Prompt for you?
"...please tell me you got all your hair chopped off in a freak accident or something- you didn't choose that, right?"
lol I knew immediately who to write this for
info on Ricki, Jessie, Tiff, and Dami here, here, here, and here
"You lose a bet?" Jessie asked the moment Ricki walked in the door.
Tiff looked up from her laptop to see what Jessie was talking about. Ricki was still in the doorway, tugging off her leather jacket and sporting a curly mullet that she definitely hadn't had the day before.
"Oh my god...please tell me you got all your hair chopped off in a freak accident or something- you didn't choose that, right?" She blurted and Ricki rolled her eyes.
"Ha ha, you guys are hilarious," she said setting her coat aside and crossing the room to peer over Dami's shoulder to see what she was drawing in her sketchbook.
"Well, I approve." Dami commented, quickly closing their notebook so Ricki couldn't see.
"Aw, thanks Dam-" Ricki started but Dami continued.
"I'm certain this new look will be a wonderful deterrent for would-be suitors. Koriand'r must like it as well."
Jessie and Tiff burst into laughter and Ricki sighed, crossing her arms.
"Are you done?" She asked and Jessie just shook her head.
"No, who the fuck told you to get a mullet, big bird? I wanna thank them, I haven't laughed this hard in years!" She cackled, dodging the pillow Ricki threw.
"Okay, okay, I get it. You think the mullet was a mistake. Knock it off, already," Ricki said with a frown.
"First Discowing now this, are you trying to get on Gotham's worst dressed list?" Tiff teased.
"That suit is incredible, you just don't appreciate good retro fashion." Ricki defended.
"At least tell me you didn't pay for someone to do that to you." Jessie said, finally recovering from her laughter.
"When have I ever paid for someone to cut my hair?" Ricki replied.
Tiff hummed. "Are you going through a breakup? An early mid-life crisis? Do we need to stage an intervention?" She asked and Ricki rolled her eyes, sitting on the couch.
"I just wanted a change, okay?"
"Are you changing personas too? I have some name suggestions if you are." Jessie said with a smirk. "Redneck Robin, Mullet Master, The Long-Lost Kryptonian Cousin of Billy-Ray Cyrus-"
"Oh shut up."

☕️Stop. Nerfing. The coolest characters. Just to draw a fight scene out a little longer.
(I mean seriously, it happens way too often. They set up a character who actually has a really cool power set, then realize that power set would make a fight scene over really quickly and off the character in the most batshit, usually canon-deviant way. Darwin in X-Men First Class. Alex and Warren in X-Men Apocalypse. Rick and Abner in The Suicide Squad. Fucking STOP killing characters right when they're about to reach a good character arc)
YES OMG THAT IS SO FREAKING STUPID. The Flash is extremely guilty of this, like, they had Eobard Thawne, The Flash's archnemesis. his equal, killed by one blast of light from some rando who joined the team last season. Like... why tho?

Hey! I meant to ask - if I were to start reading your writing, what pieces would you recommend I start with? I know a decent bit about the Flash TV show characters from other mutuals, though I haven't seen a whole lot of the show itself. And I've watched seasons 1-3 of Supernatural but I'm fine with being spoiled on later seasons. And of course, if there's anything else you'd want to recommend, please shoot it my way and I'll give it a read!
That's so sweet of you! Atm I have 3 fics posted and they're all standalone; also all in The Flash fandom (Soul for a Soul is also Arrow though cause Oliver Queen is there).
Let's seeeeeee, you should be able to read any of these with basic knowledge of Flash (and if you have more than basic; there definitely shouldn't be any issues).
I'd recommond "Trophy", my most recent fic. It has one chapter posted atm but I'm quite proud of that chapter and the second is in the editing stage. I don't foresee many if any knowledge issues with that one because it is majorly canon divergent; being a "villain wins" fic and all.
Hope this was a coherent reply haha
Oh and if you like whump; I've got recs for a few different fandoms in my bookmarks :D (some not whump but not many lmao)

