Taehyun fluff

Sana had taken her seat at the front of the class beside her best friends, Hyuna and May. Her friends handed her a snack they had been raving about all week from the vending machine.
Popping one of the cookie balls in her mouth she looks at the schedule on the board. It seemed as per usual, except there was a long work period in the part of the day.
“They are good,” Sana says, pleasing her friends with her answer.
“Well I guess this could be a new weekly treat for us!” May says stealing the snack bag from Sana, taking half the contents of the bag in her hand. Sana rolls her eyes and turns to her friend Hyuna who was doodling in her own world.
“Hey Earth To Hyuna!” Sana says, tapping her pen down near her page. She successfully gets her friends' attention.
“What project are we working on today?” Sana asks, worried she forgot one.
“Probably a new one, and looks like it is in pairs.” She says pointing to the numbers going down the chalkboard, 13, the exact split of the class.
“Damn it, I’m the one left out this time aren’t I?” Sana asks exasperated.
“Yes you are, sucks to suck doesn’t it Sana” May happily calls from her other side.
“Hey don’t use my sayings against me!” She cries back with a pouty face. May brings her hand up and pats her chin.
“I’m sorry my baby.” She says bringing a pout to her own face. Rolling her eyes she then slouches in her chair, upset over having to find a new partner.
It normally meant she would have to work with one of the dumb kids, or the super shy kids, which never made a good duo for her since she already was shy.
The only other people she would be willing to work with are Huening Kai and Taehyun. Although Taehyun is pushing it, due to her big fat crush on him. Huening Kai would definitely be the better of the two. But that wasn’t going to happen, the two were always a pair. The two are seen together all the time, probably due to them both being in a boy group.
The first half of the day goes by without any hitches. But now it is the the fourth quarter of the day Sana is getting nervous about her partner. She never normally liked working with other people, but she knew that it wasn’t an option in this class since the teacher was very strict about it.
Her friends trade places so Sana is on the far right, and May is in the middle. This allows the two to be first to pick. The teacher had always done the same picking process, starting from the first desk she moves like a snake asking for your partner. This is probably why most of the shy people sat in the very back left corner. If it weren’t for her friends Sana would be sitting with them too.
“Well students, I will explain the new project and then you will get all paired up.” The teacher says gaining the attention of the class. “You are to make a presentation about a pop culture icon, and explain the effects they had on their industry, their culture, and any ideas or causes they believe in. A full description and outline will be found online. This will be due next week on Friday.” She ends her speech and moves to the chalkboard, calling out the first student's name.
The project seems easy enough, there are plenty of options, and plenty that you knew a lot about. You had no idea who would be your partner so you planned on passing once it got to you.
“Hyuna and I are a pair,” May calls out after her name is called. The teacher writes their names and moves on to Huening Kai who sits directly behind you all along with Taehyun.
“Huening Kai?” The teacher yells out.
“Han and I are a pair,” he calls out to the teacher. Sana’s head spins around in confusion to Huening Kai, not taking the chance to look at Taehyun.
From beside Sana the two girls giggle trying not to look at her. “What’s so funny?” Sana asks, laying her down on her desk looking at her friends' faces.
“Nothing, just thank us later, and thank Huening as well.” Hyuna says winking at Sana.
“What are you talking about?” She asks, confused.
“Taehyun?” The teacher calls out. His face is red as he gets ready to reply.
“Ah I’m pairing up with Sana” he says, Sana head turns around this time going to Taehyun. His face was tomato red, which is the colour Sana’s would soon be.
“Your welcome” Hyuna and May say as Sana turns back and sets her head on the desk.
“I hate both of you” she says annoyed, yet almost thankful, not that she’d let her friends know that.
“You won’t be saying that when you start snogging next week” Hyuna replies quietly.
“Two things, I won’t be snogging him, and you need to stop reading Harry Potter, who says snogging!” Sana whisper yells over to her.
“Oh shove off” Hyuna says successfully making them all laugh.
Not even ten minutes later Sana is standing beside Taehyun in the hallway off to the library. Both silent as they walk together. As they enter the library Taehyun makes for the computers, but stops as he feels an arm grab his upper arm.
He softly turns to loon at her, her hand is pointing to a part of the library he’d never ventured. “It quiet back there and I have a laptop we can use instead” she says pulling his arm lightly towards the direction where she wants to go.
Normally that spot was occupied by the trio, but the other two had gone to another part of the library letting Sana know that it’s all for her and Tae. As they pass through shelves of books, he noticed they are in the historical fiction section. The one section that hardly ever gets used, except for history projects, but only when you have to have a book reference.
