jamie and reader used to date before he went back to his old team and broke reader’s heart 💔 now he’s back and wants reader back ANGST AND FLUFF PLEASEEE
I’ve been thinking about this request since FOREVER so I hope I did it justice!!
Tumblr media
wonder what it’d be like
You don’t get paid enough for this shit.
“So you do know Jamie Tartt?” asks some journalist doing some piece on some footballer crap. You don’t know and you don’t care.
“If you’re not going to order anything, I’m going to get my boss and have you removed from the premises,” you reply, undeterred in your mission to wipe down empty tables. Brian loves his coffee shop and is fiercely protective of both his employees and his peaceful atmosphere. Wouldn’t be the first time he’s kicked someone out.
“Well, do you have any comment on the fact that he said you were the love of his life?”
You don’t miss a beat. “No I do not. Can I get you any coffee or should I get Brian?”
The journalist declines both, and is out the door.
Fucking Jamie Tartt. What does he even think he’s doing? How did you even come up in an interview? Was the question, who, Jamie Tartt, is the greatest love of your life?
(You’d find out later that yes, that was the question. The journalist was looking for an answer like “Keeley Jones,” or “Kiera Knightley,” something a little spicy.)
It doesn’t matter, the journalist (you think his name was Trent) is gone and you can go back to making coffee and chatting with the regulars.
You should have known that wasn’t the end of it.
God, why can’t you just work in peace? You have enough on your plate, between homework and student loans and the person who’s complaining that their iced coffee is “too cold.”
You don’t need to add “prick footballer ex-boyfriend,” to the list.
But he seems bound and determined to add himself to your list of things to take care of, with the way he’s following you around as you hand people their orders.
“Trent said you wouldn’t talk to him,” he says.
He takes your silence as license to keep going. “Why didn’t you just take the money? Can’t be making much here.”
Do not let him get to you, you remind yourself. Do not sink to his level.
So you just shrug. “I’m not one of those people who fucks a famous footballer just for the money. Now I’m going to give you the same choice I gave that goddamn reporter: you can get a coffee or you can get. Out.”
So Jamie leaves.
It figures that your ex would find some way to make your life hell. Sure, you’ve gotten mostly over him and you have your own life and you’re on your way to becoming an accountant because numbers are fun and numbers don’t break your heart. So of course, now is when he decides to show up and have journalists poking around.
But you refuse to talk about him with anyone. It’s rude, in your opinion. It devalues your old relationship and yourself and you won’t do it.
So instead you stay after hours, going over finances at the café while Brian and his boyfriend chatter softly and try new coffee combinations.
You laugh as they bicker and and sip everything they set before you, grateful that you don’t have to think about the day Jamie got signed to Manchester City and decided that he was too good for you.
Unfortunately, you have to go home at some point, which means you’re wide awake in your bed, flatmates all asleep leaving you to replay that whole terrible day.
(He said, “It ain’t gonna work, babe, I’m in the Premier League now and I should be with someone who’s at my same level.”
You said, “Don’t call me babe.”
He said, “Don’t waste any tears over me, I won’t be crying so you shouldn’t either.”
You said, “I sure as hell won’t cry over a heartless dick like you.”
He said, “That’s a heartless Premier League dick to you.”
And that was it. A year-long relationship and four year-long friendship down the tubes.)
The article hits the papers and now you’re constantly being harassed by journalists.
You read it, the part about you. It was written in interview format, with a bolded question and then Jamie’s response. It was like a glimpse into his personal life, who he was outside the pitch.
Jamie, you’ve had an astonishing career at such a young age, and made a name for yourself both on and off the pitch. Your name has been in the tabloids with many famous models and actresses in the few short years you’ve played in the Premier League. So my question is, in the history of your romantic entanglements, who is the absolute love of your life?
In your opinion, it was a long lead-up to a short question.
Jamie’s response was two words. Your first and last name.
That fucker.
It makes work so bad that you had to hide in the back while Brian tells people to leave.
You apologize profusely once everything’s closed and everyone’s gone.
“I’ll give you my official notice and everything, and I can still help out with finances if you want,” you say. “I’m- not trying to be annoying, but the extra money would be really helpful while I look for another job.”
Brian shakes his head. “I’m not firing you, kid,” he says. “It’ll die down. And Caleb and I are happy to have you over for dinner if you want to talk about it.”
You’re so relieved and grateful that you hug him.
It’s late again. You’re in your kitchen. All three of your flatmates are out and will be gone until the morning, so you have the flat all to yourself. You’ve lit some candles and turned on the soft lights, and are criss-cross on the counter listening to Fleetwood Mac with brownies in the oven.
You allow yourself to think about some of the questions that were thrown at you throughout the day.
How long have you known Jamie Tartt?
When was the last time you spoke?
Are you still friends?
You shake your head. Weird.
There’s a knock at the door. Even weirder. You’re not expecting anyone.
You hop down and pad down the hall, standing on tiptoe to peer through the peephole. It’s Jamie. You make a face, double-check that the door is locked, and turn back to the kitchen.
“I know you’re there,” Jamie calls through the door. “I can see the light on, and your car’s out front. I just want to talk.”
You’re not going to open the door, but then he calls your name and you’re rooted to the floor.
You open the door just enough so you can look at him, but not enough that he thinks he can come inside.
“I can’t imagine what you’d have to say to me other than an apology, especially after the day I’ve had,” you say, more fire in your voice than you remembered you had.
The fire dies when you get a good look at Jamie’s face.
It’s different.
He looks… forlorn, almost?
“I do, I do have an apology,” he says. There’s no malice, no conniving look on his face.
You say, “Ok,” in a tone so soft that Jamie could almost forget the anger you just held.
“Look,” he begins, but is cut off by your timer beeping in the kitchen. You sigh.
“I have to get those,” you say. “Can’t burn down the flat. Do you… do you want to come in? Just for a minute.”
Jamie nods and follows you inside, closing the door behind him.
He follows you to the kitchen, close on your heels, where you motion for him to sit while you take out the brownies.
“Right,” he says once you’re leaning on the counter across from him. “Look- I was a prick. I thought I was fucking special because my right foot was kissed by god. I didn’t know how to fucking handle it so I acted like a prick. And I never said I’m sorry.” He takes a breath. “Keeley’s always talkin’ about accountability, so… here I am. Taking fucking accountability.”
You just look at him.
“I’m not looking for forgiveness,” he hurriedly continues. “Just wanted you to know that I’m sorry. I’m really fucking sorry for hurting you.”
You’re still not talking, so Jamie gets up.
“Right,” he says. “Right. I’m going to leave ya now. Got fucking trainin tomorrow.”
