Hi Alyssa!
I have a random question for you today…
What’s the strangest thing you have ever done for money?
Hi Kat!! Happy Monday!
Oh BOY that sure is a loaded question! hahahaha I have done quite a few strange things for money, honestly. Some of them might not be... how should I put this... sharable. But I have a couple that I certainly can tell you about.
1- Bartender at a Catholic High School fundraiser event. I think it was a fashion show? So I had already been a bartender for about three years when I started student teaching (there was a brief moment in time when I was going to be a HS English teacher) at my old high school (Yes, I attended catholic school for 12 years. Fun fact, that school has since shut down and was most recently used to film the new Mean Girls movie which I have not seen but the trailers trip me out because there's Tina Fey standing in my old history classroom lol) and was also coaching the girls' track team, so I was around the school often. Someone in the main office overheard me talking to one of the other teachers - who just so happened to be a friend that I bartended with in the summer - about being a bartender, so they asked me to "bartend" (it was just wine and beer) this event (that was held in the cafeteria). I guess it's not that strange, but it was a weird like... worlds colliding thing for me. Still, it was an easy $100.
2- I wrote social media posts for a cab company in London. For a while I was freelancing on Fiverr and was hired to write... so many strange articles, posts, press releases etc. (One time a really small scale rapper contacted me to write some reviews for his music and told me he was gonna take me to the top and I literally have not stopped laughing about that because no, sir, you are not taking me to the top you are paying me $5 to say your music is good which it wasn't horrible but it definitely wasn't going anywhere near the top. Another time I had to write 1500 words about different types of mattresses.) But my one repeat client was this cab company in London that had me rewrite all the copy for their website. And I have never been to London.
3- I sold donor recognition plaques. This one was strange in so many ways. I worked for a tiny company that specialized in making those like big wall installations and like trees that you see in hospitals and temples/churches and universities and other institutions where boosters/donors have their names on like plaques or leaves. It was strange working there for a lot of reasons. The company had been around for 100 years at the time I was working there, and if you looked around the office and workshop, you could tell. There was an entire room of paper records (non digitized, despite the fact that digitization exists and despite the fact that this company had already suffered a fire like 40 years ago and lost all their records) the workshop was like part functional creative space, part fucking museum because some of the tools were like The Original Tool. But the strangest part about working there was the fact that the three owners all seemed to be locked in a constant battle with each other which made it impossible to get anything done. But yeah. If you've ever been in a temple or hospital in NY, NJ or the surrounding area, chances are the tiny dysfunctional company I worked for made their plaques.

Shake Shack's Single-Location Tie-In Mario Party
Food AND Drink
Type of Funny Food: Tie-In Product / Event
Introduced: March 2023
Location: Shake Shack, Brooklyn, NY
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As part of a promotion for the new Super Mario Bros. movie, Shake Shack (and artist Chance the Rapper) hosted a real life Mario Party at their Brooklyn location for one weekend only. Along with plenty of plumber and kart-related photo ops and merch, patrons had the opportunity to sample two Mario-themed menu items- the Gold Star Shake and the Shroom Burger with Fire Sauce.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Shroom Burger (or the event's version of the typical Shake Shack fare) was a four-cheese toasted potato bun portobello mushroom (kingdom) burger with arugula, pepperoni, and chili tomato sauce, while the Gold Star Shake was a peach and strawberry shake with dried star fruit and sprinkles on top! Wahoo!
-
I don't typically plan on putting food and drink items together on the same post when it comes to tie-in menus, but there's literally only one of each, so it's not like making two separate posts is super necessary. I'll include both in a listing if I think it won't make the post too long, but for huge events like Halloween Horror Nights or other celebrations with a bajillion edible offerings they're going to need to be separated!

