[Immediately after Fit brutally roasted a chatter for being a filthy metagamer]
Dono: You became my comfort streamer. It has been great here.
Fit: Oh, thank you so much, thank you thank you thank you. I'm glad I can bring you comfort when I insult the sht out of some chatters, I'm glad I can comfort you. That's right!
Fit: People say I'm nice, no, I'm not nice. I'm polite. Mostly. There's a difference between being nice and being polite, I am polite. I am polite.

8, 14, 15, 16 for the fandom love ask game (any media you feel like chatting about)
8. you hope more people will come to appreciate
Overall, I just want more Ace Attorney fans to play and appreciate The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles in general. Everyone who plays it seems to enjoy it, but our numbers are small compared to the mainline games. The storytelling and the gameplay is just fantastic in this one and I just want more people to experience it, because it's worth it. It's even more worth it to go through the story completely blind, but even if you do get inevitable spoilers that come from being on the Internet at large, learning the context behind those spoilers is still emotional.
14. the ship that always makes you smile
My feelings about it have been a roller coaster, but I eventually settled on the more positive ones - I adore Wrightworth/Narumitsu. Their interactions in the first trilogy and all the story beats they hit were just amazing. There's a reason they have a lot of fan work and analysis to this day. The foundation is solidly there in the first trilogy and there are many directions people can go from that foundation (whether or not they include the second trilogy is up to them.)
15. the character that always makes you smile
So many of them (in mainline and the spinoffs in Ace Attorney) - but if I picked the first name that came to mind of course it's Miles Edgeworth. He is just everything to me. He's a sassy rival to Phoenix. He's a tortured soul who is haunted by his past. He's a big brother figure to Franziska and Kay. He's got hilarious banter between himself and Gumshoe. And he also won't back down against the truly corrupt and powerful. He's a hero, and icon and he's got style.
16. a tiny detail in canon that you want more people to appreciate
I don't know what makes a detail "tiny" since different people notice different things about stories in general. But I guess I have to talk about Van Zieks here and something I don't see mentioned about him a lot (from my scrolling on Tumblr. This might have been mentioned elsewhere.)
What sets Van Zieks apart from a lot of rival prosecutors in the Ace Attorney series is that he actually doesn't do anything unethical. Yes, he's rude and over the top with his bottle flipping and chalice throwing. And I will not ignore his racism either because it's so in your face from the very first case you encounter him. But he doesn't forge evidence and never even entertains the thought of doing so. He doesn't intimidate witnesses, bribe the judge or try and rule over the courtroom with an iron fist. He never blackmails anyone. And without giving away too many spoilers, there is more to him than being "The Reaper of the Bailey."
So I guess his moral code is what makes me see him as redeemable, as well as his character development in later parts of Chronicles.
There are arguments about whether or not his arc was handled well, but I think it was written decent enough for me to get what it was going for and accept it.

Honestly from hearing what you're saying about the movie and listening to others, I've come to the conclusion that people who love the show hate the movie and those who love the movie hate the show or at least the show's ending lol. Cause I really loved the movie and wished they introduced the concepts brought up in the movie into the show...... and also get rid of Thomas cause he's ass lmao
I honestly have a hard time thinking people thought it was better than the show, sorry but??
The miraculous lore is so flat and empty. No lucky charm?? What's great about Ladybug's power is that she finds solutions with her cleverness and it wasn't at all exploited. It was honestly hard to understand how they even managed to beat the villains at all. No akumatised objects, you don't understand well how the akuma leave them or anything
They made Chat Noir a misogynistic asshole lmao who is this guy, I don't know him
None of the characters backstory is exploited nor make sense. Adrien was in school all along? He's not a model? He can stand up to his father like it's normal? Sorry but no
WHERE IS THE TENSION NONE FOUND HERE. There's an identity reveal that couldn't fall more flat because there's no time to see the characters interact, there's no time to build some tension of sort. Adrinette is barely seen onscreen so a reveal cannot be impactful knowing that
The way they fall in love is just....lame and empty?? Marinette just falls for a guy in a library who asks her if she's alright. Cool. Chat Noir falls for Ladybug after she saved his sorry macho ass and there's no big moment or whatever apart from Careless Whisper playing
The themes were basics and done in the most cliché way (be yourself, not be afraid, loveeee wins etc)
Marinette wants to be ladybug again because?? Of some song with Tikki??? And that's it? No big moment where she realises she has to stand in or anything. She just suddenly goes 'ok I have to do that'
Don't get me started on the Gabriel/Adrien reveal and their hug and all fjzjjdje anyways
Marinette's cleverness and what makes her a hero in the series just isn't here. She's not standing out. Zag said fuck u feminism for real
Anyway I'll stop with the negative points hahaha, and share the bits I liked:
The ladynoir practice/play-fight was great and I wished we had had more of that in the series
The visuals in terms of background were great (still hate the characters design). But for instance the Eiffel Tower reaaaally looked huge as it is and we got that impression, the Paris of the movie feels a lot like the real Paris
And yeah Thomas doesn't have the best way of handling twitter at all but from what I've heard, Zag really isn't as great as the fandom makes him seem to be, he's just good at hiding it on social medias 😅 at least Thomas is a good storyteller and the same cannot be said about Zag with what happened in this movie and how...well.....his other shows are working

