Hey seiishin, I'm a beginner artist and i was hoping you could give a full tutorial on how you color?

hello! this is a bit of a hard question to answer since i dont think giving a tutorial of how i colour without learning any foundational colour concepts first would be very beneficial, so i'll try to give you some basic tips on picking colours instead since this is a very VERY expansive topic and im simply not the kind of person that can pass on that knowledge very well especially since im not the best at it lol

when im picking colours for my drawings, i try my best to "unify" the colour pallet so that it seems more cohesive, this tip from ggdg sums it up pretty well i think

other than that, i usually try to pick colours that generally look good together based on different colour harmony concepts, like these!

i'll try and show you an example with something i'm working on right now. you'll notice i didn't colour pick tinkaton's colours from its art and went for a warmer pink and saturated the blues of the hammer a little.

you'll also notice the canvases i draw on are NEVER pure white. this isnt to say pure white is something that can never be used but white is a colour that usually influenced by surrounding colours, so pure white in most pallets just wont look right. so its not usually a colour i would use as a backdrop if youre trying to pick good colours for your art. but again, there's always exceptions and this isnt a hard rule. here's pure white compared to the colour my canvases usually start with

another thing i should touch on briefly is colour relativity and the importance of value and saturation.

value is SUPER SUPER important for making sure all the colours in your art stand out from each other and read clearly. as you can see here, most of the values here stand apart from each other, and i can see that i probably need to adjust the darkness of the light blue in comparison to the pink hair tips, though the lineart separates them well enough already i think. this is also a good way tocheck you havent made any dark skinned characters too light. values are important guys!

hot tip: put a layer of pure black on top of your art and set that layer to "colour" and BOOM! you can see the values of your art in grayscale.

and i'll also briefly touch on colour relativity. because we percieve colours relative to each other, we usually read a colour as something its not when its surrounded by certain other colours. let's take a look at my background drawings in the cover i did for the shuichi saihara zine:

though i only used a bunch of different purples, when all of them are perceived in relation to each other, a warmer purple can look like blonde hair amongst all the other purples!

as for the brushes i use while colouring, i like textured brushes! i bought these so i cant share them for free but im sure there are many free alternatives out there

anyway, sorry if this isnt exactly what you wanted, but there are TONS of people out there that have worded this better than i ever could, i would suggest looking up some youtube vids on colour theory, but i hope these little tips are useful enough!

- you argue. A lot. like so much that your neighbour and the apartment below you complained several times and also kinda tried to make the landlord kick u out so you made scara apologize to them bc hes mainly the reason its so noisy

- he will actually follow you everywhere, sorta like a guard dog. everyone around you is pretty intimidated by him but they are even more scared of you when they see that you basically keep him in check

- he can’t fucking cook dear lord. you told him to stay in the fucking apartment bc you had an important meeting today and he couldnt come with you and he was like “i didnt want to come anyway” and you just said “fuck you” (affectionate) in return (note: wrote this before his signature dish came out and he’s actually a really good cook don’t judge me ahaha)

- but when you come back your apartment and kitchen especially is a mess. you forgot to teach him how to use online delivery. and hes just like chilling out watching tv with mild interest, acting like half of your apartment isnt covered in eggs and flour and who knows what else

he then leaves it but by the next afternoon he's actually getting hungry and grumpy and eventually starts cleaning it up the next day when he can't take it anymore and you finally come home to a clean kitchen bc thank god, you didn't know how much longer you could live on your co-worker's lunches

- you're both just so stubborn. he's stubborn and so are you and that leaves the apartment just with a tense silence AND when someone sees u at that time they feel so uncomfortable bc the atmosphere is just so tense between the two of you since neither of you agree

- silent treatment happens a lot and its really fucking stupid bc you both wanna talk to each other after like a few days but neither of you want to be the first one to admit that

- omg you absolutely hate having guests now BECAUSE HOW ARE YOU MEANT TO EXPLAIN HIM??? also he has to have normal clothes now and he looked at all your clothing choices in disgust

- everyone thinks he's just a friend until they realize he actually lives with you and then they're like "oohhhh are you together??" and think that he's your boyfriend/partner. and honestly you dont even deny it bc there is no feasible way to explain who he really is (without sounding crazy) + you get your parents off your back abt getting a boyfriend bc they kept trying to make you go on blind dates and now you're free from that phew

