Do you think the Bridgerton storylines and relationships would have been different if The Bridgertons weren't a titled family, or rich but the spouses were?

Weirdly had this thought after watching the latest Magic Mike movie 😅 that somehow led to me wondering about Bridgerton and the divide between the wealthy and poor.

Current thoughts: ok so let's go Modern Au, because icbf with the regency rules and proprietry.

Bridgertons are like Modern Au Weasley family/ Cheaper by the dozen vibes.

Simon: Still the son of a Duke, canon backstory with Anthony being his best mate. They met at a fancy boarding school but Ant was a scholarship kid. In attempt to escape his Aunt's matchmaking schemes, he propses a fake relationship with the waitress he'd just witnessed sucker punch a rowdy customer. Unaware of just how inevitable their meeting truly was.

Kate: known cold stone Heiress to her late Father's company. An active workaholic who is always triggered into fight mode by that 'Bridgerton bastard' who works for her good Friend Simon (cbf thinking of proper roles rn😂😅)

Sophie: After her dad died, she's surprised to learn he named her his official heir despite her illegitimacy and only left a stipend for her step family in his will. Forced to go into hiding after multiple murder attempts, she has a fateful encounter with a struggling art student and becomes his unwilling muse.

Penelope: The Featheringtons are high class old money folk, but Pen is desperate to escape the suffocating lifestyle she's been born into. She wants to branch out make a name for herself with her own hard done work to thank not some dead ancestors lucky gamble in investment and business. Thank the gods for the charming bartender who's become the listening ear she's desperately needed all her life.

Phillip: Mostly similar cannon backstory. Except the children are his brothers and they do indeed need a nanny. Eloise didn't even know what she applied for. All she knew was she'd get a free room(no dorm expenses) free food (no meal expenses) and no transport fees (uni was only a 40 minute walk!). What a deal, and it'll keep Anthony off her case about finances!! How hard of a babysitting job could it be?

As far as I got, but would love to hear if you or anyone else has any other thoughts to share or add 😁😁

Magic Mike, lmao. I should probably watch that series if it's giving people ideas. But yeah I do think it would definitley change some dynamics espcially since three, four if we count the tv series, of the spouses came from not okay money situations.

Saphne: So for this I can still see it going as a mutually beneficial fake relationship for both. Hear me out, sex historian Daphne. It's a newer field and newly graduated Daphne is working to help get it off the ground with social media, but she doesn't have much time due to her long hours as a waitress. In comes Simon, her brother's best friend, who allows her the chance to help boost her following. Everyone would be curious about Simon Basset's new boo, and Simon will get his aunt off his back about finding love. Anthony orinally doesn't want his sister in the limelight like that but he does eventually consent when Daphne starts pulling in numbers and can leave her waitress jobs where a bunch of creaps like to come. Oops they fell in love.

Kathony: I can see this going one of two ways, the first being something similar that anon wrote, or mistress Anthony. Anthony works with Simon in his law firm, with hopes to open up his own practice one day, but that's a far off dream with seven siblings, five who are helping with the bills, and a mother to help support. Kate's frustrated with her job as the heiress to her father's company. She's needs a release. That lawyer Simon keeps sending looks handsome enough and one hate sex night later Anthony is now Kate's mistress. There's no way this is gonna backfire on either of them right?

Benophie: Hear me out, makeup artist Benedict. His true talent lies in painting, but that doesn't pay the bills. He's good with a brush, and once in a while, he gets to have fun with special effects makeup. Sophie is being paraded around as the new Pennwood heiress, despite her suspicious birth. Her stepmother is doing everything in her power to have the media downplay Sophie and her ability to be the heiress to Pennwood by getting every makeup artist to purposely make Sophie look horrible. Having enough Sophie calls her friends for a makeup artist her stepmother hasn't sunk her claws in. Enter Benedict. Benedict works his magic and makes Sophie look fabulous for her next interview. Sophie has found her new makeup artist, and Benedict has found his new muse.