He’s halfway down the hall when he turns and says, “Oh, by the way, I called your uni. Paid the rest of your tuition, gave them some extra in case you decide you want to keep going.” Then he turns around again and actually heads to the door.
For a moment, you’re too shocked to even move but the magnitude of what he just said sinks in.
“OI,” you bellow. Jamie freezes, hand on the door handle.
“Get. Back here,” you say, voice tight.
“Jamie,” you say once he’s sitting again, “you can’t just pay my student loans. The whole reason I never talk to the press about you is because I don’t want to be like those people who just, like, use you for your money. I had it handled and I don’t need you thinking that I’m just- just- using you. And fuck off with saying that shit in a magazine,” you continue, “You can’t just use me to make yourself more family-friendly. Saying that you like the girl who works in a fucking coffee shop so she can get through school and become an accountant. I mean, what the fuck? Just say it was a model or an actress or something, but don’t use me, because I never used you.”
Jamie shakes his head. “But it’s not like that,” he says earnestly. “I know what you’re like. I know it ain’t about the money. That’s why I said what I said. You really are the love of me life.”
You’re silent, analyzing his face. There’s nothing that indicates he’s lying, and if you can claim to know Jamie at all, you’d have to admit that this might be the most sincere you’ve ever seen him.
All you can manage is a weak, “Oh.”
“I’m really, really sorry.”
“Yeah,” you reply, “you keep saying that. I forgive you. But that doesn’t mean that I want to be friends with you.”
Jamie nods. “Yeah, no I get that, yeah. Right. I’m not looking for that. I just needed you to know.”
You’re both silent for an awkward moment.
“Right,” Jamie says again. “Guess I’d better go. I’ll see you around, I guess.”
You nod, letting Jamie see himself out.
“So, you’re not taking him back?”
“Brian,” you say, “why the absolute fuck would I do that?”
He laughs. “I don’t know, if I had some handsome, rich young footballer come to me with an apology that I didn’t ask for, I’d’ve snapped him right up!”
“Don’t let Caleb hear you say that,” you warn.
Brian laughs again. “Oh hon, he’s heard me say so much worse.”
You snort then turn back to the column of numbers in front of you. It’s bright and early, thirty minutes before opening. That gives you twenty minutes to finish what you’re doing before sneaking out the back door. You’re scribbling in the margins in blue glitter pen when there’s a knock on the glass door. You frown.
“Who on earth is knocking?” you ask.
Brian shrugs. “No idea,” he replies as he goes to look.
The frown stays affixed to your face. If you didn’t know any better, you’d think that Brian just lied.
He’s back a moment later.
“Think these are for you,” he says, arm full of flowers.
You drop your pen.
“What the hell,” you whisper.
Brian just grins and places them on the table. “A nice young man in a pink tracksuit dropped them off. Said to give them to you and that he’ll have more tomorrow.”
“Fucker,” you hiss.
“Me or him?”
You glare. “Both. Either. I don’t care. Take these home to Caleb or put them around the shop. I’m leaving.”
You shuffle your papers together and flee the coffee shop, door banging behind you.
“Twat,” you whisper to no one in particular.
Jamie’s delivered flowers every day for a week and a half and you’re not sure how he manages it, but he always avoids being caught by you. You’re not sure why he’s delivering them to your place of work, but you have a hunch that somehow, somehow Brian and Caleb are in on it.
It’s fucking annoying, really. They’re so beautiful and in all your favorite colors and you’re absolutely pissed off that he still knows anything personal about you.
You’re even more pissed off that you like it.
I mean, come on, he has your forgiveness; what more does he want?
The worst part is you actually miss him. You miss the Jamie you dated, the one you fell in love with but are not particularly fond of the Jamie who dumped you when he got signed for Man City. What’s to stop him from doing that again?
You decide you’re going to talk to him.
Brian brings in a particularly large bunch the next day and you’re on your feet in a flash. You’re out the door before he can ask where you’re going, but he doesn’t need to. He already knows.
You look up and down the street. You know Jamie couldn’t have gotten far.
You catch a flash of blonde hair zipping away to your right.
“TARTT,” you bellow.
The blonde hair freezes as you march up the street.
Jamie turns and grins sheepishly, “Hey, love,” he says.
“Stop bringing me flowers. It’s fucking annoying.”
It might be Jamie’s imagination, but there seems to be slightly less rage in your eyes today.
“Thought you liked that sort of thing,” he says.
“I do,” you say, “usually. When I know why it’s happening. I don’t know why you’re doing it. You already paid my student loans and apologized. I don’t really know what else you want from me.”
“A second chance,” Jamie says promptly. “I weren’t kidding in the article. You can tell me to fuck off right now and I’ll leave you alone. Can’t promise that I’ll never hurt you again, but I can fucking guarantee it won’t be on purpose.”
You’re silent, giving Jamie the tiniest spark of hope.
“Fuck you,” you finally say. Jamie raises an eyebrow as you glare at him. “Fuck you for actually fucking changing. And for making me love you again. You’re all I can fucking think about and it’s been driving me crazy, and Brian’s been no help with all his, ‘you should call him,’ and ‘he seems like a good lad.’ He’s fucking right and I’m fucking mad about it.”
“Yeah?” Jamie asks, “Why don’t you tell me more over dinner tonight? I’ll take you on a proper date.”
You actually smile at him for the first time in ages. “Alright,” you reply, “one date. One. We’ll see where it goes from there.”
Jamie doesn’t care. You’re smiling, which means he’s already won the whole fucking thing. He’s yours again, and he’s not going to fuck it up.

GhostRoachSoap Headcannons ! Again
This time without a meltdown :D But there are my thoughts while writing!
Soap family and before army.
Soap has a quite big family and is the disappointment child. He has three siblings and is the third one. (I'm thinking an older sister and brother and a younger brother). Both of his older siblings are married with children. Sister has two kids and brother one.
Soap's parents are both homophobic so they don't like the fact he is gay and enrolled in army.
He got diagnosed with adhd when he was older but still managed to not struggle with grades at school.
Soap's gay awakening happened when he was around 13 years old when he and his friends were playing 'spin the bottle' (kiss whoever it landed on), he spined it at his best friend and liked the kiss a little to much then he was supposed to. ( Ended up in a secret relationship with the friend)
Was on football team, ended up a capitan. Also he probably broke his arm at least once.
His favourite subject in school was chemistry. He might have blown up a lab and get banned from entering without supervision (inspired by a fic on Ao3, 'Academic Achievement')
Back to his family. His favourite sibling was the younger brother (also gay and a family disappointment). They all bullied eachother but would kill someone if they messed with them (Soap actually ended up in almost killing a guy who sexualy harassed his sister, didn't get charges pressed against him because the police witnessed it and actually helped, the officer was a woman)
Roach
He was the only sibling.
