You can love a character & still admit when they’re wrong. I love Kaz Brekker but I acknowledge his flaws (none, he’s perfect) and I can hold him accountable for his wrongdoings (he’s never done anything wrong in his life) an call him out on his actions (which are always right).

Most fantasy book protagonists: have basic moral compasses, don’t commit excessive war crimes, care about the world in general, etc
Kaz “dirty hands” Brekker: Shows his simp behavior by gauging someone’s eyes out in the opening chapters of Six of Crows because they hurt Inej and he felt like it and doesn’t give a flying fuck about traumatizing everyone on board because he’s sexy like that.

Every outside interaction with kaz is so funny cause they're all like "I wonder what's going on behind that scheming face of his" and kaz on the inside is just "money money money InejInejInejInej aaaaaaaaaaaaa"
