Summary:
Rebel Rick (C-1031) has been doing pretty well for himself for a while in dimension C-142. He has a version of his family that’s learned to love him, with a Beth who wasn’t murdered as a baby and a Morty to go on adventures with. After a hard life fighting the Galactic Federation and hunting the Rick that killed his original family, it’s nice.
Until the same evil Rick from thirty years ago tracks him down, brutally murders his grandson, and destroys his family’s home and any means of helping Morty or cloning him in time to save his memories.
Desperate to get his Morty back somehow—not a clone with generic memories, or a Morty from another universe—Rebel Rick turns to C-137 and Morty Prime for help. There’s still no guarantee his plan will work, but he has to try.

Since people here have been comparing Sabine/Ezra to Percy/Annabeth recently, I thought I'd point out another Riordan couple that goes along really well with Sabine and Ezra, and that is Magnus Chase and Alex Fierro from the series Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard, which coincidentally was released around the same time as Star Wars Rebels.
Magnus Chase - Ezra Bridger
both loners who lived on the streets after losing parents
starry-eyed with Alex/Sabine at the beginning
long hair and shaggy-looking, but cut their hair later along the way
easygoing personality, always patient with Alex/Sabine
respected the boundaries put up by Alex/Sabine, treated them as the person they are rather than what they have to offer
special abilities in related with nature (Magnus' healing powers working better in nature, Ezra's affinity to wildlife)
rejected temptation of a reunion with their own parents
main villain using the same 'might makes right' point of view to undermine them (Loki: There is no good and evil, there's only capable and incapable/Thrawn: Who deserves what is irrelevant, what matters is who has power)
Alex Fierro - Sabine Wren
wound up tight and secretive, carrying emotional turmoil from the past
issues with trust and abandonment, hiding it in front of an explosive personality
dyes hair, projecting a bold fashion statement
interest in art and culture
took time for Magnus/Ezra to get through
character arc involves opening up and finding acceptance
willing to share more personal stuff with Magnus/Ezra through time
These are all the stuff I could think of for now. Not sure if these parallels are already pointed out before, but for those who know both series and ship both pairings, you're welcome to add to the above points or share your thoughts!

What ever you do don't think about Percy reading Estelle a little kid version of 'The Odyssey' because that's what Sally read to him but he doesn't want to scare her. Don't imagine Sally looking on with guilt in her eyes cus she HAD to read him the real one so he knew what to expect. Don't think about Sally looking down on her little girl with tears in her eyes cus she doesn't need to worry about snakes in her bed or teachers being Cyclopes. Don't think of Sally seeing Estelle with Paul and having to leave the room cus when Percy was that age they had Gabe. Don't think of the unimaginable guilt that Sally must feel for being relieved that Estelle's biggest battle at 16, is her Dad being her teacher. And whatever you do don't think about Percy feeling like an outsider in his own family even though he gets constantly reassured that he's part of it and loved.

{ @hvbris - from HERE }
Earth wasn't a place Rick often went back to. He hadn't for over fifteen years after he had left the one from his original dimension behind without ever looking back, and even nowadays he was still reluctant to go anywhere close to any version of the planet.
However, business was business and he was the guy who could get you everything you could name. Inevitably, some of that everything could be found only on Earth, which meant that he had to visit, once in a while.
Never to the one he used to live on, though. Never again.
Thus, how he had found himself walking along the sleazy corridor of some cheap motel, knackered for having spent way too much time dealing with some wannabe drug lord...and from having to murder him and his goons when the guy had predictably tried to screw him over.
Useless to say, the last thing he was expecting had been to find an almost naked young woman in his room.
"WOAH! W-What the fuck?!" The black market dealer exclaimed, obviously caught off guard, slamming the door behind him, so that no passerby could get an eyeful of his unexpected guest.
Rick, instead, couldn't stop himself from looking. 'Decency' wasn't a word that belonged to his vocabulary and she was undeniably attractive. Could he really be judged for how his eyes lingered on the line of her collarbones, before slowly dipping along the curve of her breasts and sliding down along her bare abdomen?
Still, since he wasn't a creep to the core, once recovered from the surprise, he spun around and slapped a hand over his eyes.
"Wh-...Why are you stripping in my fuckin' room?!"

What if Rick Grimes was in Star Wars (Edit series)
-Rebel leader pookie
-Probably executed by the Empire during the climax of the last movie of his saga. Instead of being beheaded, his nape was sliced with a saber, making him lose movement and die slowly in some sick Empire event, broadcast to the galaxy.
-His death caused mass riot, making many more people join the cause against the Empire.
-Traded his life so 4 republic planets wouldn't be destroyed. The little ring of planets he saved each one being named on the map with a letter of his name initials to honor him, R.I.C.K. planetary system now.
-Force user but clumsy, zero Jedi training, he tried in the past but some masters said his emotions were too strong and it was a risk he would end up going to the Dark Side if he tried to become a Jedi.
-He did some light saber training because he is force sensitive and can use them, but he often burns himself a little, on his face and sides and thighs, when using light sabers to fight. He doesn't have his own, he uses light sabers he found or that used to belong to his friends.
-Can use the Force to make enemies miss some blaster shots and move small objects, but it's very limited and he has to focus a lot.
-No one considers him a Jedi, except for enemies who don't know him but see him wielding some light saber.
-Can pilot.
-Had gigantic potential as Jedi, but he would have been corrupted and become evil if he had proceeded with his training, hate and anger are stronger motivators for him after all, but also hope and love.
-The Empire and dark forces tried to recruit him to train him as a Sith.
-Cannot stand the passiveness of the Jedi, has a natural rebel personality.
