The thing about Fallout is ... I don't actually think Bethesda really broke the concept until Fallout 76. I have seen people wring their hands over the Nuclear Option quest in Fallout 4 being incompatible with Fallout's themes, but I don't really agree with that.

There's that tired, defeated sounding voice over at the start of every game, after all: "War, war never changes". And I remember: I remember having to blow up both the Mariposa Base and the Cathedral in the original Fallout; I remember destroying the Enclave oil rig in Fallout 2. That's three whole buildings with people in them, just like the Institute.

While they are role playing games with a lot of choice and consequence built in, the Fallout series does consistently railroad the player in one sense: you are inserted into the narrative at a point where the situation has escalated to the point where you have to go to war. There are many side quests that give you the opportunity to find alternative, peaceful solutions to conflicts – you can fix broken machinery and forge alliances or just shout at people until they calm down, and that all works – but in the main quest, the fight is inevitable.

And that makes sense. The ghost that haunts the narrative of every Fallout game is the morning of the 23rd of October, 2077, when everybody fired on everybody else at once. You ask yourself – "How could they do that?" The scale of the destruction, the sheer number of deaths, the absolute no-win scenario that created for every nation in the world makes it sound utterly unthinkable. But they did it.

You get a lot of historical backstory on how they got there, of course: the over reliance on fossil fuels, culminating in a last minute switch to nuclear power; the collapsing economies and failing institutions; the extreme ideologies embraced by the world's super powers; the horrifying disregard for human life that spread everywhere well before anyone launched those missiles. You see all the off ramps that weren't taken along the way.

But more importantly, you live it, every time. You never set out to fight a war or blow anything up. You're trying to find a damn water chip, a GECK, your father, the guy who fucking shot you, your son. But at the end of the day, you always find yourself recruited, and you always have to destroy something. Then you can see for yourself how it happens. The world had passed its point of no return the day you arrived in it, and you just have to deal with it. War never changes.

But with Fallout 76 ... I mean, it's the problem of a single player narrative in a multiplayer game. The premise is that you are one of many vault dwellers emerging into the world to rebuild, but in practice you are The Chosen One, all over again. The Vault Dweller, singular. If you imagine it as a single player scenario it's not that bad, although it is retreading old ground: the Enclave has another one of their delightful genocidal plans, and in the end you have to turn their weapons on their plague-ridden creations to stop the nightmare from spreading. It's a tragedy, because you are risking this little patch of unpolluted land, where crops can still grow and people can still live – but you're alone with only the resources you've been able to scrape together from the detritus of this fallen society, so what choice do you have?

Except. Well. You are not alone. Not even a little bit. In theory you should have a vault full of fellow geniuses to collaborate with. And unlike other games in the series, your fundamental issue is not that you are dealing with multiple groups of people with such different ideologies that they will never agree. Those people existed, but they are now dead or fled (At least originally; I am aware that expansions have since changed the situation). In theory you are now accompanied by a group of people who should, like you, be focused on doing everything they can not to destroy their new homeland.

And worst of all, because it's a multiplayer game everybody gets a bloody turn. You don't launch your weapons, battle the scorchbeast queen and then fade into a montage describing the literal fallout of what you have done. No, you do the whole thing over again for the XP and the loot. So now you are basically using nuclear weapons for post-apocalyptic big game hunting, and it drives me up the wall.

War never changes. Let's launch the nukes for fun.

Fallout 76 is one of the best online games.

Seriously though, the game was bullied so much after it's release, but since they got rid of most of the bugs, and added proper npcs in my opinion the game became nearly perfect. It still has an appeal of a single player game while being online at the same time. Also the level of detail this game has? Truly astonishing. How monsters are animated, how you can see a rain cloud from the distance... Funny npcs, catching soundtrack - everything about this game seems perfect in my eyes.

I love fallout 76.

What would be the South Park characters Overwatch main:

Let’s start with team 1 (the main 4 +Butters):

Tank: Cartman obviously.