No one is in the aisles, Sana finds the back corner and let’s go of Taehyun. She sets her bag down, she grabs the shelf that is on wheels and moves it up. She moves her arm in a way that tells him to go inside. Behind the last tall book shelf there is a rather larger gap. There were cushions and some supplies obviously left by the trio from other projects.
“We found this spot two years ago, be glad you’re the fourth person in here.” She says sitting down on the cushion, pulling out her laptop.
“It’s nice back here” he says following along and sitting on a cushion.
“We’ve slowly been bringing things back here to make it better, we’re just trying not to get caught and have it cleared out.” Sana says looking at him.
“They should make this an actual book nook, it’s comforting” he says sliding the cushion over to beside her.
“Yeah that can happen after we graduate, for now this is our spot” she says to him, he smiles at her and holds her gaze. The two hold eye contact for a moment before they both realize what they are doing.
“Ah who would you like to the project on?” He asks her leaning back against the wall.
“Maybe Bangtan, most people will do Western Artists so maybe we can have a project no one else is doing” she says fiddling with her keyboard. “If that is alright with you” she asks meeting his gaze once again.
“Yeah, I could always see if I could ask them a few questions” he says.
“Oh yeah I forgot your from the same company” she says smiling. “How is your group doing right now any way?”
“We’re doing good, We are writing for our bee comeback for next year.” He says with a smile on his face. “I’ll give you a hint on one song, you know new rules?” She nods her head eagerly, “ well I suppose I wrote a sequel to it.” He smiles when he sees her clap her hands in excitement.
“So it’s either, old rules, more rules, broken rules or maybe no rules!” She says happily, “you know new rules is by far my favourite song of yours right?” He nods, though he doesn’t tell her he wanted to make the song for her, since he had always heard her singing it around the school.
By the start of the week they were both done the project, they were just waiting on Bts to send them a blurb for their presentation. Now that they were done they spent the work periods in the nook alone. Often times talking about his group and your dreams.
He couldn’t help his feelings for Sana as she told him about why she wanted to be a teacher. She looked so happy talking about it, which made the smile grow on his face. Their moods seems to be based solely on the others mood.
As Sana finished her story she noticed his genuine smile on his face looking at her. This made her blush and turn away looking at the bookshelf in front of them.
“Why are you looking at me like that?” She asks him without looking at him.
It is now his turn to blush, “i think its sweet how passionate you are about it, it makes me smile” he says putting his hand on her knee.
This makes her turn back to him, her eyes meet his. They both slowly start leaning in without thinking. As they close in her eyes flutter closed as she waits for impact. He takes this as a chance to move his body to get a better angle, his right arm is holding him against the wall, his left hand going to the back of her head.
Their lips hardly touch, for a couple seconds they hover over each others lips. Gaining confidence Taehyun moves his face forward enough for your lips to be fully planted against each other.
Slowly their lips move together into a kiss, an awkward one since both of them have a big smile on their face. Once their smiles tame down they continue softly kissing in the back of the library.
Breaking apart they look each other in the eyes, Sana breaks into a fit giggles seeing his silly smile on his face.
“I know I should take you out dates before I ask you this, but would you like to be my girlfriend?” He asks moving his hand from the back of her head and down to her cheek.
She nods and moves in to peck his lips, holding it for a moment before moving back. “Yes, I’d like to be your girlfriend Tae” she says putting her head onto his shoulder. His head moves and rests on hers.
“Oh my god they were snogging May!” Hyuna’s voice comes from the other side of the bookshelf. Huening Kai, Hyuna, and May, all pop up from the ground and move to the moveable shelf, peering over to see the two. The couple blushes, she hides her face in his chest as he puts his face into her hair.
“They’re so cute!” They all say high fiving each other.

there’s a $14 hole in my wallet and I blame western artists...
Context: I just blindly bought Map of the Soul: 7 and sat through the most heartbreaking 40 minutes of my entire existence as a BTS fan.
Author’s Note: Hi guys. I apologize, but this is not a new chapter of Magic Shop. This is simply a rant containing my opinions and criticisms of BTS’s newest album Map of the Soul: 7. You are free to scroll past. I don’t blame you. But please, do not message me to argue and harass me. We can have a conversation, and I can answer questions if you have any. Please, don’t be a butt. With that out of the way...
let’s get down to business.
To put it simply, I hated a majority of this new album. I bought the album without listening to the previews of the tracks (my biggest mistake), and decided to play straight through the album with no breaks for a raw first impression of the musicality of this album. No, I have not gone through the lyrics, and will not for a little while.
Because I cannot get over what I just went through.
