Long-term relationships are so funny.
We’re blissfully happy living together, our lives ended up meshing in a really lovely way. We haven’t had any kind of conflict since the initial stress of getting moved into our house. We’re affectionate and playful and make dinner together almost every night and making travel plans and talking about marriage and children.
I never really believed older couples when they say that when you’re with the right person, it’s not really the big stuff that causes problems, it’s the little stupid stuff.
Until I had to buy ANOTHER jar of the kind of peanut butter I like because Bridger ate all of it, instead of eating the kind he likes (and I don’t), and then did not buy a new jar. I went to the store to buy another jar and I was fuming all the way home and had to sit in the driveway for a minute to calm down because it was so stupid to be mad about peanut butter 😂
Long-term relationships are funny. 🥰

MORE RAMBLES
Tumblr media
rambles | stu, billy, poly!ghostface | pt. 6
period sex/blood kink, discussion of their anger, domestic rambles.
Feral morning thought- convincing Billy to get tied up in some way and making him watch you ride a dildo while you’re on your period. His eyes just cutting into you as you bounce and moan with blood settling at the base.
On blood play note- riding stu on your period as he’s either actually submissive/forced to be still and Billy watching you until you pull off of him, right before stu cums, just for Billy to suck stu off with your blood in the mix. 100% creams his pants without anyone touching him.
Sometimes when stu is in a Mood™️ he becomes the clingiest bitch on earth. He’s grumpy and you don’t GET to leave he’s PISSY and he’s going to CUDDLE you for FUCKS SAKE. you + Billy give him kisses and share some candy with him and he feels better. might go out for a kill to work off some pissy baby attitude
there are days where Billy is needy and it is everyone else’s problem.
this is my little take on Billy + stu jealousy-anger-and such:
Billy- if Billy gets mad at you, it’s because of something that actually happened; any angry delusions are around the idea that someone could make you do the thing and he doesn’t blame you for that. He tries to not take his anger out on you and he tries to be mature about it but sometimes that’s hard. He would never physically hurt you. Only emotionally-mentally enough to make you relent to him.
If Billy gets mad and it’s not at you, it’s hard to tell unless he lets it known or it’s to you and Stu. He just conceals it. bitch would of loved frozen. he’ll go to you to talk about it. he’ll go to stu to talk about how to remove the problem. and he’ll go to both of you to ask for comfort. maybe comfort sex. maybe put him in his place sex. maybe murder.
stu doesn’t like getting mad at you because that’s how his exes ended up dead. but sometimes it’s inevitable. Billy does not let stu be mad at you in isolation. he’ll immediately try to talk to him about it and normally it’s an exaggeration delusion or something that can be talked out. stu doesn’t like being mad at you and he’s open to trying to fix it and he’s less of a Dick™️ to you -reader-Chan-
if stu is mad at not you, you jsut know. maybe others don’t. he’s like the concept of your mom coming home irritated from work and while she’s not mad at you, you can feel it. that’s stu. he really doesn’t want you getting worked up over it though. you’re his princess don’t worry about it. but he will 100% accept comfort kisses and you massaging his scalp.
I need you to know you could do something as simple and domestic as making them something simple like a sandwich and they’re both GONE. they’re both in love. jfc just treat them gently and let them murder and they will buy a ring.
stroke Stu’s cheek gently and call him your good boy and he is dead then and there
Date idea eating an entire xl Sam’s club JIF peanut butter jar with spoons
Have any of you seen that post ab a boyfriend showering with his gf and he cries over her gently washing his body and shampooing his hair? That’s exactly how I write the reader in all of these, that they’re the ones who’ve shown gentleness to be spared.
100% will kill your exes unless you’re explicit in that “were just better as friends/it was just not meant to be” and show that you would be genuinely mad at them if they killed them. If you don’t do that, they’re killing them either out of jealousy or revenge.
Random note: I’ve seen the ghostface - reader - j.d. ship and that’s fine it’s cute id like to be fucked by all three of them but like. J.D. is always their age. He’s like. Math older. 17 in 89, so… he would be 24 in 1996. I mean. Anyway none of that matters I’m just typing out of my ass.

