I made someone genuinely laugh today.

Its was just a small note i wrote on our project, a little comment from me to me, i didnt think anyone would see it

I didnt expext it, the laugh came out of no where, but it bought a smile to our faces and i got this wierd proud feeling

It will be nice to maybe feel that again

i always get a little sad when people tell me they like scollace from just my fan art and haven't checked out any of the source material because like nothing i make is going to ever fully represent their dynamic and the joy of shipping to me is really engaging with the canon material and going crazy over breaking down the crumbs of content. and it's a nice comic series! even just watching the anime you're missing out on a lot without context from the comics.

so i guess for the record for anyone who's interested but don't know where to start, /especially/ if you're just here for roommate yaoi. start with the comics. it's the most "scollace-heavy" and it's only 6 books. starting with the anime would probably leave you really confused on why anyone ships them (or what's going on if this is your first exposure to scott pilgrim media) the movie is a fine entrance piece also, imho. like it lets you in on the dynamics between each character and the general plot (even though the characterization is pretty boiled down, but hey a lot of shots are 1:1 to the comics so that's fun.) but yeah. don't let my silly gay drawings dictate your shipping takes. read the books yourself! they're fun and if you're a fresh adult that still feels perma-14 you'll probably find it fun too.

also they're stupidly domestic all the time

But what Crunchyroll is too chickenshit to tell you is that this is actually omegaverse BL. Masaki faces social prejudice because he is an omega. He carried that baby inside his cis male mpreg belly.

I would actually kind of like the “becomes a doctor and takes over Leslie’s clinic” story…for Damian.

NOT because I think it would be ~ethical~ or idk whatever-the-fuck.

I just really love the concept of Damian having this “I HAVE A BIG IMPORTANT DESTINY” backstory/lineage/bloodline …

…SON OF THE BAT, and all that jazz…

But when he connects with Gotham and the people in it—because Batman should be connected to the people he’s protecting—Damian realizes that he doesn’t actually WANT “his” destiny.

And it’s not about rejecting Batman or his father or his mother or anything like that, but instead about taking what he’s learned and what they’ve given him and shaping it to fit himself.

(or normal for him.)#so during the *day*—maybe one of his ‘people he is friendly with’ has some mundane bad thing happen to them and dies.#like idk maybe an old lady friend has a heart attack and dies.#what do you do when there isn’t an enemy to fight?#just ‘move on’? isn’t the whole reason they do what they do predicated on his father NOT accepting that he should ‘just move on’?#anyway there would also be metacommentary about the nature of comics and that…#…you don’t really have control about what happens after your series or after your run.#or even what happens to a character YOU create.

Shadow is antisocial and gets overstimulated when several people are talking at once, but still cares for the well-being of his companions

Knuckles likes it when Rouge compliments him

Tails decks out his lab in the Christmas spirit for the holiday season

Omega likes rocks (for the purpose of destroying other robots)

Knuckles considers gift cards to be practical and enjoys chili dogs like Sonic does

Omega may not realize he is a robot and also friends with Amy and the rest (?)

One time Sonic drew a face on the back of Eggman's head with marker, then took a selfie with Tails behind Eggman's back

Amy has several robot friends

Angel Island may or may not have fallen into the ocean?

Rouge is still trying to steal the Master Emerald, surprise 😂

Shadow didn't teleport very far away from the group (seeing as he heard the chaos ensue when Knuckles realized Rouge had stolen the M.E.) so he was possibly eavesdropping/spying on the whole gift exchange 😂

Shadow and Tails seem to be on good terms (finally lol)
