James: Okay, you guys, there’s Reg. Watch. Just watch this
Regulus: *walking past*
James: See? Still pretending he’s not interested. Oh! He’s coming over. Just pretend like we don’t know him. We’ve forgotten who he is!
Regulus: Hey guys!
Remus: Hey Regulus!
Peter: Hello!
James: …
Sirius: Hey, Reggie. You know Prongs, my best friend? He’s nice. He’s not bad to look at, right?
James: Thanks, Pads
Regulus: Well, of course
Sirius: Do you want to go out on a date with him? You got my blessing!
James: Sirius!
Regulus: Sure. Is Sunday okay?
Sirius: Sunday’s perfect. He can’t wait
Regulus: On the date, I will be able to talk to him directly, right?
Sirius: Yeah
Regulus: All right, see you Sunday, Potter *leaves*
James: Okay. What the hell was that? You know what? Don’t answer me
James, giggling: I have a date with Reggie!

HBP AU where Tonks really is grieving her cousin and it’s not until Molly keeps bringing Remus up to her, having horrifically misread the entire situation, that Tonks learns that Molly thinks she has feelings for Remus and she’s moping over this. Molly brought this up in the hospital wing as in canon, so now this is supremely awkward for everyone. Tonks assures Remus that she doesn’t have romantic feelings for him and in a rather awkward way, she tries to assure him that she likes him, she does, it’s just strictly platonic because she worries he’ll take it to mean she doesn’t like him at all and tolerates him out of necessity, and she doesn’t want him to think that but she’s clumsy about it. Socially awkward Tonks for the win and yes this is partially me projecting, what about it? It’s both sweet and excruciatingly painful to witness, the kind of secondhand embarrassment you must leave the room as a result of. So now everyone else has to witness this and Remus finally tells Tonks that she can stop rambling any second now—Tonks says “oh thank fuck” with the kind of relief every student is well aware of, when the teacher postpones that major exam you didn’t study for by another couple days—and both Remus and Tonks ask Molly why she thought Tonks was romantically interested in him and presumably thought this was reciprocal given that she seemed to be trying to convince Remus to date her. Molly stumbles over an answer, which I am not sure of so it is up to your imagination. Tonks scrunches her nose up and says she has known this man since she was a child, as Andromeda would visit Sirius in Hogsmeade sometimes since she couldn’t see him at home (this is all an AU in which the cousins are close and thus, Andromeda actually knew her cousin and didn’t think he was the traitor because I’m not so sure that they actually interacted post-Andromeda’s disownment when Sirius was a kid). Remus says “you know I was dating Sirius right?” Molly did not know that, but everyone else did. Tonks reveal that she’s in a polyamorous relationship with Bill and Fleur (I think they’re all close in age, if not just pretend they are bc the timeline’s a mess anyways). Fleur does not like Molly anyways, but trying to match make Fleur’s girlfriend did not help Fleur’s opinion. Bill is also none too pleased, especially since he was just attacked and he will be having words with his mother about her timing later.
Okay wait this all happening right in front of Bill while he's recovering from a horrific attack are actually hilarious. I mean, it was hilarious already, Molly trying to matchmake Remus and Tonks while her son was grievously injured is a huge show of mistaken priorities, but the fact that he's dating Tonks....wow, Molly. Read the room.

Day 16 - Prompt: Adore @pandalilymicrofics
February Daily Series - 799 words
<<<Previous Part OR Start Here
Lily was still reeling from Pandora’s disconcerting ability to switch to flirtatious after she’d looked so concerned, angry, or annoyed. It was startling to see her wide, innocent eyes become lidded and dark as her pupils blew wide with little provocation. She caught herself staring far more often than was polite.
When combined with Pandora’s visceral reaction to her fall, Lily couldn’t deny that there was something about her that felt almost…addictive. She wanted to stand closer to her even after she’d assessed that the logical choice would be to move away. They weren’t actually connected by an invisible string, after all.
Unfortunately, the desire to know everything about this woman overshadowed her distaste at her best friend — and his new cohorts — blatant attempts at matchmaking. Despite the reminder that this was all a set-up, Taylor Swift lyrics continued to tease the back of her mind. Lily was fascinated by her.
“So, Lily,” Sirius said, sidling up beside her with a sly grin. “Having fun?”
“The music hasn’t even started yet.”
“Yeah, but the festival is fun. Right?”
Lily folded her arms over waist and shrugged. “It’s alright. The festival hardly changes from year to year.”
He bobbed his head side to side with a noncommittal hum. This little performance was clearly well-rehearsed. Sirius’s nonchalance was anything but casual.
“What’s your favourite part so far?” he asked.
“The tent for the fudge shop.”
Remus perked up at the mention of chocolate. “Fudge shop? How did I miss that?”
“It’s on the other side of—” James started to explain, having just returned to drape himself over his boyfriend’s shoulders after greeting the DJ.
“Focus, James,” Sirius said under his breath, waving him away. He turned back around with a bright smile. “I adore a little drama myself, so the tarot card reader was my favourite. She was brilliant!”
Pandora jerked forward and grabbed Sirius’s arm. “Tarot? Where? Do I have time to find her before the dancing starts?”
“Hmm? Oh, I think so. She’s right there.”
Lily followed the path of his outstretched hand toward a small stall on the other side of the bandstand. It was covered with beautiful tapestries decorated with bold colours and tassels that parted in the centre to create a doorway. The hand-lettered wooden sign read, “Madame Trelawney, Psychic and Seer.”
“Oh! I have to speak with her,” Pandora insisted, striding forward purposefully while her skirt whipped around her ankles.
“Wait, wait!” Regulus called after her. He flailed within James’s unyielding hold. “I have to go with her or she’ll waste all of her money!”
“She’s an adult, love. It’s her money to waste.”
In the end, it was Regulus’s frustrated huff that won her over. Anyone who paid the slightest bit of attention to the pair could see that he and Pandora were close. In fact, Pandora seemed to value Regulus’s friendship over her brother’s, which Lily understood perfectly.
“I’ll go with her, Regulus,” she assured him.
Relief washed over his face. “Thank you.”
Lily lightly jogged after the eager blonde. “Pandora! I’m coming too.”
She was frowning when she spun around, but as soon as their eyes met, a slow, soft smile replaced it. Her steps hesitated long enough for Lily to catch up. Thankfully, she hadn’t bolted like last time.
“You want to hear about your future too?”
Absolutely not.
“Sure,” Lily said, flipping her plait over her shoulder. “Maybe she’ll see if I end up moving to London after all.”
Pandora’s smile bloomed beautifully. “Oh, yes! You must ask her about London.”
It was unlikely that “Madame Trelawny” could see the future or tell her anything useful about her life, but Lily knew better than to say that aloud. Perhaps she would try to keep an open mind. If only to show Pandora that she really didn’t mean to offend her beliefs.
“What are you going to ask her?”
“I always ask psychics the same three types of questions. The first is about my past and establishes their credibility. I’m not as naive as Regulus thinks. I know a charleton when I see one.”
Lily nodded, but didn’t interrupt. She hadn’t expected Pandora to acknowledge the possibility of a fake, let alone to have a method for exposing one. The more she learned about her, the more interesting she became.
“The second question corroborates the last reading I had with my personal psychic — who I trust implicitly — and the third is open to speculation. I think it’s interesting to see how each psychic interprets the signs or signals they receive,” Pandora explained.
“So, if two psychics saw the same thing, they might still interpret it differently?”
Pandora nodded, then pointed at Lily. “Exactly. Just like when two scientists review the same information and reach opposing conclusions.”
“Huh. Alright, consider me intrigued.”

An upcoming scene, event, or detail in each fic that you're looking forward to writing
Bonus: make a poll for your followers to vote on which top 5 WIP they are most excited to see an update on!
Then tag 10 writer friends!
Thanks for the tags @blitheringmcgonagall, @theresthesnitch and @squintclover 💛💛💛
I don't have any posted WIPs right now but I do have a few that I'm lowkey working on so let's go. Also I'm not putting my Wolfstar Big Bang on the list since that is a secret and I can't talk about it anyway.
Married at First Sight – Wolfstar Muggle AU where Sirius and Remus join the reality show Married at First Sight where they marry a stranger. Drama ensues.
Untitled Recipe Fest Fic – Wolfstar lie low at Lupin's. My entry for @hprecipe-recfest which I hope to finish this weekend.
Teddy matchmaker – Wolfstar. University student Teddy tries to set up his dad with the bloke who owns the coffee shop where he works.
Untitled Barty – My Barty Crouch Jr character study fic surrounding him taking the mark.
Titantic AU – Wolfstar & Jegulus Titanic silliness that I have no idea if it'll ever actually be written.
Things I'm looking forward to writing
MAFS: The next chapter I'm writing is Intimacy week and let's just say that's going to be a journey.
Recipe Fest: The typical LLL angsty fest, I'm a sucker for lie low at Lupin's.
Teddy matchmaker: First date awkwardness
Barty: Dark Mark magic!
Titantic AU: Er... actually starting it?
I'm not going to tag 10 people because I'm sure loads of you have already done this already (I've seen some) but consider this an open tag if you want to do it! I will, however, offer a no-pressure tag to @heartofspells, @silently--here, @gloivy, @venom0usbarbie and @sniperjade.

