By my side
Characters: Kelly Severide x Platonic!Reader, Matt Casey x Platonic!Reader, Sylvie Brett x Platonic!Reader
Warnings: Toxic men, abuse, protective firefighters.
Summary: You should've been better but at least your family is by your side.
A/N: For the sake of this, there'll be two ambulances which means two PIC's.
This has been sitting in my drafts for months unfinished and I suddenly decided to finish it after work on the train. Also couldn't be asked to proofread so sorry for any mistakes!! And I know this aesthetic thing sucks but it's been a long day and I'm tired, so sorry again. 😅😅
Tumblr media
Being a paramedic had always been your dream.
Growing up in a first responder household: firefighter dad and patrol officer mum, paramedics were a constant presence around them. So, it was only natural that was were you gravitated towards.
Following this, working at firehouse 51 was a given since that was where your father was a Captain at till he became battalion chief and moved to another house.
Your family had history in this house, making it somewhat sacred ground for anyone who shared your family's surname.
Yes, there had been times when you had to prove your worth and that you weren't a nepo baby but your family in everything but blood were always somehow five steps ahead of you.
So it only made sense that when you started to skip going to Molly's and skimping on details about what you did during your day offs, that they were concerned and confused to say the least.
Six months later, after nearly holding an intervention, you introduced everyone to your boyfriend Mason.
It was safe to say, everyone had their suspicions, even after being together for a year. All of which you excused, diverting and switching blame.
*****
You thought that you were finally happy with how everything in your life was settling but all of a sudden, fate decided that stability wasn't necessary for you.
Shouting and constant arguing should've been the first sign, blaring as bright as the sun, warning and shouting at you to break it off before reaching the one year mark but you briskly ignored it and marched on.
Then, the drinking problems, anger problems and impatience were made alight when you started living together. (he invited you to move in with him when celebrating one year together)
You found yourself not liking the man he started becoming the longer you were together. It irked you to no end and you constantly were skittish around him, finding it harder to have a civil conversation with him the more time passed.
It seemed that your feelings somehow transferred themselves over to your work life because you were suddenly snapping at the stand-in paramedic for Sylvie when she was sick for a petty reason.
The PIC in you forced you to immediately apologise before Kelly dragged you into his office, Matt following without a word.
Naturally, the three of you including Sylvie had a bond of 'commanding officers' as you were all in charge in some degree and over several years, the work relationship blossomed and the four of you were as thick as thieves.
It also helped that Matt and Kelly worked with your father and knew you from their pre-firefighter and your pre-paramedic days.
Under their concern filled gazes, you found yourself crumbling, eyes all of a sudden filled with tears from the stress of it all.
They couldn't help but confirm their fears which you tried to deny incessantly, for some reason defending Jason and explaining that this could all be fixed and everything would be back to normal in no time.
If only you didn't.
*****
Over the past year, everyone found you changing.
The stern but loving PIC you once were had become but a memory. It was as though you were a shell of your past self, something of which you agreed with.
Mason was draining the life out of you and the only time you weren't losing yourself to him was during your 24 hour shifts before being surrounded by him for the next 48.
You tried your best to leave, you really did but at some point in your now two year relationship, things took an abrupt turn and Mason had become this toxic, controlling man who has a newfound urge to resort to violence when you were being your true self.
Being PIC meant you had an amount of power under your title and after many years of work, you had perfected your nature. It's why you and Sylvie were so good at what you did; you used force when necessary and compassion was always on hand.
Over the course of the past year, you found yourself on the end of many interventions held by Matt, Kelly and Sylvie.
With all the reasons in the world, they argued and argued with you, laying out the easiest ways to break you free. They were as desperate as you were at this point to get you to break up with Jason. They missed and needed the old you back.
Unbeknownst to you, they schemed behind your back, trying and failing to convince you to leave Mason for good but you found yourself pathetically laughing at them before going home to endure hell.
You struggled to understand your behaviour. Abuse to this degree was something you never you experience firsthand and you would never wish it upon your worst enemies.
On sleepless nights, you constantly contemplated why you wouldn't leave. You wanted to, you really did but then you could hear him whisper in your ear and you remained firmly glued to his side.
So badly did you want to rip your arm out his earth shattering grip and run back home, to the safety of love and familiarity.
Your final decision was set in stone when he finally made his mark a month ago, fingertips bruised into your wrist when he wouldn't let you leave his car in front of the firehouse.
"Alright then, thank you for dropping me off. I'll see you tomorrow." You said, pressing your lips together in a tight smile, hand reaching for the door handle while the other fiddled with the handle of your tote bag.
He replied with something, you weren't too sure because you were already out the car, closing the door with practised precision and gentleness.
Your expressionless face brightened at the sight of your colleagues/friends/basically siblings at this point. The firehouse and all its inhabitants were truly your saving grace and without it, you weren't too sure where you would be.
Just as you were going to walk up the apron to meet them halfway, you were being pulled back by a random force. It was so sudden that you dropped your bag, your things spilling out as they rolled away.
You yelped, attracting the attention of those who weren't previously paying attention to your arrival in their mortal enemies car.
Scrunching your eyebrows, you turned to Mason in confusion, your eyes following the hand gripping your wrist to his face you were once infatuated with.
"What the hell Mason?!" You said with gritted teeth, trying to escape but he wouldn't let go. "Stop, your making a scene."
Before he could reply, several shouts came from behind you and before you knew it, you were being pulled into comforting arms as big and bulky men dealt with Mason.
"Oh Y/N." Sylvie's heart melted for you while it ignited in flames because of Mason. With your bag in one of her hands, she somehow collected all of your things, she brought you into her arms and hugged you tighter than a koala.
"Let me see your hand." She muttered under her breath, unbothered by the fuming men huddling around you in a protective barrier, on guard as they watched Matt and Kelly deal with Mason on the street.
She sucked in a sharp breath through her teeth at the finger shaped bruise on your wrist, you copying her when she lightly touched it. Despite her angelic exterior, you saw a red glint flash across her eyes, one you rarely saw but had seen several times before on the rare occasion.
If this was her reaction, then you were dreading Matt and Kelly's.
And your feelings were very much justified because as soon as they sent Mason away, you found yourself being subject to a very strong worded conversation.
They played the role of overprotective brothers perfectly. With the help of detectives who you were lucky to call good friends, your plan was set in stone and would take a week to fully come together.
Despite how meticulously everything was planned, you somehow ended up in the emergency room. Surrounded by doctors and nurses you recognised, you felt their sympathy and felt nearly emotional with the care that greeted you.
Thanking Maggie, you smiled and watch the charge nurse leave but you weren't alone for even a minute before three certain people came barging in.
With wide eyes, they drank in your slouched figure.
Matt looked alarmed, Kelly disgruntled and Sylvie on the edge of a breakdown.
You choked out a watery laugh, harshly swallowing back tears as you shook your head and blinked repeatedly. Releasing a shaky breath, you felt your chest tighten as your oxygen was constricted before it was all treated when enveloped in the loving arms of your 'siblings'.
Had it not been for your intense emotional state, you would've barked out in laughter at the anger displayed by Kelly who imitated a caged lion, Matt who spewed words Hank Voight would find offensive and Sylvie who played parts of a mother comforting their daughter but also Satan prepared to burn and punish sinners.
Your pain was muted by their presence alone. With their constant love and never-ending companionship by your side, you were sure to heal.

Amidst the chaos | Sylvie Brett
Tumblr media
Pairing: Sylvie Brett x Reader
Summary: You're involved in a big accident on the highway. You aid a woman who is about to give birth with the help of your paramedic girlfriend on the phone.
Warnings: Car crashes, and delivering a baby. If there's inaccuracies in the actual child birth, I am sorry, like reader I don't actually know the steps.
Masterlist | Chicago Fire masterlist | Words: 1.3k
You were driving home from work, when a few cars ahead of you, you saw a truck reacting to the traffic around it and ending up crossed over the highway. You hit the brakes as fast as you could but before you knew it your car got hit in the back, which made you hit the car in front of you as well. It caused a chain reaction of car crashes around you but it took you a moment to process what had happened, but once you did you tried getting out of your car.
Once you got out of your car you checked to see if you were hurt in any way that the adrenaline wasn’t letting you feel. When you couldn’t find anything you looked around and saw that a lot of cars had crashed along with yours. “Help!” You hear. “We need help!” The call snaps you out of your shock and you run to their aid, seeing as not many people have gotten out of their cars yet. You get to the man calling out and ask what’s wrong. “My wife, help my wife.” You move to the other side of their car and manage to open the door after a couple of tries. She’s breathing heavily, but you saw no major injuries. “What’s hurting you ask?” The wife just screams out in pain, so the husband answers for her. “We were on our way to the hospital, she’s in labor.”
You look around but don’t see a way for you to get her around this chaos. “Okay, here’s what we are going to do okay. I need you to turn my way okay and then I’m going to check you out, okay?” The woman nods and you help turn her your way. You can already see the baby’s head, the baby wasn’t waiting. “Okay, keep breathing for me. What are your names?” The husband answers again, “I am Rick and my wife’s name is Brooke.” - “Okay Rick, Brooke, I am y/n. My partner is a paramedic, so I am going to call her and she’s going to walk us through this okay. Rick, do you think you can do the breathing exercises with Brooke?”