For you and Bill:
tabby, white cat, persian, and sphynx please
Tabby: Is your f/o snuggly? Are you? If so, what are your favourite ways to cuddle?
i'm very snuggly. always. i think bill's somewhat of a snuggler too. honestly, i enjoy rubbing my face into his sweaters, so we hug or we face each other (as best as we can in those tiny dorm beds). i like being in his lap too, especially if he kisses me on the head.
White Cat: Are your f/o’s eyes particularly striking to you? In what way? Do they find themselves captivated by yours, in turn?
i'm so ill about his eyes. so gentle, so sparkly...eugh. i could stare into them forever and ever.
i think he likes mine...and likes using their deep-set nature as an excuse to get closer. so, if he gets in my face, he can play it cool and say he was just trying to get a better look at my eyes. hehe. plus, i have really dark eyelashes.
Persian: Are you a high or low maintenance couple? Who has the most rigorous grooming routine? Do you help each other?
we're both pretty well groomed people. he has his gelled curls. my s/i tends to wear ponytails (i want to cut my bangs irl so i can curl them like some young 50s girls did. it's a cute look). we both don't have a lot of body hair, we both shave. my s/i wears makeup and does their nails, which takes a bit too. you also can't convince me there isn't some grooming of that man's eyebrows occurring here. they're suspiciously neat.
he might help me put on a necklace if i'm having trouble, or tie a ribbon in my hair for me.
Sphynx: Who prefers wearing sweaters the most? Neither, both? Do either of you knit? Would you ever wear matching sweaters?
both but he's pretty much only in sweaters canonically (except dances and football games). neither of us knit. and hm, maybe.

Writing/OC art asks for whichever OC you'd like!
pencil, paintbrush, Copics, tortillon, pastels, and creative!
Thanks! :D I'll do this for Yo-han from The Case Files of Seo Yo-han:
Pencil: does this character have any "sketchy" habits? Have they ever broken the law? Do they regret it?:
He doesn't exactly have any sketchy habits (apart from being interested in other people's business :P ), but he technically breaks the law twice: at the end of Silver Glass and the start of Houses Full of Deceit. In SG he lets a murderer go (but under the circumstances it would have been worse not to let him go) and in HFOD he lets an assassin stay in his house.
Paintbrush: How often does your character "brush over" conflict instead of facing it head on? Is there something specific they don't like to face, or do they avoid conflict as a whole?:
He's a detective, so seeking out conflict is basically his job :P When not detecting, though, he tries to avoid his family. Specifically his stepmother, because he once accused her of poisoning his mother (who was actually dying of cancer). Which makes family reunions slightly awkward ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ (In his defence, he was thirteen at the time.)
Copics: what is this character's most expensive habit or hobby? Do they ever feel guilty about the money they spend on it?:
Travelling the world to solve mysteries. Guilty? Not really, but sometimes he gets tired of it.
Tortillon: does your OC "blend in" with the people around them? Physically? Metaphorically?:
Not really. He's Korean and so far the other main characters are British, Hungarian or Armenian, and he notices things no one else does.
Pastels: Give me three colours that best represent your OC. Now give me three colours that your OC likes best. Is there an overlap?:
Hmm... when I pick colours that represent an OC, I pick ones they wear at least once. Unfortunately men's clothes in 1915 had a very limited selection of colours ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Sooo... black, white and grey, I guess?
His favourite colours: dark red, purple and light blue.
Creative!: free space! Share something you've been dying to share about your writing! Could be an OC that never gets the limelight, a moment you were proud of, or anything else you'd like to share:
I've talked about Yo-han, so now I'll talk about his arch-enemy :D
An Ji-hun started out as a supporting character in Like Snow on Hungry Graves, where he was a hitman working for Rusudan who fell in love with a mer. (A different mer than Hariye; that poor kid's been through enough without having to deal with Ji-hun too.) Several outline revisions later, and I realised his subplot no longer fit the story. So his character got cut.
Then when I started planning Houses Full of Deceit, I realised I needed another assassin. And since it's set in Korea, why not reuse the Korean assassin I've already invented? So that's how Ji-hun went from a fantasy kingdom based on medieval Georgia to a semi-realistic 1910s Korea :D
(Incidentally his appearance is based on Lee Dong-wook as Seo Moon-jo. This started as an in-joke because Rusudan collects her victims' teeth like Moon-jo. After he moved WIPs this becomes a different in-joke, because Seo Yo-han's surname is a reference to Moon-jo.)
Adding The Unfortunate Moth's and Silver Glass's taglists: @akindofmagictoo, @lightgriffinsect, @original-writing, @zonnemaagd, @oh-no-another-idea, @verba-writing, @kittensartswriting, @writingpotato07, @sarahlizziewrites, @acertainmoshke, @author-a-holmes, @sam-glade, @late-to-the-fandom (Let me know if you want to be added to/removed from the taglist!)