Polin: Penelope is from old money, and she hates it. She feels trapped and suffocating from all the rules she has to follow. She wants to leave and make something of her own. Her friend Colin, who she met in a writer's group, jokes she can write a tell all book. That earns him a sock in the arm from Penelope, who refuses to become a stereotype. Colin wants to see the world one day. Travel to far off places, explore the culture, and most importantly, try the food. Penelope thinks he has what it takes to be a travel writer. He's shared what he wrote when in his journal during the rare family outing to the beach, and it almost felt like you were there. Well Penelope has more money than she knows what to do with and knows about running a blog. She might not what to do with herself but she can help somebody else. Who knows maybe she'll get some inspiration. Hey Colin, how would you feel about a trip to the Mediterranean?

Philoise: Throw them in the plot of the Nanny, and there's the modern philoise au. But on a serious note, Eloise doesn't even know what she applied for, all she knew is that the benefits were perfect. Needing a nanny for the weekend, Phillip hires Eloise on a test run. Her methods are unconventional, but Oliver and Amanda haven't scared her off. Phillip would almost dare to say they like her, and Phillip might like her too.

Yuu Shi

1. I- I have so many. There is a whole playlist dedicated to her, but if I had to pick ONE in specific, it'd be Thank God I'm Not You.... and Aishite Aishite Aishite as a close second with the bonus that her voice claim sang a cover of it- and Siren as a third. Im indecisive.

2. Cater Diamond! They share a similar sense of humor, and they go back and forth pretty easily, somewhat similar to her and Ace. However, Yuu Shi actually enjoys interacting on social media, texting, and spamming with horrid jokes or memes. They share similar family issues as well.

3. Vil Schoenheit. She disagrees with him regarding a large majority of his principles he stands so firmly by, but she also relates to him greatly. She looks up to him and wants to rival him simultaneously. Whether she is successful in that regard enters spoiler territory.

4. Bugs, spiders, and snakes. Shit gets wild with Jamil.

5. Music is her best class :D She used to attend a performing art school, so she is very familiar with all the assignments and is usually called on as an example.

6. Art. She can't draw for shit. The long process of improving at it also makes her want to crawl into a hole. Not good at something immediately? Abandon it! Thats her unhealthy motto.

7. Pop Music Club. I feel this is rather self explanatory(#5). Plus she really needed an electric guitar to borrow since she lost her own. Music in general helps keep her sane at NRC.

8. Leona Kingscholar. She wants to kick his ass so bad. She DESPISES him. Mostly out of fear, but she would never admit it. The first interaction with him in the botanical gardens really scares her.

9. Of the canon staff members it would be Mozus Trein actually. She finds history to be a rather easy subject, and she really likes his cat. There's really not any other reasons. She isn't a big fan of authority figures (if she isn't one of them).

10. Octavinelle! Pomefiore is a close second, with beauty being of high importance to her, but she doesn't go to the same lengths to maintain it.

11. Hooo she would never admit it, but most likely Riddle. She just wants him to break out of whatever chains his mother shackled him in. Maybe it is because she is projecting, or maybe it is because she actually has a soft spot. Maybe both.

12. Bean day >:) No magic? Sign her the fuck up. Any more details and I'd go into spoiler territory.

13. Again, Leona Kingscholar. She would get her shit wrecked in a fair fight.

14. She places pretty high in her class once she gets the hang of how the world functions. She has similar grades to Azul or Jade.

15. She holds a lot of secrets away from the other characters. The most obvious one is her real name.

17. She finds them bothersome. She dislikes how jumpy they make her feel, and even when they are kind she is apprehensive around them. Yuu prefers to avoid them.

I wanna pick at your wonderful mind for a minute; have you got any headcanons regarding Kaitlyn (and your other Quarry muses if you'd like too! ) about the aftermath of Hackett's Quarry? Did Kaitlyn keep in touch with anyone, if so, who? How does she feel about that night?

