Any longtime Animaniacs fans here remember that long gap between 2007-2013 where we just waited for Warner Bros to release the remainder of the series (volume 4) on DVD?

Release: December 1, 1990
Lyrics:
I want to show you the picture I drew
When I was on the phone talking to you
I made a heart and I colored it red
'Cause I want you here on my side of the bed
I've been dreaming since I was born
And in my dreams, I see eyes like yours
I'll be the pillow where you lay your head, lay your head
If you'll come and sleep on my side of the bed
Lay down
The sheets are white like the moon, my love
Dream with me in my room
Lay down
- Instrumental -
Lay down
The sheets are white like the moon, my love
Dream with me in my room
Lay down
I know you hurt, I feel the pain
Take my hand and come out of the rain
We all need to be comforted
Sha-la-la-la-la
You can get yours on my side of the bed
On my side of the bed
Lay down on my side of the bed
Come lay down
Tra-la-la-la-la
Lay down
(Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh)
Lay down
Sha-la-la-la-la
(I made a heart)
Sha-la-la-la-la
(I colored it red)
Lay down

Billy Steinberg / Tom Kelly / Susanna Hoffs
SongFacts:
"My Side of the Bett" is a song by the American singer Susanna Hoffs, who was published in 1990 as a lead -single from her debut -solo album when they are a boy. It was written by Hoffs, Tom Kelly and Billy Steinberg and produced by David Kahne. "My side of the bed" reached No. 30 on the Billboard Hot 100, her single with the highest player.
ArtistFacts:
Susanna Hoffs is the daughter of the screenwriter and director Tamar Simon-Hoffs.
She had her first film role in 1978 in the musical Stony Island of Andrew Davis, to whom her mother wrote the script. Even after that, she was still in smaller film roles such as B. The Allnighter (1987).
She started her music career in 1981 as a singer and guitarist of the music group The Bangles. After the initially modest success of the first album All Over the Place (1984), the group should bring it to international success with the album Different Light and titles such as Manic Monday, Walk Like to Egyptian and Eternal Flame.
After the dissolution of the Bangles in autumn 1989, Susanna Hoffs started a solo career.
At the beginning of 1991 the album when you'Re A Boy was released, of which the first single My Side of the Bed was best able to prevail. However, all other publications remained behind the expectations.
In 1993 she married the film producer and director Jay Roach, with whom she had two sons (* 1995, 1998).
In the fall of 1996 the second album, which was simply called Susanna Hoffs, was released, but was also unable to build on the success of the group phase.
Since the group was reunited in 1999, Susanna Hoffs has released two new albums with the Bangles and regularly plays concerts with the group.
In April 2006, Hoffs published the album under the covers Vol. 1, which contains a selection of personal favorite songs from the 1960s. In July 2009, this collaboration with songs from the 1970s followed on the album under the covers Vol. 2.
Hoffs ’solo album Someday was released in summer 2012, which in turn forms a musical starting point for the music of the 1960s. In November 2013, the third joint album with Matthew Sweet came onto the market. It bears the title under the covers Vol. 3 and contains cover versions of pieces from the 1980s.
On the occasion of the Grammy Awards 2020, a tribute concert for Prince under the motto "Let's Go Crazy: The Grammy Salute to Prince" took place on January 28, 2020 in the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, in which Hoffs with Chris Martin den Song Manic Monday sang. The concert was broadcast on April 21, 2020, the fourth day of the Death of Prince.

Every week in June, CBS News Detroit is highlighting a different part of Detroit's Black music scene and showcasing the role that Detroit played in shaping generations of performers and its impact on broader American culture.
This week, Amyre Makupson, our Executive Producer Impacting Communities, sits down with Detroit hip-hop pioneers Slum Village.
Slum Village is known for their lyricism and underground sound. Today, the group is all about keeping their legacy alive.
T3 is the sole remaining original member.