Okay, I needed a little fun in my Monday and honestly, in my life. So when this little nugget came to me after looking at the @wolfstarmicrofic prompt for today. I decided I had to go for it. Hope it brings a little smile to anyone who needs it. It’s takes place sometime after Don’t Call Me Sir, which is a little drabble AU I did where Remus is a prince and Sirius is his security guard. Also, I’m way too proud of this title.
Spill the Tea
“I have bigger priorities than dating right now mother,” Remus hissed, exhausted of being trapped in this same conversation with her over and over again. He was already turning on his heel to storm out of her sitting room.
“Oh really?” she said, raising an eyebrow at him and sharing a knowing smirk with her advisor. “Is that why you’re shagging your bodyguard?”
Remus froze halfway to the door, making a slow, calculated turn back to his mother. His brain stuck on the fact that his mother, the queen, had just used the word shagging in a sentence and unable to process anything else.
“This is my castle, dear. Bold of you to assume anything goes on within its walls that I don’t know about. Although, I thought I’d taught you well enough to know that dragging anyone into a storage closet is bound to start some salacious rumours.”
Remus’s ears turned pink. It wasn’t his fault really, Sirius was the one who had spent the whole meeting looking at him like that. Sure, he was the one who dragged them into the closet, but how could one be expected to make it back to his bedroom all the way on the other side of the castle.
“I would also note,” his mother added, taking a sip of her tea like this was the most normal conversation in the world, “that the secret passageways in this castle are meant for security purposes and the ease of use by staff. Not for sneaking to servants rooms for midnight trysts.”
Remus’s brain was fully and completely broken now. He knew he needed to say something to his mother, but he sure as hell didn’t want to confirm or provide any more details of his and Sirius’s off-duty encounters. So he latched onto the one thing he did know with full certainty. “I refuse to stop seeing him.”
His mother grinned wider at that. “Oh, do you now?”
“Yes,” Remus spluttered. “I understand he may not be of our rank or - or our status but he is kind, mother, and he cares for me deeply and I care for him. I won’t give up love for anything.”
“It’s love is it?”
Remus froze again. “I - I didn’t say that.”
“I think you did,” she turned to Minerva, sitting at her side. “What did you hear Minnie?”
She grinned mischievously. “I’m certain our young prince said he was in love.”
“Well then, I suppose our matchmaking efforts have been a success.” They clinked their tea cups together in a celebratory cheers.
“I am high right now?” Remus gasped.
“I should hope not darling. That would be unbefitting of the heir. I hope you have enough brains that if you’re going to do anything, you wouldn’t do it before you were scheduled to meet your mother.”
“But Sirius was hired as a security guard.”
“Yes,” Hope said. “He was and did you think it was a fluke that your personal guard had changed six times in the last few months. It was Minnie’s idea actually, she figured if we couldn’t get you to go to the suitors then we’d bring the suitors to you.”
“And Sirius?” Remus asked.
“Didn’t know. It’s up to you whether or not you want to tell. Although, I hope one day it will give the two of you a good laugh. Of course, you’ll have to decided whether or not to tell him before or after presenting him with a formal invitation to reside in the palace full-time as your partner,” she paused, pouring herself another cup of tea. “Of course, only if that’s what you want.”
“Yes,” Remus said without hesitation. “Yes, that’s what I want.”
“Good. Now, are you going to go tell him you love him or are you going to keep standing here with your jaw hanging open?”
Remus stuttered back to life, sputtering his formal regards and goodbyes before turning on his heel and sprinting out of the room.
“Well,” Hope said, smiling at Minnie. “I think that went well, don’t you?”
Minnie grinned back at her for a moment before they both broke out into peals of laughter that echoed through the halls of the castle.

All the Young Dudes by MsKingBean89
LONG fic charting the marauders’ time at Hogwarts (and beyond) from Remus’ PoV - diversion from canon in that Remus’s father died and he was raised in a children’s home, and is a bit rough around the edges. Otherwise canon-compliant. 1971 - 1995

If Harry had to guess which out of he or his Auror Partner, and tentative new friend, Draco Malfoy, would turn out to have Veela ancestry, his answer would be: neither, because that is ridiculous. Finding out the answer is actually him, and that his Veela heritage is wreaking havoc on his ability to work, sleep, and above all be in the same room as Malfoy, is a surprise to say the least. But this is fine. Harry’s been through worse, and he can just sit this one out, regardless of how much his body is screaming for the one person he doesn’t want to ask for help. Can’t he? Rec Post

can u write a blackinnon fanfic where she and sirius are matchmaking jily but realise their feelings towards each other x
Look, i know this took me awhile, but i'm back on the marauders era trend and I will be here to stay for awhile! Send me prompts or send me whatever you want and please let's keep this ship sailing<3
i'm not sure how much i like this one but I hope you do like it as much as i did writing it. I might need to practice more but here it is, my fic after awhile.
He was rolling his eyes as Marlene went over the top once again convincing Lily about James’ qualities as they sat at the Gryffindor table for dinner. Sirius swears the blonde doesn’t know this thing called subtlety, the red-haired girl looks at her bestfriend amusedly though. “How much did Potter even pay you to say all of these, Marls?” The head girl chuckled with a shake of her head. Marlene pouted. “What? I just think it will be nice for you to actually give James a chance, it has been seven years after all, Lils!” The other beater of the Gryffindor team argued. “McKinnon, honestly, I think Evans could have said yes all those years ago, quit it.” Both the witches looked at the raven-haired wizard with a look of surprise, even Remus and Peter whipped their heads at Sirius.
The blonde’s expression changed from surprised to annoyance. “Aren’t you supposed to back up your best mate on this?” She challenged but all Sirius did was shrug. “They’re both old enough to make decisions for themselves.” Soon, James Potter himself took a seat next to Sirius, fresh from shower. The Gryffindor Quidditch captain always takes his time during days that they have practice and comes in late. “What are we talking about?” The headboy asked. “Nothing…” Lily answered off handedly and focused on her plate, avoiding James’ eyes. Sirius immediately changed the subject to other things and the evening went on as usual. The rest of the students all filed out the Great Hall going in different directions as the dinner comes to a close. “Are you coming?” Lily asked Marlene as Mary and Dorcas were already standing up. The blonde remained seated as if taking her sweet time finishing her treacle tart. “Nah, I’ll see you all up in the tower.” The redhead looked at the blonde with suspicion but didn’t say anything else. “Okay…See you later then.”
The marauders are usually the last ones to leave the Gryffindor table as well and Marlene has been giving Sirius dirty looks the whole evening. “Stop glaring at me.” The animagus told her as he finally took a seat next to her, now that her friends are no longer around, his back leaning back on the table. “I think it’s time for us to be going too…” Remus said standing up and looking around the almost empty Great Hall. “You guys go on ahead. Blondie here needs some one on one.” Sirius said with a mischievous grin which earned him another glare from the lioness. “You two had been spending way too much time together lately.” James mused but stood up as well ready to go with Remus and Peter. “Catch you later, Pads.” Sirius just nodded at his friends and focused his attention on Marlene again.
“What the fuck was that, Black?” the witch snarled as soon as their friends are all gone. “What?” he asked innocently. “We agreed we will speed things up for those two already.” She huffed. “Your tactic is clearly not working, I suggest we do the opposite and let Lily realize what she has been missing by acting nonchalant about it.” Sirius stated. The suggestion made sense but Marlene had doubts about it, afterall, she was very much into this little project they started a few weeks ago. Sure, it started with just some drunken conversation about how better it will be if James and Lily will just get on with it and snog already, that way they won’t have to watch them throwing each other those looks of longing. They also agreed that if the two actually started dating maybe it will help James relax on the pitch too which will be beneficial for both of them. Being both beaters of the team, they’re the most extensively worked during practice.
However, during those weeks that they have conspired to bring the two closer, Marlene had sensed something changing in her too. Sirius Black had always been gorgeous, everyone with two working eyes can see that but she never really paid that much attention, he was afterall never settled down and flirts as much as he can especially if it works on his favor. He was just a friend, a housemate, and her partner at the pitch. But the more she looks at his stormy eyes and the way he leans in to whisper another sneaky plan to get their bestfriends together, Marlene finds herself having butterflies fluttering in the pit of her stomach. She didn’t even want to acknowledge it. He is Sirius bloody Black for merlin’s sake. But then, no one has control on how they’d feel right? “So, are you saying we should stop then with this?” Marlene asked.
“That’s not what I said, what i said is we should change our plan of attack.” Sirius said with mirth in those grey orbs as he meet her blue ones. As much as she hated to admit it, there was relief she felt deep inside. This means she still has an excuse to spend time with him and that alone made her smile. “Okay, fine…let’s do it your way, but if this fails, we’ll do it my way again, yeah?” She told him, her usual bossy tone apparent. Sirius chuckled and nodded. “Yeah, yeah, whatever, McKinnon. We already know your plans don’t work.” He teased and she hit his arm playfully which made the wizard laugh. What she didn’t know was Sirius had already let go of this notion that they can even get those two together. Lily can be very stubborn even though everyone can already see her softening up to James. The once Black heir was just continuing the pretense so that he can actually spend more time with Marlene. The girl never gave him the time of the day in the past. Always treating him as just another bloke she conversed with, to say that she had friendzoned him was an understatement and he had been wondering for years why. When they came up with this plan, Sirius saw the chance to actually get close and somehow learn why she never seem to even look at him with interest. Not that it’s the only reason why she caught his eye too. Marlene has always been a looker, but she also has the wit and that athleticism that she puts to good use in quidditch that just renders anyone spellbound including him.
“Ready to go up?” He asked, looking at her plate with food she probably won’t be eating anymore. “Yeah…” She nodded with a smile. “Alright.” Sirius got up, offering his hand to help her to her feet. It was not something he usually does and Marlene also looked at the hand that was offered with a pleasant surprise on her face. “Developing manners, Black?” The blonde teased with a quirk of her brow but took his hand nevertheless. “Don’t get used to it.” He bantered back, liking how her hands felt soft on his. Now on her feet, she expected for him to let her hand go but he didn’t. Instead, he continued holding her hand, gently intertwining their fingers together and Marlene’s ears felt hot as she felt herself blush. It’s really happening, Sirius Black was holding her hand. “You mind?” He asked, looking at her with an expression that was so foreign on his face. She had never seen him like this, almost unsure and afraid she will say that she does mind. “No…it’s fine.” She assured him, giving his hand a soft squeeze. They exchanged shy smiles, which both are never known for and headed for the door. Maybe this could be the start of something new for the two lions.