OH YOU ARE SO LOVELY!!!!!! thank u so much for this omg

so to understand kaitlyn's feelings about that night i'll give you a little context about my hcs for her life in general!! her mom hasn't been in the picture for a while, so she mostly grew up with her dad, who she would describe as an absolute weirdo (affectionate). he's the one who taught her to shoot and general survival skills, he's sort of toeing the line towards being a prepper LMAO but definitely on the more sane side of things, more kooky than unhealthily obsessed if that makes sense ! so for her whole life he's been a big believer in being prepared to fend for yourself, self sufficiency, etc etc. she grew up in one of the bumfuck nowhere areas of upstate ny, lots of trees and animals, her dad bought some land and slapped a manufactured home on top of it type of deal. if you've ever driven around up here (or in any rural area tbh) u know exactly what i mean LMAO.

so needless to say, kaitlyn is SO PISSED to have him proven right!!! /lh. she loves him, their relationship is good, but god it sucks admitting your dad is right after years of telling him to Calm Down. she goes back to living with him while all of the legal aspects are ironed out, he's insanely proud of her for handling herself and defends her very vocally even before the potential charges are dropped. she doesn't really confide in him or anything but he's a strong support to lean on and it helps her to have a place to process and get her shit together.

she takes a gap year before she goes to college, maybe even two. she had been planning on taking one anyways just to work and tuck away a bit of money, she'd been working since she was old enough too but. u know. the cost of school is fucking insane. she kind of wants to go into fashion/costume design for media but she's a little terrified of failure actually. what if she wastes all that time and money and her degree ends up useless?? either way she has way bigger things than that to think about for the first couple years after the Incident.

she and jacob grew up in the same town, so they've always talked pretty regularly, or at least been in adjacent social groups. she keeps talking to him, she likes the familiarity of knowing someone for so long. a lot of her friendships are a little superficial, so she's not really used to still having childhood friends jgkdka so he's important to her. she talks to dylan too, which probably means she talks a little to ryan by extension, but mostly dylan. she definitely worries about him coping with the whole No Hand thing and doesn't want him to feel ditched so she makes it a point to keep in contact with him. she occasionally talks to abi and emma, but she's significantly less close to them, and she doesn't really talk to nick? i think she'd like laura a lot but they would have to actually talk and get to know each other first. ofc that's all dependant on them actually surviving the night gjskfj she is definitely worse off if anyone dies!!

as for how she feels about it all, it definitely takes her a bit of time to start feeling Mentally Stable again but she gets there!! at first she's just exhausted, overwhelmed, still can't really even make sense of what happened and everything they saw. she doesn't really have anyone to process it with outside of their little group of counselors, and she never wants to bother them. there's a decent amount of isolating herself and just trying to piece herself back together on her own. she's definitely proud of herself for surviving and for stepping up to try and protect her friends, she's glad to know that she would really react that way in a crisis, but she never wants to have to be strong in a moment like that again. she's definitely a bit less spontaneous and impulsive, more conscious of the situations she's putting herself in. once the legal stuff is worked out and she's able to get a full time job, the routine helps her a lot and she starts to slowly interact with people again. she's not entirely sure how to let new people in knowing that she can probably never talk about what she actually went through without being dubbed absolutely insane, so a lot of her friendships stay on that same superficial level as before, but the more time that passes between her and that event the easier it gets. i like to think she really does live her dream gjfkskd get involved in something theatrical, settle down with someone nice, just gets to actually relax finally!! god knows she deserves it😭😭

Hockey ask pt 2 bc I had this idea of Johnny ending up as a lifetime Devils player and by the time his contract his up and he can choose to sign or not, some reporter asks him if he will resign and he kind of looks at Daniel who's now like 30 and he thinks of how they've known each other since they were kids and they've known both the prettiest and ugliest parts of each other and is like, "You kidding? They'd have to pry me out of Jersey with a crowbar."

And Daniel watches the interview later and he's like, "Knew Jersey was better than New York." but the argument is so old and it doesn't even matter so Johnny's like, "Guess it grew on me." and by it he means Daniel.

