Regret is a funny thing, isn’t it? Something usually has to happen first before you can regret it. You regret not wearing comfy shoes on your night out; you regret getting tipsy, and you regret calling your best friend Seokjin tonight.
However, being your best friend, Seokjin shows up at the bar you’re at. His eyes are frantic as he pushes past the bouncer, too concerned over you to care about the meaty hands grabbing at his biceps. A firm glare from him has the bouncer releasing him.
Seokjin knows his heart would thunder in his chest if it still beat, but right now it sits still in his ribcage, frozen long ago. Seokjin’s fairly tall and with you wearing heels, he’s able to spot you as you laugh with a strange man who leans too close to you. The man throws his head back with a laugh, exposing his neck and for a moment, Seokjin thinks about ripping his throat to shreds with his fangs, but right now you’re his primary concern.
What could possibly be so hilarious? Seokjin had been your best friend for a little over a year, and no offense, you weren’t that funny. Besides, it’s not like he hid his crush from you, or your very obvious crush on him. In fact, he had asked you out for the following night, so seeing you here at a bar with Sir Laughs-A-Lot felt like a stake through the heart.
With long strides, Seokjin walks up to you, cutting Laughs-A-Lot off with a sneer as he wraps his arms around your shoulders. You’re not surprised by the touch, recognizing its familiarity and moving closer until his firm chest is pressed to your back. You nearly nuzzle into his neck when he places a large palm on your hip. It sends a shiver down your spine.
Seokjin eyes the man, eyes hard as he scoffs. “Baby, ready to go?”
The pet name makes your cheeks spike with heat. “Definitely.”
You turn to the man whose name you don’t even remember. “It was nice meeting you.”
Intimidated by your glaring best friend, the man nods before scurrying out of your proximity. Okay, Seokjin may have flashed his fangs at him, but you didn’t need to know that!
“Hey, what are you doing here?” you ask as you turn to face Seokjin. He ignores you for a moment, waving at the bartender, who rushes over to him. A dazzling smile appears on his lips, only dimming when he sees Seokjin’s hand move to your lower back, nearly on your ass.
“Close her tab, please,” The bartender nods, star-struck by how melodic Seokjin’s voice is. Feeling pity for the man, Seokjin winks at him, and that has him rushing to close your tab, handing Seokjin your card. He signs for you as you kiss his cheek before he’s lacing his fingers with yours to lead you out of the bar.
Once in his car, you ask him again how he knew you were there with a pout on your lips.
“You called me, baby. Remember?” he asks as he pulls into traffic, one hand on the steering wheel and the other on your thigh after moving your dress upward a bit to feel your warmth under his icy palm. You shiver but place your hand on top of his to keep him there.
“I must have,” you answer. “Thank you for coming. I can always count on you.”
Seokjin smiles, looking over at you for a moment. “Always.”
He brings your hand to his lips, kissing them before driving the rest of the way to your apartment, where you invite him in.
While you shower and change into pajamas, Seokjin grabs you a bottle of water and heads to your bedroom. He changes out of his clothes into his stash of pajamas he has in your dresser.
When you join him in your bed, he’s not surprised to see you in one of his oversized sweatshirts. You look so cute, he can’t seem to ask for it back. Instead, he holds you close, fangs threatening to appear when he gets a whiff of your scent.
Seokjin hands you the bottle of water. The cap is already loose, so you don’t have to struggle to get it open like usual. You thank him, drinking half of it before you’re handing it back to him to set on your nightstand.
Like usual, your lamp is on and dimmed on the nightstand, your blackout curtains drawn shut, velcroed to the wall to keep them from moving, and most importantly, to keep the morning light out when the sun rises. Seokjin will just have to spend the day with you indoors tomorrow until the sun sets and he’s able to go home.
Not like either of you minds though.
“Thank you for coming to get me,” you whisper as you cuddle into his side, his arms wrapping around you. “I’d been drinking water by the time you showed up. My coworkers left to do their own thing and then that guy came over and I didn’t know how to tell him to leave.”
“I flashed my fangs at him,” Seokjin grins. You slap his chest playfully. “I thought he got a little pale when he left.”
“His heart was racing,” Seokjin licks his lips, the thought of drinking his blood clouding his eyes.
“Are you thirsty?” you ask him, meeting his gaze.
“Are you offering?” He responds with a raised brow and a heated gaze that sends a tingle down your spine.
You answer him by taking off the sweatshirt you’ve stolen from him, remaining in just a pair of panties.
Seokjin’s breath gets caught in his throat, admiring your body, and his fangs elongate when you tilt your head to the side to expose more of your neck. He leans closer, his lips barely brushing your skin as his hands grip your hips. The pounding of your heart is music to his ears and his fangs scrape against your skin.
“Fuck,” you sigh, eyes rolling to the back of your head as he easily maneuvers you onto his lap, his hand gripping your hair to hold you in place as he presses a kiss to your skin. “Seokjin.”
Seokjin smirks, licking his lips when you grip his biceps and his plush lips suck on your neck for a moment before his fangs sink into you.
“Oh, fuck baby,” Jin groans, swallowing a mouthful of blood. He sinks his fangs in deeper, grunting when your hips grind down on his, moaning when you meet his erection. Your soft whines turn him on further, lost in your essence as he feeds from you.
Blood dribbles from the opening his fangs have made and Seokjin pulls away from you, mesmerized by the burgundy rivulets that flow down your neck toward your breasts. Your chest rises and falls as you pant, licking your lips when you notice Seokjin’s fucked out gaze. Seokjin doesn’t think he’s ever seen anything more erotic than you dripping with blood, lips turned in a pout, and asking for more.
Seokjin feels the sting of his throat, mouth-watering when blood trickles between the valley of your breasts. His tongue is scorching on your skin as he licks up the trail, fangs grazing your skin on his way back to the puncture marks. He sucks, eyes rolling to the back of his head as your warm blood meets his tongue, coating every crevice of his mouth.
“Seokjin,” his name tumbles from your lips in a soft gasp, hips circling over his, biting on your bottom lip when you feel just how soaked your panties have become. Seokjin laps at your neck hungrily, reluctantly pulling away so he can meet your hooded gaze.
“Fuck me,” you plead, batting your lashes. Your hand cups his face, thumb running over his lips to collect any stray blood he’s missed before pushing your thumb into his mouth.
“Marry me,” Jin splutters after sucking the blood clean off your thumb. Your eyes widen at his words, and you know if he had the ability to blush, he would be.
You smile. “One thing at a time.”
Seokjin nods, pressing his plush lips to yours. You kiss him back, moaning when he nips your lip, tongue tangling with yours as he deepens the kiss. His large hands grip your hips, squeezing them for a moment before he’s trailing kisses down your neck, resisting the urge to sink his teeth into you once again.
Your hips grind down on his, a whine of “please” escaping you. Your fingers card through his hair, tugging at the roots to make him groan. Your lips kiss the column of his throat, making Seokjin curse as he pushes your panties to the side, surprised that he hasn’t torn them to shreds in his eagerness.
You melt into him when he slides two of his fingers into you, groaning when he feels just how wet you are. You rest your forehead on his broad shoulder, hoping you’ll get to dig your nails into his back when he fucks you.
“Fuck, Jin!” you exclaim when his thumb brushes your clit. You nearly fuck yourself on his fingers, moaning against his lips when you kiss him, fingers threaded in his hair, pulling to make him groan.
You can feel Jin’s erection pressed against you. You were worried you wouldn’t be able to take him, but you couldn’t wait much longer. You wanted him, wanted him to fuck you in every which way he wanted to… later. Right now, you just wanted to be wrapped around him, wanted him to fuck you until you came, regardless of how long or short, it took. You’d been dreaming of this moment for years, and you just wanted him to fuck you silly!
Seokjin meets your gaze, his fingers gently caressing your cheek as he continues to pump his fingers in and out of you, listening to every dulcet cry of his name as you beg him to fuck you.
He chuckles. “It’s that overeagerness that’ll get you in trouble, baby.”
“Hm, is it?”
Seokjin nods, slowly removing his fingers from you to pop into his mouth. He takes his time licking them clean, savoring your taste before he’s pressing his lips to yours. You kiss him back, tongue moving with his as he tugs his boxers down enough to release his hard cock. It slaps against his abdomen and you groan, reaching for it. It’s thick, larger than you imagined in all your daydreams, and larger than it appeared in your wet dreams.
“Fuck,” you curse, looking down at it. Seokjin laughs, body shaking as he takes in your expression.
“Don’t laugh at me!” you whine, pouting.
“You just look so cute. Can’t wait to fuck that little mouth of yours,” he smirks, pecking your lips before he’s pushing your panties out of the way. Gently, he rubs the head of his cock against your clit, the pre-cum making it slide easily before you’re raising your hips, taking his cock in your hand to line him up at your entrance.
Seokjin reaches for your hair, gripping a handful to kiss you deeply. He’s mindful of his fangs that he’s accidentally elongated with his excitement and the succulent scent of your arousal.
“Fuck, fuck.” Seokjin gasps when you drop on him, pussy tighter and wetter than he ever imagined. Time and time again he’d thought of you just like this, wrapped around him, soaking wet, but his hand and his imagination didn’t do you justice.
“Seokjin!” your nails sink into his shoulders, dragging down the sides as you hold on to him. Your eyes squeeze shut and you feel breathless as you try to take all of him and fail, feeling stuffed to the brim. “Oh, fuck.”
“You take me so well, baby. Can you take a little more?” Seokjin asks softly, his hands gently rubbing circles into your skin before moving down to your hips. You nod, inhaling before taking him the rest of the way, crying out his name in a tone that leaves his head spinning as he holds you, your chest pressed firmly against his.
“You’re so good for me, baby,” Jin whispers as he rubs your hips softly, his lips pressing a kiss to your forehead. He allows you all the time you need to adjust to his girth, allowing you to take the lead. It’s a few moments before you’re raising your hips just slightly, biting back a moan when you sink onto his cock again.
You cling to him, face nuzzled in his neck. His name rolls off your tongue, again and again, his grip on your tightening as he raises his hips to meet yours.
“So full,” you murmur against his skin, and Seokjin can’t help the delightful grin that appears on his lips. You ride him, finding your rhythm that he happily meets, kissing every bit of skin within his reach. His hands cup your breasts, fingers toying with your pert nipples as you bounce on his cock.
“Seokjin!”
“Fuck, love!” Jin curses, overwhelmed with pleasure as you tighten around him. He smacks your ass, feeling your thighs tremble as you whine his name, warning him that you’re close, so close.
“That’s it, baby. Come for me. Come wrapped around my fat cock,” Seokjin encourages in a heady tone that makes your head spin.
“Wanna cream your cock, baby,” you answer, kissing him deeply, fingers pulling on his hair. Seokjin grunts, cock throbbing as you clench around him. He won’t last much longer and he knows your right on the edge.
With skillful fingers, he finds your clit, rubbing it until your moans grow in octaves, nearly falling apart from his ministrations.
“Bite me! Bite me, Seokjin!” You plead.
Seokjin hesitates for a second, but your firm gaze has his nodding as he swipes his tongue over a hard nipple, teasing it with his teeth before his fangs are sinking into your breast.
“Fuck, yes!” You scream, pussy clenching around him as you orgasm with a cry of his name, thighs trembling on either side of his hips as you ride him into oblivion, body shaking as you fall apart nearly sobbing.
Seokjin curses, gripping your body tight as he cums. He moans your name, and you nearly come again just from the sound of it. You definitely want to hear him say it again.
Panting, you finally slow until you stop riding him. Seokjin kisses your temple, a coy smile on his lips.
“That was amazing,” Seokjin laps at your breast, noting the few droplets that lingered on your skin. He’d taken so much blood from you, he worried he’d overdone it but you seemed to be doing well.
“It was,” you agree as you rest your head on his shoulder, not wanting to get off him. He holds you in his arm, kissing you every so often until he’s softening and pulling you off him.
“No,” you whine at the loss, feeling his cum slide down your thighs. Seokjin laughs, apologizing as he lifts you off the bed to carry you to the bathroom. He sets you down on the counter and you shiver when the cold surface meets your skin.
Seokjin gets the shower ready while you admire his body, smiling proudly when you see the marks you’ve left on his skin. He can feel the heat of your gaze on him, but he tries to focus on getting the shower ready for you.
A quick shower is all Seokjin can convince you of taking. He struggles to wash your hair and body, your whines growing as you grow sleepier. He helps you out of the shower and dries you off before planting you back on the bathroom counter.
“Baby, you need to do your skincare routine,” Jin reminds you before you can fully fall asleep, despite the heaviness in your eyes and the half flutter of your lashes.
“But sleep,” you mutter.
“You’ll hate yourself in the morning if you don’t do it now. How about I carry you to bed after I help you?” Jin suggests and you sleepily agree, yawning into his neck, your head resting on his shoulder.
Jin gets all your stuff ready on the counter. With ease, he does your skincare routine, seeing as you’re no help, too sleepy to care.
However, in the morning you’d be very thankful that Seokjin knew your routine and was capable of doing it while you were half asleep.
“Come on, pretty girl. Time for bed,” Seokjin says once he’s finished, taking you in his arms to carry you to bed, where he lays you down gently before he lies beside you.
You curl into him, your head resting on his chest and your fingers laced together.
Seokjin admires you as you slowly fall asleep, and he knows he’s in too deep. He’s so in love with you, it could easily drive him insane, but he could never dream of being with anyone else. He may be undead, but he’s sure your love for him would be enough to get his cold, dead heart to beat. Seokjin chuckles at the thought, maybe not…

-------------------------------------------------
“Good morning, my Queen.”
A kiss was placed on your shoulder, traveling slowly up your neck and across your jaw before meeting your lips. You tried to pretend to be asleep for a little longer, not wanting to get out of bed, or leave the arms of your lover quiet yet.
“Darling, I know you’re awake.” His lips leave your jaw, moving back down until he finds your mate mark, in the juncture of your shoulder and neck. The small curved ‘J’ held within a silver crown sat upon your skin, the mark of your bond to him.
“No, I’m not.” You mumble, trying to snuggle even deeper into your pillows, tightening your grip on the covers.
You had been up continuously over the past week, Jin having left for meetings for alignments with other lords within the kingdom, and you have been dealing with everything at home. While you were still human, no one would listen to you, and it took Jin’s brother, Namjoon, killing one of the maids for making you bleed for everyone to listen.
You knew this would happen; everyone had warned you. But Jin wouldn’t take no for an answer. He was your mate, no matter your species.
It was hard in the beginning, as you had grown up thinking and believing that vampires were the villains in your fairy tale, not knowing that the humans you grew up with were the real villains, killing vampire children and plotting to commit a mass genocide against the species entirely.
You were scared, thinking he would kill you; drain you dry and leave you to rot. You had no clue about soulmates, nor did you know how much the world believes soulmates are absolutely sacred.
Seokjin was unbelievable patient with you, showing you kindness and compassion you had never known to exist before. He would read to you out of your favorite book, coming to learn that his voice would calm you down whenever you would spiral into the depths of your anxiety and fear.
He had found you in the kitchens a couple in days into your stay at his castle, helping the bakers make chocolate chip cookies, despite their incessant pleas that you should not be helping. It warmed his heart, hearing you exclaim that you were no better than them, that you had been a baker in your own hometown before he found you. Too this day, you could often be found talking and laughing with everyone in the kitchens, making delectable desserts.
And now, as you pretended to be asleep so you could stay with him a little longer, he had the same warm smile on his lips as the day he first heard you laugh. Love was the only thing on his mind whenever he thought of you. His love for you kept his heart beating.
“Oh, you’re not asleep? Hmm, I thought I heard you speak just now?” The giggle that left your lips had him tightening his arms around your waist, pulling you into his chest. If Seokjin was to pick a favorite sound, it would be the sound of your laughter, or the sound of your—
“Nope. I’m not a queen either.”
You finally open your eyes, meeting his dark ones as you do. He had been waiting for you to open them, hoping to get lost him them before your words catch up to him.
“What do you mean you are not a queen?” Seokjin couldn’t believe what he was hearing come from your lips. Why suddenly were you shy and denying your rightful title as his queen? You looked away, towards the window with the shades drawn the tiniest bit to let the sunlight in.
“Darling, look at me.” His hands move to grip your cheeks, turning your head to face him. Once he caught your eyes again, he found himself trying to coax the words from your lips, rubbing his thumb across your cheek. “Why do you say such things? What happened while I was gone?”
“It is nothing Jin. I just had a long week. I am fine.” You smile at him, hoping he doesn’t notice your change in scent or emotions, but to no use, as his eyes darken and his own smile disappears. You had reached up to hold his hand when he moved quickly, gripping your fingers in his own.
“What happened to your hand? Do not lie to me, my love. I will find out one way or another.” You knew you were done for. There was no way he wasn’t going to find anything out when you had a scar to disprove your lie of the week’s events.
You told him everything: how the lords of the manor who resided within the walls of his castle decided to ignore and defy your word. How some of the staff decided that you were unworthy of the king as a human and tried to kill you. None of your meetings went well and you were called numerous names over his time away.
By the end of your explanation, his eyes were pitch black and his lips were blood red, the sign that he had lost control of his anger and thirst for blood. He was beyond raged with how his company treated you when they thought he wouldn’t find out. A cleanse was needed, the floor needed to be washed away with the blood of those that would dare defy him and his mate.
“Jin. Seokjin. Please look at me.” His eyes latched onto the beauty of your own, red from rubbing them in your sleep. “Namjoon has already taken care of some of the matters, but he said he would talk to you in more detail once you got back.”
Knowing you had his younger brother to help protect you while he was gone, some of the color returned to his face, his eyes slowly coming back to normal. However, knowing that someone tried to take you from him, tried to kill you while he was gone, he needed more than just reassurances at this point.
You yelped as you were suddenly underneath your mate, his eyes dark again but this time, you could see a difference within. He looked at you the same as he did when you became mated. He looked like he wanted to devour you. His possessive actions made you squeeze your thighs together, watching as he takes a deep breath in through his nose.
The scent of your arousal was thick in the air, the honey almond made his teeth elongate at the thought of drinking from you. His favorite place to drink was from between your thighs, his mark permanent on your inner thigh from where his teeth repeatedly bite. There was nothing better than your blood when still coated with your own pleasure.
You don’t know where this came from, but you were not going to deny yourself the time with your mate, no matter the form it came in. Letting yourself relax into the mattress, you pulled Jin in, wrapping your arms around his neck as he placed his lips on yours. His kiss was hungry but met with an even fervor you tried to match.
He adjusted, moving his weight into one arm while he moved his other down to your thigh, grabbing the bottom of hist t-shirt you were wearing, and pulling it up towards your breasts. Your scent was now covering the room, making a growl leave his lips at the taste of you.
“Ugh, you smell so good. Just want to eat you up.” He pulled back and rasped in your ear, his control wavering the tighter you held on to him.
He pulled back, moving so he could hold both of your arms above your head in one hand, the other moving to rip your shirt down the middle. A gasp left your lips at the cold breeze now felt across your middle, your breasts open to the chill that always resided in the castle.
Jin’s eyes rolled into the back of his head at the sight of you, your chest moving up and down, goosebumps littering your skin as he looks you up and down. Your nipples hardened at his cold stare, a smirk growing on his lips at that.
“Oh, my darling, is this all for me?” He moves his hand to cover your right breast, moving his lips down to suckle and nibble at your left, listening to you whimper as his scrapes his fangs across your skin.
A little bit of blood begins to pool from the scrape on the top of your breast, his lips quick to cover and lick up the droplets. Your moans were soft, urging him to become harsher, his hips rolling into your still clothed core. He couldn’t help but to groan at the taste of you on his tongue, wanting nothing more than to bring you the same pleasure he was feeling.
Switching his attention to your right breast, he gave it the same treatment, creating another cut and licking the blood that pooled. Once he felt that you were teased enough, your whimpers helping to tell him, he moved his lips lower, letting go of your hands in favor of holding onto your hips. The tips of his fingers moved under the edge of your underwear, pulling it down in one swift move.
“Please Jin…” You pleaded, wanting him to touch you. Wanting him to ruin you. But Seokjin was going to take his time with you, needing you to know that you were his.
You were his Queen.
And the world be damned if they didn’t acknowledge it.
“My Queen, let me worship you.” His lips were on you, his tongue flat against your core as he licked a stripe up to your clit before trapping it in his mouth. A cry left your lips at the onslaught of intense pleasure, your bond heightening the already pleasurable act into something heaven-sent.
“That’s it, my darling.” He moaned, licking up the slick that dripped out of your pussy, his fingers digging into the skin of your hip and thigh as he pulled you even closer. “Let me hear how good I am doing.”
You moved your hand to his hair, needing something to grab onto as you bucked your hips against his tongue. You could feel one of his hands pressed down against your lower stomach, holding you still as he moved his other hand to your entrance. Pulling at his roots caused another growl to leave his lips, the vibrations moving through your core and leaving you whimpering.
“fuck…please…don’t stop.” Your moans were soft, the sound of his fingers fucking into you was obscene, but your body loved it.
Your orgasm reached just as Jin sucked harshly into your clit, his fingers hitting the right spot that had you seeing stars. Your cries of pleasure bounced off the walls as you came into his mouth, his mouth moving slowly against you to help you through your orgasm. After a couple minutes, you tried to push him away, overstimulation creeping up on you.
“You did so good, darling.” Jin whispered as he climbed back up your body, his clothes gone in the blink of an eye as he pressed you into the sheets again. You could feel his cock, thick against your thigh as he kissed you, His tongue licking into your mouth, the taste of you still on his tongue.
“My darling Queen. You are…” He holds his cock in his hands, rubbing the tip up your core, gathering your slick on it. Capturing your lips again, he pushes in, not stopping until his hips hit your own. “Exquisite.” He breathed against your lips.
He swallowed your moans, his kiss hungry as he moved his hips, creating a movement that had you crying in pleasure. He didn’t stop, needing to bring you the pleasure that you give him every day you breath.
With every stroke of his cock inside of you, you felt closer and closer to your high, your walls fluttering around him as you tried to stall off your orgasm. You could hear him groan, a small laugh leaving his lips at the feeling of you around him.
“Now, my queen, don’t hold yourself back. Let your body give itself to me.” His lips began to travel across your jaw and down your neck, creating marks as he went along. He stopped right at your mating mark, placing a soft kiss on your skin before sinking his teeth in your neck.
You moaned at the feeling, sparks moving throughout your body at the feeling of his teeth inside your mark. His hands on your waist and thigh gripped tighter, bruises forming under his touch as your orgasm hit, his bite giving you the push you needed to let go.
Seokjin felt your walls clench his cock, felt the way your warmth tried to keep him in as he hit his own orgasm. Removing his teeth from your neck, he kept thrusting, working you both through your orgasms.
Once you had come back to him, he pulled out of you slowly, feeling the combination of your cum dripping out of your core; the sight almost making him groan again.
You could feel Jin moving from you, the weight of him no longer on you or the bed. You tried to call him back, to make him stay in the bed with you but he was back in a flash, a warm washcloth pressed to your core as he cleans you up.
“You did so good, my darling.” You felt his kisses press against the bruises forming on your thighs. He was clothed this time, a pair of sweats and a long sleeve shirt, as he placed a kiss to your lips. He cuddles with you for a few minutes, just basking in the presence of you. But he knows he has a few things he needs to do today, starting with talking to his brother.
“I want you to stay in today. Relax and sleep if you must. Just call for me and I will be here for you. But I have some…things I need to attend to today, okay?” He gave you a new shirt to wear, placing it over your head before slipping some underwear up your legs. You nodded, knowing exactly what he was going to be up to. However, you knew there was nothing you could to do stop him.
He was going to be doing a cleansing of his court and staff. There could be no one in his employment or court that had any negative feelings towards you. He wouldn’t stand for it, nor would his family. You were the rightful Queen and these men and women were going to learn what happens when they defy your soulright.

Preview: Your eyebrows furrowed as you peered over your shoulder. Sure enough, there were a few dark eyes staring back at you - but there was one pair in particular that really caught your attention. There was a man in a roped-off section of the club, a velvet curtain drawn to the side to reveal him seated on an ornate chair. He looked like a king watching over his people, and you meant that not only because of his position but because of his features as well. It was undeniable that he was the most attractive person in the room, hell, the most attractive person you had ever seen. Smooth pale skin, plush lips in a permanent pout, dark eyes, and the widest set of shoulders with a slender waist. He was a work of art. He had this look on his pretty features as if he had just tasted something bitter, and that look was directed behind you.

