If there is one thing Eddie Munson is good at, it's hyperfixating. He can spend hours upon hours wholly entranced by whatever it is that has his attention, whether it's a newly discovered band or a book series he's reading or some random new interest he likes to immerse himself in. It's something Steve, who himself has the attention span of a goldfish, will never really understand, but that's okay: even without understanding it, it's one of the things he loves about Eddie.
Some of Eddie's obsessions fade just as quickly as they appear, but others stay with him for years. So when he reaches a 1000-day streak on Duolingo learning Elvish, Steve has a surprise for him: two tickets for a Lord of the Rings convention in Chicago. The second ticket is not for Steve – they enjoy their own separate interests just fine without the other's involvement – but for Dustin, and the two of them wave goodbye to Steve with a suitcase filled with nerdy costumes and matching excited sparks in their eyes.
Eddie returns a few days later filled with stories about all that he and Dustin got up to.
'Guess who we met at the convention,' is one of the first things he tells Steve. He's bouncing around with excitement, too impatient to even wait for Steve's first guess. 'The guy who created the Elvish Duolingo course! And guess what? He lives in Indianapolis! I'm having lunch with him next week!'
And it's cool, Steve is happy that Eddie met his hero and made a new nerd friend out of him, he truly is – until Eddie shows him the picture that Dustin took of the two of them.
Here's the thing: Steve is not a jealous person. Not at all. He knows that jealousy is a gross thing to feel and he can't even imagine not trusting Eddie. But... he had not expected Eddie's lame nerd idol to have amazing hair, a lip piercing, and muscles in all the right places. The guy looks like a freaking model. And usually, that wouldn't bother Steve – he knows he's not exactly ugly himself – but usually he doesn't have to compete with guys who speak Elvish fluently.
'You should come with me, we can all hang out together,' Eddie suggests. 'I'm sure you'll love him.'
Steve is hesitant about it, but Eddie refuses to take no for an answer, and that's how Steve ends up at Vikram's house for lunch two weeks later.
Eddie gasps loudly when Vikram leads them into his living room, clutching a dramatic hand to his chest in true Eddie fashion. Steve knows it's not all theatrics, though: there's no way a room like this wouldn't genuinely impress Eddie. It's dark and filled with big leather furniture. Framed posters for various metal bands and horror movies hang on the walls. There are shelves filled with big fantasy books, and every corner of the room has a display cabinet filled with what seem to be collectors' items for various series.
If Steve had been hoping for Vikram to look more like a stereotypical nerd in real life, he would be severely disappointed: the guy looks amazing in a leather jacket that would fit perfectly in Eddie's own collection and black skinny jeans that show off a truly amazing pair of legs, making Steve feel oddly self-conscious about the couple of pounds he gained since he left his high school sports days behind him.
While they're having lunch – Vikram bakes his own bread and it's so good that Steve doesn't think he can ever stop eating – Eddie and Vikram enthusiastically talk each other's heads off about all things Tolkien. Steve, on the other hand, grows more quiet as time passes, not really following along and sure as hell not able to give any contributions to the topic at hand.
'Did you ever try to learn some Sindarin as well, Steve? Or are you more of a Quenya guy?' Vikram asks him in what is no doubt a well-meant attempt to include Steve in the conversation.
Steve hastily swallows a big mouthful of bread and feels his cheeks heat up.
'I never read those books,' he sheepishly confesses.
'Oh!' Vikram's eyes widen and Steve can practically see him think: You never bothered to show any interest in one of your boyfriend's favorite things?
'Well, I mean, I tried,' Steve rushes to explain himself. 'But I um, I couldn't really keep my attention to it. They're a bit difficult to read. For me.' Somehow, explaining it only makes him feel worse about it.
'Oh, yeah, I get it, man. Those books aren't for everyone.'
There is no meanness or hidden insult behind his words. But Steve only feels more like an outsider while Eddie asks Vikram some incomprehensible question that has Vikram giving an in-depth explanation about the difference between two words that literally sound the same to Steve's ears. And when Eddie laughs about a joke that goes way over Steve's head, then says something in that stupidly beautiful nerd language which prompts a laugh from Vikram in return, Steve is reminded in full force how ugly of an emotion jealousy is.
They say goodbye – Eddie says something in Elvish again and Steve has to watch Vikram laugh a joyous laugh about it again – and Steve is quiet during the drive back home.
'Is something wrong?' Eddie asks when they're home, perceptive as always.
'No,' Steve lies.
'Stevie, c'mon.' Eddie studies Steve's face intently, a frown between his eyebrows just barely hidden by his bangs. 'What's going on?' Something in his expression shifts. 'Wait. You didn't like Vikram, did you? Did you hate him?'
'No, I didn't hate him!' Steve is quick to say. 'He's awesome, Eddie, he's perfect and smart and funny and perfect.'
Eddie narrows his eyes like Steve said something weird.
'Why did you say he's perfect twice?'
Steve huffs and runs a hand through his hair in a nervous gesture. 'Just drop it, Eddie.'
'No, I'm not dropping it.' Eddie crosses his arms. 'What are you not telling me?'
Steve sighs. 'Okay, I didn't want to bother you with this, because it's my problem and not yours, and jealousy is an ugly emotion, but–'
'You're jealous of Vikram?'
'I mean, he's like, super hot, and he has this cool house, and he loves the same things as you, and you can speak your cool nerd language with him, while I'm too dumb to even read your cool nerd books and–'
'Steve,' Eddie interrupts him. 'You have no reason to be jealous.'
'I just...' Steve pauses, pinches the bridge of his nose. He finally manages to voice the thought that has been eating at him ever since he met Vikram. 'I don't want you to wake up someday and wish that you were with someone as smart as you are.'
The way Eddie's breath catches is barely noticeable. Then, he reaches out and gently places his hands on Steve's shoulders.
'I am with someone as smart as I am,' he says softly.
Steve scoffs.
'No, it's true,' Eddie presses on. 'Okay, so you don't enjoy reading Tolkien, and you don't speak Elvish. I don't care about that, man. I love the way you think. I love your inexhaustible knowledge of weird sports facts. I love how precise you are about weighing ingredients when you're baking something. I love your through-the-roof emotional and social intelligence.' He lifts one hand off of Steve's shoulder to pet his head, almost as if he's some kind of animal. 'You got a pretty big brain in there, no matter what you tell yourself, Stevie. And that's why I love you, more than anyone who speaks Elvish fluently.'
Steve tugs Eddie closer until their bodies are pressed against each other, his arms around Eddie's waist and his head resting on Eddie's shoulder.
'I don't think anyone has ever called me smart before,' he quietly admits.
'Well, I'll do it more often, then,' Eddie replies. 'Cause you are.'
(I wrote this because @undreaming-rambles has reached the unbelievable milestone of a 1000-day duolingo strike today. obviously that called for a silly fanfic celebration moment, congrats on your incredible perseverance aneta 💖 and credit where credit is due: this one was inspired by an episode of my beloved comfort show brooklyn 99)

Flannel and Lace
Tumblr media
Pairings; Eddie Munson x fem!Reader
Words; 1.9k
Warnings; S M U T (18+ only), unprotected sex, fingering, oral sex (f!receiving), spanking, dirty talk, basically just porn without plot
Summary; Eddie comes home to find you wearing one of his flannel shirts, wearing only his flannel shirt.
A/N; Listen. I am obsessed with the photos going around of Joseph Quinn's costume tests but am also distraught that they put this man in a flannel and then didn't even use it! Now, I'm just absolutely feral over it - this is the end result! I am a sucker for a good flannel, especially on a very attractive man. This is just shameless smut, enjoy!
{ masterlist }
You were early; Eddie could hear you shuffling around in his room as soon as he waltzed in the front door. He had hoped he could have some time to get settled before you arrived but then again, it’s not as if he really minded, he had given you a key weeks ago for this very reason. Queen was playing, muffled behind the closed bedroom door and he smirks, knowing you’re in his room swaying your hips to the beat and pretending to be a rockstar when you think no one is looking.
He slips down the hallway quietly, sliding off his leather jacket and denim vest as he goes, hoping to catch you in the act of rocking out. He loved how you felt the music throughout your whole body, how free you always looked. But more importantly, he loved how absolutely adorable you got when you realize you’ve been caught; how your hands cover your face and you shy away from him in pure embarrassment. Because he’s the rockstar, not you. Or, at least, that’s what you always say when he catches you. Eddie desperately wants to bring you to a gig one of these days, see how you lose your inhibitions when he begins to play.
But, of course, this is not what he sees when he pushes open the door. His closet door is hanging wide open and you’re standing in the middle of the room with one of his red flannels draped over your body. And from his vantage point, this single red flannel is the only thing you’re wearing. He groans at the sight, how can he not, and you look over your shoulder with a soft smirk and a teasing glint in your eye.
“You never wear this,” you muse, turning around to fully face him.
Eddie grips the doorknob tighter for stability, licks his lips because fuck, he was somewhat right. That blessed red flannel falls across your frame like a waterfall, a little long in the sleeves but stopping just at the tops of your thighs. It’s also unbuttoned, completely, exposing your supple skin to his searching eyes. No bra, the garment just barely conceals you and to him, you might as well not even be wearing panties because the thin lace leaves nothing to the imagination. He can feel himself growing hard just looking at you and he shifts in place, a poor attempt in controlling his lust.
“It’s, uh, it’s too hot to wear,” he chokes out, brain scrambling to formulate coherent sentences.
That’s when you finally look at him, eyes sparkling in the midday sun and Eddie wants to melt into a puddle on the floor because if you looked at him just like this every single moment of every single day, he’s sure he’d die a happy man.
“But that leather jacket you don every day is breezy as can be,” you chuckle, eyebrow arching. “I don’t know, Eds, this feels nice to me. It’s real soft.”
“It looks good on you too,” he responds automatically.
“Yeah?” You sway from side to side, the flannel moving with you like a lover keeping you close.
“Sweetheart, all my clothes look good on you.” It’s honest and Eddie didn’t realize how true that statement actually was until you kept trying on his clothes. He’s wrapped you up in his leather jacket more times than he can count and don’t get him started on the things he wants to do to you when you wear his Hellfire Club shirt.
You smile, biting your lip softly. Then you’re crawling onto his bed, granting him a full view of your ass before placing yourself on your knees, hands resting against your thighs. Your hair is a disheveled mess and the flannel has fallen open a bit more, exposing a teasing amount of your tits to him. Eddie thinks you belong on the cover of a magazine or a poster he could tack onto his wall and jack off to when you’re not with him.
“Let me guess,” you say, pulling the garment off your shoulders, “you still think it would look better on the floor.”
Eddie finally kicks his ass into high gear, crossing the room to stand directly in front of you. His fingers tug at the flannel to bring it back up over your shoulders and then his lips are on yours, soft and gentle but insistent. His hands trail down to cup your breasts and you push up into him, wrapping your arms around his neck and deepening the kiss.
“Fuck, Eddie,” you gasp when he tweaks your nipples between his fingers.
“I like when you wear my clothes, sweetheart,” he mumbles against your skin, “makes me feel closer to you.”
“Sweet talker.”
“I’m serious,” he chuckles, “but you sitting here posed on my bed makes you look like something out of a magazine.”
“Oh yeah?” You ask, trailing your tongue along his jaw. “Like one of those dirty mags I found underneath your bed?”
“Well,” he begins, pulling back to meet your eyes, “you would make a great centerfold.”
Then he’s cupping your pussy in his hand and your breath stutters in your chest. He smirks before kissing you again, fingers working diligently against your clothed heat.
“Eddie, please, please,” you whine, fingers tightening in the fabric of his shirt.
His hands make their way to the backs of your thighs and he pulls, your legs coming out from under you as you drop unceremoniously onto your ass. He pulls on you again and you’re brought to the edge of the bed where he’s already waiting, down on his knees. Your heart flutters with anticipation.
Eddie’s breath is hot against your still clothed pussy and you shift your hips closer, silently begging for what you want most from him. His dark eyes flick up to meet yours as he teases a single finger across the lace. You let yourself drop to lay flat on your back with a sigh, deciding to let him do whatever the hell he wants to you.
“So wet,” he murmurs when he pushes your panties out of the way, “is this all for me?”
“Yes,” you sigh, “all for you, baby, I’ve been thinking about you all day.”
“Is that right?”
He doesn’t wait for an answer; he flattens his tongue against your cunt and licks a firm stripe from your entrance to your clit. You moan loudly, hands immediately flying to tangle in his hair. His tongue circles your clit before latching on to suck fervently against the bundle of nerves. You arch your back, fingers tightening, keeping him right fucking there. Two of his fingers slip inside of you without warning, setting a steady pace as he pulls every single sigh and moan he can from you.
“Oh fuck,” you whimper, his name falling from your lips like a prayer.
His mouth pulls off your clit with a resounding pop and then he’s moving up your body to capture your lips in a heated kiss, fingers still working inside you, bringing you closer and closer to your release. He rests his forehead against yours, eyes wide as he watches you come undone beneath him. Rolling your hips in a frenzied pace, you take his fingers deeper and deeper until your orgasm pitches through you like gasoline being poured over an already blazing fire. Eddie works you through it, he always does, and once your hips come to a stop and the spasms have subsided, he slips his fingers out of you and brings them to your awaiting mouth.
“That’s my good girl,” he muses when you wrap your lips around his fingers, “see how good you taste?”
You hum in agreement, swirling your tongue around his digits. He groans at the sensation before pulling his fingers from your mouth abruptly and bringing that same hand down to smack your ass sharply. You jolt, pushing your body further into him and he wraps his arms around you and rolls, bringing you up to straddle his hips.
“Think you can give me one more?” He asks, shifting his hips for you to feel his hard cock against your thigh.
You waste no time in helping rid him of his clothes. Your fingers start at the hem of his shirt, pulling it up and over his head before latching your lips onto his collarbone and licking and sucking your way down to your prize. When you reach the denim of his jeans, you slide off the bed long enough to unfasten them and pull them and his boxers down in one fluid motion. You straddle his waist again, rolling your hips across his cock. His hands find your hips, squeezing and kneading the flesh tightly in his fingers and you bring the flannel back down off your shoulders. Turns out Eddie was right, it does get a bit too hot.
Grasping his cock in hand, you line him up at your entrance and sink down onto him slowly, enjoying the ache of him stretching you out. Eddie groans at the feeling of you already clenching around him, his hands bunching the fabric of his flannel around your waist to grip your hips tighter, to help you move against him.
Your hands fall flat on his chest for stability, his tattoos peaking out at you from in between your fingers. Fuck going slow and steady, you set a rapid pace, bouncing on his cock with what could only be described as pent up aggression, taking him fast and hard and deep.
“Fuck, yes,” you mewl, throwing your head back with an elongated moan.
“That’s it, baby,” he praises, smacking your ass again. “Ride my cock until you cum.”
His thumb presses against your clit, rubbing firm and tight circles, taking you higher and higher. You can feel your orgasm building inside of you, coursing through your veins like a tidal wave. You bite your lip with a whimper, one hand smacking against the wall in front of you to find purchase. Eddie has leaned up to capture a nipple in his mouth, tongue swirling around the hardened peak, and the onslaught of these added sensations has your orgasm crashing over you.
Crying out Eddie’s name as pleasure overtakes you, he wraps one arm around you and flips you until you're flat on your back. He hikes your leg up on his hip and fucks you hard through your high, chasing his own release. Your nails rake down his chest, leaving wild and red scratches in their wake, as you roll your hips against him meeting him thrust for thrust for thrust.
“Eddie, please, cum inside me,” you whine, “I want to feel it.”
“Fuck,” he grunts and with two more hard thrusts, he’s exploding inside of you, warming you up from the inside.
Eddie pulls out of you gently and pulls your panties back in place, keeping all of him inside you. He kisses you then, all tongue and teeth, pulling you close, so close, you could meld into one single being. He interlocks his fingers with yours, lips pressing gentle kisses along your knuckles as you brush his hair away from his eyes.
“That was - shit, you really went for it,” he says after a moment, a teasing gleam in his eyes.
“I did say I’ve been thinking about you all day,” you remind him, “although I wasn’t expecting you to get this hot and bothered over me in your clothes.”
“Fuck, sweetheart, you could be completely naked or covered from head to toe and I’ll always get hot and bothered over you,” he says, capturing your lips in another kiss. “But I’m pretty sure this flannel is yours now.”
“Good,” you whisper, pecking his lips again, “I wasn’t going to give it back anyway.”

𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲: You surprise Eddie with your baby's first trick-or-treat costume. Spoiler alert: she's adorable.

Tumblr media
“I’m waitiiiiiiiiing.” Eddie sang out from the couch, tugging at the neck of the cream colored turtleneck you’d guilted him into wearing. It wasn’t as bad as the sweater he had to wear with it. Truly the ugliest thing he had ever seen.
It was so ugly, it offended him and he was a little grumpy about it, which you teased was appropriate considering he was supposed to be dressed as Bert from Sesame Street.
  Yeah. Sesame Street.
  The (totally) gay puppets.
“You’ll have to get close.” Eddie had threatened when you pulled out eyeliner, not to line his eyes like you did before one of his shows or a date night, but to link his brows together in the most unrealistic looking unibrow ever.
Once upon a time, up until like two Halloweens ago, Eddie had used this day to be completely and thoroughly chaotic. Messy. Well, as messy as the social pariah could be on Halloween. So just really drunk, maybe high—sometimes both—making out with someone who wouldn’t acknowledge his existence the following day (and he was very grateful for you for breaking the curse on that last carefree Halloween). But that was the old Eddie Munson.
Gone was the Eddie Munson that either went all out–in leather, eyeliner and fake blood–or barely tried with some devil horns and a bad sense of humor for halloween to deal weed and drugs, smoke weed and drink til he threw up, or get fucked. Granted, he wasn’t going through this change alone.
Your opportunities to party on Halloween night with your friends–having all gotten ready together for the big, slutty night out–drinking ‘til you were stupid only to wake up on your bedroom floor (sometimes not even yours and on one year, the top of your neighbor’s car) with no real repercussions were no more.
Your days as primarily careless teenagers and now young adult were over, replaced with enjoying the night in a way you were both surprised to find that you didn’t hate, even as early twentysomethings.
Hell, the both of you were eager–even if Eddie had to wear a lame costume. He’d wanted to be Ernie, at least.
“Shut up!” You called back from the bedroom. Eddie snickered at the amusement hidden under your voice and shifted until he was lounging on his side, arm propped up with his hand.
  “Still waitiiiiiiiing!”
You’d been hiding a certain costume from him for the past three weeks, and the anticipation was killing him.
“You are the most impatient man I have ever met.”
“I just gotta have you, baby.” Came his immediate response and his grin widened when he realized he didn’t even have to think up replies for your quips, it just came natural now. He knew you that well. Still made him giddy and want to kick his feet in the air.
He loved being married to you. Sue him.
“Okay, here we come!” You announced and Eddie scrambled to sit up straight, eagerly leaning forward to get an early peak.
You walked down the short hall, dressed in a striped sweatshirt, jeans with the bottoms rolled into cuffs and a pair of red converse. Ernie. But Eddie already knew what your costume was, it was a couple’s costume and you were indeed a couple.
It was who you were glancing back at, just out of his line of sight, that held his curiosity.
  “C’mon, baby. Go show daddy!”
At your prompting, your baby–just a couple of months over a year old–came waddling out, footsteps awkward as she got used to the orange duck feet covering her own and the padding and stuffing of her yellow duck costume, clutching a bottle you’d given her to keep her from fussing while you got her dressed. Her curly little head and chunky cheeks were framed in the hood of the costume, with the duck’s  head resting on hers.
“Are you kidding me?” Eddie asked, mouth dropping open as his eyes darted from his cute little spawn in her adorable costume to your smug expression and back, “Are you joking? OH MY GOD!”
Eddie reached his arms out to Penny, fingers curling into his fists as he made grabby hands, “You are so precious, my little baby, come to daddy!”
Penny was delighted with his praise, drooly mouth dropping open and big brown eyes sparkling as she rushed forward. Her lack of coordinated motor skills paired with the duck feet and the padding of her duck bottom throwing her equilibrium off meant she immediately lost her balance and you and Eddie both inhaled sharply, quickly rising to attention as she wobbled forward briefly, then fell back on her cushioned tail feathers.
It was far from a dangerous fall, so you and Eddie stood frozen, waiting for her response so as to not sway her to have a certain response, having taken her to the doctor’s after a fall once only to learn she was perfectly fine and had only started crying because you had.
You both learned real quick to wait for her response after falling, sometimes she cried and had a boo boo that Daddy and Mommy could fix with some first aid and a kiss, and other times she'd run right into the wall, get up, and walk away (albeit while muttering in angry baby gibberish).
Penny blinked once, eyes flying from your face to her dad’s before she wiggled her bum against the floor, set her bottle down next to her and tried to stand up.
You both let out matching sighs of relief before Eddie darted forward to scoop her up.
“Are you rubber ducky?” Eddie asked once he had her situated in his arms. All she did was give him that big, beautiful smile of hers (no longer gummy with the teeth she had coming in but thinking about that made Eddie teary eyed) before her attention strayed to his long curls and her chunky little fist flew out to grab some of it, staring it down before she put it in her mouth.
“Say, yes, baby.” You encouraged her after picking up her bottle, hand tucking in one of her curls peaking out.
“Yesh.” She parroted, mouthing aggressively at the hair in her fist. While she was distracted, Eddie took the opportunity to press kisses into her cheek, smothering her in them until she grew annoyed and snapped her head in his direction, mouth wide in protest.
“Sor-ry!” He huffed, still grinning as he pressed another one into her soft cheek. She was all talk  and no bite. Mostly.
“What does the duck say, baby?” You asked, trying to prompt her. She could do some of the animal sounds and she’d gotten the duck right a few times.
  “Moooo.” And sometimes she moo’d.
“That is one interesting duck.” Eddie commented and you shushed him.
  “No, baby. Quack.”
  “Cack.”
Your heart dropped into your stomach. “Okay, that’s a little too close to–we’ll stick with moo.”
You grabbed her trick-or-treat bag, a disposable camera and a couple of other things you thought you might need to take her trick-or-treating for the first time, while Eddie continued to coddle her, only putting her down when you were all ready to go.
Penny was little miss independent until she caught sight of the steps outside of the trailer. Then she whimpered, dropped her bottle and turned to Eddie, shoving herself at his legs as she reached her little arms up to him.
  “Up! UP! Up!”
It was mean of him, really it was, because Penny was genuinely afraid of the steps but that also meant she demanded her daddy hold her in his arms, and that wasn’t really a loss for him so he hoped she’d hang onto that fear for a while before she got inventive and found another way to climb down them without him.
Eddie picked her up and she curled into his chest, chin on his shoulder as she clung to him with the duck head on her hood hitting the side of his face. He was trying to hide his smile but it was much too large to conceal and you glared at him with no malice, more amused with Eddie than anything.
“It’s okay, sweetpea. Daddy will protect you from those big, mean steps.”
He cackled as you shook your head with a smile.
“You are so messed up, capitalizing off of her fear.”
“Hey–it’s easy for you, she still demands and needs your boob. Did you see her refuse my kisses in there? I’m fighting for her affection here. And I’m gonna keep doing it, as soon as she gets over her fear of steps, I’m telling her a monster lives underneath them. Now, let's go get some candy I’ll also eat on her behalf.”
He bounded cheerfully out the door, Penny bouncing in his arms while you locked up behind him and called out in your laughter.
“And using your baby for candy–oh, you’ve got to choke tonight. I’ll save you, but you’ve got to choke.”
Eddie paused, waiting for you to catch up as his lips curled into smirk in a very Grinch like manner and you groaned, eyes squeezing shut as you realized what he was implying without having to verbalize it.
“I mean, I’d be happy to arrange that–”
Keep walking, Bert. We only have an hour and a half so we’d better get a move on if you want a decent amount of candy to steal from your own baby.”
“I’m not above taking candy from any baby.” He confirmed leaning down just as you leaned up to meet in a kiss, the both of you smiling into it. It was brief, ending when Penny accidentally pecked the both of you with the head of her costume.