Interviews in general are one of my favorite means of storytelling in fan works because they force characters to face themselves but also add a barrier between them and their love interest so there's this tension and AHHHH

with your first ask my answer seemed a bit lacking because tumblr deleted my responses three times!!! so that was kind of a summary, but I said in a previous version that Johnny would say stupid shit about Jersey in interviews and get into fights all over the place, but that it and Daniel would grow on him. SO WE ARE ON THE SAME PAGE HEHEHE despite you clearly knowing more about hockey than me LMAO.

ough God them growing together, being on a team together to witness the good and bad, the insanity and the intimacy, OUGH! God that dialogue you wrote between them really is driving me insane because that is so very Daniel, so very Johnny.

Yes there's the barrier of an interviewer being there but also, Johnny just has these reservations despite being a strike first guy! Oh, Daniel, please PLEASE I am begging you to look into your teammate's eyes and see that he means YOU have grown on him. and you're not kids anymore and you should think about the future (the sports journalism scandal in the making about you two being lovers, of course)

I also talked about New Yorker Johnny in a response tumblr deleted. It was mostly in the lens of making fun of him for still being a baby about the cold despite being a New Yorker and a hockey player (and I was talking about Daniel keeping him warm, WHATEVER HAHA) but I mention New Yorker Johnny because of what you said about him becoming so attached to New Jersey.

A moot and I simply love shoving Johnny into Newark especially, because the LaRussos are there! If Johnny really does become a fixture in the Devils team and Daniel and Johnny grow to appreciate and depend on each other after the rocky, often bloody start, I'm sure the LaRussos get to watch Daniel and Johnny cutely play ice hockey at local rinks (heavily bundled up with their famous faces hidden by scarves of course) when Johnny inevitably follows Daniel back home like a lost puppy.

There is something in me that always goes fucking nuts when Johnny finds a place of belonging. He is my special guy and I love torturing him but not more than I love tenderly placing him in a loving environment. New Jersey fights him and he fights it, but ultimately he fits into the state and the team and into a role where he and Daniel are so so very close. Ahhh!!!

Though, Johnny still argues the merits of New York over Jersey. He takes Daniel all the time, even if they probably end up living in Jersey...together 😈 hehehe when they retire and the world's a little kinder, they will be the cutest famous couple, I'm telling you. Yeah I'm jumping the gun with the ~romance~ but whatever, sue me. I'm crazy about them.

I thank God every day that we didn't have social media as we know it now during the Schumi era or Seb's red bull era because I'm sorry but some of y'all wouldn't have survived. They would've decimated you, especially those of you who can't stand the likes of Fernando and Max. Nando is well Nando (he's a war criminal but he's my war criminal and if anything the war crimes just add to the appeal) but for the most part Max is an angel in comparison to his fellow red bull golden boy and to his uncle Michael and most definitely in comparison to Nando lmao.

Like multi 21, legit the entirety of red bull Seb and Ferrari Michael, the 1994 Australian Grand Prix, Michael v Jacques in 1997!!!, legit the entire Ferrari garage having to stop Michael from killing David Coulthard at Spa in '98, and so much more on top of them both absolutely dominating the sport at the same time. Michael is the only driver to date who has ever achieved a 100% podium finish for an entire season, Seb has the most consecutive wins in a season and his 2013 season is regarded as the most perfect F1 season a driver has ever had.

Like those of you started supporting Seb during his Ferrari days, I'm sorry but you will never truly understand what it was like. Seb, Red bull were despised like we got booed at every opportunity. We said fuck you we're going to win and we're going to enjoy every single boo because we know you only boo us because you can't beat us, and then we did, just like Michael said and did before us. I, like many, was raised in the Schumi to Seb pipeline, their years of dominance are my golden years of F1 and they always will be. They will always be my goats.

I'm very against gatekeeping and it truly doesn't matter how or why you got into this sport but there's no denying that those of us who supported Schumi and red bull Seb (+ Nando at literally any point lmao) hit different. Those of you who came after merely adopted F1 chaos; we were born in it, moulded by it.

What led you to start writing fan fiction?

