When I started shipping them:

After I saw Kingsglaive, and decided Nyx was my favorite, and I read pretty much everything I could find on him. Then I read all i was really doing was waiting for you as well as the sun is out, and I was completely sold on how perfect Cor and Nyx are for each other.

My thoughts:

Cor and Nyx are perfect for each other. They’re both highly skilled soldiers with a reckless streak and a strong sense of duty. So they have similar enough values to have a strong foundation for a good relationship. But they have enough differences to keep things interesting. Nyx has a connection to Galahd and his friends, so he can remind Cor there’s more to life than just burying himself in work, and that there’s a world outside the Citadel. And Cor can keep Nyx grounded and give him a sense of belonging he’s missing since the attack on Galahd. They can keep each other from getting too lost in their own heads, and balance each other out nicely.

What makes me happy about them:

Can I say everything? I love them so much, I just want good things for them.

What makes me sad about them:

Canon, which I willfully ignore.

Things done in fanfic that annoys me:

I try not to be too picky, since there’s not as much content out there for a rarepair like CorNyx, but I would say a pet peeve of mine is when Nyx isn’t given credit for his skills, but is just treated like a reckless idiot. He is, sure, but he’s smart, too, or he wouldn’t have gotten where he is. 

Things I look for in fanfic:

Again, I can’t be too picky, because there’s not enough fic out there. But I love when Nyx and Cor get to show how competent they are, even when they fumble around their personal relationships. Mutual pining is one of my favorite things. I also love them being loving and supportive of each other. I just want them to be happy.

My wishlist:

More CorNyx content

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other:

Cor and Nyx belong together, but I also enjoy DrauCor and DrauNyx, and so I'd be okay with either of them ending up with Titus. Or all three of them together, so I don’t have to choose!

My happily ever after for them:

Cor and Nyx, living out their retirement together in a nice house in Galahd, maybe with a pet of some kind.

SEGMENT ONE (NINE MINUTES):

- The episode opened with a standup at the commentary booth where Sudu Upadhyay welcomed the audience. Larry Zbyszko talked about walking around Dorney Park earlier that day and seeing the "big Blockhead" and his friends. Sudu explained that Charlie Brown and the entire Peanuts gang call Dorney Park home, but Zbyszko interrupted and said the Big Blockhead he saw was Starboy Charlie and he was with Marcus “Pig-Pen” Mathers and the “Peppermint Paddy” Brogan Finlay.

- The Great Pro-Wrestling Adventure Hour intro aired set to "Black Swan Lake" by Janko Nilovic.

Starboy Charlie, Marcus Mathers, and Brogan Finlay vs. "The Alien" Rocket, Prince Piranha, and Jus Sayin Starboy Charlie, Marcus Mathers, and Brogan Finlay defeated "The Alien" Rocket, Prince Piranha, and Jus Sayin with the Sitout Powerbomb from Mathers on Jus Sayin. (5:28)

- A video aired of Franz Von Trier at his ranch outside of Dallas, Pennsylvania. Franz introduced us to his two oldest boys, "The Mountain Laurel of Pennsylvania" Dale Von Trier and Keith Von Trier. Dale and Keith, both wearing crop tops and blue jeans, demonstrated the famous Von Trier Iron Pinch by using their thumb and index fingers to crush plums and kumquats. The boys displayed exercises they do to strengthen their grip and Dale applied the Iron Pinch to Keith, squeezing the nostrils on Keith's nose closed which brought Keith to his knees. Dale broke the hold and helped his brother to his feet, where the two locked their pinching fingers together like a chain as the camera zoomed in on their hands before fading to black.

SEGMENT THREE (NINE MINUTES):

- We join Daphne Oz at the CORE news desk for the Coal Region Roundup. Daphne recapped JeeVeS K's announcement of the TrustBusters Reserve last week before sending us to more footage that recently surfaced from that day.

- Footage aired of a helicopter coming in for a landing at a small airfield. As the helicopter touched down, JeeVeS K opened the door to a limousine parked just out of the way and began to walk toward the helicopter before noticing the camera. JeeVeS K motions for the helicopter passengers to stay inside and walks over to confront the camera operator. JeeVeS said Ari Daivari agreed to let them film the segment inside the barracks, but the camera man had no right to follow him here and try to reveal the members of the TrustBusters Reserve. The camera man was ushered back into their vehicle and forced to drive off.