Kim Seokjin had not only a pretty face but a brilliant mind as well.
At least, that’s what he told everyone.
If there was a singular sin that he could fully encompass it would be vanity. And the sin that he shared with nearly everyone in his “family” was that of pride: a deadly and violent mix. That blend was what led to his damnation.
He knew that he deserved only the best and nothing less, that was exactly how he had been raised when he was still human. In the late 1800s, he had been granted the privilege of being born into high-class society as the eldest son, the heir to the Kim legacy. Everything he wanted was directly at his fingertips and at his disposal. From the moment he was born he was guaranteed power, and that was something he wished to never lose.
As the heir to a luxury wine company, it was only expected that alcohol, parties, and lewd behavior were set to follow him, and he exceeded those expectations. But he was good at keeping business and pleasure as two distinctly separate functions.
And with the life he lived, it was not often that individuals met his expectations. And by individuals, he meant potential wives. Naturally, it was expected of him to marry and continue the family's legacy. But the gold spoon that he was born with in his mouth tainted the pool. No one was good enough for him and that caused much strife within the family.
He was well past the age of marrying at twenty-eight years old. He was beginning to feel the pressure his father and mother were putting on his shoulders. And, not to mention, he was well aware that he was aging. Of course, he would never admit that his looks were fading. There was not a crease in his skin or a gray hair to be plucked, but he could feel it. He could see the minute imperfections that no one else could. It made his skin crawl in disgust.
And then Kim Namjoon entered the frame and everything began to come together.
His mother had insisted on organizing yet another party to find him a wife under the guise that he was there to make several important business deals. But when the vast majority of partygoers were young women with stars in their eyes he knew what was really going on. And of course, he was not going to stick around and socialize with subpar candidates. If he were going to do that it would be restricted to his bedroom, of course.
Namjoon had come to that party that night, Yoongi in tow despite his protests. Namjoon was a cultured man, he liked to mingle with the members of high society from time to time. It helped him learn what was appropriate for the decade as trends (in manners, clothing, and amusement) came and went rapidly. And those who belonged to the upper class were those who set those trends. It was strategic and it helped his kind blend in as seamlessly as possible.
And Jin was the epitome of a high-class man.
And so, Namjoon and Yoongi befriended him. It hadn’t been hard for them, they had been around for so long that they fit right in. And Jin had merely thought he found more of the few people that could meet his high expectations - his small inner circle growing with two new additions. But of course, that friendship had started out with the purpose of using Jin for what he had.
So in turn, he used them.
While Jin had a pretty face, he actually was quite smart and observant. He took note of his companions' odd behavior. He never saw them during the daytime, only in the veil of the night. They had the oddest colored eyes - not quite black but a deep shade of burgundy like the embers of a smoldering fire laid within their depths. And they were cold, absolutely frigid to the touch like a corpse. It didn’t take him very long to piece together what they were, and it was only proven true when he caught the both of them feasting on lifeless corpses in his guest room. He timed everything just perfectly to discover their true nature.
Yoongi had seemed genuinely surprised, bloody lips parted in shock as he stood as still as a statue, the limp body still collapsed in his iron grasp.
Namjoon, on the other hand, was smiling. He too was not able to conceal his nature any longer but he wasn’t trying either. He took his time and continued to finish his meal despite the obvious living human presence in the room.
“You two have been holding out on me,” Jin said with a disappointed tone.
“Holding out?” Namjoon echoed before relaxing his arms and allowing the corpse to slip down to the floor, the thinnest drizzle of blood pooling onto the parquet flooring.
Yoongi could only stare at the both of them, his eyes darting back and forth between the two other men.
“Yes, holding out! You are immortal are you not?”
“Yes, we are, and I’m sure you’ve figured out the rest by now haven’t you?”
“You may have been able to fool all of those other halfwits but it was painfully obvious to me, of course.”
“Of course.” Namjoon nodded while trying to suppress an amused grin.
“I want in, I wish to join you and your kind.”
“No,” Yoongi immediately cut in, “You don’t know what you’re asking for, this is a curse it is not something to take lightly and flirt with the notion of.”
His tone was harsh, his face stern but there was evident pain behind his eyes. Yoongi had been forced into this life if that was what you could even call it. He couldn’t fathom someone willingly agreeing to eternal damnation and he would try his hardest to convince them otherwise.
“Are you denying me?” Jin asked, his face contorted in utter disbelief. He was never denied anything in his twenty-eight years of life and the feeling of rejection was infuriating.
“Yoongi, it’s his decision,” Namjoon interjected, his hand wiping the blood from his mouth leaving a streaky crimson trail behind.
“You’re not actually considering this, are you?” Yoongi hissed.
“What is there to consider? He’s already seen us and he knows what he wants.”
“He has no idea what he wants!”
“And why are you speaking for me? Just because you’re miserable and dissatisfied does not mean the same will be said for me!” Jin spat. “I grow tired of this human body. Every second of every day I feel myself wasting away and there is not a thing I can do about it.”
“You would throw away your humanity, your life, all in the name of vanity?” Yoongi asked in disbelief.
“And for greed as well,” Jin laughed, “Believe me, I am many things and one of them is self-aware. I am a selfish bastard and I am perfectly fine with that. I won’t allow my looks to fade and my fortune will grow as centuries pass. This is what I desire and I refuse to concede.”
He was a businessman in every aspect.
“It sounds like he’s made his choice, Yoongi.” Namjoon finally spoke.
“It sounds like he’s made an ignorant choice and I refuse to have any part in this,” Yoongi said, storming past the two of them and slamming the door shut with enough force that the mahogany wood cracked by the handle.
“So, are we going to fuck about or will you give me what I want?” Jin asked, his impatience growing.
“I consider you a good friend, Jin. I won't lie, I am pleased that you are asking this of me.” Namjoon smiled before grabbing Jin’s shoulder, “We’re all lonely children looking for a place where we belong.”
Lonely children, that was one way to put it. Namjoon was not entirely wrong. In a world where you deserved only the best, many fell short and in the end, you were painfully alone, whether you were willing to admit it or not.
“Before we go through with this, there are some things you should know.”
“What things?”
“You can’t go in the sun, not just yet, you’ll be far too young and far too sensitive to light. Quiet, dark, scentless places are going to be the best place to stay - your senses are going to be heightened tenfold. You must feed often in the early years, you’re going to be very hungry, bloodthirsty really so you need to stay away from large crowds of people.”
Jin was silent for a moment, his eyes shifting from left to right and back again as he processed everything he was told. He could manage, and he could figure out how to do all of those things while maintaining his position as an heir.
“Lastly, do not try and do this alone. In our world, there is strength in numbers as well as safety. You’ll have to stay with me and Yoongi, we will all be bound to one another as creator and creation.”
“So when you two leave…”
“You will follow.” Namjoon nodded, “We try to stay in one place for as long as we can so if it’s your family you’re worried about you’ll have plenty of time to figure something out.”
But they weren’t coming with him. As terrible as it was, that wasn’t a great enough reason to sway his decision. He still wanted what he desired and he was willing to let his family go. So he stuck out his hand, ready to shake on the agreement.
“I accept the conditions.”
~~~~~~~
Most people were afraid of spiders, some of heights, and many feared drowning. But you feared something a bit more abstract and with a bit more finality. You were afraid of aging and by association, you were incredibly afraid of death.
And that fear often leads you to do a few things. One of them was to start skincare at an absurdly young age. The other was to hermit yourself inside of your house out of fear of some horrific accident befalling you. And the other was to seek out strange and obscure places to visit before you die. It was odd that the last two coincide but they do.
There were days when you were so frightened that you couldn’t stand the thought of leaving the comfort of your bed. And then you had days where you felt daring, if you were going to die one day would you really want to have lived your only life trapped inside of your own house? There were your good days and your bad days and they came and went like the tides.
Today was a “good” day. And by good day that meant you were on your laptop scrolling through forums trying to find a new place to visit. Living in a small town was hard, you knew everyone and every place because they were so few in number. But sometimes there were locations in between towns, or hidden spots in your own. Briar Hills is an old town, a historical town even. It’s not uncommon for places to be abandoned, concrete skeletons collapsing and being devoured by the flora.
It was finding them, buried in hundreds of posts, that was difficult. The teenagers in the town had taken to reclaiming those places, turning them into party spots in the blink of an eye. But that has changed in the past few months. Ever since the first body turned up.
That was the thing about small towns, murder was much rarer than the action that cities see. So, when dozens of corpses begin to show up in streams and lakes and people begin to go missing without a trace - panic ensues. As well as a town-wide curfew.
Briar Hills turned into a ghost town after dark. The streets would be empty, lit by a few lampposts spread down the street that was easily consumed by a thick, hazy fog. Every now and then the fog would be broken by police lights, red and blue shocks of color dispersing the mist as the night patrol came around the block. It looked like something out of a horror movie.
And, if it weren’t a good day, the sight alone would be enough to keep you corralled in your room. But it was a good day and you had become stir-crazy from staying in your house for the past few weeks.
After endless scrolling there was one post in particular that caught your attention. It looked like an extravagant invitation with a satin black background and deep red embellishments. It had very little interaction and it was written in a completely different language. For something as obscure as an abandoned place in a small town you weren’t surprised that it had gone unnoticed, especially considering few people checked this forum.
Putting the text into google translate had not been insanely helpful. The translated text was jumbled and made little sense, it was one of those languages that did not thrive when it came to longer translations. But you were interested and fairly stubborn and after extended research and decoding fragmented sentences you were left with this:
“The best bite I’ve ever had,” And following that was a set of coordinates that had been written out instead of just using their numerical counterparts.
You were interested.
What could that mean? Maybe it was some hole-in-the-wall restaurant, but why all the decorum? Why the translations? Who even uses coordinates anymore? The best way to get the answers you desired was to discover them for yourself.
That’s how you ended up sneaking out of your house, dressed head to toe in dark colors, like some teenager that’s about to disappoint their parents. Except, in this case, your parents were the cops, and being grounded would equate to being detained for violating the town-wide curfew. All the more reason to not get caught.
You started to get cold feet when you realized where the set of coordinates was leading you, your body came to a fast stop when the toes of your boots met the edge of the forest. The forest, at night, with low visibility, and predators prowling was a bad move. That just screamed a sudden and violent death, not to mention the bulk of missing persons' corpses had been found within its depths. This was a stupid idea, a bad move, but it was a good day and you were too stubborn to follow reason. You would make up for it tomorrow by hiding in your bed all day. It was an unhealthy coping mechanism, but a coping mechanism nonetheless.
You took a deep breath, squared your shoulders, and took a step forward. There was no going back now, you had made up your mind.
The further into the forest you trekked the quieter it became. It didn’t make sense. You were getting further from society so why was it so quiet? The wind was still, not a branch or leaf trembled, and not even a cricket dared to chirp. It was like every living creature had up and left, abandoning their home. The only sound that filled the static silence was the bubbling rush of water from the river.
You began to walk faster, your nerves urging you to get where you were going and be done with it. On top of that, your eyes were starting to play tricks on you, your brain attempting to make sense of the dark and fill in what was missing resulting in ominous shadows shifting through the trees. You were regretting your decision immensely, so you picked up the pace and began humming to yourself to fill the silence.
If you were being honest, you really had no idea what you were supposed to be looking for. The post hadn’t listed much of anything and you weren’t sure what would be at the end of the coordinates. But, the red light glowing in the distance was a sure sign of something. It grew more intense as you neared it, the light getting stronger the closer to the ground it was. When you finally pushed through the underbrush you were met with a set of concrete stairs leading down into the ground and at the very bottom was an old metal door with a faintly pulsing red light above it. Looking down at your phone you were able to verify that you had made it to where the coordinates were marked.
It was a bomb shelter. It was most likely one for the community back in the forties, an evacuation and safe point for those who didn’t have their own. It must have been abandoned and forgotten about after the war, left to rot there for the past eighty years. But if that light was anything to go by, it must have been reclaimed by someone.
You carefully stepped down the stairs, applying a little weight at a time to make sure that the concrete hadn’t eroded and wouldn’t crumble beneath you. When you reached the bottom you tried the door and to your surprise, it opened with a creak. There was a long tunnel just barely lit by candles lining the walls leaving deep shadows in between them. And now you could feel the walls thumping, steadily vibrating with a muffled bass. That meant there was another chamber somewhere.
You hesitantly traveled down the tunnel, long stretches of the floor would eventually give way to more stairs leading you deeper and deeper underground. This was a claustrophobe's worst nightmare. The more you walked the harder the walls vibrated until you finally came upon another door where the sounds became the loudest. Above the door hung a purple neon sign that read: “Blood Sugar.”
Upon testing the door handle, you were surprised to find that it was unlocked, and once it slowly swung open your nose was assaulted with the scent of alcohol, sweat, and a coppery odor. You swiftly entered and closed the door behind you, trying your best not to bring too much attention to yourself. But it appears you would have no trouble doing so.
The room you had stepped into was massive, the walls were tall and rounded out at the ceiling and were made completely out of metal. But it was far from a barren, abandoned bunker. The room was packed with people, some dancing, some drinking, and others wrapped around one another on the various red velvet chaises spread around the space. The music was loud and the room was lit by antique chandeliers as well as deep purple lighting casting an ominous glow over everyone.
The bunker had been converted into a club of some sort and despite the decrepit tunnels you had slunk through to get here, it was surprisingly luxurious. You were honestly surprised the entire town hadn’t known about this place. That much was certainly true because, despite the large crowd, you could only recognize about five people you had seen before. The massive gathering was largely that of people that were not from Briar Hills.
A set of delicate hands slithered around your waist, tugging you sharply towards the stranger behind you. A shout of surprise parted your lips as you turned around, slapping the offending limbs off of you.
There was a tall woman facing you with a grin on her face, her bright white teeth glinting from behind her deep red lips. Her skin was so pale it was glowing with a purple hue from the lights, her long black curls creating an even sharper contrast against her skin. And you couldn’t explain why you felt the way you did, but the sight of those bright white teeth had your stomach twisting in knots. Despite her delicate appearance, every red flag was being raised in your body. The urge to run was strong.
“Hello, sweetheart,” She crooned, “You’re new, aren’t you?”
Something in the back of your mind demanded you lie.
“No, I’m not. If you’ll excuse me,” You said, your voice steady and cold despite the goosebumps on the back of your neck and the rapid thump of your pulse.
As you went to walk past her she easily stopped you with a hand on your shoulder, her face suddenly incredibly close as she pressed her nose to your hairline and took a deep breath. “Oh, you can’t lie to me, I remember every sweet little snack that comes in here.”
What. The. Fuck.
“Look, I’m not interested in…whatever that means,” You huffed, taking a few steps back and breaking free from her steel grasp, “I’m just here for a drink.”
“Oh?” She hummed, “So am I, I’m glad we can cut to the chase.”
“Okay?” You slowly asked before shuffling around her imposing figure, “See ya.”
You slipped into the crowd, forcing your way through the bodies in an attempt to shake her off of your trail. Anybody else in your position would have lingered for the ethereal woman, but you couldn’t ignore that feeling in the back of your mind or that tug deep in your gut. She was dangerous, and no pretty smile or sweet words could hide it. It was in times like these that your intense fear of death became present as paranoia, warning you of all potential threats.
When you started therapy you were encouraged to slowly step out of your comfort zone, to do things that would combat your anxieties. So, on good days, you try your best to succeed with these short-term goals hoping in the long run you could live normally like every other person your age. But you often found your anxiety creeping up on you and you knew after tonight you would need the rest of the week to recover and that meant avoidance which meant hiding out in your rented duplex.
But for now, you had to cope.
When you broke free from the crowd you stumbled forward, a stray limb jabbing you in the back and sending you reeling onto one of the velvet chaises. To your utter embarrassment, you landed right next to a couple that had left all of their inhibitions at the door like many other patrons of the underground club. The woman was straddling the man's thighs, her arms wrapped around his shoulders as he buried his head in the crook of her neck, her long locks obscuring his face. Although you couldn’t see what he was doing it didn’t take a genius to figure out what it was as the woman’s mouth opened to let out soft moans of pleasure.
Heat rushed up to your face as you stumbled off of the chaise and backed up from the voyeuristic lovers. Of course, you weren't innocent, but seeing something like that in person was different from shamelessly reading smut at three AM.
A few feet away from the couple was the bar. It was surprisingly empty for a club. The man you assumed to be the bartender behind the countertop was relaxing against it, his dark eyes scanning your awkward posture.
You swiftly approached the bar and yelled over the music, “Hi, how much is water?”
He gave you an amused chuckle before grabbing a small leather menu and sliding it over to you, “We don’t serve that here, sweetheart.”
You stared at him in confusion before flipping open the menu. The only thing listed there were various wines all costing an exorbitant amount of money, and by that, you meant at least three months' rent and that was just for a glass, not even the bottle.
“These prices are insane, are you kidding me?!”
“They’re from 1889, newbie.” He smiled, a grin identical to the woman from earlier.
“Well, this was a bust.” You groaned, the initial buzz of excitement from finding a town secret had long since faded.
“Can I offer you some advice?”
“Be my guest.”
“You might want to pay more attention to your surroundings, you’ve had eyes on you since you stepped foot in this place.”
Your eyebrows furrowed as you peered over your shoulder. Sure enough, there were a few dark eyes staring back at you - but there was one pair in particular that really caught your attention. There was a man in a roped-off section of the club, a velvet curtain drawn to the side to reveal him seated on an ornate chair. He looked like a king watching over his people, and you meant that not only because of his position but because of his features as well. It was undeniable that he was the most attractive person in the room, hell, the most attractive person you had ever seen. Smooth pale skin, plush lips in a permanent pout, dark eyes, and the widest set of shoulders with a slender waist. He was a work of art. He had this look on his pretty features as if he had just tasted something bitter, and that look was directed behind you.
“If I were you, I would get out of here. Things get crazy with fresh blood, ya know? The people here are like sharks in the water.” The bartender said, regaining your attention. “Uh oh, looks like you got one on your trail.”
You followed his and the pretty stranger’s gaze behind you. It was her again, the woman from earlier. She was slipping through the ocean of moving bodies with ease, her gait like that of a jaguar on the prowl as she approached. You watched as her polished fingers wiped away what looked like stray lipstick from beneath her lips.
Without thinking you darted away from the bar and past the pretty man, rushing through the first door you found which turned out to be the bathroom. Once the door fell shut you felt like you could relax for a moment. The music was muffled allowing you to think coherently for the first time since you had entered the bunker. Everything had become far too stimulating and you could feel your anxiety rising.
You leaned against the sink, turning the water on ice cold before splashing your face so that you could shock yourself back into clarity. You allowed yourself to brace the sink and relax your body, focusing on your breathing and grounding yourself before you lost control, just the way you were taught to.
The feeling of ice-cold fingers on your shoulders threw all of your work away.
You yelped and flinched, your eyes flying open to see her standing behind you in the reflection of the mirror.
“I knew you were a shy little thing, you should have just told me you wanted to do this privately.” She sighed with a sickeningly sweet smile.
In a moment of flight, fight, or freeze your body chose for you, your legs running without you telling them to do so. You didn’t make it far, not before she grabbed hold of you and threw you up against the wall. Your head hit the tile behind you so hard you saw stars.
“I’ve been hunting you down all night, you’ve made me build up quite the appetite. Do you know how many others I’ve had to threaten to get to you? Everyone always wants to take someone’s first bite.”
What the fuck was she talking about?
“While it was cute at first, we've played this game for long enough, don’t you think?”
“Let go of me!” You yelled while grabbing her wrists and trying to pry her hands off of you. To your complete and utter shock, she didn’t move an inch, it was like her bones were made of iron - immovable and inflexible.
“Now, now, don’t go throwing a tantrum that won’t get you anywhere.” She sighed, sliding her hand up your shoulder to wrap around your throat and squeeze.
Your throat and lungs burned as her grip slowly increased its pressure, your eyes watering as broken gasps and chokes for air gurgled past your lips.
“There there, much better.” She whispered into your ear as she released your throat, your body going limp as you gasped for air.
She easily gathered you up into her arms and softly tilted your head to the side, her perfectly polished nails grazing over the stretch of skin as she hummed before pressing her cherry-red lips to your throat.
“Don’t worry, you’ll feel a slight pinch.” She joked before her jaw widened and a demonic hiss left her throat as her teeth grazed the soft flesh of your vulnerable neck.
But before she could sink her teeth in she was harshly ripped away from you, her perfect face slammed so hard into the bathroom wall that the tiles shattered upon impact. A loud cry of pain echoed throughout the room as she pulled herself from the wall, black blood was pouring from her crooked nose and her sliced lips.
Behind her stood the stranger from before, a miffed and frankly disgusted expression marred his stunning features.
“What the fuck, Jin?!” She screamed, cupping her injured face.
“She’s not a fang banger, Junghee.”
Her once flawless features froze in shock as a look of horror crawled over her face. It was the look of someone who realized that they had made a horrible mistake.
“You’ve really fucked up this time.” He growled in irritation, a genuine growl that had your skin crawling.
“Well, how was I supposed to know?! What is she even doing here?!”
“That’s none of your concern anymore, get the fuck out!” He yelled, ripping the bathroom door open and throwing her out of the room.
You stayed pressed up against the wall out of pure terror. Vampires, you had walked into a fucking nest of vampires and had the closest brush with death you’ve ever had in your entire life. Your gaze remained locked on the vampire, Jin, as he calmed down; the waves of his rage slowly dissipating. In this lighting, you could finally see what you hadn’t been able to before in the dim club. Under the fluorescent lights, his eyes gleamed a vibrant, intimidating red.
You winced in fright as he took a step in your direction, your body attempting to meld into the wall behind you. Jin raised his eyebrow in questioning, taken aback by your apprehension. It wasn’t often he had humans cowering in fear, usually, they shook from…something else.
“Enough of that, come along human.” He snapped, grabbing you by your sleeve and easily dragging you from the room despite your protests and your heels digging into the ground. He was pulling you as if you weighed nothing.
“Let go!” You shrieked in terror, struggling against his hold with all of your might.
He came to a sudden halt, gripping you by your shoulder and pulling your body so close that there was barely an inch of space left between his chest and your own.
“Don’t you think you’ve drawn enough attention to yourself tonight?”
You peered over your shoulder, and sure enough, there were several of his kind watching the two of you from the dance floor. Their stares were curious and hungry. Unconsciously you shifted closer to him, choosing the lesser of two evils, one vampire versus many.
“Look at that you’re smart, for a human.” He snickered before guiding you back to the curtained area you had seen him sitting in before Junghee had cornered you in the bathroom.
“Sit, stay.” He said with a smirk as he pressed you down by your shoulder onto one of the couches before gesturing for someone to close the thick curtains.
“Look, I just want to go home. I won’t breathe a word about what happened here or what this place is, it was a mistake coming here.”
“A mistake indeed, but a mistake that needs correcting nonetheless,” Jin said with a distressed roll of his (impressive) shoulders. “So, tell me human, how did you find this place?”
You sat there in silence for a moment, your face the perfect image of confusion, “Are you being serious right now?”
“I don’t recall telling a joke.”
“You - there was a post online, on a forum? Anyone could have found it if they were looking close enough, it really wasn’t that hard to find. All I had to do was translate the text and it told me where to go.”
“A…forum?” He repeated, clearly confused.
Dear God, he was an old-ass vampire who didn't know much about technology or even the internet. He didn’t even know he had advertised the place. He was just an old man in a young man’s body.
“You know, a forum, it’s online, it's where people who want to discuss a certain topic go to. I was looking for obscure places, abandoned buildings, and lesser-known spots in town. I found the posting for this place and it just said ‘The best bite I’ve ever had’...I didn’t know it meant literally.” You said, your nerves leading you to ramble on and on.
Jin’s eyes pressed shut, his face contorting in anger as a hiss parted his lips, “Jimin.”
Jimin and himself were the only two vampires in their coven that knew about the club Jin hosted. Jin had been careless one night and Jimin had followed him, discovering the secret he had kept well hidden. Jin bought Jimin’s silence initially with limited access to the place, but now he was regretting every interaction he had had with the short vampire.
One of the few times Jin had found himself getting on with said vampire had led him to express his annoyance with the lack of human stock for the club. In turn, Jimin had offered to help “advertise” in exchange for unrestricted access to the club.
Now that he had figured out how the little human had snuck her way in, he had to decide what to do with her. He could always kill her, that would be the simple answer. He could drain her dry and snap her pretty neck in an instant. But that wasn’t really his style, he typically preferred to savor his meals unlike his gorger of a “brother”, Jungkook.
Perhaps the human could serve a purpose for him.
“Come, human.” He beckoned with his fingers.
You remained frozen in your seat, your body still in active survival mode keeping your joints locked.
Jin sighed, clearly miffed by your disobedience. He rose from his own seat only to cross the room and sit next to you. His long fingers gripped your chin and jerked your head up, forcing you to look at him. His hold was ice cold, the chill from his touch steadily seeping into your jaw. You felt paralyzed by his intimidating crimson gaze. His eyes flicked quickly over your features as he turned your head from side to side, taking in your every pore.
“Not bad, for a human. Don’t feel too offended, it’s difficult to look as flawless as myself.” He said with a casual tone as if he were merely stating a fact.
“You look pretty average to me,” You blurted out the lie, your lips moving before your brain could stop you from verbalizing.
It was so fast you almost couldn't see it but it was there, his left eye twitched and his grip tightened forcing a slight whine of pain from you. He roughly jerked your head to the side, choosing to ignore what you said despite how much it clearly bothered him. Instead, he trained his focus on your neck, pulling the collar of your shirt down past your collarbone.
“Smooth,” He observed, his icy touch skipping over the skin of your throat, “Junghee didn’t sink her dirty fangs in you after all, that’s good.”
Without warning he leaned down, his nose skimming over your neck as he breathed in, flooding himself with your scent. His grip tightened as you yelped and tried to jerk away from him in fear that this time you would surely die at the hands of a mythical creature, a monster in the flesh.
You squeezed your eyes shut as you felt his plump lips brush your throat, his cool breath fanning over the skin and leaving goosebumps in its wake. His actions were reminiscent of a wine connoisseur, the way they studied the body of the wine and the aroma. He was assessing you - attempting to decide if you would make a good meal, that you were certain of.
You jerked as you felt him bury his face further into your neck. You could feel the slight flutter of his eyelashes against your skin as a groan parted his lips.
“Well, don’t you smell delicious?” He crooned, his tongue swiping over his lips and just barely ghosting over your throat. “I think that we can come to an agreement, does that sound nice?”
“What,” You paused to clear your throat, “what did you have in mind?”
“I’m glad you asked,” He said with a wink after pulling back from you, “You see, I think we could mutually benefit from one another’s company. While breaking your pretty little neck would certainly be the easiest way out of this problem, I do find you quite amusing, pet.”
Your body grew stiff as your mind conjured up the image of his strong hands severing your vertebrate in one smooth pull, your body falling limp and lifeless on the club’s floor. Your greatest fear was death and Jin was death incarnate. He could very easily take your life if he so desired and he was making that very clear. He cared not whether you lived or died but only if your presence benefitted him in some manner. Your life was inconsequential.
“Very few people meet my standards but you are very lucky, I have a rather refined palette and it just so happens you meet said standards. So, I would like to propose a business arrangement. You will be my sole donor and keep those pretty lips sealed about everything you have witnessed tonight and in turn, you get to keep your life.”
“And if I don’t agree?” You dared to ask.
A sneer marred his perfect face, his fingers gripping your chin and forcing you to look at him in his blood-red eyes.
“Then your pathetic human life ends right here, right now.” He said, his hand slipping down your jaw to loosely wrap around your throat. He could feel your pulse steadily thumping against his hand causing his mouth to involuntarily pool with saliva, hunger twisting in his gut.
Your breath hitched, fear slicing down your spine like a violent chill. You knew you only had one choice, and that was to appease the monster that sat beside you because he was far less frightening than the unknown, than the certain embrace of death that waited at every corner.
When fear rules your life, you have no choice. There is only ever one option.
“I agree,” Your voice trembled as you swallowed uncomfortably under his grasp. “I’ll be your donor.”
“Splendid.” He said with a grin, his canines glinting under the light.
“Can I…can I please go home now?” You asked, clasping your trembling hands together to try and still their shaking.
“No, there are a few more fine details we have to iron out,” He said, his index finger lightly tapping your chin, “Firstly, I expect you to maintain a healthy lifestyle and that means no alcohol within a twenty-four hour period before we meet and certainly no smoking it’s a dirty and disgusting habit.”
You nodded slowly, trying your best to avoid looking into his piercing red gaze.
“Try your best to have a healthy diet as well, the junk you humans gorge yourselves on taints your flavor, it’s unbearably sweet.” He said with a wrinkle of his nose in disgust. “I will compensate you for your efforts and your donations, once I’ve deemed you satisfactory, of course,”
“I think that about covers it. And when I call upon you I expect your presence. Do we understand one another?” He asked with a tilt of his head.
Your throat was far too tight, your eyes burning with unshed tears as you weakly nodded in agreement.
“Very good,” He hummed before leaning back into the couch and soundly tapping the top of his thigh, “come, pet.”
You sat still, your body frozen in shock as you were unsure if you had heard him correctly.
“Well?” He raised his eyebrow expectantly.
“I…I don’t think that, um-”
“Are you going to keep babbling and test my patience, or are you going to be a good little pet and do as I say?” He interjected and immediately you remembered the phantom feeling of his hand on your throat, the light grip that screamed threat.
You awkwardly shuffled on your knees across the couch and hesitantly settled your legs on either side of him, hovering so that your weight did not rest on his lap. In response, he firmly gripped your hips and harshly pulled you down onto him, pressing you directly against him in a way that sent heat rushing beneath your skin despite the evident chill that emanated from his body.
You could see his fangs even clearer now. They had become longer than before, the sharpened points dragging along the flushed skin of his plump lower lip. You were terrified by the thought of them piercing your thin flesh. What if they punctured your jugular and you bled out to death? What if he had just been playing with his food this entire time, instilling a false hope of survival in you just to watch with murderous glee as you realized you were meant to die the entire time as he drained the life out of you?
And then what? The void of inevitable nothingness? The abyss of the afterlife? You were spiraling now, you could feel it in the way your chest constricted and your breaths came out in panicked, short huffs.
A soft, wet, stroke against your throat pulled you from your frightening thoughts. As your vision cleared you realized that he had settled back into the juncture of your neck and shoulder, his tongue gently and steadily lapping at your skin. Despite your embarrassment, you could feel your body slowly relaxing and melting against him. It felt like you were being shot up with a tranquilizer, your muscles going weak from his ministrations as the skin of your neck went numb.
And within seconds his fangs were sinking through your flesh, easy and smooth. You jolted in response, a cry of pain leaving you as your fingers curled into the silk of his shirt while your body subconsciously leaned away, trying to escape the sudden painful stimulus.
In response, you could feel Jin’s arms tighten around your back and harshly pull you flat against his chest with an animalistic growl, one that immediately paralyzed you with fear.
The vampire beneath you was enraptured, completely lost in the feeding frenzy as rivers of blood flowed freely past his plump lips and poured down his throat. Your scent had been seductive, but your taste? It was better than any wine, better than ambrosia and nectar, it was addictive. So addictive he was unsure if he would be able to stop but at the same time aware he could not kill you because the rest of his immortal existence would be utter hell if he were unable to get another hit.
Kim Seokjin had a refined palette and high standards and few people met his expectations. But you? You were complete and utter perfection. And he deserved perfection.
His grip was too hard, unrelenting, crushing you against him. You wouldn’t be surprised if he cracked your spine by accident. It was like he was afraid to release you, afraid that there was a chance you would be able to escape him, the apex predator.
But these thoughts were all uselessly whimpered in the back of your mind because the rest of your brain was completely flooded with euphoria. You had never felt so warm and tingly despite his cool hands in your entire life. It was almost like an out-of-body experience, the only thing keeping you grounded in existence was his tight hold. And there were other feelings as well, feelings you would have been ashamed of had your inhibitions not completely disappeared. Feelings that had your thighs clenching on either side of his waist, your heart beating pathetically fast, your pupils dilating, and your limp body helplessly rocking against him with his hands guiding and encouraging you.
This was completely out of character for you. You didn’t climb into random men's laps and writhe against them eagerly like you were in heat. That had never been who you were, but the position you were in now clearly said otherwise.
You were growing lightheaded, not only from arousal and euphoria but from blood loss as well. You weakly pushed at his chest, your innate desire to survive prevailing over the pleasure that had relaxed your muscles.
“Jin, please,” You whimpered, struggling to speak.
The vampire didn’t respond or relent, his arms still wrapped around you like a vice. In desperation you wound your arms around his neck, your fingers tangling into his hair and tugging at the roots. The pull certainly took him off guard, his fangs sliding free from your throat and his perfect lips parting to release a startled moan.
His eyes were half-lidded but his red irises still burned brightly under the dim lighting, a perfect match for the blood that stained his lips and chin. He said nothing at that moment and from what very little you knew about him you could conclude that it was not often that he was at a loss for words.
Warmth trickled down your neck, rivulets of blood still flowing freely now without him there to catch them and that seemed to snap him back to attention. He slowly leaned forward, maintaining eye contact with you until he was level with your throat once more, his tongue darting out to lick up the trails of blood before tracing over the puncture wounds he had left behind.
Your hold on his shoulders did nothing to dissuade him, in fact, he quite enjoyed your weak attempts to keep him at an arm's length. Humans were so fragile, so weak, and he enjoyed that.
“Relax,” He breathed, “We have a deal, remember? It would be a waste to drain you dry in one night.”
“And how do I know you don’t just like to play with your food?” You asked.
“You don’t. You’ll just have to take my word for it, pet.” He smirked, tapping your chin with his finger.
“You’re not going to kill me?”
“Let’s just say your sample was more than satisfactory, I have no reason to take back my word just yet.”
Yet. And yet, he was actually letting you go.
“I’ll see to it that you make it home safely,” He began. But before he could finish speaking you were eagerly sliding off of his lap.
His hands caught your waist easily, one holding you steady and the other firmly grasping your chin between his thumb and forefinger forcing you to look him in his eyes.
“Remember, I call, you answer. As long as you abide by my rules we won’t have a problem.”