You are typing away on your keyboard, lost in your own little world. It feels like the day is dragging and you would like for it to be over. At least that is what you were thinking until you noticed that the workplace background noise started to fade away. Gazing up from your computer screen, you see your office manager standing near the main door. He clears his throat and claps his hands three times to get everyone’s attention. What could he possibly want at this hour? Two of the other managers step through the door and you squint trying to figure out why the three of them are here. You don’t recall any email about a meeting.
“Okay everyone! Listen up, please?” The office manager looks around to make sure all eyes are on him before he continues. “As you know our Halloween party is tonight. I expect to see you all there, dressed appropriately!” The office manager stands with his back facing the main door with the HR and Marketing managers on either side of him. The three of them together strongly remind you of Ed, Edd, and Eddy, but you keep that thought to yourself.
“Everyone will receive a text message with the address, as well as an email. Please make sure to give the company name at the door and enjoy yourselves.”
“I am looking forward to seeing everyone’s costumes tonight. See you all later and until then enjoy your time off!”
The three managers all leave with smiles on their faces and you roll your eyes as you turn your attention back to your computer. Honestly, you forgot all about the Halloween party tonight. It’s not like you have much of a choice, it is mandatory fun. You still have a few more emails to finish up, as well as two more documents to review before you can even think of leaving for the day. A shadow looms over your desk and you sigh knowing that shape right away.
“Jungkook, I swear to God if you try a jump scare I will slam your face through this screen.”
A startled whine comes from behind followed by a deep sigh before Jungkook comes to stand in your line of sight by the side of your desk. His chocolate brown doe eyes are even wider than normal as he stares at you with a pout on his lips, making the clear spacers in his piercings more noticeable.
“You’re no fun. You know that, right?”
You suck your teeth and raise an eyebrow as Jungkook parks his ass on the edge of your desk. His black dress pants strain against his thighs and when you glance up, the white button down he is wearing, pulls at the muscles of his flexed biceps. As the resident werewolf in the office, Jungkook’s muscles are a common topic of conversation…and his impeccable sense of smell. Though Jungkook isn’t the only creature that works with you. There are vampires, goblins, fairies, wyrm, dragons and even mermaids in the office. It is a mixing pot of species which always offers some kind of entertainment for yourself.
“Can I help you, wolfie?”
Jungkook’s eyes flash a bright red before they shift back to their brown color making you smirk.
“One of these days I’m going to bite you,” Jungkook threatens as he curls his upper lip to show off his elongated canines.
“So I can be stuck with you for the rest of my life?” You grimace and shake your head. “No, thanks.”
“Like you don’t wanna be part of my pack.” Jungkook licks his lips and runs a hand through his dark hair, a few of the curls tangling around his fingers making his bicep flex once again from the sudden snag. His hair is styled out of his eyes, swooped upwards and back; not a single hair out of place…until now. One lone curl hangs from Jungkook’s head and kisses his temple. You resist the urge to tuck it behind his ear.
“Pretty sure it’s Taehyung’s pack and I would only join for Seokjin’s cooking and a good cuddle with Yoongi.”
Jungkook growls and you laugh knowing that you struck a nerve. You have met Jungkook’s pack mates many times and they are all a bunch of chill guys. They all work on different floors, in different departments. Yoongi is the pack alpha and from what you know, Seokjin, Namjoon and Taehyung are the only omegas in the pack. Taehyung, Yoongi, Namjoon and Jungkook are werewolves, Jimin and Hoseok are demons and sweet Seokjin is an oncilla hybrid. Which blew your mind when you found out because Seokjin is not a little guy by any means, the man is massive.
“Jungkook?”
A voice calls his name, cutting through your laughter and you smile at your coworker, Tisha. She is a cute little thing. Doesn’t have much height on her, maybe five-one or five-two at best with long black hair and doll-like green eyes.
“What’s up, Tisha?” Jungkook asks and you turn your attention back to your computer screen, happy for the distraction. You really would like to finish this before it’s time to leave. You would settle for a little overtime, but since tonight is the company wide Halloween party, overtime has been banned.
“My computer is acting up again. Can you take a look at it?”
“Have you emailed tech?”
You bite your lip to keep from laughing. Clearly Tisha hasn’t called tech or else she wouldn’t be asking for Jungkook’s help.
“I thought it would be faster with your help. I know they get busy around this time.”
Jungkook sighs and pushes himself off your desk, “See you at the party tonight?”
You glance at Jungkook and frown, “You sound way too excited.”
Jungkook grins and shrugs his shoulders, “Who doesn’t love a Halloween party?” Jungkook’s smile is blinding as he leans towards you, wiggling his eyebrows. “You gonna be the Little Red to my Big Bad Wolf?”
“Isn’t that a little cliche?” Tisha asks and Jungkook waves off her comment.
“I mean, I am a werewolf, so…”
Jungkook scrunches his nose and you roll your eyes as you mutter, “More like an overgrown lap dog-”
“I heard that,” Jungkook growls and you smile up at him, widening your eyes to seem more innocent. Jungkook glares at you with no real anger and huffs. “Such a fucking brat,” he grumbles and leaves your space with Tisha right behind him chatting his ear off.
You giggle to yourself and shake your head. Jungkook is something else, that’s for sure. He is your workplace bestie and the biggest pain in your ass all at the same time. Little does he know that your Halloween costume is already picked out. You think Jungkook will get a kick out of it and you might be a little excited to show him.

Standing in your bathroom with a towel wrapped tightly around your body, you wipe the steam from the mirror and sigh. You fell asleep when you got home and slept past your alarm, so now you have forty minutes to get ready if you don’t want to be hella late to the party. Music plays from your bluetooth speaker, filling the air with Jackson Wang’s ‘Cheetah’ and it makes you smile.
The first thing you get started on is your makeup, a nude smokey cat eye with grey accents is the first half of the look. Followed by painting the lower part of your nose a soft pink and upper lip black. Your lower lip is the same grey from your eyes to pull the whole look together. Removing the towel from around your head, you click your tongue. You quickly twist the hair into two braids that go straight back, secure the ends with bobby pins and pull a wig cap on.
A set of stencils are on your countertop and you hold one of them up to your forehead. The shape looks weird and you don’t have faith that you will be able to make it look right. Using black eyeshadow and a little eyeliner, you fill in the stencil slowly. A handful of black spots are now on your forehead, they look out of place and you frown.
Your phone goes off, cutting off the tunes and you glance over to see that Wooyoung, another work friend is calling. You answer the call and put him on speaker as you continue to get ready.
“Bitch! Where are you??”
“I’m getting ready. Where are you?”
“I just left the house, did you want me to pick you up?”
You think it over. You really would love to be able to drink and not have to worry about driving home.
“Can you drive slow?”
“The fuck kinda question-”
“I’m still getting ready, damn. Just text me when you’re out front.”
You hang up the phone and head into your bedroom. Walking over to your closet, you step inside and look at the grey wig you purchased just for this stupid party. Grabbing the wig and the styrofoam head that came with it, you carry everything to the bathroom and set it on the sink. Pulling out your styling products and a pair of hair scissors, you section the wig into parts while singing along to whatever song is playing. For your costume, you think a wolf cut would look cute and match the overall vibe…so, with the scissors in your hands, you get to work. The final product isn’t bad, a nice mix between a shag and mullet. It is roughly sexy and once you place it on your head, you can’t help but grin.
Grabbing a makeup brush, you spend some time on your eyebrows, making them look fluffy and slightly overgrown before you grab the unopened pack of fake canine teeth. Carefully, you glue them onto your own canines and smile at your reflection. It’s all coming together. The last thing you need are the hazel contacts that sit on the counter. You struggle with them, but after a solid five minutes, you have them both in. You look at yourself in the mirror and blow yourself a kiss, this was a wonderful idea!
Leaving the bathroom for the time being, you look at the outfit that is laid out on your bed. A grey bodysuit with black heels, a set of fluffy grey and beige triangle ears and a matching tail. Your phone chimes with a notification and you know that Wooyoung is outside waiting for you. Dropping your towel, you skip over to your dresser and pull open your underwear drawer.
Looking at the different colors and material, you settle on a baby pink lingerie set that still has the tags on it. It’s a mesh thong with small and medium sized flowers on the sides with an open underwire bra that has the same flowers covering your nipples in a diagonal line. Looking at the set you smile to yourself because you are sure you have a pink choker from your wild days that matches.
Putting the set on, you slip into the bodysuit and double check that the flower impressions of the lingerie aren’t visible before you search for the choker. Your phone chimes again and you roll your eyes.
“Yes, yes. I’m coming,” you grumble to yourself as you quickly fasten the pink leather choker around your neck. It even has a tiny silver hoop that hangs from which looks cute as opposed to badass. You clip the tail to your outfit, set the ears on top of your head and look at yourself in the mirror one last time.
“Damn, I look good!”
Grabbing your shoes, phone and purse, you head to the front door and text Wooyoung that you are coming outside now. You shove your feet into your black heels and hurry out of your apartment, more than a little excited to see Jungkook’s reaction to your costume. Taking the elevator, you hum to yourself and wait until you reach the first floor. You wonder what Wooyoung is dressed as. You know for a fact that the man is dressed up, he will never pass up a chance to show off his beauty.
Outside of your apartment complex you look around for Wooyoung’s car and spot it across the street. He spots you at the same time and climbs out of his car, whistling as he does so. Wooyoung is stunning in his white ruffled shirt. The loose sleeves cuff around his wrist, the collar is lined with lace, with a keyhole opening on his chest that he pairs with a black leather corset harness. His black dress pants hug him nicely and his freshly dyed black hair hangs just below his eyebrows.
“Ooooooooh! Look at this sexy lil kitten. Hello, beautiful!”
You roll your eyes and grin, stepping into Wooyoung’s arms as he hugs you tightly. Pulling away, you tuck a strand of your hair behind your ear and stare at Wooyoung’s hair.
“You look good. Black might just be your color.”
“Please,” Wooyoung pushes towards the other side of the car as he opens his door. “Any color is my color.”
Once in the car, you buckle up and fiddle with your phone, “Can I DJ?” Wooyoung gives you permission and you giggle to yourself. You have yet to listen to Mark Tuan’s new EP ‘Fallen’, so what a perfect time to do it now. Syncing with the radio, you hit play and ‘Your World’ starts to play.
“I don’t recognize the voice,” Wooyoung comments and you shake your head.
“Cause your taste in music is shit. This is Mark Tuan’s new EP.”
“I’m going to pretend you didn’t say that. Would be a real shame if your door just magically opened, huh?”
You laugh and Wooyoung sucks his teeth, coming to a stop at a red light. Looking out the window, you notice that the clouds above are a pale grey color that carries the promise of a light shower later on.
“Who do you think is going to out their office romance this year?” Wooyoung’s voice pulls you from your thoughts and you shrug your shoulders.
You remember from last year that your office manager and one of the newer interns wore matching Halloween costumes. They were the only workers dressed as Team Rocket from Pokemon. You haven’t really heard any dating rooms going around in your office but that doesn’t mean the rest of the office is innocent.
“I heard Jungkook was going to be the Big Bad Wolf…not much creativity there.”
“Oh, you think?”
“If I was a fucking werewolf, I would pick something else-”
“Like what?”
“I don’t know…maybe a dog catcher?”
You whip your head to the side to look at Wooyoung and he glances at you from the corner of his eye.
“What? That’s pretty fucking clever!”
“I-I can’t believe you just said that.”
There is a small beat of silence before you and Wooyoung both start to laugh.
“Jungkook would rip you a new one if he heard that,” you wheeze, thankful that you used waterproof makeup since your eyes are tearing up.
“I mean, come on. That would be fucking iconic!”
You shake your head in disbelief and Wooyoung giggles.
“So, I get that you’re a cat, but like, I have no idea what kind.”
“You really can’t tell what breed I am?”
“I just said that.” Wooyoung shots you an unimpressed look and you sigh.
“Damn, I thought it was obvious. I’m a pallas cat!”
“A what?”
“Oh come on, Woo! It’s my favorite animal of all time! It’s one of the tiny big cats.”
Wooyoung raises an eyebrow and shrugs his shoulders, “I’ll take your word for it, kitten.”