- Back at the news desk, Daphne Oz said that last week she announced the folkstyle faction would be making their debut at Panic In Pillow Park in Pillow, Pennsylvania on June 10th. Well, apparently that was news to Shaw Mason, Hunter Holdcraft, and Tim Bosby.

- We cut to a promo from folkstyle. Mason, Holdcraft, and Bosby talked about training their whole lives for this and that no one asked them if they wanted to wait to debut. folkstyle announced they'll be making their debut next week in front of a national audience on Defy TV. Daphne Oz signed off and sent us to Prince Nana's Throne Room interview show.

- Prince Nana introduced his guest for this week, Titus Alexander. Prince Nana discussed Titus Alexander's accomplishments in CORE as part of The Last Wave faction and highlight footage aired. But Nana pointed out that Josh Alexander is injured and Mr. Takeshita is healthy, but like Alexander has an exclusive contract that prevents him from appearing on this program. Nana asks that while Titus had all this success in CORE as part of a faction, how does he feel standing in the Throne Room completely alone. Alexander reiterated the philosophy of The Last Wave, that Josh was the best wrestler at his peak, that Takeshita was the best wrestler on the way up, and that Titus Alexander was the best prospect in wrestling. Titus said it's time for him to take that next step on his own and it starts against Kerry Morton. Nana pointed out that Kerry Morton probably won't be alone. Alexander talked about how he was winning Trios Kingdom while Kerry was carrying his dad's bags. Titus dismissed Kerry's faction without a name and said that while they look pretty tough jumping senior citizens from behind, he can take care of himself.

SEGMENT FOUR (EIGHT MINUTES):

- A video aired featuring quick cuts to images like white wrist tape before pulling back to show a hand holding a tag rope, knee pads, monogrammed boots, and matching tights. The cuts come to an end and the camera pans up from rear waist level of two figures wearing matching black satin jackets. The two look back over their shoulders to reveal Brock Anderson and Tessa Blanchard. Cut to white text on a black background, "The New Brain Busters, coming soon..."  

Something/Nothing: (Jake Something and Vincent Nothing) with UltraMantis Black vs. Steven Fuerte and Live Action Luke Something/Nothing defeated Steven Fuerte and Live Action Luke with the Black Hole Slam from Something on Luke. (4:44)

- A promo aired featuring Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd of The OutRunners. They said they've blasted through the stratosphere, the ionosphere, and they've ended up at the very top, COal REgion Pro-Wrestling. On June 10th at Pillow Park in Pillow, PA - the OutRunners will face Jake Something and Vincent Nothing. Turbo and Magnum said that those two might be something, or they might be nothing, but that The OutRunners are everything.

SEGMENT FIVE (EIGHT MINUTES):

- Footage aired showing a man and a woman standing it what appeared to be a kitchen. A hand reached into the frame with a clapperboard, "Dr. Vibes Rises Again, 7F Take 1." The two launch into a scene.

MAN I can't believe you did that to our child.

WOMAN You know how depressed I've been since giving birth. I always heard that if you wanted to give up your child anonymously you could leave them outside a firehouse.

MAN Yeah, but I don't think you're supposed to put them in front of the big garage door where the trucks are parked.

WOMAN I thought they would look in their mirrors before backing out!

Off camera someone yells cut and the actor playing the woman storms off screaming about working with amateurs. As someone chases after her, off camera the director can be heard talking to an assistant. The assistant said they like it, but that they thought this was supposed to be a comedy. The director says it is a comedy. The assistant said that is seems kind of heavy and there aren't a lot of jokes. The director said that's a very dated point of view, comedy isn't about jokes anymore. Comedy is about childhood trauma, mental health, and living vicariously through characters when their parents say "I love you."

002 - BICENTENARIO – ANTECEDENTES -

La independencia del Perú fue otro capítulo importante en las guerras de independencia hispanoamericanas. Finalmente en abril 1825 concluye la campaña de Sucre en el Alto Per��, y en noviembre de ese mismo año, México consigue la capitulación del bastión español de San Juan de Ulúa en Norteamérica. Por último, en enero de 1826, caen los reductos españoles del Callao y Chiloé. España renuncia en 1836 a todos sus dominios continentales americanos.

En lo político se cortó la dependencia de España, en lo económico se mantuvo la dependencia de Europa, y en lo social el despojo de tierras a indígenas se acentuó en la era republicana. ​ El empleado doméstico indígena fue tratado de forma inhumana, incluso en las primeras décadas del siglo XX. El indígena consiguió la ciudadanía abierta del Perú en el mismo nacimiento de la república, el 27 de agosto de 1821. Sin embargo, en pleno siglo XXI se sigue construyendo una sociedad genuinamente democrática, donde sea posible la plena garantía y el respeto de los derechos humanos.