- but some of your friends/co-workers are all like "really? this lil guy? and they often say this around him and it just annoys and offends him to no end. but also you're surprisingly defensive of him, like yes he's a bitchy emo gremlin but he's your bitchy emo gremlin

for the ex spouse it would definitely depend on what kind of person the MC is, so if your MC was a lowkey person who didnt like that whole party shebang then they wouldve organised a small get together with their parents, your parents and the MCs closest friends. but if your MC was outgoing and extroverted, they would have probably planned a surprise party!! its really just about the MCs comfort level since theyve known you for so long

now is a whole different story. i think now they wouldnt plan a party or anything, theyd just drop by with a small gift they picked out way too early (multiple months ago) with a little note and just place it in front of the door. i dont think they would risk ruining the MCs birthday in case the MC didnt want them there so that would probably be the easiest solution

this would be the first time the bartender will have actually spent MCs birthday with them cause usually theyd have to work so would only see them for very short!! but when theyre dating theyd book time off and then once theres only a couple hours left before the MCs birthday, they would toss a helmet at the MC and just say something like "c'mon i wanna show you something" (they wont give much away LOL). then theyd take the MC to a secluded place they usually retreat to clear their head, and there would be a picnic already set up. and then when theres only one minute left till midnight, theyd count down from 10 with a cupcake and one single candle between them and at one theyd wish the MC a happy birthday and tell them to make a wish haha. then if the MC would like theyd stay out there for a few more hours

fyi the bartender wanted to do something like this because they didnt want to rob the MC of any moments they could have with their friends, family etc

if the MC has a party later on in the day the bartender would probably show for a bit but they wouldnt stay long just cause it isnt their scene. but if the MC has a family dinner or something like that theyd be so stressed out haha but theyd still attend if the MC invited them and yeah you might need to elbow them a couple of times to get them to actually talk LOL

the patient loves to organise special events so the first time they plan a birthday the MCs birthday itll be both LOL cause they wouldnt be 100% sure so theyd just have a small gathering in the afternoon and then a big party in the evening. theyd invite every person from the MCs contacts, and let them know and then by the end of the day theyd ask the MC which one they liked better. and then theyd use the information to make their next birthdays one to remember haha so yeah they first one might be a little experimental but theyll make sure to make the next as great as they can with loads of pictures to remember it by!!

i think the problem with the fam is theyre too obedient. theyre such goody two shoes the hope is that it'd rub off right? on the doctor. but it doesnt bc she hides her badness and they wont question her. okay they'll question her "what happened to never do weapons" "why dont you ever share anything with us" but they wont push back when she says nah ah we dont talk about that. and thats her problem. she wont talk about that. or that. or that. or that. or any of it

i think if you put a limit on their patience. theyre understanding but not forever (i mean theyre even understanding after her "death". "she knew she was gonna do something that might kill her" "she wanted us to live"). watch them grow more annoyed as they call out hypocrisies and less and less willing to accept bullshit answers. it would put a lot of movement in the dynamic i think

like okay, taking yaz out of the equation bc shes not a companion shes a doctor, just considering ryan and graham for now: ryan is young and like, being formed, which is part of his arc, but he also already has a lot of like really life- and worldview-shaping experiences right? black, disabled, unable to count on most of the guardians in his life. those things profoundly shape how you stand in the world, how you approach and are approached

and okay lets put yaz back in for a sec because shes really interesting to like put next to ryan and see like what happens there. because she and ryan share both being racialised and being neurodivergent, if you want to call it that (if depression counts. personally i think depression is more of a like regular human reaction to life than "divergence" from the "typical" so to say, but then i also think the secret underlying reason she was bullied and thus depressed was the autism. so it cancels out for me. but like thats sort of weaving in and out the text. and depression also is something very different from dyspraxia. BUT these are both things about them that like have been Underlined for us the audience, same as the conversation behind the bins in rosa, so i think im justified in putting these two things together as comparison. okay tangent over)

ryan and yaz both have had experiences of not being able to count on the people around them, for various reasons but all the same. it would be fairly understandable i think for ryan to be sort of like, fuck adults fuck people who have authority over me based on nothing. whereas yaz,,,,becomes the authority

yaz says to do good in the world i must have the power of the state. which also implies the power of the state can be good and is meant to be good. ryan i can easily imagine having been someone who no authority was worth counting on so fuck them all. that wouldve been a reaaally interesting tension to see play out throughout s11 and s12 i think

and thats just two of them. we've got a team of four. imagine both of their reactions to the doctor. we dont have to imagine with yaz, but ryan couldve been more like well whos she. you know? why are we listening to her? what just because she says so? let her prove herself first.

