This is how I feel Zero would met player HAHHA, they werent prepared to face an adult human per se XD.

Au belongs to @asamary!

I am going to rant a bit about it under the cut.

He uses they/he pronouns

He is slightly smaller than catnap

So Zero was just in a intership for a short period before he found the truth and wanted to out it but they got him and turn him into a toy! When he found the truth he met the prototype but his fascination of gadgets and mechanism was stronger than feeling fear XD

He can produce energy via his emotions and on his own will if he is in good shape, he met the critters soon after, he was in charge of the time for movies or shows and story telling. His knowledge in mechanism made him be able to have more dinamic storytelling using tricks with lights and such.

Zero then loses their temper electrocuting a scientist not on purpose trying to stop them for taking more kids, in wich the scientist take notice and take him to the labs in wich he got experimented more and amplifying his production of electricity.

He then kept being experimented while being plugged to the facility providing electricity to a portion of it. He became a living generator.

The prototype then offered them to be part of the hour of joy by the promise of revenge and freedom and no more pain, he accepted and shut the facility down from electricity and closed the doors from many places trapping everyone inside.

Now this is where the the au and canon takes different paths

Since in canon Zero gets deceived by the Prototype and was kept as a generator for the prototype (basically he will still be used as a generator by the prototype) the prototype would carve a mouth in the shape of a smile on Zero so he can feed. Zero dislikes him after being betrayed.

In the au since the prototype just killed the scientists and the bad people, Zero is very loyal to the prototype and helps them finding the more bad people by hacking security cameras or websites, but he stays in the town most of the time.

In the au Zero lives in the basement of the aparment the critters live in (if they are in a building and not just a singular house lmao) He produces the energy of a portion of the city, if he doesnt their electricity would go hirewire, he just plugs himself at night and acumulates the electricity in the generators.

If there is a storm and ther ei s apower outage he can easily feed the building, you just need to wake him up and tell him about it.

Zero has 6 minicritters of themselfves in wich some are patrolling and some are around him, they are like security cameras in a way

They go around fixing a lot of stuff around town specially electronics,

He likes to create gadgets, toys or artwork from metal, thats why he would go to the dupmster zone to search for parts and bring them home, they find admiration how the prototype can dissamble an object to create another so he looks up to the prototype like a teacher.

He is usually in the background doing mundane fixes there and there, because he was isolated and the only contact was when they experimented on him, he gets veyr anxious around adult humans but with time you can see he is just a silly guy who adores affection he just doesnt know how to handle it yet.

I like to think they are the guy whom people go when something gets broken or need assitance with.

I really couldnt stop thinkning about the au, its 2 am but I probs forgot things.

If ya dont mind I shall keep doing lil comics about this au with my oc in it qwq

Some fun facts:

He dislikes being touched in the back

The Prototype helped zero gain a mouth and get unplugged from the cables since it was a tedious and careful task.

The minicriters have different shapes (i forgot to put the x body marks on the square anthena minicrtitter :()

Simple shape on anthena= complex shape on body and vice versa.

He can speak human language very soflty but it feels off for him specially if he talks for to long it starts to hurt. (He normally talks in gibberish like puppycat from the show :D)

The stronger the emotion the more energy he can produce

If there are tvs plug on them or he touches them, he can comunicate with those using memories and replicating the voice from that memory (is like doing a collage of different voices and images in a tv) he can also project their dreams on tvs

He is very light

The scarf/coat is attached to them like part of their body.

They are protective of their friends he isnt very strong but will fight for them

He gets sometimes ghost pains in their back, the scale of pain depends of the day

ANYWAYS thats it me thinks I shall make lil comics about all the facts and other stuff other times qwq

They have a hard time hidding how they really feel because the color their anthena, eyes and stars may change by how he feels

He tries to always stay calm and with right composure but he is actually very emotional, he just had learn how to manage the emotions

I have fallen down a rabbit hole for your Smiling Critter ARG and am now trapped with at least like… three OC’s made and more on the way.

But I quite curious on something. I was looking at the LOOOORE documents/posts you made and the lore about the electronic toys(like the Boogie Bots) being able to live by being recharged without the mist has got me thinking.

What would happen if a toy could basically upload itself onto a VHS or a computer through the same process. Could they just… kinda hightail it when in danger or are they connected to their body still?

first of all, 'm still processing the idea of my silly ARG/Au becoming a big part in this new fandom of the Smiling Critters, after all i started it with lil to none information of them (and... we still have lil info of them in canon, sad), so to know there's a lot of people really enjoying my work and even making Oc related to it make me excited!

Now, about your question, let's explain a lil more about the electronic toys.

For started, they have a brain that command the whole toy, but said brain is the only ''meat'' part on them, and it stay in a refrigerate container with Poppy serum, preventing the brain from rooting.

The poppy serum doesn't need to be change, but it need to stay refrigerate to keep the brain in good state, and the cooler system only work with energy, that's why they use batteries or get charged.

But that also mean that they aren't really ''coded'', so they don't have a way to connect themself to a electronic system, their minds don't work with numbers and symbols.

but they can learn to command the code in a computer system to used it, but just in the normal human way, like if someone learned to hack but without using their hands. Right, they can't be the matix, but thinks like hacking the doors when the gang is in need is enough.

Can we get fairytale-esk au of Law getting turned into a toad or bug or some kind of small critter, his crew/friends into inanimate objects like ricks and trees. As a curse to show him how little he is on the inside and that he will never be loved if he doesn't let himself be. It can be broken with an act of love, as in most fairy tales.

And he thinks it's a dumb idea to even try so he never does because most of those things are a trap. He tries in his own ways to lift the curse but is always unsuccessful.