Dearest Ralphie-Boy,
Ha! I guess so, well, honestly it would have felt weird for me to send something like, “What up, bro!! How’s it hanging?!” And stuff, and honestly, this tickles me. But yes! You are indeed an influencer, how does it feel?
Trueeee, I just didn’t expect it to be as charming as it is. No wonder we all think the world of you! You got that charm, like cat nip. ( Did that come off as flirty? Definitely don’t mean to. I’m no homewrecker. )
Ahhh, so Scott’s the Jif liar. Tell him that Jif is a brand of peanut butter here in the states, not an animation online. I said what I said.
….uh. Well. America’s kind of huge here, so…. I can’t say yes or no? Ralph, we’re not British actors that all go to the same club, you know? Even in Hollywood we spend time to avoid one another. Though. Yes, I’m a California girl. I don’t know if your friend is. So maybe?? Even then…… probably not! Though you are more than welcome to come over! That would be amazing. We can get you all the American treats you Brits don’t get. ( I follow two tiktokers whose whole brand is trying American snacks, so I imagine there’s a lot you haven’t tried. Have you thought of tiktok?! )
Oooh, you’re fancy in the kitchen. How nice! I’ve never had coq au vin. Probably gonna google after I send this to you. But I do love a steak 🥩 usually cooked at a medium or medium rare. Well Done steaks depress me. Where’s the flavor? The juice? It’s just disappointment in meat form. Ahh, but oven baked macaroni or the blue boxes?
No need for apologies! I enjoyed myself reading what you’ve written. Well, the oven baked chicken with barbecue sauce is actually my go to, with some potatoes ( gold potatoes. Something about them. ) I’m just a big fan of bbq in general. Oh! When you come over, you should definitely go to an American BBQ restaurant. That’s a must.
Warmest Regards,
Yve
Dear Yve,
Now, are you quite sure you don't know my American friend? Because all of those things are exactly the kind of thing he greets me with! And he is certainly from California! I know that much because he got very cross when I tried to copy his voice when the costume store was presenting a Wild West theme. Apparently there are separate American accents just as there are in England.
Oh, crumbs, I've never had any sort of influence on anything before, it all seems a tad overwhelming, but my friends are teaching me well! I heard talks of something called a "podded cast", but I'm not sure if by cast they mean I'm expected to be in the movies or severely injured. Neither sound all too appealing to me!
I shall let him know about the peanut butter as well, although perhaps I hope you don't mind if I simply show him this message and let him read it from you. You are currently an ocean away from him, I am but an arm's length.
I tried the Tick and Tock app one time, but I spoke at great length in the video that I wanted to make but the blasted thing cut me off mere seconds in! I became very frustrated with the time limit and so I did away with it completely.
...I must admit. While I do put in the effort when I am cooking for those that I care for, when I say that I could eat macaroni and cheese all the while, it isn't anything of any real nutritional value. I just go across to the supermarket and buy as many packets of the kind you can just pop in the microwave and eat within minutes as I can. Terribly lazy of me, I know.
I'm yet to have a barbecue! I'm told Americans do it quite differently to how they do it over here, in America I'm told it's its own cuisine! I would so love to try it sometime. Unfortunately, I'm not so sure they'll give a passport to someone who has supposed to have been dead for the last 97 years. Perhaps I could hide in my friend's luggage when he next goes home to California!
Regards,
Ralph

Can Dogs Eat Chunky Peanut Butter?
New Post has been published on https://www.petculiars.com/can-dogs-eat-chunky-peanut-butter/
Can Dogs Eat Chunky Peanut Butter?
Although just a taste of chunky peanut butter is pretty much fine as the occasional treat for dogs, there are some things you should consider when giving your dog this type of sweet.
Before you give chunky peanut butter to your dog you should read the ingredient label very carefully to make sure that nothing inside it is toxic to dogs, like sugar replacements like xylitol. Palm oil is another ingredient you should make sure isn’t on the label, although this is one not a lot of people know about. Palm oil is used in some chunky peanut butter products because it is somewhat healthier than hydrogenated oils, for humans at least.