After taking a deep breath you press call. She’s currently on shift, so you were hoping that she would be able to pick up. Without her guidance you didn’t know what you were doing, you had no medical training whatsoever. In your head you were saying pick up, pick up, pick up until you heard the call connect and Sylvie was on the other side of the phone. “Hi baby, you’re on speaker, Vi is with me. I’m sorry, I’m on a call and I can't really talk right now. I’ll call you back when we’re back at 51 okay?”
“Wait, Sylvie, I need your help. There was a big pile up on the highway, maybe thirty cars or so.” Before you can finish Sylvie interrupts you, “Baby, are you okay? The highway pile up is our call. We’re on our way.” You hadn’t realized that she would think that something was wrong with you so you quickly reassured her. “I’m okay, I’m not hurt. I do need your help though. I’m with a woman who is about to give birth here on the highway and help won’t come in time, I can already see the head. I’m going to need you to walk me through delivering this baby.” You place your phone on the dashboard once Sylvie and Violet told you to put it on speaker phone. “Okay Brooke, this is my partner Sylvie and her coworker Violet, they are going to talk us through this, are you ready?” Brooke nods and says, “Yes, I need this pain to be over.” She ends her sentence with another scream.
You help Brooke scoot to the edge of the seat and tell her where to place her feet. Next you take off your sweater to use it as a makeshift blanket like Sylvie told you. “Okay, Brooke, you’re doing great. The next time you feel a contraction coming you have to push.” It takes less than a minute for her next contraction to hit. “That’s it Brooke, push, push, push.” Your eyes are focussed on the baby's head. “Sylvie, the head is out, what now?” You had already reached up to support the baby’s head. “At the next contraction push again, the shoulders will be the hardest part Brooke, but after that it’s done. You’ve got this.”
Sylvie and Violet arrive at the accident scene before the next contraction starts. They get out of the ambulance and grab their bags quickly and take a moment to look at the accident, looking for you. “Where are you?” Sylvie asks. “Like four cars away from the truck that is blocking the road.” You tell them just before Brooke’s next contraction. “This is it Brooke, push as hard as you can.”
Violet grabs the gurney and tells Sylvie to get to you. “Gallo!” Violet calls over when she sees him getting out of Truck 18. “Help me get this gurney over to y/n.” Gallo rushes to her side, “Y/n’s in this?” They rush the gurney your way as she explains what was going on.
Brooke was working hard on her latest contraction, with one last big push the shoulders are freed and the baby easily slides out the rest of the way. Sylvie runs up behind you just as the baby is born and you wrap the blanket around her. Just as Sylvie sits down by your side the baby starts crying. You sigh with relief, knowing that the baby is okay. “Congratulations on your beautiful baby girl.” You say with tears in your eyes. Sylvie cuts the umbilical cord and the baby’s parents watch their newborn with awe.
You step aside to let Sylvie inspect Brooke. Violet and Gallo join you with the gurney. You stand to the side with the baby in your arms as Sylvie and Violet help Brooke onto the gurney. On the other side of the car, Gallo uses his halligan to open Rick’s door. You all get back to the ambulance together. You ride to the hospital with them for the young family to get checked out. They both thanked you for what you did and asked for your number to stay in contact.
Sylvie and Violet take you to the firehouse in the ambulance since your car was totaled, but you were glad that your car got the worst of it and you were fine. You stayed at the firehouse until Sylvie’s shift was over, talking to everyone that would listen about your experience of delivering a baby. Sylvie was immensely proud of you, not only for delivering the baby, but also of the fact that your first instinct was to help people.
Once Sylvie’s shift was over you decided today was worth celebrating with a dinner date. At dinner you got a text from an unknown number. You smile down at your phone when you realize that it’s Brooke. She sent you a picture of their little girl and the message read. Thank you for helping us bring this wonder into our lives. We would like you to officially meet Lucy y/n Smith. You tear up looking at the name they gave their little girl and show the message to Sylvie. She squeezes your hand, “You deserve it, you were incredible out there.”
With a full heart you let Sylvie take you home where you spend the rest of the evening cuddling up to her on the couch as your adrenaline had finally simmered down and your exhaustion started to hit. Sylvie held you in her arms as she watched the movie playing on the TV.

comforting them after a bad day [ chicago fire ]
⋯ CHARACTERS ; matt casey, kelly severide, leslie shay, sylvie brett, stella kidd, brian ‘otis’ zvonecek, joe cruz, christoper herrmann, violet mikami, evan hawkins, greg grainger
Tumblr media
⋯ MATT CASEY
when matt has experienced a bad day, he tends to get very quiet. sometimes even a little snippy whenever he’s asked if he’s alright. he recognizes that acting this way isn’t going to make his day any better, but it takes his a little bit. let him clam down, and once he’s done that, he’ll seek you out. quietly apologize for being snippy, and telling you that he’s just had a bad day. you can ask him how his day was -- he’ll tell you everything and at some point, slowly wraps his arms around you and leans his head atop your shoulder. inhaling your scent immediately calms him and he’s already starting to feel better
⋯ KELLY SEVERIDE
kelly tends to let everything build up. almost insisting he is fine and there’s nothing to truly worry about. and no matter how much you push, he’ll maintain the same story. until something just absolutely breaks him and everything that he’s kept bottled up for month finally comes pouring out. he’ll cry -- more of his eyes tearing up as he refuses to let them fall. but he practically falls into your grasp as you pull him into a hug. it’s really all he needs, just the comfort of having you near him as he talks about different things and lays his heart out on the table. card your fingers through his hair and just tell him that ‘it’s gonna be okay’. that’s all he needs for now
⋯ LESLIE SHAY
leslie, much like kelly, can be stubborn when it comes to talking about any bad days. however, she’s different as she’ll give one of the briefest overviews -- almost as if she’s giving a report, and then insist that she’s fine. all of her emotions comes out when she drinks, and you can tell she was anything but fine, considering the amount of drinks she’s already had. she’ll crumble into your arms, looking for your warmth as she begins to babble about her day and everything she was feeling. she’ll cling to you, but it’s truly something she needs as you’ve noticed her start to calm the longer and tighter you hold her
⋯ SYLVIE BRETT
sylvie will seek out comfort after a bad day. honestly, any type of comfort will help, but if given the option, she wants to spend her time cuddled into your side with her head resting either against your shoulder or chest. she doesn’t talk much about her day -- only just to tell you that it wasn’t one she would want to experience again before eventually falling asleep. she feels better with you, nothing you have to do aside from allowing her to cuddle up to you
⋯ STELLA KIDD
stella gets all quiet and short tempered. it almost takes you by surprise, until she makes a comment about her day. to which you ask her what she needs -- as she often wants different things depending on what had taken place. and once she makes her request, you’re dropping everything to do it. often, her go-to answer is to ask to be held in some way. honestly whichever way is comfortable for the two of you at the time.
⋯ BRIAN ‘OTIS’ ZVONECEK
brian is going to get super quiet after a bad day. meaning that whatever had taken place, must have really hit him hard. like most of the others, he will seek you out almost immediately. he needs comfort and wants to decompress from what he experienced for the day. kiss away his tears, hold him tight -- he’ll take literally any form of comfort so long as you are willing to give the time
⋯ JOE CRUZ
joe takes a lot of things to heart, and while he’s been able to keep himself from taking each thing he wasn’t able to do so personally, there are times in which he can’t help but feel that. especially after a bad day. he’ll seek you out, looking for some comfort as he gets the day off his chest. he’ll immediately wrap you up in his arms, tucking his face into your shoulder. he won’t talk about it right away, wanting to see you and tell himself that seeing you is better than any bad day he’s experienced. and while he’ll come clean about his day eventually, he’s just wanting to spend as much time with you as possible
⋯ CHRISTOPHER HERRMANN
christopher tends to get angry -- never directed towards one person, just as his frustration of the day grows, it gathers to a point where he may explode and accidentally take his anger out on the closest person. he realizes that mistake literally seconds later and calms down immediately. taking a few deep breaths before sitting down to tell you. he finds comfort in your touch and will show you by kissing your knuckles before apologizing. he’ll spend the night making it up to you, and in turn, it helps him settle in and finally gain some closure for the day
⋯ VIOLET MIKAMI
violet will put on a brave face and will power through the rest of her shift until she can have a moment to decompress. which is usually once she gets home and she can let her emotions out about her bad day. depending on the scale, there will be tears and she’ll hold onto you tightly as she lets it all out. she wants to be with you, and most likely won’t be getting up from her spot unless you manage to coax her to either eat or take a shower. otherwise, she’ll be content laying against you until she feels ready enough to detach herself form you
⋯ EVAN HAWKINS
if anything, evan grows more frustrated with himself. slowly begins to fall down the rabbit hole of ‘what ifs’. trying to think about what he could have done differently to change the course of the day he’s been having. he’s patience wears a little thinner and sometimes he can be a bit of a pain to have a conversation with. until he gets home and he crumbles, talking your ear off about how his day had been until he practically runs out of breath. he feels better afterward and can usually move past that day but it will always stick with him as he could have done better
⋯ GREG GRAINGER
greg tends grow quiet, almost closing in on himself and trying his best to get through the rest of his shift before going home. the second walks through the door, he’s immediately finding wherever you are in your shared home and latching onto you with already tear blurred eyes. he doesn’t really want to talk about it just yet, just needs to hear you talk gently to him and hold him close. he’’l eventually come clean about what took place, but he needs his own time to think through what had happened

Home for the New Year | s.b.