DThang Continues His Relentless Drill Assault With Back-to-Back Singles
Tumblr media
Blowing up in The Bronx with his daringly authentic brand of drill music, DThang cannot be stopped. This week, the young artist released two brand new singles and music videos, "Invite Only" and "Scene Pt. 2," continuing his relentless assault on the rap game. "Invite Only" dropped first, showcasing DThang's elastic flow and flexing his exclusive lifestyle over a hybrid club-drill instrumental.
Tumblr media
The sequel to one of DThang's most-viewed singles, "Scene Pt. 2" is a worthy follow-up, as the young artist asserts his status as one of the biggest in his city's streets. Available on DSPs on Friday May 10th, the song originally launched as a "From The Block" video on For Shooters Only last week, filmed at The Bronx's Roberto Clemente State Park. The two new singles follow the raspy-voiced South Bronx rapper's "Many Opps," which saluted fellow NYC rapper 50 Cent.
youtube
After the rapper's exoneration earlier this year, DThang has spent the early part of 2024 reminding NY rap fans that he's one of the city's finest. DThang didn't wait to leave jail before dropping new music though – he shared the invigorating freestyle "Hard Day's Night / Last Day In" just before his release. The heartfelt music video for "Last Day In" racked up over 4.2 million views in three weeks.
youtube
Upon his release, DThang was greeted by his mentor French Montana, who gifted him a fresh piece of jewelry and took him shopping for the latest fits. On Valentine's Day, DThang delivered a fresh ode to all of his smoochies, with "Smoochie Valentine," inspired by Nelly and featuring a cameo by the legendary rapper in the video, which reached the Top 20 on YouTube's Trending Chart for Music with over 1.7 million views in its first week. Most recently, DThang shared “Drill Cappers,” a ferocious missive aimed at fake drillers and clout-chasers.
DThang emerged in 2021, leading a Bronx drill wave that took his city by storm. He tore up the streets with songs like "Gz Bop," "LIKE" and "Play It Back," generating tens of millions of views on his raw and authentic music videos. Alongside peers like Kay Flock, Sha Gz, and Bando, DThang was set to define the sound of Bronx drill for years to come.
Tumblr media
Now fully exonerated and back in the drill game for good, DThang is ready to turn heads in and out of the Five Boroughs with his hard-nosed rhymes. Keep your eyes peeled for a new project, coming soon.
Watch "Scene Pt. 2": https://youtu.be/JVWpZsH5yd4
"Scene Pt. 2" hits all DSPs on Friday, May 10th - http://dthang.lnk.to/scenept2

Two days ago, I got a message in English via instagram DM. "Hey yusaku. I was referred to you by Shin (Biyajima). I know I'm on the edge and condition is not ideal. But I only have two days left. I just want to experience the backcountry of this area! Besides, 4/1 is my birthday! I want to make it a special day! "I can't be so careless when it's Shin's introduction.
Tumblr media
Yesterday was a beginner's tour, the pace of walking was slow, and I'm taking today off because I have something to do… But I accepted the offer for a half day.
He has heli-skiing and off-piste experience in Alaska, but hasn't done many walking tours on his own. I watched him smiling as he excitedly tried on his rental VERTS while waiting for the lifts to start.
I asked him, "How did you meet Shin, by the way? he replied, "Oh, we're just connected on Instagram, but we've never met.”
You've never met him!
Tumblr media
If you want to experience Hakuba's backcountry, Happo is the place to be. The wind was moderate and visibility did not seem too bad, but it was chilly, a change from yesterday. It was snowing at the top.
Tumblr media
Then it's time to climb up the mountain.
Actually, he is from New York. And he is almost same age. So there is no way he hasn't been through the hip-hop of the 90's. Who are your favorite rappers? I asked him NAS, KRS-ONE, GURU…Hey, hey, hey! have to get along with him.
Tumblr media
At first I thought I could take the same route as yesterday, but I underestimated the low freezing level. It's an icy mountain.
Change of plans. Let's lower the elevation and look for loose snow.
Let's review Gameplan like Lord Finesse.

KOOL G RAP みたいに Blowin' up the worldしてます。
We were ready for usual breeze in Happo.
Blowin' up the world like KOOL G RAP.

KRS-ONE みたいに Step into a world しましょう。
Let's try to shred.
Let's step into a world like KRS-ONE.
Tumblr media
A tribe called quest Can I kick it?
Now, how is his snowboarding skill?
Can I kick it? like A tribe called quest.

It is a Cold world, just like GZA.
But the guy who snowboarding on the icy mountains of Vermont goes down at a good speed, even if it is icy.

It was a hard slope, but like Mobb Deep, the Temperature's Rising was coming down and the snow was loosening up a bit.
Tumblr media
Second run. The snow has not yet loosened up and the slope is still steep, so you must be on your guard.
Tumblr media
It's about to get nice and soft.
Time 4 sum aksion like Redman.