And although it is healthy for people, palm oil isn’t all that great for dogs. Although it isn’t so bad that we should consider it poisonous, it can still cause sickness in dogs and it also has a laxative effect. When ingesting too much palm oil, dogs might experience dehydration and diarrhea among the most common symptoms.
You should then check the texture and consistency of the chunky peanut butter that you want to give to your dog. If you have a pup or a dog of a smaller breed, then the chunks might become a choking hazard, although the chances of this happening aren’t at all high. A safer option for smaller dogs is, of course, peanut butter with a creamy consistency.
You might also like my articles on whether dogs can eat JIF peanut butter, cherry pie, or Twizzlers licorice.
Another important factor you should consider is the high amount of calories and fat contained in peanut butter. This is why you should really try to moderate the amount of chunky peanut butter your dog gets. Most dogs that eat chunky peanut butter consistently will develop some type of weight-related problems at some point in their lives.
Some of the most popular chunky peanut butter brands
I`ll try to go over some of the most popular peanut butter brands and their ingredient lists. I think the most popular one is Jif or Jiffy peanut butter. This brand is known to have a few different types of crunchy peanut butter, among which are the crunch and extra crunchy versions. While studying the ingredient list of the extra crunchy version, I managed to only spot roasted peanuts, molasses, and fully-hydrogenated vegetable oils. This means that this version of the Jif peanut butter is not only palm oil free but also xylitol free, which makes it safe for your dog, as long as he eats it only as a treat.
The second most popular brand of peanut butter is Skippy. For the most part, the ingredient list for the Skippy SUPER CHUNK variety is pretty much the same as the Jif recipe. The most important ingredients on its list are salt, rapeseed oil, soybean oil and other fully-hydrogenated oils, and roasted peanuts. This means that you can also feed your dog with the occasional Skippy peanut butter.
Some chunky peanut butter brands that could contain xylitol
Most of the time, the products containing xylitol will be those products marked as sugar-free. A great example of this is the popular Go Nuts Co. Peanut butter. According to their official website, some of their products will contain xylitol or other sweeteners. Although nowadays most peanut butter brands will use something else than xylitol as the main sweetener, it won’t hurt to just ask whenever you’re in doubt for any reason, or when you’re buying a product from a second-tier brand.
What can you do to stop your dog from eating peanut butter?
Did the pet manage to get his paws on the whole jar of chunky peanut butter while you weren’t paying attention? The first thing you need to do is check the label on the jar to make sure that the peanut butter doesn’t have any ingredients that might be toxic to your dog. After this, you will have to give your dog a decent amount of fresh water and keep him under observation for the following hours.
As long as your dog doesn’t start to exhibit any symptoms like vomiting, fatigue, or diarrhea, you will most likely have no reason to take him to the vet. It will also be helpful to switch your dog’s diet to something lighter, like rice and boiled chicken, at least until he manages to get over any stomach upsets he might have to deal with.

If turning 102 years old meant low-key get-togethers with beers, laughs and his friends -sans apocalypse-, then Steve thought he could get used to this centenarian life.
Sam’s BBQ ribs and potato salad really hit the spot on the warm summer afternoon in his Brooklyn apartment. Sleeves of his denim shirt rolled up to his elbows, Steve relaxed on the couch with his ice-cold beer, enjoying the soft jazz playing in the background. Sam and Bucky bickered as they loaded the dishwasher, while Natasha cleared the table.
Ding dong!
“Hey Stevie, could you get that?” Bucky asked, gesturing to the door with a plate he was about to rinse. He exchanged a suspicious glance with Sam, who snickered. “Should be the uh, sweet treat we ordered.”
Steve raised an eyebrow at his best buds as he set the bottle down and crossed to the door in quick strides. His stomach flipped as he looked through the peephole and opened the door. He knew this was the work of his meddling friends.
“Darcy.”
