Baby and the Bees: Out of Service

Yang and Blake are co-sleeping with the baby until they can get a proper bassinet. The baby sleeps best on Yang's chest because of her natural warmth, so Blake had to change her side of the bed to keep snuggling her girlfriend/fiancée/wife.

Yang: (wakes up from a dead sleep with a scream)

Blake: Yang! Are you alright?! What's wrong?! Is the baby okay?!

Yang: (bright red and frozen stiff) y-y-y-yeah.... s-she's fine.. b-but I think... uh... I t-think she's hungry...

Blake: What? (Sees Yang's chest where the baby has firmly "latched" on, ears flicking) O-Oh! U-um...

Yang: (shrieking in a whisper as she flexes against dropping the baby to flail her remaining arm frantically) Dammit, kid! Those are out of service! You're not getting anything out of 'em!

Blake: (pulls baby off of Yang's tit) No, Sweetheart. Those are mine. (Takes a fussing baby into the kitchen to make a bottle)

Baby: (downs bottle with ears flicking happily and promptly passes out after being burped)

Blake: (nestles back into bed next to Yang with the baby curled into her belly) Soooo-

Yang: I don't want to talk about it. (Ducks head underneath her pillow)