and then theres graham who has like half a lifetime of experience of Being A Human on them, who isnt in the coming of age phase anymore, who must have a lot of his own worldview, ideas, politics. we see like, a tiny bit of that with like edison or whatever but how does that play with a Time LordTM?

like theres a lot of interesting ways to pair up and to clash them! 13 and yaz with suicidal ideation, 13 and ryan on the dad thing, 13 and graham on survivors guilt. 13 and yaz vs ryan and graham on authority and law. ryan vs graham and 13 on guardians. ryan and yaz vs 13 and graham on being racialised. 13 and yaz vs ryan and graham on sexism. this couldve been a wildly dynamic team i think. if only you'd let them fight! if only you'd let them have their own opinions and Speak Them. this would put like so much schwung in like,, every plot, every episode

because it's all there! right? it's all already there, just look at the episode list of s11, it's all there, racism, sexism, workers, colonialism, big fucking spiders i dont know! wait thats a worker one again let me revise big fucking spiders capitalism! it's all there, you just gotta make it a bit dialectical. have them argue their sides and disobey and have 13 be like herding cats

imagine the way this would have challenged the doctor and the doctor's politics, then to follow it up with s12 "gallifrey is not what we think it is. we are not what we think we are"

and then revolution of the daleks, ryan and graham gone, and in that episode the police was very obviously like sided with the daleks and the capitalist and that politician right? the police was the fascists. hi, yasmin, how are you. oh, crazy? right, good, the doctor is too.

yaz and 13, now alone, ten months between revolution and flux, time to grapple with what it means to be both victim and agent of an empire. do we accept that? do we refuse that role? how do we refuse that role? how do we be good? what does it mean to be good if police clearly isnt it? how do we take off the uniforms. what moral framework do we build and then commit to, and hold each other accountable to, as copilots of this operation. what do we want to do in the universe. what is our impact. what do we want to avoid doing. how do we do that.

had the doctor said "i was in prison for being me" to yaz, imagine how that would have shaken up her ideas about prisons and how and why people might be in them. might have started her thinking. but then we're back to where i started this post before i totally lost control of it: The Doctor Doesnt Talk About That. and if the fam had been slightly more disobedient in s11, maybe in revolution there would have been place for it

he hated this. he was actually mad at you but the worry was stronfer as he held you.

you might not like it but there is no time to loose.

as they ran around the place Banshee found the machine that could help.. but the problem is, there isnt any functional shall nearby and the closes to them might be way too far and it would be too late to get.

while you are slowly loosing sight and concousness Cayde lied you down on the table..

then everything went dark with the voice of Cayde and Banshee yelling..

Soulfire Purgatory Day 1-3

(a detailed list for those who dont know what’s going on for Blue team)

Spawn- lets talk about spawn in excruciating detail because it is a nightmare that I dont think simply saying its a snowy mountain has others really understand how utterly brutal this is. Spawn is on top of a snowy mountain, there is no dirt. Which blue team was desperate to find not even for food but for ‘create’ purposes so they might be able to turn it into stone. Yes thats right for the first half an hour no one could even break stone! They couldn’t make a furnace for glass to drink water! They had to travel hundreds of blocks till they found dirt, and everyone died to dehydration before making it. There is no time to decorate spawn to make it less treacherous. Anytime going back to spawn it takes over half health trying to get back to there meager spot of supplies. When spawning you break your ankles just getting off the mountain to water, thats not even including mobs, and then dehydration saps all the way down. When you nearly die just getting away from base and then have to regear to find your death location to recover belongings, there isnt time to go back hundreds of blocks to that humiliating spawn to make it more habitable, quests need to be done. Blue team was able to find a different npc quest merchant and Bad has even utilized Reds quest merchant because who on earth is going to rescale that ridiculous mountain.