“Happy Birthday, Steve!” Darcy’s infectious gap-tooth smile made his insides tinge. She was definitely dressed for the holiday in a white tee with little navy sequinned stars, red lipstick popping against her fair skin. She gestured dramatically to the cake box she was holding, wrapped in red baker’s twine.
Through the cellophane window, he could see the pull-apart cake made to look like a tsum tsum of his costumed persona. (He only knew what they were because Peter and Shuri kept sending him jifs - or was it gifs? - of them.)
“Thanks, Darcy. I appreciate it,” Steve replied as he took the box, matching her grin with a shy one of his own. He peered at her through his thick lashes, his warm blue eyes never leaving her mischievous turquoise ones.
He’d been sweet on Dr Foster’s former assistant since the duo moved into the Tower a year ago. Darcy was gorgeous, smart, funny and ballsy, with a sassy mouth that got her in and out of trouble. And she made the most scrumptious things. Super-powered fights may or may not have broken out in the common area kitchen over her brown butter snickerdoodles.
A cough from the peanut gallery at the other end of the room broke the flirty moment.
Cheeks flushed, Steve cleared his throat and stepped aside, setting the box on the coffee table. “Come in. Please. I haven’t seen you in a while.”
Darcy waved to the trio in the kitchen as she came through the doorway. “I know right!” She gushed, perching on the arm of the beige sofa. “Finished my degree a few months ago while you guys were on a long mission. My heart was never in political science so I wanted to figure out what was. So I decided to move out and try striking out on my own. Life without Science! and aliens hasn’t been super exciting but I’m getting by. Took a leap of faith and finally started my dessert business: Darcy’s Delights.”
In her typical animated fashion, she talked about the shared kitchen space she rented in SoHo with other foodie start-ups, Steve hanging on to her every word, much to the amusement of his friends. The stories were replete with crazy customer encounters and baking mishaps a la Darcy. Summer was peak season for small patissiers like hers so she didn’t mind working on holidays, especially if it meant extra cash to fund her own space.
“That’s great, Darce, really.” Steve grinned proudly from his seat next to her. She’d come so far. He remembered the nights she ‘strong-armed’ him into manually mixing her frosting with only a sad pout of those cherry-red lips. ‘Supersoldier biceps over stand mixers’ she’d say. He also liked that she pretended not to notice when he snuck a taste or three.
Smiling to herself, Darcy absently mused her dark curls, Steve’s gaze glued to every movement. “It’s been busy and a struggle but it’s so rewarding. Speaking of which, I have to run. Sorry.” She stood slowly. “More Fourth of July orders to drop off before the fireworks start.”
“Hang on,” Steve pleaded. He went for his jacket hanging in the hallway closet to the right of the living room. “At least let me pay you,” he called back.
“It’s your birthday, Steve. It’s on me.” Darcy reassured him.
He came down the hallway, thumbing through his wallet for cash. “You drove all the way out here, Darce. At least let me give you a tip.”
“I wish you would give me the whole thing,” Darcy mumbled under her breath, forgetting she was in the presence of supersoldiers and spies with enhanced hearing. And Sam.
Steve froze in his tracks, his face a bright tomato. He swallowed the strangled noise in his throat and tried to keep his voice low and even as he returned to the living room.
“H- how about um, after dinner this uh, Friday at 7?”
Simultaneous snorts from Sam and Bucky and the corresponding slaps from Natasha were enough to let Darcy know that no one missed her comment.
Fanning her flaming face and determined to ignore the sparks of excitement in her lady bits, she cleared her throat. “I actually have a dinner party to cater for that night…”
Steve tried not to let the disappointment show on his face. “Oh... Okay.”
“But…” Darcy crossed the space to him, handing over her business card with her phone number on the back, “If you come over at 6 to help me mix the frosting, we can have our... dinner after that at 8.”
The earlier embarrassment was worth the sunny smile Steve gave her. “Friday at 6 it is.”
Darcy turned on the heel of her boots and was halfway through the door before she paused to wink at him over her shoulder.