Rebeliones durante la conquista y el período colonial

Ninguno de estas primeras rebeliones consigue el objetivo de la independencia frente a la corona española.

Guerras civiles entre los conquistadores.

Gonzalo Pizarro, pretendió hacer el Perú independiente a la cabeza de los encomenderos entre 1542-1544, y aconsejado por Francisco de Carvajal con aspiraciones a rey del Perú, y se rebeló contra la autoridad del primer virrey enviado para reprimir a los conquistadores que aspiraban a la independencia.

Finalmente fue derrotado tras un gobierno efímero de tres años. ​ Como consecuencia de estas rebeliones los descendientes de los principales conquistadores fueron trasladados a España, como la familia Pizarro, entre ellos la hija del conquistador, Francisca Pizarro Yupanqui.

Guerra de reconquista incaica. Utopía andina.

Las rebeliones durante la conquista y el período colonial del Perú se produjeron desde la captura del inca Atahualpa en la emboscada de Cajamarca, el 16 de noviembre de 1532, y que llevó a la conquista del Imperio inca por parte de Francisco Pizarro. Algunos pretendidos sucesores de los incas trataron en varias ocasiones de retomar el país, reconquistar su imperio e instalar de nuevo su gobierno. Unos intentos ocurrieron inmediatamente; otros, más tarde, en los siglos XVII y XVIII.

La guerra de reconquista incaica la encabezó Manco Inca en 1536, quien puso sitio al Cuzco y tomó la fortaleza de Sacsayhuaman, consiguiendo exterminar a importantes partidas de soldados españoles. Uno de sus lugartenientes, Titu Yupanqui, sitió a la recién fundada ciudad de Lima, en la costa.

Los españoles resistieron tanto en Lima como en el Cuzco, con el apoyo de miles de indios auxiliares (cañaris, chachapoyas, huancas). Sin embargo, debido a la amenaza de la hambruna, Manco Inca se vio obligado a licenciar a sus fuerzas y se refugió en las selvas de Vilcabamba, con el propósito de renovar la rebelión. Durante algún tiempo se consagró a enviar a sus tropas a incursionar en los poblados fundados por los españoles, hasta que resultó asesinado hacia 1542, a manos de unos almagristas a los que había dado refugio. Sus sucesores, llamados incas de Vilcabamba, mantuvieron la resistencia en dicha zona hasta 1572, cuando el último de ellos, Túpac Amaru I, fue capturado y llevado al Cuzco, donde fue ejecutado. There is happy bantering. Titus is amused.

At first glance, Titus Drautos is grizzled and cynical.

  And at second glance, he is still grizzled and cynical.

  He is not the type of man most women look at twice, if at all: there’s an aura of intimidation that comes with being captain of the Kingsglaive, and he wears it well like armor. Even you were not always immune to his effect.

  (You still vaguely remember wishing to shrivel up and die the first time his gaze fell upon you.)

  But you are not afraid now.

  No, now, you say cheeky things like, “If your frown lines were any deeper, they’d have to name a canyon after you.”

  And instead of tossing you into the dark recesses of some prison cell (as the rumours would have you believe), Titus only harrumphs and says without missing a beat, “If you’d stop being a brat, I wouldn’t have any frown lines.”

  You gasp in mock betrayal, kicking at his shin. He doesn’t defend himself, secretly pleased by the domesticity of it all. Titus enjoys indulging in your theatrics.

  “You’re a brute,” you pout. “You’re sleeping on the couch tonight!”

  “Ah yes, one night free from your snoring.”

  “I do not snore!”

  Not quite ready to concede defeat, Titus sweeps you up into his arms before plopping down on the couch. “If I am to be banished from the bed—that I bought, mind you—then you’d better be joining me.”

  “That kind of ruins the whole point,” you mutter but it’s difficult to keep up the pretense with his steady, firm chest beneath you, his strong arms encompassing you. Shyly, you glance up, meeting his gaze. To be sure, Titus makes for an awfully stern portrait of a man in his uniform, but his eyes are filled with mirth, even as his lips dip into a mock frown to chide you for your stubbornness. It’s an uncommon gaiety you bring out in each other. 

  He is not the type of man most women look at twice, but he is your big, bad brute of a man and on days like today, you could stare at him forever and be content.

