The Hair Chronicles: SheaMoisture Apple Cider Vinegar Collection

Haven’t done one of these in a while. Because I have locs, I don’t use many products, but I’m always on the lookout for a good shampoo and sometnhing for the scalp. I got these through Influenster. Let’s chat.

The Details:

Faint apple scent

Ingredients include apple cider vinegar, Vitamin B3 & Salicylic Acid

From the website: infused with Apple Cider Vinegar, Vitamin B3 & Salicylic Acid, helps to eliminate flaking and itching associated with dandruff and gently cleanses to remove buildup.

What I received:

Apple Cider Vinegar anti-dandruff shampoo ($12.99)

Apple Cider Vinegar anti-dandruff leave-in ($13.99)

With my locs, I’m always on the lookout for a good shampoo to remove buildup. I exercise daily, which means sweat, and on top of adding products like the oil-water mix on a daily basis, I gotta get a good cleanse once a week. After using these two for about 3 months, I can honestly say this is a favorite. The shampoo cleanses well and leaves a minty feeling on the scalp. I follow up with a separate conditioner, but then I apply the leave-in to my scalp, and that has a nice tingle to it as well. I use the leave-in maybe twice a week; it’s been very useful this summer.

I need to restock soon. Might even get an extra since I know how SheaMoisture likes to discontinue without much notice.

Maybe I’ll follow up with what is currently in my stash in another post.