“If you do a really good job, soldier, I might even let you lick the bowl this time.”
Steve choked on a nervous laugh as the door slammed closed.
“Hot damn.” “Nice.” Sam and Bucky interjected at the same time, only for the sound of twin slaps to echo a moment later.
Natasha walked over to where Steve was still staring dreamily at the closed front door. She quirked her perfectly-plucked eyebrow at him.
“You know she’s gonna eat you alive, right?”
“I know.” Steve sighed happily. “I can’t wait.”

A Family Resemblance: On Sainthood
A Family Resemblance: On Sainthood A sermon for Trinity Episcopal Church, Baraboo, Wis. and St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church, Baraboo, Wis. All Saints’ Snday | November 5, 2017 Revelation 7:9-17 | Psalm 34:1-10, 22 | I John 3:1-3 | Matthew 5:1-10 At my uncle's house, the Sam's Club size jar of Jif sits on the kitchen table. If you walked by and saw it sitting there, you'd think it had gotten left out, like someone had put peanut butter on something at breakfast and then put away everything else except the jar of peanut butter. The Jif has sat there, morning, noon and night, for as long as I can remember. It lives on the kitchen table. But the better question is, "Why?" Well, at least once a day, and more often when I was younger, I would watch my uncle walk by the table, pause and turn into the kitchen. He'd grab a spoon, come back to the jar of Jif, take one spoonful out and eat it, and then he'd throw the spoon into the sink and go back to doing what he was doing. It may not surprise you to learn that this little problem with peanut butter runs in the Mowers family. I am a creature of habit when it comes to breakfast, known to eat the very same breakfast every day for years on end before I change and then eat that breakfast every day for years on end. Currently, I'm on about a six-month run of a slice of toast with lots of peanut butter and a little jam. Growing up, we put peanut butter on everything. Pancakes? Done. French toast? Youbetcha. On a plate so that you could dip your banana in it? Absolutely. On celery sticks and topped with raisins? Ants on a log is the best! A while back, I was in my brother's apartment and I saw a jar of peanut butter on the kitchen table, and I didn't even ask. I knew what it was there for. Last week we took M trick or treating for the first time - and there was a revelation when she discovered that some M&Ms have peanut butter in them! We expect traits like that to run in families. It's nice when those traits are endearing, like my uncle's little problem with peanut butter, rather than destructive, like alcoholism or mental illness or child abuse, though those things tend to run in families too. The impact that our parents have on us as we grow up is indelible, and they form us in ways that we cannot have expected and in many cases, would not have chosen. This morning we observe All Saints' Day. We observe it every year on November 1 or the Sunday following, and it's a celebration to remember all the saints: all of the people throughout church history who had this family resemblance to Jesus - whose lives, though imperfect, showed us the face of God. All Saints is followed each year, the very next day, by All Souls' Day, which is a day where we remember all of those who have died, saintly or not, and ask that God would finally make good for all of us the victory that Jesus has won over death and raise them and all of us from the dead. It's a time where we remember that death is temporary. We also remember at Holy Communion on All Saints that we gather around the table of the Lord surrounded by all the company of heaven, and that the barrier between the living and the dead is made paper-thin as we celebrate Communion together. [SJBonly: In a few moments, as we celebrate Communion today, I will invite all of you who have had a significant loss this last year, or any of you who are particularly burdened by any death in the past, to join me at the table as I celebrate this morning so that, as we remember Jesus' death and resurrection together, you can be as close to your remembered loved one as we can get in this life]. Most of us have people we remember and treasure who have died. Maybe they were saintly, maybe they weren't. It resonates with me, and with lots of us, I think, to remember those people at All Saints' each year. If you're like me though, remembering the official saints is a little more foreign. I mean, I think about people that we remember and their impact on me - folks like St. Paul, and St. John, and even more modern saints, people like Martin Luther King or Mother Teresa. When we remember them, they don't seem as relatable as the people I remember. Mother Teresa moved from Macedonia clear around the world to care for the poorest of the poor for 50 years. St. Paul was on a trip to jail and harass Christians when Jesus Christ himself showed up on the road and blinded him. Even Martin Luther King, born just 60 years before me, made sacrifices and became virtuous in ways I can only dream about. I preach to two smallish congregations, do lots to help those churches be healthy and embody the gospel, and change a lot of diapers. In the face of the saints, that story seems a little small. In our New Testament reading this morning from I John, the author writes, "See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God; and that is what we are. The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Beloved, we are God's children now; what we will be has not yet be revealed. What we do know is this: When he is revealed, we will be like him, for we will see him as he is." When we think about the sacrifices that some of the saints we remember have made, or when we look at their images in stained glass around us, or when we