This is embarrassing i was publishing original fiction on wattpad in middle school and it just wasn't getting clicks so I started writing fanfic to get people onto my page in hopes of luring them to my original fic lmao it was all terrible but I'm glad I did it, it gave me the confidence and attention I need to pursue writing

4. What themes/concepts in the canon do you most enjoy exploring in your fan works?

I'm obsessed with the way that "great power/great responsibility" has been distorted by canon, how Peter himself has twisted it into a sword he falls on, how Peter uses responsibility to isolate himself but also to draw people in because he has to be responsible for them to the point that he turns people into heroic actions he must take rather than like human beings. His moral code is so strict but not in an edgy Batman way but in a "driving himself to self-harm to hold up these rules he's imposed on himself out of a twisted sense of guilt" way.

Also like... Peter Parker is canonically into bondage love writing fics about that

5. What aspect of writing have you most improved over time? How did you improve this? What are you trying to improve on now?

I think my style of writing has really improved idk really how to explain it but my older stuff has a monotony to it. Idk how i fixed it, maybe became aware of passive voice? spiced up my sentence structure? Is childhood nostalgia a cope out? I'm mostly writing in Spider-Man fandom because I think it has the most potential of the super hero fandoms to explore social systems (even if it doesn't). Everything about Peter is very human especially his ugly elements and the violence of the mask provides a fascinating way to explore it. Themes of duality you see the vision

13. What are some must-read fanfics in your fandoms? Why do you admire these, and how have they impacted your works?

Oh god I make fic recs all the time, what's something I haven't talked about recently? obviously everything by Traincat for the spideytorch side of the fandom. I really like softgrungeprophet's Peter/Flash fics especially since Flash is trans femme like oh my goodness you get it. I'm always thinking about spideywhiteys' series ultraviolent. waterme, a cry in the wilderness, and justgail are my anchors in the storm of spideypool fanon like thank god someone else is right about them. but like yeah most of my fic bookmarks on public i put myself on blast for yall

16. What's the worst writing advice anyone ever gave you? Why was this terrible advice?

I've often been told that writing fanfic is a waste of time especially if you ever want to be a series traditionally published author. and like i agree that it can create bad writing habits. but if you write with the intention of creating a unique style and voice and like you truly try to maintain canon characterization it's a fantastic way to improve and get a lot of feedback. only writing original fiction for the sole purpose of traditional publish is such a lonely way to write. every writer needs an audience even for early drafts

Jeremy = Chris H. - there would be so many "bro!!!" and "dude!!!" exclamations here, I can't even. Like two naughty kids in a candy shop, running around and causing all sorts of mischief while laughing hysterically. They just genuinely enjoy each other's company. Massive jock energy.

Kevin = Chris P. - I feel like there would be this complete sense of bafflement and like 'how do you tick' going on. It would be a constant game of Kevin trying to "figure him out" that would crack Chris P. up I think. Like, he doesn't know this dude's deal, and Chris certainly isn't clarifying it for him.

Jean = Chris E. - Jean would choose him for the sole reason of wanting to mess with him. Like I think he would just do the whole "shock and awe" thing to get Chris' reaction and that trademark laugh. (He does not find it cute; he does NOT find it cute, ok???) Then Chris E. would turn the tables on him and prank him back and I think Jean would be both scandalized and impressed.

I may have spoken about the Core 4 here and there, but it's probably been a while. I tend to just...kind of hand wave past things that don't interest me and that collective doesn't really interest me.

Believe it or not, I don't mean that in a bad way. I love snc, I'm happy they're happy, and as I mentioned before, I am the Switzerland (aka neutral territoy) of the girls...I just don't really have a need to get excited over a group of friends that post innocuous friend content, like making puzzles and getting fall down drunk at festivals. I mean, cool for them, happy they're thriving or whatever, but I'm not super invested.

I also don't really have an opinion on snc including them in their videos, mostly because they aren't in every one. I like that snc switches it up, so no one pairing of theirs gets stale (the way Jake and Corey did after a while). While there are a few people snc work with and collab with, or have collabed with in the past, that i actively dont fuck with (as the kids say), the girls aren't on that list. I don't mind them when they are there, I don't mind them when they aren't. Neutral territory.

Now, I assume when you say "the whole situation," you mean Colby and his inability to not vaguely start some kind of absurd shipping shit storm at any given opportunity? Because personally, I'm sick of that whole damn thing, lol.

