I know Sonya's feelings for Nikolai are much more complicated and complex and messy than "pure unyielding love UwU" and everyone's entitled to their interpretations and headcanons but the "Sonya realized she actually never loved Nikolai" attitude does give me the "True Love must be Always Pure, Stable and Healthy UwU" vibes

#i had the idea for this in march i think #aka a while ago #toh #the owl house #since kkkohd we know that hooty can consume things and spit them out again #so bc he doesnt have hands #and bc hes just a crazy guy #i can very much see him doing this #toh fanart #toh comic #toh amity #toh hooty #making panel 1 was actually so hard btw #its from the s1 credits where luz is running thru the forest #so i got several screenshots of that #and while was putting them together i realised the foreground moves at a different rate to the bg #so they didnt match up perfectly so that meant i had to layer it #and also paint over the text in the credits #and THEN #i had to learn how to change the colours in the whole thing bc the credits scene is in daytime but it needs nighttime colours #oh and there was also the house #for that i actually did have pics in nighttime so that was awesome #but then i had to combine it with the other half of the image #which included drawing past the edges of the screenshots to complete the background #and also i got a piece of moonlight from some other episode and put that over the ground #so yeah it was a whole process :D #the end result is great tho so im happy about that #the backgrounds in panels 4 5 and 7 also required much editing (: #i had to delete gus from them and change luz's window and stuff #anyway

Absolutely devastated to learn that I was misremembering a specific detail from HtN.

She was glad to see that someone—maybe his mother, the mawkish Sister Glaurica—had painted his face as his father had once painted his own, with a solid black jaw to represent the Mouthless Skull. This was not because she had any especial love for the Mouthless Skull, as paint sacrament went. It was merely because any jawéd skull he affected became a wide white skull with depression.

For some reason I was convinced that Ortus exclusively wears the Mouthless Skull. I thought I remembered a discussion - or at least an implication - that he does it deliberately. He knows what happened to his father. He never speaks of it until he starts suspecting that he's dead, and may well die a second time. It would not be too surprising, if he'd at least suspected the truth about the creche flu. I thought -

I thought it was a deliberate act of rebellion. Something like civil disobedience. Look at me, it seemed to say. I am silent. I am silenced.

But no. He wears the Skull of the Anchorite Dying (whatever that means) at the arrival to Canaan House.

Oh well.

How the Lady Bone Demon stole Christmas

So I wrote this for chapter 17, basically Macaque is left alone with MK, Bai He and the cubs and they want to do something but Macaque has no idea how to deal with kids. He knows they like arts and crafts so he suggests that they make a shadow play for Wukong when he gets back (He's off doing something that's spoilers also it would take way to long to describe)

This is the result of MK and Bai He being allowed to write a story together;

“The air was festive and happy, everyone was happy because it was Christmas Eve. There was a light blanket of sparkling snow on every surface and it just made everyone burst into song. There was someone who didn’t like the cheeriness. The Lady Bone Demon, from high atop her mech she looked down at everyone with unhappiness. She did not get the joy of this holiday, it did not fit with her crooked idea of the world.

“How dare they have fun and laugh, what childish behavior!” She said to her associate the Mayor “So much noise and it will only get worse!” 

“Oh my lady, what will you do about it?’ Replied the Mayor with an everlasting grin. The Lady Bone Demon cast a disdainful glare at those below before a wicked and devious plan came to her

“While they sleep we shall go and steal everything about this stupid holiday and when they wake there will be nothing more they can trouble me with” She grinned back at the Mayor, pleased with her flawless plan to steal Christmas. Below everyone was unaware their fate had been sealed, their holiday spirit was to great and even bitter rivals found new friendship

“I know I have been terrible to you in the past” Macaque said “But I miss our friendship”

“I have missed you too!” The Monkey King replied with tears in his eyes, his dear old friend offering him a gift of friendship.”

“Did you proofread this?” Wukong whispered with a grin.