Busta rhymes みたいに It's a party です。
The target is this bottom. It is an exquisite elevation zone where the snow is loose and running.
It's a party, like Busta Rhymes.
Tumblr media
Blacksheep みたいに The choice is yours です。
Well, it's still early to go home, so let's go back up one more climb.
The choice is yours, just like Blacksheep.
Tumblr media
Verts
Ultramagnetic MC's みたいに Raise it up です。
Verts are really good on steep climbs like this.
Raise it up like Ultramagnetic MC's.
Tumblr media
Now, the last slope. There are many cracks, so be careful.
Tumblr media
Erick B & Rakim みたいに Don't sweat the technique です。
Good work. He has cleared the cracks without difficulty.
Don't sweat the technique like Erick B & Rakim.
Tumblr media
The last dessert was a comfortable descent with magic wax on it. However, I was in such a good mood that I took a reverse edge with all my might.
I need to protect ya neck like the Wu-tang clan.
Tumblr media
The water level was a little high because it was spring. It is a Waterfall just like TLC. I had a drop of water on my lens because I fell down a while ago.

He told me that his favorite things in Japan are snowboarding, hot springs, and ramen, so I took him to a famous restaurant in Hakuba and made him try their special miso ramen. That was the end of our half-day tour!
I hope you had a good time!
Thanks again for your hard work today! And happy birthday!

A-T-3 328 Euro-rap (Pt.1)
There's been the odd rap records coming out of Europe for a year or two by 1983, most notable mentions are Malcom McLaren's Buffalo Gals and Captain Sensible's Wot (you might even call The Flying Lizards' Money early euro-rap, that's 1979 and would be considered controversial!) It may have been the success of Captain Sensible's Wot that led to flood of parody rap records, Kenny Everett puts out Snot Rap (feat Cupid Stunt, how did he get away with that?) and Roland Rat put out Rat Rapping both in 1983 and Alexi Sayle's 'Ullo John! Gotta New Motor? gets a re-issue hitting the charts in 1984
Parody is a feature of Euro-rap, Chicesque backing tracks, funny scratching-like synth sounds. There's also plenty Italo disco with a rap, like R.A.F.'s Self Control. I was hoping to share K/mh - “C-Club” Rap on Klaus Schulze's Innovative Communication but the youTube has been taken down
Before I get to the synthetic stuff here is a selection that begins with rap coming from UK lovers, Brit-funk and the foundations of street soul
Frequency – Bills UK rap with the rappers on the a-side trying to sound like an American crew. Where else in the world would you hear a mix of funk and nyabinghi drumming other than the UK? (you might here it NY, Miami, or Toronto maybe)
youtube
Fumme - Only You (Make It Right) from the UK co-produced by Mark Lusardi who worked with Adrian Sherwood and On-U Sound
youtube
Yankee Jones - Foxy Lady (Rapping) don't know much about this apart from it came out in the UK and is pretty nice rapping over the Hot Shots playing a version of Fatback Band's 1983 classic I Found Loving. It's a brit pretending to sound American, innit?
youtube
Frequency – Bills (at the top) is an early version of Supa-Rap Featuring T.C. Anderson - Bills which has a cleaner i-Level type jazz-funk production, the instrumental is called Dionne's Theme
youtube
On the subject of UK Jazz-Funk, Funk Masters of Love Money fame release Caveman Rock by Junior Gee with Funk Masters - Scratch The Rock on the b-side
youtube
Julius Green - Havent We Learned Julius Green is an American singer formally of the legendary Memphis soul harmony group The Mad Lads, this oddity comes out of the Netherlands
youtube
Ricky & The Mutations - Thatcher Rap this is actually a credible conscious track, the instrumental on the b-side is great

This year’s list of honorees includes a crop of legendary performers: British art-pop legend Kate Bush, hip-hop trailblazer Missy Elliott, late megastar George Michael, pop-rock hitmaker Sheryl Crow, outlaw country icon Willie Nelson, rap-rock firebreathers Rage Against the Machine and smooth soul group The Spinners.
Elsewhere, two individuals are set to be inducted under the “musical influence” category, including “Father of Hip-Hop” DJ Kool Herc and guitar pioneer Link Wray; while the “musical excellence award” will be given to three others: funk idol Chaka Khan, veteran studio musician Al Kooper and longtime Elton John lyricist Bernie Taupin.
Notably, four of the seven performers are being inducted on their first nomination: Crow, Elliott, Michael and Nelson. Among those, Elliott was the only artist eligible for the first time in 2023.
While the achievements of many of the above-named inductees — performers like Elliott, Michael, Crow, Nelson, Rage and Khan — are well-known to many, others on the list require more of an introduction. Below, we’ve compiled quick facts on each of the honorees, from the trails they’ve blazed in the industry to the hit songs that shot them to fame and fortune.
Below, a look at their musical milestones and chart achievements.