Now lets talk players Bad, and Tubbo are the only hard hitters for the team (and there only really successful together) Pac and Aypierre are ‘mid range’ support and every other player is a resource player, they are not frequent players by any stretch (they make do and they’ve been killing it with it but in hopes of reliability its very sporadic). 2/3 of Blue team is filled with infrequent players and non parents. They dont have the stress that is riding on Bad’s shoulders which means many wont have the sense of urgency to play because there is no stakes for them. Now blue team has been crushing it in allocating jobs, Tina has been absolutely incredible in leading the resource front, she keeps up moral for the more inexperienced players and gives them tasks. She discovered an op item that has been fueling the rest of her team she’s been 100% a powerhouse. Because Blue has so little in terms of pvp power Bad and Tubbo have to scout and kill where they can. Part of being threatening is not letting the otherside know just how weak you are, if you keep appearing you seem relentless and it wears on your targets mind. It is not an easy trek to red teams base. They do it because its strategic it makes red team feel powerless but as Foolish has finally discovered on day 3 it is by no means easy, shouting ‘theres no way they make this trip everytime’ they do, its awful.

Narratively Bad was left a message by Dapper that instructed Bad to do whatever it took to win. Dapper was physically harming themselves to make potions to protect his siblings he isnt going to stop trying to protect them now. Dapper told Bad to win at whatever the cost and that is weighing like an enormous boulder in Bads heart. He wants every egg alive, and this clue along with their spawn has hinted to Bad that they are cursed and Bad wants to make sure they win.

so here’s the comprehensive break down of each day:

Day 1:

-no one can break stone to get water bottles for water they desperately travel hundreds of blocks to find dirt

-once finally finding dirt they are able to break stone for the first time

-they start mining and build a small farm along the shore

-Tubbo uses his materials to make create mechanics only to be told afterwards by the server that its not allowed so then has to go back and mine more

-Bad geared up enough in iron and marked down where player tags showed on the map well before anyone began hiding them, he spotted Slime alone on the map and hunted him down Slime had a lot of resources so Bad waited by his corpse as Tubbo, Aypierre and Nikki came to it.

-Aypierre branched away and discovered center and turned in quests

-Bad and Tubbo went to red teams base and caused a ruckus getting several kills (bad and tubbo both got six kills in total for the day)

-Tina went full farming simulator and gave lenay the task of saplings, Nikki dirt and sand collector and Missa became the apple boy while she made carrots and potatoes

-there base is raided by green, fit and etoiles kills tina, lenay, (nikki?), and missa

Day 2:

-coming off day 1 win and twitter pleas to go easy on red blue gets no kills today out of mercy

-they mine for materials and hand in every global quest for some reason this doesn’t seem to effect their score and while they had 3 people on there team gathering resources and turning them in Etoiles gains and over passes them with what seems like ease by himself

-this greatly demotivates and confuses blue

-nikki still spends all her time mining resources that bad hands in to global quests

-tubbo is killed by Etoiles

-tubbo spends a good chunk of time on a mob farm but the drop rates render it pretty much unusable

-Bad stashes some good materials he got from mining

-Bad scours the entire map to fill out his map and find other resources namely he spends his entire time searching for bunnies for a backpack he also looks around greens spawn area (he does nothing just scouts he was also looking for a banana)

-they allow backpacks the actual second Bad is kicked for time (it was soooo targeted)

-Tina discovers a resource late at night without anyone on (besides pol) an op resource that she passes on the following day

-Bad pleas with Tina to get a kill to see how it effects team score.

-Tina gets materials for a backpack

-poor Tina has a desperate miserable moment in the snow after dying to a hunger event

Day 3:

-Tubbo and Pac race to get diamonds to gear up

-they turn in every global quest early on and had double there needs to claim again (but no one did till too late in the evening to despute)

-Mobs were freakishly buffed and Bad died to a meature at reds base

-blue had so many deaths to mobs and after so many attempts just to retrieve bads body from reds base Bad builds a one block bridge at spawn to ocean for an easier time

-it was a brutal day with mobs for Blue and so many expressed true frustration and anguish. Very suspiciously the time with more blue players on this was true then towards the later half of the day the mobs go back to normal when more red team is on (i dont know if this is speculation but it seemed off and fishy)

-Bad and Aypierre leave a ghost block trap by reds mob spawner (quackity dies in it)

-bad kills Bagerha, Phil kills Bad and Aypierre claiming all there belongings

-Tubbo and Bad kill Etoiles. To start etoiles and fit chased tubbo, tubbo met up with bad and bad damaged fit enough to isolate Etoiles they persued until they killed him.