And we need to give him trauma too because why not. So his dad died before his birth and because of that his mom became an alcoholic. She neglected him and sometimes beated him. (Smashed a bottle on his face with the words ' I don't want to see your stupid face ever again' and that's how he ended up with a mask)
Had a wonderful grandma tho ( loving all babushki <3). She was a baddie. Sadly died before he enrolled. Always cared about him and treated his wounds from fights with his mother and from the bullies.
Ah yes, he was bullied. Because of his mask and for having a baby face (he has a baby face can't tell me otherwise, though it's another reason why he wears the mask).
His sexual awakening was probably a super sexy actor in a kid show when he was 9. His grandma laughed when he was blushing because of it (She was accepting though)
'I have a feeling I'm writing about having a accepting babcia (grandma) because I want one' - Alek
Had a small friend group in school but during highschool most of the friends became toxic and manipulating. ('I have a feeling this is a self insert :') why am I still friends whit those people?'- Alek)
Ghost, well idk what you expect but
He had a shit childhood as we know frome the comics and everything.
He was feared at school and was the quiet kid. No one wanted to be friends with simon 'the freak' Riley in school.
Had and online friend group tho. They all either killed themselves or went offline forever.
Gay awakening was Roach because our man is stupid and couldn't tell he was attracted to the crew of "Pirates of the Caribbean" (I'm talking Johnny Depp,Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom)
All for now I guess. I might do the background of Soap siblings if you want me to. Though the youngest brother may be a bit of self insert.
Also in my headcannons Ghost and Soap are both from the reboot.

Book Recommendations: For Fans of… Knives Out
Did you enjoy the newest Knives Out mystery, Glass Onion? Here are some read-alikes you may enjoy!
Secrets of the Nile by Tasha Alexander
Lord Bertram Deeley, a renowned amateur British collector of antiquities is entertaining his closest friends at a lavish cruise up the Nile to his home at Luxor when he suddenly collapses after offering a welcome toast, a victim of the lethal poison cyanide. Who amongst this group of his nearest and dearest would want to kill their generous host: an archeologist whose dig Deeley was funding until he suddenly withdrew support? A powerful politician whose career Deeley had secretly destroyed? A dyspeptic aristocratic English spinster whose hired travelling companion seems determined to protect her employer? Or even the formidable Mrs. Hargreaves, Lady Emily’s mother-in-law, who may have spurned the advances of Lord Deeley when they were both younger? A key clue may lie with several ancient ushabtis, exquisite three-thousand-year-old sculptures that played a role in yet another murder in Ancient Egypt, a crime with a very real link to Lord Deeley’s death. Lady Emily and Colin gather their suspects together to reveal the identity of a killer whose motive is as shocking as it is brilliant.
This is the 16th volume in the “Lady Emily Ashton Mysteries” series.
The Department of Sensitive Crimes by Alexander McCall Smith
In the Swedish criminal justice system, certain cases are considered especially strange and difficult - the dedicated detectives who investigate these crimes are members of an elite squad known as the Sensitive Crimes Division. These are their stories.
The first case: the small matter of a man stabbed in the back of the knee. Who would perpetrate such a crime and why? Next: a young woman's imaginary boyfriend goes missing. But how on earth do you search for someone who doesn't exist? And in the final investigation: eerie secrets that are revealed under a full moon may not seem so supernatural in the light of day. No case is too unusual, too complicated, or too, well insignificant for this squad to solve.
The team: Ulf “the Wolf” Varg, the top dog, thoughtful and diligent; Anna Bengsdotter, who's in love with Varg's car (and possibly Varg too); Carl Holgersson, who likes nothing more than filling out paperwork; and Erik Nykvist, who is deeply committed to fly fishing.
This is the first volume in the “Detective Varg” series.
The Murder of Mr. Wickham by Claudia Gray
The happily married Mr. Knightley and Emma are throwing a house party, bringing together distant relatives and new acquaintances - characters beloved by Jane Austen fans. Definitely not invited is Mr. Wickham, whose latest financial scheme has netted him an even broader array of enemies. As tempers flare and secrets are revealed, it’s clear that everyone would be happier if Mr. Wickham got his comeuppance. Yet they’re all shocked when Wickham turns up murdered - except, of course, for the killer hidden in their midst.
Nearly everyone at the house party is a suspect, so it falls to the party’s two youngest guests to solve the mystery: Juliet Tilney, the smart and resourceful daughter of Catherine and Henry, eager for adventure beyond Northanger Abbey; and Jonathan Darcy, the Darcys’ eldest son, whose adherence to propriety makes his father seem almost relaxed. The unlikely pair must put aside their own poor first impressions and uncover the guilty party - before an innocent person is sentenced to hang.
Magpie Murders by Anthony Horowitz
Alan Conway is a bestselling crime writer. His editor, Susan Ryeland, has worked with him for years, and she's intimately familiar with his detective, Atticus Pünd, who solves mysteries disturbing sleepy English villages. Alan's traditional formula pays homage to queens of classic British crime such as Agatha Christie and Dorothy Sayers. It's proved hugely successful. So successful that Susan must continue to put up with his troubling behavior if she wants to keep her job.
When Susan receives Alan's latest manuscript, in which Atticus Pünd investigates a murder at Pye Hall, an English manor house, she has no reason to think it will be any different from the others. There will be dead bodies, a cast of intriguing suspects, and plenty of red herrings and clues. But the more Susan reads, the more she’s realizes that there's another story hidden in the pages of the manuscript - one of ambition, jealousy, and greed - and that soon it will lead to murder.
This is the first volume in the “Susan Ryeland” series.
The Hunting Party by Lucy Foley
During the languid days of the Christmas break, a group of thirtysomething friends from Oxford meet to welcome in the New Year together, a tradition they began as students ten years ago. For this vacation, they’ve chosen an idyllic and isolated estate in the Scottish Highlands - the perfect place to get away and unwind by themselves. They arrive on December 30th, just before a historic blizzard seals the lodge off from the outside world.
Two days later, on New Year’s Day, one of them is dead.
The trip began innocently enough: admiring the stunning if foreboding scenery, champagne in front of a crackling fire, and reminiscences about the past. But after a decade, the weight of secret resentments has grown too heavy for the group’s tenuous nostalgia to bear. Amid the boisterous revelry of New Year’s Eve, the cord holding them together snaps. Now one of them is dead... and another of them did it. Keep your friends close, the old adage goes. But just how close is too close?