ask for their prayers on our behalf, we might think that they aren't much like us. But God has given us the same love that he gave to each of them. God has adopted us: God has called us his children, and that is what we are. So no matter what our lives look like: whether we work in a job we don't love so that we can pay the bills, whether we spend a lot of days by ourselves at home, whether we go to school or do anything else that we might not think of as saintly, God has made us his children. Children sometimes have a family resemblance to their parents and to the rest of their family. If you have a special uncle who leaves his peanut butter in the middle of the table, you might find yourself with a peanut butter problem. When God poured his love out on us in calling us children of God, and when we begin to respond to that love, sometimes we can begin to notice that the peanut butter problem is spreading. And, even if we don't notice ourselves growing in our love for God, or in the ways that we might make decisions differently because of God's love working in our lives, even if we can't see much continuity between our own lives and the lives of the saints, we need not fear: "We are God's children now," John writes. "What we will be has not yet been revealed." For of the saints, the example of love for God and neighbor did not come about because they were something special on their own. It came because the love of God had been poured out on them to make them children of God. In many of the saints, their lives were dramatically changed through an encounter with the love of God revealed in Jesus. For others, the change was much more gradual, much less dramatic. For all of us, the saintly and the not-so-saintly, what we are now only shows a glimpse of the family resemblance that will be revealed later on. We are God's children now, John writes. We have received this love and it is at work in our hearts. In those moments where we think we've failed, in those moments where we think we are far from God, God has made us his children. God doesn't stop loving his children when they fail, or make bad decisions, or miss church or lose patience with their children. God continues to draw us to love Jesus and to center our lives around him, and to love us in ways that will get us to break down our defenses. We might fail now, but what we will be one day has not yet been revealed. When Jesus returns to bring heaven to earth and to restore all creation to wholeness and completeness, and to destroy death and all the works of the devil, we who are children of God will be like him, because seeing Jesus as he is will change us. That's not just true at the end of time either. When we see Jesus as he is in the midst of our present lives, we will begin to be like him in this life. We might worry that this change might change us into a person we don't recognize, that the love of God might make us really sensitive when people swear and turn us into a real-life Ned Flanders. We might think that turning into a saint means that we can't use sarcastic humor any longer, or that we suddenly start praying out loud using lots of thees and thous to make ourselves sound holy. But that's not how it works. God made us as his very good, beloved creation, and God doesn't want us to be other than what we are, he wants us to be more of what we are. When we get familiar with the words and actions of Jesus in the New Testament, we realize that we have been made children of God, that we each individually have been called to follow Jesus, and that in following Jesus we become more like ourselves, not less. We find ourselves changed by the story of Jesus, yes, but changed in this way: that we are set free from doubt, set free from the need to posture to make others approve of us, set free from the need to justify ourselves, set free from the need to hide who we really are, because the love of God has been given to us in Christ Jesus. This is the same love that made such an impact in the lives of the saints. It's the love that turned St. Paul from a murdering persecutor of Christians is the same love that has been poured out on us. When we are around that difficult coworker everyone tries to avoid, the Father gives us that same love to be able to look past that person's words, look past their actions, and see their need. that The love that turned St. Peter from a doubting denier of Jesus with no faith at all into a powerful and compelling leader of the early church is the same love that has been given to us. It's the same love that take us from doubting that God exists half the time to a person who loves Jesus and who centers their life around growing deeper in Jesus and around serving the world in his name. The love that drove so many saints to be martyred instead of recant their faith is the same love that is with us in moments where love must be tough, those moments where we help a loved one get treatment for substance abuse, where we show a teenager that we love them no matter how bad their behavior is, where we care for the physical needs of a difficult older person. When Jesus shows himself as he is, we will be made like him. On this All Saints' Day, as we remember all who have died, and all the saints who have shown us the love of God, may God show us the love that he has for us in Jesus. May God give us us this love so that we can be like him, not only in the next life, but in this one. May God give us this love so that we can be more like ourselves, more like the children of God that we are, so that we can resemble Jesus in all of our relationships. May God work in us a peanut butter problem, helping us to resemble Jesus, and may he bring us, together with all the Saints, to that glorious last day when he will be revealed, and we will be made like him.