In 2022, Bush scored her greatest Billboard Hot 100 success when “Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)” reached No. 3, spurred by its synch in the fourth season of Netflix’s Stranger Things. The song reached No. 30 during its original 1985 run.

Crow boasts seven No. 1s on the Triple A Airplay chart, the most among women in the list’s history. She has also landed nine top 10 albums on the Billboard 200.

Elliott became the first female rapper with three No. 1s on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, with Supa Dupa Fly (1997), Da Real World (1999) and Miss E… So Addictive (2001).
DJ Kool HercPhoto : Steven Ferdman/Getty Images
Fifty years after Herc’s historic party in the Bronx, where he set hip-hop in motion, the genre has gone global and reshaped popular music. According to Luminate, R&B/hip-hop accounted for nearly 27% of all U.S. music consumption in 2022 — more than any other genre.
Chaka KhanPhoto : Leonard M. DeLessio/Corbis/Getty Images
Between Khan’s work with funk bank Rufus and her solo material, the legendary vocalist scored 58 hits on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart between 1973 and 2008. From her early days, she proved a consistent commercial force, landing a top 10 on the chart each year from 1973 to 1984.

The musician who contributed organ to “Like a Rolling Stone” (1965) and tambourine on “Rainy Day Women #12 & 35” (1966), Bob Dylan’s two highest-charting Hot 100 songs — both reached No. 2 — has also performed with such rock legends as The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Jimi Hendrix Experience and B.B. King.
George MichaelPhoto : Michael Putland/Getty Images
The late U.K. artist charted seven No. 1s on the Hot 100 as a solo artist and three as part of the duo Wham! Michael’s most recent visit to the chart was in 2022, when Wham!’s classic “Last Christmas” hit the top five for the first time, 38 years after its release.

In July 2020, 87-year-old Nelson became the first artist to score top 10s in every decade — seven in all — on the Top Country Albums chart since its launch in January 1964. His 70th solo album, 2020’s First Rose of Spring, was his 53rd top 10 on the chart.

Rage Against the Machine

Of eight total appearances on Alternative Airplay, Rage Against the Machine has placed three songs in the top 10 — all in 2000 — with “Guerrilla Radio” peaking the highest at No. 6.
The SpinnersPhoto : Echoes/Redferns
The Michigan R&B hit-makers boast a 34-year span of hits on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songschart, from their 1961 debut, “That’s What Girls Are Made For,” to a featured credit on Rappin 4-Tay’s “I’ll Be Around” in 1995. In that time, they racked up 19 top 10 hits, including six No. 1s.
Bernie TaupinPhoto : Fin Costello/Redferns
Taupin has co-written eight of Elton John’s Hot 100 No. 1s and 27 of his top 10s, as well as 16 of the Rocket Man’s Adult Contemporary No. 1s, which helped cement John’s standing as the chart’s all-time top artist.
Link WrayPhoto : Gie Knaeps/Getty Images
One of rock music’s guitar innovators, particularly with the 1958 instrumental “Rumble,” Wray reached the Hot 100 three times, led by the No. 23 peak of “Raw-Hide” in 1959.

Kurtis Blow and Sugar Hill Gang NY were the first group I've known of to bring rap to its introduction. Followed by those who also put NY and captured the heart of urban community called the ghetto. Important variable for the streets is where nothing good could be spoken off it is now being rapped about.
"Rapper's Delight" is a 1979 hip hop track by the Sugarhill Gang, produced by Sylvia Robinson. Although it was shortly preceded by the Fatback Band's "King Tim III (Personality Jock)", "Rapper's Delight" is credited for introducing hip hop music to a wide audience, reaching the top 40 in the United States, as well as the top three in the United Kingdom and number one in Canada. -Wikipedia
It's the title of a genre as well as communication between the fellas on the streets either shooting the breeze or hollering at the ladies rap is the natural communication that can't be changed or it denies where it came from. Nicki Ms Pink Barbie baby Minja is leading Queen and as a Queen does protect her people. Job well done she is a child grown female rapper and artist of NY origin pioneering in the genre and industry of music. Let it be known I refuse to go gently into the good night without a fight because our community has been the brunt of shame of people who saw nothing but our demise. From the more of the streets a genre was born that had nothing to do with the music industry.
No one making money would be able to without the streets of NY ghetto lyrics and they said RAP it's a wrap and most importantly the colors of our ethnicity represents LOVE of our Creator FATHER GOD GOD JEHOVAH ALLAH SUPREME BEING Yahweh I call Father Sacred reception of the projects housing division where rap would be dreamt of by preteens children who heard the vibe and it roots connected with their hearts.
This is the 2nd VMAs hosted by Nicki The Barbie and it's the creme de la creme she could do better but that leave no room for growth...