You nodded quickly, his words barely registering in your brain as your body took control. You would agree to anything that would keep you alive.
“Don’t disappoint me.”
~~~~~~
Days had passed since that night at Blood Sugar, days where Jin had not tried to contact you, days that you spent isolated in your house - a wave of agoraphobia so strong that the thought of passing a threshold frightened you to the bone which was beyond ironic considering your situation. But those days also led to you trying to convince yourself it had all been a bad dream.
If the encounter at Blood Sugar had in fact been real, you had little to show for it. The skin of your throat was smooth and untouched despite the fangs that you were certain had torn through it like paper. The only parting gift you had was the urge to sleep for days, a splitting headache, and a touch of soreness around your ribs where you were sure his arms had once restrained you.
Pretending it hadn’t happened was easier on your mind. Your whole world had been turned upside down and the monsters you once thought to be the stuff of stories had been pulled from the shadows and abruptly thrust into the light. It was easier to pretend it was a dream. But you couldn’t shake those blood-red eyes from your memories nor the show of pure strength that had been demonstrated against Junghee - her once perfect face that was so easily disfigured by the elder vampire.
You were afraid of death and the realization that it actually lurked at every eerie corner and you had sat in its lap like a contented house cat was enough to fry the connections in your brain.
And you could only pretend for so long. You could only ignore reality for so long.
It had been three weeks since you had seen him when he finally confirmed his existence in the form of a simple text.
“Hungry, you know where to find me.”
And that made your blood run cold. It was time to finally face reality, you had actually made a deal with a vampire and now he was cashing in on your promise. It was donate or die.
And in an absolute panic, you made a terrible decision. You placed your phone face down and retreated beneath your blankets like a small child hiding from the boogeyman.
Your phone did not cease to remind you that you had made a bad decision. The messages started sporadically - spread out throughout the hour. But Jin’s impatience grew as did the texts and calls. The eerie silence of your bedroom filled with a continuous buzzing as your phone continued to vibrate until you couldn’t take it anymore and without looking at a single message you shut down your phone. But that only brought temporary relief.
You were begrudgingly pulled from the safety of your bed that day for an inspection your landlord had scheduled two days prior. There was no getting out of it and in your mind, it was a welcome distraction from the spiraling anxiety you felt when you thought about your powered-down phone.
You had no way of knowing that their presence would only worsen the problem that you had created.
You were generally a quiet person that kept to yourself around strangers, especially strangers that had a say in whether you continued living in your home or not. You practically stuck yourself to the walls as she inspected your home, and while your landlord was not necessarily a mean woman she wasn’t very chatty. You two got along in those regards.
You were able to breathe when she gave you an awkward, tight-lipped smile, waved, and closed the door behind her.
As soon as she was gone you rushed back into your bedroom and just barely pulled your curtains aside to peer out your window and watch her retreat. But when you did look out that window you felt your blood run cold. She was still there, standing on the walkway, and directly in front of her was him. It was twilight out, the sun still desperately trying to cling to a purple and ochre colored sky. It was safe for him to be out. He was giving her a charming smile, one that anyone would fall over at the sight of. You could see him laugh and then say a few words but you were too far away to make out what they were. And then to your utmost horror, she walked away and he made his way up the front steps.
You were frozen, your muscles tense, and refused to move. You held your breath as you listened. There was no way that he could get in, you hadn’t given him permission. But all of your hope washed out of you when you heard the front door’s knob turn and the soft click of it leaving the frame. There were a few light steps and then the door shut once more.
He was inside the house.
You felt absolutely helpless as all you could do was wait for him to find you. There was nowhere to run, nowhere to hide, you were cornered.
It was only a matter of seconds before he did find you, a stern and angry expression clear on his face as he rounded the banister and the stairs and stood right outside the door frame of your room. His eyes were different now, they weren’t the vibrant red that you remembered. They were a deep burgundy now, almost black as they stared back at you with intensity. You couldn’t even make out the difference between his pupils and his irises. It was a bottomless, dark gaze.
“How did you get in?” You asked, the words rushing out of you to your own surprise.
One of his dark brows quirked, whether it was in surprise or irritation you did not know.
“Elaine let me in,” He said with a stomach-turning grin.
Your landlord. She technically owned the house, she could let him in even if you didn’t invite him.
“I thought I made myself clear when we spoke, did I not?” He asked rhetorically, “I call, you answer, I feed, you keep your life. What part of that did your little human brain not comprehend?”
“You called me?”
“Don’t play dumb with me.”
“My phone died-”
“Don’t make me repeat myself!” He snapped, his voice shockingly loud and incomposed.
You flinched back against the wall as he finally entered your room only to stop dead in his tracks not more than five feet away. His eyes widened, his nostrils flared, and his fangs descended on instinct.
The two of you stood there, both staring at each other and refusing to move, waiting for the other to act first.
Jin was the one to break the stalemate.
“You’re on your period.”
Your eyes widened in embarrassment, warmth radiating beneath your skin in response. He could smell it, that was the only explanation and that was a mortifying thought that had you pressing your thighs together, tight and closed.
He looked shaken, frazzled, and incredibly unlike himself. His rage was forgotten, his hunger controlling him. He was gripping the footboard of your bed, the skin of his knuckles stretched taut as he held onto it like he was keeping himself grounded.
“I want a taste,” He said, staring you down without a single blink.
It took you a moment to comprehend what he had just said, and as soon as you connected the dots you were anchoring yourself to the wall and vehemently shaking your head.
“No, no way!”
“Yes,”
“No! That’s messy and gross and I never agreed to do anything like that with you!
“I’m hungry,” He hissed, “And you expect me to just leave when you smell like fucking heaven?”
“Yes, because everything about this is crazy! I don’t know you, I never wanted to find you and now I’m stuck with you until you ultimately decide to kill me so I’m sorry that you’re hungry but it’s not even my problem in the first place!”
That was the one upside to being on your period, the influx of hormones allowed you to become confrontational.
“I’ll pay you double for a feed directly from the source,” He said with gritted teeth.
Jin was never one to bargain, usually he would leave a deal with far more than the other party. But this was something he refused to pass up. Vampires, very often, had little to no inhibitions especially when it came to sex. Sex was often a co-occurrence with feeding, and menstruation was the epitome of that. He didn’t expect a pathetic little human like you to understand. You were fettered by mortal concepts that had forced you to believe you were to be a social pariah during that time, that it was “gross,” as you had said. Little did you know you were considered a delicacy in his world, ripe for the taking. And he knew how delicious you were when he fed from the vein, his mouth watered at the thought of what it would be like now.
Your silence to his proposition only frustrated him even more.
“Do you know how many people would die to be in your position right now? I’ve had women beg to be on their knees for me and I’m offering to pay you to do the opposite.”
You were sure that he was telling the truth because he certainly was the most breathtaking man you had ever seen in your entire life. But what confused you was why he didn’t just throw you down and do as he pleased. He was bigger than you, stronger than you, and far faster than you. If he wanted it as badly as he claimed, why was he bargaining with you? You could only assume it was the lingering effects of the era he had lived in. While he was an asshole, perhaps he took no joy in forcing himself on a woman in that manner.
And then there was the money. Rent wasn’t cheap, that was for sure. And not many people could say that they were paid to be pleasured. It wasn’t a terrible offer, and the last thing you wanted to do was displease a vampire that could kill you and had threatened to do so before.
Shit.
“You wont hurt me?” You asked, your voice wavered.
“Quite the opposite,” He smirked. He knew that he had won.
A gasp of surprise parted your lips as he closed the distance between you, moving so fast that a gust of wind whipped up ruffling your hair and sending loose pages of paper tumbling from your desk. Your heart stuttered in fright, every minute you spent with him only served as a reminder of how dangerous he was. This arrangement you had with him was dangerous, you were toeing the line between life and death and that thought made your stomach turn in unease. He was a vampire, an apex predator, a creature that you had stopped believing in long ago, but also the undead embodiment of death. The very thing you feared the most. All it would take is one moment of frenzy, a lack of control and you would be left to bleed out in your sheets with no one to come and find your remains for weeks to pass.
You didn’t want to die, but you knew he wouldn’t let you live.
The touch of his cold fingers to your waist brought you back to him as he tugged you toward your bed, pressing you down onto the sheets before moving over you like an animal on the hunt. His eyes were pitch black, the veins beneath them prominent, and his fangs dangerously grazed his plump lips. He looked like a fallen angel, like Lucifer himself, the most beautiful outcast of them all.
An involuntary cry of fright left you as he moved impossibly fast once more, his face now level with the side of your head, the tip of his nose just barely brushing over your cheek as he chuckled. Even his breath was frigid.
“You’re nervous,” He hummed in delight, “Careful now, we wouldn’t want your heart to stop, would we?”
He could feel the violent, rapid thumps of your heart where his chest was pressed against yours. It had been a long time since he had had a human like this, oftentimes he found it too annoying. They were fragile creatures and having to restrain himself was rather inconvenient, but he preferred his partners to be responsive when he had his way with them, unlike some of his kind who couldn’t care either way. Was it still necrophilia if both parties were technically dead?
And while your heart was making itself known, you could feel nothing in response. His heart didn’t beat like yours, it had gone silent long ago and that thought only reminded you of just how wrong this entire thing was. He was dead, but you couldn’t wrap your mind around how he also seemed so very alive and while that scared you deeply, it also ignited a disturbing thought within you. But that thought was quickly halted when he noticed your lack of attention on him.
He hated that your attention wasn’t on him.
An annoyed growl rumbled in his throat as he moved back, quickly going down the length of your body and ripping your shorts down your legs, exposing you to the cold air.
“Jin wait-” It felt as if all the air was sucked out of your lungs as he ignored you, plunging his face directly in between your thighs.
He was unlike any of the partners you had had before. He did not take his time even though he evidently had plenty of it. He didn’t warm you up with gentle words, pleasing touches, or lingering kisses. Instead, he was absolutely ravenous. It was just like he said, he was hungry. But you, on the other hand, had not been prepared in the slightest for how sensitive you would be.
You could only whine in discomfort as you tried to clench your thighs closed, one hand coming down to push at his shoulder. Your actions were completely useless, no matter how much force you could use it was like pushing against a concrete wall - he was immovable.
You could feel him growl in annoyance which only sent a shock throughout your body, your hips twitching and your shoulder blades digging into the mattress. His fingers were harshly pressing against your thighs, forcing them open wider and hooking your legs over his shoulders so that he could get impossibly closer to you.
“Too - too much!” You barely managed to get the words out, your body jolting from sharp bursts of pleasure.
“Be a good pet and take it for me,” He crooned, parting from you for a mere moment to look up at you - his bright crimson eyes cutting through the darkness that had steadily filled the room. “I thought you said you would do anything to keep your life?”
You couldn’t explain the feeling that his words gave you, but the shame that lingered was recognizable. Shame that enduring pleasure to ensure your survival was an addictive cocktail of emotions.
You couldn’t even form a response in time before he returned back to his feeding, his soft lips and firm tongue caressing you in a way that made you realize he was actively trying to make you feel good instead of solely focusing on gorging himself on your blood. You had no way of knowing that that just made the feed all the more enjoyable, the rush of hormones in your body only adding to the flavor. It was a flavor he already knew he was addicted to and while he was reluctant to admit it to himself, it was a flavor he could not live without.
And with each feed there were more problems to come. While he knew his blood, saliva, and venom were incredibly intoxicating to your weakened human state - he underestimated the effect you would have on him. With all of the hormones his bite coaxed out of you there was one pesky one that affected him: oxytocin. It was a bonding hormone, one that fostered a relationship between feeder and donator which was why so many vampires rarely fed from the same human more than once typically preferring to drain the body dry and dump it anywhere to rot.
He was willingly making himself vulnerable to you all in order to get another fix, another hit of your blood. And the worst part was, he didn’t mind.
“Jin!” You cried.
He was disgusted with himself, disgusted by the way his body shuddered and was aflame with tingles at the mere moan of his name rolling off of your lips. It was nothing special, countless others had done it before you, but he couldn’t understand why it was you. Why were you special?
He could blame it on the damn hormone bond all he wanted, but this was only the second feed which meant, to his utmost horror, it was him. His interest in you, a human, was more than just superficial desire.
Oh, how far he had fallen.
He smelled your salty tears and he could even see the gleam of them as they rolled down the curves of your cheeks as your hips pitched forward, broken whimpers wracking your body that only served to drive him crazier. He could drown in you and it still wouldn’t be enough.
And as soon as all of the tension within you snapped he was digging his fangs into the meat of your thigh, fresh, hot blood rushing over his tongue and down his throat. The blend was intoxicating for not only him but for you as well - the bite secreting venom that doubled the effects of all of his efforts that lit your brain and body on fire. You could become addicted to him just as easily as he was to you because that feeling, that feeling was indescribable and would never be able to be replicated by anyone but him. Just as he was chasing you for his fix, you could easily see yourself doing the same.
When you came too, you were startled by the gentle touch of his tongue to the puncture wounds on your thigh. It soothed over the cuts rhythmically, urging the skin to sew itself back together again. And while he worked, he stared. Bright, crimson red eyes were trained on you. His gaze dark and dangerous. Your body that had once been limp and relaxed immediately tensed once more. The knowledge that a predator was nestled into your lap was enough to reignite fear in your chest. You feared that the slightest twitch or breath would signal for him to lunge again, but this time the outcome would not be so pleasurable for you.
But Jin was a man of his word. You didn’t die that night and your bank account was fed in due course.
This continued for the next six days. Whereas before it seemed like the vampire was able to abstain from feeding for as long as he wished, he had now become ensnared by a ravenous, bottomless hunger. And that was all the more frightening. But what was even more frightening was the way he began to change.
He was still rude, cold, and dominating. But he had become ever present. His closeness could be described as suffocating. The only solitude you could find was in the daylight, but the minute the sun began to set he was back and hungrier than before. And after the…feeding, he would linger. He would touch you more often, his words still snarky but lacking their usual bite. It was like he was becoming comfortable around you. He was still insufferable, but undeniably comfortable.
It was that comfortability that encouraged you to entertain that dark thought you had tried to smother before. Your ever present fear of death could easily be solved, the answer to your problem mere inches away from you. You understood the gravity of the situation, what it would mean to become something like him. But you couldn’t deny the truth that you could live with ending the lives of others if it meant you could sustain your own. You didn’t want to die, you couldn’t fathom dying, and you had an undead man at your disposal. If he was willing.
It was after your seventh session together that you decided to finally ask him. His cherry red lips were pressed against your throat, swallowing every last drop of blood that slid down your skin. Your neck stung and your body thrummed with ecstasy, your fingers cupping the back of his head on reflex - moving without your permission.
“Jin?” You asked.
He hummed in response, visibly enthralled by the feed but letting you know he was listening anyway.
“I want to be like you,” You whispered.
A slick pop echoed in the room, his fangs pulled from your neck and retracted into his mouth, disappearing from sight. His eyes narrowed, his dark brows drawing together in confusion and distaste.
“No,” He simply said, retreating to the foot of your bed.
“Why not?”
“Because you would be useless to me, that’s why. What good is a donor that’s dead?” He scoffed.
You couldn’t deny the ache you felt in your chest, the sting that “useless” struck against your heart.
“You’re…you’re going to grow tired of me eventually. I’ll get old, I won’t taste as good anymore. Then, I’ll be useless.”
“Oh, I plan to savor every last drop that you can offer. I won’t let you go to waste like that, you are mine after all.”
“And what’s that supposed to mean? You’ll just kill me before I go bad? Put me out of my misery before I can rot? I’m a fucking human being not a piece of meat!” You yelled, angrily standing up from your bed.
You expected him to become enraged, to become violent. But if anything he was deathly calm, still, and silent.
“Wouldn’t that be a kindness,” he stood from the bed, now towering over you, “To not have to grow older, to be in pain? To just stop here where you’re perfect, when you’re young and beautiful?” He said with a soft caress down your cheek.
“But you could give me what I want,” You pleaded, “You would never have to see me again, I could go far away and I wouldn’t be your problem anymore.”
A frown pulled at his lips, frustration falling over his features, “It’s not as simple as that. You would be bound to me, there are rules about these things.”
“Rules? Like laws, is there someone in charge of you?”
“Don’t bring that Twilight bullshit into this,” He hissed, running his hands through his hair in what appeared to be distress.
“Then I don’t understand, why can’t you do this for me? I’ve done everything you’ve asked! I’ve given you everything you wanted so that I could stay alive! Why can’t you understand that I don’t want to die!”
“Because you don’t understand what you’re asking for!” He snapped.
In that moment, he was brought back to that fateful day all those years ago. Yoongi had warned him, he had tried to stop him and he hadn’t listened. And now, he was being faced with a painful reminder of his naivety and arrogance when he stared back at you. Jin never regretted becoming a vampire. He never regretted his inability to grow old or the only way he was able to satiate his hunger. He enjoyed it. But if there was anything he didn’t enjoy, it was being under the control of someone else.
“We would be connected for the rest of eternity. Anything I ask of you, you have to do. You can’t deny me even if you tried. And even if you ran, you would eventually come back whether you wanted to or not. I would be your sire, your creator, you couldn’t hurt me no matter how badly you want to. We would be stuck together, do you understand?”
If there was anything he was afraid of, which he would never admit to, it would be having to rely on someone like that. It would be loving you, obsessively loving you like he felt the desire to creep over him. While he refused to admit it, all of those feeds had done their toll. He could feel the tugs of a weak bond forming between you - begging to be strengthened by a little of his own blood and a swift death. If you stayed human, he could save you from the fate he suffered through. And if he killed you, then no one else could have you. It was insane, but to him it was incredibly logical.
You had been quiet for quite some time, your face pensive before you finally spoke.
“That doesn’t sound all that different from our current arrangement.”
“Ugh, you’re insufferable!” He yelled, grabbing the closest thing to him and flinging it across the room in a show of strength and anger. So this was what Yoongi felt like.
“You’ve exhausted your usefulness to me,” He spat in rage, “Good luck defending yourself on your own.”
And just like that, he was gone. The only remainder of his presence was the broken chair that lay in pieces on the ground and the huge dent in the plaster from where it had hit.
You couldn’t stop the sudden wave of tears that poured down your face. That had been your only way to cheat death, and he wouldn’t give it to you after you had given him every piece of yourself that he had asked for.
The silence was loud, your sniffles and your pounding heart painfully apparent. But what was even more apparent, was the sense of paranoia steadily creeping over you.
What did you have to defend yourself from now that he was gone?
~~~~~~~
Jin was starving.
Even he was not so thick-headed that he couldn’t see what he was doing. He was throwing a temper tantrum.
He had left you for a month now in what was supposed to be a break that would teach you a lesson. You weren’t allowed to make demands from him, you weren’t the one in control. But if there was anything he had learned from his pathetic plan, it was that you were very much in control.
You had managed to burrow your way into his unwilling, stone cold heart. A feat that no one in his human and vampiric life had managed to do. The very thought itself made his stomach turn. He had never had to depend on anyone else, he never wanted commitment in that sense. Yet here he was yearning for you, a pathetic little hermit. His pathetic little hermit.
He let out an audible groan, collapsing back against one of the velvet couches in the club. The blue and red lights flashed over his face, his stomach rumbled in pain. He had thought it would only take a week for you to break, just a few days before you apologized and begged for him to come back. But he had greatly underestimated you.
It had been a month and he hadn’t fed. Everyone else paled in comparison, their blood sitting on his tongue like spoiled milk; he couldn’t even manage to swallow a drop. And that was completely his fault. This was why he was warned not to keep feeding from the same source. You were bonded now and he was suffering because of it.
He had never felt so backed into a corner before. And the fact that it was all because of a human was just salt in the wound. He thought that time would sever the bond but in reality, distance had just made it grow stronger.
Even now he was certain that he could smell your scent sifting through the hazy air, it’s tendrils beckoning him to come find you.
It was the prick of his fangs against his lip and the sudden pool of saliva flooding his mouth that made him realize it was anything but a fantasy. You were there. A wave of satisfaction rolled over him, you had broken first in a stalemate that you were unaware of. He had won. But any excitement he felt about his win was quickly thwarted when he was reminded of the present danger. You, who smelled so heavenly, had once more crawled into a nest of vampires.
He quickly lurched to his feet, cutting through the crowds of vampires and humans alike in order to find you. You were in the most dangerous spot in Briar Hills and he could not protect you. His abstinence had greatly weakened him, he could only hope that no one else would be aware of that. He was the eldest there and he was in charge, that should be enough to keep everyone else away from you.
Well, all except one.
You hadn’t even seen her coming, her or her “friends.” You had just barely managed to step foot inside the bunker before she was ripping you back outside, moving so quickly that your head was spinning and your neck burned with whiplash.
You moaned in pain, one hand cradling the back of your neck while the other dug into the damp earth in an attempt to ground yourself from the violent pounding that vibrated all throughout your head. At first you were utterly dumbstruck, confused as to what exactly happened. But the swift kick of a pointy shoe to your ribs rolled you onto your back and allowed you to be faced with four pairs of glowing red eyes.
The pain in your head was quickly overshadowed by the hot shooting pain in your ribs. Your spinning head could just barely register the loud crack that had sounded when you were kicked. What looked to be an effortless, swift strike from her was enough to break your ribs.
“Hello sweetheart,” A familiar, sickeningly sweet voice crooned.
It was her, that vampire from a month ago. The one that Jin had saved you from.
Cold shocks ran through your body as you panted, grabbing your side as you tried to scoot away.
“Ah, ah, ah,” She teased, grabbing you by your ankle and roughly pulling you back. Another sickening pop echoed through the night as a violent scream tore its way free from your throat.
“Now, I’m not letting you get away from me so easily this time. You really pissed me off, and now you’re going to give me what I want.”
You had no time to react and nowhere to run to. She and her friends descended on you like a pack of hungry vultures. They ripped at clothing and jostled you around like a toy they didn’t want to share. And all four of them dug into you. With Jin, there had been little to no pain. But this was the worst pain of your life. You could feel teeth digging into you, ruthlessly cutting through your flesh and ripping it apart. Hot, thick blood was pouring out of your wounds, drenching your skin and your clothes in an instant.
There was nothing you could do but scream, cry, and shake.
You were helpless and soon you were going to die. You had no doubt that they had every intention to bleed you dry. You felt like you were on the verge of passing out. Your greatest fear was suddenly becoming a reality and there was absolutely nothing that you could do about it. Death spared no one, especially you.
And for a moment you thought that death really had come for you because the pain was suddenly wrenched away.
You laid there, groaning in pain as you listened to what was happening. You could hear her low, sultry voice, the sounds of hits landing, and a deep, rumbling growl that shook you to your very core. It wasn’t death, but it was a close second. Jin had found you.
You forced yourself to open your eyes and look, you struggled to turn your head but when you did your heart dropped. Half of her group collapsed, in various states of injury. But Jin was the worst. He was barely managing to stand and he looked so weak. His cheeks were gaunt compared to the last time you had seen him, the veins beneath his eyes prominent and exposed. But worse of all, he was coated in his own blood. It stuck to him like an oil spill, pouring from wounds that were trying to heal themselves albeit very slowly. He wasn’t going to make it out of this; he was too hurt, too weak, too hungry, and outnumbered.
“I knew it,” Junghee giggled, her voice pitchy with murderous glee. “I could smell you all over her, you bonded with her!”
Jin said nothing. He wobbled, his chest rose and fell rapidly with angered breaths.
“Oh, how far you’ve fallen, Jin,” She sneered, “So high and mighty and look at you now. You’re no better than the rest of us - in fact you’re weaker than us! I’m so sick and tired of living under you and your rules, I think it’s time someone replaces that coven of yours. It’s time for a new jurisdiction.”
“I’ll give you one chance to get on your knees and beg for forgiveness,” He said with a deathly calm voice.
“I’m going to rip you apart and burn the pieces. And when I’m finished with you, I’m going to drain your little pet dry.” She said with a cocky grin.
Jin hummed in response, his head slightly tilting back as he thought. His eyes seemed to glow even more intensely in the dark, a ring of light shining around his irises as he spoke.
“That’s an interesting idea. Tear each other apart.”
You stared in shock as they immediately obeyed his command. It was mind-control, he could compel individuals to do his bidding. How many times had he used it on you and you had gone on unaware of it?
All four of them turned on one another, rushing at each other with abandon. It looked like they were marionettes, like someone else was controlling their limbs and forcing them to do as he commanded. You watched as the four of them attacked each other, clawing at their friends and prying their limbs from their bodies. The sounds were horrific. You could hear them screaming, crying, gurgling, and begging for it to end as they tortured one another. Black blood sprayed and stained their hands and faces as they ripped each other apart limb by limb.
Your stomach rolled at the sight, your wounds flashed hot with pain, and your ribs and ankle throbbed in sympathy as they violently mutilated each other until they couldn’t reach one another anymore - their limbs dismembered and useless.
You choked down the bile that threatened to escape your throat. They had tried to kill you, they were getting what they deserved. They were going to do the same to you and Jin.
Jin.
You caught sight of the vampire a few feet away from you. He had fallen to the ground after he had issued the command. His body was unnervingly still, his skin ashen and the sickliest pallor you had ever seen. He was dying, you were sure of it. That was something you had thought to be impossible for his kind but here he was proving you wrong. It was possible, but hard to do.
You felt a surge of adrenaline wash over you. You couldn’t let him die, he was your one chance to avoid that very same fate. You needed him just as much as he needed you. If you could help him then he would owe you. You could get the immortality that you were desperate for.
You cried out in pain as you rolled onto your side and crawled to him. Each inch you moved felt like you were being stabbed along the way. Your body was crying in protest but you were on a mission.
When you finally closed the distance between you, you could breathe a sigh of relief. He was hurt badly, but he was still “alive,” if not barely.
You grabbed him by his shoulders and slowly, painfully, dragged him into your lap. Your body threatened to crumble beneath his weight as you guided his head to the open wound on your neck. This was a risk, a really big risk. You were hurt badly and you had already lost so much blood, but you were sure that he would be able to stop.
“Come on, Jin,” You encouraged him, cupping the back of his head with your hand, “Come on drink, you need to drink.”
You felt a cool puff of breath on your neck, his nose slightly skimming over your pulse as the scent of blood pulled him out of unconsciousness. And as soon as he was awake, his predatory instincts took control. He lunged forward, wrapping you up in a vice like grip as he dug his fangs into the already open wound.
You hissed but held still, allowing him to get his fill. He was scarily inhuman at that moment. Jin had fed from you many times, but he had never been like this before. Silent, overbearing, and territorial.
Your eyes began to flutter, they were feeling incredibly heavy and it was becoming hard to keep them open. You had lost too much blood, you were still losing too much blood.
“Jin,” You croaked, “You need to stop.”
He ignored you and continued drinking, only digging his fangs in harder to force more blood from your throat.
“Jin please stop, please,” You cried, “You’re going to kill me!”
When you realized he wasn’t responding, that he was too enthralled by the feeding frenzy, you began to fight. You tugged at his hair, pushed at his shoulders, kicked at him with your good leg but it all was for nothing.
He let out an animalistic growl, squeezing you tighter before roughly shoving you to the ground and pinning your wrists above your head. He groaned in delight as your fighting ceased, as your blood flowed more easily into his waiting mouth.
You were fading fast, your visions steadily beginning to black out around the edges. He was going to kill you, and just like before there was nothing you could do about it. You were utterly helpless.
Your own desires would be your downfall. Just like Icarus, you had flown too close to the sun.
~~~~~~~
When Jin came to, he was confused.
He couldn’t remember anything after he had ordered Junghee and her coven to dismember one another. But when he became aware, he quickly figured out what had happened. Their corpses were sprawled about, their limbs still occasionally twitching.
And you were there, scarily still in his arms with the remnants of your blood on his lips.
He didn’t expect a wave of grief to wash over him. He hadn’t felt that even when his own family died or when he watched them mourn the loss of a son that never truly perished. But the sight of you, your broken body limp in his arms was enough to force a choked sob out of him. It was painful, it was complete and utter despair.
It was in that moment that he realized he did love you. In some horrific twist of fate, he loved you. He once thought that he would be able to kill you, then no one else could have you. But he didn’t anticipate the pain that it would cause him.
A soft, weak flutter halted all grief he felt. It was your heart. Your little human heart was still trying to beat. You could still be saved.
That was how he ended up here, with the only person he knew that could fix you.
“So, this is what you’ve been doing with all your free time.” Namjoon hummed, checking over your vitals.
Jin stayed quiet, nervously clenching and unclenching his fingers. At that moment, he understood what Yoongi went through. If he believed in karma, which he didn’t, he would have been able to appreciate it. This was what he deserved after what he put Yoongi and the fledgling through. But Jin was far more determined to keep you human than his “brother” ever was.
But it was undeniable that he could finally understand him. He finally knew what Yoongi was trying to protect him from all those years ago.
“Junghee really did a number on her. I’ve given her an awful lot of my blood to heal her wounds. It would just take one quick break, Jin. You said it yourself, this is what she wanted.” He mused.
“She’s my pet, nothing more. She’s useless to me as one of us, I want to make her last as long as I can.” He said with a warning glare.
“It’s useless, you know, lying to me. I could smell it on you the second you came through the door. You bonded with her, she’s yours now. Do with her what you will, but she will join us soon. Whether it’s you or me, well that’s entirely up to her. But I have a feeling she would let any of us do it at this point.”
“You wouldn’t-”
“Oh, but I would. Remember this, everything I do is for our family. You helped me with Yoongi, you understood then what I was trying to do. You can keep playing with her for a little longer, but she will join us. Don’t make me command you, Jin.”
Jin’s back stiffened, that familiar tug in his brain was there. That feeling that he needed to fulfill his creator’s wishes. And so, he bought himself some time.
“I don’t think it’s her you need to be worried about,” Jin said, that cocky edge to his voice back once more.
“Oh really?” Namjoon asked, leaning forward in interest.
“When was the last time you checked in on Hoseok?”
Namjoon’s brows furrowed in thought. Jin had got him, this was what he was good at - misdirection.
“Hoseok too?” He mumbled to himself. “Don’t you find it odd that this is all happening now? Yoongi and the fledgling, you and your pet, Taehyung and the little human he keeps in his studio, and now Hoseok? How interesting.”
He knew about Taehyung? But he hadn’t said anything about Jimin or Jungkook. He didn’t know everything. He had two more bargaining chips to buy himself more time.
“Watch over her, make sure she doesn’t hemorrhage. You’ve done a good thing, Jin. Thank you.” Namjoon said before briskly leaving the room - his office that now served as a hospital for you.
He wasn’t so sure that he had done a good thing. He was paying for what he had done to Yoongi now, what would come to him next now that he sold out Hoseok. And what about Jungkook and Jimin, what would happen when he revealed their secrets as well.
That was all he could think about as he waited for you to wake up. Namjoon’s blood was doing a thorough job. He was old and strong and because of that your body was mending itself incredibly quickly.
The only thing he hated was that you smelled like him. It was Namjoon’s blood in your body and because of that you were practically emanating his scent. Your normal heavenly essence was murky in the haze of his creator’s and it would take some time for it to dissipate. He was going to have to live with it for the time being. For now, he needed to figure out how he was going to protect you from the fledgling and from Hoseok. One was hungry and the other was certainly going to be pissed with him.
But if he could keep you like this for a little while longer it was worth it.
Your heart monitor was starting to accelerate, the beeping became loud and frequent. You were awake.
He slowly raised his head to look at you and he felt his stomach drop. You were giving him the thousand yard stare, your frail body tense on the mattress. You were utterly and completely frightened of him.
Your name left his lips in a hushed whisper as he stood, moving closer to your bedside. You shrieked and huddled into the furthest corner that you could.
“Stay away from me!” You yelled, crossing your arms over your chest in an attempt to block yourself off from him.
“I’m not going to hurt you,” he said, his tone the softest it had ever been, “I don’t want to hurt you.”
“Let me go, I want to leave. I don’t want to see you ever again, I want to go home!” You were rambling now, every frightened word running out of you with a gasp.
“You can’t leave, it’s too late now.” He said apologetically. He had never apologized before.
“I want to leave!” You screamed again, “You tried to kill me! You said you wouldn’t but you did! You lied, you’re a fucking liar!”
“I’m in control now, that’s never going to happen again I swear.”
“You’re a fucking liar!” You screamed again, your words trailing off with a broken sob.
He had felt grief when he thought he had killed you, but now he was experiencing heartbreak. His first, genuine heartbreak. He thought seeing your lifeless body was bad, but this, this was somehow worse.
He was suddenly overcome with the urge to comfort you, to hold you. And so he tried. The second he picked you up you began to writhe, screaming obscenities at him and clawing at his skin. You were trying to do anything you could to get away from him.
The last time he had held you like this, held you this close, he had tried to kill you. Your body and mind were completely in survival mode now and you needed to get away from him.
But he wouldn’t let you budge. He pulled you into his chest and wrapped you in a tight embrace, pinning your arms in between the two of you so that you couldn’t hurt yourself while trying to hurt him. All you could do was scream and cry and writhe but eventually your body went lax when you realized it was pointless. There was no escape.
Your brush with death had only made you more frightened of it. You had met that dark, empty void and the void had stared back at you. What some might have found to be peaceful, you had found to be terrifying. And, as a result, you were terrified of Jin. He had brought you to that void and your body was certain he would escort you back.
“I’m sorry,” He finally said, the words not burning him like he once thought they would for the longest time. “I’m sorry.”
You sniffled as you limply laid in his hold. You could feel the soft touch of his lips against your cheeks, collecting your tears as they brushed by in the lightest of kisses.
“Never again,” He mumbled, “I promise.”
You whimpered once more, the word liar echoing in your mind.
“I’ll give you what you want, I swear. You’ll never be that close to death again, I’ll keep you safe. Just give me time.”
You slightly perked in interest. What you want…what you want. He’ll give you what you want. You tilted your head up at the same time he went to kiss your forehead, only for him to gently kiss you instead. He froze for a moment, still as a statue as he processed what he had done before he did it again, and again, and again. It was like he had discovered a new insatiable hunger that he couldn’t settle no matter how many times he tried.
“I love you,” He admitted so softly against your lips that you thought you had imagined it.
He loved you. He was going to give you what you wanted. You had almost died. He was a liar. Your mind was reeling.
“No one else can have you, not even death can take you away from me; because you’re mine, remember?”

