He was playing a double life for so long and today is when it all comes to a head. Today decides whether it mattered or if it was all for nothing.

He stopped in the middle of the floor with the throne right in front of him. With his eyes not leaving the seat he had longed for. His work was not going to end up being worthless. He was going to make something of it. He had to.

House of M if Namor wasn't a little bitch.

Pietro paces from one side of the palace common room to the other. His quick steps nearly leave indents on the hard stone floor. The tight suit pants fail to restrain his speed as he nervously picks at the skin around his nails.

He was playing a double life for so long and today is when it all comes to a head. Today decides whether it mattered or if it was all for nothing.

"That is mine. My throne!" Magnus yells out at the entrance of the room. His voice was almost echoing.

"Father?!" Pietro whips around, quickly hiding his shock with amusement. "You're still alive?" He asked with a laugh, grinning.

"No more games, son," The word leaves his mouth as if it was an insult, "You tried to kill me for my crown. Own it."

"The Atlantean warriors are invading and killing your people and, instead of helping, you're here." Pietro says, delightfully, "Yelling at me as you've always done. My whole life."

"You tried to kill me..." The hatred in his voice is palpable. Magnus gave this boy everything and this was how he repaid him? "...for my own crown."

"Father..."

"Own it!" Magnus screams. It's a sound Pietro has known since he was a young boy. Only this time it wasn't accompanied with the sickening shake of the room.

Oh.

"Wait now..." Pietro's smile widens as he realizes the plan is working, "What's wrong with you? You've been screaming at me my whole life. The metal always trembles any time you raise your voice. It's unsettling." Pietro slowly explains as if it wasn't obvious. Only to rub it in. "But this room is full of metal and..." Pietro moved faster than the eye could see. He grabbed at Magnus' collar and pulled him close.

"Ha!" Pietro yelled in his father's face. A bit of spit landed on the man's face but he didn't care. How could he? He was winning and it felt great. "You've lost your powers, haven't you? Your threats are empty! You want me to own my actions, father? You want –"

Pietro is cut off with loud cracks from inside the room. The thick metal plates on the walls start ripping and being manipulated like tin foil. The only indication it wasn't his father was the green glow that illuminated the torn parts. "Well, %^&*."

Pietro silently curses himself for not coming to this conclusion. Magnus was not killed, yet. Which, of course, meant neither had the other metal bender of the family. Lorna, his youngest sister.

"Lorna."

"Hello, Pietro."

The two exchange tense greetings. Pietro lets go of Magus and takes a single step back.

"You had it right, son. My magnetism is on the ritz." Magnus straightens the collar of his suit and rolls his shoulders back. He stands up taller, "Your sister's, on the other hand..."

Lorna uses her power to lift off the ground just behind their father. Her hair is standing up at the ends due to the pure strength of her power. She raises her arms out and green lighting strikes out to the metal surrounding her.

"Am I meant to be frightened? By my little sister?" Pietro lets out a huff of a laugh at Lorna's attempt to intimidate him by looking bigger. "I'm still Quicksilver. Still the fastest man in the world. Still the son of Magnus."

Blues strikes of lightning manifest around Pietro. Like they were pulling themselves backwards, lightning started at points, like the outside corner of his eyes and his chest, and wrapped behind him. His eyes almost glowing as the cracks of thunder echo around them.

"Polaris has never beaten me at anything." The words were almost a snarl as they left his mouth. He glared at his sister who returned the favor.

"That's true." Lorna admits, a bitter tone hidden in her voice. "But it has been awhile since I tried."

The family meeting is quickly drawn to a close as a loud scoff is heard from a dark corner of the room. Before any of them have the time to react, Namor lunges at Magnus and Lorna.

"Enough with the contant royal posturing!" Namor screams, trident held in both hands and pointed directly at Lorna.

"Namor?!" Magnus yells as he turns to see the king of Atlantis.

"Father, look out!" Fortunately for her, Lorna managed to rip Namor's trident out of his hands before he could attack them properly. Though, that didn't stop him from effectively tackling them.

"Pathic." Namor turns to Pietro before he'd have to continue the fight. "Get your sister and get out of here." Namor barks the order as Atlantean warriors arrive at the scene. Namor turns around to handle Magnus and Lorna as they are standing up getting ready to fight.

Pietro did as Namor told him to and ran out to the kingdom's garden. He had asked her to come here before the event had started. Though he never got to explain everything to her, he's hoping she'll show up now so he can defend himself.