Tumblr media
Pairing: Sylvie Brett x Fem!Reader Requested: nopee jk yes kinda? Warnings: mentions death, previous bad relationship, angst Word count: 2.9k ish A/N: idk if anyone reads for Sylvie anymore but i had this written for ages (like... last new years) so might as well post it.
Tumblr media
The flood of emotions hit Sylvie like a truck the second she got back to the firehouse. Her tears were uncontrollable as they streamed down her cheeks. Running into the bathroom, she splashed cold water on her face to try and calm down.
She slumped back against the lockers in the changing room and let herself slide to the ground. The cold floor drove a chill up her spine. Her face was buried in her arms as the tragic events of the morning ran through her head.
The paramedic was in shock. The adrenaline was wearing off and what was left was only devastation. She knew she couldn’t save everyone, but she really thought she could save this one.
He was just 7 years old, a kid. He was somebody’s baby and they couldn’t help him.
The rest of the firehouse could tell how bad the shift was by the way the paramedics carried themselves out of their ambulance. There was an air of sadness around them, the kind of aura that could only mean a particularly devastating call.
Typically the she would have called you by now, but as much as she wanted to, she couldn’t.
Tumblr media
She had no right to come running into your arms whenever she was sad, or hurt, or scared because you and Sylvie had been broken up for a few weeks. It felt like years, but things were different these days and you weren’t hers, not anymore.
Your impending departure had meant for an inevitable end to your relationship, but you had to go.
You had to go for the career you spent a better half of your life pursuing. There wasn’t anyone else who could do what you did and Sylvie didn’t want you to choose her over your job because there wasn’t a choice to be made. You worked so hard for it.
The two of you talked about long distance because what you had with Sylvie shouldn’t have to end, not like this… but she’d gone through the time differences and the conficting schedules before and it was hard. It was harder than anything she’d ever done.
As much as you loved each other, Sylvie wasn’t sure she could survive another round of that, only for it to end exactly like it would if everything just stopped now. That’s what happened last time, so who’s to say history wouldn’t repeat itself?
Tumblr media
They called you at noon, after she'd been in the bathroom for half an hour already. Sev and Stella had both been giving you updates on how Sylvie was doing and you were more then grateful for it. Sylvie was the most resilient, capable person you knew, but you also knew her better than anyone.
You knew how she was when things got tough, not wanting to burden others with her problems. You also knew that she wasn’t going to tell you how much she was hurting, not after the breakup. Even so, she had friends and people who loved her at 51.
They were there for her when she needed it, but at her breaking point, what she needed was you.
Tumblr media
“Hey, sunshine. You ok? ”
Sylvie’s eyes widened at the sound of your voice, her head snapped up and there was a wild look on her face as she looked around the room for you.
Hearing you use her nickname hurt more than she thought it would, but when she saw you standing there, leaning against the doorframe... Your arms were crossed and your head tilted with concern, it was almost enough to make her forget you were even broken up.
“Shoot, Y/N.” Sylvie stammered, standing up quickly and rubbing the tears from her face. She didn’t want you to see her like this. "What are you doing here?"
She had to take a deep breath to steel herself from the effect you had on her. It didn’t work. It never worked. You always broke through her walls and defenses.
“Kelly called me. He was worried about you, Syl.”
“I— He shouldn’t have done that, I’m so sorry for making you come down here and fuss over me.” Sylvie clasps her hands together to stop their shaking and it doesn’t go unnoticed by you. "I know you’re busy, you can go back to work. I’m fine."
“Everything is fine,” she mumbles, and it was almost like she was trying to convince herself of that instead of you.
“Syl…” Your voice was quiet as you took a step towards the blonde. She looked so small against and it broke your heart.
The closer you got to Sylvie, the harder it became for her to maintain her brave face. She wanted so badly to just fall into your arms and cry for the next 10 minutes. She wanted you to hold her like you always did and everything would be ok.
She could hardly breathe when you stop right in front of her and time stood still.
"Breathe," you whispered as you took her hands, pulling them apart and squeezing them with your own. Sylvie took such a shaky breath that it might as well been a gasp for air.
“Sweetheart, why didn't you call me?”
“You know why. I wanted to, but—” You watched as Sylvie dropped her head and avoided your gaze, stray strands of blonde hair falling in front of her face. One of your hands leaves hers to tuck them back behind her ear.
“Look at me, Sylvie.” Your hand returns back to your ex-girlfriend’s hands and you give them gentle tug. "Look at me.”
She does reluctantly, and you can’t help but admire how gorgeous she looked. Her eyes were rimmed with red, brows furrowed, a frown on her face, and just as beautiful as she was the day you first met.
“You can always come to me, always. Even if we’re not together anymore, if you need me, I’m here. That’s never going to change, ok?"
“I can’t do this anymore… being without you,” Sylvie admitted, her lip quivering as she spoke. Her eyes were glassy and you could tell that she was mere seconds from falling apart.
“Oh sweetheart, it’s ok,” you coo as you pulled her into your arms, her face burrowing into your neck. You feel her shake her head against you and tears began to wet your shirt. Things didn’t feel ok.
“We’ll be ok.” You’re peppering kisses to the side of Sylvie’s head as you held her, gently running your fingers through her soft hair.
“You still want to be with me?” Her voice was quiet, and weak. You knew how tired she was.
Sure, she was physically tired, but the turbulent relationships of her past had taken so much of her. Sylvie was beginning to think that she wasn’t cut out for love… and then she met you.
You, who grounded her and made her feel steady. You, the only one she had ever been sure of, but she wasn’t so sure anymore. Maybe you didn’t love her like you used to.
The little voice in the back of her head was telling her that she couldn’t handle this kind of life, it was telling her that she was nothing without him — just like he’d said so many times before. It had been years since she left him and he couldn’t have been more wrong, but sometimes Sylvie fell into old habits. She was so strong, but everyone needs someone.
She usually had you to chase the intrusive thoughts away.
“Of course I do, sweetheart. Hey…” you murmured, lifting her chin so she’d look at you again. “I’m not him."
“I— I know, but… you don’t think I’m being crazy?” she stammered. “You don’t think I’m—"
“No, love. No, you’re not being crazy at all. I miss you too. I miss you so much that it hurts.”
“Really?”
“Really… I know long distance is hard— “
“Y/N…” Before she got another word out, your hands are cupping Sylvie’s face and pressing your lips to hers. You feel her tears on your cheeks as she moved impossibly closer to you.
“Hey...I love you so, so much. I really think we can do this,” you murmured as your forehead rested against hers. "We belong together." Sylvie nods ever so slightly, her eyes closed as she took deep breaths.
Before you broke apart to let the paramedic get back to work, you’re whispering in her hair. “I’m gonna come back to you. I promise.”
Tumblr media
You and Sylvie made long distance work for three months before the holidays rolled around. Despite the many weeks of missed calls and conflicting schedules, you always tried to make time for your girl.
The blonde kept up a cheerful facade during work, making sure her personal life wasn’t getting in the way, but her weary sighs at the end of every shift… They meant she was going home to an empty apartment. Again.
The worst of it was learning that you weren’t going to make it home for Christmas. That in itself was utterly devastating for Sylvie. The holidays were the one thing she was looking forward to because she thought it meant she could see you. She offered to come fly out, but you were going to be so busy that it would be a wasted trip.
The news that you weren’t going to make it for New Year’s either was… just great. How much more could she take?
It hurt when every suggestion she made to visit was shot down by you, and Sylvie was beginning to wonder if it was even worth it.
What if the stars didn't align? What if they were never going to?
Little did she know, it was all because you had spent the last two months figuring out a way to come back to her.
After many meetings, phone calls, pitches, and business dinners, you were coming home. Starting January 10th, you would be the new liaison officer for both your district and another — headquartered in Chicago.
Tumblr media
The plan was for Sylvie to spend Christmas and the New Year with her firehouse family this year. Typically, the two of you would cuddle up in front of the fireplace for a cozy night in, but you weren’t going to be able to make it back in time, no matter how hard you tried and you didn’t want your girlfriend to spend the day by herself.
That’s what you told her, at least.
All of 51 banded together to make this holiday season special at Molly's, but it was devastating for Sylvie that you weren’t going to be a part of it. It wouldn’t be the same. Nevertheless, she tried to enjoy the party as best she could. At least she was around people she loved and who loved her too.
They all did a wonderful job at keeping your secret and Sylvie was none the wiser. Everything was falling into place perfectly.
Although she was going to return home alone that night, it made her heart lighter knowing that in a few days, she’d be in your arms.
Tumblr media
At 11 pm on New Years Eve, after another party at Molly's, Sylvie unlocked her front door with a groan and stumbled inside. I am so exhausted, she thought to herself. Why the hell did I stay the entire time…
She almost didn’t see the object on her kitchen table that wasn’t there when she left for the bar a few hours earlier.
