I've seen the Johnlock video as well, and I recognized the former Kummer she was talking about. I won't give away her name, but she's even crazier than the video made her seem. She had these elaborate conspiracy theories, like how Sam wearing a bolo tie meant he was gay. She was also sexist and racist: she referred to all Sam/girl ships as "Samgina" (for Sam/vagina) and was enraged that Sam was dating Mercedes because "guys like him don't date girls like her." Super gross all around.

You know - I did a quick google search after I posted that last night, and was able to figure out who it is. I completely understand not naming names, and I won't either, but she's relatively easy to find.

I did not recognize her - but I do recognize the vile type of fan that she is. Not unlike the tinhatters - she definitely has/d a need to claim that her way of looking at things is the only way - and if you don't follow her way you're *wrong on the internet tm*

The conspiracy theories are wild and not at all grounded in reality. And ooff - yes, the racism and sexism is clearly there. (I also tripped over that gross post from years ago listing why Darren was problematic -- and it really stems from Darren not being their preferred person they'd want to bang.)

But man, all this takes me back to a time when the episode Rumours included a story line to specifically to tell people that Sam isn't gay because some of those Kummers just could not let it die. Talk about toxic fandoming - and this chick clearly was one of the worst.

The sad part is that a lot of these BNF people that spout off all this toxicity are not the the teenagers or young people in the fandom. They're usually older and, scarily, have real adult jobs - such as this person is an actual lawyer somewhere. The tinhat leaders were (are) all middle aged women who should know better, too. The fact that they're able to influence all of these young people with their shady conspiracies and their awful viewpoints is just... i don't even know. Terrible.

The internet is a scary place - stay safe out there and avoid the toxicity when you can. <3

Also missing the days when all I could talk about was a SPN/OUAT crossover; I was obsessed. I even made edits of the crossover ships. Those days are long over now *SIGH*

The Kummers got away with a lot because they made alliances with other ships. The big one was Kum Quick Tits and Tarts, which was between Kum, Quick, Brittana and Tartie fans. Since they were all friends, if you tried to call Kummers on their shit, you'd get dogpiled by other shippers. There was also a Kumofsky alliance, iirc. I am surprised you hadn't heard of samgina, because I thought the "chord said no more samgina forever, and released Sam into the ether" thing was a fandom legend.

Omg I really must’ve been living under a fandom rock bc this is all new to me. “Kum Quick Tits and Tarts” is fucking hysterical tho omg. And all this talk of alliances makes it sound like a more entertaining Game of Thrones.

But see this is why I didn’t know. Cause when I joined the fandom, it was the Klaine fandom (which had their own issues obvi but come on). At least they were out of this mess. And I knew I hated the Britt/ana fandom 😂 😂 But they all just sound… awful. Smh. 

Also jeez I feel really bad for Sam now bc apparently people were going to hate him no matter who he got with. Which sucks bc he’s got so much love to give and tbh I ship him with just about everybody 😭 😭

Wybitna postać rosyjskiego modernizmu okresu srebrnego wieku. Uważany za inicjatora socrealizmu w literaturze. Pierwszy przewodniczący Związku Pisarzy ZSRR w latach 1934–1936. Wcześnie osierocony, wychowywany przez babkę. W 1895 roku pracował w „Samarskiej Gaziecie”, gdzie poznał młodą korektorkę Jekatierinę Wołżinę, z którą ożenił się w 1896 roku. Mieli dwójkę dzieci – syna Maksima, urodzonego w 1897 roku, i córkę Katię. Gorki zawarł później drugie małżeństwo z aktorką Marią Andrejewną, nie rozwodząc się jednak z pierwszą żoną. W latach 1906–1913, ze względów zdrowotnych, mieszkał wraz z drugą żoną na wyspie Capri. Prowadził tam szkołę partyjną dla robotników, która mieściła się w hotelu Blesus. Środki na jej utrzymanie pochodziły od niemieckiego milionera Friedricha Alfreda Kruppa. W 1907 założył tam też grupę literacko-edukacyjną Capri. W styczniu 1910 roku trafił tam również, cierpiący na problemy z płucami, Feliks Dzierżyński. Gorki i Dzierżyński przyjaźnili się przez wiele lat, aż do śmierci tego ostatniego. Mimo przedrewolucyjnej przyjaźni z Leninem rewolucję październikową przyjął z niechęcią, publikował antybolszewickie felietony, próbował ratować aresztowanych pisarzy. W 1920 roku jego druga żona, Maria Fiodorowna Andrejewa, aktorka, została komisarzem politycznym do spraw teatru i ministrem sztuki. Skonfliktowany z władzami i chory na gruźlicę na polecenie Lenina wyjechał 6 października 1921 r. na leczenie za granicę. W latach 1921–1924 mieszkał na emigracji w Niemczech, w Berlinie, Bad Saarow i Heringsdorfie (gdzie leczył gruźlicę), później do 1927 roku we Włoszech (Sorrento). Tymczasem władze uznały pisarstwo Gorkiego za wzorzec do naśladowania (realizm socjalistyczny) i zabiegały o jego powrót i poparcie. Działania odniosły skutek. Po powrocie, mianowany przewodniczącym Związku Pisarzy ZSRR, brał udział w licznych przedsięwzięciach kulturalnych i propagandowych (m.in. redagował osławiony zbiór esejów o budowie Kanału Białomorsko-Bałtyckiego). I mean, it makes it sound like women are the scum of the earth and vaginas are these evil soul sucking entities.

Sorry, Hevens-hating nonnie here. I sent you an ask, but I guess Tumblr ate it. The reasons I hate Hevans could fill a novel, so here are the highlights: they called all of Sam's girlfriends "samgina" for Sam/vagina., and they called Mercedes a mammy and said she looked like Aunt Jemima. Blaine was too femme and said "Kurt needs a real man." And Sam was a better gay character because he was masculine. Also, they harassed anyone who said Sam wasn't gay, to the point of sending death threats.

I can definitely see why you would hate the fandom because of that. That’s some good ol sexism, racism, homophobia, and toxic masculinity all in one neat little package, huh? 

I always thought Sam should’ve been/is bi and I even think him and Kurt make a cute couple but I’m not gonna send anyone death threats over it lmao. That’s just awful. Honestly I understand why you’d hate Hevans thanks to the shippers T-T
