Forgiveness is Electric
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just a little short story about @critterbitter's hc of Emmet, Ingo, and Elesa. This is between the Volume Control and Volume Control (Reprise). Just a tiny change, Emmet caught Tynamo bc I sort of forgot when he did... My bad. Please go take a look at Critter's work, it is beautiful in every sense of the word.
I lied about posting to AO3 last time with Yearning for Wood Floors, but I will update that soon along with this one.
Enjoy!~
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
“I do not think she will like those.”
“Who doesn’t love sweets?”
Ingo argued, plucking a box of Snom-Caps and turning it over and over in his hands. He contemplated the choices of candy in the aisle, the teenage clerk puffing their long, purple-streaked hair from their eyes behind the counter as the two children agonized over their decision. The clerk, Dakota, saw Ingo and Emmet in here all the time, the former had something of a sweet tooth and the latter… Well, whatever the opposite of a sweet tooth was, that was Emmet. The kid just loved sour things.
It wasn’t unusual to see them, but it didn’t usually take this long for them to make their selection. They had been there for nearly fifteen minutes, painstakingly reading each and every label and discussing them in hushed undertones. That was unusual by itself. Ingo was not known for his volume control.
Although unusual, they weren’t worried about them doing anything shady like stealing or being careless and knock things off the shelf. Might as well let them go about their business. To pass the time, they watched the fretful newly acquired Tynamo circle around them faster and faster until Emmet snatched the Pokémon deftly from the air and soothingly stroked its back.
“I am Emmet. We do not know what she likes.”
“We must do something! I just feel so dreadful.”
Emmet could see Ingo working himself up over this, just as he had a few hours ago, and Emmet placed a reassuring hand on his brother’s arm. His smile and eyes softened as his twin turned to him, Ingo’s eyes glittering with emotion and whatever proclamation dying on the back of his tongue.
He hadn’t meant it. He really hadn’t. He always got too loud when he was excited.
It had just backfired on him horribly.
Ingo cringed even now as he remembered the tears in her eyes, her hands slapped over her ears, and eyes huge with confusion and pain. She had run off before he could even apologize, and that knowledge was eating him alive all day.
Candy wouldn’t fix this. In his heart of hearts, he knew that, and maybe he had come here to grab himself some of his favorite snacks to ease the pain of losing a potential friend.
It was hard for them to understand others. Emmet and Ingo were so in-sync with each other that everyone seemed to be moving so much slower by comparison. It was like playing charades with someone who was underwater, the twins made perfect sense to one another, but it was unclear to everyone else.
This was not new to them, but it didn’t make it any less frustrating.
With their moms being busy with work and their uncle who didn’t have much interest with them most times, Emmet and Ingo came to rely on each other almost exclusively. Drayden would give them a little bit of pocket change, but never much. They had to be ultraconservative with what he gave them and had taken it upon themselves to run around Anville Town to take little odd jobs.
Leaves to rake? Oran berries to pick? Snow to shovel?
Emmet and Ingo did it all and saved what they could. They barely scraped together the money to purchase the Pokéballs needed to catch Tynamo and for additional balls to try and catch Ingo a starter.
Even though they knew everyone, they weren’t really close to anyone in town.
That could have been different if Ingo hadn’t ruined everything!
“Perhaps sweets are not the solution…”
Ingo finally admitted, setting the box down and rising to his feet. Readjusting his cap on his head and dusting off his knees to unconsciously tidy his appearance, Ingo’s frown deepened in thought. Even if he and Emmet apologized to her, Miss Elesa would not understand them. Drat! If only he had remembered her hearing aids, he had completely forgotten them tucked behind her black hair.
Emmet watched his face scrunch up, clearly having a long inner dialogue with himself where he alternatively berated himself and told himself that there was no crying over spilled milk. Gray eyes scanning the shelf, he took a bag of sour gummy-Bewear for himself, and chocolate covered pretzels for his brother, before hauling them to the counter where Dakota waited.
Tynamo drifted just below his elbow, still quite nervous around new people and often retreating to its ball when too anxious. Emmet’s soft encouragement was the only thing keeping the EleFish out while Dakota rang up both bags.
“Tynamo? Good for you, kiddo. I hear they’re not easy to catch.”
They rested their elbows on the counter, chin resting atop with a kind smile to the quieter twin. Dakota could see him beaming with pride, but he merely nodded, shuffling on the spot while he fished in the pocket of his overalls for some money. His Tynamo, like its trainer, seemed a little bashful at their words, and retreated into its ball.
“200… I think you brother is comatose over there.”
Dakota said not unkindly. Emmet jerked his head to where his brother stood motionless in front of the candy.
“Ingo!”
It was Ingo’s turn to jerk out of his, as Dakota had put it, “comatose state”. He trotted over to his side, staring at the bags of candies with confusion before it all seemed to click into place.
“You did not have to spend your pocket money on me.”
Emmet’s smile softened at the bashful note in his sibling’s voice. He wanted to. Ingo was feeling down, his twin often overthinking problems and burning himself out in the process. Emmet liked to take a step back to listen and reflect on people and conversations. A little break would do Ingo some good, so he insisted on the treats.
