A tornado hit my town last night. You can see it in the lightning flashes. I was just vibing in bed listening to the thunder when the wind changed its tune and shit started hitting one side of the house. I saw a post by a local storm chaser saying a tornado had touched down before the official warning went out on the phone and the sirens began. This thing came out of nowhere, there wasn't even a severe storm warning for the storm in my area. It knocked over a ton of trees and power lines, severed gas lines, destroyed structures in a park, and shredded a warehouse, but nobody was hurt or killed. My house was only a couple blocks away, no damage thankfully. There was at least one other tornado generated by this storm.
We had record high temps, tornadoes, and now snow in less than 24 hours. Feburary has been fuckin wild this year.
Footage of my school/cemetery's resident Federal Signal 2001-SRN model siren turning and winding down for the noon test on Wednesday, May 1st, 2024. Everything looks up to standard! She sounds like a dream too. Wish I could've got video of her spinning up and starting her wail, but alas, I am in business class and forgot the test was today.
Hype bc my new job is just down the street from SRN
(I work at a bakery)
It was like a 2-3 block walk over here
Ended up "giving the cupcake to her" (removing the wrapping and setting it down on the grass next to the base of her pole, as a "snack" (she can't eat, but the birds and bugs sure can)
Me thinking the storm from earlier has blown over so I haul ass to my neighborhood Aldi. As soon as I get in the store everyone’s phones in the store start going off with warning alerts and the tornado sirens start blaring. Lol awesome 😂
It stormed like last week. We got a tornado warning during the day, then it expired, and then the tornado sirens went off again when it got darker out. The sirens and the lighting just make it so much better.