Until one day, Luffy stumbles upon a talking critter and thinks it's the coolest thing ever. Law tries to run away from him but he's small and gets motion sickness from the man who carries him around all day while running around and generally being the most irresponsible human on earth. Law thinks that if Luffy doesn't get him killed, he might get Law killed. It's a horrible experience and he feels weak and small and overall a wreck of a person... But Luffy also laughs at the things he says and makes Law feel warm, he shows him things and places Law had never thought of appreciating until they were pointed out to him. And Luffy listens to him when he tells him he has to go back to where he was and doesn't laugh at him when he tells him about the inanimate objects who were his friends.

But he also leaves. When the next day Luffy doesn't come back, Law knows that it's true he is unlovable and will stay in this cursed form forever. But then Luffy does come back and explains where he's been in an enthusiastic way and Law listens and hates himself once he catches himself enjoying this person's company.

Eventually Luffy approaches him with the "how come you can talk" and Law explains the curse, to which Luffy laughs. In angers Law at first because, ok, rude. But then he says "If that's all it takes you should have told me sooner!" and grabs Law. The critter tries to warn him that he doesn't know if he won't get turned too when it's not actually love, but then He feels a kiss on the top of his head and then is looking at Luffy's bright smile with human eyes. At first he couldn't believe it, freezing in place but Luffy laughs going "Wow you're really tall, they should've turned you into a giraffe instead!" Which kind of pisses Law off because it's a stupid joke but before he could react, he gets knocked down by his friends, now in their original form hugging him and thanking him for staying with them through it all.

Law still wonders how Luffy could actually love someone like him for his personality none the less, but then he watches Luffy and he makes it look so effortless.

I have finally did it, i have draw all of the Smiling Psychopaths :'D very proud of myself! Also redesign the psychopaths logo, anyway, enjoy!

What is Smiling Psychopaths? It is a Smiling Critters AU that was created by @smiling-psychopaths but this AU is different, each Smiling Critters are living in different AU but their AUs are where this critter are evil and dark, think of this as Bad Sanses Au, if you know what i mean.

Twisted!Bubba Bubbaphant

Meet the leader of the Smiling Psychopaths, Twisted!Bubba Bubbaphant or what the others call him, Twisted! The intelligent but sadistic elephant critter in the group, torturing his own friends for his own satisfaction and the one who bring the evil version of his friends to join his evil group. He's also a scientist in the crew.

Mob!CatNap

Who would have thought that the once used to be our lovable and sleepy cat would be joining a mafia? Meet, Mob!CatNap or what the others call him, Mob! The boss of his own mafia and have done many illegal stuff but with all those crimes, he still being fashionable and polite! He have joined Twisted evil group and become a loyal member. He's the one who does the patrol or guarding the mansion.

Lovesick!Bobby BearHug

(Ignore the white lines–)

A sweet and motherly bear that looks like she won't hurt a fly, but don't be fool by her motherly aura because this bear have locked her own dear friends inside her house, punishing them if they dare disobey her rules! Introducing, Lovesick!Bobby BearHug or what the others call her, Lovesick! The loyal and the protective bear in the Psychopaths, she won't hesitated to kill you, quick or slow, if you dare harm her 'precious friends'. She's the therapist and the 'parent' figure in the crew, also a protector.

Slasher!DogDay

The once caring and the leader of the Smiling Critters have turned into a serial killer! Or what it call, Slasher! He have lost the caring and leadership inside him, only caring to satisfied his thirst for blood. Introducing, Slasher!DogDay or what the others call him, Slasher! The last member that join the Psychopaths. He owned many kind of blades or weapons to tortured his victim but his favorite one is a Bowie knife! Also a masochist. He also an expert on creating traps, like Lovesick.

Emotionless!CraftyCorn

No one know what exactly happened to her or why her emotions have vanished, walking like an empty shell with the lack of emotions. Truly a mystery but an intriguing one aswell! Meet Emotionless!CraftyCorn or what the others call her, Emotionless! A very mystery member, rarely appear whenever there's a meeting or any events, prefer to hidden in the shadow and it's no surprised she used her 'hiding in the dark' to her advantage to attack tresspassers. She still love to draw but for some reason, her paint seem to be from her victims blood... very interesting indeed.

Violent!KickinChicken

A friend that used to be so cool and out-going have become a ruthless and a very violent person, thanks to that shot in the head, really make him very easily to anger! Introducing, Violent!KickinChicken or what the others call him, Violent! A very loyal member in the Psychopaths but can be quite blunt without even thinking, causing some members to dislike him but this chicken doesn't really care. The leader of The Brutal Trio.

Poison!Hoppy Hopscotch

She's still an energetic and lively green rabbit but wait! Her energy have turn ten time higher and not only that, after being pushed into a dangerous chemicals, she have an electricity power and inside her body is fill with green poison that could kill you slow and very painful way and did i mention that her favorite weapon is her hammer? She calls it her 'Lucky Charm'. Meet Poison!Hoppy Hopscotch or what the others call her, Poison! A very energetic, fast-speaking and lastly an annoying member in the crew, she never stop moving, always causing troubles or chaos in her way. Her playing is very rough, no one can ever keep up except for her Psychopaths friends! A part of The Brutal Trio.

Corrupted!PickyPiggy

The first critter that Twisted ask to join his evil team. The once sweet and 'love to eat' friend have turn into something that is corrupted! She still love to eat but the food that she eat is meat, it can be any kind of meat especially if the meat is still bloody and fresh! Mhm, yum! Anyway, Introducing Corrupted!PickyPiggy or what the others call her, CP or Corrupted but mostly CP. A neutral chaotic member but very loyal to the crew, she does her job very well but would leave a mess when she finish with her mission, she's also the cook in the Psychopaths Mansion and a part of The Brutal Trio.

Ooh boy, that was a lot but i enjoy drawing and making headcanons of these evil silly! Anyway, i hope you guys enjoy this AU that was created a friend of mine! Now, goodbye *jumps out of the window*

So, did Smilling Critters really die out here? Wouldn't there be some kind of way for them to still be alive, or for the prototype to revive them? It's because I would like to see them here in your AU, mainly I would like to see CatNap apologize to them and have an emotional meeting with all of them.