A chill shot through her spine as she walked closer to the table and she realized it was a package. A package from you.
Sylvie couldn’t stop her hands from trembling as she picked up the box, tearing up as she saw her name scribbled in the corner. The handwriting was yours, she’d recognize it anywhere.
Her heart pounded as she tore the delicate wrapping paper off of the package, the anticipation almost too much to bear.
Underneath was a box and a white business card resting on top of it, a golden ribbon tying everything together.
It took all of Sylvie’s control to undo the bow and hold the card steady enough to read the tiny text. There was your name, your district, and your position, but in the corner were two words that made her gasp out loud.
Chicago, Illinois
You were coming home.
A strangled sob escaped Sylvie’s lips as she let her head fall back to stare at the ceiling for a moment, taking everything in. This was all she wanted this year. She wanted you back, back where you belong.
There were tears pricking her eyes, but with a deep, shaky inhale, she pulled herself together enough to get through the rest of your gift.
The cream colored velvet box was all that was left. The gold lettering sparkled on the lid as Sylvie read what it said, running her fingers over the soft material.
Loving you is a wonderful way to spend a lifetime…
Her heart lurched at the words as she thought about you spending the holidays alone, in a new city. She missed you more than anything.
As Sylvie carefully removed the lid, her eyes widened upon seeing what was inside. It was a key. Her brow furrowed as the confusion set in — it couldn’t be a key to your apartment. You moved out of that apartment, she even helped you pack up your things.
“Wha—?” she whispered to herself, but a quiet voice from behind interrupted her thoughts.
“Move in with me.”
The world stood still. She knew that voice. The blonde gripped the box in her hand impossibly tight, worried she would drop everything in shock. She turned on her heels to see you standing at her doorway with a huge smile on your face. Not a moment later, she was running into your waiting arms.
“Y/N, what are you doing here?” Sylvie choked out as she pulled away to look at you again. She had to make sure you were real and she wasn’t dreaming. “I thought you said you couldn’t make it.”
“I had to surprise you, didn’t I?” You’re laughing as she squeezed you as hard as she could. Her jewelry was digging into your skin, but you didn’t care. “I missed you.”
“You’re here,” she mumbled, her voice muffled by your shirt.
"So? What do you say, Sylvie Brett? Will you move in with me?”
“I— Wait, where? What? You— “ Sylvie shook her head, trying to clear her jumbled thoughts. It brings a smile to your face and a chuckle falls from your lips. “You have a new place? Already? Since when?”
“Well… I was hoping it would be our new place. And as for when… it’s been a couple weeks in the making… 5 to be exact.”
“That was over a month ago, Y/N!” Sylvie gasped, not sure if she should be concerned or shocked as to why you didn’t tell her.
“I know, and I’m so sorry I didn’t tell you, but it had to be a surprise. Plus, it's really damn hard to get a house these days. Let’s just say I was very determined to get this place in particular.”
You pulled something out of your pocket and handed it to your girlfriend.
“Wait, what is this?”
Sylvie stared at the key in her hand and then at the photo you just gave her. It was the house.
You had bought the house that Sylvie had fallen in love with on the outskirts of Chicago. She knew she loved it the second she saw it on the way to work one day, many years ago. You never forgot.
It was the house she’d always dreamed of having — one that was close enough to her job, cozy, and with a huge yard for kids or dogs. The two of you would often take the long way just to admire it before work.
Just when Sylvie thought she couldn’t love you any more than she already did, you always seemed to make her fall even harder.
Her hands were trembling as the reality of your surprise settled in and her eyes shined as she looked back up at you.
She just couldn’t believe what was happening. She couldn’t believe you were home and she definitely couldn’t believe that you had this big surprise all planned out for weeks. It was just like you, though, to completely change her life like this, again.
“So I take it that’s a yes?”
“Yes! Oh my god, I— yes. Sorry, I’m babbling,” Sylvie blushed as she let out a teary laugh. “I just love you so damn much Y/N Y/L/N."
“I love you more,” you cheesed, knowing that your plan had worked perfectly.
Tumblr media
As the clock struck midnight, with Sylvie’s lips pressed against yours, everything was as it should be for the first time in months.
You told her you’d come back to her, and you did.
The rest of the night was one of the happiest you’d had in a very long time. You and Syl curled up together on the couch, catching up on your favorite shows and the episodes you’d missed while you were away.
“Hey… Y/N?”
“Yeah, babe?” you mused as your attention was pulled away from the TV.
”How did you break into my apartment?”

        sylvie wakes you up early with one thing on her mind. you’re all too happy to oblige, giving her what she wants and more before you part ways for the day.
𝐂𝐖: mild language, D/s dynamics, Mommy Kink, tiny mention of a tummy bulge bc I can’t help myself, praise, overstimulation, oral (f), fingering, use of a strap-on, lil bit of squirting, Sylvie is a Pillow Princess, reader has a tongue piercing, if I missed anything lmk
18+ 𝑀𝐼𝑁𝑂𝑅𝑆 𝐷𝑁𝐼 | 𝐼 𝐷𝑂 𝑁𝑂𝑇 𝐶𝑂𝑁𝑆𝐸𝑁𝑇 𝐹𝑂𝑅 𝑀𝑌 𝑊𝑂𝑅𝐾 𝑇𝑂 𝐵𝐸 𝑅𝐸𝑃𝑂𝑆𝑇𝐸𝐷 𝑂𝑅 𝑆𝐻𝐴𝑅𝐸𝐷 𝐴𝑁𝑌𝑊𝐻𝐸𝑅𝐸 𝐸𝐿𝑆𝐸
The warmth against your chest stirred you from your sleep, and when you pried your eyes open, a smile grew on your lips. Sylvie had taken your right breast in her mouth and was lathing her tongue across the warm, plump mound of flesh.
“Good mornin’ Mommy,” she greeted softly when she finally pulled away, leaving a shiny patch of skin behind.
“Morning sweetheart,” you coo back and she smiled, moving to reattach herself, but you stopped her with a gentle hand.
“Let me show you how it’s done, Bunny...” You guided Sylvie back so she lay amongst the messy sheets and strewn-about pillows. With a devious smirk, you lowered your mouth to her exposed chest, kissing around her pert nipple at a teasing pace, making her shift and moan slightly beneath you.
“Be patient,” you chided before pressing your tongue flat against her nipple, the sting of your tongue piercing against the sensitive flesh made her arch off the bed, though you made sure to rest your weight against her to keep her still.
“- Feels good...”
“Does it?”
“Yes...” Sylvie sighed as you played with and marked her skin for a while longer before trailing
“Mommy -” she whimpered, head thrown back against the pillow, her hands curled into the rumpled sheets.
“Tell me, baby, what do you want?” Playful nips and open-mouthed kisses continued down her stomach, over her hipbones with the intention of leaving a mark behind.
“Words,” you stated bluntly and briefly stopped what you were doing to make sure she heard you.
“- Mouth... I want your mouth, please -”
“Good girl,” you praised and went back to what you were doing. Thankfully, the night before had meant Sylvie had slept without underwear on and was free for the taking. Slowly and deliberately, you parted her thighs and took in the sight before you.
“Who’s got you this wet, huh, Bunny?”
“You, Mommy -” You cut her off with a hot, flat stripe up her cunt, dragging the barbell of your piercing through her folds. The whimper that left her made your stomach flutter.
“Hands to yourself, Bunny.” With a frustrated huff, Sylvie removed her hands from your hair and grabbed fistfuls of the sheets again. With each press and lick of your tongue against her clit, Sylvie unwound piece by piece. All you could pull from her were broken moans and cries that turned into whimpers.
If you had it your way, you’d spend every hour of the day between her thighs, devouring her like the last good meal on earth. Her thighs clenched around your head and kept you firmly in place as you pushed your index and middle finger into her, slowly and all the way to the last knuckle.
“Fuck!” she gasped, head thrown back and her eyes screwed shut.
“Now, now, Bunny...” When you continued with your ministrations, she was practically grinding against your fingers and face.
Your fingers curled - almost expertly - against that one spot inside her that made her toes curl and her thighs close even tighter around you. Every muscle in her legs twitched and quivered as you pushed her closer to release. The lewd noises of your mouth against her pussy and Sylvie’s moans filled your bedroom. It was a wonder that the neighbours hadn’t complained before.
“I - I’m gonna -” With a particularly harsh flick of your tongue against her clit, Sylvie came undone with a loud, drawn-out moan. You coaxed her through it with gentle licks and kisses, gaining more intensity as the first wave ebbed away and left Sylvie breathless and at your mercy.
“You want more?”
“Yes, please.” She keened at the absence of you between her legs as you got up to get the strap-on from the nightstand. Through hazy, half-lidded eyes, she watched as you connected the harness around your hips and thighs, unable to tear her lusty gaze away from the soft purple silicone that you now sported.
“What colour are you, Bunny?”
“Green,” she sighed in reply as she lay back against the mattress. After applying a liberal amount of lube and making sure nothing was at risk of being pinched in buckles or come loose, you returned to the bed.
“Are you ready?” Thighs parted, cunt exposed, Sylvie nodded, eyes not leaving yours as you got comfortable. No matter how many times you’d had Sylvie beneath you at the mercy of the strap on, the look on her face the first time you rock forward will always be priceless.