Emma & Mr. Knightley
“I am going to take a heroine whom no one but myself will much like.” – Jane Austen once wrote of her character Emma Woodhouse.
Tumblr media
But really, since I first read “Emma” in the mid-2000s, Emma Woodhouse was never difficult for me to like. The novel opens with this: “Emma Woodhouse, handsome, clever, and rich, with a comfortable home and a happy disposition… had lived nearly twenty-one years in the world with very little to distress or vex her.” We are more than prepared that we’re about to be introduced to a spoiled, little rich girl who likes to have her way. I believe it’s Emma’s faults that endear us to her. She’s not a bad person; she’s not immoral or vicious. She’s devoted to her father, she looks after the poor, she adores her former governess/companion Mrs. Weston. Though she’s twenty-one at the start of the story, the novel is a bildungsroman – one of self-discovery and self-improvement. When I first read “Emma” and watched the adaptation with Gwyneth Paltrow and Jeremy Northam, I was totally Team Emma and Knightly – the two actors totally sold the romance on screen. Emma should be a difficult character to translate to screen – but every actress that portrays her brings her to life in a new way.
Tumblr media
Time passed, and after other re-readings and study of articles and literary criticism, I began to question Austen marrying Emma off to Mr. Knightley – the guy who spends most of the book scolding and lecturing her. There were times I thought she and Harriet Smith should have a Boston Marriage (apologies, that term comes later in history), or Emma should remain single and free. After all, throughout the book Emma insists she will never marry, and from the adaptations it seems the one she shows continual interest in is Harriet. I became dissatisfied with Austen’s ending and couldn’t fathom why she ended up with Knightley.
Tumblr media
In the last couple of months, I re-read “Emma” and I rewatched “Emma 2009” where Romola Garai portrays Emma, and Johnny Lee Miller plays Mr. Knightley. The 2009 version is four episodes long, so we are able to spend time with the characters and enjoy their story arcs. Also, kudos to Johnny Lee Miller for making Mr. Knightley absolutely hilarious. And Romola Garai….Emma Woodhouse seems to have been created for her. Because of the re-read and rewatch, I’m back to being Team Emma and Knightley. Why did I change my mind yet again?
Tumblr media
Following the marriage of Miss Taylor to Mr. Weston, Emma has time on her hands and decides to take Harriet Smith under her wing and match her up with Highbury’s vicar, Mr. Elton. For the first volume, most of Emma’s attention is on Harriet, the belief that Harriet is the daughter of a gentleman, and this prospective match. There are other things going on, but Emma’s focus is primarily on Harriet…but as the book progresses her interest in Harriet wanes. Harriet is still a sort of companion to Emma, but after Mr. Elton drunkenly proposes to Emma at Christmas time and her plans are ruined, Harriet is more in the background. Emma occasionally thinks of her, considers setting her up with others, and then after Harriet fancies herself in love with Knightley, Emma ghosts her friend. In the book, their friendship is never quite the same. When Harriet’s father is revealed to be a *gasps* tradesman and she marries Robert Martin, placing her in a different place in society, they go their separate ways. Harriet is also an afterthought when characters like Frank Churchill, Mrs. Elton, and Jane Fairfax show up in Highbury.
Tumblr media
Mr. Knightley, however, is consistent throughout the book. Yes, he’s often scolding or mansplaining, but he is there and Emma’s romance with him is foreshadowed from the start. In his defense, he does own up to mistakes and faults. Emma and Knightley were always friends; they speak with out reservations, with complete honesty. Theirs is a friendship to lovers trope – perhaps its even the origin of this trope. In a way, I prefer their romance. They are equals and will never have to worry about one or the other being higher or lower in their sphere. They bicker and fuss like an old married couple. Yet Emma greatly admires Mr. Knightley; in her opinion he is the best example of what a gentleman ought to be. He is intelligent, honest, responsible, considerate of others, thoughtful, loyal, diligent, active…Emma becomes the best version of herself when she’s with him.
Tumblr media
Like Emma, I’m searching for my own Mr. Knightley – someone I admire enough to fall in love with. My aunt once told me it's best to have a friendship with the person you fall in love with. Because if the romance and sparks peter off, and hard times come along, you'll still have that friendship to sustain you.
Until next time.

Nora | bisexual awareness week '23 q's & a's
A/N: Tagging @choicespride (tysm for the questions!),, Nora's my Crimes of Passion MC who's bi and I have written some stuff (very few, if I might add, which I hope to change) for her, talking about her bisexuality, which you can check out too. (Once I find the goddamn link)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When/how did your OC/MC realise they were bisexual?
Nora realised she was bi in a very gradual way. It wasn't a quick sign from the Gods, rather a step by step process. She didn't put a label to it until after she started dating one of her friends and ever since then, she'd kept it a bit quiet.
Growing up in the 90s and early 2000s where bisexuality was not discussed at length and the LGBTQIA+ community received a lot of general condemnation, Nora never really had a chance to explore the bisexual culture or get to know some queer people herself; outside of her relationship. She didn't realise it was called "bisexuality" until after her then-partner, Stephanie told her so after she realised she liked boys the same way as she liked girls.
Is your OC/MC out? When/how did they come out? To whom?
Nora never had a big coming out ceremony or anything. She understood it and moved on, because for the most part she doesn't have an active social life. But she did come out to Uncle Tommy when she first realised so (he was accepting, ofc) during college and introduced him to Stephanie (which ended up being a terrible decision because they tag-teamed against her)
After college, she went to the police academy to train to be an officer and there, she came out to her friend, Officer Darwick. She obviously did come out to Ruby, Luke and Mafalda once she found the situation apt. It wasn't a huge deal, of course but Nora has had experiences where her telling people she's bi has turned some heads in negative ways. These days, she's careful about disclosing her sexuality.
Who are your OC/MC’s bicons?
Nora doesn't have bi-icons but she had a couple of people in film and TV that made her realise she was bi.
Specifically Kiera Knightley in Bend It Like Beckham (she's watched all the soccer movies), Freddie Mercury, Tomomi Nishimoto, Cynthia Rothrock, Annie Lennox and the main characters of X Files, Dana Scully and Fox Mulder. Nora was a huge TV kid.
Does your OC/MC have any friends/family in the LGBTQIA+ community?
Mafalda, her boss, is queer, who has a wife in canon. They generally get along pretty well; Mafalda, though not invested in Nora's personal life, is definitely somewhat concerned about her wellbeing.  Trystan, Nora's partner and is a mild annoyance, is bisexual like her and they have had fun times watching movies, discussing people ("Why is everyone hot?") and other things. Some of Nora's underground friends are also queer, but they are merely informants so they don't really talk about anything besides work and information. And that is about it.