Based on the company-wide email, the club is called Dionysus and the music rattles the windows of Wooyoung’s car as he finds a parking space. Outside there is a slight chill in the air, the scent of fried foods and sweat riding the current that creeps from the open door that leads into the club. With Wooyoung by your side, you make your way to the front of the line. People glare at the two of you but Wooyoung grabs your hand and gives it a firm squeeze.
“Don’t worry about them. We have people inside waiting.”
At the front of the line, a woman with startling electric blue eyes raises an eyebrow as Wooyoung walks up to her. There are a pair of black rounded ears on top of her head and you know that she is some kind of hybrid, but you aren’t sure what breed. Maybe a rodent of some short, you think she could be an opossum. She is dressed all back, with the club’s name written in silver cursive across her chest.
“You don’t see the line?” Her voice is sharp and Wooyoung shakes his head.
“We’re not trying to be late, our boss is expecting us. Blue & Grey Enterprise.”
The woman nods her head and looks down at the clipboard in her hands, “Names?”
Wooyoung rattles off your names and she asks for ID before the two of you can enter the club. The club looks more like an opera house. It’s a large glass and iron building with beautiful ash-white archways, spicy grey pepper LVP flooring and an endless supply of natural light. Simple tracking light fixtures are placed through the club, spaced together in groups of two with elegant grey and white pendant lights hanging at tasteful intervals. There are two floors to the club and the moment you step through the doors, you feel like you have been transported to another world.
It feels like the scene of a high budget movie. All around you, people are dancing with drinks in their hands. The lighting is a mix of blue, purple and red with smoke snaking around on the floor. The walls seemingly reflect the lighting, creating a mirror like effect that shimmers and glows. The air is warm but you can feel that the air conditioning is on somewhere, most likely on the second floor since heat rises. Large floor to ceiling silk curtains hang from up high, sheer and light in soft shades of cream that drink in the colors of the lights.
“Come on, let’s find our group.”
Wooyoung moves to the far edge of the dance floor, closer to the wall as he pulls you along behind him. In the corner elevated above the crowd, a large DJ box is suspended with hanging black ivy, fairy lights and a floating staircase. The DJ wears an oversized head piece that resembles a Greek statue with a gold and emerald circlet on top. The place is impressive and you wonder why the company chose such an extravagant place. Many people are dressed in costumes as you walk past and from the amount of skin shown you know that none of the people on the lower level are from your company.
A set of steps leading to the upper level catch your eye and as you get closer, you notice that there is a guard dressed much like the woman from out front. The security guard stands with his arms crossed over his chest and he looks completely unphased by the strangers around him. Upon seeing you and Wooyoung, he narrows his eyes and Wooyoung shows his work ID. Following his lead, you do the same and the man nods his head before he unlatches the green and gold ivy rope that blocks off the upper floor.
“Enjoy yourselves tonight.”
Wooyoung releases your hand and motions for you to walk up before him. He blocks anyone’s eyes from staring at your butt and you giggle to yourself. Wooyoung is such a gentleman, you love him dearly.
If you thought the lower level was something out of a movie then the upper level is pulled straight from the dreams of an elite designer. Dark wooden furniture with plush white and black setting, vines of ivy clung to the walls, golden ring lights are pressed into the ceiling with more of the white pendant lights hung in small clusters. A single bar top that runs the entire length of the room, is pressed against the wall. The counter is too far away to see but you wouldn’t doubt if it was marble.
You spot a few familiar faces and point out the coworkers to Wooyoung. The two of you head over to say hello before you search for your friends.
“Oh my God, you made it!!!”
Arms wrapped around your waist tightly, squeezing the breath from your lungs and when you look down, a bright red hood is all you see.
“Your costume is so cute! Are you a hybrid?”
The body pulls away and those striking green eyes spark up at you. You take in the woman’s sultry makeup, the soft curls in her hair and the spillage of boob from the white ruffled blouse that has a black corset pushing everything upwards.
“Tisha! You look…wait, are you Little Red?”
You stare down at your coworker and you can feel the pride spilling off her as she grins and nods her head. Her curls bounce around her shoulders and you can’t help but laugh. Of course she would want to match with Jungkook.
“It suits you.” You look around and you don’t see Jungkook at all.
“Right! I just know Jungkook will love it!” Tisha smooths her hands over the red skirt of her dress and cocks an eyebrow. “So, what kind of hybrid are you?”
“A cat.”
“That’s so cute! You and Jungkookie always but heads, so it works too!”
“Huh?”
Tisha waves her hand around and shrugs her shoulders, “You know what I mean, right? Like the two of you are always bickering.” You hum in agreement and she pulls at your arm as another smile takes over her face. “Let’s get a drink!”
Together, you head over to the bar and sure enough, the bar top is white and black marble. To your left you notice a familiar face, “Taehyung?”
The man turns at the sound of his name and mismatched brown eyes find yours. A boxy smile pulls at a set of lips and you find yourself smiling as well. If Taehyung is here then you know Jungkook isn’t too far behind. Taehyung’s eyes drink you in from head to toe and he nods his head, “A cat hybrid? Cute.”
“You think so?” You twirl around for Taehyung and he chuckles at the sight of your tail.
“You really put some effort into it.”
“Do you like my costume?” Tisha jumps into your conversation with Taehyung and his eyes slide over to her.
He raises an eyebrow and clicks his tongue, “Little Red…how original.”
You bite the inside of your cheek to keep from laughing at Taehyung’s unimpressed tone but Tisha is clueless.
“I know Jungkook said he needed a Little Red to his Big Bad, so yeah. I thought it would work out.” Tisha gushes and Taehyung’s head tilts in confusion.
“Big Bad…like-like the wolf?”
“Yeah, duh! What else would he be?”
Taehyung looks down at his outfit and you take the time to figure out what he could be. His usual dark brown hair is dyed a soft honey brown and cut into a mullet. His warm brown eyes are underlined in thick black liner with a black smudged smokey look and there is a tinted balm on his lips. A double chained necklace hugs his throat a little looser than the choker that you wear and it’s paired with a white tank top that hangs loosely around his frame. A leather jacket with silver studded sleeves really pulls the whole look together with simple black leather pants and chunky black boots.
“Are you in a band?” You question and Taehyung grins.
“I’m the lead singer, pretty.”
“That doesn’t make any sense,” Tisha pouts and Taehyung takes a sip of his drink before he looks at Tisha.
“Oh really? And why is that?”
“Jungkook is the Big Bad Wolf. Why would you be a singer of a band?”
“I wonder?” Taehyung muses with a knowing look and you roll your eyes. “Can I get you a drink?” Taehyung offers and you laugh.
“It’s a company party, Tae. The drinks are free.”
Taehyung puts his hands up with a laugh, “Worth a shot.” Taehyung raises his hand to get one of the bar tender’s attention and when the young guy comes over, you order a whiskey sour while Tisha orders a tequila sunrise. The three of you chat for a while and Tisha looks bored.
“Where is Jungkook?” She asks for the umpteenth time and Taehyung ignores the question.
“Why don’t you go look for him, hmm? I’m sure he’s around here somewhere,” you offer seeing the way Taehyung’s jaw ticks.
Tisha scans the room and nods her head with a sigh, “Better than being here all night.”
When Tisha is out of sight Taehyung downs the rest of his drink and slams the glass down on the bar top.
“Thank fuck, she’s gone. Holy shit! How can she not take a hint? Damn!” Taehyung curses as he runs a hand through his hair. “Does she really think Jungkook likes her? I’ll kick his ass outta the pack, I swear to Luna!”
You laugh and slap Taehyung’s shoulder, “Shut up, you will not!” You shake your head and sip at your drink. “Besides, I’m sure that Jungkook is reaching his limit…assuming that this band you speak of, is with the whole pack?”
Taehyung ducks his head, trying to hide his smirk but you know him better by now.
“What’s everyone’s role?”
“I’m the singer, Hoseok is lead guitar, Namjoon is bass, Jungkook is drums, Yoongi is keyboard, Seokjin is rhythm guitar and Jimin is our manager.”
You giggle and try to imagine the pack as full fledged rock stars.
“Can Hoseok even play the guitar?”
Taehyung laughs as he shakes his head, “Nope, but he looks good holding one.”
“Who looks good?”
That all too familiar voice creeps up behind you and you feel an arm being thrown around your shoulders.
“Get off me, wolf boy!”
Warm musk, with a slightly fresh and clean scent engulfs you as you are pulled into a tight embrace.
“Oh, cat ears? Cute!”
You push at the chest that is in front of you and when you can see light again, you glare up at Jungkook as he smirks down at you. You notice right away that Jungkook has two silver hoops in his lower lip and you swallow thickly. Jungkook’s eyes seem to darken as he looks down at you and before you can say anything he boops your nose with his index finger.
“Are you a pallas cat?” He steps closer and you feel his hand slide down the length of your spine, stopping at the small of your back, where your tail is clipped. “You even have a cute little tail. Such a cute little kitten…”
“S-Shut up! What happened to the big bad wolf, huh?” You poke at his chest and Jungkook pretends to be wounded as he backs away and stands by Taehyung’s side.
At this distance you can take in his full costume, and honestly he looks good. His hair has been dyed black and style messily with wisps and spikes while a fringe hangs in his eyes. You assume that he is wearing clip-in to give himself a little more length in the back for his shorter mullet. Jungkook’s ears are completely adored in many silver hoops that are mismatched in size and style, along with a chunky chain necklace.
He’s wearing a white graphic t-shirt tucked into a pair of plaid pants that have different shades of blue and red; with fabric straps buckled around each of his thighs. A matching jacket is worn over top and large black boots with five thick buckles complete his outfit. Taehyung said that Jungkook was the supposed drummer and he definitely looks the part.
“What? I’m still pretty big-”
“Shut up!” You snap as heat attacks your face and Jungkook just smirks while Taehyung laughs.
“Have you seen Tisha yet?” Taehyung asks and Jungkook raises an eyebrow.
“No…should I have?”
“For fuck shakes….” You whine and Taehyung chuckles.
“You’ll find out sooner or later.”
Wooyoung emerges from the crowd and throws himself at the bar. Sweat is beading along his forehead and his hair is now sticking to his face as he pants to catch his breath. You look at your friend and pat his back soothingly while raising your hand to order him a glass of water.
“So many people…and it’s not even just our company. There is another one here too.”
“I thought I didn’t recognize a lot of people,” Jungkook sighs and Wooyoung licks his lips.
“I don’t know how many times I’ve been hit on but someone grabbed my ass and I was done.”
“That fucking sucks.”
Everyone stares at Jungkook and his face heats up as he holds up his hands and shakes his head. “Oh my God! N-No, that’s not like…shit! That’s not what I meant. I wasn’t trying to be funny.” Jungkook stammers seeing that Wooyoung is dressed like a vampire.
“You’re so fucking stupid,” You laugh and Jungkook pouts while Taehyung just sips his new drink.
A piano playing a well known beat catches your ears and you perk up.
“I love this song!” You rush off to the dance floor without looking back and Jungkook growls seeing the different set of eyes following after you.
“Down, boy,” Taehyung teases and Wooyoung chokes on his water. “You can go if you want but Jimin and Hoseok are out there. The three of them together will be safe.”
Wooyoung nods in agreement and clears his throat, “When are you gonna drop the invite into the pack?”
“It’s open-”
“Never.” Jungkook’s voice is flat as he glares at Taehyung and Taehyung just huffs with an eye roll. “A human can’t be in the pack. It isn’t safe.”
Tumblr media
Weaving in and out of people, Tisha searches for Jungkook. She has not found a single man dressed as the Big Bad Wolf and she is starting to wonder if maybe Jungkook hasn’t arrived to the party yet. She met Taehyung at the bar and while walking around she sees Jimin and Hoseok on the dance floor. Seokjin, Namjoon and Yoongi are sitting at one of the booths with drinks in front of them, just chatting it up, but no Jungkook.
Another thing that is bothering her is that the members of Jungkook’s pack are all dressed in a similar fashion. Eyeliner, smokey eyeshadows, leather and chains with black boots. She always thought that packs tended to do group costumes as part of their culture. It is in their blood to want to match or at least coordinate with each other.
Feeling thirsty, Tisha moves through the bodies around her and heads towards the bar. She spots Taehyung in the same spot that she left him but this time he is talking to another man. She cannot tell who it is from the back, but she knows that it isn’t Jungkook. Sighing, Tisha stands in front of the bar and ignores Taehyung and the other man as she orders a double shot of tequila with a long island iced tea as a chaser.
“You okay, Tisha? You’re looking a little down.”
Tisha’s eyes slide to the side and she sees Wooyoung looking at her with concern in his brown eyes.
“I can’t find Jungkook anywhere!” Tisha whines and Taehyung sips his drink. This has nothing to do with him. “His whole pack is here but he is-”
Tisha spots movement in her peripheral coming towards Taehyung and then there is a brief pause. She turns her head and sure enough Jungkook is standing a few feet away looking at the phone in his hand. A smile starts to tug at Tisha’s lips as she takes a step towards Jungkook but she stops and looks at him. He isn’t dressed as the big bad wolf at all. If anything he’s dressed as some wannabe rockstar from the 80’s.
“Hey…Jungkook?” Tisha calls out to him and Jungkook looks up from his phone. His eyes widen when he sees that Tisha is wearing a Little Red Riding Hood costume. “I-I thought you were gonna be a wolf?”
“Oh, um…yeah. I was just joking around.”
Tisha bites her bottom lip and tilts her head to the side, “You look good. This is a different look. It’s very…different.”
“Thanks! I’m the drummer in the pack,” Jungkook winks and Tisha giggles.
“Yeah? Are you good at banging things?”
Jungkook opens his mouth and quickly closes it before he rubs the back of his neck and Tisha’s eyes widen.
“Um, so-sorry, that came out wrong.”
Taehyung and Wooyoung share a look and before Taehyung can take pity on his pack mate, Jimin and Hoseok bust through the crowd of people with you right behind them. Jimin’s face is flushed and his eyes are ink black. Taehyung jumps to his feet and Jungkook is pulling you out of Hoseok’s grasp, pushing you behind himself.
“What happened?” Taehyung demands as he pulls Jimin into his arms. Jimin’s body melts, legs go weak and Taehyung helps him over to the bar. He sits Jimin in his chair and smooths the black hair from Jimin’s face.
Hoseok runs a hand through his own shaggy brown hair that is also cut into a mullet as well. “Some asshole siren tried to corner her-” Hoseok points in your direction, “into leaving with him.”
“What?” Jungkook whips around to face you and grabs your arms, turning you every which way to make sure you are unharmed. “Are you okay? Did he touch you?”
“I’m fine, Jungkook.” You cup Jungkook’s face in between your hands, seeing that his eyes are now ruby red. “I promise. Jimin defended my honor.”
“I should have ripped that asshole’s head off!” Jimin hisses and Hoseok rubs his back as he nods his head in agreement.
“Why didn’t you?” Jungkook snaps and Hoseok clears his throat.
“We’re at a work event, Kook. Wouldn’t be a good look for our very human bosses to see us covered in blood.”
Jungkook grumbles under his breath and nuzzles into the palm of your hand. You smile and coo at him, scratching right behind his ear.
“Who’s a good boy?”
“Fuck off,” Jungkook laughs as he pushes you away from him and you notice Tisha standing at the bar for the first time.
“I need a drink,” Jimin mutters and Taehyung waves over the bartender.
“Anything you in the mood for?” Taehyung questions and Jimin shakes his head. “Shots for everyone?”
“Yes!”
“Bring it!”
Taehyung orders two rounds of shots and you all gather around Jimin. Holding a glass in your hand you stand beside Jungkook and grin as you all clink your glasses together. Downing your shot you curse as it spills out of your mouth a little and dribbles down your chin.
“Did you fucking miss your mouth?” Jungkook laughs and wipes at the corner of your mouth with his thumb. “Such a messy kitten, huh?”
“Shut up!” You pout and your whole body shivers as the liquid makes its way through your body and warms your chest.
Jungkook brings his thumb to his mouth and sucks the extra liquor from his finger making your eyes widen, and before you can comment, Tisha speaks up.
“Are you two dating?” She asks, looking between you and Jungkook with narrowed eyes.
“What?”
“Excuse me?”
You and Jungkook take a step away from each other while shaking your heads.
“Wolfie isn’t my type.” You lie through your teeth. Jungkook is every bit your type, but he doesn’t date humans.
“Yeah, not really feeling the whole easily killed bit,” Jungkook points out and Tisha’s whole face lights up.
“Jungkook?” Tisha calls his name and sets her glass on the bar top. “Can I talk to you for a moment please?”
Jungkook looks at Taehyung for help but he is ordering another round while Hoseok is making sure Jimin is okay. Wooyoung is watching it all unfold and you are ignoring Jungkook now since Tisha’s question. Jungkook sighs and steps to the side, making room for Tisha to walk past.
“Lead the way,” Jungkook relents and follows Tisha in silence.
“You think she’s gonna drop the bomb?” Wooyoung wonders as he knocks back a shot and your face scrunches up.
Tisha and Jungkook…yeah that won’t go over well with the pack. The pack is a family and it is hard to leave, so when a member starts to court someone, the pack has a huge say in the matter. None of Jungkook’s packmates like Tisha and Jungkook has voiced his grievances about Tisha to you many times. Overall you think Tisha is okay, but she is a bit spoiled and wants things her way. You glance up at the glass ceiling of the club and the clouds above are a little darker but you can still see some of the stars in the sky.
“I think Jungkook is fucking clueless about her feelings and might break her heart,” Taehyung voices and you suck your teeth. You hope he doesn’t make her cry, that would be embarrassing for everyone.
Tumblr media
Outside on a balcony tucked behind large white and gold curtains, Tisha stands with Jungkook hidden in the dark of the night. The air is cool enough for goosebumps to appear on Tisha’s arms and Jungkook frowns.
“We should get back inside quickly. You could get sick out here.”
Tisha smiles at Jungkook’s thoughtfulness and grabs the end of her cape before she hugs an arm around her body, underneath her breasts; surrounding herself in a little bit of warmth. Her free hand plays with a strand of hair and she looks up at the sky. Inhaling deeply before she lets it out, Tisha thinks of how she can start the conversation.
“It’s beautiful out tonight, right?” Her eyes fall to Jungkook and she watches in silence as Jungkook glances up at the stars, nodding his head in agreement. “I’ve always loved the night time, it’s so much more peaceful.”
Jungkook bites the inside of his lip, nibbling on the back of his lip ring as he listens to Tisha talk. He really doesn’t understand what she is trying to say but he’ll let her ramble if it makes her feel better.
“Jungkook can I…” Tisha sighs and tucks the strand of hair in her hand behind her ear. “Can I ask you a personal question?”
Jungkook’s brows raise and he stares at Tisha unsure if he wants to hear the question.
“Um, yeah…I guess.”
“Your pack. A-Are you together?”
“Huh?”
“Like romantically, are you together?”
Jungkook’s mouth drops open and his eyes widen, “What? Nooooo! No, no, no-” He laughs and shakes his head, “Luna, no! They are more like my brothers than anything.”
“Really? You guys seem close.”
Jungkook tugs at his earlobe and fiddles with one of the earrings. “I mean that’s what a pack is. They know me better than anyone in the whole world. They look out for me and make sure I’m okay. And I do the same for them. It’s hard to explain to a human, but think of wolves as-” Jungkook hums as he thinks of the right term to use, “Soulmates. That’s pack. We all found each other in this crazy fucking world and we make each other better, as brothers.”
“And if you want to date outside of the pack?”
“Date? Yeah, that’s an option too. Just because we live together doesn’t mean that we can’t date or have a normal love life. Our partners become part of the pack and that’s really it.”
Tisha nods her head at the information and Jungkook rubs the back of his neck, not sure what else to say.
“Jungkook?”
“That’s me!” Jungkook tries to joke and Tisha smiles.
“I um, I-I really like you and I want to…well-” Tisha sighs and shakes her head before she steadies her nerves. “Would you like to go out with me?”
Jungkook stares at Tisha unblinking. He looks down at his shoes, over to the plant in the corner and back to Tisha’s shoes before he looks up into her face. She is staring with wide eyes, her mouth pressed into a weary smile as she waits for an answer.
Jungkook’s mouth opens and closes a few times before he clears his throat and huffs out a dry laugh. “That’s um, well you see-”
“You can pick the time and place. I don’t care where it is as long as I’m with you.” Tisha quickly interrupts and Jungkook licks his lips, fighting to figure out how to break her heart nicely.
“Yeah, that’s not the issue, Tisha.”
“Do you want me to pick the place?” Tisha’s eyes seem to sparkle in the low lighting of the stars and artificial candle flames that sit in old iron lanterns.
“You’re not understanding me.” Jungkook sighs and licks his lips before he kicks at the ground with the toe of his boot. “I’m not going to date you…ever.”
“Wh-What? B-But, why? You’re single and I’m single.”
“Yeah, but I’m not attracted to you. I never was and I’m sorry if I ever gave you that impression but-”
“Is it someone at work? Do you like someone else?”
“What?”
Jungkook’s eyes double in size and Tisha laughs something hollow and cold. In the green of her iris, small wisps of smoke start to swirl around in her eyes as the wind around them picks up.
“Who is it, Jungkook? Who can’t let you go? You belong with me!” Tisha shouts above the wind as it starts to moan and groan. Leaves and debris from the street are whisked into the air and thrown about. “Who?!” Tisha demands and Jungkook shakes his head.
“What are you doing, Tisha? Stop it! You’re going to hurt someone!” Jungkook takes a step forward and Tisha shoves her arm out. A strong gust of wind knocks Jungkook back onto his ass and his eyes glow red as he glares at the woman before him.
“If you won’t tell me who it is then everyone shall suffer!”
“What?!”
Jungkook watches in horror as the clouds above darken into a deep grey, almost black and circle over the club. A sudden bolt of lightning strikes the building and the whole place is plunged into darkness before the clouds start to thicken and drop down into a cyclone with the club being in the eye of the storm.
“I can’t date you, Tisha!” Jungkook yells as he forces himself to half shift, his nails elongating enough to dig into the concrete beneath him. “You’re human. Witch or not, it wouldn’t work!”
“That’s a lie!” Tisha shouts and another bolt of lightning strikes the building, this time a deep emerald green color. Green smoke falls from the cycling and there are sudden screams from inside. Jungkook’s eyes dart towards the doors and his heart pounds in his chest, he can feel his pack mate’s fear through their bond. Suddenly everything inside goes quiet. The screams, the music, everything is deathly still and Jungkook’s eyes shift to red.
“What did you do?” Jungkook demands. He can’t feel his packmates anymore. Tisha grins and it’s wrong. Twisted and crazed as she licks her lips.
“This is your punishment, Jeon Jungkook! Suffer with everyone else!” Tisha hisses and crackles something wicked before she disappears in a green poof of smoke. The clouds lighten and thin out and shortly after like the play button on a remote had been pressed the lights in the club come back on.
“Jungkook?!”
“Kookie!?”
Namjoon and Seokjin’s voice call his name over the music, closer to the door. Jungkook glances at where Tisha stood, scared that she will harm his packmates even when he cannot smell her.
“Jungkook?!”
Arms wrap around Jungkook, the scent of pack, his pack floods his senses and his body slowly untenses from the unease that grips his heart. He is stuck staring at the spot where Tisha was standing and Namjoon waves his hand in front of his face.
“Jungkook, what the fuck happened? We felt your fear from inside…are-are you okay?” Seokjin looks over Jungkook’s body while Namjoon searches the balcony for anything unnatural.
There is a scent in the air, heartache, longing and such ire. Namjoon rubs his nose and sneezes, shaking his head as he walks back over to Seokjin who is helping Jungkook stand on his own two feet.
“What happened?” Seokjin asks once more and Jungkook shakes his head. He doesn’t believe it himself.
“Hyung…Tisha is a witch. I-I think she put a curse on me?”
“What?!” Namjoon and Seokjin both shout and stare at Jungkook in disbelief; he is just as shocked. Witches aren’t rare but they tend to work and live within their coven. To have a lone witch…Tisha must be very powerful.
“We need to contact Hyunwoo and-”
Someone screams from inside the club and the sound of glass shattering fills the air before growls, hisses and more screams pour out into the night air.
The three of them share a look and rush inside, scared for the rest of their packmates. Inside the club, a million different scents assault their noses. Strong scents of fear, confusion and bloodlust are hard to ignore.
“What the fuck is happening?” Seokjin gasps as he sees creatures being held down out all over the place.
The sharp scent of death catches Namjoon’s attention and he growls low in his chest, “Pack!”
Seokjin and Jungkook rush after him as Namjoon barrels through the bodies, pushing everyone out of his way. At the bar, Jimin, Taehyung, and Yoongi are acting as a living barricade around Hoseok who is holding your unconscious body as Wooyoung hisses, his eyes are black with red spider veins pulling at his pale skin, and there are razor sharp fangs dripping venom in his mouth.
Jungkook blinks a few times and rubs at his eyes. No, there’s no way. Wooyoung isn’t a vampire, he’s human like you…Jungkook looks past his packmates and his breath catches in his throat. The grey ears on top of your head twitch and flicker in his direction before Hoseok’s red eyes find him.
“What the fuck?!” Jungkook growls under his breath and Hoseok is just as confused.
“We need to get out of here, now!” Yoongi growls as he shoves Wooyoung back, sending the fledgling into the nearest table.
Wooyoung picks himself up and snarls, his teeth dripping venom and before he can attack, another vampire, much older and more powerful (Jungkook thinks his name is San) grabs him and uses his own power to put him under.
“Thank you.” Yoongi gives the vampire a firm nod and they all turn to your unconscious form in Hoseok’s arms.
“We leave now.” Taehyung leaves no room for debate and they all form a barrier around you and Hoseok.
“Oh my God! It’s BTS!!” Someone’s voice shouts over all the chaos and all at once, all eyes in the place are focused on Jungkook and his pack.
“Huh?” Hoseok looks around confused, he isn’t sure what is going on. BTS? Yeah, that’s what they decided to call their little band for the night. It’s short for Bangtan Sonyeondan, something Namjoon and Yoongi came up with on the fly.
“Jungkook, marry me!”
“Yoongi, marry me!”
All over everyone is screaming their names, shouting for their attention and are forcefully restrained by security guards. One guard comes up to them and others clear a path for the group to be led down the steps and onto the first floor.
The pack looks at Taehyung and he nods his head, his face void of any emotion. Hoseok tightens his hold around you and together, BTS walk through the cleared path and down the steps. The DJ from before is completely marble and stands frozen in time. Jungkook’s eyes widen as he follows the group and notices that they are being led to a stage that he didn’t notice in the midst of everyone dancing before.
As Taehyung steps onto the stage, the others follow suit. Hoseok silently hands you over to Jimin and pats his shoulder.
“Keep her safe…”
Jimin shifts you in his arms while the rest of the pack go up on stage and his nose wrinkles as lime zest and cane sugar tickle his senses. A faint milky undertone sits at the base of the scent and Jimin growls low. Omega.
On stage, Taehyung steps up to the mic and clears his throat.
“Uh…yeah. So, we’re BTS and I honestly have no fucking clue what is going on. But, whatever! We’re here and it would be a waste to pass up such a nice stage.”
Jimin snorts at Taehyung’s words. Something has happened and while he isn’t sure what, Jimin can smell the ever subtle trace of magic in the air. The pack all look at each other and take their positions, Jungkook sits behind a drum set, Hoseok and Seokjin grab guitars, Namjoon picks up a bass and Yoongi stands behind a keyboard.
Taehyung howls into the mic and Jungkook comes behind him on the drums. Namjoon’s fingers pluck at the strings of his bass while Seokjin starts the rhythm and soon the whole band is playing as Taehyung sings.
I can feel you, I can hear you, howling in my bones
There’s an evil lurking in the dark (there’s an evil lurkin’ in the dark)
Ever shifting, skin is ripping, as you take control
I can’t tell where you end and where I start (there’s an evil lurkin’ in the dark)
Namjoon and Jungkook act as the backing vocals, giving the song an added layer of dark mystery.
A ferocious diagnosis, under moonlit hands, will
The man become the monster or the monster become man?
Seokjin sings in a higher register than Taehyung and the crowd is eating it up.
I could be up all night, but I’m paralyzed when the creature comes alive
'Cause it’s fight or fright, in the full moonlight
You can run but you can’t hide
I could be honest, I could be human
I could become the silver bullet in your head
But no one can break my heart like I can
(Werewolf)
As Yoongi howls and the band continues to play, you start to stir in Jimin’s arms. Your eyes open, squinted and blinking rapidly as you try to adjust to the lighting. Jimin coos down at you, nuzzling his nose against yours with a pensive smile on his face.
“Hey, welcome back.”
You groan in response and Jimin carefully lowers you to the floor, keeping an arm around your waist as strength comes back to your legs. Everything is loud, so, very loud. The lighting is making you feel sick as well and the top of your head feels like it’s on fire. You reach up to scratch at your scalp and Jimin quickly grabs your hand.
“Wait…j-just wait a minute.”
“It itches! This headband needs to go.” You whine and Jimin nods his head in understanding.
“Right…the headband.”
Jimin lets go of your hand and you eye him weary as you reach up to snatch the headband from your head. You touch something soft and your whole body shivers, your stomach twisting into knots.
Bleed the neon from the bite marks, ever bittersweet
Smile for the camera but don’t flash your teeth (everybody loves a mystery)
Let the bodies hit the dance floor to this heartbreak beat
I feel like somebody’s watchin’ me (feels like everybody’s watchin’ me)
Seductively destructive, we are true romance
Does the man become the monster or the monster become man?
Your head snaps to the side and your eyes widen at the sight of Jungkook and his pack performing on stage. You remember Taehyung telling you that Hoseok could not play the guitar, but you can’t tell from how he is shredding away. Your eyes jump from member to member and they are each playing the instrument that Taehyung has told you about. You never knew that Jungkook could even play the drums.
“What is even going on?” You whisper, feeling like this has to be some kind of dream.
You look at Jimin to ask a question and gasp, flinching when you feel a sharp pain in your lower back. A hiss spills from your lips and Jimin eyes you critically. Your eyes start to water and you don’t understand why you are in pain. Jimin’s eyes soften in understanding and he moves you to stand in front of him.
“One moment, kitten.”
Jimin forces his nails to grow and pinches the fabric of your bodysuit between his fingers. Carefully he rips the fabric at the base of your spin and you shiver as his fingers wrap around something that wasn’t there before. You feel Jimin pull something out of your bodysuit and the pain is gone.
“Feel better, kitten?”
“Um…yeah. W-What did you do? What did you pull-” You jump at the feeling of Jimin’s hands on your…it’s not your butt but it’s pretty close. Turning your head to look over your shoulders, your hazel cat eyes double in size at the sight of a grey tail. “Is that-”
“You’ve got a tail to match your pretty ears…”
“I-I…what is happening to me?”
Jimin wraps his arms around your waist and holds you as you slowly start to fall apart. Your thoughts are running a mile a minute, you don’t understand what has happened. One minute you were joking with Wooyoung and the next everything was pitch black and you suddenly had the worst headache of your life. Wooyoung dropped to the floor unconscious and when you checked for a pulse there wasn’t one.
Your head still hurts and when you go to rub it once more, you feel soft fur as it tickles your fingertips. Ears…you have real animal ears on top of your head where your headband should be.
Jimin nuzzles his nose into your neck and you purr, your body feeling lax as you lean against his chest. Jimin hums deep in his chest and inhales a lungful of your new scent.
“Mmmmm. You’re a hybrid from the smell of it, kitten…and you smell wonderful.”
“A-A hybrid? But, how? This has to be a dream.”
“That we’re all in and aware of?” Jimin muses and you gulp. He has a point there. Maybe this is more like a nightmare. “Let’s just roll with it for now and we can figure out what the fuck is going on after. Right now no one is trying to kill, attack or fuck anyone, so I’ll take that small victory.”
“What are the guys going to do?”
“What do you think? We’re BTS, the world famous rock band!”
The name rings a small bell deep in your subconscious and slowly, song after song plays in your mind. BTS, Bangtan Sonyeondan. Yes, you remember now. BTS is a band that you work with…no. No, that can’t be right. It doesn’t make sense. Why would BTS work at your company? Your mind is starting to feel hazy, molasses slow as the memories of the pack start to shift into fleeting meetings and longing stares shared through a screen. What are you even doing here by their manager’s side?
The song changes and Namjoon howls. It makes your ears twitch and your eyes focus on the drummer, Jungkook as he starts to move around.
보름달 아래서