This album has the most conflicting genres I have ever heard. Keep in mind, I did not read the translations, so my initial understanding of the song is not entirely correct.
But can someone tell me why we go from (what sounds like) diss tracks, to anime openings, to ballads, to upbeat pop in such an abrupt amount of time?
I feel like I have whiplash from how many turns this album took. I thought I knew where this album was going when I watched Shadow and Black Swan, but then Ego came out. Which wasn’t too much to swallow, but it was still odd.
And then ON came out.
Let me tell you about just one of my issues with ON. The most obvious one that almost everyone has been talking about is the excessive use of auto tune. I can’t tell what’s worse: the auto tune or the fact that I can’t imagine the song without auto tune. It almost feels as if the song was produced with auto tune being the only thing in mind. And this isn’t tasteful auto tune. It isn’t used as an affect. It drowns out the whole song! And I can’t tell if this was just a stylistic choice or if it was just a complete lack of trust in BTS’s ability. I doubt it was the latter, but I can’t say for sure.
The performance for ON is fairly enjoyable, visually. I’ve read a few people are unhappy with the distribution of the dance between the members, but I see it as a change in pace. It may be a good or bad change, but it’s change nonetheless. Yes, j-hope and Jimin are amazing dancers, but you can’t discredit all the other members just because you love j-hope’s and Jimin’s dancing more. Yes, they are definitely the better dancers of the group, but the others still work hard to perform the same dances. You can see the effort everyone put in to making this performance.
V, RM, and Jin stood out the most to me in this sense. I commemorate their improvements and hope they continue to work hard.
So this leads up to the album. I’m only going to comment on the tracks that stood out to me the most, cause there are a lot of songs and a majority of them felt too monotonous for me to really feel any kind of interest in. There’s gonna be a lot of skipping around, so bear with me please.
The most peculiar of the bunch, in my eyes, is Jin’s solo, Moon.
I feel like I just listened to the opening of the second season of a slice of life anime.
Moon is so simple, it hurts. I always make jokes about mainstream music and it’s lack of chord diversity and repetitive patterns (we did this a lot in jazz band), but this track takes the cake. I felt no climax or emotion from this song. This song was safe, and that probably disappoints me the most. Jin’s solos in the past have been so powerful and stunning, that this song just does him dirty.
Shawn Mendes has entered the chat
Filter does well in showcasing a different side to Jimin, but it sounds like Shawn Mendes ghostwrote this song. The guitar with the very prominent slides and shifts just screams Western music.
But I still think that Jimin did very well with this song. He works with his strengths, and the breathlessness in his voice really sells Filter as one of the few replayable songs of the album.
I can fuck with UGH!. It has similar vibes as Ddaeng (땡), but the backtrack isn’t nearly as good. The fall to notes in the backtrack is disturbing when done so prominently and in such a strict, reoccurring pattern, but I can look past it.
The aggressiveness in UGH! is something I can really appreciate. It’s one of the few saving graces for the track. It really reminds me of past rapline tracks, which is maybe why this track seems more fitting to their respective performers than others.
If Inner Child had been slowed down, I could have enjoyed the song just a little more. Taehyung really hits hard with slower songs, and he could have really put more soul into the song if he had the room to do so. Though, I suppose the chorus might not have made any sense as the oscillation might not translate well into a slower tempo. I think the slower tempo would have created a holier (for the lack of a better word) presence and a more delicate and fragile image.
Respect your elders...
...by sticking to your original sound. Respect starts off strong and starts sounding like older BTS tracks, but then auto tune strikes again and Suga is the victim. The rapping sounds like a conversation between the two, but the auto tune ruins the connection Suga and RM build through their interactions and interjections. I also wish that the back track was a little more busy because of how laid back the rap is, but repetitiveness seems to be the concept of this album...
ON felt the need to come back around for round two and dragged Sia into the mess. If they were gonna bother Sia about “collaborating” the least they could have done was actually have all of them record together rather than asking Sia to pretty please sing over this one part of the song. What bothers me more is that they butcher her beautiful voice just for the sake of continuity.
My suggestion for the second version of ON is to create an acoustic version and have someone who is more interested in singing in another language sing with them in the same room.
And this is nothing against Sia, but we’ll come back to that.
The saving grace, Ego. Easily the only track I would have bought, had I known what this album was before I purchased it. Ego is j-hope’s song. There’s no doubt about it. j-hope has such a duality to him, and the contrast between his more serious raps and more upbeat raps is clear as day. Again, the auto tune does him dirty, but I can appreciate the uplifting feel behind both the backtrack and j-hope’s raps.
So what’s the deal with the album itself?