Nora doesn't really talk to people, she's hardly ever on the internet or out on the streets. She might find some people during pride marches or queer clients, but most of them lose touch. Same with her ex-partners as well.
How would your OC/MC describe their sexuality?
"It's like this, all right, yeah? I just don't know how, but I feel like I'm trapped in between two Hozier songs."
How/why did you decide to make your OC/MC bisexual?
It stemmed out of purely selfish reasons - for me to better explore my own identity through Nora since as I do research into her character and write her, I may be able to understand parts of myself as well.
On the other hand, there was this inexplicable truth. Nora would be bisexual. It was one of the first things I jotted down about her character. Literally "I didn't know how her crisis response is, but she definitely likes men and women!" and also because the world might like more disaster bi representation.
Is your OC/MC celebrating Bisexual Awareness Week? How?
Nora leads a very monotonous life and hates getting dressed up in anything other than her usual get-up. But she might be willing to change her clothes for a bit; just her shirt into a nice purple striped one. She might get a different coffee and a nice pastry, for making it through to see another bisexual awareness week and spend her nights watching a bunch of period dramas with Kiera Knightley in it.
Anything else you’d like to share about your OC/MC and/or their identity?
Nora is very quick to develop fondness for people, regardless of gender but she doesn't show it. The moment Trystan attacked her with a serving tray, she was like "Oh shit, okay. Damn. Okay. Fine." - just absolute pandemonium. When Aneesa, her ex-partner marched up to her, blood on her sleeve to file a police complaint, Nora was just bi-panic throughout. She tends to fall a bit in love with people who give off confidence in any way. It could be a TA explaining a concept with such passion in their eyes, or a barista sketching out a name with such expertise.
Another dead giveaway was when she saw Pride and Prejudice with her friends during a movie night in college. As much as she was behind the Darcy x Elizabeth ship, she found it much more appropriate to ship Elizabeth with Caroline Bingley. After the movie, she had a lot of questions to ask herself, including why she had to simply unearth all of Kiera Knightley's movies immediately.
Nora wasn't on good terms with her sexuality when she immediately found it out. Learning about it in the early 00s when there was sparse awareness made her jump to a lot of hurtful conclusions - including how "it could've been a trauma response", because this was just huge. Nora wasn't used to such a huge revelation. She'd had enough of them in her childhood.
Seeing its implications happen right in front of her - homophobia in her college, in workplaces - it wasn't fun. She didn't embrace it until after Stephanie and her broke up (because she was off to med school in a different part of the country and Nora was staying back) and she got to deal with it, in that chunk of time. Later she learned it was yet another fraction of her identity and she didn't have to take it all fast and strong; explore it in her own time and the future needn't be all grim and worrisome. For every hundred queerphobes out there, there was at least one person to have her back and that optimism kept her going forward.
Nora has had literally the most chaotic dating history ever, which is ironic since she's only ever dated three people until she hit her early 30s.
Stephanie Graham went on to become a pathologist, because she found forensic sciences boring. Rowan Greene hopped from being a police officer to a pink rockstar. Aneesa Wang had to say a tearful goodbye after getting framed for a crime she did not commit and Nora had to send her off in a boat to whichever place she preferred; to escape charges. Not once did she get a traditional "break-up" with an argument or anything. Everyone was in such a rush, everyone fell out, everyone just had to leave.
It did leave Nora with some -- protective issues to deal with, which explained why she got the first plane to Drakovia when Trystan was taken away by his family.
Speaking of Trystan, they both come out to each other in the most unexpected way. They're both watching a film in the theatre; Trystan had brought a book with him to judge the adaptation well. Nora's just beyond agitated. They see two people on screen played by quite an attractive man and a very buff woman - essentially the lead actors and they're breathing heavily after a chase scene. Nora cannot keep her eyes away from the screen and Trystan does too and in the end, Trystan is like "Okay, the adaptation is good." Nora doesn't need words to know he's feeling the same jittery bi panic as she does. It's just so pure, it takes them back to when they were teens understanding themselves, it is just the smallest but sincerest acknowledgement of their commonality. That they truly get it.

Tysm for reading! Tumblr is glitching like crazy, so I hope this reaches you glitch-free!

Proposal: an eight episodes Bend It Like Beckham miniseries. It will show how much has changed in women's football since 2002, and it can also point out where there's still more work to be done, where we still need to discuss structural and personal sexism, racism and queerphobia in sports... jess and Jules will still be the same characters, just updated to fit current times. a miniseries will give us more time to delve deeper into them and their families, but we'll also get a chance to get to know the other girls on the team better. i think there should be at least one trans character on the team, for an opportunity to talk about the gender divide in sports (and just because i'd personally like to see it). Parminder Nagra and Keira Knightley are also there, maybe Parminder Nagra playing the coach who Jess desperately wants to play for because she identifies with her so much, and Keira Knightley playing her wife who's ex-pro and had to retire for good because of a bad knee injury.
oh and of course jess and jules are gay and they're gonna kiss for real this time

I know how to ball AND I know Aristotle
That's a lie - I don't know how to ball, as my mum would say: I have two left legs. Still, that never got in the way of my love for the game of football. Not the actual live game, oh no no, too much violence. I am a fan of fictional football games, especially if they involve a very lesbian looking Keira Knightley.
Tumblr media
When Alex asked me if I wanted to do B camera operating for Keeper obviouslyyy I said yes and very enthusiastically so. He told me they were framing the film as a docudrama and had planned a documentary-style aesthetic, with a bunch of crash zoom, shaky cam movements and wondering focus. He was speaking my language.
However if you've been following the recent development of Oj tato, you would have heard we have some trouble in paradise that's been making me lose sleep and precious editing time. In all honesty, I thought I might have to cancel my prior commitment to Keeper and keep sifting through the footage now that I was finally in a position to do so. But I knew that locking myself in front of a computer will do me no good. The secret to good editing is in fact - not editing, taking a step back and then returning to it with a fresh pair of eyes. I decided to prioritise my mental health and the ever deteriorating eyesight so I hit the pitch. Ted Lasso would be proud.
Tumblr media
Alex very kindly put together a document containing the shotlist, recce framing references and lighting set-ups, so when I got to set I had a pretty good idea of the coverage we were aiming to get. That first day on the pitch was probably the toughest - the rain descended as soon as we touched grass, but I felt in no position to complain, not when I was surrounded by SAs in shorts.