He’s that annoying RoadHog 1 trick but after Hog got reworked he became an annoying Doomfist 1 trick. Don’t ask him to switch even if he’s being hard countered. He won’t. Constantly complains about heals. If they win he says “gg ez tank diff” even when he’s done the worst in the lobby but if they lose he will say “support diff/no heals”. Every time he falls off the map Kyle types “?” In chat.

DPS 1: Kenny.

Kenny plays JunkRat mainly. He’s the type of JunkRat to go into the whole enemy team alone just to die but still gets like a 2k with his dead body mines. The suicidal JunkRat play. Will go out of his way to find the Mercy with his Tire even if it kills him. Will also circle around a Mei in ice block with his tire to kill her despite him also playing Mei too sometimes. Definitely made at least one of those TikTok’s of JunkRat using his sit down emote in front of the spawn doors on top of one of his traps. Spams the ‘ahhh it’s snowing’ voice line 24/7.

DPS 2: Stan

Stan is that hitscan player you despise. The type you sit there and think, if you didn’t play hitscan you would be terrible, spoiler he wouldn’t be terrible. His most comfortable character though is Soldier 76. Hella basic but he enjoys it. He actually used to be a Genji main though but he got tired of constantly being solo gravd when he was nano blading. Kind of expected Wendy to be his pocket Mercy (she did not). Will 100% flirt with a Mercy to get a pocket in the spawn room and taxi them back from spawn.

Support 1: Butters

Everyone expected him to be a Mercy 1 trick. They were wrong. When he plays Mercy he’s the stereotypical heal bot sugar plum fairy Mercy. Butters is actually a Brigitte main. He can play other supports if needed but he isn’t very good at them. He only wears the Goat Brig skin. Will throw the game just to show everyone the Katt Brig emote. Will also refuse to kill Wrecking Ball players.

Support 2: Kyle

Absolutely feral when playing Ana. The type of Ana that would sleep an invis Sombra because his ‘Sombra senses’ were tingling. If you’re playing tank against his Ana you might as well just leave the game or you’ll be constantly slept or antid. He might have thrown a bit of a fit when Kiriko was introduced. Now he just sleeps any Kiriko’s and nano’s a teammate to solo ult her for him. Will nano a Mercy. He can play any support though and as much as he loves to play Ana his highest win percentage is on Mercy. He’s Stan’s egirl pocket Mercy, he hates it (he’s lying).

Team 2 (Craig’s gang):

Tank: Clyde

D.Va 1 trick (he thinks she’s hot). Will spam ‘is this easy mode~’ after every kill. Gets salty when he gets D.Va diffed or if the enemy D.Va gets play of the Game. Owns every D.Va skin, emote, victory pose and highlight intros.

DPS 1: Craig

Hanzo main but is a menace when playing Torbjörn or Symmetra. Will chase after you with Torbs hammer. Will also put a Sym tp at the edge of the map to make his teammates fall off. His true strength though, Bastion. Yup he’s on of those players. He will kind of just play whatever character people find the most annoying at the time.

DPS 2: Jimmy

Plays only female characters. His personal favourite is Tracer though. He also loves playing Widowmaker but he’s terrible at her. Bro can’t land a single shot. Will definitely play Pharah into double hitscan and wonder why he’s dying so much.

Support 1: Tolkien

Loves playing characters like Baptise and Ana, just supports that can pump out a lot of heals but still defend themselves if needed. Throws the best timed Immortality Fields so much it makes people want to cry. Tolkien is the type of support player that would always make sure his fellow support player is okay. Like jump off the map to help a Mercy get back up type of guy.

Support 2: Tweek

Most people are shocked when Tweek says he’s a support main, they’re even more shocked when he tells them he’s a Zenyatta/Lucio main. Tweek also enjoys playing Mercy every now and then. Battle Mercy is in his blood. Will scream when he gets nanoed no matter who he’s playing. When he’s pissed off at Craig he will play Mercy and t-bag Craig’s dead soul and refuse to Rez him. Tweek is the most petty support main. You spam ‘I need healing’ too much and he will refuse to heal you for the rest of the game, competitive or not.

