4 Period Books for Menstruators to Read
Menstruators across the globe must be missing something big and interesting because there are some key texts on periods that are a must read. It discusses a variety of period-related topics, including the pain that goes along with them. There are several eye-opening books that everyone should read at least once in their lives.
Here are four books about periods and hormones you might like to read:
Ask Me About My Uterus: A Quest to Make Doctors Believe in Women's Pain: An inspirational memoir promoting awareness of women's health issues is available for any woman who has dealt with illness, chronic pain, or endometriosis.
Period Power: A Manifesto for the Menstrual Movement: It's one of Nadya Okamoto's books. Everyone who has periods ought to read this book. Okamoto, a Harvard undergraduate student, pens a manifesto on menstruation and how to participate in the youth movement without marginalizing those who bleed.
Period Repair Manual: This book was written by Lara Briden. Briden, a naturopath, aims to empower women with the information and resources they need to take better care of their menstrual cycles.
Flow: The Cultural Story of Menstruation: โFlowโ is the last book on the list written by Elissa Stein. From mikvahs (ritual cleansing baths) to menopause, hysteria to hysterectomies, and low life spans, it is an intriguing, oftentimes quirky, and occasionally downright scary story. โFlowโ answers such questions as: Whatโs the point of getting a period? What did women do before pads and tampons? What about new drugs that promise to end periodsโa hot idea or not?
Last but not least, the aforementioned publications genuinely clear the haze around menstruation, cramps, sex during periods, and many other topics relating to periods. You should bookmark this article and add these books to your list of must-reads for the near future.

The pregnancy period is a very important period in any couple's life, it is also a ย very complicated period. This total 9-month, wait to see a baby is really difficult and full of patience. Here the mother can feel the appearance of the baby in the womb but the father can't experience all such activity. Many of you are not aware of, how the fetal growth in the womb takes place in that 9 months, and what are the stages of prenatal development week by week, month by month and trimester by trimester. many of you are not aware of such an important point of prenatal development and we also cover embryonic development, fetal development, which is very important for new parents.
Before going into deep about prenatal development, let us understand the menstrual cycle. Most couples are unaware of the menstrual cycle and them unable to plan their baby accordingly, it also leads to an unplanned pregnancy.

Happy medical sinday!
What types of preventatives do they have in a galaxy far far away, it is still mostly stuff like various pills and spirals or is reversible sterility a thing? And have advances like bacta lead to a decline in STDs, or is some kind of condom still a must until your partner get tested??
"Ahhhh! Kriffing finally a question about work that brings me some kriffing money!", Ziv purred, running her webbed fingers along her whiskers like a humanoid would twirl their mustache in amusement. Then she stopped, frowning: "You know,at least it would bring me some kriffing money, if I would take money for my work in the first place. Ah, Kriff, this explains why I am so kriffing poor does it,poorpoorpoor idiotic but so kriffing smart me..."
Usually Ziv did not took any money for her services as a healer and only lived by what her patients left for her as a thank you; self cooked meals, fruits from their farms, old clothes, a free flight to the next ton in a old freighter, here and there a few credits...
"Anyway, first off I am a midwife but I am a poor herbal healer also, so I sadly have no means to get my paws on spirals and other objects that could be placed in the body to prevent a inner feterlisation. Usually when I am asked by a person for preventatives, I have to first know how is their species reproducing and, if they are specifically asking for a preservation when they are with a certaine partner what kind of species is that partner." The Tynnan pinned her ears back, huffing: "I would be asking simply , because if the partner is a human I can answer that Human are kriffing freaks of nature and I am pretty sure they could reproduce with every kriffing Mammal in this Galaxy and you would think the krififng same if you would work as a Midwife, like for kriffs sake! If the partner is a human than its time for the krififing iron fist of the kriffing hard preventativ-stuff! Its not that kriffing much needed when the partner is not a human, but for kriffs sake, that species got through the whole galaxy horizontally, really."
"If that is finished, I would usually prepare a preventative based on a hormone-cyclus changing herbbrooth for Aliens who have a heatcycle or where a outside-feterlisation happens and would need around a month of testing with that person so I can adjust the kind of herbs fitting for that persons species, age, weight, way of reproducing and all the other stuff. There is no KRIFFING ONE way of preventative, there are too many different species and genitals and ways of sex for that, so eh, it always depends on my patient. I for example use a daily brewn hormonebalance changing herb-brooth that tastes like Banthashit, but keeps me in a state of the heatcycle in which I am not able to concieve and that most of the time works for other aliens with heatcycles. If a person is due to a bad health not able to have a hormone-cycle changing preventative or happens to be part of the few alienspecies who have a periodcycle and they belong to a spcies were a inner-feterlisation happens I will prepare them a oinment that kills off the cells in the bodily fluids that are exchanged. Its faster that way and with how all around the kriffing clock species with periodcycles can concieve it works better when its needs to go fast instead of going for the longrun with a hormone-cycle-changing herbbrooth. Of course, if the thing already happend its easy to just cause a spontanouse abortion with some herbs in foods or drinks, but that always will leave the person pretty kriffing messed up with sickness for a few days so eh. Even if I would of course walk my patient through that expierence, it is always easier to invest the time with me and learn what I can make specifically for them so I can teach them how they can prepare that brooth, oinment, salve or the other stuff on their own after I left. "
The last part of the question made Ziv huff so much her whiskers bristled and she put her small paws on her hips:
"You know, I am a kriffing big fan of condomes and dams. I am a herbal healer, so my methodes when I am giving advice to my patients are with herbal solutions, but if you would ask me, I would throw kriffing condomes on you, if I would have enough to throw them at Kriffers in the first place. Bacta is nice and well, but we are talking here about people who have no kriffing chance to get their paws on kriffing bacta so for kriffs sake,-JUST WEAR THE DAMN THINGS and I could maybe even take a weekend off once a kriffing month! I mean, yes, there are some oinments that will kill bacteria and viruses that can cause sicknesses from beeing transferred during sex, but its always easier to just put the damn dam or condome on than spend krififng ten minutes smearing the by me prepared stuff on parts that at that certaine moment should be doing complete kriffing more fun stuff"