“I am Emmet. I wanted to. Yup!”
While Dakota bagged their treats in a small brown paper bag, they couldn’t help but lean over the counter to examine them. Although many people didn’t understand the secret code that the twins exchanged between glances, mouth twitches, and hand movements, Dakota could tell something was awry. Withholding the bag, they leaned over the counter with a faintly curious expression and a light tone.
“You guys alright?”
Unsurprisingly, the two exchanged looks, and a wordless conversation was held between them while Dakota waited. It was Ingo who swiveled his head back to face them, his face knit into a calculating grimace that seemed a little less friendly than usual, but only marginally.
“Yes,” he said slowly, eyes not breaking with the clerk, but they could see him shifting uncomfortably. “Emmet and I are attempting to right a wrong. However, we are encountering several roadblocks.”
There is a pause. Dakota still held the bag just out of reach as they gnawed on their lower lip. This wasn’t really their business, and they weren’t the type to stick their nose in where it didn’t belong… They thought of Drayden, who spent a lot of time in Opelucid and not watching his nephews – he barely spent any time with them.
They’re just kids.
“Do you need some help? It’s my job to help customers in the store y’know.”
Another pause. Another exchange of glances.
“I-” Ingo tries to being, already hard pressed to say anything and even less so when his sibling elbowed him in the ribs and shot him a look. He wouldn’t be allowed to take all the blame. “We upset one of our classmates with our carelessness. We think she was attempting to befriend us, but- uh… there were a few errors on our part.”
“And you’re trying to get candy for her to forgive you?”
“We thought about it, but it grew too complicated. We do not know what candy she likes, but more importantly, we do not think it’s a suitable apology.”
The clerk nodded, tapping the counter in thought as they tried to piece together some genuine advice for the boys.
“I think it’s a nice peace offering, but I think an apology would be better.”
“We broke her hearing aids… Yep…”
Emmet croaked suddenly, shrinking back in shame at the same time that Ingo grabbed the brim of his hat to tug it lower over his eyes.
“Ah,” Dakota hummed, tapping the counter even faster. They meant the new family that moved in from Sinnoh. They remembered their dads talking about the new signs that had to go all over town for the girl’s safety. Dakota couldn’t remember her name. “How did you break them?” They asked, already knowing the answer.
“Volume control.”
Ingo cringed, remembering his uncle’s warning about his naturally loud voice. Inside voice, Drayden had been emphasizing, and Ingo was trying to take those words to heart, but it was difficult. Since Ingo’s face didn’t emote well, he relied on his voice and his movement to articulate his emotions to others. They nod sympathetically.
“You didn’t see them?”
“No…”
The boy was squirming now, his shame and embarrassment with the situation reaching an all-time high. He felt Emmet moving to his side, reassuringly pressing against his arm, and resting his head on his twin’s shoulder. A flood of comfort helped Ingo release a breath he hadn’t realized he had been holding.
Behind the counter, the clerk was rummaging through something – although tall for their age, Emmet and Ingo couldn’t see what they were doing. They heaved a box onto the counter, tipping it so the contents spilled out for them to see, and the boys were confused.
“Headphones?”
Emmet leaned forward on his tiptoes to look at the colorful array of boxes that ranged from normal headphones to ones that had Pikachu and Eevee ears topping them.
“Yeah, uh, maybe if she wears these, you’ll remember right away that she has headphones in.”
It was a half-baked idea. In truth, Dakota felt a bit sheepish about it now that the idea was out of their head, but when they looked up, the boys were beaming – well, Emmet beamed. Ingo reminded of them of their friend’s Purrloin in a way they couldn’t quite put their finger on.
“Bravo! What a marvelous suggestion!”
Ingo practically cheered, stepping beside Emmet to look through the headphones. It was probably going to cost them a bit from the tags on the boxes, but it would be worth it. The headphones would immediately remind Ingo that she had hearing aids in so he would be more inclined to get Miss Elesa’s attention in a different fashion, but it also might do the same for others who were unaware of her deafness.
“Sure – er, thank you…” Dakota was looking at the prices now and mentally smacked their forehead. They probably couldn’t afford the headphones. “I’ll-” They hesitate. It almost pained them to say what they were going to next. “I’ll pay for them so you can take them to her now.” The twins’ eyes went wide, both about to protest when Dakota interrupted, “In exchange, you can do a few chores for me at my place. I need to do some yardwork, but it always gives me hay fever. Sound like a deal?”
The answer was easy for them. Dakota told them to pick ones that they thought Miss Elesa would like.
“I think these ones are quite dashing.”
Ingo said, picking up the box with the Pikachu ears. Emmet pursed his lips and shook his head.
“Nope. Too big. Not a gamer girl.”
They continued to rummage through the boxes. They agreed that she must like Electric types. She had a Blitzle as her partner after all.
“I cannot recall, she is from Hoenn, correct?”