참아야 하는 거야 no

Taehyung growls the word “wolf” low into the mic and your tail wraps around your waist as Jungkook howls. On the second “wolf” the whole band howls along with the other werewolves in the club. Beside you, Jimin smirks and throws his arm over your shoulder.
“Shall we get a drink? The others will come up when they are done.”
“S-Sure…” You struggle to find your footing as Jimin grabs your hand and pulls you through the mass of bodies with two members of security tagging along. As you walk up the steps to the second floor, you feel the haze of your mind lifting. You shake your head trying to clear the lingering effects of whatever was going on downstairs and Jimin helps you sit at the bar. He keeps a hand on your lower back, just above your tail and tells you to sit forward on the stool, so that your tail isn’t squished. You take his advice and Jimin nods, proud of himself as he sits beside you.
“Water?” Jimin offers and you hum in agreement. Water sounds like the safest choice since you still have no idea what is going on.
“How long will this-” You motion to your ears and wiggle your tail behind you, “Last? I don’t know if I can take the amount of smells coming at me.”
Jimin coos with a frown and places a hand on your knee, “We’ll figure something out. As a demon, my nose is better attuned to curses and there is magic in the air. It’s faint but there.”
“A curse did this?!” You stare at Jimin in disbelief. “Who would even want to do this?”
“You’d be surprised.” Jimin laughs and runs a hand through his ink black hair. “It has been quite a while since I’ve seen a spell of this caliber. To affect everyone, both human and mystic alike…I hate to say it but I’m impressed.”
“Says the demon that just became the manager of a famous band,” You frown and Jimin chuckles.
“What can I say? I’m blessed!”
Tumblr media
Jungkook is panting by the time he walks off the stage with the rest of his pack. His hair is plastered to his forehead by sweat and the jacket he had on is now draped over one of his arms. He knows his graphic t-shirt is soaked, he can feel it stick to his chest, abs and back. It’s a gross feeling but the cheering from everyone in the club is worth it. As he heads up the steps that lead to the second floor, Jungkook feels his inner wolf pace around. The animal is uneasy and Jungkook cannot remember why.
Reaching the second floor, Jungkook easily spots Jimin and sees that he is talking to what looks to be a hybrid. Needing a bottle of water, Jungkook makes his way to the bar and the scent of freshly zested limes dusted in cane sugar smacks him in the face. The wolf inside purrs in content and presses at the forefront of his mind. Jungkook’s eyes shift to red and Jimin’s gaze meets his own. The demon grins, his teeth gleaming in the lighten as he licks his lips and says something to the hybrid before him.
The hybrid turns in their seat and piercing hazel cat eyes stare into Jungkook’s very soul. The ears on top of your head twitch and your tail quivers, your chest rumbles with a loud purr and Jungkook is standing in front of you in the blink of an eye.
“Kitten…wow.” Jungkook’s eyes glance up at your ears and heat creeps up the back of your neck and runs fire hot under your cheeks.
You duck your head to gather your thoughts, unable to think straight with Jungkook looking right at you but he isn’t having that. Lifting your chin with his index and middle finger, Jungkook growls in warning and narrows his eyes.
“Eyes on me-”
The faintest hint of sweetened milk invades Jungkook’s olfactory and he leans forward, grazing his nose along the pink leather of the choker around your throat. Your breath catches in your throat as Jungkook inhales deeply and you whine, your tail flicking around behind you.
Jimin slides off his bar stool and disappears into the bodies that are on the second floor. He knows when he isn’t needed.
A hot dampness, pressed against your neck, the choker in the way, guarding most of the skin as Jungkook samples your new scent gland. You shiver and Jungkook’s inner wolf howls.
“Omega.”
Jungkook’s nose presses against the choker and he inhales again, your scent creating a warmth deep in his stomach that makes all the blood rush to the knot in his pants.
“A-Alpha?”
The title is a high pitched whine, a mix between a purr and cry. Jungkook growls as your sent spikes, the cane sugar now much sweeter and it makes his mouth water.
“What do you want, Omega?” Jungkook flicks his tongue against your choker and nips at the leather with his teeth. You can feel the warmth of his breath as he breathes against the moist skin. Jungkook hums in question as you remain silent, your scent becoming sweeter and sweeter as the seconds pass. “Tell, Alpha, pretty kitten. Tell Alpha what you want.”
“K-Knot. Want A-Alpha’s knot!”
Jungkook’s wolf claws to the surface, determined to answer his sweet omega’s call as your body trembles in front of him. Jungkook grabs hold of your hand and tugs you towards the restrooms. Kicking the door open to the women, Jungkook shoves you inside and snarls at an older bird hybrid that is coming out of the men’s room. He slams the door shut and clicks the lock in place before unbuttoning and unzipping his pants.
Your senses are in overdrive, your body feels too hot and you feel a gush of liquid spill from between your legs. You whine at the feeling, not used to the heady scent coming off of Jungkook or the wetness between your legs.
“I know, ‘mega.” Jungkook huffs with a chuckle as he pulls his dick free from his black Calvin Klein boxer briefs. Keeping his back towards you, Jungkook bites his lip as his groin tingles and he starts to pee on the floor by the door, the liquid seeping under the crack of the door and spilling out into the hallway. Jungkook grumbles as his wolf yips in delight. Now, no one will try to come into the bathroom. He gave them a clear warning that this place is his and soon he will show everyone that the omega is his as well.
“Wolfie!”
Jungkook tucks himself back into his pants and spins on the heel of his boots. There you are looking like sin. Your chest is heaving, sweat is beaded on your forehead and your hazel cat eyes are blown wide. What a pretty sight, his pretty little kitten. Jungkook walks over to you, his boots landing heavily against the floor before he is standing in front of you. Jungkook’s large hand wraps around your throat and you whimper, widen your legs as he steps closer. You can feel the heat of his body through your clothing, you can feel the stiffness of his dick and it makes your mouth water.
“Messy kitten,” Jungkook coos and licks at the corner of your mouth. You didn’t even realize that you were drooling. You part your lips and turn your head slightly, as best you can with his grip on your throat. You greet his tongue with yours and Jungkook groans at the taste of you. He licks into your mouth, exploring every crevasse as he devores your moans, swallowing them down like a sweet treat. Fingers dig into your hip and you gasp as he pulls you flush against him, his thigh pressing right into your clothed clit.
Grinding his thigh against you, Jungkook relishes in the soft wet squishing sound your pussy makes as the fabric becomes soaked. The light grey fabric darkens in one spot and Jungkook groans as you nip at his pierced lip with your newly sharpened teeth.
“Easy, kitten.”
“K-Knot me Alpha! Want your knot!” You beg, your hips starting to jerk against his thick and corded thigh.
“Make it messy for me, kitten.” Jungkook mummers as he trails his lips up your jaw to the lobe of your ear. “Ruin these pants and I’ll knot your pretty pussy.” Jungkook takes your lobe between his teeth and tugs it lightly. “Can you do that?”
“Y-Yes! Yes, Alpha!”
You grab at Jungkook’s t-shirt, fisting the material in your hands as you start to grind down on his thigh harder. Jungkook looks down his nose at you, watching you get yourself off with little to nothing but the promise of his knot. The wolf inside is happily wagging its tail and howls. Your scent is maddening, Jungkook wishes he would have told you to ride his face and not his thigh. You start to pant more, soft moans and fevered ‘ah, ah, ahs’ fill the air as you reach closer and closer to your release.
Jungkook takes pity on you, he reaches between your bodies and presses his thumb right against your clit adding more pressure. Your back bows and you yowl in pleasure as your stomach tightens forcing more liquid to spill from you. Your walls tighten around nothing but that’s okay. The promise of Jungkook’s chock eases the ache and as you shiver from the afterglow of your release, Jungkook removes his thigh and rips your bodysuit right down the middle.
You yelp from sudden display of strength and Jungkook chuckles as your scent grows even sweeter. Grabbing your hips, Jungkook spins you around and pushes your outfit off your shoulders. It gathers at your hips and catches on your tail which makes Jungkook growl as he rips the suit once more. It falls to ribbons at your feet but you don’t care about that. What you care about are the set of red eyes drinking in the baby pink lingerie that does very little to hide your body in the bathroom mirror.
“Fuck…” Jungkook’s hand rakes up your sides and slides forward, cupping your breasts and squeezing them before he licks at the side of your neck. “Look at you, so fucking sexy. So fucking-” Jungkook tweaks your nipples between his fingers and chuckles as your tail swats at his side.
“Fucking perfect for me.” Jungkook pulls the bra down, letting your breasts spill out over the fabric before he slides a hand down the front of your body and teases the apex of your thighs.
“I can smell you from here kitten.” Jungkook slaps your thigh twice and you part your legs, giving him access to your dripping core. Cupping your sex, Jungkook pushes the thong to the side and teases two of his fingers between your lips. You shiver at the warmth and your eyes flutter closed. “Eyes on me!” Jungkook demands with a quick slap to your thigh.
Opening your eyes, you watch as Jungkook drags his hand from between your legs and lifts it up to eye level. You can see your arousal coating his fingers in a clear fluid that is sticky as he separates his fingers creating a thin spider-like web between them. You watch, mouth dropping open as Jungkook licks his index finger with the flat of his tongue before he sucks his middle finger into his mouth. His eyes never leave yours as he releases his fingers and trails them down the length of your body. It disappears behind you and you can feel Jungkook shifting around before the warmth of his bare thighs grazes your ass and tail.
You lean forward, back arched with your ass poking out, chest nearly spilling into the cool white porcelain of the sink. Biting his lip, Jungkook purrs in approval and grabs your ass in his hands. He squeezes the globes of flesh tightly, his eyes falling to the smooth-looking skin. He glances at your reflection in the mirror to make sure that you are still looking at him. He smirks and delivers a quick slap to your right cheek. You whine at the slight pain, but it makes your walls clench, more of your arousal seeping from between your legs. Jungkook giggles, fucking giggles as he soothes the sore spot with his hand and nibbles on his lip piercing.
“Gonna make sure you’re fucking always full, kitten. Can’t wait to cream this pussy and plug you with my fat knot.”
Before you can even beg, the heat from Jungkook’s cock shuts you up as the tip slides between your folds and kisses your entrance. One single push and Jungkook bottoms out, your walls stretching with a dull pain that makes you whimper in delight.
“Shhhiiiit!” Jungkook groans, his head falling forward as he starts to thrust his hips shallowly. The warmth of your pussy is addicting, the smooth endless glide of your slick is everything and more that Jungkook has ever imagined. Looking at the way your pussy stretches around his cock, Jungkook tightens a hand on your hip; his fingers digging into the flesh as he picks up speed.
Skin on skin, wet and loud. Squashling, squeezing, dripping, and warm, so fucking warm. Jungkook’s eyes zone in on the tail at the small of your back and licks his lips. Running a hand down your spine, he grabs the base of your tail and gives it an experimental tug. Your walls wrap around him in a vice, daring him to move as a full body orgasm is ripped out of you. Your toes curl, your eyes slam shut and you scream, your hazel eyes now a vibrant blue as your canines grow double in size.
“F-fuck!” Jungkook smacks his lips as he continues to fuck into your pussy. “That’s in ‘mega. Make it creamy, baby.” Jungkook’s voice is deeper, more of a hiss as the thin white translucent slick from your pussy circles the base of his dick, covering his half-formed knot.
Jungkook’s eyes shift to red and his words slowly fade away, giving room for more growls and snarls as his wolf takes over. Another wave of pleasure washes over your body. Your back arches and your tail wraps around Jungkook’s wrist as you plead for his knot, begging him to plug your needy hole.
Slamming into you, Jungkook feels the way your womb opens up to him, the way it craves his seed and that spurs him on. Gripping your hair, Jungkook pulls you upward and groans as your walls pulse around his dick. His teeth ache, feeling too big for his mouth, just the right size for the empty spot over your scent glade.
“Mine!” Jungkook growls as his knot starts to swell to the size of a softball. “Mine…mine!” The round base pushes against your entrance and your legs shake as your pussy is stretched even more to accommodate his size. Licking his lips, Jungkook howls as his knot pops into you with a loud squish and you scream as his teeth sink into the meat of your neck. Wetness sprays from around Jungkook’s knot, your walls squeeze, push and pull, trying to force him out and keep him in. It’s a painful mixture of pleasure that has you seeing stars, and when the hotness of Jungkook’s seed fills your womb, you shiver.
Your neck stings, burns something awful before a cooling numbness spreads and seeps deep into your veins.
Love.
Want.
Need.
Mine.
Mine.
Mine.
Blue eyes meet red ones in the mirror and your inner cat curls into a little ball of soft, soft warmth. Tears blur your vision as Jungkook releases your neck. His tongue is rougher as it licks at the open wound and he shushes you, rubbing his hands up and down your back before he gathers you in his arms as best he can with his knot still locking the two of you together.
“Shhh, kitten. It’s okay, I got ya. I’m here.” Jungkook tilts your head and licks your tears away, pressing his lips to your cheek and inhaling the scent of you and him. The wound on your neck has closed over, no longer bleeding but it isn’t fully healed. It’s an ugly shade that you know will take some time to go away but you will wear it with pride.
Tears spill over your eyes and Jungkook’s scent changes as he starts to panic. “I’m sorry, fuck! I’m sorry…I didn’t ask!”
You don’t care about that, not really. You have loved Jungkook for so long, and you pray that this isn’t some stick and twisted nightmare. Jungkook always says that he will never date a human because they are too fragile and he cannot always control his wolf. You understood that you had no place beside Jungkook other than as his friend… But now?
“W-What happens now?” You cry, gripping onto Jungkook’s forearm as he holds you up right. “I’m…I’m not a real hybrid-”
“Hey, hey! No, none of that kitten.” Jungkook presses a million kisses to your cheek and hugs you tightly.
“You won’t want me when I change back.”
“I will always want you…” Jungkook drops his forehead to your shoulder and kisses your new mating mark. “I love you.”
“W-what?”
Hot tears stream down your naked back and Jungkook sniffles.
“I love you. I-I don’t care if this is temporary.”
Your lower lip wobbles and you shake your head unable to understand. Jungkook loves you…but-
“Jimin and Hoseok will figure it out. They’re demons, this is their shit.”
“And if they can turn me back?” You ponder and Jungkook picks his head to look into your eyes through the mirror.
“It is your call, kitten. I will love you either way. The mating mark will not go away…we can figure it all out.”
Jungkook’s knot starts to deflate and he carefully pulls away from you before he spins you around and tugs you into his arms. His lips are soft as he kisses you breathless. Love, so much love is poured into the kiss and you melt into his body.
“I love you, Jungkook.” You whisper against his lips and Jungkook smiles, his nose scrunching up as he nuzzles against your mating mark.
A knock at the door makes both of you jump and Jungkook growls loudly.
“Are you done yet?” Yoongi’s voice comes from the other side of the door. “The Ward of Magic is here!” He informs you and your eyes widen. The Ward of Magic? They only come when a serious crime has been committed.
“Do you have my jacket?” Jungkook calls out and Yoongi rolls his eyes.
“Right here, Kookie.”
Jungkook steps away and pulls his shirt off over his head. He eyes your body and looks down at his shirt…Ripping the shirt a few times and making a couple of knots, Jungkook holds out what is now a cute and edgy skirt. You quickly put it on, pull your tail through a rip and keep your back towards the door while Jungkook grabs his jacket from Yoongi.
“For fucksake, Kook! Put your dick away!” The pack alpha scolds and Jungkook slams the door in his face. You giggle upon turning around and seeing that Jungkook’s ears are tinted in embarrassment.
Jungkook holds out his jacket and you slip your arms into it. Carefully, you remove your shoes and Jungkook snickers as you step out of your destroyed body suit. Shoving your feet back into your shoes, you head into the stall and quickly clean yourself up while Jungkook does the same.
“Ready?” Jungkook questions, his large boba eyes filled with fierce determination.
“Ready.”
Hand in hand, you and Jungkook exit the bathroom and Yoongi is waiting against the wall with a small smile on his lips.
“Welcome to the pack, kitten.” He giggles, seeing the mating mark on your neck, and Jungkook licks his lips. He knew that his whole pack would feel it the moment he bit you, but having the pack alpha’s approval makes a weight in his chest lift. Jungkook nudges you to head out first, so that he can speak with Yoongi alone. Yoongi raises an eyebrow and quickly scruffs Jungkook on the neck gently. “Guess you were blessed with a curse huh?”

