Ok this is SO LATE but for the oc ask thing 13 And 15 for everybody in gen 4!

Mel!!! 🥰 I appreciate it all the same hehe. And there’s like… 12 significant characters + maybe 10 more minor, so I’ll just go with the main squad again (excluding Misha since I already answered these for him) because the family won’t be appearing til Chapter 3.

13: Describe your OC’s living situation.

Eva — she’s just moved into her room at Los Angeles Academy of Performing Arts, so it’s clean and rather empty right now, but she’s planning to bring over precious belongings from her humble family home in Malibu, like her acoustic guitar.

Mako — living alone in a luxury apartment five minutes walk from the academy. Sleek, black, minimalist, always perfectly organised and spotless. He moved in a week before the semester started, coming from his main penthouse in New York. Don’t even get me started on the Hayashi residence.

Sasha — living with her parents and two younger sisters in a mid-century modern villa, in the multi-million dollar neighbourhood of Trousdale Estates, Beverly Hills.

Piper — same as Eva, but she’s already begin filling her room with cute pink stuff. She comes from an unassuming suburban bungalow in San Diego, with her mom.

India — living with her parents, Cinna and Luc, in a small but comfortable Arts District loft, cluttered with art and a million books.

15: Your OC is given the chance to go back in time. Where do they go and what do they do?

Eva — nowhere, I think, she always lives in the present and focuses on the future.

Mako — four months back, to stop himself from making the worst mistake of his life so far.

10. What’s a line of dialogue you’re particularly proud of?

“Sweet! See you tonight. And now I’m going to collapse into bed. If I don’t wake up, calculus testonitis got my ass.” He walks away without another word. 

I’m not proud of that line, but Misha is genuinely the most enjoyable character to write. I feel like the style of this generation doesn’t allow for many epic or poetic lines, at least not in the first half, but 👏 the 👏 banter 👏

11. Which line from the novel most represents it as a whole?

“Even the great must fall, Hayashi.” 

I haven’t even started writing most of the story, but I think this line is pretty representative, even though it’s taken so out of context, haha.