Emmet shrugged, unsure himself because they had both been looking through a magazine with an expose on the newest train lines running out of Nimbasa when she had been introduced. That just meant to them that, when the time came, going on their Pokémon journey by rail would be all the easier.
“Not sure.” He looked at the box Ingo had in his hand and his smile broadened, nodding in agreement to his brother’s unasked query. The perfect balance of subtle but stylish. “I am Emmet. Those are perfect.”
Plusle and Minun headphones.

Do you think you'll draw the nimbasa trio catching their first Pokemon that's not their starter on their journey?
Definitely! It’s just a matter of getting there, haha. I am but one vaguely man shaped blob with a hyperfixation. Mortal needs like sleep and hand pains stop me from vomiting every brain idea I have.
I actually got this question multiple times, so to answer! I am not going to be drawing the nimbasa trio getting another pokemon until their late teens unless a brainworm strikes. (So no new pokemon during the current snapshot series haha.)
Why?
From a canon perspective, well:
Most npc trainers you meet on route have 2-4 pokemon, so I’m gonna try to keep within that amount until the trio settles in Nimbasa and have the revenue/space to upkeep a full pokemon team.
From a meta perspective, wellllll:
Another caught pokemon means character development, and I, ah... right now, I just wanna draw a candle, a zebra, and an eel. I love painting. But fitting seven or more characters on a canvas is, er… Make me draw more guys and I’ll melt like a vanniluxe on a summer day.
If people are curious for some pokemon headcannons though (note that this is not canon— pokemon gave me a puddle of information, so I’m taking the shovel to dig an ocean.)
- ingo saw a colony of dwebble collecting rocks while in the desert, and he’s been enamored ever since. He’s been trying to convince a dwebble to join his team for a while. Unfortunately, Ingo’s very excited and dwebble are naturally shy. (It doesn’t help that litwick can get mean when jealous.)
- emmet loves double battles and teams up with a lot of wild pokemon— but he doesn’t click with anybody until much further in the future. Me thinks his expectations are a tad too high from having such a good start with tynamo. He’s worked with multiple growlithes and thinks Helping Hand is the coolest shit ever.
- emmet’s first “caught” pokemon would be archen. More like “lab grown” and “lovingly hatched”, but it’s the thought that counts. Thinking once again about squab archen…
- elesa found her two emolga in the trash. She was going to release them after fostering, but got attached.
For future plans:
(The pokemon the twins live with and are officially part of the team (named at what stage the twins meet them! Note that everybody becomes fully evolved at somepoint.)
Ingo— litwick, dwebble, drillbur, and axew.
Emmet— tynamo, archen(lint roller), joltik, and durant.
They also have pokemon coworkers that don’t live with them, but agree to help in battles for exp and wages— kliklank twins, garbadore, shelmet and karablast, boldore (atlas), and gurdur)
And for our favorite electric gym leader:
Elesa— blitzle, the emolga twins (em and molga), stunfisk, mareep
(She has pokemon coworkers Eelektross (eela), zebrastrika (motorbreak), and Galvulanta (Lanta) who have a similar set up to the twins— the pokemon agree to work with Elesa for exp and wages, but otherwise have their own lives.)
(Fun headcanon: pokemon who are raised by humans tend to keep human nicknames. It’s not always the case, but it’s a common enough trend for research studies.)

Introductions
Greetings, my name is Meta, I am a 19 year old in the Locasol continent, Necrozi Sector located in Ultra Space. As a child, Necrozma saved my life from some aggressive Pokémon, and we formed a close bond.
I am set to inherit the Church of Light, an organization based on promoting the grandeur of Necrozma, and its status as a divine ruler. However, I don’t believe in the cause. The organization is blinded by disillusionment of light, and have shunned the history of our nation in favor of their beliefs.
I like battling, and I often help guide promising trainers throughout the gym challenge. If you ever want to battle, I’m more than willing to fight!
My Team
Terrabyte, the Locasolian Garchomp. He is a fast and powerful Steel/Dragon type that specializes in shaking the earth and taking out opponents with blinding force. He’s a bit showoff-ish, but he’s an old friend of mine!
Nunca, the Electross. She’s a bulky powerhouse that specializes in a varied onslaught of special attacks. I found her as a young Tynamo being attacked by a flock of Devisoars. She’s shy around others, but loves being pet.
Cesar, the Kommo-o. He’s a balanced attacker that fights for the long haul, and building stat boosts to sweep opponents. He was my starter, and we’ve relied on each other through thick and thin. He can get a bit rough, but he’s scared of comets.
Eon, the Spiritomb. They are a mysterious group, they are. They always “speak” in riddles or roundabout ways. In battle, they tend to confuse opponents before striking with ferocity. I’ve had them for a few months now, after finding it weakened in Starfield Meadows.
Ryu, the Machamp. He’s a gutsy troublemaker! He’s always showing off, breaking things to lift or chop to impress/compete with anyone who walks past! He is all offense, no defense, he has no guard, and no sense of self preservation in battle.
Pyro, the Explosha. She’s a feisty Fire/Electric type. Exploshas are the Fire type final evolution starter from the Verohn region, in another universe. She attacks with no mercy, never holding back on an enemy, burning and shocking the daylight outta them.