AAAAAAAAA, thank you so much!!! I'm glad you like my AU!

I have been going on and off about letting the other Smiling Critters have a permanent death in my AU or not, but I think that for the "main version" of the AU they will be gone. Permanent type of gone.

In my own headcanons, PickyPiggy ate the remains of CraftyCorn, Bubba Bubbaphant and KickinChicken. I still don't know if I prefer her to have been so hungry she ended up turning on her friends, or if an accident happened and she was so hungry she ate their bodies. Either way, she also tried to attack Bobby, with Hoppy and Dogday stopping it from happening and leaving her behind. Hoppy died during an accident while the trio was running from Catnap, and Bobby died soon after. Again, I don't know how she died: Either a broken heart from losing so many of her friends, or from a critical injury from trying to save Dogday.

I think most of their bodies if not all of them were claimed by the Prototype, so in theory they could be brought back. In practice, however, all of this started because Elliot Ludwig couldn't accept the fact his daughter would be gone and desperately wanted her to have a chance to live. Angel and Prototype both know Dogday and Catnap miss their friends, and the duo's ever-increasing guilt is only going to get worse as they process their trauma, but bringing their friends back from the dead is not the way to do it. Deep down Angel wants to try that, but they can't and shouldn't. And it hurts, yes, but they can't allow the cycle to continue.

... ON THE OTHER HAND. Good God do I wish I could bring these dumb critters back from the dead, or at least make it so that Catnap trapped everyone/sent them to the Playtime Co's equivalent of the shadowrealm or maximum security prison, and Angel has to save them and stitch them back together during chapter 4. OR, EVEN, everyone discovering the other critters were still alive when the authorities go in to investigate the factory and find them very malnourished, but still alive.

IN MY OPINION Picky would have a hard time eating, thanks to her trying to eat her own friends. She goes vegan because even the smell of meat makes her stomach curl, and she decides to try gardening around the isolated house. She can't look most of the other toys in the face due to trauma, but she's trying so hard.

Kickin picked beef with both Mommy Long Legs and Kissy Missy. MLL finds him to be a sort of "annoying little brother", and Kissy is always making an >:( expression with some of the things Kickin tries to do. His way of coping is via trying to fill himself with hobbies. He gets diagnosed with ADHD and surprises no one.

Bobby has abandonment issues, becomes Long Legs' and Kissy's best friend, and now they NEVER leave each other's side. Bobby tries romance books and movies, only to realize what really soothes her anxious mind is, ironically, horror. And Doom. Lots of Doom. She also takes responsibility in helping take care of the younger toys, and I think she's also the first to fully accept Catnap's apologies. She hugs him and he becomes close to crying, then she starts sobbing and they're both hugging each other and crying. Her right arm needs extensive treatment due to her getting it badly injured, though.

Craftycorn has a 50/50 chance of becoming an Youtuber or influencer and no one can't change my mind, girl is the queen of MySpace /j. But being serious, she, much like Bobby, has abandonment issues, but is also TERRIFIED of the dark thanks to Playtime. It also takes her a long time to go back into drawing, and an even longer time to pick up any red pencils. It reminds her of blood. This however does end with her finding out drawing horrifying creatures helps her cope with her anxiety! Second to forgive Catnap and acquires an habit of making outfits and trinkets for the other toys. Also she has to wear braces on her hands and is always grumpy when her hands (hooves?) start hurting.

Bubba... My baby. My poorest boy. Mentally speaking, he seems to be the most well-adjusted, until he finds out he keeps forgetting what he reads or studies. He tries to play it cool, to be a helping hand to poor Dogday and Angel, tries to learn everything from the other toys so he can start making plans on what he wants to do for this future, but he just. Can't think about a future. And a few months later it's 3AM and he can't stop crying and chewing on his own pillows, and he feels awful and he keeps forgetting things and why does every little thing bothers him SO much, his recovery has been going so well, why is it happening? And then the flashbacks happen, and oooh boy, he does NOT escape the PTSD and burnout diagnosis. Much like Craftycorn he's extremely grumpy about his symptons, but Bobby and Crafty are trying to help him be kinder to himself.

Hoppy would probably need at least an year or two to physically recover from her injuries. She hates the fact her legs got so badly hurt during her time at Playco, and for the first few weeks she's grumpy, very easily startled, and very mean to others. It takes her the longest to even look at Catnap without wanting to murder him. Catnap sometimes wishes she had never started to forgive him, because now the only one left to forgive him is himself. Also I think Hoppy is the second one hit with the ADHD diagnosis, surprising no one.

Also. Ahem. All of them are besties with Miss Delight, who helps some of them try to understand Catnap more. Our big feline is constantly worrying about hurting his friends again and his guilt is eating him from the INSIDE OUT, but at least Dogday is there to help him. Speaking of which!

Don't tell anyone but Dogday has been smoking and drinking. He's 21, tired, and therapy is a long process. He thinks he's hiding well from everyone else (he can't be a bad example to them!) until, again, 3AM hits and he sees Mommy Long Legs smoking and Catnap coming back from the Prototype's barn smelling like alcohol. So all three of them stare at each other like "...", until they hear something falling down inside.

Surprise surprise, it's a drunk Angel.

THANKFULLY. These bad habits will eventually go away as, again, they recover from the trauma and start finding healthier coping mechanisms. But until then everything is MESSYYYYYY

... Okay now I'm once again reconsidering the idea of bringing them back from the dead or not rip-

The Tsaritsa’s darling (Normalized Yandere AU)

part two to this post about the yandere harbingers and their darlings (link)

(A/N- the main character in this mini fic is not a reader character like the other darlings in this series, but he will appear as a side character in other stories in this series)

Hidden away in the forests of Teyvat, hidden away from any particular nation. The woods were beautiful, lovely, green leaves and a rainbow of flowers, but as you got deeper the woods changed as it with the season, fading into a winter wonderland, snow, ice, and winter critters of all sorts. There in the woods is a mansion, and sitting in an the, run down mansion were two figures, sitting at a table, a chess set in between them that they played. The man was beautiful, long, silver, braided hair, he was dressed in finery of silvers, blacks, whites and blues that paired well with his light blue eyes. He was an extremely beautiful figure, but extremely week, a cane leaned against the table and he kept a handkerchief in hand because every so often he was sent into a coughing fit. This sickness didn’t worry the woman he was playing with though, except the occasional blood that came with it.