But the team was so great, not even the rain could stand in our way. I was really impressed by the amount of preparation that they'd done and how little problem-solving they had to do during the actual shoot. Twas Bergmanesque really - spending so much time in pre-production meant that the shoot was merely executing everything that has been agreed on. I was in safe hands.
Funnily enough, after spending most of that shoot wrapped in a polybag, using my camera viewfinder to see where I was, successfully avoiding any puddles and mud, on my way home I decked it like a child. I tripped over a rock, smashed my beard and knees, but stayed surprisingly intact to catch the bus. My mother was right, I do have two left legs.
Tumblr media
Luckily the next day was our day off so I had until Wednesday to recover. And recover I did, because being on that set really did me and my mental health good. Having something else to focus on, that was still in the same creative realm, relatively similar, but also wildly different helped me take a break, but kept my brain occupied. Despite the incident, I needed to move my body and do some physical activity. On top of everything else, I think I also just needed to be in a social setting. Isolated in that editing suite at the far end of Screen Academy I only had myself and the humming of the machines to listen to. Conversations get repetitive after a while.
Working on Keeper was such a delight because it was the best of fiction and documentary world in one film. The lighting setups were minimal and we were working with Sony FS7s which once built, didn't need much changing - lens or otherwise. In true documentary fashion, we were there to capture the action from a safe distance, but just in case we didn't - there was always take 2. Truly, a delight!
instagram
I got to reunite with most of the Saint Catherines babes - Katie, Sam, Alex, Sophie, Orla, Ben, Jack and Monica were all there so it all felt very familiar and easy going. Keeper being the last film to be shot in our year felt like a fitting goodbye - this film degree was a team sport from first year to our last, but now we get to stand on our own two feet (for your sake I hope you have two different feet, a left and a right, and not two left like me).
Being out in the fresh air brought some colour back into my cheeks, hopefully going back to the editing suite won't drain it immediately. Special shoutout to my prodigy Sam Craigie for keeping up the team spirit alive with his questionable jokes. I'll remember them every time editing goes south.
Tumblr media
P.S. - Aristotle I really do know; "Republics decline into democracies and democracies degenerate into despotisms."

🏎️💨 THE FORMULA 1 TAG GAME! 🏎️💨:
thank you for tagging me @wisteria-wisteria <3 (holding your hand in the liminal space that is the asian timezone on tumblr)
1. Who or what got you into F1?
This fic by greenstuff on ao3. Such a good fic, so good that it made me look into F1 more so I could understand it better. Then I watched the first season of DTS and got WAY too attached to Max because I love a villain. After I started reading Lestappen fics, I knew I was in this thing for the long haul.
2. Who was the very first F1 driver you supported? Do you support them now? Have your opinions on them differed or stayed the same since then?
I was a Red Bull girlie from the start because of that fic, and I guess I was a Danny fan for a couple minutes before Max appeared on screen.
Still a Red Bull girlie but not so much a Daniel fan anymore.
3. Who’s your current favourite F1 driver?
Max and Charles. Max slightly more but not by much. Hoping, praying, manifesting an actual championship battle between them, like idc who wins, I just need to see them fighting like they're always meant to.
Truly do not hate any other driver, just mostly indifferent to a lot of them.
4. Is there a driver pairing or pairings you support? What made you attracted to that pairing in the first place?
Lestappen is my ride or die. For all the typical reasons. *Insert that Mr Knightley quote about how if I loved them less, I might be able to talk about them more.*
5. Do your parents, siblings or relatives have a favourite team and/or favourite driver(s)?
My dad's a Schumacher girl, like as in he only watched F1 for him then stopped when he left. I sorta got him back into it because I started talking to him about my interest. My mom and my step dad are Mercedes/Hamilton fans, though I think she only likes him because he also has a bulldog.
6. Do you have any favourite races? Are there any that stand out to you the most?
Monaco 23 was the first race I watched live so that holds a special place in my heart. Singapore 23 and Mexico 23 also stand out to me because those are the ones I watched live with my friends uwu.
7. Do you have a favourite circuit? Can be from the past or from the current calendar.
Honestly, kinda basic but I do like Monaco even though its place on the calendar is kinda contentious. Purely for aesthetics, not necessarily for the race quality. Hopefully Charles can win it before it gets taken off the calendar (though idk if that's gonna happen).
Still trying to learn what my actual fav is for quality of races, though. All the classic non street circuits are good for that I guess.
8. Have you ever been to an F1 race in real life? Feel free to tell us your experience going to one if you like.
I live in a country where the nearest track is a whole plane flight away so no. I don't even know if I'd like to go because the footage I've seen from races looks kinda underwhelming LMAO. Though I wouldn't say no if someone invited me. Especially if it's to Monaco or Zandvoort.
This completely doesn't count but the old place where my step dad worked was one of McLaren's sponsors back in the day and got tickets to Sepang. I just thought it was a cool story.
9. Have you ever met an F1 driver in real life?
No and thank god. I couldn't bare to look Max Verstappen or Charles Leclerc in the eye after writing them fucking nasty for all of you. I think I'd pass out if I was in the same room as Max though, like my body would just shut down.
10. Do you have a favourite F1 car? If so, what is it?
He <3
Tumblr media
I also like the old Marlboro liveries and I think tobacco companies should be allowed to sponsor teams just so we can get cunty liveries. Like can you imagine a Red Bull Marlboro Blue sponsorship?
11. Do you have a favourite one win wonder?
Oscar? Does winning a sprint count?
12. Do you have any favourite quotes from the F1 world? This can either be inspirational or hilarious.
Max has some great one liners, like "Maybe God is with Hamilton but he is not god," and that thing about sucking on an egg (king of duality <3). I also really like the quote of Charles talking about how his grandmother would sew little crosses on his race suits.
Tagging anyone that wants to participate but specifically @carronyaflowers @itshoneywhatever and @amarynas

starcastic’s fun facts about writing Art and Artifice
So, my Vmin Regency AU Art and Artifice is finally finished!! This feels rather surreal because I worked on almost nothing else for the past 6 months. It was such a good experience though because not only did I enjoy myself immensely with the craft and execution of this story, but the people who regularly commented were so wonderfully encouraging and made me feel like the sunken cost was all worth it. Thank you again, I love you all so much!
Tumblr media
A lot went into the making of this story, so I really want to share more about how I wrote it as well as pointing out little Easter eggs I included, both relating to BTS or the time period. If any of this interests you, keep reading below!
FUN FACTS FIRST!
Not sure if anyone got this, but the title is in fact a riff on Pride and Prejudice! And the sequel will be even more silly by having a very Blackadder the Third take on another Austen title, but you’ll have to wait and see which one it is.