-bad makes a motor boat

-Bad is desperate to get kills today but Tubbo holds him back because the ‘poor’ red team what would twitter think! They spend the rest of there time ping ponging between center and red base

-Tina moves the farm underground

-missa is killed by foolish and also gives that red knows where to find them.

During all the days they die a-lot and travel constantly. To get to center they have to walk up over the volcano. Blue spawn is the furthest from center with there being a mountain to climb to get to it. Ive heard from other teams views that its an ‘advantage’ because other teams cant get to there base. But A there true ‘base’ is out on an open beach and B other teams dont even have to do anything because there spawn already does the work for them, its hellish!

this is my ridiculously long account of the trials of team Soulfire day 1-3, you deserve a medal if youve read this far. Gold stars all around

but separated for those who would only like to be babies

pre infection and post resi 4 he is thinking about retiring so you coming into his life is a blessing

a reason to cling to his sanity, someone he can protect and spend his ridiculous amounts of money on he gets either as a salary or as a pension

loves when you regress and show weakness as he isnt used to a display of that total daintiness. adores it wholeheartedly and wouldnt change it for anything.

loves the outdoors and car rides/roadtrips, if you accompany him on one he will be over the moon

camping trips with just the two of you, making marshmallows and stargazing are frequent with him

you can howl at the moon/ bring him cool sticks and rocks you found,/ you can even hunt and catch some insects, but he always reminds you to put them back to their place later as they are living beings too

you can play hunt with him tho as well, he is a master of hide and seek (but will tone it down for you)

you can watch movies in the car without headphones on

will teach you campfire songs and tell you o n l y the exciting and funny stories of when he was working

loves a puppy regressor, but is open to any other animal and he will be fascinated to learn to care for you in new ways

you two will visit pet shops and he lets you choose toys and equipment for helping you regress

will bake you cokies resembling dog treats/make you chicken strips and eggs (fox), i can see him fishing from time to time and he is happy to prepare his catch for you (cat)/ will keep gummy worms and sliced fruit in his backpack for you (rodent, bat) if you like them even different seeds, nuts and dried fruit (the student mix rocks imo) as well

any time you want to go outside he will go with you to the backyard and watch you explore and play and even join you if you ask i him, any way, he wont take his eyes off of you

likes playing chase or tug o' war and he commits to the bit with holding back and letting you win, but we can tire you out (either pre infection or post re4 that is very considerate and impressive of him with all that power and the physique)

you will have your own little playground with slides and swings amd monkeybars but he is perfectly okay with taking you to one in the neighbourhood

watching shows on animal planet about the one you regress to - will tell you if the cuties in the show act just like you and will praise you for it

if youd like he can give you a cute petname (there is a big chance it has the structure similar to  the codenames they used all the time)

not experienced with a little not as a pet regressor but regardless will be eager to learn and helps with the regression

is very patient amd lets you stay in the headspace as long as you like

prints you coloring pages (using the militarys money)

no but really scrap papers, templates noone will ever fill, he just takes and uses the other side

now your colored pages sometimes will have a military stamp of the branch he workes in on

and sometimes gets your art mixed in between his work papers

likes helping you out with your creative projects

very lenient on your bedtime as having the night to himself and passing out at 2am watching something with you on the tv, when the kids channels all have either switched to some other type, are repeating episodes or are playing really old shows is a rare treat he couldnt have without the consequence of being tired all day next day

now you two are sleeping in as much as you can and enjoying life

likes morning walks with you on the occasions you wake up early, when the neighbours are still asleep and the sun hasnt risen yet

if you get tired he can carry you

will cook for you but hasnt got anything against fast food

will surprise you with toys he saw you looking at online or you got mesmerised with watching an ad

