there’s something so beautiful about how andrew’s first sober smile is for kevin and not neil? it’s “slow” and “cold” but it shows how proud he is of kevin (and like he says, how interesting things are about to be)

“you make me better at this” it’s almost as if every moment that connects carmy, sydney, and their cooking is one where he’s realizing his relationship with food is really fucked. before her he never really openly acknowledged the fact that until he died the reason he kept cooking and was so hellbent on it was to spite mikey, not because any part of it made him happy, made him terribly miserable actually. “you make me better at this” it’s almost as if when sydney lights up with a new idea he does too, in his own way, starts slowly seeing the culinary world through her earnest eyes. “you make me better at this” and he says this before his depressing diatribe in the walk-in because sydney’s love of food, her love of hospitality is something he’s now openly in admiration of, something he openly aspires to, but seems to think he himself doesn’t deserve. the world syd sees in cooking isn’t a world he thinks he belongs in. the world sydney saw him in when he cooked the best meal of her life is a world he doesn’t even recognize. “you make me better at this” in the short time since he’s met her sydney makes carmen want to love this for the first time the way she does, he just doesn’t know how yet

So maybe it's all the Megatron/Orion fics I've read but I thought this movie would have them first meet when Megatron is already the rising revolutionary gladiator star. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but do they usually meet this young? Because I was fully prepared for middle aged robots falling in love, discussing and debating philosophy and strategies (low-key flirting), and fathering the revolution together, you know until the great Senate Divorce in which I would have my heart broken into a tiny million pieces watching this iconic married-but-doesn't-know-they-are couple irrevocably split apart and become bitter enemies.

Yoichi would definitely have the other users do a group costume for Halloween.
There's only so many group costumes for 9 people though, so they did a Wizard of Oz theme:
Yoichi is Glinda the Good Witch. He enjoys bopping people with the wand.
Second said he didn't care, so Yoichi made him dress up as the Wicked Witch of the West. Look who cares now. Too late. He refused to put on the makeup, but the others tried anyway, so he just has random streaks of green paint on his face.
Third saw what happened to Second and chose to be the Wizard of Oz, since it didn't look to bad. It is also a multi-layered joke that not even he fully gets.
Hikage is the Cowardly Lion. Banjo forced the costume on him, but it was actually really comfortable and he uses it to sleep.
Banjo is the Tin Man. No reason for it, he just thought the costume looked cool.
En was voted to be Toto since he's the shortest. He then went feral and bit Banjo for laughing, further convincing everyone they made the right choice.
Nana is a flying monkey. Everyone was surprised she picked it and was prepared to laugh at her, but she pulled it off really well. She also kept grabbing people and floating them up, then dropping them (not high enough to hurt).
Toshinori is the scarecrow. I think we all know why. Don't worry, he had a lot of fun, and as a bonus, no one recognized him. No one was scared of his face either since they assumed it was part of the costume, so he enjoyed being able to make children smile instead of flinch away in fear.
And finally, Izuku is Dorothy. Yoichi had him do it because he's clearly MC material. "Just ignore him," says Second. That, and he already has the red shoes.

Why did she just randomly take Paris and glitch OFF the new cds too I don't understand 😭 lmao
honestly, my first reaction is just like. why are we cheapening the MUSIC that's the whole point. that's why we tolerate the rest of it. why are you, as one of the world's biggest recording artists, playing with the album like it's a mutable construction of silly putty that's not real and it's just sillygoofy to keep adding nonsense and taking things away and rerecording and and and......... the rerecordings were a mistake <3333 we need a reputation 2 so bad like she needs to go dark for 18 months then drop an impeccable record that she leaves completely alone, tours, then moves on. i can't DOOOOO this.

Finnish writing problems, pronoun edition.
So, trying to write RP posts on our DnD group's in-character chat with the big blue nerd.
Using the word "hän" (he/she/singular they) feels overly formal and kinda awkwardly pompous among just normal sounding narration*, as that's mostly used in written language. Using "se" (it) as is the way in spoken Finnish feels weird as well, because this is text and not speech, and the character isn't human while still being a person, so it's kinda double headscratcher. Using the character's race is special brand of awkward, as dragonborn translated to Finnih is lohikäärmesyntyinen which is just So Dang Many Syllables long. In the end I keep cycling through just the character's name (Verna), class ("velho" as in wizard) and "tämä" (this)
Kinda feels like playing as a kid and using tämä/se/tuo (this/it/that) as kinda substitute pronouns for I/you/he-she-they-it speaking kinda past one's self and about the characters. Don't even know if English does that too, I just find it kinda fascinating to think about.
* I have a habit of typing my texts as in spoken Finnish instead of the proper book language, but those two are pretty different dialects anyway and the more I think about mixing the two the weirder it gets.

a truly terrible idea has latched hold of my gremlin brain which is, buck and tommy do break up so that buck can pursue eddie because either tommy thinks buck is in love with eddie or buck feels like he should be with eddie because everyone else keeps suggesting there's something more there BUT buck/eddie getting together changes their dynamic so much that neither of them are enjoying themselves (and they're worrying about losing what made their friendship so special because of all the changes to the dynamic) AND buck and tommy keep hooking up [air quotes] platonically (with tommy stumbling into inconvenient feelings and pining pathetically for buck while fucking him) while buck struggles to sort out intense feelings toward eddie (which obviously have to be romantic of course) vs. his calm, more settled feelings toward tommy (they're not as intense as his feelings about eddie so they can't possibly be romantic) blah blah long story slightly less long but buck realizes he's been in love with tommy the whole time and was having trouble separating strong but platonic feelings for eddie from his romantic feelings toward tommy and then tommy's like "newsflash asshole i've been in love with you the whole goddamn time"
i'll never write it because it's irredeemably stupid and i value my peace but it IS sitting in my hindbrain tormenting me right now