I've gotten on the redacted asmr fandoms ass so it's only fair I do the same with the scythe audio People. This is just me stating my option and ranting I am not claiming that anything being said is an official statement from the man himself this is just me.
Like two seconds ago I saw a post where scythe explained why he will not be progressing the babysitter vampier serious (im not sure how to spell atrocity but my points still stand). I would like to make it very clear before I keep going that I fully agree and respect every reason that he listed and anyone who doesn't can get off my account.
Now moving on to the issues
Some people in this community have crossed a few major lines the first one I will be addressing is the simping, while you all have every right to simp for a character evil vamp or not the way some have gone about it is gross.
He is interacting with a CHILD in this series you as the listener are not at a consenting age, it has been stated from the start that the listener little love is a little child and the fact that some fans can't except that and keep saying nasty sexual things both in the live stream for the series and within the community is vial.
Scythe has stated many times that he is uncomfortable with these actions and has asked for it all to stop, if you are one of the people that can't do as asked and respect scythe I invite you to remove yourself from my account I do not wish to interact with you.
Last thing, the chat bots
I don't know much about this topic I haven't seen a lot of it but I do know that while I support people using the character Ai for fun and just all around goofy interactions I don't respect this. These bots are not approved by scythe and therefore should not be active you are stealing connect at this point and that's not fair to scythe or any possible artist in the community you have stolen from in the process.
This is also incredibly gross because people have been yet again crossing the nsfw boundary and being nasty with the character after the creator stated that he was not comfortable with it.
All of that to once again say, that I respect everyone's right to have fun in a community but if your 'fun' is actively hurting others or making them uncomfortable you are the problem and make wonderful communities like scythe's unsafe for others and I want you away from my account if you willing do so.
If I missed anything or got it wrong let me know, this was mainly a rant running off of frustration so I could have vey well been misinformed on something. If scythe wants I will happily remove my post.

20 Questions for Fic Writers
Thanks for the tag, @tunemyart!
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
162
2. What's your total AO3 word count?
695,994
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Ted Lasso is the only fandom I'm actively writing in right now. In the past I've also written for Grace and Frankie and The Devil Wears Prada (DWP) as an actual active member of the fandom. I've also dabbled in Doubt, a specific National Theatre production of Twelfth Night, Dead To Me, Killing Eve, 9 to 5 (film), Supergirl, and Carol.
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
Even now, all five are DWP Miranda/Andy fics. That is wild.
Clean Rooms and Dirty Light
Lightyear
Twenty Questions
Ice Water
Calibrated
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I do! I think I've replied to nearly every comment I've received. I really, really appreciate comments no matter how quick or detailed they are and while I don't think writers have an obligation to respond to anything they don't want to, I always love hearing back from writers when I comment on their fic. Receiving a fic comment feels like an incredible opportunity to thank someone for reading and chat about the story. One of my favorite things about fandom is the interactive component; when I publish something in a lit mag, I might hear from a few people about it, but when I publish fic there's a built-in audience/community and I do not take that for granted.
6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Maybe "Millimeters" (Grace/Frankie), in which Grace ends the story pining for Frankie, who is in a relationship with someone else? But even that story doesn't actually have an angsty ending; by the time I published it, I was already in the process of publishing a multi-chapter fic that was the third and final part of the series and that has a very happy ending.
No matter how much angst I put characters through in fic, I am pretty committed to endings that have some degree of hope and at least the possibility of joy!
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
I could answer with so many fics, but I'll go with "The Adventure" (Ted/Rebecca) because its ending is explicitly about Rebecca appreciating her life, sharing this appreciation with Ted, and feeling happy about her immediate future.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
If I have, I've blocked it out. I often put a note on my fics saying I am open to constructive criticism, and while I occasionally get criticism/questions/requests for additional tagging/etc. (all of which I welcome!), I've never gotten a properly hateful comment.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Absolutely! The sex I write tends to be relatively feelings-y, but that doesn't mean it isn't smutty! I absolutely love writing sex and a significant portion of my stories contain some kind of explicit content. I'm not totally sure what "what kind" means but by this point I've written solo sex, couple sex, and group sex in a variety of queer and hetero contexts. I've written more femslash sex than anything else, but I love writing it all!
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
I have tried but never successfully published any. I was really trying to make a DWP + Grace and Frankie crossover work for a long time but it just isn't the way my brain operates. I did write a story about Grace and Frankie watching Killing Eve with their ex husbands, though! :D
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not word-for-word/reposted, but I've had significant passages and concepts from fic plagiarized. It annoyed me.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Not yet but some may be in the works?! I've had lots of fic podficced before, and while all the podfics are in the same language, they still feel in some ways like a delightful act of translation.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Yes! The Ted Lasso Ted/Beard podfic @boglady, @podklb, and @rockinhamburger "Just Missed You," which we created for @pod-together.
I've also collaborated more loosely on a couple fics, like the Ted/Rebecca fic "Rebecca Welton, 2021" (@boglady wrote the first chapter and gave me permission to write chapter two and @diane-lockharts permission to write chapter three) and the Beard/Ted + pre-Beard/Rebecca/Ted fic "Before and After" (@theodore-lasso wrote the first chapter and gave me permission to write a chapter two).
I might be forgetting something older, but those are the ones that come to mind.
14. What's your all-time favorite ship?
Impossible question! When I'm fixated on something it's my most favorite thing forever in a way that sort of limits my ability to think broadly and actually answer the question. So it FEELS like my answer is a tie between Ted/Rebecca and Ted/Rebecca/Keeley/Roy and Beard/Rebecca/Ted and any Ted/soulmate situation and that might actually be accurate because I can't recall my brain deep-diving into character quite like this before. But also, Miranda/Andy?! To have started writing about them in 2008 and to still read them sometimes and to have beta-read stories about within the last few months...that's some wild staying power, man.
15. What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
Oof, I've had a couple barely-started AU ideas for Ted Lasso that I am just 100% sure I'll never have the energy to write. Everything else, never say never! Either I don't want to finish and won't or I want to finish and might!
16. What are your writing strengths?
Detail, I think? I really love thinking about super-specific sensory experiences and exactly how a character would feel and respond, and trying to carve "meaning" from the ordinary little details that stack up to form life.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
I sometimes struggle with blocking and describing movements. I also struggle a lot with conveying big feeling transitions. For instance, I might be able to write yearning, and I might be able to write that same character in a reciprocal relationship with the person they once yearned for, but that moment when things change can be really hard to write.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
As long as it's in-character, yeah! I don't think I've really had cause to do this. The closest thing recently might be Rebecca sending a text message in Dutch. I didn't translate it; translating it wasn't required to understand the meaning of the story, so it was more like a bonus for anyone who cared to translate it.
I don't love it when a character who speaks multiple languages peppers their speech with random well-known-to-English-speaking-audiences words in a non-English language when it feels like the writers is just reminding the reader about this fact about the character. But I love it when it's done in a way that resembles how people actually switch between languages as they speak!
19. First fandom you wrote for?
The Devil Wears Prada, back in 2008!
20. Favorite fic you've ever written?
Fic I haven't published yet! Always gotta have aspirations. <3
"Lavender II" (Beard/Rebecca/Ted) is a fic that I worked incredibly hard on and feel proud of because it just ended up being what I wanted and needed it to be, so maybe that's my favorite out of stuff I've actually already written.
tagging in a no-pressure way: anyone who was tagged throughout my answers + @talldecafcappuccino @dollsome-does-tumblr @broadwayfreak5357 @itsagutthing @kittensittin @thesumdancekid @fandomfrolics @waywardted @sapphicscholar @majolination + anyone who sees this and wants to do it (I probably meant to tag you anyway!)

