Your opponent's wrist is from whence the attack is born. It is its past tense from which it cannot separate itself.
The end of the blade, where the attack arrives, is its present tense, which also cannot be denied.
How exactly is one supposed to watch two points in space at the same time?
Practice.
All warfare is the same. Two questions are of paramount importance... who was my opponent yesterday, and who is he today?

At the beginning of the Kenobi series I was really hesitant about them giving Reva a name. To me, it feels like one of the things that has always defined the Inquisitors is that they never use their names. Honestly, I doubt some of them even use their real names, even in their heads.
The ‘_ Sister/Brother’ thing really easily puts you in mind of a cult, and that’s exactly the right idea for what the Inquisitors are. They’re stolen, traumatized people (mostly children) who were tortured and forced to turn on everything they were to survive. Lack of agency is key in their stories.
That’s why Reva works so well, though. It’s not the writers giving her a name because it’s easier, it’s them subtly subverting it from episode one. Lack of agency might be key in the other Inquisitor’s stories, it’s what makes Trilla’s death so tragic, but the point of Reva is that she has agency. She wasn’t forced to the Dark Side, she embraced it. She wasn’t captured by the Inquisitors, she went to them.
She doesn’t have yellow eyes because she doesn’t serve the Empire. She doesn’t wear a mask because she isn’t another faceless Inquisitor. She uses her real name because she has agency. She has choice, and in the end, she chooses to let go of that hate and anger. She chooses to save Luke. She chooses to come back to the Light. She puts the stupid spinning Inquisitor Saber down, and she frees herself.
God, the writing for this show is incredible.

[initial reactions] Obi-Wan Kenobi series
I can see how this show was a movie first because there was so much back and forth that wasn't needed. It was positively Classic Who.
Baby Leia was adorable and so was Lola. Also the callbacks and references to Anakin and Ahsoka's duel in Star Wars Rebels. Tala dying with her droid :(.
Also, Anakin is even no, especially as Vader is still so, so dramatic.
Reva's story though was so interesting. She was one of the younglings, who decided to, amidst all the abuse, avenge her friends and family to kill Anakin. Deep undercover and the twist to learning Reva's real mission is so interesting.
She sacrificed so many things to reach her goal and then turned her hurt and anger into a convenient target just like what Anakin did in Revenge of the Sith but then at the last second not do what Anakin did and stay her hand from killing Luke.
After all, ever since the start, Star Wars is about second chances.
I wonder if someone could edit the show down to movie length, and make it tighter that way?
I would love to see Reva in another series.

This show such a perfect bridge between the prequels and the original trilogy. And not only that it does so much to actually tell you that darth vader IS anakin skywalker cause even though that is something i know, sometimes I have such a hard time believing it.

Rex: So General Kenobi, how come you speak mando'a?
Obi-Wan: I've always been interested in the culture and I spent a year on Mandalore for a mission in my youth :)
Rex: I see, what about you, General Skywalker?
Anakin: Huh? Oh Obi-Wan used to drop me off in mando daycare when he went to get laid in little Keldabe, fun times, they taught me how to headbutt someone.

OBI-WAN KENOBI (2022)
I am not your failure, Obi-Wan. You didn’t kill Anakin Skywalker. I did. The same way I will destroy you!

There sure are a lot of Takes about Reva.
I think the only wrong thing that happened there was leaving Reva's true motivations until the penultimate episode. They should've revealed it in the second or third episode.
Also, she was a deep cover agent who went too far in her cover in order to achieve her goal and ultimately failed and there lay her tragedy.
She's a level or above Cassian Andor in terms of being morally compromised.
Maybe I watch too many spy thrillers but it actually didn't bother me about Reva's story. I just wish they revealed her motivations early because people really thought she was a sith when really in terms of Jedi, she's a Shadow.
It would be a shame if we never got to see Reva again when Kallus got an entire redemption arc.
I loved Kallus's story and his eventual friendship with Zeb.