for the ask game!
6, 9, 13, 20, 26, 30, and 45
6. Have you ever started to write a relationship and had it develop differently than you expected? How so?
Actually the fic I'm writing right now, Gone in a Flash, was based on a Barriscowest idea but right now other than some brief references to crushes at the start it's turning out pretty gen so whether it turns out platonic or romantic has yet to be seen.
The Milk and Sugar 'verse had a similar thing too, although Barry always started with a crush on Eddie in the very first plan it was actually Cisco and Barry who were going to end up together, but then I started writing more with Cisco and Hartley and they went from roommates to a relationship and that changed a few things
9. When you write, do you plan out the stages of a relationship, or just let it flow? Do you have any works where the characters seem to "write themselves"?
Mostly I let it flow, I do sometimes have a bullet point list of plot points for longer fics but they often change and they're very brief bus stops on the way to the end rather than anything with any detail
13. Are there any consistent trends when you write a budding relationship, or does it vary by character? If there are trends, what are they?
I guess no one being willing to admit feelings because they're worried about the afterwards crops up a few times? And I sometimes find friends to lovers easier to write, I'm aro so it's kind of the version I find easiest to visualise I guess?
20. Has a character ever felt pulled in two directions as you wrote them? How did you resolve this?
That was the plan for Iris in The Questing Flower, on the one hand she's sworn to do her best to achieve this Quest and on the other, she's just found out her best friend is missing, but she makes lots of new friends to help her out
26. Do you have any characters that are arospec or otherwise wouldn't enter a romantic relationship? How do they interact with the story?
I have written Barry Allen as demiromantic quite a few times now (it's my go-to headcanon) so, while he does end up in relationships, it does affect the beginning of the story.
My novel I keep putting off because of nerves is kind of fairy-tale inspired except the princess is aro and the whole plot revolves around her figuring that out and accepting herself, and the antagonist is, rather than a bad person in himself, basically amanormativity personified, so the aro-ness is central to the story. Or it will be when I actually get up the courage to write more than the odd paragraph here and there.
30. What's the most interesting familial relationship that you've written? Found family counts.
There's a few I love writing, but actually, although Francine's not in the fic, there's a few bits in Gone in a Flash of Iris thinking about her mother and that's been interesting to figure out because it's a very complicated relationship
45. What type of relationship do you struggle most to write? Why is it difficult for you?
Romance is the one I'm least confident about sometimes, it's not like there's a shortage of romance in media and tropes to pull from, but I still sometimes wonder how actually convincing it is considering I have no experience and probably don't want any.
Thank you so much!

❔📝👻
❔Choose a random WIP and talk about it.
Well, since I've already talked about my Arthurian!AU, I do have plans to write a fic involving the season 19 TARDIS crew (Five, Tegan, Nyssa and Adric) visiting Ancient Rome. Not sure quite what the fic will be aside from that initial premise, but I look forward to finding out what happens!
📝Share a snippet of an unposted WIP, with or without context.
Given that, the last time they had met, the two of them had been only wearing underwear (and, for a few short seconds, even less), Tegan was surprised by how quickly she became flustered at seeing the woman stood before her.
‘Nyssa!’ Tegan squeaked. ‘Er, hello! How are you?’
‘Very well, thank you,’ she replied, smiling prettily. ‘Are you enjoying the tournament thus far?’
‘Seems like an excuse for the knights to get drunk and muck about, to be honest.’
Nyssa giggled. It sounded like the sweetest of birdsong to Tegan’s ears.
‘I suppose they do get rather excited,’ she replied. ‘But it is nice to see everyone having fun.’
Tegan smiled, a little nervously.
‘Guinevere didn’t enquire about… last night, did she?’
Nyssa shook her head, the curls of her hair bouncing prettily. Tegan found herself to draw her eyes away.
‘Not a word. I don’t think she believed anything to be out of the ordinary.’
‘That’s good,’ Tegan said, earnestly. ‘I wouldn’t want you to get into trouble over it.’
‘Oh, you can get me into trouble as much as you like, Tegan.’
Tegan let out a spluttering, embarrassed laugh.
‘Nyssa!’
‘Oh, is that a euphemism?’ asked Nyssa, with a tone that implied that she already knew the answer. ‘What is it referring to?’
‘Stop it!’ Tegan exclaimed, face burning. ‘You’re a handmaiden, you can’t say things like that!’
‘I believe I already did,’ Nyssa said, smiling. ‘It may be that you are a bad influence on me, Tegan.’
👻Is there a scene that you find intimidating that you have yet to write?
Yes; the last chapter of my Arthurian!AU has a battle scene which I'm nervous about writing. I don't feel adept at writing battle scenes, so I am rather worried about whether it'll turn out okay.
Thanks for the ask!

