I really love "I think you should leave" because like ... the punchline is almost never the weird awkward guy who is creating tension by failing to read the room. The punchline is always the way "normal" people respond to that guy, in completely unexpected ways. It's a delight.

So I've started watching Spy X Family. I like it a lot so far. It's a very charming show with fun characters. I also think it's really neat that Spy X Family is kind of a character study with Loid and Yor, two people accustomed to working in the shadows away from everyday life, learning how to adjust to both civilian life and a sense of normalcy they aren't used to.
Also, Anya is great. I love the way she plays off of Loid and Yor. The character dynamics are fantastic.

What I'm Watching!
Living in a modern world, you'll typically find that with traditionalism, you have to start by meeting people where they are. People aren't burying their noses in books or getting their hands dirty in a garden as much as they used to back in the day.
Because of this, women like me have to take advantage of what we have easily accessible in front of us, like Tumblr, Instagram, YouTube, etc. I think sharing where we find our resources is important to sort of share the wealth, what is helping me on my traditionalism journey might help you too!
So here is a list of everything I'm watching and reading that might help you out and why I love them! ❤️
YouTube
Mrs. MidWest - at this point I think everyone knows Caitlin and her channel but if you don't, she gives such amazing insight on what it means to be a feminine woman, not just outwardly but inwardly as well. Some of her content includes DITL videos with her and her two adorable sons, beauty tips from skincare to haircare, ways to make your habits (voice, vocabulary, posture, the way you walk seem) more feminine, and how to be a happy homemaker.
Cynthia Lowen - for all the exact same reasons why I love Mrs. MidWest, I also love Cynthia!
Bindi Marc - she has such wonderful content on her spiritual journey and journey to femininity and talks primarily about how to be a better homemaker, how to strengthen your relationship with your husband, and modest fashion lookbooks
Because It Matters, Living the Life You Love, Alexanrda Better, and the Pendry Family for house cleaning, organization and home decor tips and tricks
Orthodox Ethos with Fr. Peter Heers - some of the best Orthodox theology videos on the internet, Fr. Peter gives such amazing insight on so many different theological topics and how to be an Orthodox Christian every day of your life!
Books
The Orthodox Way - Metropolitan Kallistos Ware, a deeper dive into the doctrine and worship of the Orthodox Church
The Pilgrim Continues His Way (the sequel to The Way of a Pilgrim) - anonymous Russian spiritual pilgrim in the 1700-1800s, a journey on what it means to "pray without ceasing"
2 sets of Orthodox information printed by OCA at St. Tikhon's Monastery, one on Doctrine and the other on Worship
You Are Not Enough (and that's ok) - Allie Beth Stuckey, dismantling toxic self-love culture in women

hey after kristoph gavin planted atroquinine in a kid's favorite nailpolish, while he was spending seven long agonizing years waiting for the kid to actually poison herself, how badly do you think he pissed his dumb little blue pants when 6 years in his brother presumably out of nowhere published a song titled "atroquinine my love" and made the whole world sing it for a little while

Being aroace is so cool, but so, so hard sometimes. Watching all the persons you hold dear finding *their* person. Grieving the idea of an allo relationship. Realizing that, maybe, somehow, you're the second choice fo everyone. Because friends are great, but **lovers** are the goal in our society.
Most of the time, i am sooo happy to be aroace. And then, when im alone in bed, at 3 am, i find myself crying by fear of being alone.
And I think it's normal. It's grieving a certain way of thinking. And it's hard, especially when you were raised this way, and that everyone keeps doubting your identity.
So yeah. Shout-out to all the aroace people, wanting a deeper connection, without wanting romantic love.
I love y'all

hey btw if you're in the USA at 2:20 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Oct. 4, they're testing the emergency broadcast system. your phone is probably going to make a really loud noise, even if it's on silent. there's a backup date on the 11th if they need to postpone it.
if you're not in a safe situation and have an extra phone, you should turn that phone completely off beforehand.
additionally, if you're like me, and are easily startled; i recommend treating it like a party. have a countdown or something. be surrounded by your loved ones. take the actions you personally need to take to make yourself safe.
i have already seen mockery towards any person who feels nervous about this. for the record, it completely, completely valid to have "emergency broadcast sounds" be an anxiety trigger. do not let other people make fun of you for that. emergency sounds are legitimately engineered to make us take action; those of us with high levels of anxiety and/or neurodivergence are already pre-disposed to have a Bad Time. sometimes it is best to acknowledge that the situation will be triggering for some, and to prepare for that; rather than just saying "well that's stupid, it's just a test."
"loud scary sound time" isn't like, my favorite thing, but we can at least try to prevent some additional anxiety by preparing for it. maybe get yourself a cake? noise cancelling headphones? the new hozier album? whatever helps. love u, hope you're okay. we are gonna ride it out together.