Tasty Low Carb Foods and Low Carb Recipes That Always Help Me Lose Weight On A Low Carb Diet Like Atkins
My partner as well as I do our very own version of the Atkins Diet every 2 or 3 years, as a fairly quick method to bring down and also begin consuming healthy and balanced again.
We do NOT do it 'by the book'.
I think that's exactly what makes a low carb diet plan like the Atkins Diet among the most convenient - and most efficient - ways for us to shed weight quickly. We check out it less like 'a diet plan' as well as a lot more like a method to reset our weight after letting our bodies and our diet plans obtain unfortunately unfit for as well long.
How We Slim down Eating Low-Carb
During the first week, we attempt to stay under 20 carbohydrates each day. We likewise aim to consume alcohol even more water than usual. As well as we attempt to snack much less as well as utilize less dressings than we usually would.
During the second week and going ahead (up until we go to a weight that we fit with), we try to stay within 20-40 carbohydrates a day. It's a quite loosened goal, keeping in mind that fewer carbs would certainly always be nicer, and a couple of added typically aren't going to kill us. We likewise pay really little focus to points like dressings, sweeteners, and dressings. So indeed, we constantly select the lowest-carb choices, but we don't measure just how much of each spice we're ingesting each day.
When it feels right (it's different for each and every of us), we gradually begin adding in the following foods which come to be 'legal' in the later phases of the Atkins Diet:
Vegetables (much more of the non-starchy vegetables compared to we have in Phase 1, or the initial 2 weeks)
Nuts (much more of the mixed nuts than we treat on in Stage 1, or the very first 2 weeks)
Seeds ( especially sunflower seeds)
Fruits (especially berries)
Yogurt (specifically greek yogurt)
Cottage cheese (or ricotta cheese)
Beans (ah, glorious beans!)
Tomato juice (V8 juice for me)
Starchy vegetables as well as entire grains (peas, corn, sweet potatoes, basmati rice, brownish rice, quinoa)
And finally, we always have a cheat day at the end of each week. Yep, it's a benefit of sorts - a light at the end of the passage - that inspires us and offers us something to anticipate, specifically at those (rare) times when dieting appears tough. It likewise gives us a day to interact socially without nit-picking the food when we're delighting in supper with friends.
Sometimes (particularly in the initial 2 weeks), our rip off day simply indicates having one not-so-terrible' meal - like a Mexican burrito minus the rice, or a burger at a restaurant minus the bun with semi-healthy sides rather than french fries or potatoes. If we're feeling the need, then we may rip off with 2 dishes that day - it simply depends. We constantly continue to be keenly conscious of exactly what we're consuming and also about exactly how numerous carbs we're ingesting.
If we restrict ourselves too a lot, we merely won't stick with it.
Our concept on diet programs, as a whole, is this: For a diet plan to function (for us), it needs to be practical. And also for us, that indicates it needs to be rather pleasurable in order for us to desire to continue doing it.
Here are the main Atkins Diet regimen guidelines for Stage 1, plus all the various other Atkins Phases.
Our Weightloss Outcomes On A Reduced Carb Diet
So, just what are our outcomes after doing a reduced carbohydrate diet regimen this way?