Have you noticed any trends/patterns in what makes you 'fannish' about something? (Particular mediums, character dynamics, aesthetics etc.) Also, is there anything you love but don't feel the impulse to engage in fandom with?
This was a really interesting question, and I had to sit and think about it for a while before feeling like I had some good conclusions to share with you, Anon! I think in general there's three things that have to be in the mix that get me feeling 'fannish'/involved in the fandom for something: 1) Regularly engaging with the source material 2) A good community 3) Space to play
I'll put the rest under a cut because I'm sure I'm about to ramble for a while
So, with regards to point one, it feels relevant to mention that I don't particular feel like I've been a member of too many fandoms. I'd say two, exactly -- Zombies, Run! and The Wayhaven Chronicles. I've dabbled with things like The Locked Tomb Series and Dragon Age of course, but I never necessarily felt like part of the fandom, just because it was so large and multifacted, and I only briefly engaged with it as someone who contributed to those respective fandoms. But with ZR and TWC, they're both things that have stuck around longer, mostly because I've continued to play them for a very long time. I got started with ZR about 10 years ago. When I was my most active with it was when I was going out literally every day and listening to missions, which helped keep the story and characters really fresh in my mind. It also helped me constantly think up new themes and ideas I really wanted to explore within the setting and with the characters. Similar with Wayhaven -- I played through all the books when Book 3 came out in April and I've more or less had a play-through going since then. My actual play-throughs have fallen a little on the wayside just because of life things but I'm still thinking about it & engaging with the source material a lot. So I guess my point is, to truly feel 'fannish' about something I need to be a little bit obsessed, lol!
As for my second point, I've truly felt my most 'fannish'/part of the fandom when I find a good community to interact with. One of my favorite parts of being a fan is actually getting to talk about the material in question -- play with it, theorize, etc. The Zombies, Run! Fandom when I joined was amazing for that, and there continued being a really good group constantly discussing meta on their Rofflenet website the entire time I was a player. There was even a weekly zoom book club to discuss the current releasing missions! It was awesome! And with Wayhaven I feel like I've found a really nice circle of mutuals to sit and talk about the books with (and also obviously, my dearest Delucadarling, who I constantly talk about it with). Which brings me to my last point, is I really like having a lot of space to 'play' and feel fannish. With ZR, it has a huge sprawling universe of a zombie apocalypse, and only a very small portion is shown to the players via the audio. It leaves a lot of room to imagine what happens around the missions. And with Wayhaven, since only a portion of the story is out, it leaves a lot of room to imagine with happens next to all the characters. That is the sort of thing I really find motivating! And there's for sure plenty of things I love that I don't really engage with the fandom for, or engage pretty lightly. For example, I've really been loving Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and Lower Decks, but I haven't really done more than chat with a few friends about it. Similarly for a lot of the books I read -- I'll talk about them with a friend or two but not really seek out a lot of online content for them. I also watch a lot of cooking competitions, lol, so that's different for me to. If you've stuck with me for this long thank you! I really appreciated the question and I hope you have a great day <3