“My Lord, shouldn’t you be getting your rest? It is getting late after all.” The woman asked, moving her knight on the board. She folder her hands and waited for his response both in the game and in words. The man chuckled and moved one of his bishops.

“I should, I really should, but with recent abduction of the Actress I do not think my body will let me no matter how much it may need to.” The man stood, grabbing his cane as he did so. He had a heavy limo in his right leg, and his breathing was incredibly labored, so ill despite looking so young. He stood at the frosted over window, looking out at it before glancing back at the woman with a smile. “Also please, there is no need for titles when it’s just us, call me Andrei.”

“Very well, Andrei.” The woman replied, her gaze following the man.

“Now any updates from my favorite Historian?” Andrei question, his gaze going back onto the snowy landscape behind the glassy surface. The woman chuckled at the nickname before standing up as well, her heels clicking against the wooden floor as she came to stand beside the man. Unlike her sickly friend her eyes remained fixed on him, not on the snow outside.

“My other contact in Fontaine has left as well, she had to run in order to avoid the Knave.” She answered, looking at Andrei’s face for any reaction but none came. “Along with that out contacts from Mondstadt are with her, along with two more potential contacts from Snezhnaya.”

“Any ties to the Fatui?”

“Yes, I believe the both of them were being pursued by harbingers, nine and eleven respectively.” The woman pressed her lips thinly together in thought, slightly bothered that she was unable to get a read on the white haired man. “They both have visions, Cryo and Anemo.”

“You needn’t worry so much. If they have already been accepted by the others, they are accepted by me.” A smile came across the woman’s face at Andrei’s words. “But if I may ask where are they now?”

“They are making their way to Sumeru, presumably to meet with the Medic and Hunter...” The woman pauses on her words, chewing on her bottom lip for a moment. “Andrei, if I may give my observation, we’re unknowingly being trapped in a corner. They don’t know about our alliance but they are trapped us like a changed animal, if they find out we’ll loose, you’ll loose… I… I don’t want to go back to how things were.”

“They say cornered animals fight the fiercest, so let’s show them how we play.” Andrei finally smiled, which only gave the woman a look of shock.

“Andrei…”

“Let them know that they haven’t won yet.” Andrei walks over back to his chair and sits down, reaching over to pick up one of his chest pieces. “What Gnoses do they have yet to obtain?”

“Just that of the Pryo Archon, but I believe Capitano has thrown his hat into the arena of Natlan.” The woman watched Andrei fiddle with the chess piece in his hand before he suddenly slammed it down on the board, startling the Historian.”

”Then let us get it before them.” These words shocked his friend, and while she stumbled, looking for the right words to say, but he just smiles at her. “And perhaps we can finally beat them in this game.”

“My Lord-”

“Andrei.” He corrected. There was a muttered apology as Andrei’s eyes scanned the chess board. “After all I would like my gnosis back.”

The last piece in this game, the former Cryo Archon, who lost his throne in the Archon War. His power was stripped from his as he crushed under the heel of other gods, he was too gentle for his own good. That’s when the Tsaritsa gave him false kindness, wanting him nothing more to keep him as a plaything. He lived as her toy for many a century while he watched the Fatui be formed, the rest of Teyvat thinking he was dead while he was only being hidden within the cold halls of the Zapolyarny Palace.

When he lost all hope that’s when he met the innocent eyes of the Historian, Pierro’s darling. The two became the others only friend, then the Actress, Colombina’s darling, came along and their trapped duo became a trio. But in their captivity he had to watch the innocence of the Historian’s eyes leave her after being exposed to the secrets that the Fatui keeps locked away, his friend was breaking and he couldn’t handle it. So with an idea of a plan he used the last of his power from his archon days he was able to freeze the palace, temporarily at least. The three of them escaped, not daring to look back, the Actress went back to Fontaine but the former archon was severely weakened by the use of his power and was sent into a sickly state. So while their friend went off to see Teyvat again the Historian found a place to stay hidden, looking after the weak god and becoming his eyes and ears to Teyvat. Over time they found others like them and the knew if they didn’t do something these others would share the same fate, the soldier, the medic, the mother, the knight, the ballerina, and so on. So they began this secret game against the Fatui, stopping their plans, by cutting the threads one by one.

The Shadows of The Critters

Today, I will be going over each of the Smiling Critters and what their shadows are in my AU. But let's make sure everyone here is at least close to the same page.

Before we begin, I am going make this clear, these shadows will be connected to some bad imagery...Mostly Dogday cause of course it is him. While some of these may not be bad, I am still under my own opinion to make sure everyone knows what they are getting into just in case. With that said, this post will have a few topics that can trigger some people, as minor as they are. So keep that in mind just in case.

Now then, what is a Shadow? A shadow is basically the suppressed self. These can be some dark thoughts, your fears. Basically, they are a part of yourself that you don't want to face. Maybe a truth you reject, a darknparts of yourself you despise, maybe even truama that is unresolved. There is a lot more to it than that, much of which, I am not smart enough to explain in an easy way to understand, but that is the basic idea of what shadows are in a nutshell.

The critter to be hit by our truama beam will be our favorite split dog, Dogday. A prisoner of fear. The wardens of which will be anyone and everyone he makes a connection with. His shadow body always gains a chain whenever he gets close to a person, always threatening to tear off the part that it is connected to his body. Now, his body is covered in the wounds cause by the chains pulled by those that hurt him before, who normal Dogday would call a friend, and bandages to help cover them up from the world to prevent it from seeing them all.