Older! Eddie Munson x Neighbor! Reader (reader is an adult) she has a Halloween party, and Eddie didn't like that bc he couldn't sleep all night, so he goes to her house the next day and tells her that for the next time, if she please can be less loud with her parties (and I let you choose, like a bratty reader or not) but they end up having sex either as an apology to Eddie or because she's bratty (but reader has been dying to have an opportunity like this with Eddie bc she thinks he's cute) and maybe they end up having a relationship?
I love older! Eddie
I hope this is what you wanted and you enjoy it. Thank you for requesting <3

Tumblr media
Y/N had a thing for her hot older neighbor. She found herself staring at him ever since she saw him wearing a tank top with loose sweatpants as he worked on his motorcycle. He was drenched in sweat, his hair tied up, and grease on his hands.
Since then, she tried to get his attention. He lived alone, and she assumed single since no same girl shown up twice.
She put on her sluttiest swimsuit, marching out to lay in her front yard. She sipped on her cold water as he cleaned his motorcycle, his back to her. She watched as the sweat ran down his back, hitting the material of his shirt that was tucked in his back pocket. His music blasted from his radio. She relaxed on her back, trying to push her chest towards his direction. But she huffed when he never turned around.
She even pretended to need ingredients. Wearing a small tank and tiny shorts, he walked to his door. She knocked softly, her arms behind her back and a sweet smile on her face. She bit her lip when he opened the door, his hair a mess and his naked chest on display. He wore nothing but a pair of boxers. She couldn't hide the way she checked him out. She asked for sugar and eggs, but her mood dropped when he turned to go into his kitchen and she could see the nail marks down his skin. She snatched the ingredients, rolling her eyes as she marched back to her house.
She smashed a pipe under her sink, letting the water soak her floor as she tried to get her white shirt wet until her bra was seen through. She quickly raced to Eddie's, pounding on his door and asking for help. She thought her plan was successful when he was under her sink fixing her pipe. A smirk on her face as she took in his hard body. Before she could offer a thank you, he wiped his hands and said he had a date. She rolled her eyes again, snapping out a thank you and fun date as she slammed the door behind him.
But now, it was Halloween and she was ready to dress in her sluttiest costume and fuck anyone she wanted. Eddie couldn't get her hints, forget him.
The music was loud, and people screaming just to talk over it. She could see Eddie was calling her phone over and over but she didn't pick up. Another mind game sent his way when she fucked a random guy against her window. She was bent over, facing Eddie's room as the guy fucked her from behind. A smirk on her face when Eddie watched through the window. She swore she could see the anger coming out of his ears. The pissed-off look as he closed his curtains.
Attention? She thinks so
~~~
She woke up to Eddie pounding at her door, she grabbed a blanket to wrap it around herself. Half awake as she opened the door.
"Um yes?" She asked
"Since you ignored my calls, I have to come say this to your face." Eddie snapped, "Keep the parties down. I don't want to be that annoying neighbor, but I've had my share of parties and there's no reason to be that loud."
Y/N giggled as he talked. She could tell he wasn't pleased with her. But she kinda hopes it was because of the guy.
"What's so fucking funny?" He snapped, his eyes glaring at her as she shook her head.
"Nothing, just the classic old neighbor can't handle the young neighbor. I'll try to keep the party down to protect your hearing." She mocked, going to close the door but he slammed his hand against it.
"Was there something else?" She asked, her head turned. She enjoyed the way Eddie growled.
"Yeah, where's your respect? I know you are a young little brat, but I thought respect was still taught in schools. Keep the music down out of respect. Wear real fucking clothes around the neighborhood out of respect. And close your curtains when you have a sad excuse for a dick in you out of respect for yourself!" He barked at her, but she couldn't help but feel the wetness between her thighs.
"Mr. Kuff loves my clothes, and he always tells me so. Oh and Mr. Lase, and even Mrs. Liz. I think the only one who doesn't like it is you. And for last night, it didn't feel like a sad excuse for a dick when it made me cum." She snapped, slamming her door. A proud smile on her face. She finally had Eddie where she wanted him.
She smirked as he pounded on her door again, "Ye-" she couldn't finish her sentence, the second she opened the door, he grabbed her neck. He closed the door with his foot, slamming her against the wall.
"Oh, baby. You have no idea what a good dick feels like. Of course, those old men like looking at your slutty clothes. They sit there and think of you when they suck their wives. They are pathetic and the fact you like their little attention is just as pathetic. But it's not their attention you've been fighting for, is it?" He asked, turning his head to the side as he clicked his tongue. His tone was mocking, he knew his answer.
She didn't want to give him the satisfaction, even though she knew that he knew.
"Cat got your tongue? See, I'm not stupid. I know you walk around the neighborhood, praying I see your ass coming out of your shorts. That I see your tits in that tiny swimsuit. The jealousy in your eyes when I bring girls home. You want it to be you, huh? You just want to be bent over and fucked raw. So tired of the boys who don't know how to fuck you like the slut you are." Eddie squeezed her neck as he reached for the blanket. The blanket dropped to the floor, his eyes taking in her naked body.
"Eddie, please." She whined, her hands yanking at the end of his shirt.
"Please what?" He teased
"Touch me." She whimpered.
~~
"YES, FUCK" Y/N screamed. She bent over her kitchen counter, Eddie pounding into her from behind. She's been clawing at his thighs for hours.
"PLEASE LET ME CUM THIS TIME!" she begged, his fingers rubbing her clit.
"Oh but why? You've done so well the past four edges, why not one more?" He teased, pounding into her. His fingers left marks on her hips.
"See what a real dick feels like now, baby? Think any of those desperate house dads could fuck you like this?" Eddie growled into her ear, she moaned at his words. Feeling herself clench around him. She prayed and prayed he'd let her cum.
"No, they can't." She moaned, she didn't care about those losers. All she wanted was Eddie.
"Do you know how many girls I fucked thinking of you? Had my eye the second I moved in. Just loved your little games so much." He admitted, he pushed her hair to the side as he sucked on her neck. His fingers still rubbing her clit, his cock fucking into her, and his mouth on her neck had her cumming on his cock.
~~~
"Oh, Mr. Boyfriend!" Y/N chanted as he knocked on Eddie's door.
She smiled when Eddie opened the door, wrapping his arm around her and smashing his lips on hers.
She moaned against his mouth, tasting his tongue.
He pulled away with a smirk, following her outside.
"I told you I couldn't eat for another hour, I need to finish the bike." Eddie said, returning to his work on the motorcycle, holding his bucket of cleaner.
"Yeah but I'd love to sit and watch." She said, sitting on the grass.
And just like that, she was watching him clean his bike all over again. But this time he looked back to blow her a kiss

————
You check your watch for what seems like the millionth time, only for a few minutes to have passed since the last time you looked. Billy is late again, but at least now you know why.
You hadn’t been stupid enough to think he was having an affair, not when you know so much better than that. When you know he’d do anything for you.
The longer you sit here, the more unfocused your eyes get, and you start to think about everything you’ve realized over the past week. Part of you has known for longer. You just didn’t want to overanalyze this, not like you do everything else.
You hoped he’d come to you. But clearly he wants to keep this to himself.
He’d been doing well, too, up until you found the smear of blood inside the bathroom cabinet. He’d pranced around the room half-naked that night after his shower, so you knew he wasn’t the one who’d been injured.
Last week you decided to clean out the closet on your day off. You remembered a pair of shoes that you hadn’t seen in forever, and began looking through all the boxes buried in the corners, under piles of clothes discarded in a rush to get ready.
You’d pulled the lid off a surprisingly light box, only to find a mask. One you’d seen in costume stores, at Halloween parties. On the news.
And you just knew.
There hadn’t ever been an instance where he’d worn it. None of his simple Halloween costumes ever required a mask. He hadn’t ever worn it for you, even if you’d like that much more than you’re sure is normal.
What’s more concerning is that this realization–it didn’t scare you. You aren’t scared now, sitting in the living room, waiting for him to come home, knowing exactly what he’s been up to. He probably thinks you’re in bed by now, anticipating him joining you.
Instead, you sit curled in a chair, socked feet tucked up under you. Your body is tired, you can feel as much, but your mind won’t rest until you’ve taken care of this.
It’s then, when you’re starting to get sick of waiting, that you hear the sound of heavy footsteps, thick-soled boots bounding up the front stairs. Your spine straightens, eyes glued to the way the lock turns with a twist of his key, his shadow as it spills across the floor when he walks inside.
Billy isn’t surprised to see the living room glowing in a yellow light. You usually leave it on for him anyway. What he’s not expecting is to see you sitting in your chair, chin resting on your hand, as you watch him remove his jacket.
“What are you doing up so late, baby?”
You don’t move, just keep your eyes on him as he walks towards you. He’s wearing a black t-shirt, a very tight one, and it occurs to you that you haven’t seen his arms in a little while. They’re bigger. You’re sure of it.
“It’s only eleven forty-five,” you say.
He laughs, dropping gently to his knees in front of you, hands going to rest on your own. He presses a kiss to the top of your bare thigh.
“You’re usually in bed by now.”
He kisses your knee, lips warm against your skin except for where the cold metal of his new piercing touches you. It’s healed, but still strange to see him with it after all this time.
“Wanted to see you.”
Billy is in love with you. And that means he knows you like the back of his hand. So this, the way you’ve sat out here for him, that sad but almost frustrated look in your eye, it tells him everything he needs to know.
It tells him that you know.
You’re a very intelligent woman. You’re his smart girl, and he knew you’d figure it out sooner or later. He’d only kept it from you because he knew you’d worry. Knew you’d overthink it and make yourself crazy. He just wanted you to have some peace of mind. But clearly that hasn’t worked out so well.
“And ask you something,” you continue, reaching down to twist one of his curls around your finger.
There it is.
“Shoot.” Billy wraps his hands around the backs of your knees, fingertips still chilly from the cool night air. His grip is soft, but still possessive.
You rub your nose, look up at the ceiling and take a deep breath.
“When were you gonna let me in on your little secret?”
You can feel his breath on your bare legs when he exhales. He tilts his head and presses his cheek gently against your knee.
“Look at me,” he says, voice firm. You oblige.
“It feels kind of shitty that you kept it from me. That I only found out because I decided to be productive for once and do a little cleaning. We’re not supposed to keep secrets from each other, Billy. That’s what makes this work.”
When you’ve finished, he straightens his back and pushes off the floor. He’s looming over you now. It doesn’t intimidate you, even if it should. If other people might be scared of him.
That’s what he’s stuck on. You’re not scared. You’re not angry about what he’s doing. You’re concerned about fucking communication.
He leans down and sets his hands against the armrests of your chair. You have no choice but to look him in the eye.
“You’re my girl. It’s a crazy world out there.” He lifts one hand and runs his thumb underneath your eye before removing it again. “I gotta keep you safe.”
You drop your head back against the chair. “Jesus christ, Billy. This goes both ways. I want to take care of you just like you do for me. I don’t think it’s fair that you kept this to yourself when I could’ve helped you deal with it, I don’t know.”
He doesn’t scoff. He doesn’t even quirk a brow. He’s taking you seriously, just like always.
“What, you wanna clean me up or somethin’?”
You’re quiet. He rubs the tip of his nose against your cheek.
“You know the answer to that.”
Billy takes your chin in his hand. “I apologize for not telling you earlier. I didn’t want to worry you. It takes awhile to get back from Hawkins, that’s why I’ve been home so late. Work was just an excuse.”
“Hawkins?”
He kisses you, mouth slotting against your own. The way he sucks on your bottom lip leaves you feeling dazed, though you know that’s exactly why he does it. Just to see the look in your eye. He should’ve known you’d take this well.
“Yeah. ‘Lotta shit left behind back there. Best to do some community service while I can, don’t you think?”
There’s a bruise on his bicep, dark in the dim lighting of your living room.
“Yeah, Billy. I think so.”
————
The phone hooked to the wall in Jason’s office starts to ring. He rolls his eyes. Anyone important enough would know what time of day it is, and that means he’s busy.
Jason stands still at the altar, flipping through the last few pages of notes he made for his next service. He checks his watch, noting that he should start confessionals soon. His shoulders rise and fall, steady breaths filling his lungs.
The phone keeps ringing, and it’s starting to make him angry. He stops what he’s doing and stomps out in the hall, stepping just far enough inside the small room to answer the phone.
“What?”
The line is silent, but someone is on the other side, and he knows it.
“Hello? What do you want?”
He hears someone inhale. “Why don’t you lose the attitude, Carver? Still haven’t gotten that stick outta your ass?”
Jason puts the phone in his other hand.
“Excuse me? Who is this?”
“No need to worry about that, Pastor Carver. Now, would you like to play a game, Jason?”
The blonde rubs a hand over his forehead. What is he, five?
“No. I have a job to do. Grow up.” He hangs up the phone, slamming it back in its place before walking back out.
Jason is older now. Went to community college, pursued ministry. He always knew that’s where he would end up. It’s what he deserves. It gives him great power, preaching.
Not that a damn word that comes out of his mouth isn’t bullshit.
But this is what he is good at. He will not be teased. He is important, and he knows it.
He collects his notes from where he’d set them on the altar, picks up his personalized Bible, slips the cap back onto his pen.
The confessional booth is set up in the corner, against the wall with the biggest window. He thinks it’s the most beautiful spot in the church, what with the way the stain glass plays across the floor.
He enters the booth, thumb entwining in the chain around his neck. When Jason started his work, he’d taken part in confessionals much more often. Now that he’s so committed, he has to schedule a specific time period where people can come in.
And he knows they will. They always do. People praise Pastor Carver for being so wise, for guiding them in the right direction, into the right hands.
But he doesn’t take kindly to criticism. He knows what he’s doing. He was made for this. Now he can protect people like him from the people he went to high school with. Now he has real power.
There’s some light shuffling coming from the other side of the booth. Did someone come in? Maybe he didn’t hear them over that stupid phone call. He shouldn’t have answered.
“Hello? Is someone there?”
He’s met with silence. He listens, but there’s nothing. He knows he heard something. He’s still young, in perfect health. He doesn’t make mistakes like that.
“We can begin whenever you’re ready,” he says, wondering if maybe whoever is in the other booth might be shy. If maybe they’re a new member of the church congress.
Still he gets no response. He doesn’t like being ignored. What is with people today?
Jason presses the side of his face against the wood, trying to hear through the small gaps. They’re not wide enough to see through clearly, but he gets a glance at something moving. He knew it. He hears the shuffle again, temper rising.
“Listen, If you’re not gonna—”
He doesn’t finish the sentence. A knife, with a freshly sharpened blade, slices through that cheap wood, settling in his cheek. He can’t speak. The metal scrapes against his teeth. If he were to try, he’d certainly lose his tongue.
Blood fills his mouth, and his ears start to ring. He can’t breathe, can’t hear. When the knife is yanked back, pulled maliciously from his face, he’s so completely shocked that he falls, brain malfunctioning. Shutting down, surely.
Quick and easy was best for someone like Jason Carver. Such a big fuckin’ mouth. Never using it for any good, only to push his corrupt agenda on others—like he’s some god.
He should’ve played the damn game. Maybe Billy ought to forego the phone calls and get eight to it. Seems that being blunt is the only way to get through to these assholes.
Wiping his knife off against his robe, Billy steps out of the booth and walks around to Jason’s side. The man sits on the floor, slumped against the seat. His eyes are open, but he’s lost too much blood to be able to form a retort.
Billy leans down, grabbing at the chain around Jason’s neck. The blonde tries to grab for this mysterious figure's arm, tries to do anything, but it doesn’t matter.
The chain breaks easily, gold cross standing out against his gloved hand. He tucks it into his pocket. Such a waste of space, this guy. So fucking pretentious.
Billy has never been happier to take out the trash.
————
When Billy gets home, he’s pissed. Mainly because he’s dirty. Carver was a bleeder, got that shit everywhere. It’s on the hem of his robe, caked onto his shoe where he had to step up and get the necklace off.
But more so, he’s pissed that he has to be the one to do this. That people are so blind to the shit storm around them.
He kicks the back door shut behind him.
“Billy?” Your voice calls out to him.
“Headin’ to the bathroom, sweet thing.” He hears you hop off the bed and pad down the hall.
You’re such a fuckin’ sweetheart. He can’t believe it.
You walk into the bathroom the moment he throws the mask down on the toilet seat, blood staining the white material. You watch him put his shoes and the robe in the tub.
He spins around, a smile spreading across his face. “Hey, baby. How’s my girl?”
You meet him halfway for a kiss. “I’m okay. Are you?”
“Better now that I’m with you. Listen, can you do me a favor, sugar?”
You nod.
“In the back of the closet, you know where, there’s a little jewelry box. Can you bring it in here?”
“Of course.”
He winks at you, tying his curls up on the top of his head. “Be quick.”
When you return, he opens the box, and your heart drops at the sheer amount of jewelry inside. But the longer you look, the more you realize what this is.
He’s kept something from everyone. There are rings. Chains. Keyrings. Holy shit. There’s a pair of earrings that look like some Karen Wheeler used to wear. Something very expensive looking, like only a Harrington would have. There’s a lighter, too. With the last name Byers engraved on it.
You stop gawking when Billy tosses the cross necklace inside. He’s almost done. And when he is, you’ll both get out of here. He’s gonna give you such a good life. You just don’t know his plans yet.
“It’s so much safer without them here, you know that, baby?”
Billy looks you in the eye. You push a curl back behind his ear.
“I know. You do such a good job, Billy.”
————
Tommy Hagan has been a piece of shit since elementary school, and he’s destined to be one for the rest of his life.
He works at a car dealership, still in Hawkins, still drinking and pretending like he’s seventeen. He peaked in high school, and everyone knows it. Shit, he knows it, and that’s why he’s still clinging to this lifestyle, even when no one else has.
Fucking Steve Harrington even got his ass out of Hawkins, and that’s saying something. Tommy thought Steve would be there for the rest of his life, raising that stupid family he blabbed about, sending the kids to the same schools, but no.
Even Carol left. The woman he should have married. The chick he treated like shit after they graduated, all because he wasn’t ready to grow up–and she was.
He’s still not ready. Not as he sits in his living room, alone because his wife went to stay with her sister. He’s been drinking out of his ass lately, and the other night, he put his hands on her. Tommy isn’t even sure he cares, if he’s honest with himself.
He’s an insecure asshole. He was in high school, and Billy saw the way he treated you because you were quiet. Saw the way he spoke to Carol when they were alone, the way he’d corner other girls at football games or parties, even when Carol was looking for him.
It doesn’t matter who he married. Not really. Tommy Hagan was destined to become a deadbeat wife-beater, and he’d never have had the initiative to change that.
He finishes the beer he’s been nursing and pushes off the couch, heading for the kitchen to find another.
He tosses the bottle into the garbage can rather than the recycling, and it seems to hit hard enough that it shatters inside the trash bag. He shrugs it off. It’s not like he ever takes it out anyway.
Tommy pulls the refrigerator door open, metal handle cool under his fingertips. That was his last beer.
“Y’gotta be fuckin’ kidding me.”
He slams the door closed, the rattling of jars and bottles inside echoing throughout the quiet room. He presses his forehead against the wall, thinking. Shit, if he can’t drink, he might as well eat something.
There’s a TV dinner in the freezer. He pulls it out, shoving it in the microwave as quickly as possible.
Something else that hasn’t changed: how fucking impatient Tommy is. He can’t even handle waiting the two minutes required for his food.
He opens drawers, trying to find the silverware before realizing it’s all dirty. He can’t believe this shit.
He yanks open the dishwasher and pulls out the bottom rack. The microwave starts to beep though, and Tommy backs off for a moment to retrieve his dinner.
With how loud the beeping was, he didn’t hear anyone approach. Didn’t hear the floorboards creak. Didn’t realize that there was someone lurking behind him.
He removes the TV dinner and wipes his hands down his face. “Fuckin’ hell.”
He bends down once more, reaching for a knife so that he’ll be able to cut up his tiny steak.
He doesn’t expect to be shoved, not in the safety of his own home. And he’s certainly not quick enough or to be able to prevent it himself from stumbling, tripping, unable to catch himself. He yells out, but there’s no one else to hear it.
He grabs for the counter, but it’s much too slippery with that fucking vinyl countertop. He’s got no chance.
Tommy Hagan falls forward. When he realizes where he’s headed, what his body is falling over, he thinks for a moment that he should try and brace himself for the fall. But it’s no use. Nothing about his situation is providing him a way out.
His body collides with the silverware basket, into every knife and fork standing there. Like they were waiting for him.
It’s happened so fast that he can’t even scream. All that comes out is a strangled moan. He’s bleeding and he can feel it. He can hear the footsteps behind him, and he tries to reach for the floor, tries to push up and twist to see who’s done this to him. His hand slips in the mess, but he doesn’t have to do much when someone is pulling his hair, using it as leverage to yank him up. The knives below him scrape and drag, his skin tugging in unnatural ways.
Tommy coughs, blood filling his mouth. He can’t speak. He can’t do the one thing he’s good at: open that big mouth.
The masked figure looming over him grabs his other hand, causing him to press further into the silverware. He screams, but it comes out garbled as they tug off his wedding ring.
Tommy’s hair is released, and he sinks impossibly deeper, metal piercing everything.
“Such a shame, Hagan.” The figure speaks. Tommy doesn’t recognize the voice. He wishes he could yell, ask what they want, why they’re doing this–but he can’t.
“Never deserved that wife of yours. Never deserved anything you got. But this? Yeah, this is the surprise you needed.”
The last thing Tommy hears is his own front door slamming shut and locking. How did they get a key? He’ll never know. He’ll die here, and no one is coming for him.
————
When Billy slips into bed with you that night, he coaxes your head onto his chest, wanting to feel you. Wanting to know that you’re really there. He leans down to kiss you, finding your eyes glued to the closet door. You know it’s in there.
“What is it, baby?”
You blink, shaking your head. You sit up some, and slip your hand under the edge of his t-shirt, fingers running over the soft of his warm tummy.
“Is this fulfilling for you? Is it something you think you’ll do forever?”
Billy allows himself to think for a moment, and while he does, he gently pulls you closer, leaning up to get that kiss he wanted. When he pulls away, he has an answer for you.
“It’s not something I want to do forever, no. I know we moved to the city and out of Hawkins, but I go back there because it doesn’t feel right to leave those motherfuckers there, roaming around and making it worse. There are good people there, and they don’t deserve to live in a place that’s drowning in shit. So yeah, it’s fulfilling in that I know I can make it a better place. I can protect the people who once protected me.”
And that’s true. Joyce is still there. He talks to her on the phone a few times a week. Shit, the woman is practically his surrogate mother. Max is still there, in college with her friends. Sure, she’ll transfer soon, but still. He can’t leave it like that.
He would’ve taken care of Neil had he not done that himself. Stomped off one night, drunk, and never came home. He got in an accident. Billy was glad to skip that chore.
“I’m almost done, sweetheart, I promise. Just wanted to leave behind something better. I won’t do this much longer. Just wanna keep you safe. It’s so scary out there, baby. I only want the best for you.”
You rest your head on his shoulder, watching his chest rise and fall. This should freak you out, shouldn’t it? It should alarm you? It doesn’t. He’s so good at this. He’s a natural. Doesn’t leave a trace. You do feel safer, admittedly.
“I understand. I just want you to be careful.”
His nails scratch lightly at your neck. “Hey, you don’t have to worry about that. I’ve got this. Nothing’s gonna hurt you, baby. This hellhole is gonna be so much better when I’m done.”
“Yeah, Billy. It is. Then maybe we can get out of here for real.”
“Of course. Anything for my girl.”