“What’s that in your hand?”
“H-Huh?”
“The flower,” Seokjin beckons at the rose he has in his hand, his tall figure and deadpanned eyes staring down at the man, it almost leaves him wanting to pee his pants right on the spot. “It’s not for the baker, now is it?”
Six more pairs of eyes stare directly down at him and yet he still has the audacity to say; “Yes, it’s..it’s for miss Y/N.”
“Ah.”
Suddenly the air in the little shop shifts and a sharp, cold breeze rushes through the room despite the fact that today should have been nothing but a pleasant breeze. Little ashes of smoke begin to appear from the thin air of the floors of the shop, sauntering around as customers sitting in their designated seats pick their feet up out of fear, their whispers of panic raising, and the man at the center of the demons’ wrath feels sharp ice crawling all over his body.
“It seems you want trouble,” Jungkook says as he takes a step forward, causing the man to step back, and so Jungkook keeps following along until he backs himself against the counter, trembling in sight while the rest of the people hold their breaths, too frightful to make a move in fear of being on the receiving end of the demons’ wrath.
“I-I don’t want trouble,” the poor man stutters.
Taehyung clicks his tongue in irritation while Jimin scoffs.
“Clearly you do,” Namjoon says. “You uttered her name. In the demon world, no one is allowed to utter someone’s name so carelessly. Only if they mean something to you and if the person has allowed you to utter their name.”
“I-I’m sorry sir, I-I didn’t know.”
“And giving roses,” Yoongi plucks the flower right out of his fingertips, “means an eternal love you are willing to spend the rest of your life with.” He burns the petty little thing right before the man’s eyes, all the while keeping his glare pointed right at him, causing the guy to visibly shallow a hard lump.
“Do you understand where you’re wrong?” Hoseok threatens, an arm propped up against Yoongi’s shoulder, hovering.
“I-I-” He looks like he’s about to piss his pants.
“Do you, understand?” So Hoseok reiterates, deeper, darker, graver. “Yes or no?”
“I..y-yes, yes—”
“What are you doing?”
A voice.
A sweet, sweet voice more precious and sweeter than the nectar the butterflies flock themselves onto, than any blood that can satisfy a vampire, than the sun that gives humans light and nutrients. A voice they love more than anything in this world.
Except the woman herself whom it belongs to.
They turn in an instant, ears perking up, head snapped, to find you standing before the door that leads to the backrooms, holding onto a tray of desserts they know you’ve made just for them, and their faces immediately soften.
The room brightens up, the shadows beginning to melt away into thin air in the same way they appeared, and Jimin is just about to rush up to you if it weren’t for your eyes suddenly shifting from them.
Your attention isn’t on them.
“You’re scaring the poor man!” You quickly say as you put your tray down onto the counter, rushing to untie the apron strings from behind, rushing in between them and the gentleman, an arm extending as you force Jungkook to back off. “Not just him but my customers!” You turn to address the guy. “Are you alright sir? I apologize for everything.”
He takes one glance behind you and instantly freezes up once more, quick to shake his head vehemently at the dark eyes staring straight into his soul — unbeknownst to you.
“I-I’m okay! I’m okay!” He blurts out before simply scurrying out the door before you can get another word in.
You stare at the scene, blinking at his sudden rush, before turning around to place your hands upon your hips, all the while the boys are quick to change up their expressions, acting as if they’ve been innocent all along.
“You just lost me a customer. Would you like to explain why you were interrogating the poor dude?” You start, brows furrowed, shoulders tense, chin slightly protruding and they know you’re trying to be all high and mighty but in their eyes, you just look like an upset bunny trying to fight seven wolves. “You really need to keep yourselves in check and stop summoning your shadows to show up out of nowhere, you know that scares people. How are my customers supposed to eat and drink and have a calm peaceful day if you just show up out of nowhere and deliberately make a scene?”
“M-miss Y/N, we’re fine but please—” An older woman tries to appease you, her approach timid as she holds her hands up, trying to calm you down in fear of the men in the room who’re the reason for your anger. “You don’t have to stand up for our sake.”
“We’re fine, you don’t have to do this.”
“I’d really love it if I didn’t have to witness our favorite baker in town—”
“What are you talking about, ma’am, they need a proper scolding,” you say otherwise, clearly unaware of the public’s concern for your life, being as you’re literally standing up against seven tall, masculine men who can literally bend the Earth and destroy this town with a flick of their wrist.
“Miss Y/N, please—”
“It’s alright, just go back to your coffee. I assure you I can handle this.”
“No please—”
You ignore their pleas to turn back around, that business smile fading the second you meet their eyes and they frown, hating the way you sounded kind to your customers and yet don’t bother to send them a smile.
“So then, what do you have to say for yourselves?”
“It’s not even that big of a—”
“Excuse me?” You cross your arms before your chest, looking up at them with a serious expression and they know they can’t not listen to whatever you say.
Only you can ever make them bend a knee.
“Sorry,” Jimin grumbles under his breath but you pretend you didn’t hear it.
“What was that?”
He sighs and steps forward, snaking an arm around your waist and pulling you in close, much to the audience’s dismay, and pepper kisses upon your cheeks. “You heard me darling, I said I was sorry.”
“Sorry. We’re sorry,” Jungkook joins in, a hand on your head as he presses a kiss to your temple.
You feel your heart lighting up, a smile waiting to creep up but you know not to give in just yet. “And to my customers?”
Namjoon crosses a hand over to his heart, giving the people a light bow. “We apologize for the inconvenience, dear customers of Y/N’s,” he says, and while they simply look back with mouths agape and widened pupils, frozen in their spots, he turns his head back your way, a cheeky little grin spread across his face as if asking for a compliment for doing the thing that you asked him to do.
You bite back a grin, seeing how obedient they are when it comes to you, but you know that if you let them see even the smallest bit of that, they'll disregard the people around them and simply coddle you to their heart’s content.
So you take Jimin’s hand and lead him into the backrooms, knowing the rest are quick to follow along, all the while leaving your customers blinking and rubbing their eyes, wondering if what they had just seen was right or if it had been simply a figment of their imaginations.
After all, everyone knows demons would never yield to a human that easily, much less care for them in the way they just treated you.
“Someone looks stressed.”
Once you’re finally left alone with your demons without any eyes kept on you, you let your guard down, smiling ruefully as you take a good look at the seven of them. Demons don’t live on sleep in the way humans need it, they get their energy elsewhere, but sometimes there are days you feel as if perhaps taking a nap will help them.
They look so tired.
“But that still doesn’t mean you can come around here and demand things out of my customers.”
Yoongi grunts, rolling his eyes at your words like a child hating to be scolded. “I get it, I get it,” he repeats exasperatedly when he walks over to place his head against your chest, letting you run your fingers through your hair to coddle him.
“But he was trying to give you roses,” Taehyung says as he clicks his tongue with irritation, that glare he has on is always enough to kill someone if he could, and for a good while you were scared of it yourself, but luckily you’ve gotten used to it. Taehyung would never hurt you after all.
And you know exactly what roses mean in the demon language. It was what they gave you when they confessed their undying love to you after all, a day you will never forget, a day they swept you off your feet and the very day you became forever theirs. You can never forget what those roses mean to them because to demons who’re almost incapable of feeling, much less love another, if a rose is given by them unto another, it is something one must never doubt.
“You do understand that roses aren’t as significant as they are to us humans, don’t you?” You remind them, a light chuckle leaving your lips when Taehyung drops his head onto your shoulder, asking for the same attention you’re giving to Yoongi. “I mean they mean a lot to me because they mean a lot to you but to humans in general, roses are just another sign of love.”
“Exactly, love. That’s a universal language and he was trying to steal you away from us.” You feel Hoseok’s arms slide around your waist from behind, lips pressing onto the nape of your neck.
“He didn’t know,” you try to excuse the action of the poor man who you didn’t even know was trying to confess to you just a few minutes prior.
But they’re having none of that.
“Who goes around professing their love to someone they don’t even know that well? Did he really believe a pretty girl like you would remain loveless by men all around her?”
You laugh awkwardly at Seokjin’s words. “What’re you trying to say by that?”
“He should know his place,” he says as he takes your chin from under his fingertips, bringing you forth to his face, “and that you, who is beloved by many, wouldn’t have already stolen the hearts of others around her. You attract after all, and just like those pretty little sweets you make every day before the town can even wake up, a simple glance at you can cause quite the addiction.”
“I..” You avert your eyes, cheeks heating because you know exactly what he’s trying to imply. “I don’t think I..”
“You don’t?” The eldest raises a brow as if daring you to further challenge his belief.
“W-well…” You stumble on your words before clearing your throat. “Sometimes too many sweets can be bad for you.”
“Well, luckily I have a sweet tooth.” A small little smirk curl along the corner of his lip, a low chuckle leaving him just as he leans in to capture your lips, leaving your heart to skip a thousand beats faster than its initial pounding.
He doesn’t kiss you for too long but even then, once he leaves you, you’re a blushing mess.
“Heart’s pounding rather fast,” Yoongi states, and you’re stumbling over your words once again.
“I..I-I wasn’t…”
“How long has it been? You’re still swooning over such a small thing?” Jungkook teases.
“It’s alright, I quite like it actually,” Seokjin says, his hand reaching up to tuck it behind your ear. “It’s quite refreshing seeing what we do still makes her react like this. You love us that much, huh darling?”
“If you’re here just to tease me, please just return to whatever it was you were doing before coming here.”
“Hey, don’t act like you don’t like it,” Namjoon pulls you back in when you try to run away to hide your embarrassment. They hold you in close, grips so steady you know there’s really no chance you’ll ever be able to escape.
Not that you want to.
And seeing those looks on their faces, you know they know that fact more than anyone else.
After all, these days can sometimes be rare; the days when they show up before you unexpectedly, most times without ever telling you beforehand. These days are the days you cherish the most, when you can be in their arms just like this, without ever feeling as if they would ever let you go.
Not until it’s time for them to leave. Not until they have to leave.
And it’s in those moments when they do have to leave do you feel the most lonely. When you have to stay behind, taking a moment to gather yourself, remember their holds and kisses, before returning to your baking with a customer smile on your face so no one knows just how lonely you are when your demons leave, knowing you can do nothing but wait until their next visit.
There are times when waiting takes days, weeks, and sometimes even a whole month and you’re always left wondering just where they are and where they’ve gone and what they’re doing.
But you know you’d never tell them just how lonely you really are when they’re gone.
After all, the times they visit are for the times of loving and holding one another. It isn’t a time to dwell on things that don’t matter, it isn’t a time to cry and wish and to hope. It’s a time to cherish what’s before you before they have to leave.
Only when they’re gone can you actually dwell on your loneliness.
“If something ever goes wrong or if you simply need us, you can call us anytime.”
You stare at the little bell shaped into a red rose one lonely night while standing under the stars in the middle of your garden.
It’s the garden of red roses they created for you, a garden that can never wilt no matter the seasons, time, or period. It dies only when the owner who received these flowers dies.
It will wilt only once you’ve wilted.
“Just how long will you continue to live, little ones?” You hold a hand out to feel the soft petals of the roses upon your fingertips, smiling at how pretty they are. Not even one petal is torn or hurt. They all look alive and well, alive and flourishing.
Jungkook says they reflect their owners’ age as you know that one day in the far future, these flowers will probably begin to look dainty and frail as well, and yet you don’t wish to ever see these flowers growing old with you.
Growing old means nearing death.
Growing old means wilting.
And then what will happen to the ones you’ll be leaving behind? The lifespan of a human does not last forever after all, and the more you think about it, the more you come to understand that they’ve got all the time in the world, hence they don’t ever look sad or griefed whenever they come to visit days or weeks or months later.
It is because to demons, the passing of time is simply but a second walking by.
Yet to you, every ticking second means a second closer to wilting away.
You let out a sigh, turning from the flowers to take a step forward towards your house when a harsh wind passes by, causing your shawl to fly off, and in an attempt to grab for it, you’ve forgotten about the bell you had in your hand, causing the little flower shape to fall from your hand and jingle as it hits the ground.
You gasp as you freeze in place because in just mere seconds, you know you aren’t alone anymore.
Seven presence right behind you.
Who would have thought it’d work this fast?
You quickly pick your bell up, eyes scanning forward at the shawl that flew off onto a rose bush, and rush forward to take it back because of how cold the night air has gotten.
“Well someone most certainly called us here on purpose, didn’t she?”
You turn back at Yoongi’s sarcastic comment once you’ve gotten your shawl to wrap it back onto yourself.
“Sorry! It was the wind,” you quickly say as you rush back to their side. “The bell was in my hand and when my shawl flew away, I forgot about it so when I went to reach for my shawl, the bell fell out and now here you are, summoned by the jingle.”
“So you’re not in immortal danger?”
At Seokjin’s question, you take a look around, wanting to laugh a bit at the situation. “Uh nope! Looks like I’m perfectly fine.”
“So you’ll only call us if you’re in immortal danger? How disappointing.” Jungkook lets out a heavy sigh, his lips pouting.
“What? You want me to call you if I miss you or something?”
“Yeah, why not?”
“Ha ha, very funny.” You place the bell securely into your pocket then tighten the shawl around your body. “Anyways, it’s pretty cold out here. You should get back to what you were doing. As you can see, I’m not hurt nor am I in any danger. In the meantime, I think it’s time for me to head to bed.”
You begin to walk off to your door again when Namjoon stops you.
“What were you doing out here?” He asks and you stop in your tracks, shrugging.
“Just thinking.”
“Thinking?”
“About immortality and stuff.”
“Immortality?” Jimin steps up to drape an arm around your shoulder in order to turn you back around to where they’re standing, at the same time helping you to keep warm against the night breeze. “What’s got you thinking about immortality, darling? Are you finally thinking about how to become one?”
“You know I like my human life.”
“Yeah, yeah,” he rolls his eyes. “Something about growing old is part of what makes human life so beautiful or whatever.”
“I don’t understand why death is beautiful to you,” Taehyung says.
“Well on the other hand, don’t you think immortality is somewhat of a curse?” You ask and they look upon themselves as if they’ve never given that idea a chance before.
“Why would it be a curse?”
“Well…” Your words trail off slowly and yet they wait for your explanation, eyes steady on you, ears open to whatever you have to say, and you play along with your fingers, nails digging into the skin a bit. “When I die…you’ll still have thousands of years left to live.” You avoid their eyes, staring down at the ground. “...Won’t you miss me?”
They grow silent.
Everything grows silent and you hear nothing but the little breeze that passes by ever so often, as well as the cicadas out in the night, singing their sweet songs, a melody mirroring the birds in the early morning.
“So you’re saying,” Hoseok begins, “that you’ll die before us.”
“It’s inevitable,” you say, looking up again. “Forty years may not mean a lot to you but forty years into the future means me getting old and gray and my health deteriorating. Humans are living and dying at the same time. I get closer to death with each passing day.”
“Don’t say that.”
“You know it’s true.” You watch as Jungkook turns to look at the flowers in the garden, his hand reaching out to touch one of them. “I’d never want to die and let you live through years of heartache. I’d never want to leave you behind in this world and no matter how happy we will be, death is something that is inevitable to come for me, you know that. Though I wouldn’t ever want you to follow along either. I don’t want to die together.”
“So you love your human life but you don’t want to die and leave us behind, but you also don’t want us to choose our own death in following you right behind, and you don’t wish to become an immortal.” Namjoon takes a step forward into your proximity, their expressions more grave than any other times you’ve ever seen them — except in those moments when you’re in immortal danger right before them. It frightens you a bit wondering what’s going on inside their heads, but what frightens you most is the inevitable future threatening to tear you apart.
“What is it that you want, Y/N?” Namjoon asks and you take a moment to think.
What is it that you want?
Why’re you thinking about immortality and death? Why was the wind listening to you when you were left to yourself in this garden? Why did it hear your silent plea in wishing to see them and therefore taking your fate into their hands and causing you to accidentally call for your demons?
Why does any of this even matter?
“I don’t know…” You look down at your feet, fingers unable to keep still, the vision before you blurring. “I-I don’t know,” you admit truthfully and when you look up again, their eyes widen at the sight of tears brimming along your waterline, waiting to fall down any second now. “I don’t want to live forever but I don’t…I don’t want to ever leave you behind and…and…I don’t know what I want. All I know is that…is that even though I enjoy this human life, I hate how different we are. I hate how different we think because to you, a day passing by means nothing. A week, a month, maybe even a year. A year without me is nothing to you. You can let time go by and it wouldn’t mean a thing because you get to live forever but to me…to me….I..”
You swallow the lump that wishes to cut your voice off, forcing the words out. “I hate waiting. I hate not knowing when it is you’ll be visiting again. I hate each day that passes, I hate it when you leave me, I hate being lonely and empty, I hate it when I have to wait. I hate it. I hate all of it.”
“Why didn’t you tell us?”
“I don’t know,” you cry, ignoring the tears that slip by when they close in on you. A few hiccups threaten to leave your voice behind but you continue talking through it all. “It’s just…I-I didn’t bring it up because I know you get busy and even if you aren’t so busy, I…I thought that, well, if the passing of time doesn’t affect you, why should it affect me?”
“You should have spoken up, my love.”
“You know if you asked for the world, we’d give it to you in a heartbeat, right? Why would you think we wouldn’t stop anything and everything if you just asked to be with us?”
“I don’t know,” you cry again, letting the last syllable drag out as more tears fall from your eyes and they’re quick to panic, realizing their reassuring words probably sounded more like them scolding you.
“It’s alright, it’s alright. You don’t have to cry anymore.”
“We know. We know now so it’ll be alright.”
“I’ll tell you what, become one of us.”
Your cry falls silent as only sniffles and small hiccups leave your lips when you hear those words. You blink up at Taehyung, slightly confused. “..What?”
“You heard him, become one of us.”
“I told you I don’t want to live forever.”
“You don’t have to live forever, darling.”
“I..I don’t?”
Yoongi shakes his head. “We can live together for as long as we want and when you get tired of life, when you get tired of immortality, just say the word and we’ll make it happen in a heartbeat.”
“...Really?”
“Of course.” Namjoon presses a kiss to your forehead just as you feel Taehyung’s hands wiping your tears away and Seokjin handing you a tissue he created from thin air. “Hoseok said, didn’t he? You could ask us for the world and we’d give it to you without question.”
“We’d burn the world if it means making you happy.”
“But what if I just want you and not the whole world?”
Soft smiles appear upon their faces, softening their features, whispering sincere affirmations of love.
“Oh darling, you already have us.”
“And you’ll have us even after death takes us all away.”
“But…I thought…” with the last remaining tears wiped away, you take a small little glance towards the rose bushes, eyes scattering off with confusion, “doesn’t immortality mean…forever? How would I..-How would we just…leave this world?”
“There is always an answer to everything,” you feel warmth seeping through the palm of Yoongi’s hand when he caresses your face, “and just like the stars that burn bright in the night, lasting for eons on end, they too have their beginning and ending and one day they will burn away as well.”
“Then, technically..you aren’t cursed with immortality?”
“Well technically, yes, but in theory, going against the ways of life means going against the laws of the world, which also means throwing things off balance, so it also means receiving death sentences for throwing off said balance.”
You take a moment to blink, trying to comprehend what Jungkook just said, before simply letting out an “Oh.”
They chuckle at your silence and you feel Jimin ruffle your hair. “Though of course we’d never let anyone touch you, not even the world. There are other ways to leave an immortal life but it’ll happen when we get there so don’t worry your little head off about how everything works.”
“You just have to trust us,” Seokjin agrees.
“You’ll trust us, won’t you?” Hoseok asks.
You take his hands in yours, eyes determined without a glint of hesitation. “I trust you with my life and until death do us part, it is yours to keep.”
Taehyung chuckles at the sentiment before repeating the vow you’ve just spoken. “Until death do us part.”