some of the shows you two watch together are: bluey, jake the pirate, paw patrol, mickey mouse clubhouse, the crearure cases, scooby-doo, the garfield show, madagascar, barbie and the newest my little pony series - he likes the old one as well but thinks it may be a bit scary somstimes for a little

sometimes when he reads you a story his mother used to for him as well he gets emotional and may regress with you

this feeling isnt new to him but only since meeting you can he really word what he feels and needs

its perfectly fine he doesnt push you to be his caregiver if its not in your nature or put you of your headspace, he is content with playing and cuddling with you

but if you take care if him when little/pet regressed or if you arent a typical cg but as his beloved he at the moment doesnt wanna label his nature of relationship with, he will melt

will totally cry

will cry everything out those moments

slipping into littlespace especially, there is at least an hour of that always in the beginning

uses baby-talk or goes non-verbal

doesnt like to think of you as his mommy, because the relationship with his family is complicated: the relationship with his mom is sacred. this is not to say you can never fill the void in his heart left by growing up and away from her, he just doesnt wanna put that burden on you, this holy image of a guardian, kind of like God. his mom tried her best to keep him safe, yet he went off to the most tiresome, cruel and demaning job, he still feels ambiguous about it, thinking he upset his mom by going against her kind nature. his dad better not mentioned, doesnt like to think of him even not in littlespace, he absolutely forgets he has a dad when regressed.

sometimes he just repeats "im sorry" over and over. about his men, how he treated leon if he went the canon way, if not how he almost turned to the dark side.

wants you to kiss his scars better.

big hoodies to hide his arms, he still feels insecure about them. you can reassure him he is the strong and brave boy he was.

has a 50+cm plushie of his fave animal which he carries around everywhere

you will have a cd collection of all the shows and movies he liked as a kid

he will be commenting on them while you two watch it and introduce you to the characters. if you get lost, totally helps you out by telling you the story

if you make him meals he had as a kid he will cry happy tears

is open to modern media as well

at one point he totally was into pokemon, but seeing his beloved characters fighting is saddening to him so he only plays pretend with raising them

his plushie collection. totally has the cats legs hanging down to the floor. yall need to wash that one more or put socks on it so those will get dirty instead of the stuffie

gives names to all his plushies and has a journal where he writes down what happened with them in their day to day life

you can regress together as well and have tea parties with them

She never said she felt no remorse, you are assuming she doesn't based off her self-sacrifice. Itt is obvious the League of Villain will go the route I said if you watch the story closely. If you can believe in something as stupid as All for One sacrificing himself to save Izuku then this is not hard to believe in this either.

The only way for afo sacrificing himself for izuku that would make actual sense storywise is if he is his father in a darth vader kind of style and that absolutely still WOULDNT redeem him or forgive his crimes! If he isnt izukus father, then no it wouldnt make sense at all even to me! If toga is ready to sacrifice herself for a girl she barely knows I see no reason why a father wouldnt do the same for his child even if said father is a villain! And afo will die 100% no matter what anyway! He wont get a second chance in life and have a happily ever after with his family and I NEVER claimed he will!

Okay so I checked an other translation (the one I did read left some things out) and I give you that, she doesnt say she feels no remorse for her actions BUT she also doesnt say she does! She says she refuses to get arrested and thats the only logical thing that will happen for the lov if they survive. Toga STILL choose death OVER a chance for rehabilitation in a hospital or jail for her crimes! Are you seriously trying to tell me the lov members should get a happy ending after they DESTROYED the happy endings of hundreds of other innocent people, just because these people are faceless strangers for us readers! They even killed CHILDREN or turned them into orphans by killing their parents! They helped to destroy ENTIRE citys full of normal people, killed whole familys! Seems like you have forgotten that or you just want to ignore it because you see no fault in your favorite characters! Im an afo stan, yes I believe he has a fucked up past too which is responsible for why he ended up the way he is and I still guarantee you the LAST THING I want is for him to survive or rehabilitate himself. He NEEDS to die or at the very least put into prison for the rest of his life!

Like I said, it would be a terrible message espicially to younger readers if the lov members get in the end what they took from innocent people - a second chance and a happy life. Hori would literally tell his readers that massmurder is okay as long as you have a tragic backstory! Do you seriously think after everything the lov pulled hori will just use eri for example as a plot device and let her heal all the villains and then let them face no further consequences for their crimes?! Like do you think dabi will just return home and live together with the rest of his family as if nothing ever happend? As if he hasnt killed or helped to kill dotzen of people himself? What do you think the rest of japan will do? Go to them, clapping them on the back and tell them that everything is okay and forgiven now?