In one month, Jim has actually shed 20 pounds up until now. I do not do ranges. Never have. Yet I recognize that my garments are fitting much better, and my stomach is reducing. That's all the inspiration I have to maintain consuming low-carb.
Jim's weightloss has been quicker and a lot more foreseeable. (I think this is the situation with several people generally.) I, on the various other hand, need to stick it out a little bit longer prior to the weight falls off when I'm on a low carb diet plan. I additionally snack more than he does throughout the day, so that's a couple of even more carbohydrates each day that my body needs to burn.
Since I have hypertension (husband doesn't), I try not to go also much overboard on the bacon and eggs - which occur to be the simplest (as well as my favorite) things to eat on the reduced carbohydrate diet plan. While those are Jim's day-to-day go-to snacks on the Atkins Diet plan, I usually select various other things when he's consuming bacon and also eggs. Apart from that, we virtually eat the exact same things.
I realize this 'lazy guy's Atkins Diet' may not be the most effective means for every person to do a low carb diet plan. It works for us.
If you are able to stick with the true phases as well as standards of the Atkins Diet plan, after that you're a better low-carb dieter compared to we are. For us, success on a reduced carbohydrate diet plan suggests getting to a point where we're consuming far fewer carbohydrates than we generally would.
Then, for maintenance - over the next 2 to 3 years - we try to eat:
low carb
high protein
low fat
high fiber
Without measuring and restricting ourselves carb-wise (like the Atkins Diet regimen itself requires), it might take a little longer to lose the pounds yet it's absolutely doable. And also we clearly really feel better.
Others have claimed they really feel slow-moving and also clinically depressed as well as bored when they're on a reduced carbohydrate diet. Not us.
Perhaps this is due, partially, to the kinds of reduced carbohydrate foods we enjoy ...

Our next favored snack is among the numerous tastes of Atkin's candies and also Atkins treat bars (our faves are 2 to 3 carbohydrates per treat). Yet considering that the Atkins treats are really high in sugar alcohols, they resemble laxatives if you consume way too many of them! So to stay healthy (or if I won't be near a shower room), I'll sometimes choose celery and also natural peanut butter. Many times, just spraying the juice of 1 lemon in a glass of water satisfies me for some time snack-wise.

My Favorite Low Carb Recipes
One of my biggest frustrations on a low carb diet plan like Atkins is not having the ability to eat a whole lot of veggies, particularly in the very early phases. I can not help it, I like vegetables as sides with my entrees like steak, chicken, and also fish. (Eco-friendly beans, brussel sprouts, and asparagus are the lowest carb vegetables that we like - but even they get old after awhile.)
One lifesaver for us has actually been this Cauliflower Mashed Potatoes recipe.
When I was scooping them into the supper plate the quite first time, Jim essentially worried. He thought I would certainly gone off the deep end and was offering him mashed potatoes! It wasn't up until I had him taste them initially, that I informed him just what they really were. (Since I knew he wouldn't consume it on purpose otherwise.) He enjoyed them! We currently make Cauliflower Mashed Potatoes at least once a week.
Next, I'm going to try Cauliflower Popcorn. Naturally, Kale Chips are an additional go-to when we're yearning a salted snack.
A couple of other low carb dishes that I'm anticipating trying:
Zucchini Pizza Casserole
Stuffed Burgers
Bacon Cheddar Cauliflower Chowder Soup
Cauliflower Pizza
Lettuce Wraps
The Bottom Line: Eat Healthy
For the document, I don't assume the Atkins Diet regimen is the healthiest method to consume - especially if you have high blood stress or high cholesterol. So we never ever stay on a reduced carb diet regimen for longer compared to 2 months at a time.
Without a doubt though, I do think that doing the Atkins Diet regimen momentarily could aid you slim down ... fast!
After that, then just proceed to consume healthy. Period.
If (or when) our diet plan, our fitness, and also how we look have all obtained out of whack, after that we run to the Atkins Diet plan again to shed a few pounds. Afterwards, simply start eating healthy and balanced once more. It's a cycle that seems to help us!