There’s a few things I wanna touch base on. This album has no clear concept musically. It’s all over the place, and it sounds like the whole album is a playlist or like it was put on shuffle. I can’t tell what belongs in the album, and I’ve lost sight of the top and the bottom.
There’s such a heavy Western influence on this whole album that I can almost taste the cheeseburgers drenched in maple syrup.
So a lot of American and Canadian artists and songwriters had a part in creating this, and they’re very proud of the shit they put out. I went through the discography to look up some of the artists that participated and often ended up on their social medias, where a handful happily announced their participation for the whole world to hear.
Whether you look up the songwriters or not, it’s hard to miss the western influence in all of the songs. BTS has had songs influenced by Western music before. It’s just that the modern pop influence isn’t working for this album. But it still makes sense! One of BTS’s biggest markets is in the west, so speak to your audience. Influence is great and all, but domination is not.
The problem with Sia...
I don’t think Sia or BTS did anything wrong. What people sometimes need to be reminded of is that while these people very much love us as their fans, they are still part of a business. A business needs to look out for itself, or else it becomes a charity, and it just can’t function like that.
The collaboration is a business agreement that went sour. I think there should have been more care and work towards getting Sia to sing more parts. Korean, preferably, but English would have worked too. You can’t throw a single recording out on top of the song and call it a collaboration. It’s almost rude. And I really do believe they got her to sing that one line once and just used it again the second time it came around.
It lacks effort. Sia was used. BTS was used.
To summarize, I hated the musicality (or lack there of) in this album. I feel like I had an okay idea of what the over genre of music was going to be, and I feel lied to. It’s all over the place, and there’s nothing natural about their voices because of the overwhelming presence of auto tune. I’m honestly scared to see this all in concert because none of these have overwhelming potential to be something spectacular live. I’m scared to hear their natural and beautiful voices over such harsh music and backtracks.
I wish Western music would just stay out of BTS. I’m not saying I want it to go away, cause I believe there’s some good influence that has been shown. It’s just my disappointment is overwhelming these positive traits.
If you’ve made it this far, thank you for reading my thoughts on Map of the Soul: 7. It means a lot to me that you were interested. If you’d like to chat about the album or have any questions for me, feel free to send me an ask or message me.

MY Kpop Opinions
So, no one ever asked for this but I think it's a good way to end 2018 with expression my ideas and beliefs. Please remember that all of these are my opinions and it's perfectly fine if you don't agree with them. If you really want to, you can leave your ideas or how I'm wrong in the comment section. I don't know if these are popular or unpopular, so I'm not going to put it on.
As we all know, the kpop industry can be very judgemental and harsh. This including, the kpop fanbases that can be even worse when they want to. With this, I really love and appreciate every idol. I understand that to get where they are now is very difficult and all of them work very hard.  Even if you don't stan a group, you shouldn't disrespect them for no reason.
So, let's get started, shall we?
1) BTS deserves all of the hype and recognition they are receiving. I know a lot of people that think that it's a lot and we should give others attention, but I don't agree with this. BTS have worked so hard in order to get to where they're at and they have never taken any shortcuts. Yes, new groups are good but people shouldn't bash BTS for their popularity.
Tumblr media
2) Pentagon deserves better than what they're getting. I really do think that Shine was a good song and it was one of those songs that were going to allow the group to gain more popularity in the future. Then, everything happened with E'dawn and fans got upset and said they were no longer going to stan the group. DON'T LEAVE THE GROUP. The members are still making music and trying to continue and need support.
Tumblr media
3) I really don't think there's anything wrong with preferring one gender over another in kpop. Everyone has their own style and taste in music and there is a difference in males and females music. As long as you aren't being toxic or disrespectful to the other gender, I think it's fine. As long as you're not putting down the other gender just because you prefer one gender.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
4) I will never be able to fully love SM like I do other companies. I just feel like they treat their idols like robots and expect them to be perfect. Nothing breaks my heart more than when I see an idol in their care being disrespected or being mistreated. I think that the whole keeping track of an idols weight and percentage of body fat is fucking ridiculous.
Tumblr media
5) Stop dismissing older groups or putting them down in comparison to newer groups. All of these older groups paved the way for new idols and groups. I really believe that without them, kpop wouldn't be what it is now. You wouldn't see all of these successful groups without them paving the way and being some of the first in the industry.