In honour of spooky season, here are some fanfic recommendations that I think fit the mood or theme of the season! What that means to me really is just some supernatural fics that I've enjoyed a lot. Hope you enjoy some of these fics as well, and if you do, don't forget to let the author know by leaving feedback! Most of these stories contain smut or other mature themes so MINORS DNI!

And the genie is of no help… he is insanely attractive though!
kim seokjin
useless magic by @raplinesmoon (2.3k) fantasy/fluff
[baker seokjin x witch reader]
summary: As owner of the hot new bakery in town, you should be more than ashamed to admit that your baking sucks. You know this fact. The only reason why people keep coming back to your bakery is that your desserts are enchanted: chocolate chip cookies that provide warmth and comfort, blueberry muffins that give a burst of energy to start the day, chocolate-covered strawberries spiked with love potions. One day, your fellow rival and bakeshop owner Kim Seokjin stumbles upon you in the midst of casting a spell. And chaos ensues.
in the dead of night by @ot7always (14.5k) smut/fluff
[vampire seokjin x reader, friends to lovers]

min yoongi
mine by @sailoryooons (14.8k) smut/horror/thriller
[yoongi x succubus reader]

the dark by @bratkook (18k) smut
[demon yoongi x reader]
summary: your small town thrives on the occult, luring tourists in with endless themed festivities, but the only place you’re determined to see is the mysterious club that comes to life the week before Halloween. what makes The Dark so exclusive, and what secrets are they hiding behind closed doors?
jung hoseok
not today, satan by @gimmethatagustd (3.7k) humor/a lil bit of smut
[demon hoseok x reader]
summary:  If you had known the demon tasked with reaping your soul would be a total #daddy you would have gone to Hell sooner!
what happened in neverland by @kithtaehyung (4.3k) angst/smut/pwp
[mermaid hoseok x pirate reader, enemies to lovers]
summary: you hate him. he’s your enemy. that’s just how it’s always been. so how the hell did you end up here?
the wood by @sailoryooons (16.7k) psychological thriller/smut
[witch hoseok x reader]

Determined to find out exactly how your sister went missing in such a small town, you receive unlikely help from the man staying in the motel room next to yours. But there is so much more than what meets the eye with Hoseok and the citizens of Kill Devil.
park jimin
cloud nine by @suga-kookiemonster (5.4k) smut/horror
summary: “he’s here again” viv whispers. “you know who. the hot guy who’s totally into you.” and he is hot – devastatingly hot enough that you know he can’t actually be into you, because the universe simply doesn’t work that way. that still doesn’t stop your heart from pounding when he smiles at you from across the room.
nectar by @gimmethatagustd (series, 35k) smut/angst/fluff
[human jimin x vampire reader, roommates to lovers, college au]
summary: Humans have this annoying habit of being drawn to danger, and you’re having a hard time stopping yourself from sinking your teeth into your new roommate. You’re not sure what’s more tantalizing: his impossibly good looks or his seemingly innocent way of flirting with the darkest part of you.
the prince’s cinderella syndrome by @jimilter (39.4k) angst/smut/fluff
[cursed jimin x reader, strangers to lovers]
summary:  He shows up at Halloween, every year, dressed the same, and leaves at midnight like some Cinderella. You would think he was a prankster if his eyes didn’t look like they contained all the sadness in the world. You don’t know him - no one on campus does. You don’t know why he appears only once a year. You don’t know why he never smiles. But you can’t help falling in love with him. Even if he breaks your heart when he abandons you at midnight, again.
lovely demons by @kpopfanfictrash (41.7k) fantasy/angst/smut
[prince of hell jimin x witch reader, enemies to lovers]
summary: As penance for a crime committed long, long ago, the Witch Council banished you to the feared Tholoss forest. Your sentence was one hundred thousand days of solitude – or death, whichever came first. Your only hope of salvation comes from the demon names routinely sent your way; creatures who escape the inner circles of Helland pose a threat to the mortal realms. For each demon you kill, days are removed from your sentence. For years you’ve existed, biding your time, until one morning you receive a name which throws your entire world into chaos: the name of Park Jimin, High Prince of Hell himself.
kim taehyung
moonstruck by @jungkxook (7.4k) smut/fluff
[werewolf taehyung x reader, arranged marriage au]
summary: in hindsight, being friends with a pack of werewolves and, thus, suddenly being thrown into a world of supernatural furries and other inhuman beings isn’t something you would recommend but it was too late to back out now, especially when you consider the fact that apparently you’re now being “hunted” and the only way to save you is to be mated with taehyung. whatever that means.
et sic incipit by @lavienjin (12.5k) smut/pwp
[incubus taehyung x virgin reader]
summary: For Taehyung, born of old and before the dawn of man, tempting mortals is nothing more than a pass-time to quench his boredom. Everything changes when he met you, literally too good to be true, but no human has ever resisted his pull. And he’s sure that you’re no different.
love you for infinity by @gimmethatagustd (24k) smut/angst/fluff
[ghost taehyung x human reader, long-lost lovers, soulmates (kinda)]