The Legend, the Assassin and the creative visionary who helped change my perspective on life…
It was winter of 2022 and I was laying on my sofa, listening to 90’s hip-hop and other underground tunes, when I came across a Kool G Rap song titled “Real Life”. The song was incredibly catchy, sexy and reminded me of a summer night cruising through the city while looking at the skyline and smoking some good herb. New York hip-hop has been my top selection ever since I can remember when I first developed a love for underground rap and hip-hop. I’d put Nas, Kool G Rap, Wu Tang Clan, MF Doom, Mobb Deep among other artists on shuffle but lately, I’ve sparked curiosity for artists from the West Coast and the South- so that definitely enabled me to expand my horizons musically. I had OutKast and UGK incorporated into a random hip-hop playlist I compiled together, then PUTS, The Pharcyde, and Dilated Peoples were added along with other artists- Alchemist making an appearance and the playlist began to expand. I immediately delved into the song “Real Life” and decided to watch the music video and research who produced that song. I discovered two men in the video who looked very familiar to me and it began to click, Cypress Hill was in that music video with Kool G Rap and I looked up the group members of Cypress Hill soon after, seeing that the same producer of Real Life was a man named DJ Muggs. Sure this was a recent discovery for me but it was magical. There he was - he piqued my interest not only physically, but as soon as I kept on listening to more of Cypress Hill, I discovered that he produced a plethora of songs over the course of 30 + years and eventually, I became enamored by his music and persona. He created an entire musical Collective called Soul Assassins well outside of just his Cypress Hill fame. He has worked with artists from many different genres of music over the decades and has even scored music for several films. Incredible. He even acted in a Soul Assassins movie that is being released soon. I have never seen any other music producer really go beyond their own limits like Muggs. Coincidently, DJ Muggs is originally from Queens, exactly where Kool G is from so he decided to incorporate New York sound into some of his productions while switching back to Latino-influenced hip-hop fused with dark, hazy beats that he sampled from other genres that essentially was Cypress Hill’s identity. I noticed that Muggs has been currently working with another Queens-based rapper, Meyhem Lauren, who slightly reminds me of a cross between Biggy and Kool G Rap. It’s refreshing to see this creative dude tap back into his NY roots.
I would get lost in some of his songs. His music touched me so significantly in unique ways that nobody’s music has ever had the same effect on me- not even some of the DJ’s I grew up listening to, such as DJ Shadow, Cut Chemist, Herbie Hancock and more. I began to watch his interviews and listen to more of his music. A few songs in particular, including General Principles featuring Wu Tang’s talented GZA the Genius, was on repeat and got me through some incredibly melancholy, dark and fucked up thoughts that made me reevaluate where I wanted to go with my life. Where I’ve been, isn’t it. Call it an outlet, it doesn’t matter. It helped me not want to throw myself out of a window. My apologies for anybody that is triggered seeing this, but I have to be sincere. I’m over those thoughts now, please rest assure.
Going back to the topic of Wu Tang Clan, seeing the game of chess incorporated into hiphop music especially how much of it is spoken about in Wu’s lyrics, was so refreshing to see. Reminded me of my childhood when I used to play chess, but I wasn’t any good. I even began to appreciate Cypress Hill more and discovered that B Real is also a chess player. I can honestly say that Cypress Hill is one of my all time favorite music groups aside from Muggs’ production. I love B Real and Sen Dog’s chemistry and lyrical flow. I like Eric Bobo’s drumming style. Where have I been all these years? Speaking of years, S/O to all of the other artists you’ve worked with throughout the years.
There is something about you that just draws me in. But I feel dejected that my efforts have lead me to nowhere. What entices me the most about you, is that raw energy that you bring to the table, your unapologetic and brash nature yet how subtle and humble you are. You always remain somewhat of a mystery to your audience and I can’t help but feel excited to listen to one of your songs.  