I mean it’s kinda been a while since I’ve been properly active on here whoops. But I’ve still but skulking about quietly cultivating my silly little hyperfixations and writing my silly little stories about them and it’s gotten to the point where I may finally have something new to put on AO3 so I figured I would indulge in WIP Wednesday to really put the pressure on.
It has been two years since I’ve posted a fic and this is a Christmas fic so she still has a few months of proofing and fine tuning ahead - but it intends to be very wolfstar turning hallmark movie featuring single-dad/bookstore owner Remus; fancy business Sirius learning to let himself appreciate to little things in life; James being his usual chaotic-Christmas obsessed self; toddle Harry and Teddy being best friends/partners in crime/unintentional matchmakers; and a little side of domestic Jily
It’s strange being back in Hogsmeade. Sirius notes as he makes his way down the winding street, that the small town really hasn’t changed at all since he was last here almost ten years ago. In fact, if anything it somehow seems even smaller and quieter than it was when he used to visit during his high school days. Frankly, he finds it ridiculous that James would ever want to give up the excitement and buzz of city life for a town whose under-fifty population could probably be counted on two hands. And yes, logically it does make sense - Lily started a new job at their old high school in September and it’s probably a good place to raise a kid (not that Sirius knows much about good parenting but he feels like quaint countryside is supposed to be good.) But regardless of that, at the end of the day, Sirius is still just a smidge annoyed that his best friends up and moved to the other end of the country when there are plenty of good schools in London for Lily to teach at and Harry to enrol in.
However, any mild resentment that has quietly brewed over the last couple of months is quickly replaced by excitement when he finally reaches the last cottage at the of the street and pushes open the red garden gate. The front door is open before Sirius if even halfway up the path. There’s a delightful squeal and Sirius barely has time to register what’s happening before a tiny toddler slams into his leg at a speed that no three-year-old should be able to reach.
He leans down to scoop up Harry, lifting him high into the air and holding him above his head. Harry shrieks with glee, making tiny grabby hands at Sirius’ face.
“Hello Hazza, how’s my favourite little Prongslet?” He asks as he gives Harry one more bounce in the air before bringing him down to balance on his hip.
“Pads!” is all Harry has to say with an unwipable grin plastered on his face.
“He’s been watching through the window all day,” another voice calls and Sirius glances up to find Lily leaning up in the open doorway, an equally big smile as her son.
It only takes a few strides for Sirius to make it to the porch and as soon as he’s in arms reach, he pulls Lily into a tight hug. “Hey, Lils,” he says, face pressed into her soft curls. God he’s missed this.
“How was the journey up?” She asks as pulls away from the hug and leads him inside.
He is hot immediately by the warmth and the smell of baking. It immediately reminds him of visiting the Potters over Christmas as a teenager - Effie and Monty had somehow always made him feel more welcome and more at home than he ever did with his actual parents.
“Long,” he says as he shucks his shoes off. It’s a careful balancing act as he refuses to put Harry down. “I can’t believe we used to do that trip multiple times a year without complaint.”
Lily hums in agreement. “I know. Now imagine it that little nightmare,” she says, the last part more of a coo than actual talking and Harry is giggling again as she ruffles his dark hair.
“Aw, you’re not a nightmare, are you Harry?”
“Yeah!” Harry cheers in agreement.
“You wouldn’t disagree after a ten-hour road trip with him.”
Sirius shudders at the thought.

tonks/remus 🤭
hate it:)) it's blatant comp het. but i'm going to rant a bit bcs you asked for it
this pairing is the best case of the assh0le author panicking bcs of how queer-coded those two characters are. not only that but her misogyny as well. Tonks was reduced to a wide-eyed, pure lady swooning over a man ten years older than her, suddenly interested in starting a family, immediately getting pregnant amidst war.
and sure, a counterpoint could be 'it all happened behind the curtains', bcs it's harry's pov so we cant assume she never had any of those feelings and what not, but Tonks is set up to be spirited, adventurous, and youthful. like how are we just expected to believe she apparently has been wanting to be a mother right as the war is at its peak. and that her development with remus all happened after sirius died. strange coincidence.
then theres the whole molly pressuring the two of them together. it really rubs me off the wrong way how molly is, first of all, meddling so hard. like im p sure theres a line where you can play matchmaker and what shes doing is beyond that line. she doesnt strike me as tonks or remus' bestfriend so..
and maybe the author just sucks at writing (intentional) romance.
as for remus im simply on the side of r/s. completely biased lol.
but ok even if he moved on from sirius' death (impossible) i think the only way i can see this pairing come to be is, to go back to my first point, a comphet, in other words, a mistake. tonks or maybe both of them were desperate to find comfort and found it from each other. (weird). either way it would be nothing serious, like starting-a-family-together-serious.
i actually love the idea that tonks reminds remus of sirius so much. OR that tonks is an amazing friend to remus. just as remus is for tonks. and the bridge(?) is sirius. like it's bcs of how similar sirius and tonks are.
and yes, im an angst reader and writer so i can excuse/tolerate this pairing only for the angst. either way it should end with them not getting together:))
ps. this is why i have a hard time with teddy's existence

OKAY IM READY!! Also feel free to always ask me this stuff. I don’t post my own writing and I haven’t been gif making but either way I don’t get a lot of interaction and love talking to you and getting asks, so I’m always down for that
Anyway:
3. Best character you’ve written for (and a fic that has great characterization in it)
Okay I’m so biased but I love Logan and billy obviously, but your Diego Hargreaves got me into TUA so like that scores major points too so I’m kind of torn. Yellow Diamonds I feel like captures billy really well because it’s like that balance between him being like super hyper focused and strategic vs going feral whenever someone is taken from him. I felt like that’s probably my favorite characterization but honestly I can’t decide.
6. Something I vividly remember from reading your fics
Oh gosh there’s so many. There’s always like certain lines that stick out to me. Like in the Drabble you know I love with billy where one of them is late to an event? The line where it’s like ‘screw security. Frank figures him and Curtis should just be matchmakers instead’ or something like that? I don’t know why but I always distinctly remember that line. (Maybe because it’s the last line? Idk)
Then in your Diego fic ‘yesterday, tomorrow, and today’ the first thing I think about in that fic is the part where she moons him😂. Also can’t help but think about how I loved how she interacts with fives and klaus in that. Oh and the worry she had when she saw patch was back (I can literally hear the dialogue in my head)
Then in priorities which is a billy fic, I love how desperate billy was just to know that she’s okay and safe and how distraught he was at the thought of her leaving. Like he literally gets in a helicopter to find her because he’s so worried.
Then in the Logan fic (sorry theres so many great ones and I’m indecisive lmfao) ‘this is my idea’, I love how it shows the progression of their relationship and how it wasn’t always smooth sailing and Logan had to work to earn her trust back after fucking around. And like I like the sort of childhood enemies to friends to acquaintances to lovers vibe it gives off
And in oblivious with Sirius black, I really like that fic because it’s not a trope I’d really seen done and it was done so well and in a way that made sense and seemed plausible. Plus Sirius black being a dumbass is 10/10 something he would do. I always remember James and the rest of the gang totally being on the readers side and ragging on Sirius for being a dumbass.
Then in the getting back together with nick amaro headcanons, I remember how on edge I was for that because it’s so nerve wracking and Nick is yelling at Olivia (?) to drive faster and I remember being like it’s an actual tv show where you’re on edge and you don’t know if the writer is going to crush your heart or not.
8. What I love most about your writing
Is it stupid to say the inclusivity? Like high key your writing is AMAZING and everything but I love that you really leave the reader descriptions up to, well, the reader. And you write realistic relationships that have highs and lows so well so it feels way more real. It’s always passionate and loving but not in a way that feels out of reach if that makes sense?
12. A fic I’ve reread
Literally all of them?? Seriously I don’t think I’ve not reread a single one of your fics?? Legit I reread your masterlist all the time.
I probably reread your billy stuff the most. Yellow diamonds is the series I reread the most, probably followed by helpless. It really depends on what character I’m looking to reread for; like all the ones I’ve listed above I’ve reread a ton. Seriously your entire masterlist is GOLD!!
Anyway yeah feel free to ask more or whatever I love getting to talk about your work
Soon as my self esteem dips again, I'll be in your inbox asking you about your opinions on my fics. This is a warning!
Honestly, I can't even properly respond to this. It's been in my drafts for weeks now, and really, all I can say is thank you, thank you, thank you. This breakdown of your favorite fics of mine just makes me so happy!!! Thank you for reading and commenting and thank you for THIS because I screenshot it and I look at what you wrote and it just makes me feel all warm inside.
Thank you!!!

