Scepter four but instead of cars they ride buffalos. So now Saruhiko has the opportunity to terrorize Yata by chasing him with the animal. Also, Munakata taking some extra care with his own buffalo.

I want there to be absolutely no explanation for this. Not where they got the buffalo from, not why they ride them, not where they keep the buffalo when not in use, Scepter 4 just has buffalos and that’s how it is (also in my head these are absolutely big fluffy American buffalos/bison, which makes the ‘where did you get these’ question even more pertinent. In completely unrelated news, Munakata has a lifetime ban from ever visiting Yellowstone National Park). Imagine Fushimi’s face when Munakata first proudly shows him his newly acquired buffalo friend, who Fushimi is welcome to name and will be riding around on and taking care of. Fushimi definitely complains heavily about this one, because buffalo are stinky and furry and no way is he ever cleaning out a gross stable. He probably only rides his when there’s an actual mission that the whole force has to be in on, otherwise he leaves his at the stable. And since they have buffalo instead of vans please imagine Fushimi with a laptop perched on top of a buffalo doing support work, with Enomoto and the other members perched on their own buffalo with their own computers.

Fushimi does learn to appreciate his buffalo eventually though, I bet it’s constantly nosing him and knocking him down because it loves him so much. Munakata praises Fushimi for being so close to his buffalo and even offers buffalo care tips, you just know Munakata’s buffalo even sparkles it’s so well cared for. Fushimi can’t help but get a disgusted look every time Munakata shows up on his buffalo, both of them shining with the aura of the purest of morals. What really gets Fushimi to warm up to his buffalo though is the first time he runs into Yata while riding it, initially Yata just starts laughing because Saruhiko you look ridiculous what even is that thing. Yata quickly learns that an angry buffalo can be extremely terrifying and also very protective of its rider. Fushimi just sits there and grins as his buffalo like chases Yata up a tree, all the buffalo isn't so ridiculous now is it Misaki.

Prompt: "strain that turns all weapons to flowers the minute you have romantic intentions towards each other"

That day something strange happened. A wall of raging fire, a powerful hit without restrain, power released in its wildest form, as it touched the cool blue shield, turned into a gentle whirl of red petals.

"Beautiful" Anna would say later, holding in her hands a red rose born from that uncontrollable fire, as it was the most precious treasure on earth (it was, to her). To Mikoto, Anna's happy eyes were enough not to let his disappoiment ruin the rest of the day.

However, somehow he couldn't stop to think about how their fight had ended. No, he wasn't worried about his fire turning into a flourishing garden (he could still feel it inside him, threating to burn him alive at any moment); some Strain's bullshit, as usual, Kusanagi told him.

It was the face that guy made in the exact moment wild flames turned into light petals that bothered Mikoto, in an unusual way for him. Genuine surprise. Disbelief. Subtle outrage, too. Emotions that would have amused Mikoto, if only he could understand how he had caused them.

After that, Munakata had abrubtly folded his sword and turned away, with an unusual hurry in his steps, leaving a very confused Mikoto behind. This is how the fight of that day ended. He knew it, that Munakata had understood something Mikoto didn't, and not knowing what it was, was kind of annoying. Not enough to force Mikoto to seeking answers though, he wasn't that kind of guy after all.

The answer arrived nonethless, one night of early summer in a bar as many, in the form of Munakata Reisi himself.

Mikoto didn't ask how he found him, or if he was searching him at all (it was just something that happened). "I must be very unfortunate, to meet such a wild beast in a place like this" Munakata said, choosing to sit on the stool on Mikoto's right.

"Try not to ruin the taste of my drink" Mikoto smirked, both quietly amused and irritated. It was the usual Munakata. And that was one of those nights in which he happened to stumble on Munakata Reisi the person.

When they left the bar hours later, what had bothered Mikoto about thefight of the other day was already forgotten. Munakata pulled out a pack of cigarettes. Mikoto's hand reached out to light the one ready for him with a gentle snap, in a gesture that didn't require any word or thought anymore.