“Shut up” Macaque hissed back, hiding his blushing face with his scarf having evidently not read the kid’s script in advance.

“Be quiet!” MK said from behind the two monkeys “We’re telling the story!”

“Sorry, sorry, continue” Wukong waved for his successor to continue.

“The Monkey King was delighted with the gift and took his old friend by the hand so they could both go to the best noodle shop in the entire city and spend the night with all their friends. Everyone was waiting for them, Bai He, Pigsy, Tang, Sandy, Mei, and Monkie Kid were already there and for the rest of the night they hung out together and sang happy songs. The Lady Bone Demon wasn’t happy though, she could hear everyone singing and it made her mad.

“Listen to all those fools down there!” She said to the Mayor “Making such a fuss over a single day”

“I know my lady” The Mayor grinned “But you will deal with them soon”

“Of course, as soon as they are asleep” The Lady Bone Demon said 

“And what if one awakes while you are there?” The Mayor asked 

“That is no matter, I will go in disguise.” The Lady Bone Demon replied, raising a hand in a dismissive wave “These imperfect beings have a fictional being that breaks into their house tonight and leaves them gifts, we will simply go as this being and his sisters and no one will be any the wiser”

“How wonderful my lady” The Mayor bowed “I can’t wait to see you succeed” Soon enough the last light in the city went dark and everyone was asleep. With the Mayor as Santa Clause and the Lady Bone Demon as his sister, the two evil demons sunk down from their mech and started looting the houses. They took everything, the food, the gifts, even the decorations! Nothing was left of the holiday in the house! The Lady Bone Demon had just collected the last of the presents when she heard a soft noise, little Hexie had come out to see what the noise was about.

“Why are you taking our presents?” She asked 

“Oh no little one, I’m not taking them” The Lady Bone Demon lied with a smile “Santa Clause made a mistake and gave you the wrong ones so I am going to take them back to him so you can get the right ones” With a pat on the head, the Lady Bone Demon sent the little cub back to bed. With the cub asleep, the Lady Bone Demon picked up the bag of presents and walked back to the Mayor. 

“We’ve gotten everything my lady” He said 

“Let’s go dump these in the ocean so they can never enjoy Christmas again” The Lady Bone Demon lifted the many bags of stolen gifts, food, and decorations with her evil magic. As they were heading out to the ocean the sun started to rise

“We’ve been robbed!” Tang was surprised “Who would do such a thing on Christmas?”

“I know who” Monkie Kid held up his staff “That evil Lady Bone Demon! She hates Christmas!”

“Well what are we waiting for?” Mei held up her jade sword “Lets go kick her butt” The friends flew out of the noodle shop and headed towards where the Lady Bone Demon was about to drop all the stolen things

“You can’t steal Christmas from us!” Monkie Kid shouted

“I already have! You can’t have Christmas without your things!” The Lady Bone Demon shouted

“Christmas isn’t about those things! It’s about being together and we will defeat you together!” Monkie Kid said before the team of friends ran forwards to fight the Lady Bone Demon and the Mayor. They defeated her and returned everything and were crowned the heroes of the city!”

“The end!” Both Bai He and MK said together, running pas the sofa to join the twins and Qiáng yì in front 

“Did you like it Monkey King?” MK asked eagerly.

“It was interesting,” Wukong replied, “Though I don’t remember the story ending like that.”

“I didn’t want her to have a change of heart” Bai He pointed out “She never did anyway”

“Well, I think it was fantastic!” Macaque was grinning widely “Bai He, your puppetry needs a bit of work but your a natural” The girl beamed at the praise 

“I really liked the backgrounds, did you do them all yourself Bud?” Wukong asked

“Qiáng yì helped me color them but I did all the lines” MK practically was glowing with happiness.

“It was good work” Wukong nodded “I think Macaque is going to have competition in the shadow play market soon” He shot a smirk at the shadow monkey.

“I welcome the challenge” Macaque replied in a smug tone.