Listen Im fine with you not agreeing with me, so lets just agree to disagree on this topic! You believe that the lov members will get an happily ever after, I think its unrealistic! Last Life: cottagecore queers. they started as friends, sure, they're best friends, but best friends who kiss, hold hands, cuddle together, cook together, stick to eachother like glue istg. AND I REPEAT !! KISS!! SURE SMALL PECKS BUT THATS NOT VERY FRIEND LIKE !! ive read many queerplatonic galaxy duo fanfics, but i think they're just romantically crushing on eachother and w time their relationship quickly escalated and neither of them wants to ask the big "what are we?" question. (plus, I hc every season of the series happens in a different season of the year, maybe in different years?? idk cause i didnt count for 3rd life but i dont think it would count as spring... ANYWAYS Last Life happens in Summer, for angst purposes)

Double Life: I don't wanna talk too much abt their relationship in DL cus it makes me so mentally ill, reminds me of sum personal lore in my life I wont get into, but I still love em. I hc soulmates have some shared features w their soulmates, different for everyone, like these two have the ends of their hair the color of the others hair. after the "divorce" Pearl tried to cut off that teal part but the ends just gew upwards, like the teal part just appeared in his new ends when moon cut off the old ones, so at the end he just used red dye to dye em red. Also I feel like they lowkey miss eachother even if both are too stubborn to talk to eachother and at least try to fix things. (winter. winter freezes. often killing all that in summer grew green)

Limited Life: Oh hoh ho... the drama is back but the toxicity is gone. frienemies, exes, a bit petty still but can joke about it for a lil, have forgiven eachother but at times still feel resentment. they live very far away, yet when they interact in person, if things are 1o1 and there isnt any of their allies nearby, gosh can the tension be cut with a knife. not only tension in the way or anger, but sometimes just being awkward around eachother, sometimes homosexual tension, sometimes homoerotic tension- (half joke, i wont talk abt nsfw stuff but theyre adults). They stare at eachother from across the room thinking either "i wanna punch you so bad" or "i would so go and kiss you right here right now", or both. However theyre still fairly friendly, its not the same as *Our Last Summer*, since they'll maybe pull petty pranks on eachother, specially the Nosy Neighbors on Mean Gills, with Pearl mostly having Scott's ever so slightly upset reaction, if even to get a groan or frown from him, tho he doesnt hate her anymore, its not like winter, thats in the past. Autumn comes and makes leafs fall... it gets rid of the dead waste of what winter killed, preparing for Spring...

Secret Life: ... for a new beginning. Spring comes along, a new, more lighthearted game at the start. After going through so much stuff together, everything they've overcome, "That's in the past" "It was a one time thing?" "Yeah, yeah" "Well, I'm glad we agree... glad we can move past that". And they start again, blank page, althrough clearly stained by past moments, they can look back at them fondly and joke around about it without hard feelings. Not only that, but they finally make up their minds, both of them get their shit together and can finally label their relationship, make it official... tho whats a game about secrets without some secrets of their own? So at first, with a bit of fear of what their allies would say, but also just in a way to keep privacy and get a laugh out of others confusions, they meet up in secret. Secret meetings at night or when their allies are out, whispering to eachother and giving eachother accomplice looks, finding hiden spots to sit down and talk. They're plenty suspicious in plain sight, but with all the reasons there could be for them to be hiding something? Maybe theyre up to no good! Maybe they're plotting destruction! Maybe its got to do with their tasks! Yeah, it drives the yellows mad in particular, trying to guess their tasks just to be told it couldnt be further from correct or that they already complited theirs. Now some participants are a bit oblivious, but others can put 2 and 2 together pretty quickly... they'd keep their mouths shut tho, cause seeing the others lose their mind trying to uncover their "plans" is quite the funny sight. Maybe some would get a push like a little knudge from Cleo "They're dating, Bdubs" "... OHHHH, SO THATS WHY". The Roomies all know for sure, Impulse suspects, to Gem and the Mounders it never crossed their minds, unsure about others tbh but thats what I know for sure. But yeah! Maybe at first they'd have a "Bad Idea" (from Waitress) moment, tho that song also could fit an ""afair"" in LimL from what ive talked with a friend, but yeah. They're destined to die anyways, since the finale means only one can win, and that winner is neither of them, but they'll meet in the next game. Tilly next time. Or, Tilly death does them part...