They walked in silence for a while.

"... I suppose you are not aware to have been under the influence of the power of a class C Strain"

"Mh?"

"The flowers of the other day" Mikoto took a drag on his cigarette.

"So it was that, uh?" he murmured, without any interest. What could have been otherwise?

Other steps in silence. "And you don't have any idea of how that power manifests itself, do you?"

"I saw it. It made flowers"

"And you haven't investigated further"

It wasn't a question. An exasperated sigh followed, that kind of sigh a teacher of a particularly unmotivated child would make. "Suoh, as a King you should be more aware of--"

"Yeah, already heard that. Wasn't that a weak guy? What should I worry about? Throwing petals out of my mouth?"

"That could only be an improvement"

Mikoto snorted.

Their walk continued in shared silence, until they reached the moment in which their paths had to separate.

"So, 'was that about?"

"Pardon?"

"The Strain's power"

"I seem to remember you not being very interested in knowing that"

"And you said I should know, so what?"

"... Seriously, Suoh, you really are unreasonable"

Mikoto replied with an amused grin, which was rewarded with a cool glare in return. He took it as a small victory.

Munakata sighed again, pushing his glasses up. "As usual, you leave all the dirty work to me"

"Ah?"

And then, that night, something strange happened again. The mood suddenly changed, and Munakata smiled, confident as a man who knows the world will bend to his will.

"I can assure you, I do not have any intention to run away from my responsibilities"

On the way to Homra, there in the pocket where it was his pack of cigarettes, Mikoto found a little white flower. He stared at it in the palm of his hand, thinking that Munakata was really an idiot, to make him believe in such a fragile promise.

Why Project Special K is unlikely to get anywhere:

Something is holding me back from continuing the OpenGL tutorial.

I can export models and convert them to something I might be able to use, but I can't get animations to import right.

Various other such hurdles I can see on the road ahead.

Why I should continue plodding along:

I'm learning C++ from it.

I'm learning game design from it.

Learning how ACNH works and how it stores its data may help ACNH modders, e.g. how to change a villager's name tag color.

Why you should send in original villager characters:

It breeds creativity if nothing else.

To give more context, this save utilizes ALL EPs, GPs, and SPs (except My First Pets) as well as ALL KITS (except Bust The Dust and Poolside Splash) While you may not own every pack or kit that I used, the save file is still playable. Willow Creek has new homes, rentals, and one new retail lot

Newcrest has been built (restaurant, gym, retail, and generic lots)

Magnolia Promenade has been built, while somewhat finished, still needs work

Cass approached the child as carefully as she could. That didn't stop him from shrinking back into the corner, his body language screaming fear and distrust at her. She did her best to project safety and protection as she stopped and knelt down in front of him.

It was now that Cass was about to get a good look at the child. He was skinny. Painfully so. And his clothes were oversized and dirty. There was a muzzle strapped tightly to his face too. Her heart hurt thinking about who would do this to such a small thing and why.

Still emphasizing safety and calmness with her body language, Cass finally spoke to the boy. "Do you... want help with that?" she asked, pointing to the muzzle.

The boy reached up to the muzzle also subconsciously as he eyed her suspiciously. Cass for her part, patiently waited until the boy reluctantly nodded before she began inching forward once more. She projected all of her actions as she carefully reached up and turned the boy's head slightly to get a good look at the back of the muzzle.

It was locked with a special mechanism Cass had never seen before. Clearly whoever did this to the boy wanted no chance of breaking free. Luckily that wouldn't be an issue for Orphan. Cass dug around in her belt until she found the tools she was looking for and got to work. No more than 5 minutes later, the muzzle unlocked with a satisfying click.

Cass slowly slid it off of the boy's face before backing away again. "Better?" she asked cheerily.

The boy reached up with both hands to feel at his cheeks. He gently flexed his jaw. Then he looked up at Cass, hope and disbelief evident in his eyes. She returned his look of awe with a smile though she doubted he could tell since she still had her mask on.