20 questions for fic writers
Between bouts of scientific sexting, IKEA shopping, and emigration counselling, @urmomsonfire tagged me to do this. Thank you! And let's go.
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
22
2. What’s your total AO3 word count?
68,121 with special mention to the fact that I wrote 47,952 of them this year, the rest in the last five
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Currently Top Gun, mostly Tatort before that
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
all in bad taste
the sight of you leaves me weak
(toi et moi) dans la nuit on trouvera
And Everything Is You
chat with you, baby (flirt a little maybe)
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Always! One reason being that I think everyone who takes the time to leave a comment at least deserves a thank you. But I also just love the interaction with people in the comment section. I love how people can write entire essays down there and are willing to discuss it all with you and want to hear extra info and thoughts on your fics. I'm doing all this for the interaction, I think.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Nichts unversucht gelassen Dich zu hassen which no, will never have a second part thank you very much
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
I don't quite know how to quantify happiness but dare I say big boy, come on 'round? It's the fic with the latest stage in a relationship and basically shows that you can still be happy and sappy even after years of marriage and it's about the changes you experience and accept as you grow old together, which qualifies as happy ending I think.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
I can't remember that I ever have.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Me? Smut? Noooo. (The gay kind. The somnophilia kind.)
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
I haven't actually written any crossovers and I'm personally not a huge fan of them but there was a time when I was determined to write a Star Trek TOS/Tanz der Vampire crossover. It never worked out because I didn't find the time to do it due to unexpected changes in my life.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I know.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
I translated one of my fics once but I wouldn't count that. The translation was part of the process and is also really bad.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
throwing A Look in Someone's direction No. I have not.
14. What’s your all time favorite ship?
If I had to pick one ship for the rest of time than probably Spirk. Maybe Victorian bachelors Holmes and Watson because they're hilariously codependent.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
I don't know of that counts but I probably won't ever finish the Nachspiele series (if you care). I'm like 40 episodes behind and don't think I'll ever get back into it enough for me to care.
I also have a Hangster WIP which basically had the concept of telling their story through the years, including their first time and epic breakup and getting back together, through songs Bradley plays to Jake on a bar piano. But there were details I couldn't quite figure out so I abandoned it.
16. What are your writing strengths?
I think I'm good at visualising stuff for myself. I don't know if that translates to my writing/characterisations though. Also overthinking.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
First lines, last lines (or endings in general, knowing when to stop), titles. Plot. Not getting distracted but that's a general problem of mine.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
As in "incorporating dialogues with lines of another language into a fic"? I don't mind it when it's well done and adds to the story but I can't see myself doing it (maybe for the train fic).
19. First fandom you wrote for?
I'm going to take the very easy out here and say Tatort.
20. Favorite fic you’ve written?
This might surprise some of you but toi et moi! If, and I say IF, the cave fic turns out the way I want it to, that might be a strong contender, too, but it's also just really self indulgent, so.
No idea who has been tagged already but tagging uh @theinsouciantknitter, @perishablealex, @wordsonamission