“You like that, baby?” Her breathing was shaky as you shifted your hips slightly. It surely was a sight to see and you’ve got countless pictures on your phone and in your shoebox under the bed to prove it.
“You gonna be good and take Mommy’s cock, hm?” you cooed, reaching over to stroke your thumb across her cheek. She whimpered, bottom lip between her teeth as you pulled back slightly, retracting just a couple of inches before pushing forward again.
“If you don’t talk to me, Bunny, I’ll stop,” you stated with a punctuated thrust into her full pussy, making her gasp in surprise at the sensation.
“Yes! Mommy, I’ll be good! I’ll take it!” That was all the confirmation you needed to set a fair rhythm. Something that was easy to be maintained but still made her cry and clench in reaction to each thrust.
You remained kneeling to begin with, getting a decent grip on her thighs to keep her in place. Blissed out and taking each thrust with an open-mouthed moan, Sylvie looked borderline Angelic. Then something caught your eye mid-thrust, prompting you to slow down.
Watching with full curiosity, you rocked forward and watched as her lower stomach reveal the vague print of the silicone cock you were filling her with.
“Holy shit...” As you regained your pace, you reached out and pressed your hand flat to the shifting bulge. The new kind of pressure brought a near-scream out of your petite blonde girlfriend.
“Fuck - Fuck! Do that again, Mommy,” she pleaded, tears shining in her eyes as you obliged and thrust a little harder.
Your other hand came down so your thumb could circle and brush against her clit. To say that Sylvie was now reduced to a babbling, tearful mess would be an understatement.
“You gonna cum for Mommy?”
“Yes! Yes please -” You pulled out for a moment and flipped her over. When you pushed back in, her pleas and cries were muffled by the pillows. She pushed back against your hips, desperate to be full and mindless.
“Since you asked so nicely...” With a hand curled into her hair and the other reaching underneath her to play with her aching clit, you returned to rocking in and out of her. Having a vocal girlfriend certainly had its perks.
“M’cum - M’gonna cum -” she sobbed into the pillow, overwhelmed by pleasure as it spilled into her limbs and up her spine.
“Cum for Mommy, be a good girl,” you prompted with a hot breath against the shell of her ear.
The lewd sound of the strap pushing in and out of her dripping cunt and the repeated sharp snap of your hips against hers pushed her closer and closer.
“Mommy... Mommy, I -” Her chanted mantra of your title was cut off by a loud, frankly pornographic moan mixed with uncontrollable sobs of pure bliss. And as you continued to thrust against her and revel in the pleas and whimpers that continued to rip from her throat, a small gush between the two of you made you slow to a stop.
“Holy shit, Bunny...” The backs of her thighs shone with the sudden release of fluids and it dripped down the now flush skin onto the sheets below. Some of it dripped off the base of the strap on, which was still firmly seated inside of her.
“Feels s’good,” she confessed, a fucked-out flush on her cheeks and neck as she nuzzled against the pillows beneath her face.
“You like being full of Mommy’s cock, Bunny?”
“Yeah.” Slowly, you pulled out and watched as her thighs trembled at the withdrawal. More of her slick release dripped down her thighs. Yeah, mornings spent ruining your girlfriend before she had to go to work were definitely your favourite.

Stella found you in the bunkroom, knocked out in your bed after the firehouse held a Halloween party for the kids and families in the neighborhood to give out free candy. She woke you up to let you know that the shift was over and that I was time to go home. Luckily for you you didn’t have anymore calls when you went to sleep so your slumber was not interrupted. So, Stella ended up having to bring your groggy body to the car as she drove you both home. Once you would wake up, you felt like a little kid who had taken a nap in the car and magically woke up in their bed.

Sylvie walked through the the common room to see you taking candy from the large bowl of candy on the table. “Hey!” She shouted at you. You looked in her direction and bolted. Sylvie had a strict no candy in shift because she didn’t want you to have a stomachache on shift like last year and she told everyone that you could have any candy. You were desperate for you favorite candy so you decided to sneak and get some while no one was looking. She chased after you as you ran. You were fast enough to get a head start and you hid in Kelly’s bunk room. Kelly laughed at you hiding under his desk. When you thought the coast was clear, you ran out of Kelly’s office before getting tackled by your waist from Sylvie. “I strictly told you not to get any candy! You remember what happened last time!” She said while trying to get the candy from out of your hands and pockets.

How they hug you:
Stella Kidd:
I hope you know that Stella is
Literally down for any hug you have
And is a little cocky. Tries to make her hands grab your ass-
Sylvie Brett:
She just gets a little confused but feels loved and warm as well. Teddy bear hugs are her favorite whenever where ever. They're warm
Emily foster:
Just like Sylvie she gets confused. Doesn't know if you just missed her cause she was gone for so long or you just wanted affection because you felt very lonely and just needed somebody
Gabby Dawson:
If you hug her you're definitely gonna get a tight squeeze but not to tight because, she doesn't want to hug you to tight that you start Asphyxiating. But mostly affectionate and fluffy domestic hugs from her. Even a little bit intimate with you y'know?
Violet Mikami:
Whenever she's feeling down or just had a tough call/mission to take care of you give Violet a gentle squeeze and let her know everything is gonna be okay and that your here/here for her.
Evan Hawkins(Platonic)
When Violet denied his feelings/ love for her you found him at Molly's just in the corner looking downcast. So you went over to comfort him. He just cried in your arms and told you everything that happened. You listened and tried your best comfort him through his horrible day

I think
“I didn’t know they were weed brownies!” And “I swear, it’s the truth!”
Would be really funny with Chicago Fire if you’d be so kind 🥰🥰🥰
Tumblr media
Matt Casey liked to think that every return he made back to Chicago was a breath of fresh air. Not that looking after the boys was difficult and he didn't enjoy it, but a reminder of his old life was often exactly what he needed in his new one. Of course, seeing you was the primary reason he came home, but his 51 family was more than a bonus.
Matt had decided to make for the station before the hotel. There were only a couple hours left of shift and he was ready for the placid atmosphere typical after twenty-two hours already on the job.
“I didn’t know they were weed brownies!"
The bounce in his step waned slightly as he let the door shut behind him. He could tell his sister's voice from a mile away, but the tone of it was one he wasn't used to.
"I swear, it’s the truth. These little kids were selling them, I thought they were sweet kids—they seriously looked like sweet kids."
“I, yeah—" There was a snort of laughter. Sylvie. "We believe you, Y/N.”
"Don’t doubt it, girl!" Stella sounded as enthusiastic as possible, but that same hint of amusement was evident in her voice.
Matt couldn't help his concern, quickening his pace and rounding the engine truck. The ambulance back doors were open, and you were sat at the edge, terror written all over your face. Stella was sat on her haunches in front of you, hands on your knees. Sylvie was on one side, a blood pressure monitor in her hands, and Violet was rummaging through a bag on the other.
Your wide eyes—wide, groggy eyes—met his the moment he made himself visible.
“Matty!” You made to jump up, but the girls stopped you before you could, blurting all kinds about slowing down and blood and heart.
Matt could tell you were on the verge of tears, could see the quivering of your lips and the watering of your already watering eyes. Quickly, he dropped his bag on the floor and rushed across to envelop you in a hug, cupping the back of your head to his chest. "Hey, there," he said. He met Stella's eyes, the captain having stood up, and mouthed a "what happened?" over your head.
Stella mouthed a simple "brownies" back, as though that answered the question perfectly. Luckily, you helped out.
“Matt, I took drugs," you spoke quietly. Matt's frown deepened.
The girls jumped to attention. "Not on purpose!" Sylvie said.
"Not on purpose," Stella confirmed. "Some douche was giving his kids weed brownies to sell outside his garage. Either that or someone got their recipes seriously mixed up. Boden’s sent CPD down there.”
You twirled a lock of your brother's hair around a finger, still clinging to him. “CPD’s gonna beat someone's ass," you said pointedly, "I paid eight dollars for those brownies.”
Violet crossed her arms over her chest. “Hey, Y/N, how many did you eat again?”
“Four.” Your voice was muffled, yiur face buried in Matt's chest, but everyone heard it.
Sylvie. "Rough."
"They were so good," you said.
There was a general silence, something concern probably should have filled, but after a moment the amusement of the situation set in, and smiles broke out.
"Can I assume she's gonna be fine?" Matt asked. He gently pulled away from you and guided you to sit back down on the truck.
Sylvie nodded, crossing her arms. "She's got an elevated heart rate and she'll be loopy for a bit longer but yeah, she'll be okay."
"What if the kids come after me?" You let your head drop against Matt's shoulder.
"What's that, sweetheart?" Matt asked.
"What if the brownie kids come back because I sent the cops on them?"
Sylvie put a fist to her mouth
"That's not gonna happen," Matt assured you, "don't worry."
Stella clapped her hands together after Kylie's voice asking for her echoed throughout the station. "Okay, crazy, I'm gonna take you off duty for the rest of shift, okay?"
You face fell. "Oh, but—can I still stay at the firehouse?"
"Probably best," Stella agreed.
Matt stood up. "Hey, Lieutenant, you need someone to fill in?"