Next up on the choping block is our boy Kickin. Driven by the lost of his dear sister, his shadow is driven by a deep rage that refuses to end. Carrying a bag of souls that he wishes to end when given that chance to do such a thing. Always angry, always fighting, always hurting those that would hurt others. His soul demands payment for what they took from him.

Hoppy's drive to win is admirable, but her desire to win was also a short coming for her. Her tunic was almost a sickening yellow with a golden laurel wreath adorned on her head, all while scars of many an injury covered her body. Her calm mask hid her deep wrath whenever she gets a place unfit for royalty. She must obtain victory for people to stay. No one likes a failure after all.

Picky always gives, so she never has the urge to take. She fears how much she will take. Her shadow knows the fear the most. A painfully thin zombie compared to her healthy plump self, she offers parts of herself so others must not starve or suffer due to her selfishness.

Bubba sacrificed much to get to the position he was at. He sacrificed his integrity when he made that deal with the teacher, he sacrificed his old friends so he could concentrate on getting a good job, and he even turned his back on his parents wishes, purely because he knew what they wanted deep down. His life became mechanical, losing bits of his soul as he continued down this path. An unfeeling, logic based robot. That was what he was. His shadow proved such a thing. What was once human was now gone, for it would lead to the best future, or so he thought.

Catnap was evil. He knew that. Why he was, remained a mystery to him. He chooses to look away and instead goes to live a happy life, to pretend he didn't do anything wrong, but he was not a good cat. His shadow knew that. A blindfold over two very dark, very evil eyes, a blade always in hand to make him pay for the crime he has committed. If no one knows you did the crime, the only one to become judge, jury, and executioner will be what little good rests in your soul.

Bobby dreads the idea of being alone. She has done many things to get people to stay. Money, crime, even nearly hurt others, not that many people know that. Her soul was trapped in a show without an end, a puppet forced to dance and do what others demand. Strings holding her up always, despite her wanting to be free and do what she wants, she was forced to move the way others would be the most entertained by. A ballerina stuck in a dance of sorrow and pain, if only to insure another day with others around her.

Finally, there is Craftycorn. A great artist, and more than enough to prove that in many of her pieces... but what is it all for? When she was gone, what would these pictures mean? Her shadow's appearance says it all. In time, a statue would crack, and moss would eventually grow over it, parts now chipped away from time. A living statue slowly being destroyed over time, it's maker's name lost, and now without a legacy.

All these shadows torment and equally are tormented by their real-world counterparts. May it be because of lack of closure or their desire to overcome this issue of their's bug can't for some reason or another. In time, though, the shadows return to a much better form and heal with the normal versions of themselves.

Hey y’all! Meet our new Underwest characters!! And the au!

To introduce them: Underwest is a Wild West au! These monsters were never trapped behind a barrier, and lived in the deserts and plains of the surface along with humans. Conditions were harsh for every one, but they made do, creating a community of hardy resourceful monsters and humans alike!

Like the name suggests, this au is cowboy themed with a few twists! There are hardly any mammals from this au. The hot desert sun is too much for most furred critters, and certain animals like sheep, wolves and horses never evolved. But other animal species thrived! Namely the reptiles.

In Underwest there are three big domesticated animal groups: herding lizards, raptors and terror birds.

Herding lizards: there are dozens of breeds, but they’re all mostly the same. A six legged desert lizard raised for meat because of its passive nature and the fact that it can eat almost anything and survive off of little water

Raptors: domesticated and wild, not to be confused with the ancient dinosaurs. These are quadruple lizards as large as a horse with long thick legs and the energy to run for hours. They’re carnivorous and domesticated ones are used as herding animals and riding animals

Terror birds: MASSIVE carnivorous birds of prey with wingspans the size of cars. And the bane of every Underwest monster. They snatch up monsters, people and livestock and have crossed over into ebott after the crash as well. They can be tamed however by particularly skilled individuals and can even be taught to take a saddle and fly with riders.

The Underwest monsters don’t have royals as there was never a war between them and the humans in the past. Monsters and humans were divided into traveling family units, chasing water sources and only settling during rainy seasons. They’re believed to be closely related to the farm AUs due to many of the Underwest monsters having earth affinities.

Meet partner and rowdy!!

Partner (Underwest sans)

Partner is a stocky skeleton monster, aged 68 with soft lilac magic. He stands at 5’7 and has a strong thick muscular ecto that he worked hard to achieve. He has a bit of a gap between his front two teeth.

Partner is a very serious monster, he rarely smiles and hearing a laugh from him is like seeing gold fall out of the sky. If duty was a soul trait, he’d have it. He always keeps his promises, even if it kills him. While he can be grumpy and temperamental, he has a soft spot for the gentle and innocent, and is a good protector to any of his loved ones.

Partner works as the sheriff in Goldenvalley, hunting down criminals.as there’s only one police station and it’s a lot of land to cover, he works very hard at his job. On the side he also trains raptors for a bit of extra G.

He’s a very clever fighter which makes up for his rather average magic power. This is reflected in his magic weapon, a whip that when cracked, makes a loud booming noise to frighten. The whip itself doesn’t do much damage

His special ability is that he can see both up and forward. Like he has eyes on the top of his head. When he consciously thinks about it, partner can see the sky even though he may be looking down or forward.

Things he loves: leather goods and clothes, garlic, rustic belt buckles and hat accessories, artisan breads, hunting, telling campfire stories, horror novels, axe throwing, the color blue, clover flowers, country music (go figure)

Rowdy (Underwest papyrus)

Rowdy is a lanky skeleton monster aged 27 with baby blue magic. He has a think but trim ecto and is always covered in scrapes and bruises. He has a bit of a gap between his front two teeth

Rowdy is a cheerful, eager to please and clumsy fellow. He’s been rather sheltered by his mother for most of his life, so some things that may be common sense to most he hasn’t learned yet. He wears his heart on his sleeve and is a delight to be around with how affectionate he is. However he’s very gullible, making partner very protective of him.