✧.* requested by @itzajeanspears — Hi!!! Love your writing so much!! Not sure if you’re still doing requests lol, butttt I have a really specific one so if you’d be able to do this I’d like actually die omg. Okay so I’m a fashion student from LA and I was thinking, the reader is like basically siblings with billy and Graham, (her dad and their mom started dating when they were kids so they were practically raised together) but she’s closest with Eddie in particular. They’re best friends. They’ve basically been attached at the hip since they were kids. They’re both secretly harboring feelings for each other and everyone knows it but themselves. She’s been there for them since the band started, like Camilla, making them outfits for gigs and stuff. and Eddie even takes her to prom when her date ends up being a jerk to her. Butttt the reader ends up moving to LA to go to fashion school (maybe eventually she can be their costume designer for the aurora tour 🙏) and Eddie slowly stops talking to her god knows why. Fast forward- The band moves out to LA and they stay with her until they’re stable enough to be out on their own. The tension is super high between her and Eddie and EVERYONE notices. Super Angsty. Ends in fluff and love confessions 🫶 maybe angry billy lol. AGAIN THANK YOU!!! I know that was super complicated. YOUR WRITING AND EDITS ARE AMAZINGGGG !!

I have no idea how to start this, my head has been a mess since our last conversation. I'm sorry for the way I left, I should've been more polite involving all we've been through in the last couple of months. I confess that I don't understand why you thought I couldn't support you in this situation, I've seen you dreaming about this day since I was ten years old, where we chatted about school and unattainable plans for the future… Seeing you achieve everything you dreamed of is like being hit by a ray of sunshine, I am deeply proud of you.
I wish you all the best on this new journey in your life, you are great and your talent is not left behind! Know that you wouldn't be there if it weren't for all your extraordinary talent. There is something in everything you do that exudes originality and no one can take that away or dispute it from you.
I decided to respect your choice and not go to see you on the day of your departure, I confess that this is demanding a lot from me, but I do everything to see you well. I hope you have a great trip and a great life there too.
I don't want to lie to you, I really hope you write me back, I have a huge hope that you'll give me another chance and we can work things out... I'll understand if you don't want that, I just want you to keep in mind that I love you. Fly towards your dream, and when you miss home, maybe my words will warm your heart.
Yours, Eddie Roundtree.
The bassist seals the letter with trembling fingers, he knew you would leave tomorrow and he still had his doubts about what he was going to do.He wanted to come see you before the match, kiss you gently, hug you as if you were going to escape at any moment... But he couldn't, if that was your choice he would respect that.
He knocks on the Dunne house three times, his hands trembling as he waited impatiently with the letter in hand.
"Eddie? What are you doing here so early my dear?" Mrs Dunne's sweet voice asks, she was quiet, probably because she was the only one awake in the house.
"I— I came to give this to Y/N." He extends the paper to her, confused, the older girl takes the object.
"Do you want to come in?" She asks, opening the door for him.
"No no, thank you." He seemed nervous, afraid that you would show up at any moment. "I really just came to leave this"
The madness was crazy the morning you were going to leave, you waited in secret for Eddie, a hope that he would appear was growing in you even though you wanted to kill it. Everyone else had made a point of saying goodbye, even Warren had stopped by to leave you some chocolate for the flight, but nothing from your boyfriend.
That's what you were, right? After all, there was no ending, not formally in so many words... Anxiety made you fear that when he left that had been your final point.
You open your arms to hug your considerate mother, Mrs. Dunne had been very present to you since she came into your life and saying goodbye was harder than you thought.
"I'll miss you so much." Her choked voice says, and you hold her closer.
"Oh honey, I'll miss you too." She answers, still holding you. "Anytime you need us, you just have to call. You have a family here."
At this point you were already in tears, and you let the hug go to wipe them away.
"Look." She starts to say, opening her bag to hand you something. "Eddie asked me to give you this."
Your eyes widen, you take the letter in your hands and leave for your new life.
You open the drawer of the nightstand next to your bed and return the letter to the place it always rests still not being able to open it, a sigh leaves you as you relive the night you had just had. Now that you were in the same city everything was more vivid, it was like living your teenage years again and it was frustrating. Of course you missed your friends and your brothers, but feeling Eddie's look at the back of your head was a huge distraction that kept increasing many questions in the same.
Eddie let the air out of his lungs as his body collapsed onto the bed he had fought for hours with Warren for, He lights a cigarette while staring at the ceiling and gradually sees the smoke draw your face, He hated how all the feelings he had put so much effort into hiding returned like the tide flooding over him, it was frustrating how you could make his heart race in a way no drug could ever manege to.
He knew that maybe all he had to do was just get over it, and that's all he was trying to do since you left Pittsburgh and him. Eddie was never the kind to get attached to relationships easily, he was used to having one night stands or just casual dating, so when his heart was captured by your gaze and the funny feeling of falling in love... He didn't know what to do.
The cigarette had come to an end and sleep had not even threatened to arrive, Roundtree sits on the bed regretting it before even finishing what he planned to do. He might not have talked to you during the party, but he was a good listener, something he didn't know if it was a blessing or curse until then.
He puts his leather jacket over the blouse he had worn to the party he attended hours ago, also grabbing some cigarettes before going down the stairs of the new house towards the keys to Rojas' van. He considers going to the drummer's room to tell him that he had borrowed the vehicle, but settles for writing a note in letters large enough for him to notice while he looks for it.
He let in his breath once again, shaking his head as he starts the van and heads towards what haunts his mind.
...
The three rings on the door make you lazily get out of bed, your arms go to the blouse thrown on the table before answering.
"Eddie?" You say between shock and yawn, your hands fix your hair automatically.
He avoids your gaze, looking directly at the ground as if he is very anxious. You wait for an answer, but nothing comes out of his mouth, you take a step forward taking his hand and leading him inside.
"Is everything okay?" You ask, after you both sit at the table in your living room.
"I don't know." He lets it out, wondering if he should actually do what he had planned. "I wanted to talk to you about everything."
"In the middle of the night?" You let out a weak laugh, trying to lighten the mood.
"I couldn't sleep, sorry I woke you up." He looked embarrassed, but it was as if being there was more comfortable than anything he had been doing before knocking on the door.
"We can talk, no problem.”
"With us moving here I imagine we'll see each other more often than we have over the years." He looks you in the eyes, the red of the cigarette in them. "And I don't want there to be a fight between us, I don't want there to be things that aren't clear."
You let the air out, trying to look as if you were mature for this situation. "What do you mean by that?"
"Even with our history, is everything ok between us?" He wanted to tell you that the answer was no, that he hadn't forgotten you, but it stayed in his throat just like the growing knot.
"For me yes, but for you I'm not sure." You are honest, letting the frustration go with your words. "You were the one who ignored me the whole party, I felt seventeen again."
"You don't need to be sarcastic." He says rolling his eyes.
"Since when do you call the truth sarcasm?" He arches his eyebrows at your response, you click your tongue against the roof of your mouth. "What I meant is that I'm over it, I just don't know if you are."
"You know what..." He gets up, adjusting his jacket on himself. "I think we've cleared that up, let's just be polite to each other and that's it. I see you around."
"You're kidding right?" A mocking laugh is let out by you, disbelief shines through. "Is that what you consider resolution?”
"I'll see you around." He says, you get ready to close the door. "Let's just keep things between us, like before."
Your eyes roll back and you slam the door shut, anger and confusion rising in your chest. How can he just show up in the middle of the night to turn your life around like that? You only feel the tears when they fall on your arm, was it frustration? You preferred to believe so, but seeing him treat you with so much indifference was painful.
Still angry, you go to the nightstands and open the drawer to take the letter in hand. Your vision blurred with emotions growing, you tear it apart and as soon as the first cut is made the rest are just a trigger for the pieces on the floor. You cry, regretting it and at the same time wanting to disappear... It hadn't even been twenty four hours since he had returned to your life and everything was chaos.
You collect the pieces and place them inside the box you found, trying your best not to glue the pieces together to read something that could be your answer.
...
You had done a good job of trying to forget about Eddie Roundtree, you had gone out with a few people and avoided running into him as much as possible when you met the band. But that became impossible when his brother went to rehab and his niece was born.
You moved into their house to help with the baby, Camila had never been so vulnerable and you couldn't feel more angry at Billy than in those first few months. Of course, you knew he wasn't one hundred percent to blame, addiction wasn't easy and it made you very sad to know he was like this.
Your move wasn't complete, you slept there some nights and other nights you went back to your house or studio to create some pieces of clothing. It was hard to face Eddie every day, but you two made a point of avoiding each other as much as possible.
It was hard to remember why you didn't like Eddie much when he was being so kind every day by your side, you start to remember why you fell in love with him in the first place. He was kind, funny, he helped everyone, but he was still the one that left you. And that was certainly the impasse for you to sympathize with him once again.
Night fell on the horizon as you leaned over the counter, a cigarette between your lips as you thought about everything at the same time.
"I see you still like the sunset, sunshine." The nickname makes your spine shiver, you don't turn around, you just let him get closer to you. "It always reminds me of you."
The chill comes to your belly, you turn away in disbelief. "What are you doing?"
He rolls his eyes, “Trying to get along with you, is it that hard?"
You let out a sigh, avoiding his eyes. "You want us to be friends?"
"What's the harm on that?" he asks, resting himself.
You shrug, trying your best not to ask every single question that haunted you over the years.
"You made yourself pretty clear that day in my place." That's all you say.
"Why are you acting like I'm a bad guy?" He's confused, upset in his eyes.
"You can't just keep doing this to me, appearing in my life and just leaving me!" You let out your frustrations, he looks at you without understanding. His gaze fixed on your eyes was overwhelming.
"What do you mean?" His voice was trembling, he took a deep breath. "Look, I know I acted childish that night, I shouldn't have just popped at your place and said those things. But I mean what I'm doing right now, I made one mistake... You're really going to blame me for the rest of my life?"
"One mistake?" You tried your best to hold back your urge to cry. "Look Eddie, it's been a long time. I understand if you forgot everything we've been through, I don't want to..."
"You're acting like I didn't care for you. Like I don't care." His voice was calm, it left you disconcerted.
"How can you say that you care for me if you haven't even reached for me all these years?" You turn to face the sky, trying to keep calm.
"I was respecting you!" He avoided coming closer, even though he wanted to take your hand in his. "I told you that! I—...
He stops when he sees your confused eyes, concern takes over his.
"You didn't read the letter, did you?"
You swallow hard, he waits for your answer but you open your mouth and close it without saying anything.
"Did you receive it?" He asks, you nod your head. "I don't understand..."
"I never read it." You confess, looking at your feet.
"Why?" He felt exposed, hurt.
You don't answer, he seems devastated.
"Fuck." He says passing his hands through his hair. "I can't believe this."
He left, leaving you alone with the sunset.
You made a point of coming home that day, there was no way you wouldn't go back to read that letter, your heart was aching with all the emotions that came up this afternoon. You were overwhelmed and feeling guilty, but at the same time confused... You needed answers.
When you managed to put the pieces together it was difficult to tell what was there, but your body softened and your heart tightened. There was your answer.
...
Daisy Jones was responsible for the band's growth after Billy's relapse, 'Honeycomb' was a masterpiece and the whole world knew it when those chords sounded on the radio. You were happy and proud for all of them, it was great to see them all achieving a dream that you followed from the beginning.
You were really excited to go on tour with them, You had already made many different pieces and I'm really looking forward to seeing them using what you created for them from the beginning. Today was the day of the first show, if you weren't even going to be on stage, you were nervous, you couldn't imagine how they were.
You couldn't contain the tears of emotion when you saw them there, the fans screaming excitedly and a long-time dream coming true, it was an amazing feeling and you were so happy to be part of this somehow.
It wasn't easy to deal with the information about the last situation you had with Eddie, of course, Billy had returned and you had spent less time together but that whole scene never left your mind. You tried to expel the flashes as much as possible while pretending to listen to what Camila was saying.
"Swetie, are you paying attention to me?" She says between a laugh, the music from the celebration party made it hard to hear her.
"Aham." You lie, watching Eddie talk to Warren and another girl you didn't know a few steps away. Camila follows your gaze, and turns with an arched eyebrow.
"What's going on?" She asks, her voice softly.
"I feel like I'll never be able to leave what we had behind me." You felt the words leave your mouth with honesty for the first time in a while.
"Have you told him that?" She asks, looking between you and him.
"I'm pretty sure he hates me, so..." You let out a breath, trying to hold back your tears.
"Eddie could never hate you Y/N."
"How can you be so sure?" You take a sip of your beer, avoiding looking at the distant group.
"Oh honey, if you only knew how many times he told me how he felt... How many songs I heard—
"Songs?" You cut her off, holding her arm. "He wrote songs about me?"
"Many." She responds, stroking his hand with a motherly affection. "You should talk to him."
You gather all your strength to follow her advice, and little by little you get closer to them. Warren is the first to notice you, waving in a comical way for you to come closer, Eddie avoids your eyes, the girl greets you with a small smile.
"Hey guys, the show was amazing." They smile at your congratulations. "I'm really proud of you guys."
"Thank you sunshine." Eddie says, almost regretting using the nickname. "I'm sorry..."
"It's okay." You say under your breath. "Look, can we talk alone for a second?"
"Sure." He turns to Rojas and the curly-haired woman. "I'll be right back."
Automatically you take his hand and guide him to a more private place, it's a few seconds of silence before you know how to start. He doesn't rush you, he just waits for you to feel good to begin with what you had planned.
"I read your letter." That's all you can say, he swallows hard. "I'm sorry it took me so long..."
"It's okay, it doesn't matter anymore." He tries to say, but you cut him off.
"It does! It matters and you know it." Tears manage to fill your eyes. "We matter for each other, you matter to me... And I don't know about you, and I know it's probably too late but I can't forget you."
He takes a step closer to you, never taking his eyes off of you. "What are you saying?"
"I'm saying I love you." A choked laugh comes out of you, it was impossible to contain it all longer.
"Fuck." He holds your face in his hands, touching your foreheads together. "Please, don't mess with me." He jokes.
"I'm done building this wall between us." Her voice was honest, her eyes never stopped staring into his. "I just want to be with you."
He kisses you, a kiss you've missed for years, a connection of souls, an inexplicable feeling. His hands cupped your cheeks and caressed your skin, you pulled him close to feel him after so long. He would always be your point of comfort.
"I love you too." He whispers against your lips, your eyes closed. "I love you so fucking much."
"I know it took a while but I kind of want to stay with you." You joke, he lets out a laugh.
"We can tell our children that we've been dating all this time, they don't need to know about this hiatus" He says while caressing your hair.
"Children?" Rojas' voice made you jump in fright. "Damn, you guys are emotional, huh?"
...