New members:
Guts, the Braviary. He’s a courageous and valiant flier that tends to overpower and wear out opponents while avoiding damage. I caught him while on a business trip to the Stello Sector.
Clamps, the Siczor. She’s a timid, yet empowering force that crushes foes’ spirits and wills with speed and status! A really good friend of mine traded me her a few months ago, and we’ve been getting along good!
Asks are always welcome, and I’ll try to answer every question ASAP!
Farewell, or as they say here in Locasol: “May the stars shine bring to home”

Oof Imagine Drayden getting news that one of his nephews, the boy he raised, disappears and stays gone for years. Then the first year into the disappearance he gets a call that his other remaining nephew nearly committed suic*de. (He didn't actually but Drayden doesn't know he just passed out from exhaustion until after he gets the call from the hospital and drops everything to see Emmet.) If Arceus can't interfere by itself it at least needs to pay for the family therapy plan somehow.
Oh no… I know this ask is more serious, what with Drayden worrying for his poor boys, but now all I can think about is Arceus sending in Mesprit to be their divinely provided therapist. And Akari being oddly supportive of this idea since the lake guardian apparently helped her during her banishment from the Galaxy Team 🤣
But the serious answer:
For this au Drayden took the boys in when they were about 9 years old. Their mom, Draydens sister, had passed away the year before, and their father had walked out on them after deciding parenting the twins alone was too much for him after loosing his wife. Drayden was furious at their father for being so selfish, as if the boys hadn’t lost their mother and himself his sister.
Draydens youngest kid, Iris’s parent, had just moved out around this time, so the dragon master had plenty of space for the twins. He was honestly relieved to have them, the house felt too empty for him to live alone in. He did his best to welcome them in, doing extensive research before hand so he could be supportive for their needs.
While the boys were shy at first, Emmet only speaking to Ingo when he spoke at all, their shared love of pokemon and battles soon bridge the gap between them. From there their bond only grew.
He was so proud of Emmet the day he came home with a young Tynamo he had befriended. He had then been supportive of Ingo when he came home with a Litwick he and Emmet had found when they had visited their mothers grave. The ghost pokemon was friendly and didn’t hold any ill intent for the children, so she was welcomed to the family.
There were many proud fatherly moments for Drayden in the years to come. From the days of their Pokémon journey, to the days they had been first hired at the subways station. The later had been their first steps at achieving their dreams to combine their two greatest passions, trains and pokemon battling.
So, years later, when Drayden got the call that Ingo had gone missing, it was every parents nightmare. He assured himself and others that Ingo was a grown capable adult and a master trainer, so it was only a mater of time for his safe return. But then his pokemon had been found alone, and as the weeks turned to months there was still no sign of Ingo.
Drayden and most all the other gym leaders pitched in to help with the search for Ingo. When speculation started to grow that Emmet, of all people, could have had something to do with Ingo’s disappearance, Dryden was one of the first to defend him.
Drayden then suffered another Parents Worst Nightmare when he got the call about Emmet hospitalization after a suspected life ending attempt. Like you said, Drayden dropped everything to go to him. Even when he learned the truth of the mater he insisted on continuing to be there for his nephew. The scare was too much and he was not going to let Emmet spiral any further.
Emmet does start going to therapist after this, which is a huge relief to many who care about him. Drayden and Iris make sure to reach out to him and visit/invite him over more regularly.
Emmet has a good network of support, so even at the worst of the backlash he suffers from the murder theorist, he does have someone ready to be there for him.

You are challenged by young twins Tyna and Irida!
Tumblr media
These are my thirdrailshipping kids Tyna and Irida
(That being Ingo x elesa/elesa x Emmet. nothing like that between the boys. Theyre just both with elesa)
Tyna (named after tynamo) is a brave to a fault child, with little to no self preservation. Will often drag her twin with her. likes making problems on purpose. Will throw hands for her twin.
Irida (named after pearl clan leader irida) is very shy and sensitive. Easily cries and is afraid of many bug type Pokemon. Less afraid of a wild garchomp than a harmless Caterpie.
They are both five and a half.

Ohhh 'beautiful' for the blankshipping, just like your writing uwu....would love if it was a little spicy to~
Hello Anon! (。・∀・)ノ
-Send me a “Whatever” and I’ll write whatever you ask for
with "Beautiful" replacing "Whatever."
Want a little spice, hm? Okay, let's give this a shot! I'm gonna clock this as pre-Hisui. 🤔
Title: The Beauty in Me and You Word count: 1,825
All of their lives, despite being identical twins, people had considered him beautiful while calling Emmet, at most, 'cute.' When they were younger, it rested heavily on the tongues of those around them, and his late teens had been the first time someone had brought the word to him as a compliment. His answer to anyone who approached him with it never changed, a simple thank you, and then continuing with his business.
Someone who called only him beautiful had never truly looked at Emmet. And, to be quite improper, he had no interest in the opinions of such people.