Ask for a sirius request and you shall receive. I've been thinking about this idea for a while (and your writing is perfect for it ily) but how about a ravenclaw reader who is friends with james or remus and they introduce them? The one in my head was remus going to her dorm for a sleepover and bringing sirius and just being like "isn't she neat :)" and sirius immediately falling in love 🥺 no pressure if you dont vibe with it 🥰 ily bunches
i went to ravenclaw tower and all i got was this lousy stained shirt
pairing: sirius/reader
word count: 3.9k
summary: james and remus play matchmaker for you and sirius
content: ravenclaw!reader, fluff, it gets awkward (some of this was hard to write... 😭😭), dialogue heavy, you and sirius are very back-and-forth-y and witty (you’ll see what i mean), i know the title is long but i thought it was funny and i can do what i want
this was such a fun request!! i hope you don’t mind i took some liberties because i just immediately imagined remus and james secretly trying to match the two of you up for a while!! also i turned the sleepover into a party at ravenclaw tower!! (also also i came up with some cute ravenclaw girl ocs just for this, they were supposed to be minor but ended up having their own sideplots because i get carried away with everything. but they were fun to write! i gave them backstories and everything so if anyone wants to know more about them just ask :)
warning: mentions of alcohol!!
“You should meet Sirius.”
“Black?”
“Oh, I’m sorry, do you know another Sirius?”
You stick your tongue out at him and Remus smiles.
“What is it with Sirius, huh?” you tell him, adding a few drops of rain water into the potion before handing Remus the spoon to stir. He takes it and immediately gets to work.
“You and James,” you continue, idly counting Remus’s counterclockwise stirs in your head. “Not a day goes by where you don’t tell me I have to meet Sirius.”
In truth, you’d seen Sirius a few times. And he’d seen you, but neither one of you had actually spoken more than a few words to the other. Especially not since sixth year. Sirius had dropped Potions and Astronomy as quick as he could - the only two classes you’d had left with him. And seeing as you were in different Houses, bumping into each other in the common room was off the table as well.
But you had Potions with Remus and Astronomy with James, and whenever they could, they would always mention how you just had to meet Sirius. You sometimes wondered if Sirius was always being told he had to meet you.
“I just think you’d get along,” Remus shrugs, halting his stirring before you can even tell him to do so.
You both work in tandem for a bit after that, dropping ingredients into your potion and stirring when needed. You liked partnering up with Remus for this exact reason. You’d both fall into a comfortable silence and develop a good rhythm - you just flowed well together.
Once the potion is nearly finished, Remus speaks up.
“What about tonight? Isn’t there a party at Ravenclaw?”
“Robin says not to call it a party.”
“Well, that’s what it is.”
“Yeah, but we can’t call it that. At least not out loud,” you insist, not wanting your dorm mate’s wrath to come back later and haunt you. “It’s a quiet get-together,” you correct him.
Remus scoffs, knowing damn well that Ravenclaw parties are anything but. “That, then. You can meet him there.”
You raise an eyebrow in complete disbelief. “You’re gonna get Sirius Black to come to a Ravenclaw party?”
“What happened to quiet get-together?”
Damn it.
You quickly spare a glance at Robin, but she’s all the way across the room, scolding her partner for something he did to their potion.
“Good luck with that,” you continue, pretending to ignore his quip.
“We’ll convince him!” Remus assures you, as if it’s the least of his worries.
“Okayyy...” you sing, entirely unconvinced.
You’ve never seen Sirius Black at a non-Gryffindor party. He has way too much House pride to ever be caught partying in another common room. You’re almost positive you’ve seen him root for Gryffindor at Quidditch matches even when the team isn’t playing.
“Okay? So you’ll meet him?” Remus presses.
You laugh. “Okay! I guess!” you tell him, resigned. “But you and James have been hyping him up for a while, so don’t be surprised if he doesn’t live up to my expectations and I end up hating him.” You shrug a shoulder as you turn down the fire under the cauldron.
Remus just grins. “I guess you’ll have to wait and see.”
.
.
.
Despite your nonchalant attitude with Remus earlier today, you actually find yourself feeling a bit nervous.
“Hey, do you guys know Sirius?” you ask over your shoulder as you straighten your outfit in the mirror. “Black?” you add quickly.
“Did you just ask us if we know Sirius Black?” A shrill voice cuts through the air and you know immediately that it’s Robin.
You groan, “I know, I know, everyone knows-”
“Everyone knows him,” Robin talks over you, and then sprays a copious amount of hairspray into her already voluminous blonde locks.
You move out of her way so she can use the mirror and she gratefully takes the opportunity, stepping in front of you to fluff up her roots.
“Yeah, how do you not know him?” Bea calls from the bathroom, where April is helping her into her dress.
“I mean, I know him,” you say, flopping down on your bed. “But I don’t actually know him. You know?”
“He was April’s first kiss!” Bea taunts. She makes several kissy noises and then you hear her say ‘ow!’
“You’ve got to stop bringing that up,” you hear April scold, “It was second year!”
Bea giggles and then skips out of the bathroom, April trailing closely behind.
Bea has on a stunning yellow sundress with long, belled sleeves - going all out, as usual. The color compliments her dark skin beautifully, but you know she’s really only wearing it to lure in that Hufflepuff boy she’s had her eye on.
April has still yet to get dressed, always waiting until the very last minute, but her straight black hair has been flawlessly curled - presumably Robin’s work.
“So what is it? Why do you wanna know about Black?” April asks politely, leaning against your bedpost as Bea sits on her trunk to slip on her shoes.
“James and Remus... They’re gonna get him to come here.”
Bea nearly drops her shoe, and Robin spins around to face you.
“Here?” The two say at the same time.
“Is he really?” April asks mildly, voice much gentler than the other two.
You shrug and nod your head at the same time, giving them an uncertain look. “I think so? Maybe? If they can convince him.”
There’s a beat of silence and then the hissing sound of Robin’s can of hairspray fills the air once more as she frantically tries to get her hair to cooperate. At the very same time, Bea starts to rummage around her wardrobe, muttering to herself about how ‘I think I have a red dress in here somewhere...’
It’s clear they’re both doubling their efforts, hoping to catch Sirius’s eye.
You laugh a bit and then turn to look at April, whose eyes are stuck on Robin’s reflection. She has a solemn expression on her face, but quickly snaps out of her trance when she notices you watching her.
“So,” she starts, putting on a small smile, “You’ve really never met Sirius Black?” she asks, sitting down beside you and crossing her legs beneath her.
“No, but I hear you have,” you tease, and she rolls her eyes.
“Yes, the first and only boy I’ve ever kissed.” She rolls her eyes.
You hear Robin fumble with her can of hairspray but think nothing of it.
April continues, “Anyway, that was second year,” she waves it off. “I do have muggle studies with him.”
“What’s he like?” you find yourself asking.
April shrugs a shoulder. “He’s nice, I suppose. Funny. Asks the professor a lot of questions about motorbikes.”
You tilt your head. “Motorbikes? Why?”
“Who knows. I think you two would get along, though.”
“Why’s that?”
April observes you for a few beats and then laughs a bit. You expect her to say something more but she just gives you a slight nudge with her elbow and then walks off, most likely to go get dressed.
Well that was pointless. You didn’t really learn anything useful. But then again, you’re not sure what you expected out of a conversation with April, who tends to keep her talking to a minimum (She claims it makes her more mysterious) (And she’s right, too).
Oh well. Perhaps you could find a way to strike up a casual conversation about motorbikes with Sirius.
Yeah, right.
.
.
.
It’s a few hours into the party when the door opens up, letting in James and Remus. Trailing behind them, looking unnecessarily wary, is Sirius Black. He traipses around as if at any moment something in the common room is going to jump out and bite him, and you struggle to stifle a laugh.
You quickly wander off before any of them can spot you, fleeing towards where the drinks are. You figure that when they find you, you may as well be doing something instead of just lamely standing around. So you pick up the ladle and start to refill your cup.
April had transfigured her cauldron into one made of glass, and Robin had used it to concoct her famous sickly sweet, lavender colored drink that she’d aptly named ‘Robin’s Brew’. It was made up of a mixture of muggle and wizard liquors, as well as a myriad of different fruit juices. The taste itself was actually semi disgusting, but you get used to it after the initial few sips.
You ladle some more of the drink into your cup and then spin on your heel, ready to resume the search for your friends.
That is, until you crash face first against a broad chest, effectively spilling ‘Robin’s Brew’ all over whoever you just bumped into.
“Oh my gosh!” you blurt out, setting the now empty cup down. “I am so sorry, I-” Your words catch in your throat when you finally look up to see the person’s face.
So much for a good first impression.
Sirius waves you off, looking down at his now purple stained white shirt. “Don’t worry ab-” he stops in the middle of the word as he raises his gaze to look at you.
His lips are still slightly parted as if his voice had simply escaped him mid-sentence, and his expression is stunned and mesmerized all at once.
“I, um...” he tries again, but it’s as if he’s been put in some kind of trance just by looking at you.
“Oh, great! You’ve met!” A cheery voice cuts through the tension, and you both turn your head to find James beaming at the two of you.
Trailing behind James is Remus, who takes in the state of the two of you and grimaces.
“Met?” Sirius voices as he looks at James, sounding a bit dazed.
“Yeah, remember? Y/N!” James reminds him. “She’s great, right?” he grins, and you cringe.
“Oh, this is...?” Sirius slowly turns his head to look at you again. “Hey...” he says faux-smoothly, as if attempting to salvage your very first meeting.
“Hey...” you say back a bit awkwardly. “Um... Look, there’s towels in my dorm, we can all go?” you suggest, looking to the others for approval.
“Why don’t you two go?” Remus proposes instead, and you shoot him an alarmed look.
“Yeah!” James nearly shouts, looking at Remus as if he’s a genius. “Yeah, you’ll find us later!” he’s quick to agree, and they both start to walk away.
You let out a nervous laugh. “Oh, I don’t know if-” you start, not sure if comfortable enough to be alone with a man you just met after spilling your drink on him.
But Remus and James don’t wanna hear it.
“Alright! See you later!” James throws a finger gun at you as he walks backwards and then spins on his heel.
“But I-”
“Bye!” Remus calls, and then they both disappear into a small crowd of people.