Tumblr media
6) The over-sexualization of girls in Kpop is repulsive. I think that every culture has their own idea and exposure of girls and that's fine. But in kpop, it's insane. I've seen so many new girl idols being thrown into these outfits that they're completely uncomfortable with and doing dances that they obviously hate. I think that there's a complete difference of confident, for example Hyuna, and uncomfortable.     (These outfits aren't bad compared to others, very cute)
Tumblr media
7) Fan wars are completely useless. Putting down another group just to make your own group doesn't make any sense to me. It's not even going to make your group look better, it's going to make you look completely rude and disrespectful. And most of the time, the fanbases that are fighting don't realize that their groups probably actually get along and hang out.
Tumblr media
(They probably hang out all the time, and I love seeing them together)
8) Mullets look really good on idols. I feel like a lot of idols have gotten mullets and I loved it. Taehyung had a mullet, Jaebum had a mullet, Kai had a mullet, Baekhyun had a mullet, Minghao had a mullet and I LOVED it. Some people hated the mullet trend but honestly, it's a 10/10 from me.
Tumblr media
9) I really miss Jeonghan's long hair. I know he said that he prefers shorter hair because it's easier to keep healthy and neat, but he looked so good with longer hair. I don't even know what to say, but I really miss his long hair.
Tumblr media
10) So I feel like this one is discussed a lot and can offend people, so just let me explain. Momoland. I really do think the members mean well and I'm sure that they are lovely girls, they seem like it. And the point that I'm going to bring up isn't even their fault. Baam and Bboom Bboom sound kinda similar. I'm sorry, I just think they do. It's also really similar to Exids, Are you hungry? And I understand that they were made by the same person so it isn't their fault at all. I just thought it was something to bring up. I really do like the girls and they're doing well and I'm happy for them.
Tumblr media
11) Western artists and Kpop artists really bother me. Sometimes, western artists genuinely like kpop idols. And I love when it's that mutual, respectful relationship so much. However, sometimes western artists only use Kpop artists for fame. It's been happening a lot with BTS recently and it's so bothersome to me. And an example of a mutual relationship is Steve Aoki and BTS. He genuinely likes them for who they are.
Tumblr media
12) Heterosexual idol shipping is...weird. I think it's fine to ship idols in the same group or idols that have some sort of connection with each other. For example, people shipped Hyuna and e'dawn even before they confirmed they were dating and I thought that was fine because they did have relations. However, the ones with idols that never even look at each other are cringy.
*You already know what I mean, I’m not going to put in a thing*
13) SM's relationship with NCT. I really think they should stop adding members to the group when some of the members don't even get lines as it is. It bothers me so much when these hard working idols aren't able to perform and show their talent because the group is so big. Just...SM could you please respect your idols thank you.
Tumblr media
14) Following this one, NCT managers need to chill out. I understand Kpop is strict and has high standards but god. Some of the members can't even smile or laugh without getting snapped at by a manager. I keep seeing these videos where one of the members are having a good time, make eye contact with someone behind the camera and their smile instantly falls. Or being told to stop speaking English. Um...okay.
Tumblr media
15) I really love Got7 and think they're one of the funniest groups. I think that almost all of the kpop groups are really funny and can make me laugh, but Got7 is really something else. They're such crackheads and they are always able to make me laugh. Lullaby was also such a bop, wow.
Tumblr media
I think I just used the same groups over and over, but that’s fine. I really do appreciate every group and I enjoy their music. I hope they all have a good 2019, I hope they stay happy and heathy and have many successes. Please don’t work yourself over one of my silly opinions, at the end of the day, they don’t really matter.
Happy New Year! I hope 2019 is kind to you!

Pls tell us your thoughts on the issue if you’re comfortable! Your voice matters tbh
I've been seeing this issue for days against my will while keeping my distance, and i think i can see the problem.
As many already knew it all started with a Nessa fanart by a JP artist who got harassed by someone, claiming they made her too light. And since then English-speaking pokemon fandom on twitter & tumblr (from what I've seen) have started arguing whether she's actually whitewashed or not. It became 'what colour is the dress' v.2 because nobody can come to an agreement, they're divided into 2 main camps: A) those who think she is whitewashed and B) those who doesn't think she is whitewashed.
From the trend i saw, A say she's whitewashed and you should stay near the official colour regardless of lighting or style. Meanwhile, B believes that lighter skin is acceptable as long as the character still look dark and not drastically changing race to white (unlike the provocative whitewashing resulting from this incident)
And the thing is nobody agrees what constitutes as whitewashing, not even the black/poc/dark skinned people who cited their personal experiences with their skin colours, they're in both camps. It quickly devolved into people brushing off those that disagree with them as immature/stupid/racist. Both sides are stuck in a back and forth argument.
It all makes me sad because i see where both sides are coming from, but nobody wants to listen to the other and in the end there is no foreseeable progress or even conclusion to this issue.