They never saw Emmet as he did, completely missing the way he glowed when he won a challenging battle, or finally saw results in his stat-breeding attempts. They had never seen how Emmet looked when he cried, over simple things like dropping his ice cream as a child, or more serious things like when he had broken his arm protecting Tynamo from a wild pokémon. People thought they understood his ferocity, but never saw the beauty in it, the strength that radiated from him.
Emmet's determination, his joy, his excitement - all of his vibrant emotions made him the most beautiful person in the world, and no one seemed to recognize it.
Even now, as Emmet worked in the kitchen, sleeves rolled up to his elbows, he was impossible to look away from. It was the domestic moments where Emmet relaxed and was 'just' his little brother, not a Subway Master, that felt like some of the most special. They didn't have to maintain any public appearance, or set an example, or keep from being close to each other.
It wasn't as though they didn't touch each other out in the public eye. His twin would still smile and wave at him when they were at work, eyes lit up with unrestrained excitement to see him. Emmet would stand up from his own desk only to dramatically drape himself over Ingo, complaining about the late night work. They leaned against each other when they fell asleep on days where a promising challenger had never made it to their last battle.
But here, in their home, Emmet didn't shy away from closer displays of affection. They'd held hands often when they were younger, but in the last few years, Emmet was only really comfortable when he knew no one was looking. Emmet willingly put his head in his lap, innocent enough, but it allowed him to run his fingers through his twin's hair, give Emmet the caresses that his hands craved. Affectionate kisses on the forehead, cheek, and the top of his head were appreciated with the sweetest giggle he could imagine coming from anyone.
He didn't trust himself to try anything further than that, aware that if he pushed too far, he might not stop. Lingering kisses elsewhere would progress to catching his twins lips, grinding their hips tightly together until Emmet's voice pitched up in a whine against his seeking mouth. Wandering touches would become hoisting him up on top of their work desks, pushing his knees to his ears, and doing something wholly inappropriate, both as brothers and professionals.
His younger twin was too precious to have that foisted unnecessarily on him, unwilling to needlessly push the boundary that he would have happily crossed if he knew Emmet felt the same. For now, he would keep himself restrained to the touches he already allowed himself. But that didn't mean he couldn't watch Emmet, appreciate him from afar.
----
Sometimes, usually when they were alone, he noticed Ingo staring at him.
That 'sometimes' included now! While he was experimenting with a new recipe, he'd turned just right to catch Ingo, intense gaze focused on him. It was different from Ingo's other intense looks, all of which he knew as well as his own face. Cause they were, you know, twins? Ahaha... a joke as lame as Elesa's.
But truthfully, Ingo was verrrry bad at expressions, and even worse at realizing it. Almost every look Ingo gave was mistaken for intensity and focus. The impression that Ingo was always cool and composed followed him everywhere. People had taken to calling him 'the cool beauty of the Subway."
Emmet found it verrry funny. Not because Ingo wasn't beautiful. Oh no, Ingo was more beautiful than anyone! No, it was funny because others thought telling Ingo's twin brother about Ingo's beauty got them anywhere.
He already knew all of it!
To think Ingo was only 'beautiful' was also funny. To describe when Ingo laughed himself sick over one train pun as beautiful was too simple. Ingo pulling his cap down, trying to hide his sorrow wasn't beautiful, it was so much more. How amazing Ingo was when he defended him during their childhood, beautiful in a way, but so innately powerful too.
Being able to see every angle, every expression that Ingo was capable of-! It was no surprise that feelings beyond brotherhood had grown in his heart. And still, people walked right up to him! They begged advice on how to woo Ingo. What could they do to get Ingo to look at them, consider them worthy of dating?
If he knew, he would have used it for himself!
So he always just laughed, and told them he didn't know. It was true, which was important! You mustn't lie. Not to a direct question, at least. It wasn't lying if you never said it in the first place.
But, the look Ingo was giving him now? It was a newer one, and he didn't have context for it yet. Well, he *did* have an imagined context, even if it was verrry wrong. It was a look he often imagined in his fantasies, ones that he conjured up when he was frustrated enough to touch himself. A smolder, accompanied by Ingo's voice telling him how forbidden touching him was, but going full speed ahead anyway.
Forcing away the shiver, he turned away before the blush could spread. He was in the kitchen, wrist deep in dough! He couldn't get caught up in fantasies, especially if Ingo was watching him. Clearing his throat, eyes firmly in the bowl he held, he spoke up. "Hey, Ingo?"
Ingo, his arms resting on the table in front of him, tilted his head just slightly. "Yes, Emmet?" There wasn't actually anything he wanted to say. The silence had just gotten to be too much. Ingo's eyes didn't move, and hearing him speak didn't distract from the weight of his gaze. A cluster of unhelpful sounds clouded in his mind, none of them proper answers.
"Nothing, just wanted to say your name." Oh. That was less helpful than the sounds. He chanced a glance at Ingo and knew his fight against the blush had ended in his defeat. The look that had sprung to Ingo's face was a whole other level. It was a combination of 'deep in thought Ingo' and the look he still didn't have a true context for. Trying to identify it turned him towards Ingo entirely, while Ingo stayed exactly the way he was.