You turn to face Sirius, whose shirt is still dripping and who’s watching you with rapt intrigue. He turns away the moment your eyes meet, clearing his throat awkwardly.
Soon enough you’re leading Sirius down the corridor that leads to your dormitory, trying desperately to remember whether or not you’d tidied up your area of the room.
The door swings open just as you arrive at it, and from out of it come April and Robin who seem to be having a serious looking discussion. They quickly stop talking as soon as they spot the two of you, and April is quick to storm off, leaving Robin behind.
“Oh, you’ll want to get rid of that,” Robin says with a wince, gesturing at Sirius’s shirt. “The stain actually gets darker the more you try to get it off... So...”
You give a heavy sigh. “Yeah, thanks Robin.”
She shrugs apologetically with both hands in the air and then starts to walk off. “Robin’s Brew! Patent pending!” she calls over her shoulder as she scurries off to catch up with April.
“What’s up with them?” Sirius mutters under his breath as you lead him inside.
“Well, aren’t you nosy?” you’re quick to reply.
You say it as a joke, but immediately wish you could take it back. What were you thinking?! You didn’t know Sirius enough to joke around with him like that! You didn’t know him at all! Hell, you’d just spilled your drink all over him, for all you know the guy hates you!
You spin around, ready to apologize, but then Sirius is laughing, and you nearly let out a massive sigh of relief.
“Uh-” your apology catches in your throat for a moment but you quickly recover. “Sorry, I-”
“No, it’s okay.” He shakes his head. “You’re right, nosy is my middle name,” he tells you with a shrug and a lopsided grin.
You find yourself smiling back. “Sirius Nosy Black, huh?”
He hums. “Rolls right off the tongue, doesn’t it?”
“Oh, definitely.”
It’s silent for a moment as you both look at each other. Your thoughts leave you a bit as you get distracted by that strange way that he’s looking at you, but then you remember with a jolt that Sirius Black is in your dorm, shirt stained lavender and dripping ‘Robin’s Brew’ onto the floor.
“Um!” You scramble towards the bathroom and yank a random towel off the rack. “Here,” You toss it and Sirius catches it with one hand.
“You can, um...” You trail off but then realize you’re still standing in the doorway, effectively blocking his entrance. “Oh!” You quickly move out of the way, leaving a clear path for Sirius.
“Thanks,” he says with a slight laugh before disappearing into the bathroom.
Once the door closes you’re left alone, idly shuffling around, not really knowing what to do now.
This was horrible. All of this was horrible. You’re alone in your dorm with a man you’ve just met - sure he’s friends with Remus and James, but that doesn’t mean it’s not awkward!
You have to focus. You have to avoid any more tense silences. What would you say when he got out of the bathroom?
You suppose he did laugh at your quip earlier - he’d even added a little joke of his own. You’d gone back and forth a bit. It was easy to converse once you’d gotten started. But getting started was exactly the issue... You needed a good topic. Why can’t you think of a good topic?!
The door to the bathroom opens up and out walks Sirius, leather jacket now slung over his forearm and white shirt drier, but still equally stained.
You panic.
“Hey, do you like motorbikes?” You blurt out, and then have to resist the urge to hurl yourself out the window.
Sirius’s eyes widen and he opens and closes his mouth a few times, looking like a stunned fish, before saying “Motorbikes?”
You purse your lips. “Yeah, I was...” You shrug, trying to play off your very strange, very targeted question as just casual conversation. “I was just wondering... I dunno...” you say, leaning against one of your bedposts.
Sirius breaks out into a smile. “I have a motorbike.”
“Really! No way!” you exclaim, pretending to be shocked. Although you didn’t really know Sirius owned a motorbike, it wasn’t all that surprising considering what April had told you just a few hours ago.
Sirius’s eyes narrow slightly, looking at you as if he’s trying very hard to figure you out. “Yeah... I’m fixing it up right now...” he tells you, still grinning.
“Oh? Is it broken?”
He tilts his head back and forth a few times and then says “Not exactly.”
You cross your arms. “Then why are you fixing it up?” you challenge.
Sirius just rolls his eyes. “Well I’d argue that anything that can’t fly can definitely be improved.”
That startles a laugh out of you. “You’re gonna get your motorbike to fly?”
“Laugh it up now!” Sirius nods as you bring a hand to your lips, stifling your giggles. “No one’ll be laughing once I finish my flying motorbike!”
“Oh, I’d love to see it in action.”
“Sure, I’ll take you on a ride once it’s done,” he tells you, voice genuine.
That shuts you up. All of a sudden you find that you have no witty response. Apparently out of all the things that could have rendered you silent, the prospect of going on a ride on Sirius Black’s flying motorbike seems to have done the trick.
Sirius notices.
“I mean- If you want.” he quickly says, raising a hand. “I mean- Sorry. I know we just met, and I made you spill your drink, and I think I stained your towel with whatever that drink was - sorry about that too - but I-”
“Hey,” you cut him off, giving him a pointed but lighthearted look.
He gazes back expectantly.
“I’d love to,” you assure him, and he grins.
You don’t even remember what you were so nervous about. This was easy. Talking to Sirius was so easy once you got into a rhythm.
So you did.
You talked for a while, and when you got tired of standing you laid down on your bed, face down, head resting in your hands and legs kicking behind you as Sirius sat cross legged on your trunk in front of you. You talked about possible spells and modifications for Sirius’s motorbike, you bonded about all the times James and Remus had tried to get the two of you together, you even just talked about whatever nonsense came to your heads.
You were still talking (now both sitting on your bed) when the door creaked open, letting in April and Robin. April was asleep and Robin was carrying her bridal style. You notice they’re both barefoot, but Robin only has April’s shoes in hand - hers were probably somewhere in the common room.
“Oh, hey,” you say in a hushed tone, not wanting to wake April.
“Hey,” Robin responds, though she’s not quite as cautious with her volume as you.
Earlier today you’d have thought Robin would’ve freaked out the moment she saw Sirius, but if she cares about him being in the dorm, she doesn’t show it.
“She fell asleep on the couch. Thought I should leave her here,” the blonde explains as she pads over to April’s bed. She drops the shoes on the ground and then pauses to look at you. “Do you mind?” she questions, nodding her head towards the bed.
You quickly get up, striding over to April’s bed and pulling back the blankets.
“Thanks,” Robin murmurs as she gently sets the raven haired girl down.
You pull the covers up again and April stirs a bit but doesn’t wake up.
Robin finally acknowledges Sirius. “Hi,” she waves with a smile. Sirius smiles back. “Sorry, I didn’t-”
“No, it’s fine. We were just talking,” you assure her, and she nods a bit before turning her attention back to April, gazing down at her with a slight furrow to her brow.
“Where’s Bea?” you voice, curious.
“Went off with her Hufflepuff, I expect.”
“Mm. Is the party over?”
“Quiet get-together.” Robin corrects you without a second thought and you laugh lightly, sitting back down on your bed beside Sirius. “And yeah. I’m gonna go try to clean up a bit,” she says, sounding like the prefect she is.
You watch as Robin hesitates over April for a bit, smoothing the blankets over, brushing stray hairs from the sleeping girl’s face. It’s as if she wants to take care of her but isn’t sure how. In the end, she gives you a smile, bids a polite ‘goodbye’ to Sirius, and then exits quietly.
“We never went and found James and Remus,” you turn to look at Sirius once the door closes and he grins.
“I don’t think they ever expected us to.”
“You’re probably right.”
April stirs again and you get up to close the curtains of her four-poster.
“I should go help Robin,” you tell Sirius, and he takes the cue quickly standing up.
“Right. Sorry I kept you up.“
“No, it was fun. Sorry I spilled my drink on you.”
“No, it was fun,” Sirius echoes, and you give him a slight shove.
The two of you walk across the room and out of the door in comfortable silence, and once you’re in the corridor you speak up.
“So, hypothetically,” you start.
“Uh-huh,” Sirius assents immediately.
“If you wanted to... I don’t know... Have breakfast with me tomorrow...”
“Oh?”
“How would you go about that?”
“Hypothetically?” Sirius raises an eyebrow, as if double checking.
“Of course,” you nod.
“Well in this completely made up scenario,” he starts, “I’d probably meet you here at seven and walk you down to the Great Hall.”
You fight a smile. “Well, great.”
“Is it?”
“Yeah. Hypothetically I’d definitely be ready by then.”
“Perfect.”
“Glad we’re on the same page.”
You’ve reached the door that leads out of the common room by now, and you open it up, leaning against the frame. The rest of the castle is dark as it’s well past midnight, and you can hear the quiet sounds of nearby portraits snoring. You’d be worried about him getting caught, but with all the pranks the Marauders have pulled throughout the years, you know for a fact that Sirius Black had plenty of experience sneaking about the castle after curfew.
You watch as he lights his wand with a quick ‘Lumos’ and starts to walk off, but then he hesitates.
“What?” you voice as he turns around, walking back towards you.
He stops right in front of you, looking at you very intensely, scrutinizing every inch of your face. For a brief moment you expect him to lean in and kiss you, but then he speaks.
“I know you brought up motorbikes on purpose. That girl April takes muggle studies with me, and she-”
You quickly shut the door in his face and press your back against it, eyes wide and smiling despite yourself.
You scurry off to help Robin and a few others clean up, spirits high with the promise of having breakfast with Sirius tomorrow morning.
And who knows, maybe by tomorrow he’ll forget all about the motorbike thing. At least, you hope he does.
(He doesn’t.)
.
.
Bonus, the next morning:
“There they are!” James exclaims as you and Sirius approach the table.
“Did he live up to your expectations?” Remus asks you pointedly as you sit down, and you poke your tongue out at him in response.
And then you shrug. “I’ve gotta say, right off the bat I wasn’t impressed.”
“You’re the one who spilled your drink all over me. My poor new shirt! Ruined!”
“Oh, boo hoo. Where will you ever find another plain, white T-shirt?”
“It had sentimental value!”
“And now it has a cute new design! So you’re welcome.”
“You want me to thank you for a stain?”
“It’s a fun souvenir from your first time in a non Gryffindor common room.”
“I should write on it. Big letters: ‘I went to Ravenclaw Tower and all I got was this lousy stained shirt.’”
“At least the stain is purple, it looked nice. Suits you.”
“Are you saying I look good in purple?”
“Sure.”
“So you’re saying I look good?”
“I- I didn’t-” you stammer, and then groan.
“Ah-ha!” Sirius points a finger at you. “Outwitted by a Gryffindor! If only Rowena Ravenclaw could see you now.”
Across the table, Remus and James watch on in dismay.
“Are you already regretting getting them together or is it just me?” James voices.
In response Remus sighs, “Oh, it’s not just you.”