couple/relationship asks!
8, 13, 15, 19, 32, 41
8. Have you ever written any friendships that could've easily become romantic relationships? How did you navigate it?
Funnily enough, by letting it become romantic and seeing where it goes. Eden and Astor (@tiredassmage) were written as friends for months before we looked at them and said, but what if though..? And the rest is history lol.
13. Are there any consistent trends when you write a budding relationship, or does it vary by character? If there are trends, what are they?
Hmmmm I can't think of any consistent trends off the top of my head, other than I frequently end up writing the more naive innocent character to someone else's gruffer, more world-weary character.
15. Are there any relationship dynamics/tropes you would never write?
Incest. I don't think I need to explain myself further lol.
19. Pick a work/fandom you've written for. If your couple didn't end up together, who would they get close with with instead?
I imagine they'd probably be more developed with their chosen xiv npc's (Hien in Eden's case).
32. Do you find it more fun to write soft, domestic romances, or dramatic thrillers?
I greatly enjoy writing more dramatic, action-packed scenes because I like writing about the characters doing things rather than just talking. That being said I will also dedicate full paragraphs to nothing but cuddling if no one stops me.
41. Who's your most repressed/oblivious character? Who's your most aware character? What makes them different?
The award for most repressed/oblivious probably goes to Kiana, as she spent most of her life fearing everyone around her rather than thinking they might have feelings for her. She and Arenvald spent months pining for each other before either of them made a move.
As for most aware, that honor goes to Eden, and it's not a badge she wears with pride. She used to spend more time wrestling her feelings into a chokehold and forcing them down than actually acknowledging them, and anyone expressing their interest in her would rarely see her again.

for any OC you'd like!
marker, crayon, eraser, pastels, creative!
Thank you for the ask!! Imma answer these for Erik as he's the primary Love Interest of book 2 and on my mind right now!
-
Marker: what's one thing your character would never tattoo on their body, even if they were paid a million dollars for it?
Honestly, as long as it's pretty he'll do it, Erik doesn't have much shame when it comes to his body (I'm like THIS CLOSE to giving him a lower back tattoo that he proudly calls his tr*mp stamp sfjkgshkgj). As long as it's not hateful, I think he'll do anything. So uh,,, hateful stuff. N*zi shit, yanno?
Crayon: what was your OC like when they were four years old? Were they loud? Shy? Were they the resident "weird kid" or did they get along with others their age?
Erik was a very shy, very sweet kid. He was the kind of kid who'd babble endlessly and loudly about something if you prompted him, but would hide behind an adult's leg if a stranger smiled at him, yanno the type? He was v. sweet and wanted to be friends with everyone which ended up translating into Bad Things for him later down the line because the Controller noticed that everyone liked him and when you stand out to the Controller, good or bad, it's not going to end well for you.
Eraser: what's one way this character has changed over time? Either over the course of their story, or over the course of designing them as an author.
Erik is one who's changed A Lot but also not at all? He's always had pretty much the same personality: stoic and angry with strangers/under stress, cocky and flirty the rest of the time. It's only really his appearence that's changed and even that isn't by much. He used to be a wild haired white boy with blue eyes and now he's a wild haired sephardic jewish enby with blue eyes that have brown patches in them XD
Pastels: Give me three colors that best represent your OC. Now give me three colors that your OC likes best. Is there an overlap?
I always draw Erik in purple! I also associate silver and sky blue with him. He definitely loves silver and purple, but I think he's into pink and yellow too
Creative!: free space! share something you've been dying to share about your writing! Could be an OC that never gets the limelight, a moment you were proud of, or anything else you'd like to share
OKAY SO I haven't been able to talk about them much because they're the protag of book 3 and I haven't even finished book 2 yet BUT
this is Evie (this is AI generated SORRY it was done with Artbreeder a long-ass time ago, I'm working on phasing them out)
Tumblr media
unlike Erik who is still figuring himself out, Evie has access to everyone's fears and has been actively socialising with the family of their trans son, so they know what's up and they know some of the ugliest sides of the world
They're basically the personification of "are you going to respect his pronouns or is this they/them going to make you a were/was". Evie can and WILL fuck you up if you cross their family, but their main conflict in their story is going to be surrounding their personal safety and emotional wellbeing, which they Neglect Greatly. Their story is going to be a tragedy romance that represents the likelihood of someone raised into abuse going into further abusive relationships, and basically figuring out their own autonomy and their place outside of their family.
Basically I love them and I can't wait to write for them (and to learn more about Korean culture alongside them as they were raised separated from it and are trying to reconnect!)