Slum Village has had many members throughout its 20 years. Before it was Slum Village, it was known as Ssenepod - dopeness spelled backward - and the group consisted of Dilla, T3, Que D, Baatin and Wajeed. After Ssenepod broke up, then came Slum Village in 1996, formed by J Dilla, Baatin and T3.
In 1998, they landed their first record deal with Barak/AM Records. From there, they released albums such as "Fan-Tas-Tic (Vol. 1)" and "Fantastic (Vol. 2)."
When J Dilla left the group in 2001 to focus on his solo career, Elzhi stepped in and became a part of popular albums such as "Trinity (Past, Present and Future)" and "Detroit Dell (A Taste of Detroit)," which included the hit single "Selfish" and featured Kanye West and John Legend.
Today, T3 is joined by producer Young RJ., who joined the lineup in 2012 after producing for the group since 2001. J Dilla died in 2006 of cardiac arrest, and Baatin, who left in 2003 and rejoined in 2008, died in 2009.
With two decades' worth of music behind them, Slum Village considers its albums influential to the younger generation today.
The group was recently named one of Billboard's 50 Greatest Rap Groups of All Time. Slum Village is releasing a new shoe collaboration with Puma in summer 2023 and is currently shooting a self-produced docuseries.

KOKIA in flashback - 2006
The year of 2006 is an exciting one for KOKIA. She has gone abroad to perform before, but now she makes it all the way to Europe for concerts in Paris, France and represents Japan at MIDEM 2006, the World Music Market, in Cannes. Her new album aigakikoeru ('listen for the love') even gets a French/European release in November, ahead of the Japanese release next year and with an exclusive track. It is not her first album this year; she has enough songs to compile her first best of-album, resulting in the release of Pearl and Jewel, collecting her best of songs and promotional videos respectively.
Although KOKIA has been creating music for games and (animated) series and movies since the beginning of her career, the start of 2006 puts the spotlight on her with the single Ai no melody/chouwa oto ('melody of love/sound of harmony'), the opening and ending song for the movie Origin: Spirits of the Past (Giniro no kami no Agito in Japanese). Especially Chouwa oto ~with reflection~ turns into a much-requested hit, with KOKIA still regularly performing this song almost 20 years later. It is a new version of Chouwa, the first song on her album trip trip from 2002, which incorporates KOKIA-go ('KOKIA-language') by reversing the syllables of the Japanese lyrics.
And last but most definitely not least, 2006 is the year KOKIA becomes independent. In May, she decides to start her own private office, anco&co, which she runs to this day, in order to more freely express herself as an artist rather than being tied to the Japanese music scene. Aigakikoeru is her first release after her independence.
She starts her 47 Stories concerts this year, intending to visit all 47 prefectures of Japan, although in the end doesn't manage to get to all 47.

Timelines in Paradise
I spent the last few days working out the timeline for Strangers in Paradise and if I had a printer it would’ve been a full on Pepe Silvia moment. There is never a solid date given and the only ages that are really mentioned are Francine’s.
Katchoo is the only birth year given, 1976. She met Emma when she was 17, so that would be 1992. The year before the series was printed.
Francine says she’s 26 in Vol 2 #4. Both Katchoo and her were in the same grade in high school, so she was born 75~76 since she’s a little older. Which would set the date at the future of 2002, from it’s 1994 release date.
Meaning both were 25 in Vol 1 and 15 during the Strangers in Paradise play which was 10 years before the start of the series, 1991. Vol 1 being set in 2001
In Vol 3 #69, Francine says she’s 28, putting the in comic year at 2004, starting to match up the the release, being January 1, 2004 for said issue.
David is 19 22 at the start of the story, I don’t remember where I read it, but I put it my notes and forgot to list the source. Anyway, that would put his DOB around 1982 at .See Edit.
That sets the time between Vol 1 #1 and Vol 3 #69 at 3 years.