knot today by @kinktae (5.8k) smut/pwp

My Soul
No one said loving a vampire would be easy, especially not one who is tortured by his past and his present. Your love for him is eternal, even though you cannot be with him forever... Or can you?
pairing: vampire!seokjin x fem!reader
genre: vampire au, established relationship, smut
word count: 3.8k
warnings: vampire bites 😏 (i went crazy with that, sorry not sorry), dom seokjin/sub reader, unprotected sex, oral (f), praising, possessiveness, blood kink I guess 🫢.
a.n.: omg, i couldn't stop. eventually i did, lol, but please i hope this won't get ignored. 😔
'He is half of my soul', you said to your parents. 'He knows me by heart, he knows me more than I know myself'. They tried to hold you back, but they couldn't, to be whole, you have to be with him. You fled, you ran away with all the conviction in the world.
You knew where your love was hidden. Hidden from society, hidden from humans because no one wants to understand him. No one but you. You're the only one who accept him as he is; a blood-thirsty creature from the deep darkness.
He's not dangerous, no, he's only a man damned to live forever alone. 'Why do you bother to be with me, darling? Why do you do that to yourself?', he told you one day and you responded without any hesitation, 'I love you so much, I cannot be with anyone else. Staying by your side is the best decision I have ever made in my life.'
It was the best decision and still is, but you wonder sometimes if love can last eternally. You don't want to leave him. Though, one day you'll have to. As cruel as it is, vampires are immortal. Seokjin can't die, unless you rip his heart out of his rib cage. No matter how strong you love him, he is with you until your death, and he will suffer, more than you could ever imagine.
You joined him in the large and cold mansion he occupied for a hundred years. You share a house with him, yet, you spend your days - nights - searching him through the manor. He wakes up when the night falls and sleeps when the sun rises. You try to follow his biological clock, but your human-self needs to see the natural light.
So you search, you search... Opening each door, lighting every candle, calling his name during hours. The manor is big, immense. He had a hundred years to adapt to the place, you had less than eight months.
Maybe this is what it's like to love a vampire. It's not easy, nobody told you the contrary, but you thought that perhaps he'd show you his world. It feels like he's scared to take you with him, locking himself up in his office or in the library.
After all, he drinks your blood every two days, he sinks his fangs into your flesh, he makes love to you while sipping this fluid that nourishes him out of your body. You gave up on your life, you left your family behind you to live the big love. You don't regret it, of course you don't because no one else makes you this happy without even proving to you their existence daily.
But you want him to trust you and believe in you. Believe that you don't see a monster in him, only a beautiful angel who found himself trapped in the body of a cold hearted vampire. This is not his fault, this is who he is and no matter what he has done in his past or what he will do in his future, you will stand by his side for the rest of your life.
The night has fallen, the stars in the sky are shining and the air is cold. You shiver, walking into the hall, your feet stepping on the red carpet longing the floor. You tried the library, but you didn't see Seokjin there, so you are heading to his office. He hasn't eaten in two days already and he might be hungry. You know he won't come to you, you have to find him yourself.
He's ashamed of who he is, he doesn't like to take your blood, but at the same time it procures him so much pleasure - every time he takes a bite, he regains all of his energy and power. He says he doesn't like being a vampire, that sometimes he'd rather starve himself than drink your blood.
In reality, he hates being dismissed by humans. He hates being different, hates how people are scared of him when he was one of them once upon a time. He wasn't born like this; he had a mother and a father like everyone else, yet they think he's devoid of any humanity.
You knock on the wooden door, hearing a chair being pushed against the floor and footsteps approaching. You hold your breath, preparing yourself to see him. You came early in the morning, at one o'clock approximatively, only to not miss him. He never leaves the manor, but the whole place is practically a maze in which you have to find the exit in order to spend a night with the love of your life.
The doorknob turns and the door opens, letting you see Seokjin for the first time today. He looks tired, his black hair is messy and his bangs cover his eyes. His plush lips are red, tainting towards the colour violet, missing cruelly the warmth of your skin. He has on a black dress shirt that shows a little bit of his clavicles and is tucked into his trousers. A belt accentuates his tiny waist and his shirt hugs perfectly his large shoulders.
"Hi." You greet him softly, a smile crowning your lips. He eyes you up and down and you shiver under his intense gaze. "Can I come in?" You ask, even though you could do whatever you want here, after all you share this house with him. You prefer to ask anyway because you know how much Seokjin likes to be in peace and work in silence.
You notice him clenching his jaw, maybe trying to get the pain away; his teeth must hurt since he didn't eat in two days. You wonder if the pain is amplified by your presence and your smell. He probably feels the thirst more intensively with your blood running through your veins a meter away from his fangs.
"Of course." He responds calmly, stepping aside for you to walk in the room. You pass by him, looking at the half-moon shining through the windows. His desk is right in front of them, his drawing and painting materials scattered all over it. He closes the door behind him, following you as you observe the scene in front of you.
A canvas is supported on an easel, a small table settled aside of it where a jar filled with paint brushes and a painting palette are placed on. You look at the canvas, recognizing the face of someone with feminine features. The painting is half-way through finished and you think the woman presented might be you.
"It's beautiful." You turn around toward Seokjin, seeing him shoving his hands into his pockets. His gaze is set on you, but then it shifts to the painting. He walks until he's beside you, looking at his work, analyzing each part of it to find any detail that could be interpreted as an imperfection. "Is that what is taking all of your time? Making you forget that you have to eat?" You question him.
He sighs. "Perhaps." He says, stepping to his desk and leaning down on it. You follow him with your gaze, seeing how his skin glows under the light of the moon. He looks like a prince, a prince from heaven you would affirm if you didn't know he was a vampire. "I'm not hungry."
You can't accept more lies from him. You can't stand there, facing him, when you are the witness of his own descent to hell. "You know you are, Seokjin. Don't you think I see how you ogle at my neck?" You move closer to his leaning body, his fingers gripping the sides of the desk, knuckles turning white.
A part of you wants him to take what's his, to take you and your blood, to mark you as his and only his. He needs to eat and you don't care about the stupid morals he tries to stick to. You understand his pain, you understand how he regrets what he's done, but there's a point where he must accept who he is. He might be a vampire, he still thinks like a human.
"Don't come closer." He warns you once you are a meter away from him. He closes his eyes, inhaling through his nose as he tries to keep control of himself. Your smell invading his nostrils doesn't facilitate the task, though.
"Why? Will you bite me?" You dare to say, well aware that it's what is going to happen. "Seokjin..." His name rolls on your tongue, leaving your mouth pleading and desperate. "You don't have to be afraid of who you are." You assure him, disobeying him as you step closer.
He doesn't respond, he looks at you, he listens to what you have to say. It won't be done overnight, but you'll help him, that's why he's your soulmate. If he's not complete, you're not either.
Your body reach him and he has to hold himself back from following his vampire instinct. You glare up at him and his lips tremble, his eyes are glossy, he wants to keep you away from the beast he thinks he is. You lay your palm on his cheek, the warmth of your skin contrasts with the coldness of his own.
"Because I'm not." You murmur to Seokjin, his muscles tensing up at your contact, closing the gap between you two. "I'm not afraid." You repeat. Your breasts are pressed against his chest, your hair gracing the side of your neck where he usually digs his canines in.
He leans in unconsciously, his desire stronger than his morality. Your lips brush against his, giving you goosebumps and making your heart beat faster. "You should be, darling." He whispers against you and his breath fans across your face. You missed having him this close to you, so close you can hear him breathing.
You close your eyes, feeling his plush lips softly laying down on yours. He kisses you and positions his hands on your hips, fervently rocking your two pelvis against each other. You back away, leaving Seokjin to stare at your lips. "I love you the way you are." You confess, even though that's not much of a secret.
He crashes his mouth on you again, this time rough and impatient. His way of saying 'I love you more', you suppose. This breaks your heart a little because you can't love him forever, the contrary of him. He can and he will, you know it.
His large hands run up and down your sides as your arms are secured around his shoulders. The thin material of your robe allows you to feel Seokjin's touch more distinctively, as if there is nothing between his fingers and your skin. You can feel his rings poking your flesh, leaving bruises all over your hips.
He touches you like he's discovering your body for the first time again, but he knows it like the back of his hand. Your body is his sanctuary, his most precious property, a sacred object he has to keep safe. This is ironic because when he bites you, he feels like he's ruining you.
His right hand slides up on your body, feelings the curves of your waist and breasts, and cups your jaw. He makes you look at him, his slender fingers poking your cheeks as he holds you tightly. His skin is cold, but you love it, you love having it against you. It reminds you that as long as you're alive, you'll be with him. Always with him.
"You don't know how you make me feel." He whispers and you close your eyes a second to enjoy his breath against your face. "You don't know..." You open them again and you see that his pupils are dilated. You feel like a prey under him right now and you shudder, the adrenaline running through your veins, excitement bubbling in your belly.
You gasp out of surprise when you feel your feet leaving the floor, Seokjin raising you up, your thighs around his waist. He turns you both around and lays you down on his desk. All signs of control are gone and you're totally at the mercy of the vampire.
He unties the belt of your robe, revealing your naked body to his hungry eyes. He groans when the scent of your arousal reaches his nose. He inhales your smell deeply and he turns crazy, completely forgetting any sense of rationality he has.
He kneels to be at the same level of your crotch and his head dips between your thighs. He nibbles the skin of your inner thighs, licking and sucking like it's his last meal. His large hands hold up your thighs for you, kneading the flesh as he leaves wet trails on your skin.
"Mmh-!" You whine when you feel sharp teeth brushing against you as sloppy kisses are left over your thighs. You lift your head up slightly to watch Seokjin and you moan out as you notice his fangs shining under the glow of the moon. You throw your head back against the wooden surface, his tongue now licking your clit.
He swipes his tongue from side to side, creating friction and making you wetter than you already are. Your fingers instantly find his fluffy head of hair, gripping on his black locks. He slides his pink muscles through your folds, your walls clenching around nothing as he comes back again to lap at your sensitive bud.
Your hole is quivering while Seokjin focuses on your clit, sucking on it quite relentlessly until he replaces his mouth with his index and middle fingers. You buck your hips when he begins to do circular motions on your bud, pressing on it and sending waves of heat between your legs.
You don't mind the change, but you understand why he did as he gives you open-mouthed kisses on your inner thighs. You shiver when he gently bites your flesh, not sinking his teeth in, only chewing on your skin. He prepares you for an eventual bite, teasing by poking you with his canines.
"Jin! Oh- God." You arch your back at the sudden pain going through your body, tightening your grip on Seokjin's hair. His fangs slowly enter your skin, piercing through it like a sharpened knife. The stinging pain is intoxicating - familiar at this point, giving you the pleasure that you needed.
You feel your blood being sucked up out of your veins to nourish Seokjin. His canines are severely sunk into the flesh of your inner thigh while his fingers are still working on your clitoris. The knot in your stomach tightens rapidly and he quickens the pace on your bud, sending you over the edge.
"Aah... Yes, yes..." You moan, your thighs trembling around his head, pelvis moving frantically against his hand. You squeak when you feel his fangs pulling out of you, leaving two bleeding holes on your thigh. He massages softly your clit to drive you off your high as he eyes your wound he made to you, watching the blood dripping down your meaty flesh.
He grips your thighs and pushes them back, exposing your pussy to him. He licks up your cuts, collecting the red fluid on his tongue. The metallic taste linger on his taste buds and he savours each second of it, swallowing everything til the last drop.
You know it's not enough for him even though you already feel dizzy from the lack of blood. He needs more, the veins in your thigh are not big enough for his thirst. It's not the first time he bites you there, the placement feels intimate and is perfect during sex, arousing the both of you. But since he went two days without swallowing anything, he might go in for more later.
He then stands up, hovering over your weak body. "You're delicious, love. So fucking good..." He praises before he kisses you and you can taste the remains of your own blood. You wince at the unpleasant flavour, but after all those times, you got used to it.
The stuff that was previously on the desk is now on the floor as it fell during the moment he was eating you out. Seokjin can't bother less, immersed into the luxury of having you displayed like that in front of him.
He unbuckles his belt anxiously, his eyes filled with lust as he looks down at you. He passes the leather material through the metal loop, unbuttoning and unzipping his trousers. You bite down on your lip in anticipation, wanting nothing more than his hard cock into you. You can clearly see the large bulge deforming his briefs and you salivate at the sight.
He pulls out his erection out of his underwear, lowering his bottoms down his thighs. His dick bounces up gracefully, hitting the soft silk of his dress shirt. You love how he doesn't care about undressing, so eager to feel his cock wrapped up by your tight walls. "Shit, darling. So wet for me." He states, glancing at the wetness dripping out of your hole, running down to your ass. "I'll fuck you good, I promise."
You whimper when he slides his tip through your slicks, parting them open to make an entrance for his cock. He pumps himself a couple of times, spreading your juices over his dick as you stare at it in awe. Seokjin is painfully long and a bit curvy, capable of hitting you in the right places. Each time he enters you, he does it slowly and it feels like a never-ending agony.
"Please, Jin." You quietly plead, knowing that a man like him demands to be begged. He always gives you what you want when it comes to sex.
With a hand enveloping the base of his shaft, he sinks into your wet cunt inch by inch. He hisses when he bottoms out, your pussy completely filled with his hard cock. "Fuck, you take me so well, sweetheart. So well..." He breathes out, staying still for a moment before he goes out until his tip is only in.
Your legs are hanging on his shoulders, meaning that when he'll thrust in, you'll feel him deeply inside. He wastes no time to pound into you and your boobs bounce on your chest from the hardness of his strokes. "Jin!" You scream his name, gripping the side of the desk tightly to not get pushed away by Seokjin's dick pumping into your pussy.
"That's it, yell my name like it's the only thing you know." He groans when you contract your walls around him. "Scream it because you're mine, Yn." You moan at his words, frowning your eyebrows from the burning pain you feel on the back of your thighs. His skin slaps hard against yours, leaving your own sore and irritated.
You're his, only his until your death, until your soul leaves the earth and abandons his forever. He might as well die with you when you think about it because without the other, you simply can't live. The half of your soul, the missing piece of your happiness.
"I'm yours, Jin. I'm yours." You repeat, closing your eyes to fully enjoy the pleasure he's giving you.
He repeatedly hits your sensitive spot, making you moan and cry under his body. He holds your thighs tightly against his chest, his nails sinking into your flesh. "Ah, fuck..." He curses as you clench around him again, feeling your high approaching.
He eyes your neck, seeing your jugular pulsing, inviting him to pierce it. He grits his teeth, his fangs still visible, meaning he's not satiated. You tilt your head to the side, showing him your flesh to encourage him to bite you. He leans down on you and his thirst prevails, again.
"Mph!" You scrunch your eyes shut at the intrusion of his teeth into you for a second time, the area of your neck much more sensitive than your thigh.
He drinks your blood greedily and he pounds into you faster and harder, his own orgasm threatening to arrive soon. You'll cum soon too, his cock slipping in and out of your pussy and brushing against your walls make the knot at the pit of your stomach tightens.
His Adam's apple bobs every time he takes a gulp, every time he takes blood out of your veins. "Ah, Jin! I'm cumming!" You yell, warning him. Your hole quivers and Seokjin's thrusts rip an intense orgasm out of you, your whole body shakes like a leaf.
He backs away from your neck abruptly, blood flowing in abundance since he pierced the biggest vein, the wound freshly open. "Fuck, fuck!" He places his arms on each side of your head, his pelvis hitting your sensitive clit as he sinks his cock in and out, chasing his orgasm. "A-ah, shit!" He bucks his hips against you, staying still. He shoots his cum in you, painting your walls white, his dick twitching angrily as he milks himself dry into the warmth of your pussy.
He licks your neck up while he lazily fucks his cock in you, healing your wound. You shudder under his body, your chest and forehead covered in sweat.
After your session of heated sex, you both returned to your shared bedroom. Seokjin has all of his energy back as well as his powers.
"Jin?" You call his name softly, bringing his attention on you. You're laying beside him on your belly while he is staring at the ceiling, a hand on his stomach.
"Mh?" He hums, telling you to continue.
"You could transform me." His eyes snap open, turning his head in your direction worryingly. He sits up on the bed and you follow his actions, doing the same. As he seems completely afraid, you smile. "I want you to show me your world. I want to be a part of it." You confess, shifting your body closer to him.
"You are already a part of it. You are my world, sweetheart." He tells you, his voice sounding through the silence of the night.
"Jin, I love you." You take his hand in yours, your warmth enveloping him. "More than you could ever imagine and I know you feel the exact same. But tell me, tell me you don't want to leave me." He frowns, confused, because the idea of leaving you is strange to him, totally delusional.
"I would never."
"Then prove it to me." He's about to answer you, but you cut him off before he can. "Bite me. Give me the ability to love you for eternity." You say in one breath, having memorized this whole sentence into your mind. Having imagined this scene in your head numerous times before. "Take me with you. Don't ever see me die, don't ever suffer for the loss I would be."
You feel your eyes watering, looking at Seokjin hopefully, wishing for a positive response. "Is that what you want? Are you sure?" He asks you. You chuckle, finding his question silly, but still adorable.
"Yes, I am."

Two days earlier…
After you calmed down, Yoongi told you about his original plan. Arriving at the safehouse was part of it, but he was actually in search of a rare plant. He had rummaged through Professor Seokjin’s office to see if there were any clues that would tell him where he went and sure enough, there were secret files about Blue Calamus on his computer.
Aka truth weed. Ingesting the plant would make you susceptible to speaking the truth for half an hour. Yoongi suspected that if he found the truth weed, he would find Jin too. And that meant he could help you and him find out what happened to Hoseok and his sister.
The first 24 hours were bad luck. You and Yoongi were following Jin’s footsteps, hitting up all the spots truth weed was claimed to be grown at. Unfortunately, every place turned out to be a dead end or false advertisement. After resting at a motel, the two of you accepted your defeat and ventured into the woods.
“Damn it. That town was our last hope,” Yoongi grumbled, taking a seat on a log. You took a look at the map Yoongi had brought and the glint in your eyes caught his attention. “What is it?”
“My mother’s campus is nearby… maybe she can help. I haven’t heard from her in a while.”
“Got your phone?”
“No. It wasn’t on me when Sunghyun teleported me.”
“I’ll call her.” The professor dialed her number and waited. When it finally went to voicemail, he tried again. “She’s not picking up.”
“It’s fine. Let’s just go.”
As you and Yoongi drew nearer, his phone suddenly buzzed with over 100+ messages and calls. The device was in a frenzy as notifications popped up nonstop. “HELP”, “SAVE US”, “DANGER” were the keywords you could make out and the ones responsible for the messages were three people: Seokjin, Hoseok, and your mother.
“What the hell is happening?!” Yoongi asked, swiping his thumb to open the messages and read them as fast as he could while more flooded in.
“Look, Professor Jin’s calling!”
“I see that, but my phone is glitching like crazy!” It took a few tries, but he finally managed to pick up the call.
“Get your ass over to [M/N]’s campus now! We’re being attacked!” A loud explosion could be heard in the background, alarming you and Yoongi both. He desperately called out Jin’s name, but the connection had fizzled out.
Filled with a mixture of fear and determination, you and Yoongi realized the gravity of the situation. You had to act now because that meant your mother’s safety was at stake too. And the kids. The poor, innocent kids.
With a renewed sense of urgency, you and the professor swiftly abandoned your search for truth weed and sprinted to your mother’s workplace.
The damage was far worse than anything you could’ve imagined. The combined elementary and junior high school building was crumbling to the ground, fire was spreading at a rapid rate, and gunshots were heard in the distance.
You jumped right into battle, quickly realizing the culprits weren’t human. It was a team of werewolves and vampires—the same werewolves and vampires you might’ve pissed off during the time your humanity was off.
“Ah shit…”
“Recognize us, you filthy hybrid?” one of the vampires taunted. Yoongi whipped his head to look at you.
“You know them?”
“I might’ve… tortured them when I turned off my humanity,” you admitted, offering him a sheepish grin. Yoongi pulled out his shotgun from his backpack, having half a mind to shoot you instead but restrained himself.
“I’ll cover you,” he stated in a gruff voice. You nodded and began taking them down one by one. The professor covered you as promised until you two made your way inside the burning building. A cry for help alerted you to go upstairs to the second floor and that’s when you found Hoseok and his sister fighting against a team of werewolves.
Honestly, they could hold their own pretty well. You only jumped in when you saw there was another one trying to sneak up on Dawon. She thanked you and returned the favor by saving you from a grenade. Hoseok was almost unrecognizable with how angry he was. He fought dirty, the remaining wolves clearly not a match for his ire and you remembered why he used to be alpha. However, his bright smile returned when the wolves retreated and he hugged you tightly.
“[Y/N]! You’re alive, oh my god. You don’t understand how happy I am,” He then quickly released you. “Oh man, I bet you want to kill me. I’m so sorry for what I did.”
“She’s the one who put me in a coma,” a sinister voice said. Hoseok and you glanced over at his sibling, who was pointing her gun in your direction. You waited in suspense for her next move but then she broke out into the same heart-shaped grin Hoseok had. “Just kidding~.”
She lowered her weapon and Hoseok laughed at your stunned pikachu-meme face. “You got her good!”
“What the fuck is going on?!” you exclaimed, crossing your arms at the two siblings.
“Meet my sister, Dawon.”
“I go by Jiwoo now, actually,” she replied.
“Right, we changed our identities. I still prefer Hoseok.”
“Nice to see you again,” Jiwoo states with a wave. “Thanks for not killing me.”
“Ditto…?” you said, confused beyond compare.
“Wait, we lost Professor Jin and your mom,” Hoseok said, frantically looking around. You copied his actions and realized you had lost someone too.
“Professor Min was just with me.”
Some more gunshots were heard from the rooftop of the building, so the three of you headed there. Professor Jin had set up a force field to shield him, your mother, and Professor Min while a team of vampires attacked from all sides. Once again you jumped in with zero hesitation but the added assistance of the Jung siblings ensured your victory. The enemies retreated and you all got off the burning building before the flames could engulf you all.
“What happened to my mother?” you asked worriedly. Professor Jin was carrying her limp body, which was full of bloody lacerations and bullet wounds. Everyone had been injured to some degree, but your mother received the most damage.
“She fought hard to protect her employees and students. She distracted the enemies while everyone ran. It’s our fault. We had brought them here to the school.”
“I’m fine,” your mother croaked. “Put me down, I can walk.”
“Are you joking?” you scolded. “You’re lucky to even be alive.”
“What do we do now?” Yoongi asked, watching the school building continue to burn down.
“My employees and I had an evacuation plan put in place in case this happens. There’s a secret tunnel beneath the school that leads to an underground chamber. I can heal myself there.”
Tumblr media
The underground chamber was concealed from the outside world, shielded by layers of enchantments and natural barriers. Its interior was illuminated by soft, ethereal light emanating from glowing crystals embedded in the walls. Children’s laughter could be heard from all around and you were relieved to see everyone was okay.
Employees of your mother’s took her from Jin’s arms, immediately grabbing some healing herbs and medicinal plants that grew along the chamber’s walls. They reassured you she would be okay and that the herbs would accelerate her recovery.
Some students greeted you and you were pleasantly surprised at how welcoming they were. Considering the last time you saw them was when you had a gun in your hand, the kind gesture touched your heart. They asked if you defeated the bad guys, to which you gave them a thumbs up. It was so pure how they looked at you like you were a superhero and it reminded you of why you wanted children in the first place.
“Hey, we found a place to talk,” Jin said with a nod of his head for you to join him. You bid farewell to the kids and made your way over to the secluded area away from the crowd.
Everyone took a seat on the comfortable cushions the chamber provided, you being the last to sit in the circle. You noticed Hoseok caressing Yoongi’s face, most likely asking him about his scar. Something about the moment seemed… tender. Until Professor Min swatted his hand away, face flushed.
“We have a lot to discuss,” Jin said with a loud clap to get everyone’s attention. He pointed his pressed palms at you. “[Y/N]. I’m sure you have questions.”
“Yeah… Why are you here? With them?” You gestured to the Jung siblings and they both pointed at themselves as if there were any other Jungs around.
“When I quit my job, I went on a mission to find Blue Calamus because that would be the only way to figure out what was going on and prove to Namjoon that I didn’t orchestrate anything.”
“Why not use a truth spell? You’re a witch. You’ve done it before.”
“I felt like my magic was being tampered with. Spells always have loopholes and by then it was too late. Once I left campus, I couldn’t get back in. Something was blocking me. Like a magic that surpassed mine. I couldn’t text or call anyone on campus.”
“Same here,” Hoseok added. “I tried to message Professor Min and [Y/N], but none of the texts went through. No calls. Nothing.”
“So how did I finally get your call, Jin?” Yoongi questioned.
“I think it’s because you were within a certain radius of me. Whatever magic was being used to block our communication had limits.”
“Do you think it was Ari…?” you asked, though your tone indicated you already knew the answer.
“Most likely. She was my top student,” Jin answered. “Anyway, the hunt for Blue Calamus was nearly impossible. I spent months trying to find it and ran into many dead ends. At one point I ran into the Jungs.”
You turned your attention to Hoseok and he cleared his voice in preparation to speak.
“After I… did what I did to you…” he started to say hesitantly. “I got to the hospital and rescued my sister. We fled town and went to our parents’ safe house to find out they had been murdered.”
He waited for a reaction from you, but you simply said nothing.
“You know?”
“Professor Min and I discovered their bodies yesterday. I’m sorry about your loss. Do you know who killed them?”
“I’m sure we all know who it is.” The whole group gave each other a knowing glance, so Hoseok continued, “Jiwoo got a text saying we deserved it because I tried to warn you about a mole.”
“Jimin…” you muttered.
“Not just Jimin. He’s not working alone. Someone else contacted my sister and family first.”
“Who’s that?”
Jiwoo intervened, “Months ago I was spying on your campus to get more information about Jungkook, so we could kill him. Needless to say, I was spotted. He told me he wanted Jungkook dead too, so we formed an alliance to attack you all on patrol. I described the guy’s face to my brother after I woke up from the coma.”
You anticipated her answer with bated breath.
“... Kim Taehyung. He’s the other person working with Jimin.”
“Oh my god… Tae wanted Jungkook dead? Tae started this… with Jimin? This is insane,” you said, clenching your fists. Your emotions were in flux because even if it was an obsession, Taehyung never failed to profess his love for you. Killing Jungkook was one thing, but he’d never ask for you to be killed. Would he?
Did he place that listening device to spy on you for Jimin?
Your gaze fell onto Hoseok and he sighed, waiting for the other shoe to drop. He could tell you were dying to ask the burning question by your conflicted expression. “Ask me. I’ll tell you everything.”
“Why did you kill me? Did Tae… did he force you to do it?”
“Taehyung, Jimin, doesn’t matter. They were blackmailing me. Jiwoo had been compelled to kill herself if she ever met you. I couldn’t let that happen.”
You raised a brow at this revelation. “Um… I met her,” You engaged in a rapid back-and-forth motion, alternately gesturing towards her and then towards yourself. “How is she alive?”
“I removed the compulsion with a spell,” Jin explained.
“Hurt like a bitch,” Jiwoo mumbled.
“Okay… How’d you escape your cage in the first place?” you asked Hoseok.
“Someone messed with my food. It made me hallucinate, get angry—I wasn’t thinking straight. It made me strong too. Enough to break out.”
You shot an accusatory look at Professor Min, but Hoseok intervened. “Yoongi didn’t do anything.”
He called him Yoongi…
“And how do you know?”
“Because I didn’t see who brought me my food. I woke up and it was already there. After eating it, it felt like all my negative emotions took control of my body.”
You glanced over at the kids playing on the other side of the chamber, thinking about how you’ll never be able to have one of your own. Hoseok followed your gaze, pained by your crestfallen eyes. “I am truly, truly sorry. I know I can never make it up to you.”
“It’s fine,” you said curtly. “Continue. What happened once you found your parents?”
“We heard gunshots and fled. Didn’t even have enough time to bury them either. It was like whoever was threatening us didn’t want us to. I took Jiwoo to a new town far away, changed our names, and moved on.”
“Until Seokjin came,” Jiwoo informed. “He convinced us to join him in finding the truth weed. Hobi was against it, but I had to know who killed our parents before exacting revenge..”
“Why would he be against it?”
“He didn’t want anything to happen to me.”
Of course. Anything for his sister.
“But that’s when we got ambushed by supernaturals,” Jin said, “The same ones that attacked your mom’s school. They chased us all the way there, but we were so desperate for help and didn’t think about the consequences. We’re sorry, [Y/N]. It’s our fault.”
It’s mine. I pissed them off. They wanted revenge. They must’ve known I was associated with the three of them.
“It’s not. It’s my fault.” Your confession earned you the spotlight. “A lot happened on campus while you were gone, professor. I turned my humanity off. Tortured some supernaturals for kicks. Clearly they wanted revenge. I’m sorry.”
“None of us blame you,” Hoseok stated in a grave voice. “During our battles, one of them said they were paid by someone to do it. There’s a good chance they were the same ones who ran us out of the safehouse too.” You wondered if he was comforting you merely due to his guilt.
“It’s your turn. What’s going on back on campus? How’d you get that scar?” Jin asked Yoongi.
“Excuse me," a sweet, high-pitched voice said kindly. You all turned to see Sarang, the 8-year old vampire girl you remembered being enamored with when your mother took the students on the field trip to BTSU. “Ms. [Y/N]? Your mom wants to see you.”
You got out of your criss-cross sitting position and stood up, following the little girl to another part of the chamber where greenery was abundant. Your mother was tending to one of the flowers, so you grabbed a nearby watering can to help her after thanking Sarang. The little girl ran off to play with her friends, delighted to be of use.
“You always did have a green thumb,” you started to say as you poured water on another flower. Your mother smiled at the comment and you two took a while to water plants in comforting silence. But of course that didn’t last long because as most mothers do, yours started to nag you about how you were doing it all wrong. She couldn’t help but correct you on how much to water, why not to water too much, blah, blah blah.
“If you get even an extra drop on that one, it’ll die,” she warned, pointing to an odd, fuzzy plant. “Let me do it.”
“You recover fast,” you noted as you got out of her way. “What is all this, Mom?”
“Well, a few years ago I started growing some special plants and herbs in case there was an emergency. Your father was exceptionally great at it and well, since he hasn’t returned yet, I kept it alive and well. It’s our garden.”
The moonstone of your necklace flickered. “I miss him.”
“I miss him too.” She tended to the last plant and set the watering can down. It was then she gave you a hug, which you reciprocated. “I miss you more.”
“I know, Mom.”
“I don’t know what’s going on, but I hope you will tell me,” She patted your back. “I want to help you however I can.”
You stopped hugging her to look her right in the eyes. “Do you happen to have Blue Calamus? It’s known to have a strong minty taste.”