Serum injection + Mind Games + Superpower Overload for the bingo board
(I assume this is like... you keep a running board and check off boxes as you write them until you get a bingo? I might be doing this wrong idk)
Tumblr media
serum injection from Bad Things Happen Bingo info on Ricki and Gabi here and here
The serum burned on its way through Gabi's veins and she writhed on the table, trying to free herself from the straps that held her down. Her eyes itched and her vision shifted rapidly, the lights too bright as her pupils widened to a tiger's. Everything was suddenly painfully loud as she felt her ears shift; her skin itched and almost seemed to bubble as her body tried to transform against her will, cycling through multiple animals in rapid succession. She felt like she might be sick as her internal organs shifted again and again. What the hell was happening?
Somewhere, outside the chaos in her body, she registered the sounds of distant fighting echoing from the hallway to her left, but she couldn't focus on it for long, trying desperately to keep her body from shifting out of her control. Or maybe...maybe she could redirect it. Shift into something useful. Something small or...an octopus or something. Anything. Just not this.
The person who'd injected her was suddenly launched into the air out of her line of sight, followed by a very pissed-off looking Raven, presumably holding them up with his telekinetic powers if the way he was holding his hands was any indication. Rapid footsteps, and then Ricki was there too, tugging the straps loose with a concerned look.
"Gabi, hey, look at me. Are you hurt? What's going on?" Her voice was firm and soothing and she reached out but hesitated.
Probably scared touching her would hurt, Gabi thought hazily, she was probably right, too. Everything hurt.
"Raven, let him down. We need to get Gabi out of here." Ricki instructed, glancing back at the teen. He dropped his hands and Gabi heard a distant thud as the man crashed to the floor. She hoped it hurt.
Ricki reached for her again and Gabi growled at her, feeling her hackles raise. Moments later, she came back to her senses, color flooding her cheeks with embarrassment. Why the fuck had she growled at Ricki? She let out a shaky breath, trying to steady herself and Ricki's expression softened.
"Easy. We're going to get you out of here and figure out what they did to you. Will you let me help you?" Ricki spoke slowly and clearly, like she was talking to a scared animal. Well, Gabi supposed, she kind of was at the moment.
Gabi nodded and Ricki carefully helped her up. Her knees buckled and Raven immediately reached out to help steady her. Before she knew what she was doing, Gabi had dropped into an animalistic crouch and slashed at him with claws she hadn't realized she'd grown. He managed to dodge and backed off, hands raised defensively. Gabi blacked out.
When she came to, she was lying on a couch with a thick blanket over her. Her body felt sore and unfamiliar and she sat up slowly, taking in the dimly lit room. Ricki was sitting in a nearby chair, leaning forward with her elbows resting on her knees, chin resting on her fingers. She looked tired.
"Oh my god, please tell me I didn't kill anyone." Gabi blurted and Ricki shook her head with a small smile.
"No, everyone's fine. How do you feel?" She asked, studying Gabi closely.
"Shitty." Gabi admitted, wincing as her body throbbed in protest.
Ricki hummed. "I'll bet. You went on a bit of a rampage. Luckily that place was coming down anyway and nobody got in your way." She explained, then paused. "Do you remember anything?"
Gabi thought for a moment, then shook her head. "I don't know...everything's kind of hazy."
Ricki smiled but it looked a bit tight, stressed. "That's okay. Get some rest." She stood up and stretched and Gabi laid back down, pulling the blanket up over her shoulders. She still felt jittery, like she was ready to shift again at any moment, but with Ricki there, she felt safe.