Going back to the original issue where a JP artist is harassed for drawing Nessa lighter, i understand the main concern is people want good dark skin representation, but this was not communicated in a good way to JP people. The dude harassing was being especially rude, imagine a stranger on the internet who don't even speak your language demanding you to edit your work in an angry manner and doing this continuously, and when you defend yourself it gained much attention and everybody on the internet also jumped on it? While not getting why is it such a big problem? It probably read as the dude being high and mighty instead of concerned (which they was).
The rude harassment of JP artists is also partly why some JP artists started making those provocative whitewashing drawings, because they don't believe they deserved the hate and want to hurt us in the way that we have communicated with our reactions. (This does not justify their actions however. And getting mad at them does not make it any better bc that's what they want. I suggest u ignore them; the best way to kill a fanart is to not give them any attention, likes or rt)
I never heard of JP people attacking Americans/westerners for whitewashing, but from my experience Americans and some nonamericans are very strict about dark representation, even i have been accused of drawing archie lighter before (first when i drew him from memory, second when i coloured him under strong lighting) and from what I've seen in fandoms... you get the idea.
I think this endless hypervigilance is not good. In order to have more dark skinned representation, first we need to create a comfortable environment for people to draw fanart: one that won't jump at you as soon as you did a mistake, but instead advises you on how to do it correctly.* When people say this ìssue 'will only make people scared of drawing dark characters', it means this controversy will make people who are not good at drawing/non dark people afraid of trying new things they're not used to & afraid of showing their love and appreciation for dark skin characters by drawing fanart. If this keeps going the number of people who draw dark characters, whether correctly or not, will shrink, leaving only a few people who paints the acceptable the skin colour, and h*ntai artists, which does not contribute positively to dark skin representation.
Thus, I think some leniency should be practiced so people can try drawing dark skin characters. I'm not saying that we should let people do whitewashing by ignorance, instead i believe we should educate by reblogging/retweeting dark skin tutorials and fanarts that handles dark skin well, so that more people could learn. I think it's also important to not single out & harass certain people who didn't do it correctly to avoid discouraging people from trying again and improve themselves. Rather, we should politely tell them why it is not ok, and offer resources on how to handle it correctly. And this is also important: if they refuse to do it don't immediately accuse them of racist, they might not be ready yet to try, simply leave them be and continue upping helpful tutorials and fanarts.
*On topic of how to do it correctly, i noted few days ago that a silver lining about this issue is the many tutorials on how to colour dark skin is being circulated at least on twitter, and suddenly it made me think... is this the same for JP artists? (I asked my friend who's more knowledgeable about Japanese than me about how easy it is to find tutorial on how to colour dark skin in Japanese, and apparently after a cursory googling there's nothing except for a tutorial on how to draw curly hair. I didn't ask her to search in-depth though. Other people who knows Japanese please try and search. I don't have evidence that this is the reason JP people don't draw dark characters, although this could be a contributing factor. )

about hate towards other idol groups
you making a whole ass tweet/video/compilation about an idol’s not so great times says a lot more about you as a person than it does about them
you and others trending a campaign to end bullying and then supporting the hatred towards another group with no evidence (no, a video of a group laughing and smiling during another performance is NOT proof, get your head out of your biased ass) says a lot more about you as a person than it does the idol
funny how the DDDD music video scene with Jisoo and the camera-guns came true, and it always will time after time with so many other idols. I am so tired and frustrated at this awful culture of hate that has surfaced within the international fan community.
As someone who has been a fan of kpop for over 10 years now (I guess i’m ‘old’???), here’s what I have to say to anyone who’s a little new/ doesn’t know anything about how the kpop industry works:
1. Everything is fabricated. Your faves stage personalities, what they wear, how they dance, how they look....for the most part, it is not their choice. ESPECIALLY if they’re a girl group, and regardless of what company they are a part of. Watch literally any trainee account video on youtube and you will hear the same thing- strict rules, strict restrictions. Not being allowed to touch/whip your hair too much during a performance, don’t smile, don’t jam to another group’s performance....etc. Wanna take a guess at what happens when they break those rules? They get punished.
2. As we saw earlier this year with the unexpected loss of a beloved idol, we have NO IDEA of any of our faves mental state, we have no idea what goes on behind the practice room doors. Years as a trainee is NOT meant to make them better entertainers- it is to instill loyalty into trainees by making them go to extreme lengths with their body in order to achieve their dreams. Why do you think kpop performances are so lackluster to begin with? These kids want to be famous- but with strict cultural hierarchies with age and seniority, they are forced to go to awful lengths to get there. We’ve seen firsthand the effects that fame has on young western artists who go on to have meltdowns in their adult life. People like Jennie, Minzy, Jungkook, etc probably have an altered worldview with their childhoods essentially taken from them. By jumping on the hate bandwagon, you make it worse. You are a part of the problem.
