alternatively: john going into the tomb a few years later only to find a teenager snogging the frozen corpse of his girlfriend. still adopts her though
Ok this is the best scenario. I accept this I love this. "Are you and Ianthe being safe" except it's 'do not kiss strange corpses'
Someone needs to write fic of it.

i'm VERY keen to read the mycologist's wife poem you keep talking about, but google turns up nothing? could you point me in the right direction? x
Hi! the mycologist's wife is a trio of poems I wrote a couple years ago; they're published online in Love & Squalor, a college literary magazine. Here is the link to that issue's writing, I'm under o. captain. At some point I might make some pdf version available on itch.io, but I'm not quite sure yet! hoping to maybe make physical chapbooks available.

6 and 11? x
(from the book asks)
6 (what i read this month) - March was a strong month for me books wise! I read Witchcraft and the Gay Counterculture by Arthur Evans (has some powerful, interesting and relevant ideas, if held back by some discredited scholarship), The Lathe of Heaven by Ursula K. Le Guin (damn my girl ursula can write! hit it out of the park as usual. very antipsych), H is for Hawk by Helen Macdonald (it was poetic and tender), The Power of Cute by Simon May (dude kinda has no idea what hes talking about in some cases but the stuff about cute/grotesque was interesting), Liarmouth by John Waters (it's... A Lot), and Where'd You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple (surprisingly funny! we love family drama!)
11 (non fiction books i enjoy) - Oh I love nonfiction! I try to read about 50% nonfiction each year but I find I'm usually more in the mood for it in the summer. Some recs include: The Great Beanie Baby Bubble by Zac Bissonette (pure investigative journalism and a WILD story. camp.), The Tragedy of Heterosexuality by Jane Ward (it really is so sad), essentially anything by David Graeber (changed how i see the world, may he rest in peace), and recently this history of textiles called The Fabric of Civilization which was just fascinating. I could keep going, theres so many, these are just the first few that came to mind

"are you and ianthe being safe" as if sex with ianthe wouldn't involve intriguingly creative body horror and increasingly closer brinks of death as a matter of course
I still think that when Ianthe threatened to remove Camilla's arms and legs in NtN it was partly really freaky foreplay. She's just like that :')

favourite lazy meal that looks fancy but really isn't? x
oooo probably this prawn garlic linguine i make sometimes! looks and tastes incredible but takes about 5 minutes of effort if even that. white wine, butter, garlic, parmesan, prawns, linguine, bish bash bosh. used to eat that all the time when i felt like being a bit fancy
edit: voila! though apparently i did underestimate the prep time

Cryptidcore Starterpack: The Guide
Tumblr media
Notes: I'm gonna be leaning into Cryptozoology with this one, just a heads up :)
Enjoy part two!
I cannot stress this enough, GO OUTSIDE. How are you gonna track cryptids if you don't actively look for them?
Get a binder so you can add pages to your research journal
KEEP TRACK OF LOCAL EVENTS. Cryptid sightings, paranormal sightings, local mysteries, ect.
Find a hagstone near a body of water, it's a stone with a natural hole through it. In Celtic folklore, when you look though the hagstone(also known as a witchstone), you can see fae folk and other worldly entities. (I did not write all the info here, please do research for yourself if you'd like to)
Explore abandoned places and look for clues. Also in forests, but be safe about it.
Also- just going on a flat roof and making blanket forts with the FLUFFIEST blankets with a lantern is just- 🤌🤌
Moths.
Finds some books on this, "The United States of Cryptids- J.W. Ocker", "Cryptozoology A to Z- Loren Coleman" and "Cursed Objects- J.W. Ocker" are some good ones
Maybe find some friends who are into Cryptidcore too
But remember,
Most weird shit happens in Ohio
Update: Please check out my most recent post it's very important