I already mentioned in an author’s note that each of the estates had IRL basis, but they also all had fictional ones. Harthaven is meant to evoke Mr Knightley’s Donwell Abbey with its stately farmcore vibes. Ivoring Hall should remind you of both Longbourn (especially with the Mins behaving rather Bennet-like) and Kellynch Hall (their money woes reflecting those of the Elliots). And of course, Davensley is a total rip-off of Mr Darcy’s Pemberley and is here to represent the epic breadth and majesty of all major English country estates.
Taehyung’s Grand Tour itinerary is based on Lord Byron’s from 1809-1811. I’m sure he desperately wanted to go to France and Italy but there’s a war going on out there, somewhere. And Seokjin isn’t here. (My Great Comet agenda will never rest)
Speaking of which, there should have been a Jin mention each update but I failed this when the Sope proposal scene became its own chapter and I forgot. Kind of bummed about it, not gonna lie.
I thought about having Yoongi read Sense and Sensibility at some point since it was published in October 1811. But then he went and established himself as an ardent enthusiast of gothic melodrama instead, how very Catherine Morland of him.
[major story spoiler] The backstory of why Merritt suddenly came back to England was that a great-aunt of his died and he had expected to be given her estate just to discover that this was not the case! Having sold his commission, he couldn’t return to a military career so he decided to wiggle his way back into Jimin’s life to gain his fortune/inheritance instead -- except he did not expect a) Minjeong’s wise decision to will Harthaven to Namjoon and b) Kim Taehyung. [end spoilers]
Not about the story/characters at all but I have a weird preoccupation with numbers so I’m particularly happy that I started this fic on 11/11 and managed to finish it on 5/5.
A tidbit about the sequel: it will be from Namjoon’s POV and centred around him as he was mostly in the background throughout this story and deserves something good after his year of being sad. I’m looking forward to it because how he views himself is absolutely not the same way Jimin does!
THE WRITING PROCESS:
I almost always come up with a story’s ENTIRE plot before even writing it down. So after seeing @dayofkaryn‘s tweet (like I’ve said so many times) in March, I was bit by a plot bunny and thought about it incessantly for about 2 months to figure out the main beats. This way, I can mentally test and veto things – at one point I had an entire other ending to the story that I never wrote down and ergo have totally forgotten what it was (something about Taegi teaming up against Merritt but I do not remember what their plan was at ALL). Of course, the final version of the story almost never resembles the chosen plot 100% faithfully, but having a roadmap is still really important for my personal security!
Next, I outline. Extensively. The version that I kept on tweaking and rewriting over the summer ended up at 11k words by the time I started. The point is that it’s a 0 draft and again, I’m figuring out the beats and identifying what needs to be done in regards to character development, structure, or just basic research.
I started drafting in late September and had the first 3 chapters ready by the first post in November (totally lost my head start by Christmas though, lol). When I draft, I cut/paste the section of outline that applies into a new Google doc and start forming them into sentences and paragraphs. Sometimes I end up rewriting the outline first, especially for later chapters after the story had developed into its own thing with a much clearer personality that deviated from the original plan! In draft mode, I also keep Wordhippo and Etymonline on nearby tabs to help me catch that word on the tip of my tongue and that my vocabulary choice is both period and suitably British. Luckily, thanks to where I grew up/currently live my spelling habits are already UK style!
Once drafted, I upload as a preview on AO3 and tweak for line edits/formatting there. Will admit that by the last 2-3 chapters this was not done and I would line edit after posting because my work schedule was hectic! But then the chapter is published, yay, and I go about my day trying not to think about it and reminding myself that the stats page is not an indicator of quality or worth.
RESOURCES:
I’ll admit that I constantly googled shit while I drafted, ending up mostly on the blogs of Romance authors or Jane Austen fanpages. I do want to shout out this extremely cool collection of articles written by literally one person on very particular and niche topics from the era called the Regency Redingote. Even if it just came to one-liners about Jimin using a mote spoon or trimming quills, the wealth of information is just amazing and I could and have lost hours of time just reading about these random Regency things.
I also used videos for general education. Ellie Dashwood is a YouTuber who for a long time made Austen and 19th century her thing, so she was great for simple and straightforward explanations. (And she’s Yoongi biased!) There’s also this incredibly detailed re-enactment of a private ball by the Real Royalty history channel that they held in Edward Austen’s house! That one is just FUN to watch and learning more about the period via direct experience is a great way to do it in my opinion. And this one vlog about a pheasant shoot helped me significantly with Chapter 9 even if it’s very modern.
However, nothing beats immersing yourself in the OG stories! While writing this fic I revisited Emma, Northanger Abbey, and Sense and Sensibility from top to bottom, and picked up Venetia as a new Heyer read. I also checked out Jennifer Kloester’s Georgette Heyer’s Regency World from the library which had a lot of details about the setting and culture that was really useful. My library system has tons of Heyer actually, I should pick up another to celebrate finishing the AU!
WRITING SOUNDTRACKS:
I’m a creature of habit and usually will return to the same handful of mood music for a project. For A&A, these were on constant rotation:
For lighthearted scenes [like in chapters 4-7] / Jimin’s “theme”: the complete OST from Emma 2020. I genuinely love this movie for its cinematography and absurdity, and I love the soundtrack too! For Vmin scenes / Taehyung’s “theme”: Twoset Violin’s Mendelssohn 4mil Concert. I really, really like the Bach piano pieces at the start and end, and I find La Campanella to be very A&A!Taehyung coded: torrid and dramatic and also kind of ridiculous. I do pause writing whenever I hear the concerto starting to catch Brett’s panicked face when they prank him every single time, hahahaha
For Sope scenes / Yoongi’s “theme”: this collection of John Field’s nocturnes. My favourite is No. 10, the “Romance”. Soft and gentle, like our sweet Suga!! Other composers I would also put on from time to time were Beethoven, Pleyel (who Jane Austen was known to enjoy a lot), more John Field (concertos instead of nocturnes) and of course, BTS. C:
If you actually read to the end of this very self-indulgent and longwinded post, thank you for your patience! I hope you liked the story too, and are curious enough to see what the heck I’m going to do with pirates in the sequel. Because now I’m going to have to figure that out too. As always, I remain starcasticallyyours!

what are your top 5 movie recommendations?
EYY ok im a terrible person to ask because i absolutely do not watch movies unless forced to at gunpoint and most of them are not queer SO here's just like... my 5 fav movies i guess lmao
THE JACKET (2005) dir. John Maybury 🌸
Tumblr media
(hey my first non-bl related gif!)