Vol1 - 2001 - Katchoo and Francine (25) David(22)
Vol2 - 2002 - Katchoo and Francine (26) David(23)
Vol3 - 2003 to 2006 - Katchoo  and Francine (27-30) David(24-27)
Strangers in Paradise XXV and Five Years are set back to back and Ashley and Koo are probably 5-6 years old setting those two series in 2011. Putting Katchoo and Francine at 35 years old. Those comics were released between 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 respectively. It has a date listed for the following years as March 4th 201*,a thumb obscuring the last digit.
And now the adjacent stuff. Mostly speculative.
The end of Echo is referenced in XXV as if it had happened recently so probably in 2010
Samantha appears in XXV, her hair having grown a little from the End of Motor Girl, so at least it was only a month or two prior.
When Katchoo visits the town of Manson from Rachel Rising it’s winter again and since little has changed except for the grave markers it’s probably the following winter
I don’t know when Serial is set because Zoe hasn’t aged but they have smartphones. But it takes place after Rachel Rising.
And if you’re wondering, in 2022, Francine and Katchoo are 46, and their kids are 15.
Also, yes, you should read all these comics.
January of next year will be the 30th anniversary of issue 1.
EDIT: Not 5 minutes after posting this I got to the Las Vegas marriage certificate. Katchoo’s DOB November 19 1976. David’s DOB is January 16 1979. I wish I could find where I read David being 19, because he’d’ve been 22. I’ll go fix that.
EDIT 2: Vol3 #83 is 2006, Francine says she is 30. Bump the timeline forward a bit.

Life and career
1983–2006: Childhood and early career
Mika was born in Beirut, the third of five children (three sisters Yasmine, Paloma and Zuleika and one brother Fortuné), to an American-born Lebanese mother and an Israeli-born American father, Mary Joan "Joannie" (née Mouakad, daughter of John Mouakad and Odette Farah) and Michael Holbrook Penniman (son of William Frederick Penniman III and Dorothy Dyar). His father was a banker[7][11] and was born in Jerusalem, where his own father – Mika's paternal grandfather William Frederick Penniman III – was a diplomat.[11][12] Mika's maternal grandfather John Mouakad was Syrian (from Damascus).[13][14]
When Mika was a year old, his family was forced to leave war-torn Lebanon and moved to Paris, France.[12][15] The first piano piece he learned to play was "Les Champs-Élysées", by Joe Dassin.[12] At the age of 7, he wrote his first song, a piano instrumental called "Angry", which he describes as "awful".[7] The family moved to London when he was 9 years old. There, he attended the Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle, where he experienced severe bullying. He also had problems with dyslexia. In response to these experiences Mika was home-schooled by his mother at the age of 12, for six to eight months.[7] He then attended St Philip's School in Kensington, where he was the head of the Schola Cantorum (the St. Philip's Choir). Later he attended Westminster School and the Royal College of Music, which he left to record his first album at Casablanca Records.[16] As a child Mika was trained by Alla Ardakov (Ablaberdyeva), a Russian opera professional.
Mika's first single was a limited 7"/download release called "Relax, Take It Easy" (2006). It was play-listed by UK's BBC Radio 1 and was made Record of the Week by DJ Scott Mills. The Dodgy Holiday EP also became available for download. The song "Billy Brown" was available for free download for a week from the iTunes Store. A song titled 'Over-rated', which was recorded in 2004, was "unofficially" released online. His debut radio appearance was on Dermot O'Leary's BBC Radio 2 show in September 2006.

The Hot Boys (often styled as Hot Boy$) are an American hip hop group formed in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1997. The group is made up of B.G., Lil Wayne, Juvenile and Turk.
The Hot Boys formed in the summer of 1997 with original members B.G., Lil Wayne, Juvenile, Turk and Birdman's nephew Bulletproof AKA Lil Derrick. Lil Derrick left the group shortly after recording the first album and was killed in 2002.