They held the impromptu staring contest until he heard a clatter behind him. Turning to see Archeops in the process of tugging a wayward baby Joltik out of the prepped ingredients, he jumped when there were suddenly arms around his middle.
"Emmet, I have something very important to ask of you, and I need you to answer as honestly as you can. Do you understand?" Ingo's voice, the same timbre as in his fantasies, was right at his ear, his twin's chest pressed against his back. He nodded, because what else could he do? All his mind could focus on was Ingo's hands on him, the heat of their bodies pressed together. "Good boy."
Oh god, if Ingo expected a focused and real answer after that, he might be disappointed.
Ingo's breath puffed at the back of his neck as his twin considered his words. It was a relief when Ingo finally spoke, giving him something to focus on over the feel of his brother so close. "Our bond is precious to me, and it surely is to you, too. But, if you are willing, I would like to remove any barrier between us."
Thankfully, thankfully, he held back his first instinct of a squeaked out 'yeAH OKay.' Instead, he very responsibly put the bowl down on the counter in front of him. He wiped his hands off. However, there was no hiding the eager tone to his voice. "I am Emmet, and I want that verrrry much."
Ingo's grip on him tightened, and this time he couldn't stop the squeak. "I am glad," Ingo whispered against the back of his neck, before licking a stripe up from his shirt collar to his hair line. A shiver jolted up his spine, and he bucked his hips back. The low, shuddering moan pulled from his brother just encouraged him to do it again.
In response, Ingo grabbed his hips and pressed him bodily against the counter. The little 'ah' that escaped him earned him a nip at the side of his throat. Another grind against him had him leaning forward, pushing the bowl out of the way. His head was already turning fuzzy and warm.
"Nii-san-!" His cheeks became hot at the whine already in his voice. Ingo hummed against his neck, hands enthusiastically caressing up and down the outside of his hips, moving further inward with every swipe. "Not-- I don't want to... in the kitchen..."
His older brother pulled away, and he couldn't stop the groan of disappointment. But Ingo immediately grabbed his hand and tugged him the short distance to the dining room table. "Better?" he teased, catching him in a kiss even as he pressed him back first against the table.
"Yes, much!" Using the table to hold himself up, he hooked one leg around Ingo's leg. He wasn't going to let Ingo do all of the teasing. Rolling his hips, he bit into the kiss. It was the right move, because Ingo all but growled into his mouth, deepening the kiss even more.
Ingo's hands gripped his ass, and hauled him up onto the table, moving in between his legs. A gasp at the movement broke the kiss but Ingo refused to let the distance stay between them, claiming his lips again. Sucking at Emmet's lower lip as he pulled away, Ingo's eyes burned with barely hidden lust.
"Emmet," he said, as he tugged Emmet's shirt from his pants.
"Yeah?"
"This is the last chance for all passengers to disembark before we move to the final stop." His fingers ghosted over the bulge of Emmet's slacks, touch light, barely registering through the fabric. It was maddening, but not as much as the words.
"Stop now, and I will never forgive you!" The corners of Ingo's mouth curled up, pleased.
"Anything for my beautiful little brother."

Trainers influence their pokemon, so Tynamo and Litwick have a similar relationship to the twins. That means Tynamo can and will shock anyone that picks on Litwick. In the twins' present, Litwick's reputation is not as bad because of pokeballs and a better understanding of the specie, however, occasionally there are some that do treat Litwick badly. Litwick usually doesn't fight back because they don't want to cause any more problems similar to Ingo, while Tynamo is similar to Emmet in how he can be recklessly protective. Think of a shy candle covering their eyes while a tiny baby eel glares at you shooting sparks. However, if someone tries to harm Tynamo, Litwick is not afraid to drain their life up. The inherited protective big bro instincts are strong. As they grow up, Chandelure becomes less shy and more confident and Eelektross mellows. It kind of mirrors how the twins became more confident and professional as Subway Bosses.
Tynamo and Litwick absolutely have a relationship similar to Emmet and Ingo. Tynamo is just as rash as their trainer and almost just as protective, influenced by their trainers actions. often times getting just as in your-face as Emmet can be. Litwick, is shy and polite, really just wants to help, like their trainer. sometimes even tries to pull Tynamo back like Ingo sometimes does with his brother. not wanting to cause problems.
In the present time (to the twins anyway) the reputation of Litwicks aren't really that back, most people understanding them better and taking the pokedex entry with a grain of salt. they hang around grave yards mostly, providing light. how ever in this new/old/ land were not much is known about Litwick and thus where the issues lies.
so when Litwick starts getting threatened, Tynamo is quick to try to step in (so to say) and Emmet lets them. and if the torment tries to turn on Tynamo, well someone might be leaving with a few more burn marks then they originally might of had, Ingo doesn't exactly scold them for this. the two protect each other, just like the twins protect each other. and when both need protecting well...there's a papa glisor for that.
as time passes and the two pokemon are no longer in Hisui needing to defend their trainers from both pokemon and people, they grow up just as their trainers do. Litwick is no longer a shy little candle but a confident Chandelure, shining brightly and proudly next to their trainer as he easily roars over the noise of the trains. Tynamo is no longer a rash little baby eel with barely a spark, but a powerful Eelektross floating lazily around their trainer as he continently directs passengers to their cars.
just as the twins mirror each other, their Pokemon mirror them. growing confidant and professional, the perfect partners for their subway bosses.