Hello,
Do you ever think if the Fred and George placed any bets on how long it would take for Harry and Ginny to get together?
I’ve read many fics where bets were placed by them for Ron and Hermione, heck even some fics where Mcgonagall was playing matchmaker for those two. Although it’s always fun seeing how people saw the feelings that Ron and Hermione felt for each other (aside from Harry, sometimes) before they even realized it themselves. I’ve always wondered if bets were also placed for Hinny. I’d ask about Jily as well but there’s a high possibility that Sirius won/lost a lot of money because of his friends.
Hi anon!
What an interesting question! It's totally valid too, but for me personally? I actually don't think there were a lot of bets on that. Sure, everyone knew that Ginny fancied Harry, but I think Harry was better able to mask those feelings (plus, pair that with all of the other shit Harry had going on, I don't think anyone thought to pry into his love life that way).
And, I think it tends to hit different with Ron vs. Ginny. Not that I want to play into the gender stereotypes, but it can apply here. The 'Ron's another brother, one of the guys, it's perfectly okay to make a bet at his expense' attitude. Whereas Ginny (though we all know she can fend for herself), is the only sister, and I think there's a level of protection there that would save her from any bets, teasing from her brothers.
I think that's why, on the contrary, we always see the fics of all the Weasley brothers cornering Harry before the wedding or after the war, doing their 'brotherly duty' to protect their sister, even though every single one of them knows Harry would never do anything to hurt Ginny.
I absolutely adore the Ron/Hermione fics where bets are placed against them or someone tries to intervene to bring them together. And I'm chuckling at your comment about 'even McGonagall plays matchmaker' because my Prefect Mediation that was released this week is exactly that (ha!). Ron and Hermione fall so easily into that love is blind/idiots in love trope where they're completely oblivious and so the bets just work for them.
Jily? Oh hell yes, Sirius absolutely had pools going on those too. 100%
Thanks so much for the ask! That was fun to think about!