The Hot Boys made their first official appearance together on B.G.'s third studio album, It's All on U, Vol. 1. They soon released their debut album, titled Get It How U Live!, which sold over 300,000 copies, primarily in New Orleans. The album charted nationally as well at 37 on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart. In 1998, Ca$h Money agreed to a $30 million pressing and distribution deal with Universal Records. This led to releases such as Juvenile's 400 Degreez, which was certified 4× Platinum in America. The Hot Boys made numerous appearances on many of the albums' tracks such as, "Back That Azz Up" featuring Lil Wayne and Mannie Fresh, and "Ha", where the Hot Boys were featured in the music video and the remix. The Hot Boys appeared on both B.G. and Lil Wayne's albums in 1999, Chopper City In The Ghetto, by B.G., and, Tha Block Is Hot , by Lil Wayne Both albums were certified Platinum. The group also released singles such as, "Cash Money Is An Army" and "Bling Bling" by B.G., "Tha Block Is Hot" and "Respect Us" by Lil Wayne, and "U Understand" and "I Got That Fire" by Juvenile.
On July 27, 1999, The Hot Boys released their second major label studio album, Guerrilla Warfare, which reached No. 1 on the Billboard magazine Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and No. 5 on the Billboard 200. It featured two charting singles, "We On Fire" and "I Need A Hot Girl". "I Need a Hot Girl" peaked at No. 65 on the Billboard Hot 100. The album also had contributions from the Big Tymers, Baby and Mannie Fresh. Like with the group's previous album, Mannie Fresh produced every track.
Tumblr media
By 2003 B.G., Turk, and Juvenile had all departed from Cash Money for financial issues, leaving Lil Wayne as the group's only member still with the label. Cash Money still managed to release the group's final album together, Let 'Em Burn, composed of songs the group recorded between 1998 and 2000. The Hot Boys went on to have solo recording careers with varying degrees of success. Lil Wayne became the most prolific Hot Boy, with all of his albums going at least Gold in America and amassing a large fan base which grew with the development of his boutique label, Young Money. Turk was sentenced to 14 years imprisonment in 2006 and was released in October 2012. Juvenile and B.G. initially showed resentment to Cash Money but over time settled their disputes and disagreements with the label.
Following the group's disbandment in 2001, the group remained on hiatus until 2009, when Lil Wayne brought out Juvenile and B.G. at one of his shows on the I Am Music Tour in New Orleans. Lil Wayne had been reportedly trying to spearhead a Hot Boys reunion beginning in 2008, with the support of the other group members. However, by 2012, only two songs featuring Lil Wayne, Juvenile, and B.G. materialized: "Ya Heard Me" from B.G.'s 2009 album Too Hood 2 Be Hollywood and the exclusive "If I Ain't a Hot Boy". Although Turk was released from prison in 2012, talks of a reunion were quelled when B.G. was arrested for weapons possession in 2009 and subsequently sentenced to 14 years in federal prison for gun possession and witness tampering in 2012. In December 2012, Turk released a song called "Zip It" featuring Lil Wayne on his SoundCloud account.
A few weeks later, a remix was released with Juvenile featured on the last verse. In February 2013, a version with all four members of the group was released, with B.G. recording his verse over the phone from prison. In 2013, The Hot Boys (minus B.G.) appeared in the video of 2 Chainz's song "Used 2", whose lyrics are reminiscent of Juvenile's "Back That Azz Up". "Used 2" was produced by Mannie Fresh, who also appears in the video. The Hot Boys (without B.G.) performed with Mannie Fresh during Lil Wayne's Lil WeezyAna Fest in August 2015. Lil Wayne, Juvenile, and The Big Tymers reunited on a song called "Hate" in 2016.