I want to preface this by stating: I don't think there's anything going on with him and Stas, but if there was- I'm not going to lose sleep over it. Man could be romancing a tree, for all I care, as long as he's happy.

That being said- you brought up Shea for a reason, and its a valid one. This situation is feeling a little...familiar, shall we say? There's a lot of vaguery and egging on of the shipping and all of that going on, and thats gets me annoyed after a while.

That's not really the reason I disliked Shea, so much as the fact that she was manipulating young girls in her group chats and telling them private things she shouldnt have been telling them, and openly hating on girls Colby was associating with and then falsely claiming feminism when she got called out. The weird shit she used to do on social media was just the icing on a cake already full of piss and vinegar, really.

At some point, the both of them (more Stas than Colby from what I've seen, although he certainly threw a lit fucking match into a sewer with that whole "malishka" thing) need to realize that they're causing a lot more of the bad kind of drama than the fun and harmless kind, and knock it the fuck off. Stas...I don't know what her motivations are here, and I don't particularly care, tbh. It's getting tiresome.

As for Colby...good god, that man knows how to flip flop a crowd, eh? He started the day with everyone feeling bad for him because of how down he's been, and ended it with half of the fandom wanting to kill him for once again starting a grease fire on the kitchen stove and then running out of the house and going across the street to the park to peacefully do a sudoku puzzle while the community burns down around him.

Man should give social media classes, lmao.

Anyway, to summarize: my opinion on the Core 4 and the horribly written Core 4 soap opera going on right now can be summarized with one word- meh. 1.6/5 stars.

Have you ever had a pet escape and run away? Oh my god I will never forget Teddy doing this one winter night in the snow. I was going BALLISTIC as my dad ran and later drove after him. If I remember well, he ended up being at the pond not too far from our place, which he and Dale (another old dog of ours) had run to before to play. Thank god he was okay, at this time he just still had good energy and was very into marking his territory and smelling EVERYTHING. He also really, really enjoyed the snow, he used to love zooming through it and just playing.

Do any of your exes know each other? Jason and Juan knew and didn't like each other (at least, I was aware Juan openly didn't like Jason, I'm not really sure if Jason felt anything about him). Tyler MIGHT have known either of them, too, I don't know.

I'm glad you're talking about the absurdity of Blood Vengeance because I remember watching that and thinking, "who this Shin is? Like I don't remember him from the games but also, Jin is kinda an asshole here oh god. Xiao's and Alisa's relationship is cute but aside from that this is a MESS". Seems that they didn't learn from the Live Action movie.

Sidenote I love the pic you shared of Xiao holding Jin's hands🖤 kinda looks like she's holding the paws of a cat/puppy, so soft. The power that that has 🤌

Nope, Shin was just an OC for the movie to serve as a contrived plot point. Which thank fuck, since I didn't care for his character at all. And yeah, Jin was quite an asshole in Blood Vengeance. Not only the whole "IF A MERE FATHER-SON QUARREL IS ENOUGH TO DESTROY THE WORLD, THEN SO BE IT" (lmao writers pls remember why Jin wanted to end the bloodline in the first place) but like. Not doing anything to help Shin was hilarious despite the fact that Jin alone, could've easily saved Shin's life - then there was also Alisa and Xiaoyu, who are BOTH excellent fighters as well. So like, there was no need for Shin to die - they could've easily fought off Heihachi and get him back. Given that Kazuya just... stood there, and acted indifferent by the death (not happy, not upset either) I don't think Kazuya would've cared if they tried to force Heihachi to let go of Shin. But no - they just stood there for an ENTIRE MINUTE for plot convenience (ugh) and then when the three start fighting, their punches were so POWERFUL, that it fuckigngng BLEW XIAOYU OUT OF THE BUILDING - she would've fallen to her death had Alisa not been there and Jin just doesn't even care. 💀 (Remember how in that Tekken Force comic, seeing Xiaoyu get thrown against a wall was enough for DJ to come out? Or how in the SFxTK trailer, seeing Xiao hurt by Juri was also enough for DJ to come out?)

