You ran out of paint for the banners on our upcoming Jericho celebration and went to buy more. With the purchase, the vendor offers a COMPLIMENTARY paintbrush. Wednesday here tries to persuade her that you should get two, she fails and is asked to leave the premises. So far, so good.

HOW-FUCKIN'-EVER…

Instead of taking one brush and leaving LIKE AN ADULT, Wednesday tries, and fails, to INTIMIDATE the vendor who threaten to call the police. Enid takes offence at the implied threat to her girlfriend and slashes the vendor in the face. The police happens to be walking by. Wednesday reacts and sets the store on FIRE as a diversion but fails to account for the fact that the entire store is STOCKED WALL TO WALL WITH CHEMICAL ACCELERANTS. The fire spreads quickly. The entire town is now burning as we speak. There are no witnesses. You escape in the chaos. AND forgot the paint AND the brush.

EVER HEARD OF DE-ESCALATION YOU FUCKIN' PSYCHOPATHS?"

In front of her, Wednesday, covered in soot, shrugs. Enid is besides her, covered in soot and blood on one hand, fidges her fingers as she looks at the floor looking ashamed.

Behind them there's a window, the burning town shinning against the night sky.

Round 1, Side A - Sir Becket (The Weekly Roll) vs. O-Chul (The Order of The Stick)

Sir Becket (The Weekly Roll)

He's my favorite paladin character ever. He has an identity crisis after murdering a family which prompts him to basically try to redeem himself while also trying to stop his party from being murderhobos. Also, LOOK AT THAT HAT. Top tier paladin helmet in my opinion. It's shaped like a bucket.

O-Chul (The Order of The Stick)

OotS is a D&D webcomic, so of course they have paladins—a whole faction of them called the Sapphire Guard, ranging from Lawful Stupid crusaders to rule-bending youths to one old aristocrat without a PC class level to his name. And then there's O-Chul. If Miko is everything wrong with paladins, O-Chul is everything that be right about them. He's noble and honorable, sticking to his paladin oaths...most of the time. Unlike Miko, he's willing to recognize when bending the oaths is Good and when failing to uphold them is inevitable. He cares about friends and allies, doing what he can to protect them; he shows empathy towards many of his enemies, most notably the Monster in the Darkness. He's a good, heroic dude who encourages others to be better. His heroism isn't just a matter of attitude. A paladin has strong fortitude and will, and O-Chul excels at both, even if his reflexes are rather poor. He endured months of imprisonment, torture, and villains betting on whether he'd survive the torture without losing either his life or his compassion towards (some of) the people betting on him. And judging by his implied level and lack of paladin class features, this paladin's paladin has at least twice as many fighter levels as paladin levels.

Seeing the edges of Ice and Mav's wedding was lovely, but I wasn't expecting them to have invited VIPER of all people. Can I grab a full guest list of the people who you think they would have wanted there to bear witness to the legal proof of their relationship?

they invited viper for the meta reason of “in my fanfiction he basically got ice & mav together & then i kinda forgot about him as a character when he was their friend & coworker at miramar for over a decade oops” & also i think age gaps closing as you get older is super interesting… viper not being mav’s dad figure anymore cause they’re both old as shit… they’re just pals now… drinking buddies… the earth is healing…

i am still secondhand embarrassed for ice & mav actually having a wedding, seems super out of character, i only made them invite their friends because it was the climax of the friendship arc in Slider but imo it otherwise doesn’t make any sense, the wedding would’ve been actually excruciating to write in any detail

but here’s an off the cuff wedding invite list sure

slider, sarah (😏), Cougar, sundown, hondo, rooster, hangman, Hollywood, wolfman, chipper, [it’s been so long since I’ve seen top gun i forgor the other pilots’ call signs so add your favorite background character here], viper, rear admiral chester cain for the meme (he RSVPs no), extremely select members of ice’s staff (COS e.g.), a couple of mav’s friends if he has any (unlikely)… Penny? no. she’s an ex. it would be weird.

shoutout to genshin impact for being the only game w/ gaming!!

first of all. he sounds amazing in every single voiceover <3 gaming stans we stay winning

i cannot lie his "hey boss" in EN reminded me of hermes hades game and it's really really cute

also i might be hearing things in the intonation but it Sounded like his EN va said his name w/ the correct accents?? falling tone is natural for a declarative statement though so it might just be a coincidence ;u;

forever grateful that they included the raised cylinder platforms lion dancers use in performances in his attack animations

his roar. yeah.

i am seriously considering buying a blackcliff slasher for him in the future if i have starglitter to spare

i absolutely love how they incorporate the modern and the traditional w/ the digital mora coins/glowing lights on his outfit and the cultural/historical aspects of the lion dance (the same can be said of yun jin's opera cutscene using instruments like modern drums/guitar while maintaining a traditional opera singing style)

when he goes "are you hungry~?" does he know i'd say yes to anything he asks

i think they did a great job w/ the casting in all 4 voiceover languages bc they all have a similar endearing tone ^^ i can't decide which voiceover i want to use while playing him

his roar (it's more like an effort sfx) in CN voiceover. chefs kiss

he sounds very light in JP voiceover and his roar... it's adorable...

his "let's go" and roar (more like an "ahem!") in KR voiceover is so darn cute i am biting through steel beams as we speak

we've already established this but i'm so hyped for his release