Gangsta Boo Dead at 43, Believed to be Drug Overdose
Memphis legend Gangsta Boo tragically died on Sunday (Jan 1) just after celebrating New Years' Eve in her hometown. A Stunning Update Gangsta Boo, real name Lola Mitchell, was a standout member of Three 6 Mafia and a pioneer in female rap. The 43-year-old was found dead on her front porch around 4 pm, Jan 1. Sources close to Gangsta Boo personally are now claiming the cause of death to be drug-related. An update from TMZ yesterday is only adding to the talk of an overdose. According to their report, Mitchell was attending a NYE concert with her brother the previous night. At some point, the man overdosed and was rushed to the hospital. Luckily her sibling recovered, but the same can’t be said for Gangsta Boo. It appears the New Years' celebration continued at Boo's home, where she eventually suffered from some kind of medical emergency. Sources in contact with TMZ insist that narcotics were found on her upon police arrival. In addition to this, fentanyl is believed to be a factor in her sudden passing. Nonetheless, an official autopsy has yet to be conducted or released at this time. Showing Respect to Gangsta Boo The ‘Throw It Up’ artist was confirmed dead by her friend and former labelmate DJ Paul on Instagram. The Three 6 Mafia alumni posted a captionless photo of Boo with an outpouring of rap industry icons showing love in the comments. Rap heavyweights like Ludacris, Lil Jon, Big Boi, and Paul Wall left their condolences for one of the brightest stars to come out of Memphis.   View this post on Instagram   A post shared by DJ Paul K.O.M. Three 6 Mafia (@djpaulkom) Gangsta Boo is primarily known for being one of the only female members of Three 6 Mafia. The group emerged during a time when female rappers were already few and far in between. Despite this,  she always held her own off and on the track. Gangsta Boo, along with DJ Paul, Juicy J, La Chat, Project Pat, Crunchy Black, and several others, formed Three 6 Mafia in the early '90s and quickly began gaining notoriety throughout the south with their debut album Mystic Stylez. Overnight this turned to national acclaim with the group's breakout hit 'Tear Da Club Up' and 'Late Night Tip'. All of this culminated in a groundbreaking achievement in 2006 when Three 6 Mafia became the first hip-hop group to win the Academy Award for Best Original Song with ‘It's Hard out Here for a Pimp’. That record, and the hit movie Hustle n Flow from which it originated, helped bring the group into a huge spotlight. An Artist All Her Own Of course, Gangsta Boo's legacy extends outside of Three 6 Mafia. Before leaving the group in the early 2000s, her solo music had already gained praise and respect from her peers. Namely, ‘Where Dem Dollas at’, ‘Love Don’t Live’, and ‘Nasty Trick’ effectively made Boo one to watch out for amongst her male peers. She continued to drop albums throughout the 2000s and into the 2010s, including Enquiring Minds Il - The Soap Opera, 4 da Hood, Witch, and Underground Cassette Tape Music, Vol. 1 and 2. During all this, Boo racked up countless features with rap's biggest names like Outkast, TI, and Gucci Mane. Most often, she would collaborate with Killer Mike of Run The Jewels and close friend La Chat. Gangsta Boo never stopped making music, right up until her death. Just last year she collaborated with Glorilla and Latto on ‘FTCU’ and perfectly matched both the southern hitmakers' energy. And that’s no coincidence. The confidence, boldness, and rough flow coined by Gangsta Boo and other Memphis rappers in the 90s served as a massive inspiration for the female artists that followed. With so many successful female MCs recently coming from down south, Megan Thee Stallion, Latto, Glorilla, and Flo Milli just to name a few, it’s safe to say Gangsta Boos's legacy will always carry on. Not to mention remaining members of Three 6 Mafia like La Chat, Juicy J and DJ Paul using social media to carry a torch for their late friend. Support and give condolences below. https://twitter.com/therealjuicyj/status/1609744827310301186?s=46&t=uW6cpJMZNiDve1AdPsRJEg https://twitter.com/dareallachat/status/1609761093626527744?cxt=HHwWgIDU7fHLgtcsAAAA Dreema Carrington Read the full article