Tricks and Treats and Everything In-between (Part 7)
Summary:You and Robin make your way to Steve's Halloween party where you make some new friends, and are joined by an unexpexted guest.
Word Count:2, 515 (a little longer than usual, but trust me it's worth it)
<- Previous Part Next Part ->
Masterlist Series Masterlist
“Stop fussing with it, you look hot, trust me.” Robin chastised as you began pulling at the fabric of your black velvet dress.  You had chosen to dress up as Morticia for Steve’s Halloween party, and whilst you had felt good in the dress at first, the body-hugging material suddenly felt all-too constricting against your skin as you made your way to Steve's place.
"That's easy for you to say, you're not wearing a skin-tight velvet prison." You whined, pulling at your dress once more.
Robin’s costume was quite the stark contrast to yours. She was wearing an oversized orange turtleneck sweater and a pleated red skirt that fanned out just above her knees, a pair of black rimmed glasses sat perched on her nose.
"I felt like it just made sense, y'know? I mean, there's no way that Velma wasn't a lesbian, right?" She laughs as she links her arm in yours, both of you making your way up to the grand steps of Steve’s house.
You knock your knuckles against the door, only for it to fling open with Steve standing there, smiling broadly. He’s wearing a dark brown bomber jacket that’s decorated with various patches thrown over a white t-shirt. A silver chain of dog-tags around his neck and a pair of black aviator sunglasses hang from the shirt’s collar. There’s a faint sound of some music and muffled laughter and chatter coming from behind him, the party already getting under-way.
“Good evening ladies! Welcome to my humble abode.” he says grandly with a smirk. “Come on in!”
“Yeah, yeah, alright, Maverick. Where’s the drinks?” Robin teases as she gently pushes Steve aside in search of alcohol.
You step your way through the hallway and take a second to marvel at the enormity of the house, with high ceilings, and ornately patterned wallpaper.
You turn your eyes to Steve, your eyebrows knitted together.
“I don’t mean to be rude when I say this, but I thought you lived in a small apartment downtown? How come you’ve got this whole house to yourself?” you ask, gesturing openly to the sprawling nature of the house you find yourself in.
“Parent’s house. Dad’s away on one of his usual business trips, mom doesn’t trust him not to let his hands wander, so I get this whole house to myself for a few days.”
“..and what better way to enjoy all this than with a massive party, right?” you lead.
“You got that right” he chuckles, nudging his elbow into your arm with a smirk. “Come on in.”
You follow Steve into the spacious living area where sure enough there are already a whole bunch of people mixing and mingling. You scan your eyes over to see where Robin is, shaking your head with a smile when you see that she’s already made her way over to Vickie, the red-head from the bar, who's coincidently dressed up as Daphne, in a purple mini-dress and pink tights.
You feel a bit out of place for a moment, until a girl with bouncy brown curls dressed up in a Wonder-Woman costume comes up to you to hand you a plastic red cup with some kind of drink in it. It’s Nancy Wheeler, you recognise her from your school years, you never really talked to her much, your circle of friends never seeming to intersect.
“It’s from the punch bowl, it’s just cranberry juice, lemonade and just a splash of vodka” she says listing off the ingredients.
You smile politely, thanking her as you take the cup from her hands and take a sip. The sweet, fruity concoction is just the thing you need to settle your nerves.
“I haven’t seen you since high-school” she smiles warmly. “Where have you been hiding?”
“Oh I moved away after high school, went to college in Chicago and lived there for about 10 years.” You omit the fact that your lying, cheating ex-boyfriend was the reason for your return to your hometown.
Nancy nods, with a smile, quickly moving on. “How about I introduce you to some people?”
You walk with her over to a group of younger looking kids, they couldn’t be much older than sixteen. All of them dressed in their own unique costumes. The group are standing around talking to two older boys, one with shaggy sandy-blonde hair, the other with very long dark hair, falling down around by his waist.
“..And that, my little spooky friends, is why pineapple is the best pizza topping” says the boy with the long hair. He’s dressed in casual clothing, the only effort he’d seemed to have made towards any kind of halloween costume was a fake knife on a headband and a few streaks of red paint drawn on his forehead.
A sea of groans and fake gags sound out from the rest of the group.
“Hey I’m just saying, don’t knock it, till you’ve tried it.” he says defensively holding his hands up.
"Everyone, this Y/N," You wave awkwardly, before Nancy continues to introduce the rest of the group. "That's my younger brother, Mike," She says pointing to a young boy who also seems to be unenthusiastic about dressing up for Halloween, with a vague attempt being made by a Batman t-shirt.
"This is my boyfriend, Jonathan," he offers his hand to you, and you accept it, with a shake.
"..And that's his friend, Argyle." Nancy continues.
"And then these are all Mike's friends from school." Nancy explains, gesturing to the remaining kids in the group, each one introducing themselves in turn.
"So, Steve told me you were out on a date with Eddie last week?" Nancy pipes up with a smile playing at her lips.
"News travels fast around here, huh?" You huff.
"Oh so you're the pretty girl that Eddie was so excited to go on a date with!" Dustin butts in.
"Dude!" Lucas gently elbows him in the ribs, narrowing his eyes at his friend's choice of words.
"What? He was! I've never seen him so goo-goo over anybody before!" Dustin defends.
"..And how do you know Eddie?" You ask the curly-haired boy.
"He's our DM." Jonathan's brother, Will speaks up.
"He’s the best DM there is out there!" Dustin cheers, speaking very highly of Eddie’s dungeon master skills.
Just as you begin to slip into easy and comfortable conversation with your new found group of friends your attention is diverted by a loud voice shouting over the noise of the other party-goers.
In strolls Eddie, a case of beer tucked under his arm and a certain level of swagger to his gait.
He's gone all out for his Halloween costume. His long dark curls flowing from underneath a skull and crossbones bandana tied around his head, and a dark leather waistcoat layered over a loose-fitting white shirt, the deep neckline of the shirt peeking open enough to reveal a slight glimpse of the demon tattoo on his chest. A dark smudge of black eyeliner runs across his lower lashline, making his already dark brown eyes look even more intense. The rogue pirate really was a good look on him.
“Here you go, Harrington, these are for you” he nods, dropping the case of beer in Steve’s arms, before making a beeline for you.
“Cara Mia, Mon Cher” Eddie says seductively, giving his best Gomez Addams impression, as he takes your hand in his, placing a kiss on the back of your hand. “You look beautiful.”
You preen under his affections before coughing slightly, alerting him to the presence of the rest of the group.  Eddie smiles before coming to stand next to you, wasting no time in slinging his arm around your shoulder to bring you close to him.
“So, Dustin was just telling me how you’re the best dungeon master that they’ve ever had.” You say to Eddie.
“Yeah, well, when I saw this bunch of lost and lonely little sheepies, who looked like they needed a helping hand, so that’s where I stepped up.”  he answers proudly. “These kids are gonna be the future of Hellfire.” he smiles, playfully ruffling his hand through Dustin’s hair.
You talk with everyone for a little while longer, learning how Steve was throwing this party as a last hurrah before some of the teenagers went off to college, and how Nancy was going off to California to live closer to Jonathan after getting a journalism internship at The San Francisco Chronicle.
Just as you’re talking, your attention is diverted by a change in the music. The sounds of The Cranberries’ ‘Dreams’ filtering through the stereo’s speakers.
“Eddie!!” you jump up excitedly, tugging on his shirt’s sleeve. “They’re playing my favourite song! Come dance with me! Please!” you plead, batting your eyelashes and giving him your best puppy-dog eyes.
“Oh, alright” he smiles as he rolls his eyes, allowing you to pull him towards the makeshift dance floor in the centre of the grand living room where there are already a few people dancing.
"That is a man in love if ever I saw it, my dudes" Argyle said to the group as you whisked Eddie off, the both of you smiling brightly at each other.
Tumblr media
You waste no time in dancing to the song, letting your hips sway and shoulders rock to the music. Eddie stands close to you, unsure of himself, his dancing skills were certainly not something that he was known for.
You notice his hesitancy, and are quick to take both his hands in yours and place them on the curve of your hips,
..I know I’ve felt like this before, but now I’m feeling it even more..
You let him take his time, stepping in time with him to the beat of the music. Your eyes look into his, admiring the way they sparkle in the glow of the colourful, decorative Halloween lights.
..And now I tell you openly, you have my heart so don’t hurt me..
This quiet moment between you just felt all so natural, like you were the only two people in the room, the only thing grounding you to reality is the touch of his hands on your hips. Holding you so gently as though he was frightened you were going to break.
..A totally amazing mind, so understanding and so kind. You’re everything to me..
Eddie’s confidence grows as you dance together. Everyone else fades into the background. It’s just you, him and the music.
..And oh, my dreams. It’s never quite as it seems, ‘cause you’re a dream to me..
The song finishes and you’re both standing so close, with his hands holding their place on your hips. There’s a beat of silence between you both as Eddie’s eyes quickly flick down to your lips. He leans down to you, almost as if he’s going to kiss you, before he pulls away shyly as if he wasn’t sure that you wanted him as much as he did you.
There’s a slight awkward tension in the air for a brief moment before you break the silence.
“Thanks for the dance, Eddie. I’m going to get a drink”
Eddie nods, giving you an affectionate hug, watching you make your way into the kitchen, desperately hoping that he hadn’t just ruined his chances with you.
You grab yourself a cup from the table and begin ladling a few scoops from the punch bowl into your cup.
The atmosphere in the kitchen suddenly feels eerily quiet. A chill rattles through as you feel a presence caging you against the granite worktops of kitchen island.
“Y’know, you are not an easy girl to track down, Y/n” A voice rasps out with a sinister chuckle.  A man in a dark t-shirt, jeans and a Friday The 13th hockey mask towers over you.
You watch as the man reveals his face to you. It’s Jacob. You’d left him, broken up with him, fleeing your apartment with tears in your eyes and it wasn’t enough for him.
“How did you find me?” you stutter out.
“There aren’t many places you can hide, Princess.” the pet-name sending an unpleasant shiver down your spine. “Hawkins is only a small town, you know that.” he taunts. “Started asking around. Tommy Hagan said he saw you in The Hideout a few days ago, gave him a few dollars and he gave you up right away. Said I could find you here, and look at that, he was right.” he says smugly, flashing you a smirking grin. “All it took was some dumb dollar-store Halloween costume and I slipped right in without anybody noticing.”
“What do you want from me, huh?” you fight. You were not about to let him intimidate you, not after how he treated you.
“Want from you? I don’t want anything from you, but you are coming back to Chicago with me. You’ve had your fun, hiding away from me with your little friends, but where are they now, huh?” he continues to taunt you, pressing you further into the kitchen’s granite worktops, his hand wrapping around your arm in a bruising grip.
“Hey, dickhead!” You hear a voice shout from behind Jacob. “What d’ya think you’re doing huh?” It’s Eddie. He lays his hand harshly on Jacob’s shoulder, putting himself between you and your ex-boyfriend.
“You get a kick out of making girls feel small and vulnerable, huh?” Eddie says, glaring at Jacob with an intense stare.
“Oh I see how it is, you like her, don’t you pal.” Jacob retorts, poking his finger into Eddie’s chest.
Eddie flicks Jacob’s hand away.
“Don’t touch me. And I ain’t your pal, dickhead.” Eddie gravels out, the tension between the two men rising.
“You know what, freak?” Jacob flashes his Cheshire cat-like grin once more. “You can keep her. She was a lousy lay anyway.” he sniggers.
That was it. Eddie had had enough. The tension between the two men had reached a boiling point. Eddie pulls his fist back before launching it forward straight into Jacob’s nose with a crack.
Jacob stumbles back with the force of the collision, clutching his hands to his bloody nose.
“If anyone’s the freak it’s you, asshole.” Eddie spits down at Jacob, shaking his fist loose after hitting him so hard.
With all the commotion going on Steve rushes into the kitchen in a panic.
“Steve, this unwanted guest needs throwing out if you ask me.” Eddie says, nodding his head down to where Jacob sat still clutching at his nose.
Steve flicks his eyes over to you, when you give him a reassuring nod of your head, your eyes glassy with unshed tears.
Steve grabs Jacob by the scruff of his shirt and yanks him up to his feet, before dragging him out of his house.
Eddie turns to you immediately, checking you over to see if you’re alright.
“He didn’t try anything, did he?” Eddie worries.
“Eddie I’m okay, I just want to go, if that’s alright?” you say shakily.
“Come here, my van’s out there, we can leave right now, don’t you worry.” Eddie reassures you.

Eddie Munson x fem!reader
Masterlist
Summary: After a Halloween party, you and Eddie find yourselves alone. ....Right?
Word count: ~1.5k
Warnings: Spookiness and suggestiveness! (Best combo) Making out. Scaring. Lord of the Rings references. Swearing.
A/n: I promise Rose Thorn Blues is on its way (I know). But I wanted to get something out for Halloween, and who better than our boy Munson? Thank you so much for reading!!
Tumblr media
“I’m just saying, babe, we would’ve killed as Frodo and Sam,” Eddie muttered along the back of your neck, his arms snaking across your body. His breath tickled your skin as you unlocked the door to your shared apartment.
Just barely in the entryway, he spun you around in his hold. Shaking your head, you let out a soft giggle against his cheek.
“We can save your Samwise Gamgee obsession for another night, Eddie. Everyone already loved your Aragorn.”
Eddie smiled in return, pressing an unhurried kiss to your jaw. “I think everyone loved you more. No one could take their eyes off my beautiful elven princess.”
“I think that was just you,” you pointed out, resting your hands on his chest.
“Oh. Right,” he said, gazing at you with those warm eyes. Your finger traced along his cheekbone, feeling the stubble he grew out for the costume. The cape he’d spent days making wrapped around you both.
Steve’s Halloween party had been amazing, as always. It wasn’t too wild this year, with the kids attending. The boys were all dressed as their D&D characters, and they loved the spooky-themed snacks you’d put together. Though with all the sugar, most of them ended up asleep on the couch before long.
And now that they were all dropped off, you and Eddie were able to come home together. Alone.
Your eyes trailed down to take in his costume once again. He really did make a handsome Aragorn, and the way his arms wrapped around the silky blue fabric of your dress told you he enjoyed your Arwen costume as well.
Eddie’s hand held you firm as his lips ghosted so close to you. He barely pressed his mouth to yours, the warmth of him rolling onto you. You opened your mouth to complain about his teasing, but he took that chance to kiss you properly, deeply. His lips moved against yours until your breath came short. It made your head swim in the best way — until he pulled away suddenly.
Before you could let out a frustrated noise, Eddie swore, saying, “I left my sword in the van. I can’t leave my baby.”
He began to walk back, slipping from your fingers. “So you’re just going to leave your other baby here?” you said, giving him your best pouting face.
Catching that look, Eddie’s mouth turned into a smirk. His hands cupped your jaw, surging forward. Your breath hitched into the kiss, a whine coming from the back of your throat.
“I’ll be right back. I promise,” he whispered against your lips. His hand landed on your ass before he escaped your grasp. In an instant, he was sprinting down the buildings hallways to the van.
The echo of a smile stayed on your face hearing his footsteps grow quieter. You just left the door closed but unlatched, ready for him to throw it open when he got back. In the meantime, you took your boots off and cleaned up here and there. The kitchen sat covered in soda can tabs that Eddie had broken when making his own chainmail armor.
After a minute, when the apartment didn't look like a tornado went through it, you made your way toward the bedroom. You smoothed out the wrinkles in your costume with a giddiness floating through your stomach.
As you walked, though, you heard a soft rumble beneath the sound of your slow steps and the fabric of your dress swishing. You didn’t think it was supposed to storm today, but when you craned your neck to look out the window, you couldn’t see any rain. Grasping the curtains, you closed them when the rumbling grew louder.
Going back to the front door in search of the noise, any smile you once had began to fade away. The door now stood slightly ajar. Light from the hallway spilled into your apartment.
“Eddie?” you called out, hoping he was already back with how fast he ran.
But the only response given was the door creaking open further — with no one on the other side. With every quickened breath, your heartbeat pounded harder in your throat.
“Eddie? This isn’t funny…” Your voice came out quieter and strained, punctuated by a hard swallow. Slowly, you inched closer.
Sweat coated your palms as you dared to peak your head out into the hallway, your eyes roaming every inch to find something. But when a bang echoed from down the hall, your body jolting with it, you turned on your heel.
Shaking your head back and forth, you whispered under your breath, “Nope, nope, nope. I’m not doing this.”
The rumbling grew louder once again, making your stomach twist painfully. Your nerves sparked beneath your skin as the sound of frantic scratching joined it. You walked faster, feeling the carpet press under your feet with each step.
But your body halted to a stop when you got to the bedroom, your gaze unable to tear away from the window. The curtains you had just pulled shut were wide open again. Your terrified face stared back at you in the dark reflection of the window. A wave of horrified nausea hit you.
The rumbling and scratching abruptly stopped.
You couldn't move. Fear ate at you in a way that paralyzed your muscles, even your thoughts. The only sound in that silent apartment was your staccato breathing rapidly filling and emptying your lungs.
Your body only reacted when the bedroom door to your right creaked ever so slightly. And from the corner of your eye, a dark figure moved from the shadows. A frantic scream instantly ripped from your throat, and before you could stumble away, strong hands gripped your arms.
You tried pulling away, ready to fight your way out, when an all too familiar reached your ears. As you cracked your eyes open, you were met with Eddie — sword, shit-eating grin and all.
Through breathless laughter, he said, “I can’t believe I got you so good! Oh, you shoulda seen your face.”
Twisting in his hold, you smacked his chest until he let go. “You absolute dick!” you shouted at him, your breathing slowing ever so slightly. “You’re so dead.”
You backed away from him, but he followed, trying to wrap you in a hug. “Babe, babe. Please, I didn’t know you’d get so scared! I’m sorry.”
It was hard to believe him, especially as laughter continued to bubble from him. But you let him hold you, if only to calm your heart slightly.
After a moment, Eddie let out a final giggle. “It was a little funny…”
“I’m going to kill you,” you whispered against him, still tense in his embrace.
“I know, I know. I deserve it.” He rubbed a hand up and down your back over and over. Eventually, he let it slowly inch toward your hip. “You know… I could always make it up to you. Somehow,” he offered, letting an innocent look fall over his face.
“Oh, I wonder what ever you could be thinking,” you answered, rolling your eyes at him. Part of you considered his offer and the way his warm palms held you, while the other part wanted to smack him with his own sword.
You let his lips trail from your shoulder, up your neck, along your jaw, and to your mouth. The feel of him pulled your mind from the terror he just put you through. He brought you flush against him, desperation in his movements.
But your body jumped violently as that that loud rumbling started again. The vibrations of it echoed through your chest straight to your heart. “Eddie!” you gritted out, “This isn’t funny anymore.”
He pulled back. “What? That wasn’t me.” His smile etched away, taking in your angry look. “How would I even make that noise?”
To prove his point, he tried to let out a growl — which sounded more like Chewbacca than the deep rumbling.
“I swear to god, you can stop trying to scare me. This is not making it up to me.”
Eddie locked eyes with you, voice turning genuine as he said, “Sweetheart, I’m serious. I thought that was the A/C unit or something…”
Your eyebrows sunk into a deep frown. “It’s October. Our A/C isn’t running, what–”
Your sentence was cut off by the accompanying scratching again — this time sounding more desperate, angrier. It felt like it came from all around yet somehow getting closer.
Eddie’s hands tightened against you, your breath hitching. Terror pulsed with your heartbeat, pooling in the pit of your stomach. The genuine fear evident on Eddie's face told you everything you needed to know.
“Wanna go back to Steve’s?” you whispered, afraid to talk too loud or even blink.
You could hear the swallow pass down Eddie's throat. “Yep,” he said, his voice tight. He grabbed your hand and pulled you out of the apartment as fast as you could keep up.
As the apartment door clicked shut behind you both, his arm pulling your body close while you walked, he muttered under his breath, “Not fucking today, Vecna.”

Incoming Munson Family Halloween Headcanon
Tumblr media
Eddie always loved Halloween and Wayne always took him around to all the neighborhoods from the first year he took him in.
Eddie always wanted to be something scary or spooky for Halloween and Wayne always did his best to help him with his costume.
Every September the plans were made for that coming Halloween. Every September there would be an Eddie-made drawing of the costume and preparations would begin.
Wayne would go with him every year and watch his boy enjoy the holiday, Eddie leaping out at the other children, hearing Eddie’s laughter at their squeals.
Wayne watched with a small smile on his face.
Wayne loves Motown and blues music. Yeah, he listens to country. But his real love was Sittin’ at the Dock of the Bay with Otis or letting Love Lift Him Higher with Jackie, or better yet: getting taken to church and taught the meaning of R-E-S-P-E-C-T by Aretha.
He has an entire box of 45s.
Every weekend he’d play his old 45s and fix the trailer or clean the place up or give his truck an oil change as Eddie helped.
It reminded Wayne of his youth and he loved every artist that was out there in whatever medium he could find them in: recordings, live performances, televised concerts, movies.
By fourteen, Eddie knew all the songs - every word - every melody.
By fourteen, there were artists he didn’t mind so much like Sam and Dave or Aretha but he would never admit it.
By fourteen, Eddie also had his own taste in music and it did NOT reflect his uncle’s. But he tolerated the old man’s music because he loved his uncle, but he wouldn’t be caught dead listening to it on his own or in front of his friends.
By fourteen, there was no drawing in September.
Wayne didn’t say anything.
But he noticed.
And it kind of hurt.
The morning of Eddie’s fourteenth Halloween, Eddie left the trailer early on his bike and wasn’t back until almost sundown.
Wayne thought he had gone off with his friends all day or maybe had a morning lawn mowing job, but Eddie had come home with bags from the goodwill and disappeared into his room.
Wayne watched all of this silently, while trying to distract himself with the Western on TV.
Eddie emerged dressed in a black suit, white shirt, and an undone black tie around his neck.
Wayne grew concerned that there was a funeral he was supposed to attend until Eddie held up another suit on a hanger and threw a fedora at him.
“The costume doesn’t work if there’s only one Blues Brother, Uncle Wayne. Now help me tie this tie, will ya? All the good candy’s gonna be gone if we don’t hurry.”