Stella grinned, pointing a finger towards him as she backed out of the room. "Luckily for you, ex-Lieutenant, a spot just opened up. Go get a drink, Y/N, and stay where we can keep an eye on you. Hey, hey, Hermann, can you escort her into the common room? Don't leave her."
Hermann, who'd been passing by with an apple in hand, didn't have much of a choice as Matt passed his sister onto him with a kiss to your hot forehead before running off to change. Hermann took your arm in his when you went to fall.
"The hell's up with you? You sick?"
"I took drugs."
"What?"

Clutz
warnings: bad writing lol
synopsis: You wipe out while doing Girls on Fire, Kidd makes Kelly call your brother.
Tumblr media
The first time you were introduced to Firehouse 51 was when Jay took you to a game and Kidd and Severiade were there. It was almost like Jay and Severiade were copies of each other, with the same sense of humour and attitude. Kidd had taken you under her wing, explaining what was happening at the game while Jay and Severiade cheered. When the game ended Stella encouraged you to drop by the Firehouse sometime to meet everyone else, seeming that everyone at Med and the district were all close.
You took Stella up on that, stopping by when they were on shift with baking. Normally you would take it to Jay or Will at work but they were both too busy today to stop and talk. When you wandered through the doors into the break room, immediately Stella jumped up to greet you.
In her Milwaukee accent, she declared, "This is Y/N Halstead! She's welcome here whenever." She said the last bit to you, grinning. She quickly went around the room rattling off the names of everyone.
You smiled, holding up your container, "I bought brownies."
Cruz got up from the table and mockingly raising his hands like he was thanking the lord, "You're a saint."
It became some kind of routine, often you would bake something a week, dropping it to the district and to the firehouse. They were always excited to see you; soon it became exactly how intelligence treated you. Like you had gotten a bunch of aunt and uncles overnight, who all cared about you.
Eventually, Stella convinced you to join Girls on Fire, roping Kylie into convincing you it was a fun program. Kylie told you about how Stella annoyed her until she committed to staying in Girls on Fire and now she was helping run it. When you joined, you loved it. It was nice to be around other girls who were like you and also be training in a fun way.
When Jay would pick you up after, he was always amused by how excited you were to tell him about what happened. Will was also impressed with the first aid they were teaching. He teased you about how he had tried to teach you and you didn't care, but now when it was someone else you were interested.
"That's because you suck at teaching," You replied.
Girls on fire was normally cancelled when it snowed, but today it had been on and off so Stella said she'd find something to do on the apparatus floor. Boden allowed Stella to park the squad and truck rigs on the driveway so you could use the floor. After a while of running around in turnout gear, you all started to complain about being overheated. Kylie had said something smart about getting used to the feeling if you wanted to actually fight a fire. Kidd had agreed, but opened one of the doors anyway so that there was some airflow.
There was a little snow here and there, but mostly clear. Jay had said that morning it was typical spring, somewhere in the middle of everything. The group was doing hose drills when your partner lost control of the spiralled hose. It slipped out of her hands and down the driveway. You all laughed and you went to grab it. Your partner had mixed up the couplings, meaning you could easily do a shoulder roll as you gathered up the hose. Kidd cheered on your technique, explaining what you were doing as you went. You held one arm around the hose and jogged back towards the group. As you headed back, you hit black ice. You felt yourself falling face first and threw your unoccupied arm out to stop your fall. When your palm hit the ground, your wrist buckled and you could almost feel the break.
You dropped the hose, immediately snatching your wrist to your chest and letting out a string of hushed curses.
Kidd came jogging over, "You good?"
You groaned, "Peachy," you gave her a thumbs up with your good hand.
Kidd chuckled, she offered you a hand up. You let her pull you up, groaning with the jolt in your wrist.
"Let me take a look," Kidd offered, she gently rolled up the sleeve on the turnout coak and looked at your wrist. It had swollen up to twice its size and turned bruised.
You screwed up your face, "Just my luck."
"I think you broke it," Kidd chuckled, amused by how irritated you looked. "Might have to get you to med,"
She walked you back towards the Firehouse, now more careful of the ground. When you got inside, Brett and Violet were waiting with Boden and Kelly. Boden gave permission for Violet and Brett to take you to Med, seeming it was easier than calling your brother. Violet and Kidd helped you out of the turnout gear then jumped into the back of the ambulance with you.
As you were pulling out onto the street, Kidd asked if you had your phone.
"Crap," you cursed, patting your pockets, "I left it in my bag at the station."
Violet laughed, "Worrying about breaking your phone but not your wrist?"
Kidd laughed, "I'll call kelly."
Tumblr media
Jay answered his phone on the second ring, "Halstead."
"Hey Jay," Kelly spoke from the other end, "Kidd asked me to call you-"
"Is everything okay?" Jay interupted.
"Uh-" Kelly hesitated, the silence allowed Jay to hear the blearing of the dispatch bells through the phone, "Kidd, Sylvie and Violet took Y/N to Med- look, I gotta go, I'm sorry. Kidd will meet you at med." Kelly rushed through his words, hanging up so that he could respond to the call.
Jay slowly put down his phone, a frown. If you were hurt you would have called him, but why would Kidd be taking you to Med if you weren't hurt?
"Who was that?" Kevin asked as he walked past Jay's desk.
"Kelly Severiade," Jay responded, "He said Y/N's been taken to med."
"What?" Hailey quickly walked over, "Why?"
"He didn't say," Jay came to his senses, grabbing his keys and phone, "Just that Kidd was taking her to Med with Sylvie and Violet."
Voight caught the tail end of the conversation, urging the team to pack up so they could all go to Med for support. He could tell from the look on everyone's faces how they were all quietly worried.
Jay had to hold back the urge to flick on the lights and sirens. and speed across town to Med.
Tumblr media
Will could hardly control his laugh when he watched you walk into Med, cradling your arm.
"Laugh it up, William," You scolded, letting him help you onto the bed in an exam room.
"I will," He chuckled, gesturing for you to give him your arm so he could look at it.
You pouted, "Can't I have a decent doctor?"
Will rolled his eyes dramatically.
"I doubt you'll find one here," Maggie said as she walked in, coming to stand at your good side with a hand on her hip, "What have you done to yourself?"
You grinned sheepishly, unable to find the words.
Kidd came to your rescue from the doorway, explaining how you managed to wipe out and land on your wrist. And then going on to explain how you left your phone in your bag so you couldn't call Will or Jay before.
"Let's get an X-ray for that wrist then," Will said, watching Maggie type it into her tablet, "It's probably broken so we'll put a call into ortho to get it casted."
Maggie nodded along, putting her tablet away and propping your wrist on a pillow and placing an ice pack over it.
"Ortho is backed up, it might be awhile before they get down here."
"You can use that time to think of what colour cast you want," Will said with a playful grin. He let you know that he would have to check on a few different patients but he would be back to see the X-rays and check on you later.
Kidd took a seat next to you, smiling and asking how you felt.
"Like an idiot," You replied, "You always warn us to be careful and I had to go breaking my arm."
Kidd laughed, "Hey, at least you got us out of the firehouse for a bit."
You smiled, watching Sylvie and Violet come over to the door after stocking up the ambo and making a hot coco trip.
Sylvie put a cup on the tray next to you, "Hot coco for you."
"Thanks," You replied, cradling it with your good hand.
Violet jokingly ruffled your hair, "Anything for our favourite patient."
You laughed, bidding your goodbyes after they said that they had to leave for the firehouse. Kidd asked you to keep her updated and even if you couldn't do girls on fire, you should still come along. You said you would, you could stand on the sidelines and cheer like her and Kylie.
You were left alone for a little while before Will finally returned with the X Ray tech.
Will showed you the Xray on the screen, "Well it's definitely broken."
"Oh thanks, doc," You scowled, "I couldn't tell."
Will laughed, taking a seat and leaning on the bed while you spoke with the Ortho resident. The resident offered you your pick of four colours and you had made Will choose because you couldn't. Will had immediately chosen Black and you scoffed, 'No way.'
You almost hit the roof when Jay came running into the room. He looked terrified and completely out of breath. He stood staring at you and Will for a moment, then the rest of Intelligence came barreling in after him.
"Hello," You said slowly, confused why they were all there.
"Kelly called," Jay said.
"I forgot my phone at the firehouse, Kidd didn't have your number," You said sheepishly.
Jay let out a sigh, "I thought you were seriously hurt."
Will was laughing quietly, "Why didn't you call me?"
Jay frowned, "I tried," He argued, "You didn't pick up."
Wills smile fell, "oh,"
You burst out laughing, "Wow, one job big brother."
Jay turned back to his team, telling them they could go seeming you clearly weren't about to die. He came around the bed and took a seat at the end.
He gestured to your arm which was now cast in bright yellow, "What happened?"
You waved your casted wrist around, "Broke my wrist."
Jay shook his head in disbelief, "How did you manage that?"
"I slipped on black ice," You shrugged.
Jay looked a little disappointed, "Of course you did."
"What is that supposed to mean?"
Will smiled, "He only means you aren't always the most sure footed."
You faked being offended, "Are you calling me a clutz?"
"Yes," Both your brothers replied.
