The problem with them not letting Peter growl up in the comics and trying to keep him as a young hero as long as possible is because his comics never really focused on the youth aspect of his character. He was young yes but he never really gets to act like a teen or have his youth pointed out in a way

Now he’s older and they finally want to do those relatable teen angst stories with focus on his casual yet troubled social life cause by his heroics but he’s not a teen. They moved past those years and can’t get back to them unless they completely reboot him or do it through another character like Miles. The problem being they don’t want to let go of Peter, to get rid of THE Spider-Man.

I genuinely think a rehashing of Peter’s classic comic story would be fun. We have Spectacular, Amazing, Superior, Ultimate and the list goes on. It baffles me that they don’t solve the problem by simply doing what they continue to do and retell the story but actually focus on kid Peter, make him younger so you can prolong the inevitable grown up Peter arch if you must but the comics have to let him grow up.

There’s a fluidity in the medium that everyone keeps forgetting. You can tell me a story a million times over as long as you keep perfecting it.