Also had another Eris/Rick thought recently
They're out on the battlefield (where else lol?) and Rick ends up getting really badly injured. He's losing a lot of blood and it's not looking good, and by the time the emergency medics get there we're talking transfusion or death... and maybe death anyway. It's bad.
So Eris offers their blood. They're not technically the same blood type, but with Eris' healing factor it shouldn't matter. Anything to get him to survive.
The wounds do start to heal, with Eris' blood spurring his body onward, and Rick is moved to a private room while he heals up. Crisis averted, for the most part. He's still not in a great position, but he's stable.
He wakes up a little while later. Eris is still in the room with him, and they have a bit of a reunion. Then Rick notices that he's feeling a little odd, and he knows he definitely should have died from his wounds...
He grabs Eris' spear before they can react and cuts his hand with the blade. The wound closes almost immediately, and Rick connects the dots. Argument ensues, along the lines of:
"You gave me your blood? We've been over this, Eris, I don't want to be made into a fucking metahuman!"
"And I wasn't ready to watch you die! Not yet! We were supposed to have more time than that!"
It turns into a big fight, and Rick's not sure how to feel about it - he's grateful to have survived, but the whole metahuman/normal human distinction was one of his few unwavering boundaries he set (he doesn't want to deal with power, he doesn't want to be immortal, he doesn't want to be targeted like other metas are targeted... it's a number of things), and it's a violation of that boundary either way. But he agrees with Eris, he wasn't ready to die just yet... it's a tough situation and results in a lot of tension between them for a while.
In the end, the healing effect does fade as his body circulates the blood and starts to generate his own blood cells, and Rick isn't any more meta than the usual person. (Though, depending on how many times this happens, the effect might start to build over time...)
oooooooooooo I'm super interested in this... I love the idea of normal/abnormal with Rick, it kinda gives "queer metaphor" in a way though idk if you were intending that.

what are some recurring things you've noticed across most/all of your writing? It can be something as simple as "found family" or other tropes, or something as deep as a whole analysis on the hidden symbolism, it's totally up to you!
my original work tends to deal with the strange and fantastic, and this occasionally bleeds into my fanfics. i've always favored an AU where i could go hogwild with a piece of media (such as fantasy AUs, crossovers, and soulmate AUs).

if your characters were suddenly dropped into another world/piece of media outside the one(s) they're already in, what world would they do best in? What world would they be most out-of-place in?
Hmm this is a great question! Thanks for sending it in even though it's taken me eons to reply back.
I would say that Nikolai Lantsov from the Grishaverse would fare well in the world of Pirates of the Caribbean where he could be a true pirate and not just a privateer and travel, be captain of his own ship, and help take down the East India Trade Company. Then again, he'd definitely try to get ahead of the times and show Captain Jack Sparrow the wonderful innovations of a flying ship. I feel like Nikolai would be most out of place in a Hunger Games, Divergent, or Altered Carbon type apocalyptic world.

hey! OC/Writing Art Asks for whichever work/OC you feel like!
colored pencil, graphite, tortillon, Woman with a Parasol, The Swing, weaving
again gonna do this for bad things happen and gabriel :]
Colored Pencil: if given the choice, would this character splurge on an expensive (but potentially worthwhile) branded product, or buy a low-budget alternative even if the quality suffers?
gabriel will not spend money unless you Make Him
Graphite: what's something decently common that your character does in a unique or different way?
i like to imagine he eats instant noodles raw
Tortillon: does your OC "blend in" with the people around them? Physically? Metaphorically?
i did this for gabriel so i'll do it for Jesús instead! Jesús is.... Jesús tries. he can, but he's not meant for it. he doesn't necessarily want to be noticed, but he is. he's better at it than gabriel, though.
Woman with a Parasol: not applicable bc it's a question abt writing choices and i haven't written enough of Anything in months to have thots and opinions on it
The Swing: are there any moments in this work where the characters get to slow down and have fun? If not, why is that?
yes, but they get increasingly rarer the longer the story goes on.
Weaving: are your works typically similar to one another? Pick two works, and share one similarity and one difference between them.
i'd say my works tend to share their genre (i mainly write various fantasy subgenres), a high percentage of queer characters, and a lot of themes of togetherness and identity. to pick two works, i'll go with the other ones and bad things happen.
they both have a deeply flawed protagonist (astrophel; gabriel) with two others in their trio of friends/"friends" (elisa, hyacinthus; jesús, prisha) who are dragged into something bigger than they are, which they cannot begin to understand. a big BIG difference is that to gabriel, loyalty is everything, while astrophel may throw you to the wolves if he thinks the result will be educational enough to watch.