fuck yeah I'll come talk to you! my goodness. I've long been hesitant to send asks to blogs I don't know or consider popular.
I followed you for your pjo writing, so I was very surprised to find out that your url is from matthew stover's ROTS novelisation. two-ish years ago I watched star wars for the first time and fell in love with the prequels, it is probably still the fandom I most interact with on here.
I notice most (all?) of your star wars fics on ao3 are sequel things. I haven't seen the sequels yet because of general negative internet sentiment towards them. although this is bad logic because the internet feels negatively about a lot of great things, including ("great" is subjective I suppose) the prequels.
as someone who still mainly associates you with pjo, I guess I'm just curious about you and star wars in general. did you watch the movies when they first came out? or did you, like me, discover them later? and would you care to make a case for watching the sequels?
and as an aside - how do you feel about anon asks. do you prefer when people are non-anon?
truly genuinely i dont think i've ever met a person on this website, Popular Online or not, who has been upset about receiving genuine asks. LIKE as someone who prefers to be approached rather than to approach people i very understand the reticence to make contact, but if you ever have hesitance because your brain is like 'ooooh they aren't gonna want to talk to meeeeeee' i really truly think you can let that one go. esp because anon is an option - the worst thing that happens is that someone doesn't respond, which is also not personal and is usually related to brain death on the part of the person receiving the ask
BASICALLY i really think that most people making themselves available on the social media want to use the media to be social - if they didn't, they'd close their ask box.
MAN okok i love to talk about a personal fandom history LOL star wars is a weird one for me! i came into the fandom extremely sideways - while it turns out i had watched at least one of the prequels in theatres as a child, i had somehow wiped all memory of them from my mind, leaving only a residual obsession with padme amidala's lipstick lingering in my hindbrain
so my first Real Encounter with star wars as a fan concept was via Livejournal Role Play lolol, the premise of which is that you would roleplay as characters either in an AU setting, or an isekai-your-character-was-captured-from-their-home-world-somehow setting. so i was playing sakura from naruto in a harry potter/final fantasy fusion AU (there's a fun sentence) when someone joined the game with Jaina Solo from the star wars extended universe, and i just thought the character and player were the fucking coolest?
so that's how i ended up learning about like, the post-original Star Wars trilogy EU books first LMAO and then eventually i watched the original trilogy and re-watched the prequel trilogy (this was back in 2009/10 so sequel series were not on the horizon at all). i rp'd a bunch of star wars characters in a bunch of games (most notably middle aged Leia from the later EU books and a man called Kyp Durron who i refuse to believe was not the template and inspiration for kylo ren), and also played the Knights of the Old Republic games, and eventually helped create and moderate an rp based on those games. so my first star wars creative endeavors were very rp based, and kotor based, and any fic i was writing at the time was like, kyp durron and alyss from a ya novel adaptation of alice in wonderland are falling in love in the harry potter/final fantasy fusion setting where we also included pokemon so kyp has a shuckle for a pet because jaina gifted it to him as a gag. all that fic is littered around the internet - lj accounts and dreamwidth accounts and defunct aim group chats, where you'd write stuff for like the three people who were into your extremely, impossible to replicate cross canon ship instead of doing your stats homework, it was heady shit.
the username came about after i decided to abandon my old internet handle/identity of 'feilyn' lolol. basically i made up 'feilyn' as a name for myself when i was like 15 and used it everywhere, which resulted in most online friends i made at the time calling me 'fei', which in turn got cuteified into 'feibean', which is what i originally called this blog right up until someone sent me an ask going 'hey feibean' and i went oh NO i HATE that, and decided that i needed a username that was like, Poetic and Pretty
the funniest part to me is that i hadn't actually read the stover novelisation at that time? i just knew about the passage it came from because a friend had quoted it at me before and i was like oh that's Beautiful. so i did probably the most pretentious thing in the process of making a pretentious internet handle, which was to refer to a thing i hadn't actually read (i have since read the novelisation LOL and highly recommend it to anyone into star wars i general, but especially if you feel the prequels had Great Themes and Poor Execution - the book does a much better job at the execution part)
SO by the time the sequel movies were announced i had been into star wars for like, 5, 6 years? and it had been a staple part of not only my creative life but also my social and romantic life, so i was primed to be fucking obsessed. at that point i wasn't journal rping anymore, and most of my creative energy was split between fic (pjo and grisha at the time) and trying to make my original book idea work (it did not), and i had gotten into the groove of Writing Fic For An Audience.
and then the first sequel movie came out and i fucking loved it! like sure it was a little derivative, but it had so much of what i loved about star wars in it, and it especially helped that kylo ren really did seem like a kyp durron expy, and i was right in the middle of my weird heterosexual lesbianism phase where all i wanted to write was Overpowered Man Gets Stepped On By Brunette Teenager He Underestimated so reylo hit me like a fucking freight train.
i think in the first month after that movie came out i wrote like, 21 fics in he space of a month. i went to my first ever music festival and was just lying in the tent writing fic on the budget smart phone i had bought so my actual phone didn't get stolen. it was SUCH a flurry of creative energy for me, because star wars before that point had been not a dead fandom, but certainly not a fandom that had a lot of Fic-Centric Life in the spaces i was in, and the movie brought so much new blood and voices and interest and readers to the canon. so if i told people i felt like writing x thing and asked for prompts, i'd get like 10 or 12 requests at a time - more than i could fulfill, certainly, but also so many that it really fed the fire of my interest and determination to Provide Content
and then, you know, the Drama and the Discourse and the weird creation of shipping as identity where people became A Reylo instead of shipping reylo, and this formation of Antis as a thing, and on and on until fandom in general becomes this place of adversarial combat that is supposed to reflect on your ethics and moral as a person and Oh Man i do remember being exhausted by all of these arguments at the time (and now tbh, but these days i am not actively participating in them). eventually i dropped out of star wars as a fandom from like, creative and discourse burnout i think, and also my relationships with the friends i shared the fandom with were changing, and i was also changing as a person and then TROS came out and was really a death knell to any joy i'd gotten out of the fandom or canon from that point.
as for a case for watching the sequels - i think if you can watch them without needing them to Be Anything In Particular, you can have a good time with them. like, for example, i think TROS was an objectively bad fucking movie, but i had a lot of fun when i watched it because i went it with a baseline of curiosity about how or if abrams could pull this off, and the answer was 'by trying to split every fandom argument of the last 4 years down the exact middle' and 'no, he can't pull it off'. that shit isn't a movie, it's a video response to every star wars trending topic between 2015-2019. and at the time of viewing, this was very fucking funny to me. i had a ball.
SO if you can watch them with the contextual understanding of like, these are massive corporate enterprises created by committee, with different people at the helm of different movies who had very different understandings on what the point of this trilogy was, i genuinely think they can be a good time. there's pew pew lasers, there are some real affecting moments, and there is a lot of bewildered amusement to be had at nature of attempting to create Billion Dollar Art.
if you are looking for a story that is going to leave you feeling fulfilled and as though the creators had consideration and respect for either their viewers, their actors, or the story they were telling, then give them a pass. like i really really think there is a lot of fun and interest to be had in watching the sequels for both 'here is a space fantasy laser fun time' reasons and 'what does art look like when it's primary purpose is to create obscene amounts of wealth based off the nostalgia of nerds but also the concept of modernising a franchise for the 21st century' reasons, and these are both big reasons why i engage in any kind of media LOL
but i also understand the special place star wars holds in a lot of people's hearts, and not wanting to engage in material thatg feels like it has sucked a lot of the joy out of that special place is always legit. so like, if you are intrigued, give them a shot, and if you find yourself hating the experience then stop watching. trust ur heart babe
FINALLY i have no strong opinion on whether people are anon or signed in! it's all about your comfort level truly, i do not put emphasis on one mode or another. sometimes people will send me something signed in and ask me to respond privately, which i am always happy to do, and sometimes people will send messages anon, but identify themselves as like 'oh im the anon who asked about sunflowers, i'm sunflower anon'. SO YEAH whatever combination of identifiers is personally comfortable for the person sending the ask is how i prefer people to communicate.
THANK U for ur ask clearly i love to Talk & Engage and i appreciate u giving me the opportunity <3 <3