Hacks to Prevent Menstrual Leakage at Night
Menstrual leakage at night must be a major problem for many menstruators.ย It is not just the problem of an individual or two, but of millions of menstruators across the globe. Since sleep is one of the most important aspects of human life, one must make sure that they experience deep sleep. Nevertheless, don't worry; we have some interesting information to offer:
Listed below are some hacks to stop menstrual leaks at night:
Use a tampon: Since the tampon is worn inside the vagina, it won't leak if you move around while you're sleeping. Keep in mind that this should only be used by people who get fewer than 6 to 7 hours of sleep each night because wearing tampons for longer than 8 hours can raise the risk of infection. Therefore, exercise caution!
Use overnight pads: No matter how you sleep at night, overnight pads are specifically made to contain excess menstrual fluid. It would therefore be wise to use it.
Change your pad before hitting the sack: It is usually a good idea to change your pad just before bed because it will help in the maximum amount of absorption.
Get out of bed slowly: It's necessary to get out of bed slowly because if menstrual fluid pools in your vagina at night, it could suddenly leak out. So when you wake up in the morning, it is highly advised to start at a snail's pace.
Tip: Try Lemme Beโs products, which are highly used by menstruators across India.

OBGYN explains why a COVID vaccine might affect menstrual cycles SAN FRANCISCO โ Anecdotal evidence from women around the country has led to questions about how COVID-19 vaccines may affect womenโs menstrual cycles. When ABC7 News reporter, Kate Larsen, posted the question on social media, it became clear that a lot of women are experiencing cycle changes, and are wondering if itโs related to the vaccine. Women wrote: โI had my 1st COVID-19 vaccine in January followed by the 2nd in February, and since then I have had hemorrhagic bleeding with clots. This month of April was the heaviest.โ โI thought I was going crazy, and even went as far as making a doctorโs appt and switching out my BC because mine is so heavy now and its been a month straightโ โI received the Moderna vaccine in January and February I didnโt get my period for 3 months they did multiple blood test, pregnancy test and ultrasounds but everything came back normal. Then finally on April 4 I got my period and itโs been super heavy for the past 22 days non-stop.โ And some women are reporting other changes: โMy period has been the lightest in years for the past 2 cycles. Was beginning to wonder if I was pushed into pre-menopause. Also my PMS symptoms havenโt been as bad from what I can tell.โ For answers, ABC7 went to UCSF OBGYN, Dr. Heather Huddleston, who specializes in reproductive endocrinology and says cycle changes are very common. โIt is always hard for women to have something happen that they werenโt counseled about or werenโt expecting, and I understand why it can be a little disconcerting. But I would want to put the word out, that this isnโt something that even if there is a connection that I would be terribly worried about representing a long-term problem.โ Kate Larsen: โWhy would the COVID vaccine or any vaccine interact with a womanโs menstrual cycle and hormones?โ Dr. Heather Huddleston: โItโs very possible that just the stress or maybe disrupted sleep or potentially some disrupted body temperatures, all of those things could have led to something in the menstrual cycle getting a little thrown off for a month.โ Dr. Huddleston says she has not noticed more complaints about cycle changes in recent weeks at her clinic, and wants to reassure women that the vaccine is safe. โIn terms of why women would have a heavier cycle, I think clearly we donโt know the answer to that. We also donโt even know definitively if there is a true link with menstrual cycles and the vaccine. However, we do know in addition to hormones being really important in a menstrual cycle, that there is a role for the immune system in the uterus,โ said Huddleston, who suggested, โif there are changes, perhaps due to a vaccine, maybe that would subtly affect the behavior of the immune system in the uterus.โ Dr. Huddleston does think womenโs physiology should be a larger focus during medical trials. In the meantime, she says women should consult their doctor about any concerning changes in their cycles. Copyright ยฉ 2021 KGO-TV.