I just took a look through all of the characters from Overwatch 2 and I noticed something. If you look at the aging male characters (Soldier 76, Reinhart, Torbjörn, Cassidy, Sigma, Doomfist) you’ll see that the animators do have the capability to add wrinkles and age marks to the characters that add a lot of depth to them and actually make them look more human and believibly their age.

Taking a look at the female characters is a whole lot different.

95% of the female characters in the game have pristinely smooth skin (and mainly PALE skin but that’s not the point i’m making here)

Even Ana- a woman who’s canonly 62 years old only has a few lines around her mouth and eyes. She is probably the most well done example of a more aged woman in the game and she literally still only looks like she’s in her 40’s

Take a look at Ashe! She’s supposed to be 41 years old and does not have a single flaw or blemish besides a birthmark. Her skin is literally smooth as paper.

Mercy is 39 and has the flawless skin of a cosmetics commercial.

Widowmaker is 35 and has the most plush baby-faced facial structure i’ve ever seen. Not a single line or wrinkle.

Sojourn is supposed to look 51 YEARS OLD. Aside from her white hair having never seen her before I guessed that her age was going to be in her 20’s or 30’s.

Mei is 33 and looks pristine!

I understand that this is a video game franchise that has a more cartoony look to it’s characters but if you’re going to spend the time to add age diversity to the male characters then the female characters deserve it too. It sends a super unrealistic standard for all woman and I think it’s a very bad look considering that the majority of the game’s players are men. It’s like you’re showing men at a very young age that all women are naturally going to look perfect at all ages.

I'm a canucks fan primarily, my favourite player is ethan bear (just waiting for him to re-sign), and i also follow the habs pretty closely. I was leaning toward supporting montréal's pwhl team bc of the city connection, but i'd love to hear any other suggestions you have! thank you!

Montréal has a lot of great player, and If you enjoy Ethan Bear's style of play as a puck moving defender with a lot of focus on creativity in of the offensive zone, I would watch Maude Poulin-Labelle closely

Poulin-Labelle is an interesting player because she, self admittedly, did not excel at hockey to start as a kid, and also was recruited as a forward by University of Vermont before transitioning to a full time defender. This is all according to writer Gabriella Fundaro for the website At Even Strength. The same article has one of my favorite quotes about her: “[My coaches] are always saying ‘Maude doing Maude things’ when I do something odd,” she said. “I’m not a hundred percent sure what they mean, but I think just that I’m doing odd stuff that most people wouldn’t do when I play.”

Maude holds the record for most points in a single season by a defender in Vermont, and even had a natural hat trick during her time there.

The actor Brigit Forsyth, who has died aged 83, made her name as Thelma in the BBC television series Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads? One critic described Thelma as so prim that she could turn the lifting of a lace curtain into an art form.

Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais’s creation, which ran from 1973 to 1974, was the sequel to the popular 1960s sitcom The Likely Lads, which starred Rodney Bewes and James Bolam as Bob Ferris and Terry Collier, two single north-east England factory workers who share a flat and the same interests – women, drink and football.

Thelma Chambers was brought in as a girlfriend for the upwardly mobile Bob, now in the white-collar class with a house, car and annual holiday on the Costa Brava, scoffed at by Terry, who clings on to his working-class roots. Thelma and Bob were married halfway through the two series of the show.

“Up until then, I had done a lot of drama on telly,” said Forsyth. “If I wasn’t being murdered, I was murdering somebody or I was a disturbed art teacher. I was playing quite a lot of deranged people, so comedy was a nice change.”

She created laughs again with the sitcom Sharon and Elsie (1984-85), in which she co-starred as the middle-class Elsie Beecroft alongside Janette Beverley as the more down-to-earth Sharon Wilkes, two employees in a greetings card manufacturing company.

But Forsyth’s own favourite television part was Francine Pratt in Playing the Field (1998-2002), the on- and off-pitch women’s football drama created by Kay Mellor. Her character, who hates the game, is married to the Castlefield Blues’ sponsor, played by Ricky Tomlinson, and keeps him happy in return for designer clothes and other luxuries.