Two hours before the present…
Thanks to your mother and Professor Jin’s expertise, you and your team not only had an adequate supply of truth weed but also tranquilizers. One spell later and the plants from your mother’s garden transformed to a serum that was easy to weaponize. You opted for blow darts while the rest of while everyone else chose syringes.
With time dwindling, you all agreed on a plan and knew there was only one chance to get it right.
First, Yoongi took a vial of your blood back to campus while you, Jin, Hoseok, and Jiwoo were on standby in the forest. The Flame of Imprisonment prevented supernaturals from entering, so he had to convince Namjoon to blow out the candle.
Once that was done, you and your team snuck and took out any stragglers who weren’t in the cellar. Jin and the Jung siblings decided to split up to cover more ground on campus. Few minutes later, Jiwoo cried out that she had spotted Jungkook and Sunghyun coming out of the girls’ dorm rooms, so Hoseok bolted in that direction.
The two siblings were relentless in their chase, firing rounds in an attempt to subdue them. Despite their efforts, the boys evaded every bullet, leaving the Jungs frustrated and desperate. Closing in for the crucial injection with the serum seemed an impossible task.
In the midst of the chase, Professor Jin, quick-witted and determined, joined the pursuit. Using his unique abilities, he materialized in front of Sunghyun, injecting him with the serum before he could react.
Meanwhile, Jungkook, fear etched across his face, edged backwards away from the trio, seeking an escape from the chaotic scene. The amulet nestled in his pocket began to glow and in an instant, he disappeared.
“[Y/N],” Professor Jin’s voice rang urgently in your ears. The magical earpieces he conjured up were quite useful. “We got Sunghyun, but Jungkook vanished. He must’ve teleported somewhere.”
“I think I know where he is. I’ll meet you guys in the cellar.”
You switched off the earpiece, exhaling deeply as you ventured through the mountain tunnel. The sire bond had undeniably weakened, yet a subtle tingling sensation persisted whenever Jungkook was near. Upon pinpointing his teleportation, you swiftly made your way to Namjoon's office, where you secured the spare keys.
Standing before the familiar, imposing door, you unlocked it and continued walking until you reached the iron gate entrance. Each step you took weighed down your heart, the haunting echoes of Jungkook’s hurtful words ringing in your ears.
Murderer.
So spiteful. So heartless. So… cruel. You could only come up with one conclusion and that’s why your role in the plan was so painful.
“Who’s there?”
He doesn’t sense me. The sire bond…
As you drew near, your eyes met Jungkook’s for the first time in what felt like an eternity. Your heart wavered between relief and resentment, torn between the conflicting emotions. The gate that stood between you and him was a tangible barrier that reflected the emotional chasm grown between you two.
Jungkook’s eyes lit up with a mixture of joy and anguish. He had longed to see you again, to know you were safe and unharmed. But as he looked into your eyes, he could sense the pain and betrayal emanating from you. It was a blow to his heart, a realization that the connection you two shared had been severed.
“[Y/N]...” His voice trembled with the weight of unspoken apologies and the desperate hope for understanding. “I’m so glad you’re okay.”
“Not another word,” you said, voice strained with a mixture of anguish and disappointment. “I don’t want to hear anything you have to say.”
His voice contorted with remorse, regret etched deeply into his features. “N-No… no please.”
He ran up to the gate and was about to unlock it when you snarled at his actions. His head snapped up to see your goldenrod irises and sharp canines ready to tear him to shreds.
“Get back,” you growled. He obeyed and took a step back while showing you what was in his hand.
“It’s Ari’s notebook. I read everything. You were right about everything.”
“I don’t care!” you shouted, banging your fist on the gate. “Nothing in that book matters anymore. You didn’t believe me…” Your body slumped to the ground, defeated.
“You didn’t believe me…” you repeated, softer and more broken than the first time. Jungkook dropped to his knees, holding onto the bars of the gate and resting his forehead against it in an attempt to be closer to you. He shut his eyes and fought back his tears.
“I know. I’m so sorry…” Your eyes were lifeless, devoid of love and joy. You were staring past him like he didn’t exist and that pained him the most.
“You didn’t trust me…”
“I made a terrible mistake. Please,” he pleaded, reaching his hand through the bar to grab yours. You yanked it away, still refusing to look at him.
“Maybe… you don’t love me the same way I love you.”
He shook his head furiously. “No. No. That is not true. Don’t say that.”
“The Jungkook I knew… he would’ve believed me. That means you’re being influenced by something,” Your eyes shifted to meet his, determined and angry. “Or someone.”
You clenched your fist around your blow gun and pointed it at your lover. He was mortified and begged you to stop, but it was too late. You shot it right into his neck, causing him to fall to the ground. You stood up, unlocked the gate, and threw him over your shoulder like he weighed nothing. As you carried him to where the cellar was, you saw your team in the distance heading down the steps.
The plan was almost done. Just one more step. One that you thought of on your own as soon as you heard about the truth weed.
*Hss*
First to fall was Professor Jin. Professor Min was pissed as expected.
So he was next.
*Hss*
Then Hoseok and Jiwoo.
*Hss*
*Hss*
You didn’t understand why the cellar door was propped open, so you removed the stone and stepped inside. Taehyung perked up upon seeing you, the pure joy on his face quite endearing.
“Hi Tae.”
*Hss*
Plan complete.
Tumblr media
In the present…
First to wake up was Jungkook, who felt something heavy around his wrists when he tried to move them. The clinking sounds alerted him of his confinement with two other prisoners.
“Sunghyun! Wake up!” he said, shaking the vampire next to him. Sunghyun groaned and slowly pushed himself up out of his position of laying on his stomach to sit crisscross.
“What’s going on?”
“Wake Taehyung up next to you.” The vampire obeyed and shook the werewolf by the shoulders. Taehyung opened one eye while ruffling his hair, immediately seeing the shackles and realizing his predicament.
“The fuck? Hey. Hey!” He shook the shackles violently, as if they would come off from the act alone. “What’s going on?!”
The noise woke up the others. In the cage next to theirs were Jimin, Yoongi, and Namjoon; Next cage had Jin with the Jung siblings; Last cage contained Ari, who for some reason was still unconscious . They all shared the same looks of betrayal and confusion until you cleared your throat loudly, standing in front of them all.
“Took you all long enough,” you sneered.
“What’s the meaning of this?” Professor Jin asked as he slowly stood up. His attempts at a spell to break out were futile and you let out a chuckle when his frustrated expressions gave him away.
“Magic dampening cuffs,” you informed him. “No one’s leaving.”
“Why are we here? I thought we were working together!” Yoongi exclaimed, sending you a glare that could kill.
“We were. But I don’t trust anyone anymore. And now that you’ve all been exposed to truth weed, I’m going to be asking the questions now.”
The look of shock spread across everyone’s faces was pure satisfaction. Now they’ll finally get a taste of what it’s like to be fooled.
“My first question: What is something you’re hiding from me that you’re guilty of?”
Truth be told, no one knew the full extent of the truth weed’s effects aside from it lasting half an hour. Good thing you had all the time in the world to figure it out, though you didn’t really know what to expect. Taehyung was the first to answer.
“I bite my nails even though you told me to stop.”
Everyone stared at him and he slapped his mouth shut with his hand.
“I’m afraid of microwaves,” Jungkook revealed. The attention diverted to him now, who cursed and turned his back towards you, face flushed. You’re gonna have to dig more into that later.
“I practice arguments in the shower,” Sunghyun said.
“I sleep naked,” Yoongi confessed.
“I hate mint chocolate ice cream,” Namjoon added. That caused a rise in some, surprisingly enough.
“I’ve seen Taehyung in his underwear. It was red,” Jimin informed.
“I can’t handle alcohol well,” Hoseok said while blushing.
“I’m the only 10 in this room,” Jin bragged. “You’re all 8’s.”
“I was going to give you 30% of my profits when I published my novel,” Sunghyun said. You raised an eyebrow at this because you deserve at least 80% for your troubles.
“Part of me still wants to kill you, but I’m trying to get over it,” Jiwoo said nonchalantly. The silence in the room was deafening and you shook your head quickly to snap out of your trance from these… discoveries. Maybe this wouldn’t be as easy as you thought.
“Okay, this is not what I was expecting,” you said, rubbing your chin in thought. “What is something you’ve done to hurt me physically or mentally?”
“I recorded our sessions,” Jin said, but you waved him off with your hand.
“I know that already.”
“I wrote about your life story because it was more interesting than my own,” Sunghyun replied.
“I know that already,” you repeated.
“I killed you,” Hoseok said, apologizing once more after.
“I know that already too…” you said through gritted teeth.
“I hurt you in our last battle,” Jiwoo said with a bright smile while looking up at the ceiling like she was reminiscing. “Got some good hits in before you, uh, put me in a coma.”
“This is ridiculous,” you muttered while facepalming yourself.
“I kissed Jungkook.”
In an instant, your eyes darted towards Jimin, who leaned casually against the wall with a devilish smirk, one foot casually propped up. He seemed to revel in the revelation, a silent observer of the unfolding drama. The weight of his gaze bore into you as you redirected your attention to Jungkook, whose big, round eyes betrayed his emotions.
Jungkook attempted to cover his mouth, a futile effort to suppress what came next, but his admission slipped through the cracks.
"And I felt something," he confessed, the words piercing through you like a dagger to the heart. "B-But not anymore!" The added assurance seemed almost laughable; the damage was done, irreversible.
Before you could process this devastating revelation, muffled sounds emanated from Yoongi. He, too, covered his mouth with both hands, going to extremes by biting the collar of his shirt in a desperate attempt to stifle his own words.
Namjoon and Jimin teamed up to pin one of Yoongi’s arms down by his side, coercing him to speak.
“I was the one who released Hoseok from his cage,” Yoongi finally admitted.
“Oh dear god…” you gasped, clutching your chest. Everything suddenly felt constrained, tight enough to explode. “Why…?”
“... Because I love him. I didn’t know he was going to hurt you. I promise.”
“I put a bug in your wolf plush,” Taehyung confessed without any remorse. You knew this fact to be true for a while now, but it still stung to hear him confirm it.
“I… I…” Namjoon kept uttering small sounds, but no words were formed. Then, without warning, he turned to face the wall, standing still for a moment before repeatedly smashing his head against the concrete. Blood quickly trickled down his face, and you shouted for him to stop.
Yoongi, in a desperate attempt to intervene, positioned himself between Namjoon and the wall.
“Namjoon! Don’t do this!” he pleaded, pushing him back in a desperate attempt to stop the violence.
Smash. Smash. Smash.
Jimin stood idly by, an eerie calmness in his demeanor as chaos erupted around him. Everyone was shouting over each other, quickly falling into a panicked state.
“Why is he doing this?! Stop it!!!” you cried, holding onto the sides of your head in distress.
A sinister grin played on Jimin's lips as he casually revealed his role in the unfolding mayhem.
“Because I compelled him,” he said, throwing his head back in a chilling cackle. He got off the wall he was leaning on to approach the bars of the cage closer to you. “Couldn’t have him spill the secrets too soon. Spoils the surprise.”
Wham. Wham. Wham.
“Make it stop! Make him stop!”
Namjoon’s entire face was covered in blood at this point. His nose broken, skull fractured, but he continued to mindlessly bang his head against the hard concrete like a robot devoid of pain.
“Alright, Namjoon. That’s enough,” Jimin ordered with a snap of his fingers. Namjoon ceased his actions right away and Yoongi’s quick reflexes caught his limp body.
“You bastard…” Yoongi said, seething with rage. Jimin seized Namjoon from Yoongi’s grasp and held the unconscious professor in a merciless headlock.
“I’m starving… dying takes a lot out of you.” His red-blood sclera and protruding veins sent shivers down Yoongi’s spine, prompting him to take a step back. He frantically patted down his body, realizing his lack of weaponry—you had removed everyone’s arms during your tranquilizing sweep. Jimin grinned devilishly, exhibiting his fangs for everyone to see. Everyone begged him to stop, but your voice resonated the loudest.
“Stop!!! Why are you doing this?!” you yelled. Jimin retracted his fangs and tilted his head at you in amusement.
“Because of you. And your mom. And Jungkook. You just had to be born and ruin everything. You shouldn’t even exist, you damn filthy hybrid.”
The ones who attacked us at mom’s school said the same thing.
“ You sent those supernaturals to attack us. To follow Jin, Hoseok, and Jiwoo to my mom’s school.”
He nodded, the joyful giggle he let out a stark contrast to his true nature. Your fists clenched in response.
“... You killed Hoseok’s parents. Didn’t you?”
“I mean, yeah, I ordered for them to be killed.”
“Ordered who?”
“Someone close to you. They’re actually blood-related to you, believe it or not.”
“Tell me their names.”
“The Supernatural Threat Response and Investigation Division of Enforcement.”
“Who, S.T.R.I.D.E? The fake as hell detective agency? Professor Min found that out pretty quick. What do you want?”
“For you to die. You’re the reason why my life has been hell. Your mother left me and then when I finally moved on, you just had to go after Jungkook.”
“You promised me she wouldn’t die. That wasn’t part of the deal!” Taehyung shouted.
“What deal?” you questioned.
“I bit Jimin to hide his stupid flower tattoo and he promised me he wouldn’t kill you.”
“You did what?!”
“Hey, I’m keeping my promise. Ari, darling…” Jimin said in a low voice. You glanced over to your best friend, who was still asleep on her cot. “Wake up.”
Her eyes snapped open, widening as if possessed. She rose abruptly, turning her head without moving her entire body like a creepy doll. Her lips curled into a bone-chilling grin.
“I didn’t say I was going to kill her,” Jimin quipped. You watched as she effortlessly tore through the magic-dampening cuffs, a black aura emanating from her body.
“[Y/N] RUN!” Jungkook and Taehyung urged.
“She’s been consumed by dark magic! That’s not Ari anymore!” Jin added.
You were already racing to the keypad, inputting the passcode at lightning speed. However, the door wouldn’t budge. A frustrated curse left your lips as you frantically tried again only to meet the same fate.
"The password changed!" Yoongi's voice rang out, a moment too late. Your finger had already pressed the enter key, and a surge of electricity coursed through your body at the failed third attempt. An agonizing scream escaped your lips as you crumpled to the ground, back arching in pain, fingers twitching involuntarily.
As you lay there, vulnerable and writhing, Jimin's menacing face appeared above you, a Cheshire grin etched on his lips. The infuriating expression only fueled your desire to see him pay. Ari, wearing a mask of faux pity, also looked down at you, and in your agony, you found yourself pleading with her for assistance.
“Ari… I don’t care about the dark magic… I know you’re strong enough to beat it. Don’t do this.”
“Aw, she thinks you still care about her,” Jimin teased with a pout. He swung an arm around her shoulder, laughter echoing in the tense air. “Sorry, but your bestie is loyal to me. Thanks for getting me out of the cage, love.”
“Anything for you,” Ari replied, her lips now a dark black.
Electricity was nothing. You’d heal in a few minutes; you just had to stall for time.
“Why are you loyal to him? He doesn’t love you. He loves Jungkook.”
A flicker of vulnerability crossed Ari's face, a brief shift from the facade of evil to a moment of crestfallen realization. It’s possible to get through to her, you knew it.
“Do you really want to live your life as second best to this motherfucker?” you asked, not breaking eye contact with her. “He’s using you. He’s never loved you at all. This is madness!”
Jimin huffed and stomped down on your abdominals, crushing your ribs with a loud crack.
“Did I say you could fucking speak?” he spat, voice laced with venom. You laid there groaning and holding your stomach, the pain radiating through your body.
Just then, the cellar door swung open, revealing two unfamiliar figures who peered down at you. They bore the appearance of an elderly couple in their sixties, their gray hair and modest attire suggesting a quiet, unassuming life. Yet, the scent of your mother's perfume wafted into your nostrils.
Coincidence? Couldn’t be. Everything has been carefully calculated since the beginning. Who were these people?
“What the hell are you doing?” the old woman asked Jimin, hands on her hips in disapproval. “She’s down. Let’s just kill her.”
“Yeah, or else this would’ve been all for nothing. Where’s the White Oak Stake?” the old man pressed.
“Calm down, gramps. My lady here has it stashed in a safe place,” Jimin said, gesturing with the nod of his head at Ari. The old man placed his hand out palm up, demanding for the item.
“Well? Give it here.” Ari rolled her eyes in response. “Hey. Haven’t you learned how to respect your elders?”
“And haven’t you ever heard of hand cream you wrinkled piece of—”
“Watch your mouth!”
The old woman put her hand on her husband’s shoulder before things could escalate. “Now, now. We’re a team. Give the vampire some credit. I mean, having him compel his own professor to deceive his parents and gain the key to the armory was genius. We owe him our thanks for the stake.”
“That’ll teach them to cut me off,” Jimin said and they all erupted in laughter.
He was cut off? The blood bags… he drank the Jungs’ blood and then tricked me into doing the same. Fuck him!
You may not have been operating at 100% capacity, but you weren’t sticking around to find out what these people’s intentions were. Slowly, your hand delved into your pocket, fingers searching for anything of use. A smooth surface met your touch, and you pulled it out with a mix of hope and desperation.
Sunghyun’s amulet. You looted it from Jungkook earlier when he was unconscious. The thought raced through your mind—could it siphon the hybrid magic out of you and save you?
Ari, ever watchful, caught wind of your furtive actions. Before she could unleash her formidable powers and reduce you to nothingness, you unleashed a blinding burst of energy. The brilliance of the white blast momentarily blinded everyone in the room, providing you with the cover you needed to slip away.
"She's gone!" cried the old woman.
"Go get her!" barked the old man. Jimin's eyes narrowed in determination as he harnessed his supernatural speed to track you down. In the same instant, Ari's eyes transformed into pools of pitch black, racing at lightning speed to pinpoint your elusive whereabouts.
The bitter night air greeted you as you burst into the open, the moon casting an ethereal glow on the snow-covered landscape. Your surroundings blurred as you stumbled forward, guided only by the instinct to put as much distance as possible between yourself and the conspirators who sought your demise.
The frozen lake loomed ahead, its icy surface reflecting the silent chaos that unfolded around you. Your breaths came in ragged gasps as you approached the edge, the lake standing as both a barrier and a potential escape route.
As you hesitated on the brink, unsure of your next move, Jimin caught up, his eyes ablaze with determination. Sensing the urgency, he lunged at you, aiming to thwart your escape. In the ensuing struggle, the amulet slipped from your grasp and landed on the frozen lake, its glow momentarily illuminating the icy surface.
Before you could react, he seized you by the shoulders, his grip like vices on your flesh. He forced you to the ground with a ruthless strength that left you breathless.
"You're pitiful," Jimin hissed, his voice dripping with contempt. "Your existence is an aberration, an insult to the natural order."
You struggled against his hold, your eyes narrowing with defiance. "You won't break me, Jimin. I won't let you."
Jimin's lips curled into a cruel smile as he pressed you harder against the cold ground. "You think your defiance matters? You're a mistake, an anomaly. The world would be better off without you."
He leaned in, his face inches from yours, his eyes drilling into yours with a toxic mixture of hatred and twisted desire. "Jungkook chose you because of a bond that's not even real. Once I end you, he'll see the truth. You're nothing, [Y/N].”
Your breath caught in her throat as she felt the weight of his words. Jimin continued his verbal assault, each word a venomous arrow aimed at your core. "You cling to the illusion of love, a love built on a lie. I'll free Jungkook from this illusion. Free him from the burden of your existence."
Before you could respond, the world shifted. The ground gave way beneath you two, and in a sudden, chaotic descent, y’all tumbled into the icy abyss of the frozen lake. The air turned to a piercing chill, and the echoes of Jimin's menacing words faded into the murky depths.
The amulet plunged into the suffocating embrace of the water as well, its dim glow your only hope. You made a desperate attempt to swim towards it, reaching out in the hope of grasping salvation, but Jimin moved with unnatural swiftness. Underwater, he seized your neck and snapped it with a cold finality. He abandoned your unconscious form, lost in the icy currents, desperately searching for the surface.
Jimin wouldn’t have survived if not for Ari. She lifted him from the ice, water dripping from his sputtering form. He flashed her a bright smile and triumphantly shouted, “I killed her!”
“Temporarily. She’ll come back,” Ari responded calmly.
“I know, but it still felt good. Thanks for pulling me up.” Jimin expected to be set down on solid ground, but Ari defied his expectation, keeping him suspended in the air. “You can put me down now.”
Ari's gaze, however, remained unwavering. “Was [Y/N] telling the truth?”
Jimin scoffed. “What truth—about Jungkook? Sweetheart, you knew this already.”
Ari persisted, her tone cutting through the icy air. “Not him. About you not loving me… at all.”
Jimin's confident facade wavered, but he quickly masked it with a dismissive smirk. “That's ridiculous.”
“Do you love me?” she pressed, her voice steady but demanding an answer.
Jimin winced, the truth serum coursing through his veins amplifying the pain of his conflicted emotions. He tried to evade her question, his words stumbling over the raw honesty he couldn't suppress. "Ari, it's not that simple. You know my priorities—"
Ari's frustration erupted in a surge of magical energy, causing Jimin to flinch. "Answer the damn question.”
Jimin's gaze faltered, and he swallowed hard, the weight of the truth serum pushing him to the brink of revelation. "Ari, I... I care for you.”
Ari's expression hardened, a mixture of disappointment and anger etched across her features. "Care for me? Did you ever love me?”
He no longer could suppress the truth. “Not in the way you want me to.”
Ari's features tightened as the reality of his confession settled in. The revelation was a bitter pill, the taste of betrayal lingering in the cold air between them. She took a step back, her gaze now devoid of the vulnerability she had revealed moments before. "I see..."
The magical bonds that had kept Jimin suspended in the air wavered. With a swift motion, Ari withdrew her support, letting Jimin plummet back into the icy lake from which he had been rescued moments ago.
*Splash!*
“Perhaps you need some time to rethink your answer. I hope as the water fills your lungs until you suffocate and die over and over again will help you come to your senses. Now…”
Ari extended her hand over the frozen lake, fingers tracing a glowing pattern in the air. Chanting softly, she summoned magical currents that shimmered across the icy surface. With a decisive motion, she pointed her fingers downward.
A radiant stream of magic flowed towards the submerged you. The water yielded to Ari's spell, parting to reveal your unconscious form. Her magic cradled you, forming a protective cocoon that shielded you from the freezing depths.
As you emerged from the water, Ari delicately guided you to the surface.
“It’s time for you to meet your grandparents, bestie.”

What are your fav fantasy fics???
Hi okay so I compiled a very long list of both new and pretty old fics on both Tumblr and ao3. Some of this I have reviewed, some I haven't, it's a really heavy mix of things. I will say the one thing really lacking were the Namjoon and Hoseok fics - they are much harder to find in the supernatural/fantasy genre so if literally anyone has recs please send them my way so I can read! These are in no particular order, I just slapped them on here like a lunatic
Also if u see anything on this linked wrong or info isn't right pls correct me!!

Dance of Time
Tumblr media
P R E V I E W
“A love like that was a serious illness, an illness from which you never entirely recover.” -Bukowski
Summary: You were finally back in the hometown you left right after graduation, researching the mysterious manor that laid outside of the town limits. Your family was acting weird, and the owner of the manor seemed to know more about you than he should. Everything changed when you entered the manor, and you weren’t sure your dance with time was going to last very long.
Pairing: Vampire BTS x Human Reincarnated Reader
Status: Coming Soon
Genre: soulmate au, reincarnation, yandere themes, possessive boys, angst, fluff,
Warnings: smut, violence, tempers, mentions of death, murder, some explicit descriptions of violence, blood,
Some warnings may be added to the beginning of individual chapters.
————————————————–
“Okay, so I do have some questions that I would like to ask, if that’s okay?” You speak for the first time since the tour began. The boys share another quick glance before Namjoon nods.
“Of course. What tour would this be if there were no questions to be asked.” His words had you calming down a bit.
“Okay. First question. Can you tell me why this manor was nicknamed the ‘Weeping Manor’?” You were still walking as you had your pen pressed to your paper, ready to write down whatever their answer was.
“I think you will actually find the answer within the last room.” Namjoon gestured to Jin who opened the door at the end of the north corridor.
The door opened into a large room, shelves filling the space as you looked towards the right, books with pages spilling out just calling your name as your mouth opened in awe.
Right in front of you was a large oak desk, the top of it covered in your books and articles, you could even see some pieces highlighted or underlined as you slowly walked closer.
You felt nervous, the entire atmosphere shifting from joyful and playful to dark and eerie. You turned behind you to question Namjoon or Jin but they were gone. The door now closed and the room’s only light coming from the slightly open shades on the window behind the desk.
Your eyes flittered across the space, looking for the two men who seemingly disappeared into thin air, wanting to leave and be done with the tour.  You didn’t like the feelings you were having, the cold air brushing across your skin coming from nowhere.
“Mr. Kim?” You called out, turning back around to the door only to have your eyes catch sight of a large family portrait.
It was a painting of the property, dating back to 1838 when the manor was originally built, even before the town had an official name and place on the map. Seven men resided in the front of the portrait, sitting and standing in a line just in front of the large pine tree that resided to the right of the men.
You moved forward to get a closer look at the portrait when the tiny description just below caught your eye.
“The Kim Coven. Ca. 1838.”
Coven? What did that even mean? Your confusion didn’t end there but grew into shock and something like horror when you finally looked up to the faces within the portrait.
The man standing within the middle of the painting was a spitting image of the man who gave you the tour. The same man who met you at the local diner and exchanged emails back and forth with you.
To his right, and to your even deeper horror, stood Seokjin, eyes almost staring at your shaking from beneath the paint.
You took a step back, your hand covering your mouth in fear as you tried to back away from the painting when you bumped into someone. A whimper leaving your lips as you tried to quiet your sobs.
“Please…please.” You began to beg, knowing you were done for.
“Oh, darling. Please don’t cry.” The man behind you coos, a hand moving up to move your hair away from your neck as a small kiss is pressed to your skin.
“You’re finally home.”

chapter 2
736 BC
August 12th. 6:13pm. Sunshine.
It’s been ninety-one years and twenty-six visits to Earth since your first cup of tea. Since then Seokjin has shown you could enjoy so many more earthly pleasures than you thought possible. He makes an effort to show you something new every time you visit, and humans, as it turns out, are so much more creative than angels give them credit for. You’re really starting to enjoy it here. Every time, you wish you could stay longer. And so you learned you could convince Turiel to add routine patrols on all your banishments - by all accounts you’re only ever visiting Earth on ‘Official Business’.
(‘Managed to convince’ isn’t really the right turn of phrase, more like you briefly floated the idea and Turiel near bit your hand off to add more to your workload.)
Of course the visits mean more reports in theory, but truth be told there aren’t that many banishments to keep on top of, and you spend far less time with the other banished angels than anyone else need know. That isn’t the case for Seokjin’s visits. No, you could spend an entire day in his company and feel like it’s been no time at all. For those reports alone, you need to twist the truth.
Your stomach growls and Seokjin tuts.
“If you didn’t wait thirteen years between visits,” he grumbles. “Your stomach wouldn’t be so loud.”
You open your mouth to say that the only reason you have any interest in Earth is because of Seokjin and his friends (though maybe by now they count as yours too, it’s something you’ll have to ask Taehyung) but the sour look on his face gives you pause.
(Ah yes. Taehyung. Your readers will probably be wondering why he’s still alive. Well, they all are. As it turns out the change from human to vampire was irreversible, and all Seokjin had been able to do was make it so they’re not quite as immortal as angels and demons are. In short - one could kill the three of them with a stake to the heart, if they should wish. When you found out Seokjin had omitted the truth (his words) about their lack of demise, that had been the biggest (and only) argument you’ve had in the centuries you’ve known him. Jimin had cried. It was very embarrassing.
Of course, you’d moved past it, because there was little to be done to change anything, and you actually rather like the company of the vampire trio. Yoongi is another anomaly, he should be dead too, and he kind of- he sort of is. Seokjin calls him a ghoul. But having met him, you can’t say he’s as evil as the handbooks make ghouls out to be. A grouch, definitely, but you can see why Seokjin likes to keep him around.
Anyway, the point of this opening was not Seokjin’s lie of omission. The point is Seokjin’s current disposition.)
“Why are you in such a mood?”
“I’m not in a mood,” Seokjin shoots back.
“You are,” you counter.
“Am not.”
“Are too.”
Seokjin flicks you on the forehead.
“Ow!”
“Please stop,” snaps Namjoon from the corner of the room. “Some of us are trying to study.”
You crane your neck to spy on the book he’s reading. Heraclitian Philosophy.
Seokjin notices you looking. “Namjoon fancies himself as one of the new age philosophers,” he whispers. “He won’t listen but I keep telling him they’re a bunch of miserable fu-”
“I can hear you,” says Namjoon, pointedly.
You and Seokjin share a private smile.
“We missed you,” he murmurs.
“Missed you too,” you say, cheerfully.
You dip a spoon into the pot Seokjin is standing over, and he chastises you for tasting too early (it’s not ready, so he says) but it’s so good that you can’t help yourself.
“Mmm,” you hum, appreciative. “My favourite.”
He’s strawberry red again.
“Where do strawberries grow?” you ask.
Seokjin laughs. “You always ask such weird questions.”
You bonk him on the head with your spoon.
“Answer please.”
“Dunno,” says Seokjin with a shrug. “I haven’t seen any here.”
“In Europe!” Namjoon calls over.
“Thank you!” you shout back.
“Why do you ask?” says Seokjin.
“I want to try one.”
He tilts his head, a curious puppy if you ever saw one.
“I invented them,” you answer his unasked question.
“You?”
You frown. “Yes, me.”
“You made food?”
“I made lots of things.”
“But you didn’t try anything?”
“Well why would I? I made lovely things in pretty colours just like they asked and sent them off to Agriculture.”
Seokjin smiles sardonically, saying, “such a good little angel, aren’t you?”
You beam even though it’s a non-compliment, and Seokjin rolls his eyes, but this time the look in his eye is one of affection.
“What else did you invent?” Seokjin asks, and off you go, listing all the things in your roster until you lose your breath.
After dinner, Namjoon goes out to meet the others for a dinner of their own, leaving you and Seokjin sitting in front of an open window, sipping tea and catching up on the happenings over the last decade.
Seokjin seems down. He leaves his tea to go cold and picks at loose threads on his tunic.
After a while, you ask, “Are you going to tell me what’s wrong?”
Your friend’s face falls into a dejected pout. “Time’s almost up,” he says with a heavy sigh. “Thirty years left and I’ve hardly been anywhere. Hardly seen a thing.”
Seokjin always claims he’s not sentimental, but you look at the home he’s built for himself, the friends he keeps, the trinkets that adorn the room, some four-hundred years old, and you deduce that there is little truth to that statement. What he isn’t is someone who tends to feel sorry for himself.
It’s unsettling, seeing him like this.
“It’ll be okay,” you tell him. “Once you’re back home you’ll have your miracles, and you can have all of this and more in Heaven.”
Seokjin rolls his bottom lip between his teeth.
“I’ll be there too,” you tack on.
His responding smile is a little pitiful, but a smile is a smile, and if that’s all he’s got, you’ll take it.