I saw a few people mention me as someone they still thought of as a "big blog" and wanted to just make a little post :] a hug and a flower for each of u if you want them
For those who already know me, I'm still here sometimes! I do a lot more lurking than interacting these days because I don't really know the newer blogs or happenings that well. but I'm scooting along! I was largely off of Tumblr for a while for religious reasons, but am fully back now. My writing is very little and very scattered, but I still hope to return to bigger projects at some point. (I have at least one very self-indulgent Sophitz fic I wrote a little bit of, but don't have any plans to publish right now. It's not very in-character, I think, so I'm not sure anyone would want to read it. I also do still have the coffee shop AU in my head constantly, but am struggling to have the mental energy to bring it to the point I want it to be at.) If you've been thinking of me, that is so kind of you, and I can't believe that anyone still mentions my name on here. I'm alive, and I still love KotLC so much!
If you don't know me and are curious about seeing me mentioned, hi! I'm Catherine! (Some people also call me Cath, and that's okay too.) I'm mostly known here, I think, for loving Sophitz, as well as formerly owning the wiki—I'm coming up on six years of editing on it! I also love writing analysis and meta, largely related to Sophie and Fitz (individually and together), and am known for the occasional cursed edit (the fitzpocalypse may have been largely my fault...). I also coined the term "keepblr" and will never shut up about that. I don't post a lot these days, but this fandom will always be my home. This series and the many years I've been in its fandom are a large reason I am who I am, and I'm always super happy to chat with other fans. :]
So that's what I'm up to! This is very long, but I was so excited to see my name mentioned and felt compelled to do a little update/intro/brain dump. So hello! And I'm sorry for all the times I haven't replied to tags or asks; I see them, and I love them so much, (and if you are so inclined, please do keep tagging me and sending asks), but I am still in a place where I have a hard time keeping up with even my own life sometimes. So just know that I really do love talking to you guys! As you may be able to tell by the length of this post, which I really should end. So goodbye!

wanted to thank you for bringing dimension 20 into my life i've done nothing but live and breathe their campaigns since <33
i finished a crown of candy and the first season of the unsleeping city (the covid format of the second season is making it harder for me to fucus, so i'm delaying it) and i started neverafter today. i'm dying to hear all your thoughts, so if you don't mind writing 300 pages i'd love to read it <3 here are a couple of mine:
liam is everything to me, i love him i am him and personally i would have went way harder on the ppl who killed (spoiler); i have a crush on emily, but i'm guessing so does everyone else?; sophia and dale the only straight couple i care about <3; i need a pete lookbook like i've never needed anything else; wally is the most character ever; don confetti's voice is everything to me; the people who make the sets are superhuman and if i was in a group chat with ricky it could cure me
ps i can't watch the ravening war bc i'm pirating it and have to wait for the season to end, so i can't talk about that yet <33
GOD acoc had me in PIECES when it came out. the fandom was (and still is) in shambles over calroy and amethar’s potential unsaid past romantic relationship. the amount of sexy cake fanart i witnessed was crazy. i wish you were there 😞 i love every character lou plays, he’s just so me. acoc was also the first time d20 had major character deaths AAAAAA. i was broken </3 i loved everyone from the major cast but my favorite character was my hot pirate cheese wife captain annabelle cheddar 🧎 brennan loves a sexy masc woman I SWEAR. every d20 season there’s one
every sofia and dale interaction made me ball up and CRY. they’re just so perfect for each other. GOD WHEN YOU FINISH SEASON 2 ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️ probably the most i’ve ever cried during a d20 season. pete gets even better in s2
haven’t started neverafter 🧍🏽 i heard it was heartbreaking and i’m not ready.
also idk if you know this but emily and murph are married! they have a separate dnd podcast called not another dnd podcast (naddpod) where murph is the dm. sometimes they have the d20 cast guest star. super fun and it’s free, but not actual play!
other seasons of d20 i’d recommend are fantasy high (it’s 2 seasons and it has 2 spin-off series: the seven and pirates of leviathan. brennan’s wife, izzy, is among the cast of the seven!), tiny heist, and starstruck odyssey (based off a comic series of the same name that brennan’s mom wrote in the 80s).