“I have never played awful glamour before,” she said. “I had a blond wig, six-inch heels, makeup and my bosom hitched up high.”

Forsyth was born in Malton, North Yorkshire, to Scottish parents, Anne (nee Forsyth), an artist, and Frank Connell, an architect and town planner, and brought up in Edinburgh. She was mesmerised by Stanley Baxter’s performances as a pantomime dame at the city’s King’s theatre and, aged 18, landed her own first lead role, as Sarat Carn, on her way to the gallows, in Charlotte Hastings’s play Bonaventure with the Makars amateur drama group.

But when she left St George’s school, Edinburgh, her parents insisted she learn a skill, so she trained as a secretary. After a couple of jobs, she headed for London and Rada (1958-60), where she won the Emile Littler prize.

She began her professional career back in Edinburgh with the Gateway theatre company (1960-61) before moving on to the Theatre Royal, Lincoln (1961-62) and the Arthur Brough Players in Folkestone (1962). With other actors already named Brigit McConnell and Bridget O’Connell, she changed her professional name to Forsyth on her return to Lincoln in 1962.

At the Edinburgh festival three years later, she played one of the witches in a headline-making production of Macbeth. “That show caused an absolute uproar because they wanted the witches to have the bodies of young girls and the faces of old women, and they wanted us to have our top half naked,” Forsyth recalled. “But the Earl of Harewood, who was running the EIF at the time, said ‘No’. So they put nipple caps on us, which looked absolutely disgusting – and they used to drop off each night. It was absolutely hysterical.”

Later, in the West End, Forsyth played Annie in The Norman Conquests (Globe, now Gielgud, and Apollo theatres, 1974-76) and Dusa in the feminist play Dusa, Fish, Stas and Vi (Mayfair theatre, 1976-77). She put her TV breakthrough down to cutting her hair short. “It proved a tremendously lucky omen,” she said.

That break came with Adam Smith (1972), in which she played the younger daughter of the title character, a Scottish minister (Andrew Keir). The director, Brian Mills, then worked with Forsyth on the psychological thriller Holly (1972), when she took the part of a young art teacher kidnapped by a mentally unstable student. Forsyth and Mills married in 1976.

Television roles kept on coming. She was Veronica, one of the product-promotion team, in The Glamour Girls (1980-82), Harriet in the inter-generational sitcom Tom, Dick and Harriet (1982-83), and Helen Yeldham, a hotelier, in the 1989 series of Boon.

There were also appearances in soap opera: as GP Judith Vincent in The Practice (1985-86); Babs Fanshawe, Ken Barlow’s escort agency date who dies of a heart attack, in a 1998 Coronation Street episode; Delphine LaClair, a sales rep for a French company interested in buying Rodney Blackstock’s vineyards, for two short runs in Emmerdale (2005 and 2006); Cressida, mother of the millionaire Nate Tenbury-Newent, in Hollyoaks in 2013; and three roles in Doctors between 2000 and 2012.

Forsyth also played the miserable Madge, who frustrates her sister Mavis’s attempts at a relationship with Granville, in the sitcom sequel Still Open All Hours (2013-19).

A cellist from the age of nine, Forsyth starred as the real-life virtuoso Beatrice Harrison in a 2004 tour of The Cello and the Nightingale. Also on tour, she was a remarkably believable Queen Elizabeth II in A Question of Attribution (2000) and played Marie in Calendar Girls (2008). “I’m Mrs Frosty-Knickers, the one who doesn’t approve of it all.”

In 2017, she played a terminally ill musician in the stage comedy Killing Time, written by her daughter, Zoe Mills, who acted alongside her. At the time, Forsyth revealed that her maternal grandfather, a GP in Yorkshire, had helped dying patients to end their lives. Declaring herself a supporter of euthanasia, she said: “He bumped off probably loads of people with doses of morphine.”

In 1999, Forsyth separated from her husband, but they remained friends until his death in 2006. She is survived by their children, Ben and Zoe.