Guys, it's May
So I decided to remake the mermaid/merman drawing I did before because the old one sucks. And also because it’s “mermay” and stuff. And I thought it would be funny if I based the mermaids off of Pokemons and if I rambled on about unimportant things about mermaid people. Which you can read below this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sordward: Wishiwashi (to completely level with you, I was going to either pick Wishiwashi or Dragonair, but I think Dragonair is more of a snake, so… I don’t know? I just gave him the Dragonair’s horn and the orb thing, for reasons below this)
Shielbert: Seaking
Emmet: Eelektross
Ingo: Shiny Gyarados (… don’t know why I made it a shiny, but here we are)
Elesa: Milotic (I know an electric Pokemon would’ve worked, but I already gave Emmet Eelektross, plus, I think the whole “shining beauty” and Miltoic being one of the most beautiful Pokemons works okay together-)
So here’s the thing, Sordward and Shielbert just kinda sucks when it comes to existing. Like, they get stuck in nets or between rocks, captured by people, or get beached. Just anything you can imagine.
They only managed to survive this long because they have each other’s backs. Like, if one of them is in trouble, the other one WILL either rescue them or get in trouble as well. The rest is a matter of luck.
And for Sordward. While it’s a bit similar to the counterpart of Wishiwashi; very weak on his own and cries (whenever his younger brother gets hurt or emotions get too intense, specifically). He’s not shy, introverted, or a crybaby. Bitch personality is still the same.
But like, even if he’s weak on his own, do NOT mess with him or his younger brother. He can absolutely annihilate anyone with that Wishiwashi school form.
Like, the orbs on his body, right? That’s kinda how he gets the school form from, because no one else is willing to put up with him. The powerful orbs react based on his emotions and then he does the magical girl transformation thing, so yeah-
He got the orbs by stealing it from actual Dragonairs, and the horn. He stole the orbs because he just found it… well, alluring. And the horn to match his Younger Brother’s one. He was a bit self-conscious for not having one-
Shielbert is very close friends with a Vaporeon, a Dewgong and a Buizel. Despite both Dewgong and Buizel not being in Galar, he just manages to find them both wandering around. He's very weak too, but he still tries to protect those he cares about-
Emmet is the only one with sharp teeth. Well, they’re not THAT sharp. He’s not able to cut through things unless he actually tries to do so. Same goes for the claws.
My man Emmet is like, an actual electrical hazard. Being an electric type eel in the water. Using his full on electric powers will probably kill everyone that lives in the sea. Or like, a sea creature even touching him- (unless they’re also electric type)
… I mean, if a person were to touch him, it’ll only give a little shock. Nothing too drastic. But like, his hands are the worst place to touch. You’ll actually perish because that’s where the electric thing generates from-
Emmet also prefers to live in the darkness, or just, very far from the surface because the light up there sucks ass. It’s NOT because he’s an electrical hazard (he couldn’t really care about that), he just legit prefers to live in darkness.
And plus, his electric bullshit can light up the way, so it’s a good thing for him. And he lives with other Tynamos, because they treat him as his dad-
… He also lives in the dark abyss because you can find a lot of weird stuff down there that people dropped. Like that bag he carries, he found it there and keeps it for carrying things.
Ingo is like, a very tall and big fish person. And very intimidating, too. Well, when glancing at him, anyway. In reality, he’s just the same man as you know him to be; a bit goofy, much like Emmet.
And like, he’s a bit shy about how tall and big he is. Since it’s a bit awkward when he tries to talk to other people… At least getting rid of selfish people isn’t a problem if he’s very tall and powerful.
But you know, just because he’s tall and strong doesn’t mean he’s like, “the king of the sea”. Not at all. He’s just a generic guy that helps those who need his guidance to go places. And Emmet sort of does the same thing. Well, guiding those away from the darkness since normally people don’t go in the deep dark abyss.
… Elesa doesn’t do much. I mean, “the shining beauty”, right? She just does whatever she does originally. She can also sing pretty well... She’s very strong too. Could absolutely beat the shit out of anyone.
I mean… She does visit Emmet and Ingo because they’re friends. Maybe Ingo more since Emmet just lives in the darkness. But like, best friends for life- (she’s very close with the Tynamos too-)
So yeah, everyone has a way to defend themselves besides Shielbert. But like still, Shielbert has Sordward being very protective of him, so… you can’t exactly mess with him-

Note
I have recently acquired a Tynamo - do you have any advice on how to care for one?
Sure!
