The province’s police watchdog has cleared an officer who discharged an anti-riot weapon at a man who threatened to shoot at police at his home in Picton, Ont.

The investigation follows an incident that happened on July 23. Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call at around 10:20 a.m. that an unidentified 66-year-old man, referred to as the complainant in the report, had fired his rifle a number of times on his property.

The report says the complainant instructed the caller to contact the OPP to say he would be “waiting for them outside.” According to the report, the caller mentioned the man had “mental health issues.”

Auschecken für 8 Dollar einen locker buchen und ab zum Schokokaffee. Ja ich gönne mir heute richtig.😂 Scheiß auf Bauchweh.

Danach mache ich mich auf den Weg zur Fähre. Die Überfahrt ist angenehm und am Hafen treffe ich dann ein paar wieder die ich im Shuttle zur Fähre gesehen habe.

Wir verabreden uns kurzerhand zum Dinner, ehe ich mich mit Phillip (auch ein deutscher, welch eine Überraschung 😂) auf die Suche nach unserem Hostel mache. (Tombstone Hostel klingt vertrauenswürdig oder? Macht aber dann doch Sinn, wenn du siehst wo das Hostel liegt. Siehe auf dem Foto)

Im Hostel connecten wir erstmal mit den anderen aus dem Zimmer, während wir da sitzen und eine der Katzen streicheln. Irgendwie witzig, ich dachte immer das gibt es nicht. Niemand sitzt im Hostel auf dem Boden und chillt, diese Bilder auf Hostelworld fand ich immer höchst unglaubwürdig... Aber ja... Es ist möglich.😂

Wir gehen zum besten Thai der Stadt. (Was bei einem 4300 Seelendorf auch der einzige ist, aber dafür sehr lecker...😂)

Wir kaufen noch einen Wein (da unser deutscher mit dem Reiseführer gelesen hat, die Region sei für den Sauvignon blanc bekannt.) Und gehen zusammen in unser Hostel. Dort spielen wir noch ein wenig Ping Pong und trinken eine Flasche Wien ( zu 6.) bevor wir es uns im Hostel gemütlich machen und etwas quatschen. Leni stellt die Frage, wann wir das letzte Mal geweint haben und so entstehen tiefere Gesprächsthemen wie ich es nunmal liebe und ich liege erst um halb 1 im Bett.😂 (Für meine Verhältnisse eigentlich ziemlich früh😂)

Page 3. ---- Kenneth Peterson, Picton, was remanded until Monday while police check his excuse for returning to Kingston after he was previously ordered to remain out of the city. Peterson said in court this morning, when he appeared on a vagrancy charge, that he had to come to Kingston to answer a military call.

George Smythe, Montreal Street, was fined $16 on a charge of careless driving. James George and Laura Walsh gave evidence that Smythe drove past them on the wrong side of the street when they were on a motorcycle.

Guy Cox, 111 Rideau Street, was fined $18 for careless driving and $11 for having liquor in an illegal place.

Otis C. Smith, Portsmouth, was remanded on a careless driving charge.

Clifford Restrick, North Macdonnell Street, was fined $18 for speeding.

Leonard Newberry, Barriefield, was remanded on a charge of giving a false address on a liquor permit.

Joseph Edwards, 201 Wellington Street, was fined $4 on a charge of common assault

New Zealand South Island Adventure day 12: Kaikoura -> Christchurch - Spent half of the day hiking in Kairoura peninsula, visited Point Kean Lookout, Kairoura Seal Colony, Kairoura Lookout with a birdview of the town, and finally had mussels for lunch which I missed the opening hours of The Mussel Pot when I stopped at Havelock yesterday. Stopped at town Cheviot and Kaiapoi on my way back to Christchurch, and had a big dinner in the Teochew Restaurant in Christchurch city.