Welcome to A Touch of Whimsy, where the magical meets the mundane, and everyday life gets just a sprinkle of fairy dust.
I'm an Audhd writer whose pen dances between the realms of fanfiction and the original but... let's be honest here..They're all a work in progress.
When I'm not immersed in writing or otherwise daydreaming, or working. I'm indulging in my hobby of roleplay, I've been here since I was 14 years old, and trust me, I haven't hit the pause button since. Oh, and you can't forget my love for all things anime. Maybe I'm not as intense as the next fan, but hey, diversity is the spice of life right?
As for my other fandoms, where to begin? It's like a kaleidoscope, as my tastes in tv shows, movies and anime are about as widespread as you can get but, here are a few
Doctor who has always been a love of mine, especially nine and ten!
Obey me! Shall we date? This game, this series, these seven demons have my heart and my soul and I'm not even sorry!
My hero academia: I started watching the show and picked it up and put it down a lot and all but Aizawa, Hawks, Shigaraki and Dabi always have a place in my heart!
Currently trying to get into Attack on Titan and Demon Slayer as I've heard nothing but good things and kinda wanna try it out. I'm a little late to the fandoms but I'm getting there..Whoops
Star Wars, I got into it when I was younger and love the stories,
Game of Thrones, it still holds a place in my heart,
The witcher, although I haven't watched the newer season yet I'm still a part of the fandom but I sort of love it from afar now.
Marvel and DC, while I'm more of a Marvel bean I do enjoy DC quite a lot, maybe not the movies so much but I like the cartoons nonetheless.
There are so many anime on my list and it would take far too long to explain all of them, so yeah I love anime and have watched several..
I am generally a really friendly person, who vibes and likes to hang out with people, If you follow me, I will usually follow back. Unless you are an ageless blog, as I don't have any clue on how old you are, and will not follow minors or allow Minors to follow me!
So let this be a gentle reminder for everyone...

This is not a playground for anyone under 18, so if you've found yourself here by mistake, I kindly request that you exit stage left. Please!
Now, If you're a MAP (Minor Attracted Person) or any supporter of it, let's make things crystal clear: Exit is right there, with no exceptions, ifs, ands, or buts. You are about as welcome as a snowball in summer on my blog,
Hate? We don't have time for that on this blog. If you've come here deciding that Today is the day And I am the one? please do a 180-degree turn before I hit that block button. Zero tolerance. None. Bullying is cringe.
But if you're none of the above, and you're here to chat, roleplay, and make friends, you're warmly welcomed!
This is a sanctuary, a safe space. So grab your best cosplay or comfiest PJs, snag a snack, and let's relish in the chaos together!
Tumblr media
If you have questions feel free to ask, if you want to roleplay feel free to ask but I do have my rules so if you're at all interested please feel free to interact.

Hope you're feeling better! I just wanted to say that maybe try to remember that many of the big or notable names of content creators, specifically artists on tumblr for the tts fandom, are also active on other sites. I know people say over and over to not compare your art to others, but some of these people have been online for yearssss, thus building a community for those years as well! And also with your recent art doing so well, I have no doubt you'll be right up with those groups of names in the future!
Oh wow, thank you so much for these kinds words! I'm not exaggerating when I say I teared up! I always feel amazingly touched when people take the time to be this nice!
And I completely agree and understand! I don't really compare myself to big names in the fandom. I do (and shouldn't) sometimes end up comparing myself to smaller creators who I'm mutuals with.
But a lot of my anxiety comes from a series of overthinking. 'Oh, nobody re-blogged this piece, is it because I posted it at a bad time? Is the art ugly? Or is it because they can't be seen interacting with me because somebody somewhere is talking about how I'm a horrible person?'
A very unreasonable and sudden jump. I am 100% working on it!
It's just a lot harder for me to get back into tumblr compared to other sites, both because of an experience I had with it when I was a teenager... and because of the more recent hate I received on this account (the anon asks for those who remember...).
I don't really aspire to be a big name! Mostly cause big names aren't as approachable and my goal is more to chat about the show I love? Something that I think would be harder if people weren't approaching me?
But the smile it brings to my face that you think I could be one! See, now you're inspiring me to want to draw even more!
But anyway, ending on your first statement (order, what's that?):
Hope you're feeling better!
I am! I'm still limiting my access to tumblr. It's off the phone and I have to log in every time on pc so as to make sure I'm only coming in when in a good mindset.
But I'm still making sure to log in every so often to check messages and stuff I've been tagged in, post art if I have some and feel up to it.
I am definitely feeling better. And I hope to keep on track and be back to my usual self sooner rather than later :D
I'm in a bit of a shy bubble right now but I do look forward to talking to people on here again soon!
Thankyou again for the kind words! I know this answer was long and... well, a bit rambly! I probably should work on that too! But I'm super grateful!

I guess it's time for me to have one of these posts where I express my feelings. I know these can be long. Mine will probably be long too. But please, stick it out. I would really appreciate it if you did.
So, like several other amazing creators on this platform, I've started to feel the effects of not receiving much interaction. I do want to take the time to tremendously thank all of the amazing people who do interact with me! I love you all! 💖
However, I really don't get comments and I hardly ever get reblogged unless it's me reblogging myself. Those of you who also write/create know how that feels. Tumblr was a place for me to come and start writing again when I was at one of, if not the, darkest time in my life. I found people I could connect with and that I shared interests with and for that I will always thank Tumblr.
Now though, while I still have the amazing people and community, it seems like the writing doesn't hold the same joy anymore. Maybe that's me. Maybe I just don't enjoy it as much. Or maybe it's because I feel like other people don't enjoy it the way they used to. Yes, I love writing things for myself but even more, I love sharing them with other people! And recently that just hasn't been the same.
So with that all being said, I'm not leaving. Promise! I just want to ask you all what it is you would like. I'm going to try and change things and see what happens. If that improves things then great! And if not? Well then I'm at the same place I started.
Let me start off with Thank you to any and everyone who made it this far into the post. I'm grateful you took time out of your day for me 💗 Secondly, I still have one Song Fic in the works for @nalledimessi that I promise I didn't forget about!
Now, on to the ideas portion. I'm going to give a few I have and I would love feedback! But I also want any ideas you have too! Send me a message, send a chat, comment on this post! I want to know what it is you all want to see!
Idea 1: Series based around Natasha and my OC Anastasia and how they got together
Idea 2: Song Fic (Start a War by Klergy and Valerie Broussard) Where reader is and Avenger and Psychic. Set during the accords meeting with Ross during C.A.C.W
Idea 3: Only take requests if/when they come in but always keep requests open
Idea 4: If I have some knowledge of it, branching out into other fandoms
Please let me know your opinions and your ideas if you have others! And again thank you for making it this far! I love you all!!! 💝