Rowdy is partners apprentice, learning the art of training raptors. He’s not partners brother like the others but is actually his younger cousin. Their mothers were sisters. Rowdy only recently left home this last year and a half, so he’s a bit behind in the practical work compared to other monsters his age

Rowdy has very explosive magic which shows in his magical weapon, a boomerang that literally explodes on contact. Unfortunately if it doesn’t hit its target, ot explodes on him when it comes back. He’s working on fixing that

Rowdy’s special ability is double jump! When he’s in the air, he can kick off exactly once to get a second jump!

Things he loves: comedy podcasts and shows, parsnips, the color yellow, fun patterned bandanas, horseback riding, exploring new areas, pop music, line dancing, stew, orange blossoms

Side characters

Belle: the mother of rowdy and the aunt of partner, bell is a skeleton monster aged 400 exactly. Having lost her sister and husband before the crash due to sickness and a bad rain year, she was extremely protective of rowdy. Even after the crash she sheltered him, causing him to run in order to accept the apprenticeship partner offered. Partner and Belle had a huge fight over this and aren’t on speaking terms anymore

Robber: Underwest undyne, and despite the hilarious nickname, shes no criminal but is in fact another sheriff of Goldenvalley, and has a friendly rivalry with partner. She’s still new in her job and goes to him for pointers a lot as well.

Prairie: Underwest alphys, and partners closest friend. She breeds raptors and goes to him to train all of them. She owns a cute plot of land that she raises goats on as her primary source of income. Breeding raptors is a long and tedious job, definitely not something one can easily live off of.

Well 1, love your work! This AU is so cute and full of potential trauma it makes my mind flow with ideas... one of them being REALLY trauma heavy that has me in a vice grip rn...

So anyways- your post where you showed how in your AU catnap removed dogdays legs... were the murders of the hour in the same way? Because I just- Imagining Catnap dropping an anvil on some poor soul and them getting crushed slowly after the initial impact while catnap watches in apathy- has not left my mind. It's just Saw death traps at that point.

And about the whole "Going back to the cartoon" thing catnap wanted... would that not be suicide? A fully fledged, free thinking being going back to being with a world bound by a script and it's existence only continues if it's makers wish for it seem like killing yourself with extra steps. Again- this Au has so much Trauma potential I just HMMMMMMMMMMM-

And Oc's... well who do you want to hear about? I got a few lying around... well only 2 poppy playtime ones at the moment (and like one is kinda hard coded for another AU)... not to mention all the ones I have not drawn up yet that lie within my mind.

You have no idea how much I've had to edit the scripts and drawings I make for the blog, because I go too dark too quickly for this toon AU.

I'm gonna go on a long ramble. Bear with me.

Like - there's this one script I still need to rewrite. But the premise is that Angel and DogDay are in Home Sweet Home, striking up a conversation - though Angel is injured.

Angel: ...Do you ever just... Stop? *[Angel eyes DD, as DD is in the process of sniffing like an actual dog, walking along the walls]* DD: What do you mean? *[He pauses to look at them, his tail wagging]* Angel: This. *[They gesture to his whole self, which causes him to finally fall on to the ground with a yip]* Angel: We're being hunted by a monster, close to death, and you're acting all... *Looney*. DD: That's what I do, Angel. I was brought here to make people feel happy. Safe. *[His tail begins to wag again as he makes his way to Angel]* Angel: Great. *[Unamused]* At least we'll die laughing. DD: You know, laughter is stronger than you'd think. *[A little "Uh-huh" from Angel.]* No matter how bad things get, you just have to laugh! Even if you feel like you've lost all hope, unsure about tomorrow... Not knowing what you did wrong, wondering how the world collapsed around you... *[DD grabs on to an ear, his smile turning more upsetting. The background getting darker. Maybe emphasize some of the in game model]* DD: Knowing that deep down, it's your fault for their deaths and already missing your chains because you deserve them --- *[He immediately switches back, sunshine and smiles]* DD: A laugh can chase away the gloom! Angel: *[Disturbed]* ...You want to talk about it, Pup?

So, they're all thoroughly traumatized, that's for sure!

I plan on drawing a comic that takes place during the Hour Of Joy, but yes. CatNap has killed some humans with falling anvils, endless pits, trapping them in repeating hallways until they go insane. Humans cannot survive the same punishment a toon takes, you know. >u>

But you know, he's not entirely heartless. Just angy. A poor lil meow meow

Oh, it's just CatNap being unable to cope, being ripped out of his comfort zone and never being able to adjust with the horrible things going on in Playcare. Though the Critters in this AU are not the same as the In-Game Bigger Bodies, there's still been human experiments. CatNap would much rather take scripts and limited freedom over what he was given... You are right though. That is one of the themes I wanted to try and hit with him. Especially if I follow through with an ending of Angel adopting the Critters. Then the aftermath of the trauma can really sink in.

I saw the combination au(the one where all the aus are the same person) from November and now I'm thinking about how the boys the critters modeled after would react to it

I'd imagine one similar to the Tsum reactions

Hmm considering that the pets are rather territorial critters, they probably wouldn't have the best of relationships. See, the pets have modeled themselves after these people specifically so that Prefect no longer has to interact with these humans. But the humans keeps coming back, so they get into a variety of shenanigans to drive them away.

Riddle thought pet Riddle was dignified, but then he was lassoed to the ceiling, so now they both glare at each other. Riddle could very well blast him away with magic, but he will not stoop that low. Ace and Deuce have a mutual grumpiness going on, on the account pet Ace and Deuce used toy cars to trip them and lock them in a closet. Again, won't hurt them but they will probably trap them under a bucket or box. Trey does not allow pet Trey in the kitchen or anywhere near his food, and Cater is extremely protective of his phone on the account of pet Cater throwing his phone down a second story window.

