Eve was free. With music from a wedding blasting in the background, she was finally staring at her , the love of her life, her future, her Villanelle.
They had done it. Well, Villanelle insists it was all her, but both of them knew that they needed each other to finish the job. And they still need each other. Villanelle heads out of the hallway and towards the patio outside of the boat. Eve stops her and grabs her arm to pull her back.

what do you think rio meant when he said he'll take care of it? also any theories on what beth (or rio or ruby or annie) will do to dean lmao??
I think for Rio he’s starting to understand Beth’s limits. Also, I think they’re both defining their roles and what it means to be in a partnership. Beth’s job is to make a good front for them to was their cash. She’s the pretty face, the one that makes you trust her, the one that has a small business she runs with her cheesy commercials.
Rio, on the other hand, is all muscle. He deals with the drug dealers, with the bad guys. He’s the one who deals with the underbelly of what they do.
In that moment, Rio was more suited to the task of hunting those guys down and getting the money back than Beth was.
Beth keeps the front going and moving the cars while Rio deals with any issues that may arise during that time.
I don’t know who’s going to do what to Dean, but he needs his comeuppance. It has been a long time coming, and he gets away with everything. I don’t know if ‘gets away’ is the right term, but there haven’t been very many consequences to his actions, even from season 1. Of course he was shot, but that was more of a power-play by Rio for Beth than strictly about Dean himself.
I just want Beth to look Dean in the eye and call him out for what he has done. And Dean is freaking out about Rio and the life Beth is leading, but he’s the reason she’s there. If he hadn’t been blowing their money on underwear for his mistress and dumping money into his crap business he doesn’t know how to run, Beth wouldn’t be having meetings with a gangbanger in her backyard at all hours of the day and night. But Dean’s one of those people who are never wrong and will only say they’re wrong to gain sympathy from someone.
If I was Beth, I’d be absolutely furious that he lost all the money, AGAIN. I just want her to have her kids back because that’s all she really cares about.

the awful thing was, she would do it again by itsmcs: short look into Eve's thought process during the Raymond scene at the end of season 2.
Can I Lay By Your Side? by wasiandonuts: a nice hurt/ comfort to soothe all wounds. speaking of wounds, Eve gets hurt and V flips her shit a little bit. lots of angst on V's side, and a sweet ending.
you were a good feeling by Moonandback: V is in pain, Eve comforts her, revelations are had.
when i'm free, i just suffer by bluetutu: this is a shameless self-promo for a hurt/comfort fic I wrote. it takes place after season 3 - V is really not vibing, and she and Eve have to redefine their relationship. it's sad but also romantic and I'm very proud of it.
not smut but sexually charged
touching across the room (like lovers from the moon) by digitizedturtle: V performs at a drag show in Berlin, and there is a ridiculous amount of sexual tension. excellent atmosphere and interesting conversations between Eve and V.

Cause I got issues (but you got ‘em too) by Marenke: this happens after s2 and it is a little angsty but mostly cute. Eve and V go to Alaska and have a life together, and Eve gets dogs.

aka “After months together on the run after the bridge, Villanelle and Eve get into trouble with the Twelve. Eve gets hurt and Villanelle looks after her in the hospital, grappling with much pain, angst and love.

White-hot pain blooms all throughout Eve’s midsection. She doesn’t remember what totally happened because everything fell one after another so quickly; her mind still needs to catch up to her physical state. Which is currently very grave.
Then she feels a hand.
A soft, tender hand, pressing at her side. Eve almost laughs but groans instead as her inhalation causes a deep shock of pain to erupt. There is a laughable irony in this situation. Eve just can’t quite put her finger one it, maybe it’s because she is losing a lot of blood at the moment.
“Eve! Eve. Focus on me. Stay with me.”
Is that...Villanelle? Ah yes, the irony. Eve closes her eyes for a moment to try and remember that last time they were in the same conundrum. It was in Paris. Yes. Paris. Villanelle’s apartment. Eve was in her turtl--

“Eve, you are scaring me. Why did you spam my phone with one hundred text messages screaming urgent in all caps?”
“Because this is urgent.”
After the brunch, Eve quickly spoke to Elena about a plan then rushed out of the cafe and took an Uber to Villanelle’s building, relieved that she had a break in her schedule to talk. Running to the elevator and down the hall, she practically took the door down, knocking on Villanelle’s chic apartment entrance.
“Is it sexy time? Is that why you are out of breath to see me? A simple I miss you could have done the trick.”
“No idiot. Well, I do miss you but that is not why I am here.”
“Uh oh. Serious Eve has arrived. Are you going to school me on my questionable economic policies and tax incentives? That sounds pretty sexy.”
“No. Focus please. This is bad.”

Rolling her eyes, Villanelle petulantly stomps back to the car. She lazily opens the car door and slumps back into the passenger seat. Eve narrows her eyes at the blonde, shaking her head in disappointment.
“Aren’t you forgetting something?”
“Nope. The only mask I will put on my face is my moisturizing snail mucus one. I had dry skin for a week after wearing that disgusting N95 mask.”
“Villanelle...Don’t be a dick.”
Eve waggles her finger at a pouting assassin next to her and throws a new face mask at Villanelle.
“But whyyyyy Eve? The blue part of the mask doesn’t even match my outfit. Cerulean does NOT go with this vermillion shirt!”
“And the virus does not care about your fashion choices. Mask on. Now.”

Win, Lose or Draw - Chapter 8: The Dinner🥵💋
aka “uh oh! what happens after the kiss? will they? or wont they?”

Eve jerks out of bed, groggy and aching. It is currently pitch black outside her window, with the occasional car light or hollering drunkard. She reaches for her phone on the side table but comes in contact with a bottle of pills and a bottle of water instead. Trying to sit up and see where her phone lies, Eve feels something is off. She never goes to sleep with socks or a sweatshirt nor does she have anything on her side table except reading glasses and her phone.
Reaching over the mysterious bottles, Eve taps her phone open and the blinding light of the phone screen makes her wince. Shit, I feel like garbage. Oh and it’s fucking 4am. Slamming her phone face down, she calls out Elena’s name then remembers that Elena has been staying with Kenny, so she is all alone in her vast hotel room. But she feels like there was someone else here because even sober Eve wouldn’t take care of herself that well with Advil and water.
Not being able to go to sleep, she pops two pills in her mouth and downs it with a big gulp of the cold water. What happened last night? Eve ponders on the memory remnants floating around in her mind space and tries to put the puzzle pieces together. Okay, it was the debate. It apparently didn’t go too well because Eve realizes she drank her angry cocktail of wine AND gin. Yep, that’s not a good sign.