If the Marauders read your fics about them, which ones do you think they’d most like?
a;dlkfjadlfj I FEEL LIKE THEY WOULD LIKE NONE OF THEM.
Let's see....I have Remus dying and Sirius fucking Rita Skeeter, I have Sirius actually being the traitor and Remus murdering him, I have Sirius dying, Sirius dying again, Sirius dying for a third time, Sirius dying for a fourth time, Harry getting de-aged and Sirius and Remus having to confront the realities of his abuse, a fic where Sirius and Remus mourn their lost loves Fabian and Gideon....
I'm pretty sure the only fic the Marauders would find acceptable is the one where Sirius plays matchmaker and James and Remus get to kiss: The Trouble With Quidditch. :)

hi !! i think tumblr's been eating my asks so i'm sending this again... do you have any fics where they're both pining but obliviously and someone (*cough* james) has to give them a little nudge (shove) to get them together? thank you !! your blog is so positive i love your energy
Hello friend! James definitely prides himself on his matchmaking skills, right? 😉 All the fics below involve him interfering and trying his hardest to help his friends find love. Hope you enjoy these fun fics!
Matchmaker James: Wolfstar Fics
Two Marauders and One Matchmaker by Thatonelyric During their 6th Christmas break at Hogwarts, James hatches a plan to finally get Remus and Sirus together, who have been in denial for years. Of course Peter is dragged into it.
The First Date by Marie_Tomas Remus can't help feeling nervous on his first date with Sirius in sixth year, worrying that he'll say or do something to make a prat out of himself, or that his lack of any experience in romance will be obvious to a more confident Sirius. However, Sirius ends up revealing something on their date that helps to calm Remus's nerves.
Matchmaker Prongs by @starstruck4moony  James meets Regulus while out, and reports back to his bestie Moony about his new crush and his cute brother...Crack texting wolfstar fic.
Despairing Romantics (wolfstar) by @babydrivers It's the summer of sixth year and the marauders are spending their time at James Potter's house. During this eventful summer, Sirius Black desperately pines after a rather oblivious Remus Lupin and James Potter actively attempts to play matchmaker.
James' Next-Door Neighbour by @tinylilremus Based on the prompt “okay buddy you’ve been serenading the wrong window for about five minutes now, time to let you know my neighbor is out of town.” Remus is a light sleeper and any little noise at night wakes him up, which is why he's so annoyed when someone stops their bike right outside his house one night and, to his horror, begins serenading his window. It gets worse when Remus realises that it was actually intended for his next-door-neighbour James, and worse still when Remus and the biker discover that James might have orchestrated the whole thing.
Who's Minding the Store by escribo Sirius is minding his own business, Remus just wants to buy a book, and James doesn't even work there.
Can't Give Everything by WolfstarGarden James decides it's time for Remus to meet a nice man. It probably would have been a good idea to tell Remus before he set up the blind date, though...
I love you like a pig loves not being bacon by @apieformydean Moony never reads the pick-up lines when Sirius can see him. He only ever read the first one he wrote him (‘Are you a hipster? Coz you make my hips stir.’) and he flushed to the tip of his ears. It was two months ago and Sirius writes him a crappy-sappy pick-up line every time he visits The Marauders. And Moony comes almost every day.
Shaking Things Up by Noisemakers Bartender!AU. In an irritatingly thoughtful plot by serial matchmakers James Potter and Lily Evans, Remus Lupin winds up at a gay bar in the middle of London. It just so happens that the bartender is a friend of James', and he's taken a special interest in Remus.
Tabula Rasa by mrs_jack_turner
Sirius Black has always been a bit of a cocky bastard. It's just in his nature. However, his overconfidence and not thinking before he acts gets him into trouble when he finds himself stranded alone on an unknown planet.
If you need fic recommendations, ask the Wolfstar Librarian!

valentine’s day fic rec
Posting this a bit early, but in honor of the holiday, I thought I’d rec my favorite wolfstar fics that are based around valentines, because tooth rotting fluff always cheers me up <3
always, without falling by beespiesandplaid
For the past three years, Remus has received anonymous valentines gifts that have made no sense. On the fourth year, things fall into place.
- sirius pining and remus being oblivious is my absolute favorite wolfstar trope
valentine’s in hogsmeade by showmeyourtardis
Sirius Black has a problem, and it comes in the shape of the Ravenclaw Head Boy that keeps kissing Remus Lupin. Meanwhile, Lily Evans also has a problem when a rumour appears stating she was snogging someone in the corridor and somehow finds its way to James Potter.
- this one’s a bit longer, but it’s just so good oh my god. I absolutely live for jealous sirius, and the side jily adds on to the perfection.
a matchmaking mission by downn_in_flames
James Potter has a mission: get Sirius Black and Remus Lupin to finally admit that they both fancy the pants off each other by Valentine's Day.
- this one is a modern, non magic AU, where james and sirius are roommates with lily and remus, and they’re all oblivious, pining idiots and it’s adorable.
sirius black, valentine’s disaster extraordinaire by quietuniverse
Sirius Black belatedly realizes that he's in love with Remus Lupin and stages an elaborate Valentine's Day full of surprises (that most certainly do not backfire—not at all.)
- again, pining sirius will always be my favorite.
rumour has it by pixelated
Valentine’s Day is approaching. The boys are making plans. Remus is pining.
- this has to be one of my favorite fics ever, the mutual pining (!!) and the fluff are just too much
the wolf wants what it wants by habekerhooligan
Someone is leaving chocolate bars on Remus' bed. At the same time, Sirius has been acting distant. Remus works on his relationship with his best friend while worrying that he has a secret admirer, whose heart he'll have to break. After all, who would want a werewolf? Set in Year Six.
- once again, pining sirius and oblivious remus, what more do i have to say?
one heart by cottonpadenthusiast
Remus hates Valentine's Day. He has always been alone and this year is no different. With the whole of Gryffindor tower at the Valentine's party, Remus feels more alone than ever and the slight problem of being in love with Sirius Black seems ever more present on a day like today.
- this one is pretty short, but i’m a sucker for pining and a fluffy ending
lingua florum by phantomwriter
Flowers are a common theme with Sirius recently.
- pining sirius trying to express his feelings with flowers is just too much
james potter and the valentine’s day charade by channeltheflannel
*discontinued*
It's the sappiest season of them all, and James is determined to take advantage of it to finally win over Lily. She's not having any of it, of course.
So, in the face of rejection, James comes up with a brilliant plan to woo her....
Step 1: Fake-date Sirius.
Step 2: Pay Remus to fake-date Lily.
Step 3: Reap the rewards.
- the miscommunication between them all is too much, oh my god (heads up, this is still ongoing it’s actually been abandoned, sorry)