Clint has never shuffled faster in his life than this very moment. There’s a beautiful back doberman ahead that looks EXACTLY like the dog that had saved him months ago. It’s even sniffing the ground near the very alley they’d first met. “Hey boy!” It’s clear by his tone of voice that he’s excited and is rewarded with a tailwag and wet nose against his palm. “Yeah, you’re a good boy aren’t you? The hero pup. What a cutie.” The dog reacts to the cooing with a stronger wag and a flurry of thrilled movement.

Shelby Original Venice Crew delivers the first G.T. 350 Competition Mustangs at Willow Springs

Debuted in 2015, The Original Venice Crew’s (OVC) continuation run of 36 Officially Ford and Shelby licensed 1964 G.T.350 Competition model Mustangs, also known as the G.T.350R, were recently track-tested at two separate private Willow Springs shakedown tests. The customer cars #001 and #004, were certified race ready by OVC and are ready to be delivered to customers.

OVC trailered two continuation G.T.350 Competitions to Willow Springs Raceway on November 27, 2018. This was the test day of the customer car #001. Championship racecar driver Rick Titus, son of Jerry Titus who won the 1965 B-Production Championship in a G.T. 350 Competition, expertly pilots the car around the corners of Willow Springs Raceway Big Willow Circuit.

Damon Lawner is the owner of #001, and he has been waiting for a year to finally be behind the wheel of the Wimbledon White with blue stripes G.T. 350 Competition. He first tried to buy one of the original, built-in-1964 G.T. 350 Competition models, saying, “I was looking around for a 1964 G.T. 350R, and I bid on one with Sotheby’s.” But the car sold for $600-$700,000, quite a bit more than he had planned on spending. He continues,  “I was looking around to see if I could find an unrestored one, and I and came across an article saying that some of the guys who built the original cars in ’65 were going to be building a limited run of 1965 K-code cars, and building them better than they had a chance to originally.”

After a call to Shelby American in Las Vegas, Nevada, Lawner was put in touch with the Original Venice Crew, operating out of one of Shelby’s shops in Gardena, California. They wrote up a simple contract, Lawner handed them a deposit, and unwittingly became the owner of the first car, serial #001. “I wasn’t even aware that I would receive the very first car that they built for the public, and that was about a year ago,” he says.

Despite the fact that most of these cars will never see serious racing competition, OVC’s test driver, Titus, puts the cars out on the track and pushes them to their limits. Titus describes the experience, “The thing that amazes me about these cars is how they leave the shop, ready to go. To bring a brand-new car that is fully assembled from bare body to this kind of competition level and to leave the shop and to have it work so well on the first try off of the trailer blows me away. We don’t like to waste a bunch of laps, put a lot of time on people’s cars, we just want to know if there are any weaknesses or parts that need adjusting.”

OVC’s Jim Marietta talks about how it feels to see a new 1964 G.T. 350 Competition rolling out onto Willow Spring’s track, “It’s an incredible feeling because Ted and I, and another fellow by the name of Peter Bryant, we were the hands-on guys who built those cars [back in 1964]. We spent a lot of time testing and developing those cars. That particular car that we built 55 years ago [car #002], won the B-Production Championship in 1965 with Rick Titus’s father, Jerry Titus, driving. Now, Ted and I are building these cars again 55 years later. Peter Brock helped us redesign portions of it that he had on the drawing board at that time, so we’ve completely closed the circle. These are not replicas; these are a continuation of the original 36 cars. They only did 36, and we’re only doing 36.”

Early in morning on Rodeo drive, a truck pulling a white trailer parks in front of one of that street’s exclusive, high-end shops. White cones are placed behind the trailer. The ramp lowers and car #001 rolls out onto the street. Lawner walks around the car, inspecting the car that he has so eagerly waited a year for before jumping inside. When he fires it up, the racing exhaust fills the air of this exclusive Los Angeles street with the sounds of history. Lawner pulls away, passing the trailer and taking the car out onto the intersection. A race car on the street. He drives around the block twice, savoring the moment. He even fishtails the car as he turns a corner, drifting the car in a celebration of the day. He finally pulls the car into a little-known high-end car storage facility located below street level. When Lawner backs the car into its storage spot, he jumps out and puts his hand on the hood. All of the wait, all of the dreams, the long search, and now here he is, with his car—his new “G.T. 350R”, Lawner said of that moment with his hand on the hood that “I’m feeling its soul.”

Car #004 was track tested at Willow Springs Raceway on February 7, 2019 and will be on its way to Norway within the month.
