"This slow mover is a silky anteater. His giant claw and a gripping prehensile tail help keep his balance as he walks the mangrove tightropes of the swamp."

ANTINY, ANTAMAND & TITANTEAR (Normal) the Anteater pokemon
They are the "basic rodent" pokemon of the Kroel region although they can be compared more to the SLAKOTH/VIGOROTH/SLAKING line
ANTINY (Anteater/Tiny) is based on the Silky Anteater/Pigmy Anteater, they like to curl into balls and sleep all day, using their long prehensible tails to grab things and push themselves around
ANTAMAND (Anteater/Tamandua/Mand=Hands) is based on the Tamandua, their forelimbs have grown stronger allowing them to walk and climb faster, they keep their long tail curled on their backs and are able to stretch it out when they need an "extra hand" for both mobility and combat
TITANTEAR (Titan/Anteater/Tear as in "tearing apart") is based on the Giant Anteater, their heavy bushy tails no longer serve as a 3rd hand but rather as a counterweight, allowing them to stand on their back legs, giving them full use of their powerful arms, their long and sharp claws are used to dig into rock solid anthills and mounds with ease to capture their prey and can be used to cause terrible damage to any predator and foe
this line is the 3rd version (2nd remake) of my original anteater line I made in 2008, predating HEATMOR by 2 years
It’s Wednesday, so hang in there like the silky anteater (Cyclopes didactylus)! This critter, which spends most of its life in the trees, uses long claws and a prehensile tail to hang high above the ground. It’s the world’s smallest anteater and only grows about 17.7 inches (45 centimeters) in length, much of it tail. Fun fact: This mammal’s ideal home is a ceiba tree because the tree’s seed pods are similar in appearance to the anteater’s own silky fur, camouflaging this small species from predators.

I built up the form I used for Pongly Bongus, re-cut, traced and enlarged it a little on the computer. Solid results but the pattern is not ideal. Way too many tricky small spots. I’ll have to refine it if I want to make more at some point.
Also her limbs and tail are wires but I have learned that aluminum wire really needs more of an anchor especially in super soft fluff so she is only gently posable. She can, at least, properly address threats:
Unfortunately, silky anteaters are adorable when angry. Oh, shoot… I forgot I was gonna stitch a little on her nose to make the shape clearer. Welp, will do that shortly.
Brazil’s Most Adorable Anteater May Be a New Species
These isolated, pocket-sized silky anteaters live among the mangroves of Brazil’s Atlantic coast.
HIKING THROUGH DENSE VEGETATION IN Brazil’s Parnaíba Delta, Flávia Miranda stops suddenly and plucks a wheat-colored ball of fur from the tangle of mangrove branches. Startled from its slumber, the tennis ball-sized silky anteater raises its forepaws defensively like a boxer.
Miranda, a researcher in conservation medicine at the State University of Santa Cruz in Brazil, carefully takes samples of blood and fur, then releases the elusive animal back into the forest.
Silky anteaters are the smallest anteaters and were the first to evolve, between 30 and 40 million years ago. Largely solitary and nocturnal, these fluffy little canopy dwellers inhabit low-altitude rainforests and mangroves from southern Mexico to northern Bolivia. When they’re not gorging on ants and termites, they spend much of their two-year life span sleeping.
Until recently, scientists believed that all silky anteaters belonged to the same species. But in 2017, Miranda published an analysis of silky anteater DNA from across the Americas, revealing seven distinct species...