35, 36, 37, 48, 49, 50?
35. What aspects of your writing are completely unlike your real life?
I don't know if there is one specific aspect where my writing and my life are completely unlike one another. There are things that are similar and things that are completely different. I draw from my own experiences like every writer. But I write about places I've never been or places completely made up and enjoy thinking about different dynamics or stories that are completely new to me.
36. Do you visualize what you read/write?
I try to, but I have discovered that my visualization skills are not as sharp as other people I know. I think that's why I gravitate toward fic for visual mediums where some of those cues are already given. I am often drawn to very vibrant, striking imagery because that's what I need to really visualize something myself.
37. Promote one of your own “deep cut” fics (an underrated one, or one that never got as much traction as you think it deserves!). What do you like about it?
I think that I often write my better stuff as time goes along and by then the fandom has cooled off a bit and so they don't get read as much. My last two long fics in Cherry Magic were probably my best ones but yeah, they have been read less. They're Adachi the Brave Archer and Momo Maho. I also wrote/finished both for Big Bangs so they each have fantastic art too. One is just a lot of mythology and world building that was fun to create. The other has some themes and style in a way that I don't always hit on so well. I really like them both.
48. What’s the last fic you read? Do you recommend it?
One in Five Billion by my friend, @tenillypo. She has slowly coaxed me into the DMBJ fandom and yes, I would definitely recommend this and anything else she writes. She is my fave fic author. She also finished this CQL fic for me and it's definitely one of my favorites.
49. What are you currently working on? Share a few lines if you’re up for it!
I am currently working on a Bad Buddy Series exchange fic that I must keep secret, secret, but I am also working on many others. Most recently I am trying to finish up Somebody to You.
Here's a few lines of the next chapter of that one:
Jaeyoung pointedly looked at the driver and tightened his tie more. It was a strange impulse Sangwoo felt, wanting to reach over and take the tie out of Jaeyoung’s hand to release the tension and figure out what was wrong. Still, he wasn’t an idiot. He didn’t always know why Jaeyoung was experiencing particular feelings, but he could tell when not to push him.
50. Answer any question of your choice, or talk about anything you want to talk about!
I just really appreciate the ask anon! I write fic in large part to talk with people about the fandoms I love and sometimes when the fic is harder to write and I'm not posting as much, I interact with people less and I miss chatting about the characters I love. I don't think I'm the only one who feels this way, but sometimes tumblr and twitter feel like very lonely places. It's definitely not always the case, but it's easy to feel like most people are just scrolling past you and not actually interacting and most of what you put out there to reach out is just yelling into the void.
From questions for fic writers.

3 + 11 + 13 + 16 ?
You didn't specify a fandom, so I'll just pick ones I feel passionate about LOL
3. screenshot or description of the worst take you've seen on tumblr
FUCKK it has to be after Muu's MV came out, I saw someone say she faked her T1 MV... which is literally impossible... The Milgram fandom lost all of its reading comprehension the second the series became more character studies than murder mystery and you can see it in the T2 results... her whole MV is her lying to herself about how she felt about her murder and her ex-friends/bullies... she doesn't want to see herself as a victim, so since her MV isn't presenting her as one since it reflects her mental state, suddenly she is lying about something that she literally has no control over.
11. number of fandom-related words you've filtered
Honestly... not too many? I pretty much only filter for spoiler reasons, I'd rather know whos reblogging/posting things that make me uncomfortable so I can block them rather than filtering it out of my dash. I think I have like 4 spoiler filters up currently
13. worst blorboficiation
I already answered this for WH, so I'll answer this for ZENO now! The way people characterize Kuro in a lot of the fandom really rubs me the wrong way.. They tend to reduce him down to solely his need for love, and not only that people tend to put that focus on specifically his need for love from Aki. While I understand it's a significant part of his character, it's also something he grows past in his development, and I see a lot of focus on it only after his Zeno activates but before Aki regains his own memories so it's just not to my taste to be completely honest. I'd love to see deeper analyses into the nuances of his character outside of his search for affection, but honestly I'm not sure if we'd get it from this fandom LOL. I would write analyses myself, but I'm more of the passively absorb every aspect to this character type than "ah yes he acts like this because of this aspect of his past here is the evidence" character essay type...
16. you can't understand why so many people like this thing (characterization, trope, headcanon, etc)
OH MY GOD I FINALLY HAVE AN EXCUSE TO TALK ABOUT THIS WHY DOES EVERYONE LIKE QKAI. Like it's cute, don't get me wrong, but I dont understand the basis for it outside of Q-taro being one of the people to bring Kai up again later. They don't have like any super significant interactions together, and it ends up feeling a lot like a case of them being the leftovers of pairing everyone else off with one another...
Questions! (Still taking these its nice to chat abt fandom opinions :) )