NOT PROOFREAD (I'm so tired)
Halloween was a very popular event in Hawkins. everyone gets to do something they enjoy, egg houses. eat candy and of course, go to Steve Harrington's party. a bunch of wasted horny teens would gather inside and fool around. Eddie has wished every single year since he was sixteen to be doing those things with you.
Little did he know, you wanted to do them with him as well, and you'd finally decided to do something about it. you put on a skimpy nurse outfit that barely covered your ass.
and when you walked in he knew he was done for. his pants tightening around his dick. he watched you chat it up with Steve and Nancy, instantly cringing when Steve flung an arm over your shoulder. he didn't deserve you, he wasn't that dumb.
the whole night he stared at you until the party was over actually, hours it was. when you finally saw him "why didn't you come to see me?" was the first thing you asked. "I was busy" he replied, you laughed and shook your head. "you were busy? standing here alone" Shit. you saw him standing alone staring at you?
"anyways...wanna get out of here?" Your voice sounded soft, he was sure you were drunk. "back to my trailer?" he felt your hand grab his, walking to the van.
the drive home, Eddie was only thinking about the fact you might be in a relationship with Steve. it made him want to cry. he pushed those feelings aside when you placed his hand on your thigh, the gesture was purely innocent but it made his mind wander.
now, Eddie's on his bed. Eddie smoked a joint while you sat on the floor trying to look for a lost earring from a few days ago. "yeah then Steve..." he drowned out your conversation about Steve.
you then realized he wasn't listening "what is your problem!" Eddie was mad, an unusual sight. you climbed on his bed "Eddie?" he still wouldn't look at you.
"Eddie!" you moved his face with your palms making him look at you. "you're being weird" glassy eyes looked into yours. "are you with Steve?" he decided to rip off the band-aid. "what of course not, his still head over heels for Nancy" you explained, smiling and shaking your head. relief swallowed him.
"Why?" you asked. "because I think I'm in love with you" your eyes widened, mouth agape. he gulped loudly, "oh" you breathed out. "I'm sorry I have no clue why I said that--" your lips eased onto yours, and after a minute you pulled away out of breath.
eyes staring into each other, he glances at your lips then leaned back in. kissing you again and easing you into his lap, this kiss heated and lustful. ranking your hands through his hair, a bruising grip on your hips.
moving onto the floor. you looked up at him, his eyes blown. lips were swollen, palm moving over the tent in his jeans. "fuck...I've had a boner since you walked into the house" his hands gripped your scalp. undoing his belt, then pulling down his pants. you kitten locked the base, all the way to the tip.
"Such a slut, on her knees for me" taking him into your mouth, fully taking him down your throat gratefully, his moans only encouraging you to take him further and faster. "shit im...gonna cum sweetheart"
"cum in my mouth" you muttered through breaths. "mhm, okay as you wish" and within a minute, his salty substance slid down your throat. you looked back at him, watching him look at you in love.
"I'm so glad you are not with Harrington" he laughed.

If there was one place you could say for certain that you hated, it was the mall.
Though, there was one place you could easily say you hated worse than the mall, and that was mall at Christmas time.
And yet, here you were, on Christmas Eve, not only at the mall, but working as Santa’s right-hand elf.
Despite the fact you didn’t care for the holiday season as a whole, you really looked forward to this gig every December.
The first year you played an elf at the Christmas Village in Starcourt Mall, you were saving for your own place and had picked it up as a second job. However, you ended up finding the work way more enjoyable than most other jobs you’d had. It was the perfect fit for you. You loved performing and entertaining people, especially kids. And what better way to entertain kids than by fully falling into the role of Santa’s merry little elf, fresh off the plane from the North Pole? People always mistook you for a theater kid since you had a flair for the dramatic and were always flamboyant. As it turns out, that’s exactly the right attitude you needed in order to successfully play a Christmas elf.
After you were out of your parents’ house, you enjoyed it enough that you keep coming back every year to don the ill-fitting elf outfit.
Really, that was the only downside. The elf costume was the same for all of Santa’s elves regardless of gender; a green sweater, red knee length puffy pants, gold and white striped leggings, green elf shoes and a green elf hat. The whole thing was bespoken with bells, tinsel, shiny things, and anything else you would expect to see adorning an elf’s clothing.
And it was one size fits all, which meant it fit absolutely no one that wore it.
Ah well. Pros and cons. At least it was warm.
Even though the line shut down precisely at 4pm as it always did on Christmas Eve, it was closer to 5 by the time you got through everyone already standing in it. It had been a super busy day with everyone that waited until the last minute to get their Santa photos done.
Really though, it had been a super busy week in general ever since word got out around town that the Good Santa was back at Starcourt Mall. The parents of Hawkins didn’t know why, but three years ago, after using the same guy in the role for a long time, the mall decided to hire someone else to play Santa. And this made exactly no one happy, neither parent nor elf.
Even in the Santa suit, jolly was not in this man’s vocabulary. In fact, you were pretty sure if anything jolly came within five feet of him, it would immediately wither and die. He was cranky and mean to everyone, customers and fellow employees alike. At least half of the children who saw Santa during those years left crying, and so did most of the elves every night when they went home.
But, this year, the old Santa Claus was back in town.
Now this was a man who truly embodied the role, waving and smiling at people while waiting between visits with the kids, calling out “Merry Christmas“ to them in a boisterous, jolly voice. He looked very much like Santa; his suit like nothing anyone in that small town had ever seen, blending old traditions and new together in a suit that could have been custom made for the man himself.
But, most importantly, everyone loved him. There was rarely a screaming baby photo with this Santa around, he just had a natural, soothing presence for even the most fearful child. You were pretty sure nothing could get within five feet of that man and not leave in a fantastic mood. Even looking at him made a person smile.
While you were also happy to have the old Santa back, it always made you giggle every time you heard someone talking about how amazing he was over every other Santa in Hawkins.
It made you giggle because the Santa everyone loved so much was none other than your uncle, Reefer Rick.
Like you, Uncle Rick had been working the Christmas gig for a long time now, even helping you get hired your first year there, and he thoroughly enjoyed it. The only time he ended up missing out on it was for the three years that he was in jail.
Unlike you though, every December he was genuinely filled with holiday cheer, not just faking it like you were.
No one would have guessed it by looking at the man under normal circumstances since he looked like someone who started his grumpy old man stage early, but Rick was quite possibly one of the nicest men in town. But, considering the population never bothered to get to know the man that half of them bought their drugs from, few people actually knew that.
The truly funny part of it was, Uncle Rick didn’t really try to hide the fact he was Santa. He didn’t disguise his voice, drove the same car, everything. But if anyone ever figured it out, they chose to ignore it. Between the padding he wore under the Santa costume that made him look moderately plump, a beard properly applied to his skin with spirit gum, a dash of makeup, and a cheerful demeanor that would rival the real Santa himself, it was easy for people to pretend they didn’t see what they didn’t want to see.
At the end of the day, so long as everyone was happy, and Uncle Rick was, then you guessed that was all that mattered.
You never bothered to change before leaving the mall since it always gave kids a giggle to see an elf walking around town. Neither did Rick for the same reasons. However, you did change into your normal shoes and put on your jacket before heading out the employee entrance to leave.
As you both walked across the parking lot together, Uncle Rick invited you to a Christmas party he was throwing that evening. Since neither of you spoke much to the rest of the family, your parents included, Rick had invited his chosen family and a few clients that had become close, genuine friends to spend the holiday eve with. But the weeks of holiday customer service work had finally taken their toll on you though, and you were mentally worn out. Uncle Rick more than understood, embraced you in a bear hug, then gave you an early Christmas present; One ounce of Lilac Diesel, your favorite strain.
That would pair very well with the evening of movie rentals and Chinese takeout you had planned.
Traffic was pretty heavy thanks to last minute shoppers, but you managed to reach the video store well before closing.
“Welcome to Family Vid- hey, Y/N!”
Since you preferred to spend most of your evenings at home, you tended to stop by the video store multiple times a week. This had led to a friendship with the evening clerks, Robin and Steve. You knew them fairly well by this point, and you stopped at the counter to talk with them for a while before you went wandering the aisles. It didn’t take you long to pick out what you wanted, choosing the same movies you watched every year around Christmas.
After Robin rang you out, you continued talking to them as you walked back to the door, pausing at the door to finish your conversation, your free hand resting on the handle.
Since you were looking over at your two friends rather than outside, you didn’t see a van pulling into the parking lot, nor did you see the curly haired man in a leather jacket hop out of it. He didn’t see you either as he walked up to the video store, busy double checking to make sure that he’d remembered to rewind the tapes before bringing them back
Right as the man was reaching for the door handle, you pushed the door open to leave.
BAM
Your head whirled around to the door at the sudden impact, eyes widening as you finally saw the man. He staggered backwards a step, a large red welt in the middle of his forehead from the collision with the door. His deep brown eyes crossed as he teetered sideways, then they rolled back into his head, and he hit the ground just a second later.
“Oh my god!” you exclaimed in alarm, quickly rushing outside.
Behind you, an alarmed Steve started to head around the counter to go help but was stopped when Robin grabbed his arm.
“Hang back a minute,” Robin told him when he looked at her quizzically. “I have a feeling about this one.”
Outside, you rushed over to the groaning figure sprawled out on the ground, who was now rubbing his forehead with one ring bespoke hand.
“I am so, so sorry!” you said, dropping your movies to the sidewalk next to the man as you bent down over him. “I didn’t see you there!”
Grabbing the man’s arm, you helped him sit up, then got around behind him so you could wrap your arms around his chest to pull him to his feet.
“You probably - owwww,” the man said, wincing as he straightened into a standing position, both of you sliding some on the slushy sidewalk. “You probably shouldn’t move someone that just had a bad blow to the head.”
Once he was steady, you let him go, then began dusting off the back of his denim vest and the sleeves of his jacket.
“Probably not,” you said, fluffing his hair to free any snow it picked up from the sidewalk. “But then you would’ve just gotten wet and cold.”
“That’s actually a-“ he started to say, his words suddenly cutting off as you stepped around him and he saw you for the first time. “…good point.”
As your gaze met his, you found your eyes widening as a tingle spread across the back of your neck and then quickly shot down the length of your spine.
ZING
At various points throughout your life, you had beard about the zing. Usually, it was from people who were often severely unreliable about such matters. Your mother told you all about it when you were little, but your parents did not have a relationship that any sane person would desire. Your friends all told you about it in high school, but the zings they felt never seemed to last.
From your understanding, the zing is what was supposed to happen when you met your true love, or your soul mate, depending on which wording you wanted to use. The whole concept just sounded highly suspect to you.
Until now.
Neither of you spoke as you stood there staring into each other’s eyes. You hadn’t noticed it, but your jaw had gone slack in a mirror image of his.
Inside the video store, both Steve and Robin had come over to the door and were watching you two through the glass.
The man was the first to snap out of whatever trance the two of you found yourselves in, and his mouth snapped shut.
“Uh,” he finally said, as he started rubbing the back of his head. “I must have a concussion. Now I’m seeing elves.”
A sudden fit of giggles escaped from your lips before you could clamp your mouth shut. You could feel your cheeks warming and hoped the man would assume it was from the chilly December air.
“Yes, but not a real one,” you said, smiling. “I work down at the mall in their Christmas Village.”
The look of confusion on the man’s face was replaced by one of understanding and he laughed.
“Now that makes way more sense,” he said, then returned your smile.
The tingling sensation ran down your spine from the back of your neck, the blush on your cheeks inexplicably coming back.
You both cleared your throats and quickly looked away from each other at the exact same moment, dropping your gaze down to the sidewalk. That was when you noticed three video tapes you didn’t recognize scattered among your own dropped selections. You bent down, picking up those up from the sidewalk.
When you stood upright, you met his wide-eyed gaze again as you offered him the tapes.
“I think these are yours,” you said, smiling at him.
“Uh, thanks,” he said, blinking a few times in surprise, then smiled. “You know, I think you had a few yourself, too.”
“Yeah, I-“ you started to say as you bent down to pick up your movies.
However, the man started to bend over at the same time you did, which resulted in the two of you clunking your foreheads together.
“Ow,” you both said in unison.
You started giggling again, not even bothering to stop yourself this time as you rubbed your forehead. The man blinked a few times and shook his head as if to clear it, then grinned sheepishly.
“Alright, you wait here, I’ll go down, okay?” he said.
“Okay,” you said through a new fit of giggles.
He winked at you, then bent over to gather up your movies. You watched him with a smile on your face and a warmth in your heart. There was definitely something charming about this guy.
Once he had your movies in hand, he stood upright to hand them to you. Now that you had yourself more under control, you met his gaze easily.
“Thank you,” you said, smiling at him warmly.
“No problem,” he said, returning your smile.
A few more seconds passed in silence as the two of you stared at each other again.
What on earth was happening right now?
“Well, um,” you said, suddenly having trouble speaking as you felt your heart beating in your throat. “I-I’m glad you’re okay. I’ll get out of your hair now. You have a Merry Christmas!”
“Hmm?” the man said, then blinked. “Oh! Yeah! You have a Merry Christmas too!”
You smiled at him one last time and then, despite a sudden pang you felt in your chest, turned away to head for your car.
Behind you, Eddie watched you walk away for a moment before looking down at the movies in his hand. He sighed softly and shoot his head before turning to finally go into Family Video.
However, right as he laid his hand on the handle to pull the door open, he heard the distinctive sound of the lock twisting into place.
He looked up with a confused expression, meeting the stares of Steve and Robin, both of whom had matching expressions of abject horror on their faces.
“Go after them, ya dingus!” Robin shouted.
“Don’t let them get away!” Steve shouted.
Eddie wheeled around and quickly looked for you.
Luckily, you hadn’t gotten very far. You were barely halfway to the only other vehicle in the parking lot aside from Steve’s and his.
A grin lit up Eddie’s face and he opened his mouth, preparing to call out to you, then he suddenly panicked when he realized he didn’t know your name.
“Hey, you!” he hollered instead, then grimaced at how that sounded.
You weren’t bothered by it though, just surprised. Turning back to him with curiosity, your heart began hammering in your chest as your eyes landed on him.
The man stared at you for a moment before speaking.
“Do you like Christmas parties?” he asked, then, unbeknownst to you, pointed off in the direction of Reefer Rick’s house. “If so, I know of one that’s going on right now, if you wanted to go.”
A warm feeling stirred in your chest at his words. But as, tempting as it was, you just didn’t have the spoons for a party.
“Not really,” you said with a soft smile, hoping he wouldn’t be too disappointed.
Instead of disappointed though, the man seemed relieved.
“Me neither,” he said, laughing softly. “I can’t say I’m really into the Christmas spirit this year.”
Now it was your turn to laugh.
“Yeah, me neither,” you said, smiling.
Then the two of you gazed quietly at each other again, as if neither of you wanted to look away. That same tingling from earlier crept across your neck again. Now you had a little voice in the back of your head screaming at you to talk to him.
“Do you know of Canton’s?” you asked, deciding not to doubt your gut.
“The Chinese place over off MacArthur?” he asked, and you nodded in confirmation. “Hell yeah! They have the best egg rolls in Hawkins!”
“They really do,” you agreed, then smiled. “I was going to get some takeout then go home, but I wouldn’t mind sitting down for a while if I had some company. If you’re not doing anything, would you like to join me?”
The man’s face lit up as bright as the giant Christmas tree downtown.
“I’d love to!” he exclaimed, a huge smile on his face.
Now your whole body was tingling, his words lighting you up from the inside out with excitement.
“Great!” you said, a big grin on your own face. “Want to meet me there when you’re done? I can head on over and get us a table.”
“Yeah, yeah!” the man said, nodding rapidly, which made his hair fly around his head. “That sounds good!”
“Great!” you said again, your smile even bigger now.
“Great!” the man repeated, grinning.
You turned back towards the parking lot, a bounce in your step as you made your way over and got in.
Behind you, the door of Family Video flew open, and Eddie was rushed by both Steve and Robin. Robin snatched the movies out of his hands and took them inside to check them in, while Steve began fixing Eddie’s hair and clothes, as if trying to make him more presentable.
When he was done, Steve took a step back and gave his friend a quick once over.
“Eh, good enough,” he said with a shrug.
Before Eddie could protest, Steve grabbed him by the arms and spun him around before giving him a sound shove towards the parking lot.
After you were buckled in and got your car started, you looked out your window just in time to see the man jogging back over to his van. You couldn’t help but giggle as you wondered what had come over you. This was definitely a new feeling, though one you weren’t complaining about.
It wasn’t until you were already halfway to the restaurant when you were hit with a realization.
You had no idea what his name was.

Steve takes one last look in the mirror and frowns at his store-bought cowboy costume. He looks positively lame, more like a spoilt child rather than a Wild West outlaw. But Robin insists he wears an actual costume because, "putting on sunglasses and saying you are a Tom Cruise character isn't a costume, Steve".
Eddie says as much when he heads over to the new trailer to pick him up. But he has no clue Eddie practically stumbles down the front steps because he's too busy staring at the cow-print chaps that frame his butt in the best way possible.
Steve chooses to ignore Eddie's outfit: a homemade vampire bat costume he had been threatening to wear for weeks. They already argued about its tastelessness when Steve walked into the trailer last week to find Eddie sewing clumps of black furry material to the shoulders of a sweater and sculpting felt ears. But hey, if this is how Eddie wants to deal with them almost dying from the undead Upside Down equivalent... Steve just has no intention of defending him against a gaggle of teenagers when they are all supposed to be enjoying a Halloween party in the safety of Steve's house.
Robin and Nancy have finished the party planning, dressed in a failed couples costume (Robin's neon green jumpsuit and inflatable alien head far from complementing Nancy's impeccable Ellen Ripley). And Nancy is genuinely pissed about it because Argyle and Jonathan are dressed as a zombie bride and groom and look fantastic.
Steve stubbornly spends far too much of the night manning his parent's liquor cabinet for fear the kids will sneak a drink. And Eddie's smart enough to not tell him he saw Dustin (dressed as Gandalf the Grey) and Max (similarly controversial as Freddy Kruger) take a drink from a rogue beer can, gag and set it down on the Harrington's expensive coffee table without a coaster.
Eddie eventually drags Steve away to the downstairs bathroom, intertwining their pinkies, with a "come on cowboy" he'd waited all night to say. He managed to convince him that Will (aka Luke Skywalker) would take over as resident party-pooper at the liquor cabinet - even though Eddie did have to relinquish one Hellfire campaign to the kid so he could finally show off his Dungeon Master skills. Plus, it gave the kid a distraction from pining over Mike (who somehow managed to make Dracula look pathetic).
"You wanna kiss me, bat boy?" Steve asks with a little liquid courage and a blush as he closes the bathroom door and crowds Eddie against the vanity.
"Yes," Eddie says, suddenly completely panicked.
He didn't think they'd get this far considering they had almost kissed countless times before now, but were always interrupted. By Eddie's recollection, the last time was about 78 hours ago outside his trailer when Steve looked like he was about to kiss him goodbye until Max came running over with candy to share.
He leans in but Steve holds up a hand in protest.
"Um, Eds? Your fangs."
Eddie remembers his plastic vampire teeth and claps a hand to his mouth, utterly mortified. He spits them clean out into his palm and dumps them in the sink.
"Dude, ew," Steve says, screwing up his nose.
Eddie wipes his mouth with the back of his hand and rubs his spit-covered palm on his jeans. He then removes Steve's cowboy hat and combs his non-spitted-on fingers through his flattened hair. They look at each other for a moment before Steve leans in and places a soft kiss on his lips. They separate and sigh with utter relief.
They proceed to furiously make out and forget the party outside until someone comes banging on the bathroom door, at which point they exit, entirely flustered and awkwardly duck their heads out of view of whoever it was at the door and head for Steve's bedroom with lightening speed. Days later they find out it was a traumatised Lucas (he dressed as Maverick from Top Gun) who of course, blabbed to everyone before the party was over.

The Bad Kids and Rocky Horror Picture Show
(In my brain, the Black Pit has monthly shadowcast showings)
Fig: Fucking loves it. She’s been to so many midnight showings and has single handedly dragged every single member of the Bad Kids with her at least once. She can and will play all the songs on her bass. She is counting down the days until she’s old enough to join the shadowcast. She really enjoys talking with the actors when they have a smoke break after the show. She would dress up as Magenta, but she secretly sees her freshmen year self in Janet (repressed innocent looking girl to hooking up with men she just met pipeline)
Kristen: Soon after coming out, Fig and Tracker take her to a showing. She was very wide-eyed trying to take it all in and a little scandalized at first, but she comes back and gets really into the audience participation part. Her ADHD can’t-shut-the-fuck-up brain loves a movie where she can just yell stuff and not get in trouble. She knows every traditional line and adds her own. She owns a Columbia costume that she wears with Fig’s Magenta
Riz: Respects it for what it means to his friends but you could Not pay him to go to a showing. He is not interested and does not understand why all his horny friends like it (Alternatively: He went once with Fig without knowing what it was about. He was one of the virgin sacrifices and left with Fig shortly after)
Adaine: After going to it once, Rocky Horror becomes her Aelwyn’s parties. While she’s not a huge fan of all the sex parts of it, she fully loves having a space where she can be weird and loud and herself. The first time she dressed up, she was really anxious about it, what if no one else was in costume, but when they got there she saw a bunch of other people dressed up and felt better about it. Her first time, she goes as Riff to match Fig and Kristen (plus she loves just being a weird guy and having an excuse to silently stare off into space at random times (it’s in-character)), She also realized, with horror, that one of her old school uniforms would’ve made a good Dr. Scott costume
Gorgug: He’s been a couple times with the group. It’s not really his vibe and the movie isn’t his favourite, but he really loves the experience of going to see it with his friends. He’s added a couple of the songs to his playlists (Alternatively: He went once, saw his parents there and refuses to go back)
Fabian: You cannot convince me this repressed bisexual with a thing for toxic women didn’t take one look at Tim Curry in drag and suddenly have some Realizations. He gets a crush on the shadowcast actor who played Frank, but utterly fails at trying to talk to them after the show. He also gets really into doing the time warp every time. Fig has gotten him to go in an Eddie costume
