Fun Fact
Kazakhstan’s Minister of Communications and Informatics has blocked the Tumblr site because it contained 60 sites of terrorism, extremism, and pornography in 2015.
Bite and Sting tile blanks! The dried clay makes the most satisfy click-clack sounds when you tap the tiles on a hard surface (including each other!) and I’m so pleased. Sooo worth the effort of making actual tiles and not just cutting out cards.
Anyway, I’ve read 13 books so far this year and rated five stars only three of them: The Winner’s Curse (which was a reread and it’s still good as I remember), 1984 (my second Orwell novel and there’s a reason why it’s a classic) and Rhythm of War (it’s a Sanderson book, do I even need to explain?)
I’ve also read a few contemporary romances here and there; my favorite has to be Lukov with Love and my biggest disappointment was The Summer I Turned Pretty books.
I loved the tv show of TSITP so I was expecting a good read, but it turned out to be... not so good? Granted, it could simply be that I don’t belong to the target audience anymore. Who knows, maybe I would have liked it when I was in my teens. The cheating subplot made me dislike it even more.
I expected to have read more Dark Academia-ish book by this time of the year, but so far I’ve only read If We Were Villains, which was so good and it kept reminding me of The Secret History. I picked up Mona Awad’s Bunny when I was in Amsterdam, but I’m still not in the mood for it.
Another favorite of mine is The Island of the Missing Trees - this was so sad and dark. Apart from the beautiful writing, It was interesting to read from a fig tree’s perspective. Yep, one of the main perspective is a fig tree’s. RAFO.
The last book I finished is Half-Blood since I wanted to read fantasy along with Emma (oh, right- I’m currently reading my first Austen novel and I don’t want to devour it in one ago). It’s by no means mind-blowing or life-changing, but it’s entertaining and interesting.
Honestly I've read the first 2 and loving it so far💓💞 especially the 2nd book since it has more tension and angst🤭 Idk 🤷♀, but the MC's best friend is a bit annoying in my opinion, hope she gets a character development in the next book,,,
I knew that the dad would betray her in the end but it hurts 💔😭 I don't relate with Krestal but at the same time I do 😵💫 Honestly, was a bit scared that Arin might fall for the Queen or at least use her to forget Krestal but I was relieved to see that he rejected her,,, as he should!

After this, f*ck to his haters. He didn't win because he was lucky. It was not luck at all. It was strategy and talent.
Absolutely brilliant🧡🧡
let's first factor in that he had less than an hour of FP1 and was crashed out of the sprint, he maximised the fuck out of suboptimal testing of what was borderline a whole new car
the safety car helped, much like it often helps anyone (cheaper pit stops, helps save tyres a bit, etc) but even before that as soon as Checo was out the way Lando was closing the gap to Carlos like a madman, I'm talking full scenario 7 Austria 2020 style
the safety car was also gone on lap 33. out of 57.
Lando had 24 laps of just pure brilliant driving where anything could've happened, except the only thing that did was him extending his lead
one does not pull a 7.6 gap to Max Verstappen in a rocket ship with just luck, it's talent 😌
Ok, Traffic Lifers. Specifically those invested in the celestial winner system.
Can we all agree right now that if, by some miracle, Jimmy ever wins a season, his associated celestial body will be Pluto.
Pluto, being the Roman counterpart of Hades, is god of the underworld, and by association death. I don’t think I need to reiterate the canary curse to explain how well this fits.
(Also Pluto is the last of the main eight planets, and is basically the wet-cat of the solar system)