Although, I can't entirely blame Blood Vengeance for Jin's cunty portrayal. This is more so TK6 damage. As that game was the one that unfortunately started the whole "Jin being a complete cold jerk to everyone" and it just kinda bled into other medias (Blood Vengeance, King of Fighters crossover mobile thingy I believe, Street Fighter x Tekken, and even Tag Tournament 2 to an extent) Really, TK6 did assassinate Jin's character and I'm really hoping TK8 will revive him. (He was better in TK7, but wasn't in it enough to really determine.)

Xiao and Alisa's relationship was very cute. I actually hated Alisa in TK6 just because she was so boring. Like lots of people talk about female characters who have no personality other than Female, and Alisa is perhaps one of the biggest examples of that in TK6. Her only personality was really just, "being pure and agreeing with everything MC says unless it's hurting Heihachi lMAO." 'cos she really did just feel like Waifu Bait. But I actually liked that she was a socially awkward weirdo in Blood Vengeance. It gave her actual character, made her feel more unique, and made sense with her being a robot trying to understand human emotion and behavior. But Xiao and Alisa's relationship was also a downside to the movie as well. Because it felt like it focused so much on it, to the point where it felt like a slice of life anime movie more than one that's supposed to be one based on a fighting game. And I just found myself feeling really bored of it. It's like they remember it's supposed to be an action movie and then just threw over the top ridiculous fighting scenes in it.

Especially the last fighting scene - which lots of people say it's good, but... it's really not. Not only just because imo, it's way too over the top even for Tekken standards. But like as I've stated above - we focused mostly on Xiao and Alisa throughout the entire thing. So when we're now spending 10+ minutes of the Mishimas, who were barely in the film - especially Kaz, and Heihachi, and we don't really know / understand their motives, and why we should even be rooting for them (WHO we're even supposed to be rooting for lmao) Like yeah, I know that mostly only fans will be watching this movie and they've played the games. But this movie is also noncanon, and set in an AU. Soooo... this Jin, Kazuya, and Heihachi are still different from the ones we see in the games.

Watching Blood Vengeance felt like I had to turn my brain off through it all. And that's definitely not a good thing. It may actually be the worst of all Tekken adaptations. As much as I critique and dislike Bloodline - I will say I'd probs rather rewatch Bloodline than Blood Vengeance. Although it was also poorly written, Bloodline had more things I liked in it - and while Jin's characterization is still wrong, imo, at least he's an actual good guy - even if the whole "don't hurt ppl ever :-)" message for a little pretentious at times. And I'd even rather rewatch the OVA and the 2010 movie over Blood Vengeance. I've yet to watch Kazuya's Revenge tho (sequel to the 2010 movie) and I probs never will at this point. But yeah, even though I think the Tekken story can be translated into a good show/movie if written well - for some reason, nobody is able to actually execute it and at this point, I don't think we'll ever get a good Tekken adaptation.

YOU'RE RIGHT OMG - it does!! I guess it makes sense, Jin is but a creechure JNDFGJNG. But yeahh!! It's one of my fav win poses from Tag 2. I wanna see Xiao being cute with Jin more often in the games! Especially given they are supposed to be best friends! (With Xiao obvs having a crush on Jin)

Heeseung . . .

The second he spots his member's face inside your phonecase, he gets extremely awkward.

Tries his best not to let it bother him yet he can't help but eye the back of your device as you mindlessly scroll through social media, paying Heeseung and his growing frustration no mind... Which makes him sulk even more.

Feels as though you using Jay's photocard is your way of telling him you like Jay more, which is obviously false because Heeseung is literally your boyfriend but... God knows what goes on inside his head.

Doesn't really say anything about it so you just keep it there for a while, but you do notice that he acts more awkward around both you and Jay. Still you don't replace the pc until you get bored of it.

Once you do finally take the photocard out Heeseung lets out a sigh of relief and things go back to normal 🤨🤨

Jay . . .

He... Really does not care- i'm sorry HELP

Probably the last member to care about these sorts of things. Sure, he's a teeny tiny bit on the possessive and/or jealous side, but he loves you and you love him, why would he get jealous of some piece of paper??

