So I've been drawing an OC once every day, it's been three weeks so I'm gonna start sharing them, some are more thought out then others and there's a point where I stop digitally drawing them and just say fuck it.
First is Alpine, A pure Skywing, he was born missing one of his back legs, he is currently engaged to two of his best friends.
Next Paperbark, she is a painter living on one of the Islands in between Pantala and Pyrrhia, she lives with a roommate
Island is one of the princes of the Seawings, he doesn't really have too much of a personality other then he's a good brother.
Next up is Sparkling, he's a pure Sandwing with distant Rain heritage, him and his half brother were raised in a crime family, to get away they faked their deaths, he know runs a small bar in a town (man's also has 3 husbands)
Chinchilla, one part of a group of three assassin's, he's Albino usually mistaken for a Ice hybrid, he's smaller then most and uses knives mostly
Isopod a Silk/Sea hybrid, she's Paperbarks roommate and the first dragon born on one of the in between islands, she's a jewellery maker and is the best on the island
Startrapper the adopted princess of the rain kingdom, she loves to invent things
First, not digital is Sapote, A Leaf/rain hybrid, he lives with his boyfriend and his half brother.
Now Fridge, he's not to thought out he travels a lot, he's chill
And finally Lemur, she's apart of the same crime family as Sparkling and is Sparklings half brothers half sister, she's fine with taking over the family business.
Like the art I reblogged, Darkstalker that is mostly an Icewing! He still has animus power and maybe Nightwing abilities but he wants to be a full Icewing. Could completely change his dynamic with his father! He could also be on the side of the Icewings so I imagine things would change with his relationship with Clearsight and all the Nightwings.
Whiteout I imagine being mostly the same personality wise though she may not view her family the same way since the dynamic would change with Darkstalker's behavior. Her colors and features would be swapped too.
Sunny! Just think about it! They think they're gonna hatch a sandwing and out comes this strange Nightwing! This could alter the DoD, maybe they'd send her back to Thorn or maybe to the Nightwing island to grow up, or maybe they'd send Starflight back! Depending on how much her features swap maybe she'd have a stinger on her tail, though that would make her hybridization more obvious and they'd probably her rid of her as a DoD.
(Also would the Nightwing island even exist!?!? Maybe it would become an Icewing island or maybe it wouldn't be known about since Darkstalker probably would actively be helping the Icewings. Maybe there wouldn't be any Nightwings!?!?!?)
Also other minor hybrid characters and their roles in the story could change. Maybe this would change the Hivewings appearances considering they're descended from hybrids essentially.
imma just rant about my wof hybrid ocs i have that i have yet to draw but still love with all my heart- it's long so prepare yourself to view my ramblings after the cut
wildfire (she/her), a leaf/sky gal with firescales. she's got a sage green body with a deep green underbelly that slowly fades from red, to orange, to yellow. her eyes are bright blue and she's got wings in between that skywing shape and that leafwing shape. her wings are deep red that fades to a coal black at the edges as if they were charred, and she's got splotches of fire colors all over her body. the formation at the end of her tail that looks a lot like a leaf on normal leafwings looks like fire on her.
desert rose (she/it), a sand/rain girlie. she's got both venom and a stinging tail, but both are weaker than normal. her body scales are a pale, sandy color like most sandwings, and her underbelly is a dull pink. her sail a similar, yet darker than her underbelly. she's got a mix of bright orange and deep pink freckles on her wings, nose, talons, and legs. instead of her stinging tail getting darker at the end, hers gets lighter and pinker, with the actual stinger being orange, her frills are a similar color. her eyes are a deep, dusty shade of green that looks similar to moss. she wears a lot of jewelry, most being silver and obsidian.
dawnkeeper (he/him) and duskbreaker (he/they), night/sky boys that are complete opposites and also twins! dawnkeeper has a mostly skywing look, a slender body yet a small size. his colors are pale and muted, yet he has pinks, oranges, and deep purples with hints of blue. he is also piebald, with cloud-like splotches over parts of his body. his eyes are a deep red and he often keeps to himself. duskbreaker has a larger, stockier build moreso like a nightwing, yet a long neck. his wings are large and deep, dusty purple with faint star-like and constellation-like patterns on them. he a mostly black and purple body, and has hints of blue on him, most are accompanies by oranges and pinks. his eyes are pale blue and shimmer in the sunlight. like dawnkeeper, he is quiet and often alone, yet is better at sneaking away from social situations.
last but not least.....
abyss (it/he/they) and trench (they/them)! these guys are conjoined twin sea/night fuckheads. they have a deep purple body with pale navy back scales. they have bright cyan, nearly white, bioluminescent scales but fewer than a pure seawing. they also have bioluminescent teardrop scales next to their eyes, but do not show evidence of being able to read minds or see into the future. the only reliable way to differentiate them is their eyes. their scleras are black, but abyss has bright lavender eyes and trench has baby blue eyes. their tail is shorter and less maneuverable than a seawing's, like a nightwing's is, which makes swimming a bit harder but not too bad as they still have webbed talons.
Plan to do more wof background/secondary characters later. I got some suggestions from my server, and hope to do them, but if anyone has ideas. (Not doing protagonists, they have enough art for now)
I fantasized a little about what one of the first children of the Clearsight and Sunstrike could be like.
The dragonets are not related to the canonical ones mentioned in the book, here I was just thinking about the design.
Pantala dragons are quite different from Pyrrhyans, and because of this, it seems to me that the first cubs could turn out to be either deformed or with some mutations, defects. I also took into account that the genes in the wof are mainly from the mother, and my own design of beetlewings.
First Dragonet
He is devoid of any abilities, he does not have star scales and antennae have not grown, in the future there will be a very thick horn on his forehead, some scales have not grown evenly and fall off from the general group.
The second Dragonet:
He has grown a second pair of small wings that prevent him from flying, but he is trying to learn. Small wings don't move well. It also turned out to be a dirty color.
And the third one:
He was born under two full moons, but cannot perceive other dragon's thoughts in words, sees only pictures that often confuse him. Mutated horns with growths and too small wings, with large wing elytras, most likely he will not be able to fly. There is a poisonous thorn on the tail.