The boy opened his mouth but all that came out was a wheeze. He narrowed his eyes in frustration as he tried again. Cass was ready to tell him not to push himself but then he croaked out, "Than..k....... you." He slowly parsed through the words, his throat clearly rusty from disuse.

Cass smiled once more. "No problem. Would you like to get out of here?" she said as she extended her hand.

The boy hesitated. Cass could still see that despite everything, he still didn't trust her. Still, he eventually took her hand. Cass pulled the boy up and guided him out of the facility she had found him in. Never letting go of his hand.

As they walked, Cass turned slightly towards the boy. "Do you... have a name?"

The boy nodded slowly in return. "Dan....ny," he answered.

"Hmm. That's a nice name."

For the first time since Cass had discovered the boy, she saw happiness radiate from him. At the sight, she couldn't help but think to herself that no sunrise could compare to such joy.

(Cass adopts Danny cause it's what they both deserve. She struts into Wayne Manor, blowing Steph's betting pool out of the water because she never thought Cass would be the first Wayne child to pick up Bruce's habits.

Danny can't really talk all that well the first few months he's living with everyone but that's ok because mama bear is going to teach him all there is to know about sign language and body language.)

I don't know if you've seen it,but that one south park episode where facebook gets introduced and everyone starts exaggerating about friending/relationship in your profile that with all the characters 😭

In which Munakata invents ‘Kingbook’ and becomes mildly distressed when no one will friend him back XD Though imagine this kinda being like that, like post-ROK Everybody Lives AU and Munakata thinks it would be splendid to have an easy communication network between clans. He gives Fushimi the order to set it up, Munakata’s parents have told him about this ‘Facebook’ thing so he thinks if Fushimi could set this up similarly. Fushimi rolls his eyes at the request but if it’s a task he’s been given he’s going to complete it, so soon Kingbook has been created and Munakata is urging everyone to sign up for better communication. S4 are all given the order to sign up in particular and imagine their confusion, like Akiyama doesn’t get why they need to make a profile just for communicating between members and also why does Hidaka keep spamming his feed with memes. Doumyouji is the one who realizes Fushimi left the coding in for friending and sends out friend requests to the whole squad except Munakata, Awashima and Fushimi (he’s not sure if Awashima would disapprove and he’s too scared of Captain and Fushimi to send them requests). Munakata of course also becomes aware of this and sends out friend requests en masse, and is somewhat bewildered when no one responds.

Then imagine Homra and S4 having to work together for something and afterward Munakata decides to confront Mikoto for his refusal to respond to Munakata’s friend request. Mikoto’s all ‘huh?’ because Totsuka absolutely set up his profile and Mikoto hasn’t even looked at it, however he can’t pass up the chance to tease Munakata so he wonders if Munakata really is just that friendless. Munakata says he doubts that Suoh has many friends and should not talk, which is when Totsuka sheepishly pulls up Mikoto’s account and shows that he has a bunch of friends, all the Homra guys have of course immediately requested to be King’s friend and Totsuka accepted them all for him (he wonders if he should have accepted Munakata’s request in order to pacify him but decides no, it’s more amusing this way). Mikoto just grins like guess I’m more popular than you, don’t cry Munakata. Munakata claims that he doesn’t care but in fact it’s very clear that he cares very much.

He doesn’t want to force anyone to friend him of course but imagine him calling the alphabet boys into the office and trying to ‘subtly’ find out why no one will friend him back. Hidaka tries to explain that no one really friends their boss, it’s like you keep work and private life separate and Munakata points out that Hidaka has sent Fushimi a friend request and Hidaka scrambles for a response. Luckily Yayoi helps Awashima finish setting up her account and she dutifully friends her King, Munakata thanks her for it but imagine him sounding slightly on edge still. He decides to try and get Fushimi to friend him as well but Fushimi flatly refuses, Fushimi immediately set his profile on private and blocked everyone. Munakata feels slightly mollified that Fushimi has no friends either and suggests they friend each other, Fushimi is just like ‘no.’