... except not, cause not even death can do that, cause they are able to find eachother in every single universe, no matter the circumstances, even if their situation isnt ideal in some, they're always together, in one way or another. step by step very simple neocities start tutorial based off of how i do it :] (might be wrong. who knows) this is long because i put incremental screenshots so ..my bad . . . @terrencetich​ this is what i said id put together!

sooooo to edit a page . . when you first make a neocities page, it looks like this:

i circled the index.html file in red, and the style.css in blue. theyre the most important things here right now. if you go to edit index.html, this page shows:

this is the html side of your page, and has some pre-loaded stuff on it that shows how some html tags work, like <p>, <h1>, <ul>, and <li>, as well as how to add an image and hyperlinks to your page. if you click on the “view” button at the top right, it’ll show you how the page looks on the web.

i’m going to delete everything from that first <h1> to the last </p>, which is what i put the blue rectangle around, so that i can put my own stuff in. everything between <head> and </head> is fine to leave, and is important for formatting dont worry about it. now the code looks like this:

pretty bare, but my text is there! time to look at style.css.

(one note i want to make is that it’s good form to put your .css files into their own folder labeled “css,” but you dont NEED to for this right now. also, moving things between folders on neocities isnt click-and-drag, so that detail can be left for later if its confusing)

our html file is what determines our page’s content, and the css file determines how it’s styled. right now, the only element defined here is the body of the page, which defines everything. if you add style “rule” to the body and background, it’ll apply across the page. css is cascading like that, where you can imagine your elements as things nested within each other. if we change the background-color from “white” to any hex code, then the entire page will change to that color.

like this ^. theres a lot of ways you can alter your site’s body, but for now lets add a “div” element for the text to live in. divs are the main game with this... you can add one to your style.css like this:

i used “divname” as an example, but you can put something else. just remember to put a . before the name, and { }. now, go back to index.html and put the text content inside of the new div! this is done by doing:

<div class=“divname”> my own stuff </div>

<div lets it know you want a div, class=“divname”> selects the specific div you want, since there’s usually multiple to choose from, ‘my own stuff’ is whatever content you put inside the div (you can put other divs, even), and the </div> endtag is the last slice of bread that closes the div. (endtags are important always make sure you have good endtags)

this wont make any changes until you add some style rules. i want my text to be in front of a white background, so i’ll add “background-color: white” to .divname.

the semicolon is important for letting it know youre done with that line, also. semicolon = important! now it has a white background. it spans the whole page, since there’s no width set. to set the width, add “width: 500px;” to the line below the last one that was added.

except i just said 500px as a placeholder.  try a few sizes. you dont have to put a number, though -- “fit-content” is a property that will fit the width of your div to the size of the content inside of it. if i change 500px to fit-content, my page changes to this:

neater! the text doesn’t have a lot of room to breathe, though, so lets add some padding.

and maybe i want the font size to be bigger, but i dont want to define the font size for the entire page, so i’ll define font-size in the divname div, but not the body --

sweet, its still in the corner of the page, though. what can help change that is adding set margins to the div. if i add “margin: auto;” the div will be centered horizontally, but not vertically:

to position it vertically, “margin-top” can be added and individually tweaked.

it made it 200px as an example, but you can do whatever. this is sort of the whole gist - making divs, adding content, and defining the style of the div until it looks like how you want.

the things i usually add are: width, max width, height, max height, margin (margin-left, margin-right, margin-top, margin-bottom), padding (padding-left, etc etc),  outline, border, color (sets the color of the text), background-color, background-image,  so on and so on.... 

but dont worry about these until it comes up! focus on “what do i want this to look like?” and gradually tweak until it fits that. look stuff up and use w3 schools and sadgrl! i just realized i have more to say about file organization. ill make a different post for that when im less tired. i hope this made sense! send an ask or dm if you want specific help....though like i said im just a beginner guy so ^--^ v