Tynamo are very interesting Pokémon because they are very closely related to many marine Pokémon, but they have no organs for processing oxygen from water. In general, they don’t care very much for getting wet, and tend to clean themselves and prevent parasites with dust baths. A dry wash cloth is perfect for this task if you do not wish to get your house dirty.
In terms of diet, Tynamo lack true jaws, which means they are restricted to foods that do not require chewing and instead can be swallowed in whole bites. In the wild, they latch onto a target and take a suction bite off the side, which actually often isn’t fatal. This is actually how researchers track Tynamo populations considering how shy they can be- Drilbur or Deerling with circular scars are a solid clue that Tynamo live nearby. They do best with something that they can take a bite out of, instead of something to eat whole: I would recommend offering a plate of raw meat instead of, say, a meatball, if that makes sense.

Submastober Day 06 - Double Trouble
Good day everyone! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ I hope everyone's having a good day/night. We continue on with another day, another little ficlet! I hope you're all enjoying it! When the month is over, I'm going to be neatening these all up, and posting to AO3! So, please, look forward to that!
As a heads-up, they are about eleven or twelve for this!
Title: Double Trouble Word count: 842
Holding firmly onto Kudari's hand, Nobori watched the costumed men as they talked amongst themselves. His younger twin just kicked his legs silently as they sat on the couch, and seemed rather oblivious as to the predicament they were in. He hummed a little tune, looking around the room, other hand on the armrest of the couch.
It was for the best, he thought. Better that Kudari not understand that these men were up to no-good. Even now, he heard them fussing over the fact that they'd been given wrong information. From what he could understand of their hushed arguing, whoever had sent them had not mentioned the most important detail. Apparently, these men had meant to kidnap *the* nephew of the Mayor of Opelucid City for ransom.
It seems that they had not been told they were targeting twins.
"Hey. Misters. I, Kudari, am thirsty." Kudari suddenly chipped out, his speech clipped as it always was when he didn't know who he was speaking to. Their uncle tried to improve how Kudari spoke, but what he didn't seem to understand was that Kudari was perfectly capable of a more flowing style of speech. They talked together for hours, often with Kudari being the one to lead their conversations. When Kudari liked a topic, or the person, he was quite enthusiastic.
Kudari was just shy, and their uncle was a large, physically imposing man. Kudari was not afraid of him, per se, but he was still adjusting to being in their uncle's care. They both were, but this was a new peril they hadn't really experienced before.
In this case, instead of being shy, maybe his twin *did* know what was going on.
But, if he knew, why was he trying to get their attention? The men looked between each other, with furrowed brows, and then one of them ambled over. Kudari stared blankly at the man, still kicking his legs. "I want a drink."
"Yeah? Well, we don't have any drinks." The man said, looking between them. Nobori frowned deeper at him, and tugged Kudari's hand a bit closer to himself. They were being 'nice' now, but for how long?
"Then, cake!" Kudari countered.
"Cake will just make you more thirsty!" The man tugged at his hood, antsy even before he began speaking to Kudari, patience thin in his voice.
"I would also like some cake, please," Nobori piped up, and the man slid his eyes to face him.
"Listen here, kid..." the man began, and Nobori tilted his head to the side. Adults always seemed to respond well when he made a curious expression like that, especially when paired with politeness. "We don't have any drinks. Or cake."
"Well, maybe you could go get some? We're going to be here for a while, right?" The man looked over his shoulder to the others, who mostly looked lost at the suggestion. Turning back to Nobori and Kudari, the man's mouth thinned into a line.
"Yeah!" Kudari chirped in agreement. "I want wacan berry juice!"
"If we get you juice-"
"And cake, please"
"And cake- will you behave while we reach out to your uncle? We want to talk to him, and make sure you get back safe to him." Bargaining seemed to appeal to them, and Nobori nodded once while Kudari bobbed his head in his own eager agreement.
"Fine. We'll get your juice and cake." Straightening himself back up, the man seemed to debate on going himself, or sending one of the others. His gaze shifted between the twins and the other men. But, before he could move away from them, Kudari, who had never let go of Nobori's hand, dug into the pocket on the front of his overalls.
"Wait! I have something good. It will help you!" Pullng out a little plastic card with a tynamo on it, worn from being carried around for years, Kudari held it out to the man. It was a points card from a local convenience store, given to him by their parents when they were younger.
With an unamused expression, the man still took it. "Swannawa? Okay. Whatever." And with that, he turned around, having decided that he would be the one to go.
After that, the men mostly ignored them. That is, they were ignored until the door was kicked in, and people that Nobori recognized as working for their uncle entered. With nowhere to run, the men were easily caught and dragged out of the room.
Hopping up off the couch, Nobori gently tugged his twin to follow. Kudari did, as he always liked to imitate Nobori. But, once his feet hit the ground, he dug into his pocket, pulling out his live caster. Humming once again, he turned it off with a beep.
"Kudari?" Just before the screen had gone dark, he was fairly certain the image shown was their uncle's office.
In response, Kudari just closed his eyes, and smiled brightly to Nobori. "Do you think Uncle Shaga will get us juice and cake? Since those misters lied?"