3. ALL IDOLS WORK HARD. Why an idol’s performance is not up to par, we will never know. But there is literally NO IDOL (aside from maybe TVXQ, Suju, BB, note that i say male groups) that would not get flack from their agency for not giving two fucks on stage. BTS would probably get reprimanded. EXO would get reprimanded. Female groups would be reprimanded. Idols really don’t have as much power in an agency as fans seem to think. Look at CL and YG- literally everyone was calling CL YG’s golden girl and that she was so extremely favourited, but look- he shafted her. Hyuna? Cube’s main source of income, 10+ years in the industry? Shafted. SNSD? THE top asian girl group who could beat out Big Bang for daesang awards? 10 year anniversary ruined, group basically dissolved. EXO? Being slowly buried despite their increasing album sales. All of these artists work hard, but guess what- if they legitimately did nothing and ruined a performance, they would be outta there. Companies don’t care. Jennie? Get this- BP are an insanely popular group. YG isn’t addressing Jennie’s lack of charisma because she’s selling well. If she was a detriment, AND she didn’t sell well? You bet YG would throw her in the dungeon.
If you’ve made it to the bottom of this post, I hope you take something away from this. Grow up, and stop hating on groups. Because even if you’re their die hard fan, you will NEVER know what goes on behind the scenes and what they have to go through to be on stage. You never know when those comments will be taken to heart and will ruin their mental health.
Call out an artist for being racist, sexist, homophobic, ignorant etc. that’s valid shit to denounce them for. But not standing up to bow when their top is being held together with broken safety pins and their shorts are riding up their ass? please.

If someone were to ask me which book is worth reading to help you becoming a successful person, my answer would undoubtedly be – Shawn Lim’s Goal Setting FormulaTM.This book has given me a clear picture on why goal setting is important, how to set goals and what should I do after I have set the goals. Guess what? After finish reading his book in just an hour, I became motivated and dare to dream big. I realized that goal setting is mandatory if you want to be successful in life. Truly amazed at how inspired I could be in just a short time!I am so glad that I have this eBook as a guide to my brighter tomorrow. Thank you very much Shawn, for such a lovely, clear, concise and highly motivational eBook.Anabelle LimA University Student Because you are about to find out one of the precious formulas that you can use to transform your life into a super achiever and achieve basically any dreams and goals you want in your life. The well-known martial artist and movie star Bruce Lee became supreme exponent of martial arts and was once the master of masters in kung fu. Through a short but explosive film career he made the world aware of Chinese martial arts and he then became one of the highest paid movie stars in the world. For Bruce Lee to become successful he had to overcome incredible obstacles. As you know, he had to overcome the obstacles of being the first Chinese movie star in the West. There was a lot of prejudice towards the Chinese so this was a huge challenge… However, Bruce overcome all the obstacles and he even used his martial arts as a medium to unite the eastern and western culture and bring down the racial barriers at that time. In Planet Hollywood in New York City, there is a letter hanging on the wall that Bruce Lee wrote to himself many years before he was successful. The letter is stamped and is dated January 9, 1970. Bruce wrote on this letter clearly what his goal was to be. It said: Bruce Lee attained this goal and he became a mega superstar and attained huge wealth well beyond the goal he set. I have read your eBook, Goal Setting FormulaTM, to say the least I am impressed by the book. I would like to call it a life changing guide to a goal setting break through. It offers a step by step guide through the process and giving a more participative and practical approach which is very easy to understand and apply. I would like to recommend this eBook to any aspiring persons who are serious about goal setting and achievement. Thanks to Shawn Lim. – Lennimore Dauda Harare, Zimbabwe The formula that Bruce Lee used is called “Goal Setting” and many other successful people like Richard Branson, Steve Jobs, Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, Napoleon Hill, Donald Trump, Brian Tracy, Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, Anthony Robbins, etc, etc, etc. So how did all these successful people achieve so much in their life? The answer is plain and simple… This formula is as easy as drinking water: Let me show you another real-life example of what this guy achieved with goal setting… I just finished reading your excellent book ‘Goal Setting FormulaTM’. I have to say I really liked it and did not put it down until I finished it. I literally read it from beginning to end in one sitting, and then read it again, step by step, as I thought about my goals. What I loved about the e-book was its simplicity, in language and presentation, making easy to follow and understand. I highly recommend it to anyone who seriously wants to move ahead in life. Thank you, Shawn. Best wishes,Hani Al-Qasem When he was 12, he was lazy, unmotivated, hated to study and labelled as a slow-learner. However, he still managed to turn the world around. Who he is? He is Adam Khoo. One of the youngest self-made millionaires in