I mean it was probably one of your pulls, the member looks great in that picture and you using the photocard in your phonecase is just your way of supporting the boy, so he sees no problem with it.

Although... He does suggest to buy you his pc in case you didn't get the pull you wanted (bcuz in his eyes manifesting his pcs should be your top priority when buying an album /hj)

But when you tell him that you're satisfied with the photocards and thank him, he just goes "oh, okay!" and continues with his day

Doesn't really care, much like Jay, he just likes to tease and be a playful asshole from time to time. Annoys you so much you're ready to shred the poor photocard to pieces.

His intentions weren't to make you take out the pc and replace it with his, but he isn't against it either. Whispers to Sunoo about how you fancy him and Sunoo just stands there confused as fuck because aren't you and Jake literally dating-

"yeah Sunoo, they definitely have a crush on you, you're literally in their phonecase-" "OKAY JAKE LOOK IT'S YOUR PHOTOCARD. NOT SUNOO'S. I REPLACED IT. YOU HAPPY??"

Sunghoon . . .

Hates it lmao HATES IT. No. Absolutely not.

Grabs your phone and switches the photocard with his own in a matter of seconds. And you just stand there. Shocked.

Immediately realizes when the back of your phone looks different, spots the photocard and if it isn't his, he will switch it. Doesn't matter if he has to do it while you're in the bathroom, showering, eating, drinking water, or are literally holding the phone inside your hand. He will find a way to get that thing out of there.

When buying you an album he buys his own photocard separately so whenever you don't pull him he snatches the pc with another members face out of your hands and gives you his instead. Now you have a collection of Sunghoon's. Good for you!!

Sunoo . . .

Much like Heeseung, it's just a bit awkward for him. He doesn't say much, but deep down he's uncomfortable.

Does his stomach twist because he's jealous of Heeseung in your phonecase or because it's weird for him to look at his hyung doing a cute pouty face? Most definitely the latter. Shithead #2

Doesn't understand why you even like that pc, the aegyo is quote unqote "forced" and "not how Sunoo taught him" but whatever, he lets you have your fun. Plus he gets to tease Heeseung by randomly shoving your phone in front of his face and embarrassing him, so it's a win-win situation.

When you get tired of the pc and feel the need to switch things up, Sunoo suggests you get matching phonecases or take polaroids of each other and use those instead 'cuz if he has to look at another member doing aegyo he will snap-

Jungwon . . .

Jealous for suuuure, he is one jealous boy. Get ready for silent treatment 'cause mans did not come to play-

"Why is Sunghoon inside your phonecase? 🤨 Do you want attention from me or something? Is this your way of telling me you want me to spend more time with you??" "No... I just like the pc-" "😕 Okay then..."

That's when the silent treatment begins, pays you no mind at all. Even pretends you're invisible sometimes 'cause if you aren't doing this for his attention then, fine, he won't give you any at all!

Knows he's acting childish but still, he prefers this over verbal confrontation because it's more "subtle". Which it isn't, by the way. There is nothing subtle about the way his eyebrows furrow whenever he subconsciously looks at your phonecase.

Rushes towards you when you leave to empty your phonecase, holding a polaroid of you two together in his hands and telling you it would look better than that Sunghoon photocard.

Ni-ki . . .

Hates it pt.2 oh god he just dislikes it so much

Tells you straight away that the photocard looks "mad goofy inside your phonecase" and that it should be his, but you just ignore him 'cause he's being dramatic and Jake looks good in the picture

Unlike Jay, he has beef with that piece of paper. He will square up.

Whenever you leave your phone lying around with its screen facing the ground/couch/table/whatever you come back to riki glaring daggers at the pc. He just doesn't like it, it irks him.

Had a nightmare starring none other than your beloved Jake pc. After that he swore that thing was haunting him (it isn't, he just thinks about it a lot because it bothers him that you haven't switched to a ni-ki pc yet ☹️☹️)

"y/n, it is staring into my soul. Get rid of it"

Ends up burning it one night