You’re so versatile that you can work with any music genre besides hip-hop. You don’t necessarily like to conform but try to stick to maybe more of that and not really focusing on what your male listeners care about - half nude women in music videos. You’re much better than that with extraordinary talents in music and the visions you have. Who can forget your “Muggstep” phase back in 2011-2013? So incredibly cute. Trust me when I say, that’s the side of you that arouses me. You intimidated me but in a way, if I spent enough time with you, I’d feel comfortable around you. Your dark complexion, aqua colored eyes, rugged and distinctive features are only a small portion of what’s attractive about you. The way you spin around 180 degrees on the turntables, just like you did during the DMC competition during your youth, nothing changed and I love that about you. You’re full of life. You even hold up gang signs like it’s a fashion statement and look mellow yet assertive doing so — the confidence you exude, the way you effortlessly put together melodies in such a harmonious way. You even did backup rapping for Cypress Hill back in the day, I remember that. There is nothing you cannot do musically even if you took up a new instrument. Your talents are unparalleled. Your rebellious nature is unwavering.
Aside from your music, even though I don’t know you on a personal level, I tried to achieve that and failed because I was anxious and scared shitless. I don’t know if you realize that. I only know what I have seen on the surface level but I'm mostly a blank canvas to you. I think you may be genuine and you actually are loyal and care about your fan base. You have probably had an overwhelming amount of fans and groupies try to win your over attention but my goal hasn’t even been that. I care more about your life, upbringing and what made you continue being passionate about music. Your wealth, popularity and fame hasn’t been important to me. It’s just you as a person, but I don’t want to get into semantics and I’ll just leave it at that for now.
Either way, I would apologize because you didn’t do anything wrong - that was my bad. If I could take it back, I would. You’re someone who I value even if we don’t personally know one another. It’s not as though I can easily communicate with you, it’s not really feasible thus I’m going to try to once again— leave it alone for now. It’s too fresh. If you happen to see this, I hope you know that you are unique, you are a visionary, you are creative and you are someone I would probably never get bored speaking with. Unfortunately, my anxiety and nerves interfered and you did not see the positive sides of me when we did briefly meet. I hope that I’m not overstepping anything but if I could get another chance to see you and maybe speak to you, I’d do it in a heartbeat, under different circumstances that is. Thanks for making incredible beats and being generous to your fans. Thanks for pushing weed legalization and getting on the SNL stage 30 years ago, lighting that joint and not giving a damn. You made a statement. You’re bold, never afraid to push the envelope, are hardworking and unlike any music maker out there.
For any haters who don’t support you, they have poor taste and fail to understand you. You think I may one of those people but I wouldn’t be writing this entry in my blog if that was the case. I’ve always supported you until I became bitter and upset. So I want to try and know you better, not just on the surface level. I haven’t taken any of this lightly and I broke down because sometimes, I don’t know what I’m even doing truthfully and it’s an unsettling feeling. To meet someone important to me and have it backfire, was not my intention. My life isn’t at all where I want it to be but I won’t get further into that now. What I can say, is that you’ve indirectly inspired me to write more about music, create content and do different things that I never envisioned myself doing. I’m becoming more fearless now, am starting to take better care of myself mentally and physically and am finding ways to get out of my comfort zone. I’ve learned how to stand my ground and no longer put up with anybody’s shit thanks to you. I wish I could forget all of this and move on, but I don’t think I’ll be able to. In the interim, I don’t have much of a choice. I have to handle a lot of important matters but you’re definitely still on my mind. It’s unfortunate that I didn’t pursue your music or your life story sooner but you’ve indirectly done a lot for me through your music.
Our families are both European immigrants. We’re 20 years apart. Dali is one of my favorite artists and I was the Dali museum in Florida. Fell in love. There are many layers I want to peel away if you allow me to.
I’m giving credit where credit it due. Never forget how rare you are. You will influence so many other artists for years to come, however, nobody will be able to replicate you. It’s just a generational thing. The way you grew up listening to your uncle’s classic rock records and the street environment you grew up in — helped shape your music style. It’s simply engrained in you. So in general terms, someone either has it or they don’t. You were simply born to make music.
Take care of yourself. You have my respect.