Leona refuses to allow pet Leona around him and is highly tuned to his presence. Will not hesitate to blow him away with a bit of wind magic so he doesn't turn to sand and blow it right into his mouth. Ruggie straight up leaves anytime he sees pet Ruggie because he steals his stuff, and Jack has taken to carrying around a wipe or a blow drier because pet Jack will always bring moisture to his tail. Uncomfortable.

Azul is cautious around pet Azul, on the account on how easily he weaponizes his tears and takes his wallet. Jade and Floyd obviously like to tease the little seafolk Jade and Floyd. They tend to leave with bite marks on their fingers because they got too close. Entirely their fault in this case.

Jamil is a little cautious around Naga Jamil, honestly. Not out of any sort of fear, he doesn't mind being in the same room as him it's just, uncanny, having something with your face on it. It's weird. That and he doesn't forget he's dealing with a snake. Probably has venom in there.

Vil isn't bothered at all by Pet Vil, if anything, he's entertained by Siren Vil's attempts at always grabbing your attention just when Vil needs yours. Well, he wasn't bothered until he started to be in the same room as him and started singing loud enough to drown him out. And Epel straight up does not like his pet counter part, on the account that he throws overripe apples right at him. He has to take so many showers to get the smell out.

Idia obviously doesn't like his pet counterpart as well, but it's kind of funny how those two mutually scare each other. Wisp Idia stalks and freaks Idia out when he comes out at night, but sometimes Wisp Idia gets distracted enough for Idia to accidentally sneak up on him and scare them both. And Ortho is more tired of Wisp Ortho than anything, since Wisp Ortho likes to possess any of his limbs and move them around without his permission.

Sebek pretends that he's above getting into arguments with pet Sebek, but then pet Sebek would bite his shoes and do his death rolls so they yell at each other quite a bit. Lilia and pet Lilia are... weird. They smile at one another but it's the kind of smile you'd see on Rook when he's about to go on a hunt. Lilia still finds pet Lilia adorable though, even after pet Lilia peed on his shoulder. And Malleus has never found a more entertaining pet than this little one Malleus. Daring to take on his form, to go as far as to copy his thorns. A very bold pet. So bold that he can't help but find it's dislike of him very entertaining.

I finally made a book cover for my Smiling Critters AU, "The Hour of Despair". I did my very best to make it look good.

In an alternate universe of Poppy Playtime: Chapter 3, CatNap decided to refuse the Prototype's offer to join his cause for "The Hour of Joy" after he met a shadowy demon lord from the Dark Zone named Darku that gave CatNap and the Smiling Critters an offer that they can't refuse as all 8 of them managed to gain a massive amount of Dark Zone Energy and transformed into the evil, twisted versions of them known as the Dark Creatures as they all devoted their lives to Darku as they all planned their revenge on the people that used them for their experiments by giving them a taste of their medicine by turning them into Smiling Critters that also resulted in losing all of their humanity and every one of their memories wiped cleaned.

Darku even took care of the Prototype when he was about to take out CatNap aka the Sleep Demon and eventually all of the people of Playtime Co. have either been killed or transformed into their loyal and obedient minions as it was the event known as "The Hour of Despair" and soon the entire factory has become their base of operations and eventually they started spreading their chaos upon the world, leading to a post-apocalyptic world filled with darkness and despair as the Dark Creatures are hunting down every last human in the entire planet to transform into Smiling Critters in order to create a perfect world where there is no such thing as pain or anguish.

However, there was only one boy named Y/n L/n (Kenneth Parker) who has the courage and determination to stand up against the Dark Creatures with the help of the resistance team led by Poppy Playtime and the remaining toys that survived during "The Hour of Despair" as he met the Smiling Critters before the Hour of Despair even happened as he was once an orphan living at Playcare and became friends with the Smiling Critters including CatNap until he was soon adopted and hasn't see them for a really long time until the Dark Creatures rose to power and started causing a lot of trouble and chaos upon the streets of Creation City.

Soon after the Dark Creatures began their reign of terror upon the world, the war between humanity and the Dark Creatures rose and the entire city of Creation City and the entire planet was thrown into chaos as everyone struggle their way to survival while avoiding being hunted down by the Dark Creature and their minions patrolling the streets of Creation City. Resources were scarce and tempers flared as the entire planet is on the brink of war, resulting the world to become a post-apocalyptic world for survival.

Out of the chaos upon the world of Creation City, all 8 of the Dark Creatures rose to power, marking their own territory with their own base of operations and a factory where they turn the humans into Smiling Critters as two of eight members of the Dark Creatures ruled each part of Creation City as their own territory and everyone is warned not to go there unless they are prepared to enter their territory with a high risk of getting caught and meet their eternal fate and regret.

In the North region of Uptown Creation City, KickinChicken and Bubba Bubbaphant, now known as KickinHawk and Dr. Damage, leads an army of Smiling Critters with their powers of both brain and brawn. KickinHawk has transformed from a Chicken to a Chicken Hawk as he is the definition of a badass with a give them hell attitude while Bubba Bubbaphant aka Dr. Damage is the brains and head scientist of the Dark Creatures as he created tons of inventions such as traps, weapons, robot minions and many other inventions that is fueled with clean energy to preventing Mother Earth from suffering every form of pollution and corruption upon the world. KickinHawk is very skilled in hand-to-hand combat and can be really deadly with his badass fighting skills and the use of his nun-chunks and dual-wielding pistols. Dr. Damage superior intelligence can be used as a deadly weapon as his inventions and various traps that have been set all around all of the Dark Creatures bases that are designed to confuse anyone that don't have the same amount of intelligence as him. His main weapon of choice is mixing chemicals through beakers that can either cause damage to his opponents, heal his allies, create various gases for CatNap to emit from his mouth or even use them to transform his body into any shape or form to attack his enemies or make a quick escape. He would even use a chemical/syringe blaster gun in case he doesn't have his chemistry set with him.

