Replaying SMT V because I couldn’t get the idea of an Ailment build being viable (if not ideal) out of my head and I was able to beat the funny lvl 99 Abscess first try???

#technically this NG+ #But because I was changing my build I couldn’t reincarnate #meaning no high level essences nor my stocks of balms and such #I’m focusing on a Mag/Luck Ailment build but I see a Phys/Ailment as viable too with skills like Blight and Dark Sword #Profaned Land is the GOAT of this build btw #Even aside from being Dark ie Insta-Death with high enough Luck #the Poison Proc + Poison Adept + A Phys Demon with Venom Chaser means enemies get WASHED a lot of the time #early game was ROUGH but now I feel surprisingly comfortable #like I was SO shocked with how smooth the lvl 99 Abscess went like #When I did a straight up Magic build last time I had to get up to 70+ to do it #Even with Phys/Almighty I needed to be that high AND have Murakumo #this build is just kinda juice I guess #smt V #Shin Megami Tensei V #nahobino #ailment build #Makajama is so clutch with high luck it almost always hits #and that’s the motto of this build #it just has to hit once and we’re in #this abscess btw sewed the seeds of Ailment build being viable with the Poisma from the slime doing up to like 200-300 damage with lvl diff #this is also all in an effort to make Chaotic Will a real danger if I can beat Demifiend that is #which the strat is to seal him as much as possible and my Makajama has been hittin a lot sooooo #shin megami tensei

So okay, (I'm bad at English so, I don't thinks this might be well understod but, please excuse it :'u) this actually came from me watching TOH while eating so.

Just think of it, where all Teyvat's knows about this mystic and graceful creature that is always near the Traveler and their little rare pixie. They know that a unknown creature even above their gods is traveling with the (far to nice) foreign.

They don't know how they look, they don't know how they act or even how they sound like, but they can feel them. A warm hug filled with curiosity and dearly affection.

Maybe they won't make a whole new religion for that new god, but they might pray them instead of their own Archons for very important wishes. Hoping for an instant, you'll hear them.

And even the Archons are cool with it!!! Since the Traveler came to Teyvat, everyone feels that love biting their skin in a childish way.

They imagine you like a benevolent and playful deity, a charming and elegant being that helps even with the most harmful missions, just for save them.

Just for make them smile again.

And there's you! A (probably) neurdivergent queer kid who might be not fully North American and is obsessed with fantasy and writing fanfics about your parental figures.

Thinking about how communication was a revolution for wars and how, normally, the side with the best comms won and how team bolas has been going at it.

Like, yes they coordinate log in time though I'm p sure that's mostly for morale, they themselves said that "logging in alone were the worst moments of my life" and so they've decided to try and log in together to avoid that

They try and keep quiet when carre is saying smt or when Cellbit is translating for him

Philza doesn't order them around but instead encourages them to play to their strengths

Carre while not super talkative or anything keeps an eye on what's being said and his mere presence makes the team want to try to win a little at least

Then we have the four holders of the morale which is Slime, Jaiden, Baghera and Foolish, they try (and succeed) to keep things light and keep the stress levels low

Reminiscing about when Krishna's portrayal in SMT4A got in trouble

Whether Rajan Zed's outrage (or even the necessity of reporting it) is justified or not, it provided a hilarious comment section for sure:

For those that played and understood the observation themes behind the SMT4 duology, there's a nuanced view on the interpretation of religions in the games in which they shouldn't necessarily be seen as the 'raw' look of how they were in the scriptures but a 'biased version' of certain groups of people that might not even be the originators or followers of the faith in question.

Of course, industry trends and favoritism due to Japan being the dev team's country of origin definitely play on what design elements and what kind of personality gets picked for myth figures in Megaten.

The discussion does provide an interesting insight on the aspect that the franchise does have its habit of putting myths and gods of different levels of worshipping on a blender for the sake of being superficially used as tools for the player (which I guess comes with monster-catching game genre territory where titles present themselves with the prospect of monster x human friendships but they are essentially glorified cockfights). Isn't this the point behind what Dagda wanted to convey in his route even?