So i have Watch Barbie. Sadly I hate it 🥲because i adore the actors and the existential crisis of Barbie was very interesting idea ( not really exploit on the movie) . Really I hate that movie. there was plenty reasons that make me hate the movie but the ultimate one : thats basically Mattel version of Maleficent. And I hate maleficent for what it did to sleeping beauty 😂😭

that's a movie that is gonna passed his whole marketing campaign trying to hype you about something beloved from your childhood promising a coherent adult story about that beloved character/story. ( sleeping beauty/Barbie) but once in the cinema : this has nothing to do with the source material when they whole existence is based on. They put adult theme very weird such like Rape and patriarchal society ( wtf) but also they are extremely insulting piece of movie because the Writer that was thinking herself so smart and feminist end up not making any single research about the source material or just not caring and decided to put down original aurora. Original Barbie. Which is the whole contrary of feminism putting down an other women.

Barbie whole Script by not doing research ( or they just dont care ) is an infuriating story that end up very insulting and infuriating because yes Ken is not just Ken in the original version Kens has Job like barbie in the original version Ken and barbie have a family and are not in over girly world and Barbie is a sweet girl very cool and feminist when you learn about her.

Conclusion : yes Barbie is anti men propaganda if you Change source material that was not belittle man and you belittle man. Then that means yes you are not being feminist you are hating on men.

Except the screenwriter no one , literally no , literally not any single soul on earth has associated Ken with a "nice guy". and literally no one no one was thinking «  Barbie hate Ken and is a bitch » literally no one take « barbiland » for a matriarchal world but a cute place. And really no one no one has associated Barbie with things like patriarchal matriarchal. so barbie and ken hate each others and are gonna learn to only be Ken and only Barbie. and to enjoy your womanhood and Menhood you need to be separated ! you cannot love someone nope sorry !

We can have an idea of their relationship based on toys story and barbie cartoon :

Barbie is a very cool friendly girl that is doing plenty different jobs not because it’s give a sort of power over man but because she just like being a doctor a lawyer an astronaut and Ken that’s her boyfriend or just best friend sometimes !! he also have job he is very cool. She can appreciated her womanhood and her boyfriend Because Ken is a healthy guy he is not an Asshole and has no problem with her doing what she wants he doesn’t feel his manhood is threatened and he is hot. ( really I have watch cartoon moments they have a lot of chemistry and are fun together) Ken is cool guy. Barbie is very cool guy. But to know that you need to get yourself interest into Ken and barbie ! even in toy story their interaction are very fun ! they are very likeable couple ( well in my opinion). 😊

Original Barbie and Ken are fun very healthy very cool Duo. And with them there is no «  just Barbie » and just «  Ken » because they are before being love interest BEST FRIEND.

By by ignorance and lack of respect Barbie took the healthiest coolest couple on pop culture to wrote a very hateful story that put apart Ken and Barbie who are originally best friend before being lovers when Barbie was already feminist. just like how maleficent put a story even less feminist that sleeping beauty by tearing apart Aurora and the fairies when the fairies were already Feminist.

III- Same Accident that With Maleficent :

Maleficent passed her whole time insulting the fairies when Flora was name in 1959 After Walt mom.

Barbie passed her whole time insulting Ken when Ken was name after Ruth Son Keneth Handler

Even worst : really sad !

Flora died very tragically from a gas accident in 1939. "due to a gas leak in the house the two brothers had recently purchased for her" Walt accidentally feel responsible of his mother death and name in 1959 Flora afer her.😞

Kenneth Handler died very tragically from a tumor that was rumor after also to be possibly AIDS diagnostic in 1994 when Ruth will deceased 8 years after him in 2002.😞

Behind Flora and Ken there is a part of the sorrow of a Son and a Mother.☹️

To finish We could have the two most genuinely feminist movie of the whole galaxy of movie with original Sleeping beauty and Barbie adapt for adult but it’s never gonna happened because authors put down an other woman « not enough feminist » and decided therefore they should not care about the original material and end up just being a feminist hating on men movie.

I think I belong to small minority that didn’t like it 😅
