliness is‚ or maybe#the author just didn't think of it further. Even after everything that happens the existence of the children of misfortune is necessary to#access the Core‚ that will now speak through Jack's body‚ Jack's mouth. So maybe Lacie's theory is true. And I like to think it is‚#but I'm biased bc I like how it works narratively and I love the concept of the children of misfortune being like emanences of the Core#and the parallelisms drawn from it. Like with Jack. Lacie's attempt to ease the Core's loneliness + chance the cycle works so well with#Jack's own intention and methods but in a twisted way‚ which works so well with how he misinterpreted her desire in his will to keep living#The Core gaining a certain sense of personhood through Lacie works very well with Jack both gaining first and then losing it for the same#The Core having a vague feeling of loneliness that Lacie recognises and knowing to acknowledge it thanks to Lacie works well with Lacie#learning to do the same through Jack‚ and with both Jack and Lacie recognising that loneliness in each other and feeling some kind of#connection and understanding due to that‚ yet not knowing it in themselves until facing the other. How that dooms them both in some ways#And now it's the typical Core/Lacie/Jack parallelisms that get a thousand faces and mirages through the story#of which I always talk and that makes me end up talking about pretty much every character in the manga and Cantor's transfinite numbers#so I will shut up already. I've already talked a lot. And sorry for the post but I couldn't fit everything in the tags#and I don't want to lose the idea‚ I want to keep on thinking about it more thoroughly#Pardon also my denomination of the worlds. Understand the " in the nietzschean sense please#Also that goes to my future self if I forget but I think I'll understand what I mean with that#I'm myself after all‚ if slightly altered‚ and live inside myself#I think there was some other clarification I wanted to make and perhaps some correction but I can't recall right now#It doesn't matter much because this is a draft for future personal pondering‚#but I hope it's not too grave as to confuse my future thoughts or that at least I will catch it later on

"caging your lover against a wall with your arms to kiss them ." for whoever you're feeling
Y'know what. I haven't provided some Rom/Oswald content in too damn long. So. I fixed that. :3 » KISS AND TELL PROMPTS | OC DIRECTORY «
Again with the fuckin’ raiders. Straggling themselves through the radiated mist, hellbent on getting to their target, and all just to end up wailing in agony, either booking it back to their respective cesspools or—worse yet—crumple onto the sidewalk, unmoving. And now, he has to clean up the damn mess.
Thankfully, the process is simple: Strip ‘em of weapons, toss ‘em back out where they came from.
“Ah, hey, there, Ken.” A ghoul lumbers up to him, teeth clattering with each little hiss, as Rom hurls the last body out of the park gate. He wipes the blood off his hands before ruffling what little hair the ghoul has left. “What, did Oz send you to check on me? Or was that all you?”
Ken doesn’t answer; Rom knows that. Simply stares at him, snaps his jaw with what sounds like a distorted bark.
“Yeah, yeah. Let’s get back before he worries.”
The walk back is uneventful, and he only has to stop occasionally to fix a jammed sprinkler or two. Ken eventually shuffles away to a pack of other Afflicted, doing… whatever it is they do.
Entering the court’s theater, Rom immediately strips himself of his coat, laden with grime, dropping it off in the wash bucket on his way backstage. The man’s developed a sixth sense it seems because Oswald is quickly poking his head out with a smile on his face. Gone is his tuxedo blazer, in his hand is the book he’d been reading—the epitome of someone who’d just been relaxing… or perhaps napping in the armchair. That’s probably most accurate.
“Welcome back. Large haul today, I take it?”
“Sure was,” Rom answers in a sigh, rubbing at a rather pesky knot in the shoulder. He’s getting too old for this shit. “All taken care of now, though. Even had Ken’s help.”
Oswald chuckles. Leans against the stage partition with crossed arms and ankles, tapping the book’s spine against his bicep idly. “Did you now?” His stance, while lax, is speaking volumes.
And that’s what makes Rom approach. Slowly, each stride purposeful. Until the two share the same breath of air, Oswald boxed in between his arms and swallowed by his shadow. He stands there with weight fully on his hands as to sag forward, to the point that their marred lips nearly flutter together. All it would take is the smallest movement.
“Thank you. For doing that,” Oswald mutters. It’s hard to know if he realizes that his hands are actively sneaking under Rom’s shirt to cement themselves on his hips. But, that’s what they’re doing.
Rom smirks, his rogue gold fang poking out enough to press into his lip. “You know you don’t have to do that. Long as I have you to come back to.”
“... That was cheesy, for you.”
“What can I say? You’re rubbing off on me, Oz.”
He chuckles again, and it’s a sound Rom will never tire of. So resounding and full, even with half of his hearing made useless. An immediate remedy for the scratches of the demons rummaging around his subconscious.
That miniscule distance is soon closed. The kiss is chaste and longing, and neither want to pull away. Oswald blunt nails dig subtly into Rom’s hips, enough to pull a soft snarl from his gut, enough to part his lips as he shifts to rest on his forearms. Who knows for how long they stand there like teenagers sneaking off on their lunch break.
Eventually, that need for air—ever so inconvenient—breaks them apart. Oswald’s gazing at him so damn fondly, the aura of his eyes somehow brighter than normal. “Now, much as I’d love to stay here, doing this… you need a bath. You smell.”
“Well, that’s rude.” But Rom knows he’s right; he’s wearing the stench of raiders like another shirt. He sneaks one more light, quick kiss, though. “You’ll be waiting for me?”
This is an exchange they have countless times. Storybook, as if a part of a magical act they’d rehearsed to death. And even still, the response makes Rom’s heart thunder against his ribs because he knows it’s true.
“Always, my prince.”

