New episode!! New episode!
Leander has a vision, Ilyaas and Callia make one more promise. Nothing in Rhysea is without balance.
Back Again, Back Again is an audio drama about alternate realms, ex-prophecy children, and queer girls with swords. You can start with season one here or access a backlog of transcripts here!
If you’re a fan of Narnia, the Oh Hellos, Lord of the Rings (but, like, specifically the hobbit-y parts and any queer tones one might take from it), or your gay DnD podcast of choice… you should check it out!

Episode One's rerelease is live!
Find it in your various podcatchers, or click that handy link.
You can find the transcript here, and make sure that you listen to our first flash episode as well. Flashes are short bonus stories exploring our survivors' lives before the apocalypse... and the first one invites to get to know the BLOGGER a bit better.
Thank you again for all your patience and excitement in regards to our return. We are so thankful, and we're right there with you.
And for those who just so happen to see this on their dash and don't know who we are...
Crossing Wires is a hopeful post-apocalyptic podcast, exploring connection and community after the end of the world.
We have been on hiatus for a few years (our isolation themes were a little too real, for a while), but we're back! And we're more passionate about folks on the margins surviving stories they usually don't get to than ever.
Take a chance, and find us in the static.

“London, 1889….
Behind the doors of 221B Baker Street, the greatest detective of all time and his loyal doctor friend solve some of the most befuddling, prestigious, glamorous, and exciting cases the public has ever seen, turning themselves into legends in the process.
Across the street and slightly to the left, behind the doors of 224B, lives another pair of detectives, waiting for their chance in the spotlight.”
Faux and Stallion are two gay gentlemen (but not a couple) sharing a flat, fantasizing about being detectives. They live across the street from Holmes and Watson and are very jealous of their neighbours’ success and reputation. When Holmes and Watson piss off to Devon to deal with some business about a dog, Faux and Stallion seize their chance and steal one of the formidable duo’s potential new clients.
Faux and Stallion are joined in their investigations by a feisty lesbian, (Stallion’s wife of convenience), and the three of them fumble about trying to solve the case, arguing and bickering and engaging in very funny banter.
Puritans might frown upon the over-the-top accents and dialogue which is littered with anachronisms and Americanisms, but none of that bothered me. The acting and writing is superb, the mystery satisfying, and – what’s most important for me in an audio drama – the characters are well rounded and original and not your usual stereotypes.

Spelling influence like 'C-O-B S-Q-U-A-D'
youtube
I'm waiting around for Harley Quinn's V-day special to drop and it occurred to me that I haven't gushed about this show AT ALL.
When people ask what Starship Q Star is like, our shorthand response is 'Star Trek meets The L Word'.
But Harley Quinn the animated series was a massive tonal touch stone for our series. I love love love how funny, silly, and queer it is. I love how it’s characters are rich and complex, with problems they try to fix with wild schemes and off the wall logic. And I love how it leans into insane situations but never lets go of the heart under the humour.
I watched it a BUNCH while we were writing SSQS to remind myself to lean unapologetically into all those bold, stupid, queer ideas that we had. So now that our season is finally all out in the world, it weirdly feels like a little present from the Universe, to get this bonus Harley ep. Thanks, Universe.
Anyone else hanging out to watch this? Anyone see (or hear) it’s influence in SSQS?

Help for an LGBTQIA+ Podcast?
hey guys!! i’m making a post for my audio drama/podcast called Syntax. we’re really really trying to raise funds for our second season so we can pay our cast and crew accordingly, and we’re 13 days away from closing the campaign with only 26% of goal raised!!
it’s a full-cast, sci-fi horror audio drama with an entirely LGBTQIA+ cast, as well as huge queer elements within the show (such as a non-binary main character!)! it’s primarily focused on a linguist who gets handed a set of artifacts and is asked to translate an unknown language, which sets him on a path of all kinds of fuckery, trauma, and horror. It’s extremely found-family with some really cool monsters/worldbuilding and character dynamics!!
If you’re interested, please consider checking out the campaign at our IGG here, or find out more about the show on our website!
I’D SO APPRECIATE ANY SUPPORT! PLEASE SHARE IF YOU’RE ABLE! we have some really cool rewards and i would just love to fully fund this project!