Not long after arriving, Wanda storms into the garden. Sparks of her power follow her steps.

"I should take you apart brick by brick for what you've done!" Wanda stomped over to her brother. There's venom in her voice but Pietro chooses to ignore it.

"Perhaps. But you won't." He smiles at his sister. "So calm down and let's talk."

"You murdered our father!" She screams, her anger causing her power to spark out erratically.

"No, I didn't." Pietro states, shaking his head slightly.

"It's the Atlanteans who attacked the castle." Wanda points at the castle that was now almost in ruins.

"Obviously." Pietro's eyes flickered towards the ruined structure, a sense of regret flashing in his eyes. He steps closer to Wanda. "But father was dead and gone long before that. He just didn't know it yet. Magnus was a great super villain and an even better general." Pietro's eyebrow furrowed. "But the man was a terrible king."

"He mishandled the humans. He underestimated the Atlanteans." Pietro rolls his eyes from just the thought of his father's actions. His tone was firm, a sense of bitterness tingeing his words."Father was a ghost in a silk bathrobe and we all paid the price."

"And you think that Justifies-" Wanda starts, getting angry again.

"I think Namor was taking Father down with or without me." Pietro cuts her off.

"You could've fought him." Wanda's chest heaved with rage as she glared at her brother.

"Yes." Pietro grits his teeth. "But then I'd be dead along with father and Genosha would have an Atlantean king. Or, more likely, a civil war."

"What makes you so sure you'll be any better at this then father was?" Wanda asked skeptically, folding his arms across his chest.

"I won't try to do it alone." Pietro replied confidently, his eyes meeting hers without hesitation.

"Oh, yes, Namor is a fine-" Wanda starts, only for Pietro to interrupt again.

"Not him, silly." Pietro chuckled, shaking her head. "When have I ever done anything worthwhile without my twin sister right there with me?"

"We can build a better world, Wanda. Together." Pietro encouraged, reaching out to gently touch her arm. "We can do it right."

"Fine. But I reserve the right to change my mind..." Wanda's expression softened slightly as she considered Pietro's words. "With extreme prejudice." Wanda states, a smirk playing on his lips.

"Of course."

Namor Week 2023 - Day 4 - Alternate Universe I once again had the honor of working with the amazingly talented @pointdotiozao who created this beautiful scene featuring Namor/Pietro. The details are so beautiful and they really outdid themselves with creating the captain’s cabin bathed in moonlight. Thank you so much for my commission!!!

One of my favorite AU verses is 1602 and I put my own spin on the universe: Namor is a mutant sea pirate known as the Scourge of the Seven Seas. Pietro is a mutant in hiding, disguising himself as a priest to avoid being found as mutant (or as they call it “witch”) born. Who knew that freeing the captive pirate captain would turn both their worlds upside down? On the run from witch hunters they take to the seas in an adventure of danger and romance.

Is namor gay? or bisexual? or pansexual??

I personally headcanon Namor as pansexual.

Officially Marvel has never stated Namor to be gay/bi/pansexual. Marvel assumes Namor is straight, however a few times in the comics creators have subtlety hinted that Namor is not.

However unless Marvel comes out and states this officially then at this point all we have is LGBTQ Coding from the comics, however the comics have at least stated that Namor is polyamorous and has had both monogamous and non-monogamous relationships and this is canon.

Also note that Namor has stated “Partners” rather than just “women” whenever he talks about his relationships.

Uncanny X-Men (2012) #1 - Namor is shown entertaining advances from multiple partners.

Uncanny X-Men (1963) 534.1 - "Only Namor has the ability to make the earth move. And he reserves that privilege for one woman at a time. Unless they have experimental friends."

Bucky Barnes: Winter Soldier (2014) #1 - "I am not single. Well presently there are four. Brenda is my primary. Primary partner. Ulalume, Francis*, and China. I'm also seeing from time to time."

*Note: Francis is the male version. The female version of the name is Frances or Francesca.

Marvel has also canceled a planned Queer Romance story line between Namor/Quicksilver back in 2015 for the House of M (2015) Alternate Universe because they stated they didn't want to write a same sex story line unless it had lasting effects, even though they had done that before in many alternate universes however they didn't want to imply Namor or Quicksilver were anything but straight. They tried to scrub the story line from the comic itself but you can still feel the intent.