January 28th. 6:56pm. Snowing.
Taehyung says he’s invented a game. It’s called truth or dare, and the objective is to tell the truth when you’re asked a question, or do something at the other player's request. Despite asking on several occasions, there seems to be no clear rules on how to win.
“This isn’t a criticism of your creativity, Taehyung,” you say gently. “But it seems as if there’s no real point in playing if your point scoring system is flawed.”
Taehyung stares at you. Jimin hides a laugh behind his hand.
“How do we know when to end the game if there’s no objective winner?” you ask.
They ignore you, and Namjoon suggests it would be better to write down the dares and questions and draw them from different jars. For yours, you write down things like eat exactly 2/7ths of an apple and what time is it?
Jimin pours drinks, because apparently there’s also ‘forfeits’ in the form of ‘taking a shot’ if you can’t answer truthfully or complete a dare, but you can’t imagine why either thing would be such difficult tasks to complete.
“Why would I lie, though?” you ask again. “It’s my job to be divine.”
“You’ve lied for me on more than a hundred occasions,” Seokjin reminds you.
 “Nonsense,” you say, haughtily. “That was for the greater good.”
Jimin and Taehyung share a funny look.
Namjoon coughs. “Shall we just play?”
You grumble something about rules being made to be followed that the others pointedly ignore, and Yoongi is the first to draw from the dare pile, and Taehyung- who is reading over his shoulder- shrieks.
Run naked to the end of the street and back <3
Oh.
Yoongi turns as red as a ghoul can go (which is to say, not very) and says he’s glad he can turn invisible, and promptly disappears from view. The only suggestion that he even leaves the room is the door opening and closing.  Jimin says pointedly that he bets Yoongi is still in the room, but a minute later the door goes again, and Yoongi appears once more at the table, pink-cheeked and panting. Jimin scowls like a child and calls him a spoilsport.
The game continues in this vein until Namjoon gets your dare.
“Put on socks?” he says, confused.
“Yes!” You nod. “It’s very cold.”
Seokjin laughs. “You really are an angel.”
You beam at him.
Namjoon goes to find socks.
“Stop making googly eyes at each other,” says an exasperated Jimin. “I’m bored.”
Taehyung nudges the jars toward Seokjin. “Your turn.”
He makes a drawn out show of searching for the best one while not actually looking, claiming he can tell who wrote it by the way they folded the paper. He pulls out one he says was ‘obviously’ written by Yoongi, but by the gleeful look on Jimin’s face, you wonder if it was really him.
“Kiss your favourite person in the room,” reads Seokjin. He stares very hard at the paper. He’s not even blinking.
Taehyung and Jimin break the silence with a giggle. Namjoon is back, with more socks on, and his eyes dart between you and Seokjin. And now your eyes have turned into curious little fiends too, looking from Seokjin to the paper to Seokjin to the paper, to your hands, which are suddenly very interesting for no reason at all.
Seokjin looks at you for a long time. Seokjin turns red. And then Seokjin kisses Yoongi on the cheek.
“Forfeit!” yells Namjoon.
Tumblr media
723 BC
March 9th. 8:02pm. A little chilly, but not unpleasantly so.
Today, the cold weather has you craving kimchi jjigae, and Seokjin has only complained three-hundred times about it. He says he made a table full of food, he asks why you can’t wait until everyone else arrives, he says of course you’d want the one thing he hadn’t made. He makes it anyway, and mutters that none of his other friends are as demanding nor as needy, including Taehyung.
The reason for the sheer amount of food adorning the table is because today is Yoongi’s birthday, and Seokjin is throwing him a party. Even though he’s sort of dead… and doesn’t need to eat. (It’s both pointless and confusing.)
You sit in front of the fire, bowl of jjigae warming your belly, kicking your legs contentedly while you wait for the guests to arrive.
Seokjin is anxious. He adjusts the position of the furniture six times. He wipes over his ornaments twice. He sweeps the floor three times and shoots you a glare when you try to help by using a little miracle to evaporate every speck of dust in the entire house. Normally he appreciates the privilege your miracles bring, since he lost access to his own, not tonight apparently. At first you attribute his sour mood to the idea of people he hardly knows invading his space, because while Yoongi is the quietest being you’ve ever known, he’s somehow friends with everyone in a twenty-mile radius. But Seokjin has hosted before - it’s nothing unusual for him to play host for others and dissolve into the background once everyone starts enjoying themselves.
No. Something else is going on here.
“Do you want to talk about it?” you ask.
“Talk about what?” Seokjin mutters with a scowl, distracted by fussing over a china pot that’s apparently three millimetres out of place.
“Whatever it is that has you acting like you’re not enjoying my company.”
Seokjin looks up at you, expression unreadable. The silence hangs uncomfortably until it’s interrupted by a sharp knock on the door. It’s the first guests, bringing with them gifts of food and wine.
People filter in quickly after that. You don’t know many, but those you recognise offer a friendly hello or a polite bow in your direction. You tend to keep your distance from most people, at least those who don’t know your true identity as an Angel of the Lord, but you do enjoy their idle chatter. It’s ever so interesting, the matters that concern them, the small things that bring them joy in their (without any disrespect) insignificant lives. You’d tried engaging a human in conversation once, at a market Seokjin brought you to, but Taehyung had laughed and suggested you needed more practice interacting with people. After that you lost your confidence.
Perhaps tonight could be another opportunity, if Seokjin has enough wine to make his guests less suspicious.
You jump up, fetching bottles and cups from the other room and passing them around with a smile. The humans accept them gratefully. There’s nothing like alcohol to get people talking. Thirty minutes later the room is full, and loud, and everyone is on (at least) their third drink. With a wave of your hand, the guests' cups are refilled, and thankfully it’s only Seokjin that seems to notice. He waves you over from the other side.
“What are you doing?” he asks.
“Helping,” you say.
“We don’t need to get everyone drunk before he arrives.” He stares at the door.
“I don’t think Yoongi would mind,” you say. “Hasn’t he been half-drunk every time I’ve seen him?”
“Oh, not him,” Seokjin says absent-mindedly.
You frown.
“Who then?”
Just then, the door bursts open and a dishevelled Yoongi is carried through on the shoulders of Taehyung and Jimin, with a panicked Namjoon following closely behind - hands outstretched as if that would help Yoongi if he were to fall.
Everyone cheers. Someone pours them a drink. Seokjin continues to stare at the door.
Weird.
Tumblr media
After leaving Seokjin to his own devices you decide to work the room and quickly discover how right you were about the alcohol. It’s been forty-five minutes and you can’t escape a man who doesn’t seem to know whose birthday it is, but is very glad for the opportunity to talk about his herd of goats and all the trouble he’s having with one particular fox.
“I wouldn’t mind if it was a one off but it seems like the bastard has it out for me.”
“That’s terrible.” You commiserate, trying to look interested while scanning the room in search of an out. The few people you know well enough to call for help from are otherwise occupied. Taehyung is pouring wine into Jimin’s open mouth. Yoongi and Namjoon are sitting around the table deep in conversation with an elderly woman and her husband.
“-usually one a day,” he says, slurring his words. “Sometimes two!”
“Awful,” you agree.
Seokjin is standing by the door, face impassive, talking out of the corner of his mouth to a man who wasn’t here earlier. He’s impossibly tall, doesn’t look like anyone else in the room, all sallow skin and sunken eyes. Seokjin has a wrinkle in his nose suggesting there’s a bad smell nearby. You’d bet your immortal soul it’s the man next to him.
“-at this point it’d take a bloody miracle to save my herd-”
“A miracle,” you echo, hardly listening, too busy looking at how the man holds out his hand. The eager gleam in his hollow eyes. How Seokjin’s lips curl with distaste but he shakes his hand anyway.
“I’m fucked if it carries on,” your companion says, voice breaking.
 “Yeah,” you breathe. There’s a pit forming in your stomach. “Fucked.”
“Excuse me?”
“Yes, me too,” you say. “I’ve just got to- uh- go… Over there.” And you’re weaving through the people in the room to get to Seokjin and the stranger who has your hackles raised like no one else has had in centuries.
“Seokjin!” you say with false brightness, smile tight. “Who’s your friend?”
Seokjin turns to you, eyes wide and desperate.
“Not now,” he whispers. “Please.”
You stand firm, undeterred. “I’m Seokjin’s friend-”
And then the man turns his glare on you, and you see it. You smell it.
A demon.
You can hardly contain your gasp.
The demon grins. His teeth are unbrushed. “The angel says she’s your friend, Seokjin, and you haven’t told her what you’ve been doing? Who you’ve been talking to. Tut tut.”
Your gaze snaps to Seokjin who looks like he’s about to be sick.
“Told me what?”
“Not now,” Seokjin snaps.
You’ve never seen him like it, not once in three centuries. Face suddenly hard and unmoving. Not even during your fight about his friend's lack of mortality. The pit in your stomach grows. Something horrible is happening and you can’t figure it out.
“Go home,” he says, resigned. “We’ll talk later.”
“But it’s Yoongi’s birthday-” you start, but the hard line of Seokjin’s lips tell you your argument is pointless.
“He’s my friend, Angel,” he says, voice raising enough to attract a few looks from the people nearby. “Mine. Not yours. Go.”
Seokjin shouts. Shouts often, in fact. A drama queen if one ever existed. But Seokjin doesn’t shout at you. Not like that. One last wary glance between your friend and the demon at his shoulder, and you’re back at your desk wondering what in Heaven just happened.
Tumblr media
723 BC
March 10th. 6:42am. Cold. Uncomfortably so, but perhaps that’s just the vibe in the room.
Seokjin doesn’t notice you’re back. But then he is fast asleep in his chair, several empty bottles at his feet. There’s drool running down his chin.
“Wake up,” you say. The miracle helps him along with stirring. You’re impatient this morning. He blinks awake, and upon seeing you standing above him, he groans.
“M’too drunk for this righnow.”
“Then sober up.”
Seokjin scowls and slurs in an accusatory tone, “you took my miracles, remember? You’ll hav-to wait for me to do it the human way.” He’s very green. “Pass me a bucket won’t you, m’gonna be sick.”
You arch an eyebrow, thoroughly disgruntled, and he groans louder as the alcohol dissipates from his bloodstream.
Now sheepish, Seokjin straightens up awkwardly. He doesn’t look at you.
“I don’t care for the way you treated me last night,” you begin.
Seokjin nods.
“Yes. Sorry.”
“I also don’t care for your meeting with demons.”
Seokjin shifts awkwardly, rubs at his forehead, but the apology you expected is noticeably absent.
You suck in a breath. “Aren’t you going to explain?”
He nudges one of the bottles on the ground with his toe, watching it turn on its side, letting the silence hang heavy around you.
After a minute, you can’t bear it any longer. “Seok-”
“Can’t you see I’m miserable?” he cuts in.
You sigh. “Well, yes I had noticed.”
You know it’s been a long time since he’s been home, there’s bound to be some apprehension about returning. But you’ll be there too. You’ve got sway with the committee now that you’ve been “putting in the work” with the banished angels, you can put in a good word for him, get him into a position that gives him more freedom to visit Earth now and then. You explain all this, but Seokjin shakes his head, but apparently that wasn’t a good idea because he holds it in his hands and groans.
“Angel, you don’t get it,” he snaps. “Why would I want to go back? Back to that place where they only give a shit about one corner of the world-”
“That’s not true-” you interject.
“It is true,” Seokjin insists. “The past four-thousand years it’s been Jerusalem this, Jerusalem that. Bethlehem and Jordan and Egypt.”
“They’re great places!”
“Yes, but everywhere else is great too. What makes one place better than the rest? What was the point of making all of this beauty if the one book of any importance doesn’t talk about it? If it’s just going to be gone-” He snaps his fingers. “-in two thousand years. All anyone goes on about is Noah, and Abraham, and Joseph and his stupid fucking coat! What is the point of me? Of us?”
“It’s in the plan-”
“Oh- who cares about a coat? What could the plan possibly say about that?” Seokjin is standing now, red faced and pulling at his hair. “What about these people?” He’s raising his voice again. “These people here? The people on the other side of the world? Where are their stories? Why isn’t anyone writing about them?”
“They will!”
“When?”
You don’t know. You don’t know anything.
“When it’s significant!”
“Isn’t everyone significant? Isn’t that the point?”
Yes. Yes and no. They’re obviously significant to each other, but not necessarily in the grand scheme of things. Seokjin doesn’t like that answer. His frown deepens when you suggest his faith is being tested.
“That was the stupidest idea they could’ve come up with,” Seokjin rants. “the notion of testing and tempting. No one can live without breaking one of these ridiculous made up rules or else our souls be damned for eternity. What’s the point? Be miserable for your entire life or be miserable for eternity. Can’t anyone enjoy anything without worrying for their immortal soul?”
“I don’t like this conversation,” you say.
“Of course you don’t,” says Seokjin bluntly. “Makes you uncomfortable, does it? You know I have a point and you don’t like thinking badly of our Heavenly Mother.”
You frown. “I’m not thinking badly of Her. It’s just- I don’t know. I don’t like it when you make me question things. We’re made to obey.”
Seokjin scoffs. His eyes are so unusually cold. “I don’t want to obey.”
Your breath catches.
“What are you saying?”
Seokjin hesitates. There’s a moment where you think he won’t say it, but then - “I hate it up there, Angel,” he says, and your throat goes dry and tight and uncomfortable as you remember the way the demon’s tongue rolled around the word angel, how it’s so different from the way Seokjin addresses you. You recognise the demon now, know him for exactly who he is and what he did to your friend. Leviathan, Prince of the Seraphim, tempting mankind and angels alike into heresy.
“You can’t seriously want to join their side?”
Seokjin’s face goes tight. “Of course I don’t. I want to be on my own side.”
There’s a beat of silence.
You stare at one another.
“I’m not going back,” he says, brows knitting together.
“You have to.”
“Angel-” he says it gently, with a tenderness so at odds with the way he spoke only moments before. “I can’t. I won’t be a hypocrite.”
“No-” you shake your head, reaching out and taking his hands in yours. He stares at you, confused by your insistence and your tears threaten to spill over. “Seokjin you don’t understand- if you don’t go back, they’ll know, they’ll kill you for defecting-”
“They can’t-”
“They can,” you insist. “Holy fire.”
Seokjin pales.
“You haven’t got your miracles. You can’t survive it.”
He drops your hands. Sinks into the chair behind him and stares blankly at the wall.
“Come back when you’re called, Seokjin,” you say, resolute. “For my sake.”
His eyes flit to meet yours.
“Yeah. Yeah, okay.”
“It won’t be as bad as you think,” you say desperately, but you don’t know who you’re trying to convince at this point. It might be your home but Seokjin has never liked the way it’s run. But he’ll be safe, and that’s what matters. “I’ll help you.”
Seokjin smiles weakly. “Alright, Angel.”
“Another thing I don’t care for is the way you’re calling me Angel.”
“Why?”
You reach out, pick a loose thread from the shoulder of his tunic. “It implies we’re too different.”
“Aren’t we different?” he says.
He’s not looking at you. Instead his absent gaze is turned into the empty fireplace, staring at the ash left over from the night before.
“Not in that sense.”
Seokjin’s lips twist in a way that silently says not yet.

Fic Library: Member x Member
I love mem x mem fics because the characterisations have more depth and aren't the neutral shell that reader-inserts have to be. Some of the saddest, most beautiful stories I've read have been mem x mem, and here's the best of them.
Verified Amateurs by beebalm on AO3 is a story of pining, longing and love set in an AU where Namjoon and Yoongi are roommates who decided to make money through camming.
Out of the dead land by sharpa on AO3 is a stunning, beautifully sad zombie apocalypse story with Seokjin, Yoongi and Jungkook.
A breach of protocol by Anna(pineconepickers) on AO3 features actor Seokjin and Namjoon as the 'hottest bodyguard in all of Korea'. Make of that what you will. I adore this.
Every atom in between by 55cancrie on AO3 is a sci-fi space AU featuring scrappy alien hunter Yoongi and privileged Seokjin and is such a good read. Yoongi's written so well here, and I love the whole vibe of the story.
Precisely when someone shows you to the ocean by sinkingmyships on AO3 features marine biologist Yoongi and mermaid Seokjin and is an absolute treat to read.
Starhunter: I'll search the stars for you by starchase on AO3 is a very lovely story with starhunter Jungkook and human Hoseok.
As the shadows grow by spudcity on AO3 is a stunning fantasy story featuring Yoongi and Jungkook, and various other members of Bangtan. The world building is amazing, the writing is top and it's one of the first stories I bookmarked on AO3.
Walkie Talkie Men by @minisugakoobies features Jungkook and Seokjin in a filthy, funny treat of a read.
Pretty Things by @hesperantha has a deliciously needy Jungkook and a scorching hot Seokjin.
She, by proxy by @ugh-yoongi features Yoongi, Taehyung and reader in a gorgeously written story written with a beautifully balanced subtlety and excellent smut. Read this, you won't regret it.
Everything we do not speak (but scream) by @vyduan is a stunning story with characters that you root for and a perfect, perfect ending.
The Departure (Chapter 1) - recordare by @sugalaritae features Jungkook and Yoongi and is very beautiful indeed.
Baby by @theharrowing features sex worker Jimin and cop Jungkook and the beautifully written longing in this is the very reason why I love reading mem x mem.
Fang F*cker by @sailoryooons features irresistibly ridiculous vampire wannabe Jungkook and world-weary, fed-up, actual vampire Yoongi and is crack perfection.

Happy Halloween, Loves!
Because this is my favorite holiday of all time, I've created this list for everyone wanting to read some Halloween related fics for today. They may not all include the holiday itself, but they at least have the elements we love so much about the holiday!
Supernatural!au, Horror!au, etc.
Give all the authors your praise for their stories. I included a few of my own, but besides the fic’s I claim as mine then none of these fics are mine. Make sure to check out the warnings before you read the fics!
You may have seen some of these fics recommended on my other lists, but it’s only because they’re related to this rec list AND because the read was so good for me I wanted to recommend them again! I hope you all enjoy the fics as much as I did, and have a happy Halloween!

Title: Lady Of The Night 👊🗒
Summary: Jack the ripper and horror!au.

What were the chances that a journalist would slip through the cracks in time and stumble into the East End of 1891? The only conclusion you could draw was that you were meant to identify who the ripper was. You knew nothing about time travel regardless of the pop culture you had consumed. For all you knew, changing the events of the past would not create a ripple effect but instead a branch. And, as horrifying as this scenario was, your curiosity was going to get the better of you. ↳ “They said having a relationship with a human wasn’t a good idea, but Jimin liked you too much to ever let that get in the way. -
Title: Blue Boy 💦🐑👊📝
Summary: 45 parts + epilogue. Also JK x Reader (but as ex’s and there’s no theme of them getting back together). One of my favorite reads of all time! College, and yandere!au. Please read the warnings before reading. It gets dark. The author is also making a second series for this, so lots to come!

Title: Pi Gasu 💦👊📝
Summary: Vampire!Jungkook x Human!Reader. 8 parts + prologue. Completed series???? I started on pt.6 by accident, so I can tell it’s a slow burn. This story made me tear up, and I don’t know why. -
Title: Virgin Sacrifice 💦👊🗒
Summary: By me. Demon!Jungkook x Human!reader.
↳ “Since the day you were born, your parents prepared you for your sacrifice. The whole village knew, and with that everyone stayed away from you. Thinking even just looking at you would make the demon in waiting mad. The demon that has been praying on you since birth, but not for what you expected.”
-
Title: The Wolf Within You 💦🐑🗒
Summary: By me. Omega wolf!Jungkook x Alpha wolf!Reader. Also arranged marriage!au and dom/sub dynamics.

But once you saw the little omega shy away from you, holding onto his sleeves for dear life, you knew your marriage was going to be anything but boring.”

Another one!!! ‘Pizza?! Oh, Yeah!’
(I asked my coworker to say anything lol)
Chell, thank you! I had a lot of fun writing this one <3
Pizza?! Oh, Yeah!
pairing: vampire!Seokjin x f. reader
warnings: mention of blood drinking, making out
Tumblr media
Seokjin was used to the attention his beauty gathered. It was great for business, and despite his best efforts to announce your marriage, you remained his business partner in public.
You had several restaurants around the world but the one you were at now was your favorite. You were booked out six months in advance, some years in advance.
However, your home location was the one that drew lines around the block. Your competitors loathed you. You had to buy the whole block just to have seating for all the customers who came by.
Tonight, you were doing a small trial. Seokjin was at the front of the store, making pizza for those who had shown up. You were at his side, making your own pizza for those who had reservations.
Seokjin had talent coming out of his pores. He never broke a sweat as he kneaded the dough, crushed the tomatoes, and grated the cheese. All fresh ingredients are gathered locally, some grown in your own backyard.
Of course, Seokjin’s super human speed helped crank out more pizzas but it didn’t take away from the great taste.
The both of you poured your heart and souls into this restaurant, and seeing it flourish was a dream come true.
Seokjin was also testing out a new sauce. A sauce specifically for vampires only. Though Seokjin preferred to drink from your neck, he could also consume food if he pleased. He just metabolized it a lot faster than a human could.
Sanguine Sauce, he called the pizza. He’d had a chuckle over it when he pitched it to the marketing team and with a dazzling smile that showed the tip of his razor-like fangs, they were all on board.
Thirty minutes later, Seokjin asks you to meet him in his office. The customers are being taken care of and he’s made more than enough pizzas to last while he’s on his break.
The moment you step into his office, he locks the door before he presses you against it. You moan when his lips meet yours and your hands grip his broad shoulders as he deepens the kiss. His fangs bit your bottom lip, drawing droplets of blood to the surface.
“Fuck,” Seokjin curses as his eyes roll back and he savors you on his tongue. “I can never get enough.”
You smile, tilting your head to the side as he groans when his fangs sink into your skin. His name rolls off your tongue sweetly as your eyes flutter shut and you melt beneath him.
Seokjin moans as he takes his fill, cursing with every suckle as you press your hips against his.
When your breathing changes, Seokjin pulls off you, licking the puncture marks closed as he licks his lips after. He cups your face, pressing his forehead to yours as he breathes as heavily as you.
“I love you,” he whispers before he kisses you one more time.