I know that the idea that Jim didn't pardon Ed and Os, only Barbara and Lee is a very common one and very in character, but I personally headcanon that it went something like this:
Jim: "Alright, since both of you have helped defend this city, I'm giving you a pardon for your past crimes. Don't make me regret my decision."
Oswald: "Don't worry, old friend! Ed and I are new men! We have turned a new leaf! Our future is one of legality and law! We will make you proud, Jim. Just you wait and see!"
Ed: "Yup. No more crimes for the Riddler and the Penguin."
Jim, sighing: "Fine. I'm trusting you two." *leaves the room*
Ed, immediately after: "Wanna go rob a bank?"
Oswald: "You read my mind!"

Physicals Part.2
Oswald: Alright! Last week, some of you landed in the infirmary, and a few- *counts recruits* -are still bedridden
Gaz: *Places a hand on Oswalds shoulder* Maybe we should take it easy today?
A few SAS recruits: *Nods enthusiastically*
Oswald: *Thinks for a bit* hmmm...alright...
Gaz: *Breaths out a sigh of relief* Sweet bloody relief...
Oswald: But, we'll be going extra hard on the usual upper body exercises to make up for it. Gaz, make sure to triple the amount of sets for today
SAS recruit: *Speaks up nervously* Pardon Capt, but maybe we should just take it easy for both? By next week, we'll be down to 1/4th the original recruits and some of us are still recovering from last weeks physical
Oswald: *Sighs* Alright. You make a good point
Gaz: *Gives a thumbs up of acknowledgement*
SAS recruit: *Smiles and nods back*
Gaz: Looks like its an easy day today, huh Oz?
Oswald: Oh? Of course. I mean, how else would they be well rested for next weeks 8 mile run? *smiles and walks off towards the recruits*
Gaz: ...
Gaz: I'm glad Ghost is taking the physical with her next week

So hello...I kinda disappeared for a moment after Don's Canto was announced. After seeing that, I immediately remembered my list, and I wanted to remake it to be ready for her Canto. However, when I started to do it, and then I read shit tone of theories about her, and everything became confusing, and I am kinda procrastinated everything. But I'm back! And well, that's the mini list. It's all shady things that happened with Don in our main story and events. To save some time and energy, I only mentioned things that are definitely shady, and I'm certain 99% will play a role in her Canto, but it's still pretty chaotic.
I am also going to make analysises of all her IDs and EGOs in two separate parts and what I think they will lead to.
I didn't write a lot about any theories because there are A LOT of them, but I would love to hear your personal favorites and promise to give my best opinion about them
Also to the person who wrote to me about Discord, I tried to find you, but it well there wasn't enough information for me to understand how, so if you are still interested in talking about Don, please just write me in Messeges.
Okay back to the List
.
1. REDACTED
That thing appears in her character description, in a list of particulars , and none of the other characters has anything like this. Also, her list mentions Delusional of Grandiore. However, she does not show any symptoms (yet)
2. Ferris wheel and Carnival
We already saw a Ferris wheel in form of windmill on her character art and carousel in the window of her persinal EGO art and now with a cover for her Canto, we can with certainty say that she has something to do with this theme. The closest thing to Carnival we saw in the City idb Oswald's 8 o'clock Circus. Which is extremely fucked up place and if Don is really was part if it I would be surprised that she looks so normal(both physically and mentally)
Oswald's ideology also has a lot of about wishes and performance, which could suit her character arc quite well, but with him being dead, I am not sure who is left to control Circus.
3. Eyes and dance
Two little hints from second Canto from which my obsession with Don began. We still have no idea what that could possibly mean.
I should mention that there was a theory that her eyes are cognito filters, but I doubt that.
(There were also theories that she's blood fiend, which is interesting.)
4. Deal
In Canto III Episode 10 we get a first mention of mysterious deal that Don Quixote made with Vergilius. It's important to mention that while he beat shit out of her she still argued about her point, but only he mentioned that "deal" she immediately backed up.
Second mention of a deal happens in Canto IV Episode 28 where sinners wonder outloud about their wishes that brought them to the Limbus and Don only gets "...". Which is fucking weird, because there were other sinners who didn't say anything, but only Don was singled out.
Also it seems like a person with whom she made a deal was Vergilius, which I'd already unusual because it's Faust who does this kind of job.
5. Old friends, rampages and distortions
Canto III Episode 19 where Don Quixote beats Sinclair to bring him to his senses and than says "Pardon my rash action. Often I would find myself overcome by fervor, rampaging much the same as a riderless horse. At such moments, mine old friends helped me to come to myself—by beating me senseless. ‘Twas, at times, the only remedy to the fever that had overtaken me."
And well, that's only time she speaks about her past, giving us this little story. And it sounds horrible. However, we can not deny that this type of therapy works in Project moon world really well. I mean, we just finished Canto, where we beat Heatcliff to bring him to his senses.
Actually, if you think about that, most of "rampages" in these games( excluding "panic" from Lopotomy) happen while characters experience Distorting or EGO corruption and surprisingly Don Quixote have some sort of experience with Distortions?
In Canto IV Episode: 53, when we see DongRang Don Quixote is the first to understand that he's experiencing Distortion. And then, in Risk Levels & Classifications, she mentions that Moses(the DISTORTION detective) sounds familiar to her.
Which makes us wonder if she or someone in her past experienced Distortions?
6. Miguel
Don Quixote's quote "Sueno Imposible" is a direct reference to the musical Man Of La Mancha, and Miguel is a main character of this musical author of the story of Don Quixote who trying to live up to his heroic life.
Also, at old sprites, she had MIGUEL written on the bottom of her coat, but it was removed from the model now. HOWEVER, on her official stand, there is still written MIGUEL.
And that kind of makes us wonder if her character arc could be more inspired by musical than book, or if her real name would Miguel. We still not sure, but it definitely should play a role in her Canto.