Hi can you do draco x hufflepuff reader where they met on the first day of hogwarts and became best friends then had crushes on one another??? It can be head cannons or like a story idc I just wanna feed my hufflepuff heart
Aye! A fellow hufflepuff! Hi there!
There you were. You had made it to hogwarts
You had been anxious that whole day.
See no one was really there to show you how to go about things, especially with that brick wall.
Your parents both were muggles, they had noooo fucking idea how any of this worked
All they knew is that you had a lot of weird moments as a kid
Mostly glass shattering during tantrums or things levitating on their own
Then they got this letter and woman showing up explaining "Look, your kid's a wizard."
So they were like "Ohhhh see that explains things!"
Sure, Mcgonagall helped your family when they had questions but Mcgonagall wasn't there now
But this one kid saw you wandering aimlessly.
"Hi." He said with a grumble after Narcissa recognized that lost look.
You turned around and Draco's heart was like "Oh... Oh no. Oh I'm feeling things for this person."
"Are you... Uhm... Here for... The platform?" You asked.
"Yes. Actually my mother sent me over here because you looked confused" he said.
"Oh! Oh thank God." You said with relief.
So he told you to run through it.
You thought he was joking until he ran through it.
So you followed.
Steam hit your face immediately and you were coughing.
"Wow that's brisk." You coughed.
Draco held back a snort.
You sat with him on the train and he finally introduced yourself.
"I'm Y/n by the way."
"Draco Malfoy." He said with a nod.
"That's... Kind of a cool name." You said.
Something in his gut told him "oh she's definitely not a Slytherin."
"What house are you hoping for?" He asked curiously.
"What?" You asked.
"Hogwarts house? The ones for the school?" He said.
"...There are houses for this?" You asked.
So he explained all of this to you.
He seemed to take great pride in Slytherin
You were just curious.
You stuck with Draco for the most part and some other kids who knew who he was.
"So. How do you not know anything about the wizarding world?" Draco finally asked.
"Neither of my parents are wizards"
Crabbe and Goyle nearly choked on air and Draco seemed to be having some sort of episode.
"What?" You asked.
"You're a mudblood?" He asked.
"It's not like I can control my genetics. And I know enough about the wizarding world to know that is offensive so could you not call me that!?" You said defensively.
That's when it clicked.
"She's a hufflepuff." He thought.
He didn't realize how right he was until you were sorted.
There was this one kid, she was spunky as fuck.
It was her last year there but she seemed to be excited to have someone new in the house.
Her name was Nymphadora but she loved "Tonks"
She was basically your big sister from this point on.
She showed you around with Cedric, she introduced you to new people, she even told you some secrets about the school.
That's when you noticed another group.
This one kid with glasses that NO ONE would shut the fuck up about.
You didn't officially talk to him until you ran into him
Literally. You ran into him after class one day.
"I'm so sorry, I wasn't watching where I was going!" You said.
"It's okay, I wasn't paying attention either." He said reassuringly.
You introduced yourself and Ron introduced himself too.
Two new friends gained.
Course this pissed Draco off.
Because of course you thought Harry was cool.
Truth be told you had no fucking idea why he was famous.
But Draco decided to confront you while you studied.
"Hi draco." You said looking up.
"I see you're spending time with Potter." He said, his voice clearly annoyed.
"Yeah. So?" You asked.
"So? What are you trying to gain?" He asked.
"...Does unconditional friendship and support count?" You asked confused.
"I'm serious. Is it the fame?" He asked.
"... Harry's famous?" You asked.
"... You've got to be kidding me!"
So Draco told you what he knew.
But now you just felt bad.
"Wait so how am I a bad guy here?" You asked.
"What?" Draco asked.
"I've befriended a kid who's family is dead and his aunt and uncle are abusive. And I'm a bad guy because I just want him to feel safe?" You asked.
You did know about his Aunt and Uncle from Harry. You never even met these people and you hated them.
But shit. When you put it like that now Draco felt like an asshole.
You sighed and got up.
"Y/n." He called.
You turned around confused.
"...Can you introduce me to Harry?" He finally asked.
So you did.
Course Ron wasn't too thrilled about Draco hanging out with you guys.
But then the boys discovered that they had a lot in common and it was game over
Tonks really enjoyed seeing you get excited over it all.
Draco was more bearable too
You were like a friendship matchmaker though, especially after you met Hermione.
You both ended up studying together after all of the tables in the library had been occupied.
You thought "See she gets it!"
You both tended to study because it beat doing muggle homework.
Halloween rolled around and Ron said something mean about Hermione.
"Ron! Shut up!" You said after Hermione ran past you in tears.
You ran after her and calmed her down before uhm
Troll in the dungeon?
Draco's common room was in the dungeon so naturally Slytherin had to be moved.
He was walking with the boys when they all realized : "OH SHIT Y/N'S NOT WITH US"
so they all went looking for you when they found the troll.
You had your back against the wall and was of course panicked because you were face to face with a troll and you were eleven.
"Hermione." You whimpered.
"We're doomed." She said.
Draco ran in with the boys and saw the predicament
Well shit.
Thanks to Ron's spell the troll was handled
Course you all got in trouble because you were supposed to be in your common rooms.
Draco was just glad you were safe.
You and the boys celebrated Christmas together, your mom mailing you a polaroid camera to you.
The boys (except Harry) were mesmerized and took a ton of pictures together.
You had a ton of Tonks and Cedric
Then there was this whole thing with the Philosopher's stone and you and Draco were basically having to lie left and right.
"Mcgonagall wants to know if you know who froze Neville?"
"Waaahhhttt someone froze Neville that's wild guys. Really wild."
So other fun fact: Draco's a terrible liar.
When they all came back though oh boy.
The school year was coming to a close and you all agreed to write to each other.
Draco had this one really weird rule though.
If you were to spot him with his parents pretend like you don't know him.
According to Draco, his father wasn't a big fan of him hanging out with people outside of Slytherin.
So when summer started Tonks actually spent a lot of it with you, showing you and your parents the wizarding world.
You loved hanging out with her and she honestly did love you like a little sister.
When school started again though, you promised her you'd write to her about it all.
She was the one who dropped you off at King's Cross that year btw
The next year started and you all sat with each other on the train.
"I just don't see why you need a house elf! It seems barbaric!" Hermione said.
Draco immediately noticed you and smile, moving so you could sit next to him.
You did.
"What's a house elf?" You asked.
"A magical creature who assists wizards." Draco said.
"Unwillingly. They treat them like animals." Hermione griped.
"why are we talking about this?" You asked.
"Because our house elf apparently decided to pay Harry a visit." Draco said with a sigh.
"He said something big was happening this year." Harry admitted.
"If it's bigger than a troll, we might be screwed."
News flash: It was.
Things took a bad turn when Draco knew exactly what the chamber of secrets meant.
Oh God he was SO anxious that entire year.
It didn't help when you ended up petrified
Hermione was almost petrified but you managed to scream "RUN" before you were
He was not a fan of Gilderoy.
He actually called him a "pompous ass" when he acted like baby in the chamber of secrets
When you woke up you found out all about the insane adventure and was like "Dude. Next one, count me in"
The next summer rolled around and you again, spent it with Tonks.
Except this time you and Tonks went to the borrow.
Fred and George fucking LOVED Tonks.
You had these strange interactions with Ron's rat though.
It's like it could understand you.
You would sit at the breakfast table and read the paper right before the wonderful owl that delivered mail would come literally crashing through.
Poor uncoordinated bastard.
Draco was the first to alert the group "uh hey guys. There's kind of a convict on the loose."
None have you had seen Draco over the summer. his parents were great. Just fucking super.
So when you did see him again your heart nearly beat out of your chest.
He dropped the whole "hair slacked back" thing and went natural and it just made you very attracted to him.
Draco noticed a few new things about you
You were taller, and really fucking pretty.
The train ride was not a fun one, you being there crammed on the damn thing with some sleeping dude.
So instead of Harry being attacked by a dementor it was you.
You had a panic attack afterwards, freaking out as the now very much awake Remus talked you through it.
He gave you chocolate and automatically you were like "...this dude is gonna be awesome."
And boy were you right, because he was your favorite professor that year.
Harry seemed to be really paranoid about the dementors though.
A lot more than you were.
He didn't know why yet, but he knew that Sirius had to have some involvement with him.
So Buckbeak. You fucking loved this creature.
Draco however was an idiot.
He stumbled after Goyle pushed him forward into Buckbeak's personal space
Buckbeak almost attacked but you intervened and calmed him down immediately.
"Buckbeak! Eyes on me!" You called.
Buckbeak looked at you but still made attempts to stare at Draco.
"No. Eyes here! Now." You called.
"I'm a friend. See?" You said bowing.
Buckbeak bowed to you and Draco's heart did a whole ass backflip.
You all did notice hermione popping up when she most definitely wasn't there before though
"How does this even work--" "You carry the five" "CHRIST WHERE THE FUCK DID YOU COME FROM!?"
Draco and you did spend a lot of time together.
Course he wasn't the biggest fan of Cedric being around when he was in the Hufflepuff common room.
But you honestly saw Cedric as your brother. And he saw you as a little sister. So. Ew.
Draco didn't know this though.
Then came the lesson on Boggarts and oh boy.
Your boggart was very strange but clearly affected you.
The boggart was you.
You quite honestly were afraid of what you were capable of.
When you were a child you would make things shatter around you, sometimes injuring your parents.
Sure the injuries were minor, but it didn't stop you from feeling guilty after you found out you were the cause.
You were terrified that if one day you snapped now that you were officially trained and more powerful, it'd be a whole lot more destructive.
So yes, you were terrified of yourself.
Remus handled it and Draco pulled you back asking if you were okay.
You kept to yourself for a while. The boggart brought up those anxieties all over again and you were paranoid you'd make something go wrong.
Draco was not having that though and confronted you about it.
You talked it through with him and he assured you that if something ever went wrong he'd make sure that it'd be okay
So from that point on you two were inseparable.
Hogsmeade was honestly the best
Snowball fights and piggyback rides
You laughing as Harry managed to sneak in on the trip, scaring the fuck out of Ron.
Draco giving you his scarf when you got cold.
The group going "Oh. Oh they're totally in love"
Then Harry found out that Sirius black was friends with his parents.
And the leading cause of death of his parents.
You basically vowed that if you ever came across this fucker you'd probably punch him.
Then Lucius found out about Buckbeak.
And oh boy.
That did not blow over well
You called Lucius an "Asshole". To his face.
Hermione came up with a plan and FINALLY revealed "Hey I have a time turner"
You were like "YOU COULD NOT HAVE TOLD ME THIS BEFORE I CALLED THAT VERY TERRIFYING MAN AN 'ASSHOLE'!?"
So you went on a rescue mission
It was an emotional rollercoaster
At one point you were convinced that Harry's dad was alive.
Just to find out that Harry could produce a bright ass patronus.
Then you're discovered your favorite professor was housing a convict.
Then you had a panic reaction and punched the convict.
Just to find out that he was innocent and that Ron's rat was actually guilty.
Then when the actual guilty party was revealed and tried to run you discovered that your favorite professor is a goddamn werewolf.
But hey, Harry now had a godfather!
The next summer came along and Tonks picked you up from King's Cross and met Remus
She couldn't stop staring and neither could Remus.
Immediately you knew something was going to happen there.
The summer was spent listening to Tonks go on and on about this guy who used to be your professor.
Which: you were used to listening to weird shit because there were some girls who did have a thing for Snape.
But you knew way too much about Remus to ever find anything attractive about him.
Anyways: SUMMER!!!
Which again was spent at the Burrow
This time you all ended up going to the World Quidditch game.
When you saw Draco there you had to hide excitement because Lucius was there and-- Holy shit did he get more terrifying-- HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE!?
Draco still found ways to talk to you though
Cedric noticed the smiles and the glances at each other
The whole group noticed.
It was hard not to when you had that smile that could light up a fucking room on your face.
Fred and George would tease you relentlessly.
But Draco managed to sneak off to you guys and hung out after the game.
Y'know. Right before it went to shit
You all managed to escape but you got separated from Draco and was anxious the entire fucking time
Then he snuck out and went to the burrow and you hugged him
It was the first time you two ever really showed affection to each other.
Especially since Draco was giving you this kind of hug that made you melt into his arms
Molly and Arthur were like "They're in love." Immediately.
He stayed for dinner before having to leave
"So. How long have you had a crush on him?" Fred asked.
"What?" You asked.
"Come on. No one looks at someone that way and doesn't have a crush on them." George said.
The thought of you having a crush on him actually never crossed your mind.
But then they said that and now it was the only thing you could think about.
Which made the next time you saw Draco very... Jumpy.
"Hi." He said as you were reading on the train which scared you so bad your book was unintentionally launched at Harry's head.
Then at the feast he sat next to you and asked if you were okay after you blushed so intensely he thought you were running a fever.
You knocked over your drink.
We can begin to notice that you are a lot more clumsier than usual.
I mean yeah you were always clumsy but this is a whole new range of clumsy.
Then the schools were introduced and Draco whispered in your ear making you nearly scream.
Fred and George were watching these interactions on the verge of pissing themselves
They knew damn well that they were the cause of your nervousness.
Pt 2 coming soon.