The narrative is a time slip fantasy in which a Gulf War veteran who suffered a death or near-death experience while on active service returns to the United States where he is blamed for the death of a policeman, and incarcerated in a hospital for the criminally insane. Subject to experimental treatments there, which involve him being shut inside a morgue casket while tied in a straitjacket, he eventually learns to travel through time and is able to offer help to various people.
i watched this in high school one lazy afternoon with my mom and became obsessed. i don't think it did well? or was really on anyone's radar? but Keira Knightley is fucking gorgeous in it as is Adrien Brody - both of which i had massive crushes on back then. it's definitely HEAVY and darker, obviously, and has a bit of an open ending but i eat that shit up.
"The important thing in life is to believe that while you're alive it's never too late."
PROMARE (2019) dir. Hiroyuki Imaishi 🌸
Tumblr media
Thirty years has passed since the appearance of the Burnish, a race of flame-wielding mutant beings, who destroyed half of the world with fire. When a new group of aggressive mutants calling themselves Mad Burnish appears, the epic battle between Galo Thymos, a new member of the anti-Burnish rescue team Burning Rescue, and Lio Fotia, the leader of Mad Burnish begins.
i've watched promare an embarrassing amount of times, but hey, it's actually a little queer so there's that! the synopsis is just a drop in the hat of what the movie actually is. we love anarchist rebels and advocates for equal rights (and enemies to lovers between a smol angry rebel and a big lovable himbo.) small note - we lost Galo's english VA, Billy Kametz, last year to his battle with cancer. he played a huge role in a lot of my favorite shows and games and it really broke my heart.
DRAGONHEART (1996) dir. Rob Cohen 🌸
Tumblr media
Sir Bowen, an English knight of "the Old Code", mentors Saxon prince Einon in his ideals to make him a better king than his father Freyne. While suppressing a peasant rebellion, rebels ambush and kill Freyne. Then a young peasant girl named Kara accidentally wounds Einon's heart. Einon's Celtic mother Aislinn has Einon taken before a dragon and asks him to save the boy's life. The dragon makes Einon promise to be a just ruler with honor and replaces Einon's wounded heart with half his own. However, Einon proves more oppressive by enslaving the former rebels that killed his father and forcing them to rebuild a Roman castle. Einon also has Kara's father, who led the insurgents, blinded. Believing the dragon's heart has corrupted Einon, Bowen swears vengeance on him and all dragons by hunting them down.
listen, i'm old okay? i watched this obsessively when i was a kid. i didn't own the VHS, i'm not really sure why? but anytime it was on tv i was glued to it. i think i eventually did record it onto a vhs.
MILK (2008) dir. Gus Van Sant 🌸
Tumblr media
In 1972, Harvey Milk and his then-lover Scott Smith leave New York for San Francisco, with Milk determined to accomplish something meaningful in his life. Settling in the Castro District, he opens a camera shop and helps transform the area into a mecca for gays and lesbians. In 1977 he becomes the nation's first openly gay man elected to a notable public office when he wins a seat on the Board of Supervisors. The following year, Dan White kills Milk in cold blood.
i watched this just as i was coming to terms with my own queerness. i wanted to learn more about queer history and this movie came out at the exact perfect time for that. i was a freshman in high school, i'd never heard of Harvey Milk before, but my mom had and she encouraged me to watch it. it got me doing a lot more research into queer history and learning where we came from so while the movie may not be perfect, may not be wholly accurate, i thank it for that.
TITAN A.E. (2000) dir. Don Bluth & Gary Goldman 🌸
Tumblr media
"Titan A.E." takes place in the distant future, after Earth has been obliterated by a mysterious alien race known as the Drej. Cale is a human teenager who has been given a mysterious map by his father, leading him on an unforgettable journey.
i am nothing if not an absolute slut for Don Bluth movies. that man illustrated my childhood. as i got older my mom told me about Titan A.E. and said it was a must watch for my nerdy ass. she was correct. it's not the perfect movie but it's a great look at what Don Bluth and Gary Goldman could've done if we'd considered "animation for adults" back then. we're finally getting somewhere with it now, and i like to think we have them to thank in part for that.
also fun story my husband met one of the animators for this film at a party where a lot of people were doing a lot of drugs and he gave him his card AND MY HUSBAND LOST IT
alright anon and friends i hope i haven't ruined your opinion of me with my taste in movies ~ thank you to all the gifmakers that have made gifs of these films, i'm so glad i didn't have to make one for all of them lmao.

Have you ever thought about cross shipping inside the entire Austen universe? Like Emma and Darcy, Eleanor and Wentworth, etc.
Constantly. I am constantly thinking of cross-universe ships.
I have properly shipped Darcy & Anne Elliot and Elizabeth & Wentworth, it's called One Week Late. (and at some point I'm going to edit and publish it but so much to do and so little time!)
I wrote an entire novel where I matched up secondary characters from five of the six Jane Austen novels, Caroline Bingley, Sir Walter Elliot, Elizabeth Elliot, Frederick Tilney, Tom Bertram, and Nancy (Anne) Steele. It's called Prideful & Persuaded.
And I have a great idea for a story where Lucy Steele (jilted by Robert) and Isabella Thorpe team up to try and catch Bingley while he is at Netherfield. I need to actually write this someday. And they bring John and he's trying to catch Caroline... lol
I'm also writing a series where John Yates visits each novel and gets each family to put on Lovers' Vows...
As for main character ships:
I think Darcy would work well with Anne Elliot, Eleanor Tilney, Elinor Dashwood, and Fanny Price (though he might be attacted to Mary Crawford first). He'd probably treat Catherine Morland and Marianne Dashwood like little sisters. His worst possible match is Emma, they would drive each other into worse snobbiness.
Henry Tilney would probably feel very protective of Fanny Price, but I don't know if they would work as a couple. He seems to like Catherine's admiration of him (and her honesty and goodness) and I'm not sure where else he could get that.... I do think he'd like Anne Elliot.
Knightley might be a good match to Elinor Dashwood or Fanny Price.
Edmund... the funniest thing I ever saw was him and Isabella Thorpe! Uh, I don't want to ship Edmund.
Colonel Brandon and Anne Elliot mourning their tragic love lives... Or maybe some Elizabeth Bennet with her lively mind!
Oh, worst ever ship: Marianne Dashwood and Captain Benwick! So dramatic!
I also think Marianne and Fanny Price would be the best of friends and gush about poetry from dawn till dusk.
So yes, I love to imagine that everyone in Jane Austen's novels is in the same England and they might marry each other.
(I have actually married Caroline Bingley off to four different men from other novels, Sir Walter, Mr. Elliot, Rushworth, and William Price)