Singapore. So how in the world can he achieved so many amazing results in his life? This is simply because Adam understands how goal setting works… So now you might ask, if all of these are so easy, why don’t everyone achieve what they want in their life? Why aren’t more people living the life of their dreams? Why doesn’t everyone have the perfect career, home, body and relationship? The reason is that there is more to goal setting and goal achievement. Goal setting is not just a wishful thinking. You can’t just sit down for 3 minutes and write down what you want to achieve in your life, and hope that everything will come true the next day after you woke up. There is a formula that you need to go through, a short series of steps that takes you from where you are to where you want to be. Providing you go through that process, in the right order, there is little that you cannot achieve. From someone who learned about goal setting and success the hard way I can tell you that Shawn Lim outlines a great way to get going with your plans and start living life to the fullest. Anyone who reads this book will move on with a clearer head about their goals. When you walk on the path that you designed, you will have the natural motivation that keeps you going all the time. You’ll live your life happier than ever before simply because you are living the life that you wanted exactly. People who believe that they are the master of their life change their life and achieve whatever they want. People who believe whatever happen will be will be change by their surroundings. They are waiting for opportunity instead of creating opportunity. Goal setting may not be new to you, maybe you have tried to set goals and achieve them before. If you didn’t succeed, there is a high probability that you would presumed that goal setting does not work. Perhaps, Brian Tracy says it best… Firstly, most people do not know what they really want in their life. Sounds crazy, but it’s true. If you do not know what you really want in your life, how in the world are you going to achieve it? You need to find out what you really want to achieve in your life before you can achieve them. Don’t be a lost sheep and following the crowd. Find out what you truly want in your life. If you’re not sure what you want to do with your life, don’t worry. You will learn how to discover your true goal with Goal Setting FormulaTM. What would you expect from this eBook? That’s the first thing came across my mind, but after reading this eBook, it is giving me a crystal clear view about Goal Setting. Why we need to set our goal? For me if you do not set any goal in your life yet and I am pretty sure you shall live your life the same before. I quote from this eBook: “Goal setting is the powerful vehicle that can bring you to whatever you want, and action is the fuel that drives the powerful vehicle.” I can tell you that this is not the ordinary information written in this eBook. It will guide you step-by-step to setting up your goal and I like the “What Should You Do Now” chapter and if you want to know why, then grab this eBook. So my advice to you, for those who seeking a success in his or her life and dare to be extraordinary people, take your first action by getting this eBook and you would be thankful to Shawn by making this eBook. If you are given everything, what do you want to achieve in your life? “It was only recently that I discovered goal setting. In a nutshell, it means setting a goal, writing it down and telling the whole world about it. In the past, I did set goals, but I would do it only in my mind. In many cases, when the going got tough, I would compromise, or bargain with myself for a simpler goal, or conveniently “postpone” the goal for another time. Most of the time, the goal would not be fulfilled in its entirety. Sometimes, it never got fulfilled at all. Now, when I set goals and tell people around me about it, my approach to the goal changed. I would be actively seeking for ways to achieve that goal, whether it is with the people I talk to, or the TV program I’m watching, or the article I’m reading. And I will take the initiative and go out there and do whatever needs to be done to achieve my stated goal. In fact, when I’m in my “goal achieving” mode, it is as if every fibre of my being was tuned to getting my goal achieved. In everything that I say or do, I will be looking for ways of moving myself closer to my goal. It actually becomes very difficult to fail. Goal setting works! With the “Goal Setting FormulaTM” eBook, you will learn to set goals and adopt the right strategies to go about achieving your goals. It outlines a step-by-step guide so that achieving your goals has never been easier.” Warrior Forum MemberDavid “It is true that one need to set goals, in fact it is of utmost importance if you have any intention of being successful in life. Taking the time to read this eBook has most definitely put me in the right prospective as to areas in which to set my goals after all most of us just think along the line of financial goals and not necessarily marking out a balance field, prioritizing, successful keys to goal setting, setting goals i love, as when you really love what you do you will give it your all. I believe that one can truly inspire another and this eBook has done it for me. Thanks Shawn, every time I come up short of reaching my goals I will come back to this place to remind myself of the direction to take and the ways to go about it.” Therefore, if you are not committed toward what you want to achieve in your life, you will never going to achieve them.