Will and Jay laughed as you crossed your arms and sunk into the bed with a pout, "Thanks a lot."

Lost & found | Sylvie Brett
Tumblr media
Pairing: Sylvie Brett x Reader Reader pronouns used: she/her
Prompt: “They found out we’re dating because my lockscreen is a picture of you.”
Masterlist | Chicago Fire masterlist | Words: 814
Truck 81 was the first to arrive back at the firehouse, after a call that involved all 51 companies. Otis stayed behind in the truck for a moment to check some things out, while the rest of the team made their way to the canteen. When he got out himself, he noticed a phone laying on the apparatus floor. He picked it up and turned it on, surely he could figure out who’s phone it was from the lockscreen right? He felt proud of himself for thinking of that when he recognized you on the lockscreen. He pocketed the phone, since you weren’t back from the call yet, and followed the rest of truck 81 to the canteen.
Otis thought he heard Engine 51 come back in, so he walked back to the apparatus floor, only to find it was Squad 3 that had arrived back. “Hey, Otis, what’s up?” Cruz greeted his best friend. “Oh, nothing, I found Y/n’s phone on the apparatus floor and thought I heard Engine 51 come in.” They head back to the canteen together, Otis plopping down once again. The team was deep in conversation, so they didn’t hear when Engine 51 actually did arrive, until the doors opened and your team started piling in. Otis was about to stand up to head your way but Cruz stops him, “Look, she’s using her phone.” Otis frowns when he sees that you are indeed using your phone. “What made you think it was hers?” He grabs the phone out of his pocket and shows Cruz the background. “I figured that it was hers, because she is the lockscreen.” Cruz starts smirking, “Dude, that means someone else on the team either has a crush on y/n or is dating her. We have to figure out who this phone belongs to.”
The two went on full investigation mode, with a notepad in hand they crossed out everyone’s name that they saw using their phone. Of course, not everyone was on their phones, but they were already able to cross a few names off of the list. They tried to get some other people to show them their phones, by asking to see a certain picture or asking to use their phone to call. Nearly everyone was now crossed off the list. Which made them spy around in the office as well, thinking that maybe it was someone that worked there. The office employees could also all be crossed out.
It wasn’t until Ambulance 61 pulled in that they found out who the phone belonged to. Dawson left the ambo to go straight to the canteen, like all the others had done, but Sylvie stayed behind, looking all over the Ambulance like she was looking for something. The boys exchanged a look before they made their way over to Sylvie, “Looking for something?” Otis said, waving the phone in the air. “Ah great! I thought I had lost it. Where did you find it?” Otis explains where he found the phone. “It must’ve fallen out of my pocket on my way to the ambulance then.” You reach out to take the phone from Otis but Cruz is quick to grab it from his hand instead, “Not so fast, Brett.” She furrows her brow, “What do you mean? It's my phone?” Cruz smirks as he turns on the phone, facing the screen towards Sylvie, “I think you have some explaining to do.” Sylvie’s cheeks turn red.
Back in the canteen you watch as Otis and Cruz walk in full of excitement, talking amongst themselves, with a defeated Sylvie on their tail. Sylvie grabs a cup of coffee before she makes her way over to the sleeping quarters, without speaking a word to anyone in the canteen. You stand up and follow her, finding her sitting on her bed staring at her phone. “Hey, is everything alright? Did something happen with Cruz and Otis?” You sit down next to her, placing your hand on her thigh, your eyes filled with worry. “I lost my phone, and they found it.” You nod, hoping she would continue, because that didn’t sound too bad. “They found out we’re dating because my lockscreen is a picture of you.”
“Aw, Sylvie, I didn’t know you did that. That is so cute. Can I see which one?” Sylvie hands you her phone. “You’re not upset that they found out?” You shrug, “They were going to find out eventually, right? Plus, like I said I’ve never minded people knowing, it was just nice having us for just us for a while before the team knew.” Sylvie leans into your side and lays her head down on your shoulder. “Yeah, you’re right.” You kiss the top of her head, “Yeah, don’t worry about it, we’re good.” Before Sylvie can respond the alarm rings, and you’re both off to another call.

~~~~~~~~~~
You and Matt have been married for three years. Despite once being in a relationship with Matt, you quickly befriended Gabby when you were her partner on 61. Now, Gabby is a firefighter under Matt and you are partnered up with Brett. Through all of the awkward moments between you and Gabby when it comes to Matt, you are still best friends. Gabby was one of your biggest supporters when you were pregnant with y/s/n. You and Matt had recently broken it off because of his alderman duties when you started getting violently sick. As your roommate and fellow paramedic, Gabby was obviously very concerned until she connected the dots.
Now, a little over three years later, you and Matt are married with a baby girl on the way. The morning sickness has definitely been the worst during this pregnancy, but Matt, Gabby, Kelly, Brett, and Stella have been nothing but supportive. As of right now, you are laying in Matt’s office with a trash can by his cot while Brett and Gabby are trying to calm you down as Matt rushes around to grab a few things. Kelly finds Matt pacing in the locker room, running his hands through his hair.
“Woah man. What’s wrong?” Kelly asks, coming to stop Matt and try to calm his best friend.
“God Sev.” Matt mutters, tears threatening to spill. “She is just so sick and I hate seeing her like this. I mean, I was talking to Gabby the other day and I don’t know.” Matt said, shaking his head and lowering himself to a seat on one of the benches.
Kelly sighed as he lowered himself to the bench beside his best friend. “You don’t have to be afraid Matt. You are already such a good husband and father. Adding one more will be a piece of cake.” Kelly soothed, patting Matt on the back.
Matt shook his head. “I never really had a father figure growing up. I’m scared I’m going to mess up and they are going to leave. Gabby tried to talk me down too and nothing…”
“Excuse me?” You croaked, leaning heavily on Brett as she helped steady you on the way to the bathroom while Gabby stayed behind to change Matt’s sheets.
“Y/n.” Matt sighed, standing slowly and coming over to you.
“No. You talked to Gabby and Kelly, but not your own wife? The mother of your TWO children!” You exclaimed, starting to shake as you began to yell.
“Baby. It’s not like that at all.” Matt plead, hands out to steady you, but you tumbled back, only being caught by Brett.
“You don’t get to be scared Matt Casey.” You whispered. “You and I are suppose to be in this together. I’m terrified every single moment since I’ve been pregnant. You know I have a fear of vomiting, yet I go through this because I love you and I love y/s/n and I want him to have a sibling.” You wept, closing your eyes as the world stared to tilt.
“Y/n!” Matt, Kelly, and Brett yelled.
You pushed back at Matt when he tried to touch you, letting Brett and Kelly lower you to the floor.
“Go get a sick bag, a water, and Gabby. Have her bring the go bag.” Brett said, feeling for your pulse.
“Shhhh. Breathe.” Kelly instructed, taking your face in his hands. “Everything will be just fine.”
“What if he leaves?” You sobbed, grabbing onto Kelly for dear life. “I need him. I’m just really hurt that he won’t talk to me but I need him.” You sobbed, not realizing that Matt was standing behind the three of you as he waited for Gabby clutching a sick bag and a bottle of water.
“Baby, no.” Matt whispered, coming to crouch in front of you, handing what he had off to Kelly. “Yeah, I’m scared and yes, I should have talked to you. But understand this: I. Am. Not. Going. Anywhere.” Matt emphasized, looking you dead in the eyes. “Both Gabby and Kelly found me in a panic and that’s why I told them. You are dealing with so much right now and I don’t want you to worry about me too.” Matt explained, wiping the tears from your face as Gabby came in with the go bag, slipping the pulse ox on your finger and the BP cuff on.
“How we doin?” Gabby asked, seeing your heart rate elevated and your oxygen levels at 95.
“Nauseous and dizzy.” You explained, leaning into Matt’s hands as he held your face.
“BP’s low.” Brett announced, grabbing the Iv kit from the bag. “I think you’ve got yourself dehydrated. I’m going to place a line.” Brett said, already prepping your arm.
Your eyes widened as you looked between all of your friends and your husband. “No way. Nope.” You said, trying to stand, but quickly falling back down into Kelly with Matt guiding your decent.
“You aren’t going anywhere. Relax.” Kelly said, squeezing your upper arms.
“Matt, please.” You begged, tears streaming down your face. You were starting to turn grey as the nausea built along with your anxiety.
“Shhh. It’s gonna be alright.” Matt soothed, kissing your forehead before turning to Kelly. “Switch with me. Let me hold her, it normally calms her down. Get the sick bag ready.” Matt instructed, quickly switching with Kelly as the man did what he was instructed to do. Matt sat with you in between his legs so that your back was pushed to his chest. He rested his chin lightly on your shoulder as he whispered in your ear. “Shhhh. It’s for the best. I’m sorry baby. I’m so sorry. I love you. I’ve got you.” Matt whispered as you began hyperventilating from the panic of the rising nausea and the impending IV.
“Look at me. Just look at me.” Kelly said, kneeling in your line of sight. He waited until you opened your eyes to meet his own. Kelly smiled at you as he started breathing in time with Matt. “Just relax. We gotcha. We gotta do what’s best for you and the little princess, right?” Kelly said, smiling wider when you nodded. “That’s right. Just breathe. Follow us and focus on us.” Kelly instructed.