In the West region of Silver Sands Resort, the vacation resort has become a dark kingdom of nightmares ruled by Craftycorn aka BloodyCorn and Bobby Bearhug aka Death Bear as their territory that became a gothic/fantasy nightmare world as BloodyCorn's loyal subjects treat her like a queen while Death Bear is her proud enforcer as she can bash her enemies with blunt or sharp melee weapons such as a mace, a giant hammer, a battle axe, a broadsword or even a metal baseball bat. Death Bear can even give out the deadliest, rib-crushing monster bear hugs that can crush a titanium metal pole like a Creme puff, but at least she still acts like a sweetheart to her loyal subjects as she treats them like her own kids. BloodyCorn became from a unicorn to an alicorn after her transformation as a Dark Creature as she started learning to cast spells and can create weapons out of blood, hence the name BloodyCorn as she can summon bloody razor boomerangs with the power of her horn, and she can turn the moon into a Blood Moon as one of her greatest masterpieces. Not to mention that she can punish anyone by killing them and use their blood for her paintings and would even use her magic to change the color of their blood to the color she wants to use for her paintings instead of just using the color red. Death Bear would even supply more blood of her own victims for BloodyCorn to use in case she ran out as they both treat other like sisters.

To the East region to the Mother Nature National Park marks the territory of the Bloodshed Sisters, Hoppy Hopscotch and PickyPiggy also known as Killer Bunny and the Butcher, who lived in the woods as their hideout and they always on the hunt for their next victim and cook their meat as exquisite cuisine at The Butcher's Steakhouse (Similar to Texas Roadhouse) as The Butcher is not only an expert in cooking, but she is very skilled with sharp objects like a butcher knife or a meat cleaver as she will not stop until she manages to catch her prey and serve it to her loyal subjects. As for her partner, Hoppy Hopscotch aka Killer Bunny, she is very skilled with katana blades and ninja shuirkens as she is a highly trained ninja warrior as she is faster than a cheetah and quiet as a mouse as she can slice and dice her own victims whenever someone dares enter her territory. These two cold-blooded killers are both extremely dangerous whenever someone has entered their woods as they both lived for the hunt along with their minions that are trained to capture and/or kill anyone that are lurking in the woods both day or night. So you better be careful or you will regret ever entering their woods in any time or day.

And finally at the South Region, lived the infamous Nightmare Duo, CatNap and DogDay, better known as the Sleep Demon and Eclipse Hound, the two leaders of the Dark Creatures as they both rule the city area of Downtown Creation City that went from a normal city to a world of nightmares as they used the City Hall as their hideout that later became a dark castle of bad dreams that looks like it's straight out of a horror movie in Disneyland. CatNap is a master swordsman and a master ninja as he used his katana blade that is made with the pure dark, nightmarish magic from the Dark Zone that not only can cut through almost anything like a hot knife through butter, but it can also send people to the Dark Zone with a single slash, causing them to face their deepest, darkest imaginable as the Sleep Demon uses that special ability to either trapped them for all eternity or use to break their minds into submission as he can control their dreams at his fingertips. He can even use his sleeping gas as a defense tactic to put his enemies to sleep or to make a quick escape, not to mention that after devoting his life to Darku, the sleeping gas is now completely immune to flames that won't cause his body to burst into flames, whether if someone has a lit match or a lighter or when he recieves a massive shock to his body from a supercharged green Grab-Pack hand.

As for his partner, DogDay aka Eclipse Hound, he took the role as the team's Judge, Jury and Executioner as he is the literal grim reaper with his cloak that it's burned at the edges to make it look like it came too close to the sun along with the specially designed gas mask that makes him look more frightening and intimidating that strikes fear to the hearts anyone around him. His gas mask protects him from CatNap/Sleep Demon's sleeping gas that filters the air around DogDay/Eclipse Hound, so he can breathe and protect his face from the gas. He also very fast and agile and has some very sharp brass knuckles that look like edges of the sun that can cut through and shred human flesh as he is a skilled fighter and brawler, making him a very tough opponent to defeat. So whenever you hear the omnious sound of whistling nearby, you know that he's coming to hunt you down as he is known to be the personification of Death himself.

So now that you understand and learned about all 8 members of the Dark Creatures, you're about to see how Y/n (Kenneth) does whatever he can to survive the nightmare and how he became a target to the Dark Creatures as he will do whatever he can to put an end to this nightmare once and for all. After he got adopted and the Apocalypse had begun at the streets of Creation City, he began doing some tasks for any surviving humans that are hiding away from the Dark Creature's minions that are patrolling the streets as Y/n (Kenneth) manages to get the people what they wanted such as food, water, toys, toliet paper, etc. as Y/n (Kenneth) is a born survivor and manages to get away from the Dark Creatures multiple times with the help of his trusty Grab-Pack and his Uncle Henry's Australian Bowie Knife (The same knife that Crocodile Dundee uses, only it's both black and red) as he never let fear get the better of him as he never quits until he finishes the job.

Eventually he was caught by the Dark Creatures, when he tried to get into the old abandoned toy factory, Playtime Co. to find a lost toy for a little girl, which turn out to be a trap and Y/n (Kenneth) does his best to escape until he got cornered by the Dark Creatures, who soon remembered Y/n (Kenneth) back from the Orphanage because of the strange birthmark on the back of his left hand as the planned to turn him into a Dark Creature like them, which actually worked until he somehow managed to break free and escaped the factory that made him into a Smiling Critter known as SC/n (Smiling Critter Name) with the Dark Creatures planning to hunt him down and do whatever they can to make Y/n (Kenneth) aka SC/n a permanent member of their team.

Luckily for him, he managed to get some help from the Resistance team led by none other than Poppy Playtime herself, as she and the other Playtime Co. toys helps Y/n train really hard to get revenge on the Dark Creatures for all of the damage that they've caused upon the world ad he will do whatever he can to take them all down one by one with only one word in his mind and that is....

VENGEANCE!!!