Matt noticed you starting to follow, but saw Brett going in with the needle. Matt and Kelly made eye contact as the needle pinched your skin. Kelly saw your change in color as Matt felt your gasp and then gag harshly.
“Shit. Okay, here sweetheart. Hang in there.” Kelly said, placing the bag under your chin as Matt pulled your hair back once more and held you steady around the torso.
“I’m gonna flush this, then give her some Zofran. We gotta get this under control. You cool with that and then some fluids for her Matt?” Brett asked, flushing the IV as she spoke.
“God yes. Whatever you have to do.” Matt instructed, hating how you were squirming and panting in his lap. You shook like a leaf as Matt held you on the cold tile floor.
“Gabby. Can you run and grab a blanket and a wash rag? She’s shaking like a leaf.” Kelly asked, not daring to move the sick bag too far. You were only panting right now, but you had no color to your face.
“On it!” Gabby replied, hurrying off.
“Alright. You know this might sting just a little. Then I’m gonna flush it and then run the fluids, okay?” Brett warned, speaking directly to you now. Once you nodded, Brett administered the medication and did everything else she said she would do before standing up with the bag of saline.
Gabby came running back in as Brett stood up. You were still shaking, but you felt comfortable enough to push the sick bag away. Once Gabby helped you clean your face and wiped the sweat off of your face, she wrapped the blanket around you. A silent decision was made to move you, so Kelly pulled you up and steadied you until Matt stood back up and picked you up, carrying you back into his office.
You groaned, throwing your head back. “Can someone PLEASE get me some mouth wash or my tooth brush. I can’t take this taste anymore.” You whined, shoving your face into Matt’s neck as he sat with you in his lap on his cot.
You didn’t notice Kelly depart from you guys as the lot of you left for Matt’s office. He came back in seconds later with mouth wash, your tooth brush and tooth paste, another bottle of water and another sick bag. “I figured you would want to get the taste out.” Kelly said, confused at the laughter coming from everyone else.
“Thank God. Someone with some sense.” You muttered sarcastically, making grabby hands for the items.
Matt and Gabby muttered “I beg to differ” at the same time, causing everyone to laugh. God, you couldn’t do this without them.
Thanks a million♥️ So for the Brian ‘Otis’ Zvonecek requests I was thinking something along the lines of (reader aka y/n) is a new paramedic at firehouse 51 and everyone including Brian is shocked when she takes an immediate interest in him by flirting with him in front everyone… it’s not a perfect idea so pls feel free to adjust where you feel necessary, this is more of like a guideline than anything.
I was watching the episode where Terra Little joins 51 for a training shift and Otis is attracted to her but of course she chose Kelly Severide instead🥱 so I thought it would be a nice change if Otis is the guy she instantly gravitated towards because it’s very possible I mean he’s adorable common.
Pairing: Brian "Otis" Zvonecek x Female!Reader
"And that would be everything" Sylvie said as she finished giving you a tour of the firehouse.
Joining the 51 had been nerve-wrecking for you ever since you found out your transfer had gone through, mainly because you knew how tight everyone was and you didn't want to intrude on anything.
"Thank you for showing me around. This is much nicer than the last firehouse I was at" you said, admiring the trucks and the ambulance, which was so much nicer than your previous ones.
"How was your last firehouse?" she inquired, not having received much information about you from Chief Boden.
"Typical boy house. I was the only female in the entire house, so you can imagine the atmosphere. The only one who wasn't bothered by my presence was my partner, but we were the same age, so that helped a little" you explained, continuing to walk around.
"I can promise you that it's going to be different here. Our guys are the best, you're going to fit right in with everyone" she smiled and wrapped an arm around your shoulder, steering you in the kitchen direction.
You didn't say anything as you slowly walked towards everyone, each of them minding their own business in the kitchen.
"Guys, this is Y/N. She's the new paramedic I was telling you about" Sylvie announced as you stopped in your tracks where everyone could see you.
"Hi" you said and waved shyly, not used to having so many intimidating pairs of eyes on you at the same time.
Each of them got up and introduced themselves one at a time, wishing you a warm welcome.
"I'm Brian, but everyone here calls me Otis. Welcome to 51, I hope you'll feel at home here" the most handsome man you'd ever seen said as he stood before you, hand outstretched.
You slowly brought your hand up and shook his, electricity quickly spreading through your body when your skin touched his. You inhaled a deep breath, Otis doing the same, which made you smile because it only meant that he felt the connection too.
"Y/N, nice to meet you. I'm positive I'll feel more than welcome here, especially with you around" the words stumbled out of your mouth before you could even think about stopping them.
You saw a slight blush coat Otis' cheeks as he looked around at his colleagues, all looking at the interaction between the two of you with much interest.
Otis cleared his throat and made you snap back to reality, suddenly becoming aware of everyone staring at the two of you and your hands still holding onto each other.
"Otis, why don't you finish the rest of the tour? Show her where we sleep when on shift and the lockers and showers and everything" Sylvie spoke up, sneakily winking at the flustered firefighter.
"Um, ye-yeah, sure. This way" Otis said and motioned for you to follow him.
You turned around briefly to look at Sylvie, who winked at you and smiled, making you smile back.
"She did this on purpose, didn't she?" you asked him, trailing after him down the corridor.
"Sylvie? Yeah, she likes to think she's Cupid and her main goal in life is setting people up every chance she gets. I'm sorry about this" he said, scratching the back of his neck.
"You don't have to be sorry, I'm not complaining one bit" you smiled at him, trying to show him that you were enjoying the situation to the fullest.
"Oh, great. That's, um, that's good" Otis said, cursing under his breath at how awkward he sounded.
"You haven't done this in a while, have you?" you questioned, trying to ease the tension.
"Is it that obvious?" he laughed, the rigidness in his shoulder slightly lessening.
"Maybe just a little" you laughed with him.
"I'm just not used to women showing interest in me first. It's always Casey or Severide or anybody else that gets the girls. It's never me" he explained, which made you feel a little sad for him.
Otis was nothing short of hot and extremely handsome, you couldn't understand why women wouldn't approach him.
"Well, if you're asking me, you're way hotter than everyone else in this firehouse" you leaned in and whispered in his ear before walking away.
You heard Otis inhale a deep breath behind you, making you smile.
You had a feeling you were going to enjoy life at 51.
could I request fem reader x hailey upton x Sylvie Brett
kinks; orgasm control
basically the reader has been edging them both for a while and finally let them cum, and then takes care of them both
oh my god - oh mY GOD -
I'm actually salivating at this concept anon I might turn this into a ficlet (like my sub!Sylvie + Mommy!R fic)
Prompts + Characters
18+/MINORS DNI
"Please, please -" Sylvie sobbed as you turned the vibrator up again, making her squirm and whimper against the headboard whilst you remained between Hailey's thighs.
"Uh-uh, not yet," you stated as you curled your fingers against that one spot that had Hailey white-knuckling the sheets with a loud, unabashed moan. Your torturous antics continued as you devoured Hailey's dripping cunt and made her legs shake with her impending orgasm.
"Fuck -" Syvlie cried as Hailey pushed a hand into your hair, not that you minded because you'd been dragging this out for almost two hours now.
You drew it out for a little while longer, listening to your girls moan and beg for release, before letting Hailey cum first. Tears clung to her lashes as her thighs squeezed around your head and shoulders, grinding against your mouth as her orgasm rocked through her.
Thoroughly fucked out, Hailey went limp against the sheets and pillows. You left a string of tender kisses against her sensitive cunt and a pat on her thigh before untangling yourself from her and moving over to Sylvie, who was a babbling, begging mess.
"It's okay, Bambi, you've been such a good girl whilst I've been takin' care of Hailey..." You reached out to push against the inserted vibrator, leaving no more room for it to move. She grabbed at your wrist and tried to shuffle away from it but Hailey moved in too, stroking her tear-stained cheek and pushing the stray hairs off of her forehead, whispering in her ear.
With a final click on the remote, the pulsing pattern started and you watched in awe as Sylvie got louder and louder through the overstimulated and overwhelmed tears.
"There we go - easy, Bambi, we're right here," you soothed as she turned into a trembling, moaning mess and soaked the sheets beneath her. When you were sure she'd had enough, you turned the vibe off and removed it as carefully as possible.
When everything had calmed down, you fetched them both a bottle of water and some snacks, waiting until they were both ready to try and move to the shower so you could all clean up. You kept assuring them that they did a good job and encouraging them to get into the shower.
Day 25 - The Best Present
*there are writing mistakes in my works, I don’t proofread!*
“Aw Sylvie, thank you.” You hugged your girlfriend tightly. You had just unwrapped the last gift from her and it was a nice warm blanket that you’ve always waited when you went to the store, but didn’t have time to buy it.
Yoh got up to collect all of the wrapping paper scattered about around your Christmas tree and floor. Luckily you were careful enough to open the presents without making the wrapping paper small then it should be, which would have made your clean up job a pain in the ass for sure.
But the smile you once had plastered on your face was quickly replaced with shock once you turned around to see Sylvie kneeled on one knee, with a small box in her hand, opened that revealed a beautiful ring.
“I don’t want to be your girlfriend anymore. I want to be your wife.”
