Kimetsu no Yaiba Stage Play Act 4: Entertainment District Infiltration report

10 December 2023, 18:00 show, Tokyo Dome City Hall

Went on a getaway to Japan right after internship ended and watched kny stage play bcus it’s my current fixation (especially Tengen 😭)

The report will mostly be comments on the actors’ singing and acting because I assume everyone has watched entertainment district arc but I’ll just write whatever is fitting with the event

Report with pictures of what I could get (not much) under cut

1. Arrived at Tokyo Dome City Hall from Roppongi after lunch with friend and went to the Tokyo Revengers Last Line exhibition at Roppongi Mori Tower around 4:30 pm bcus the show I bought starts at 6 pm and queue opens at 5. I arrived early to exchange my online ticket with a physical one (this is required and was mentioned early in the website upon purchasing the ticket)

2. Lined up and redeemed my ticket. Went inside to find my area seat written in the ticket (balcony 1, row 7, seat 79) and at this point I was conflicted if I should buy merch first or just wait until the end 😭😭😭😭😭 I‘ve never been to this place before so I went to look for my seat first. They don’t let you in until 15 minutes before show starts so we had to wait at the lobby

3. While waiting for the show to start, I gave out my muscle mice stickers that I just cut and wrote a small message at the back last night to the people that sat beside me. A seat to my left were two lovely couple from Canada. They reached out to me on Instagram a couple of days after the show 💕 and a seat to my right were two friends that went to see the show together. They were lovely as well 💜 I’m so happy that people seem to like the stickers

4. Before the show starts, they let us take pictures but not videos of the stage. It’s super pretty!!!

I love that they decided the ensembles to come out, walk around and interact with each other. Like a real entertainment district

5. The show starts with an opening number from all of the casts. The story starts from when Tengen captured Aoi and another butterfly mansion helper to help him with his mission. That scene was showed through a screen. THEN BAM TENGEN MY BELOVED?!!!??! he’s so… he really is flashy in real life I fr couldn’t take my eyes off him 😭😭😭😭 OK SEE u know Tengen’s headband right? When the spotlight hits, it shines and dazzles a lot I’m so. IDK LIKE IM SPEECHLESS I GUESS never thought it would look that way (ITS PRETY) he also runs with his arms behind he’s so cute 😭💙 stage play Tengen ponytail is longer than manga/anime and that made him look cute too… (u can tell that I just looked at him whenever he’s on stage HAHAAH)

6. Sending off the Kamaboko team to work! Tengen in his yukata… pretty… the wig he wore for both uniform and yukata is really soft??? Like when he runs, his hair bounces ☁️ anyway, Kamaboko team so funny I love them sm 😭🫶 everyone clapped to Zenitsu shamisen rush play! That was fun hehe

7. Muzan comes in to see Daki. The song that the actor sang was pretty catchy and his voice is sooooo so GOOD!!!!!! Genuinely speechless. The scene where okami confronts Daki was so cool. Yknow that Daki flew above and dropped her from a height right? They used the screen to show that she was in the sky and when she dropped okami, the background showed those rush lines when she falls. I think it’s a creative way to show that! This also was done similarly when Inosuke went chasing Daki’s obi after it captured Makio in her room. Inosuke was actually running in the same spot but facing different directions along with the background. Making it look like he’s running chasing the obi in the walls

8. Ooohhhh the scene where Tengen came from behind the owner asking him about Warabi Hime’s whereabouts was so 👁️🫦👁️ then moved to when Inosuke calling the muscle mice to bring his nichirin. THE MUSCLE MICE REAL AND THEY TALK HAHAGAHSJJF yea they had 2 ensembles in black with muscle mice on their hands on the floor bringing Inosuke’s nichirin 😭😭😭😭 IT WAS SO CUTE?!!?! The song Koinatsu sang when Tanjiro is leaving the brothel was really nice ;;; bittersweet bcus she’s also leaving for someone that is willing to marry her but she’s also worried for the people she’s leaving behind the brothel 😔

9. The scene when Tengen found Hinatsuru ill and gave her an antidote… god I wish that were me… it might be just me liking the character too much but it somehow feels different in stage play than when ure reading the manga/watching the anime. Moved to Inosuke getting underground finding the obi’s nest of victims. The obi with people inside were shown through the screen. Inosuke spins while waving his swords around to cut and free the victims. There were ensembles in black moving the obi around. Very pretty! Like those gymnasts with ribbons!!! THE SCEEEENEEEEEE THE SCENE WHEN TENGEN COMES AND MET UP WITH SUMA AND MAKIO AAWHWHABWJEJFN 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭🫶🫶🫶 god I wish that were me!!!! (2) Tengen patting their heads was the cutest 😭💕

10. The fight scenes for a stage play were executed very well by using extra ensembles and the screen at the back. So, Tanjiro fighting Daki. Nezuko woke up and fought her. She beat Daki up and went berserk. Tanjiro sang a lullaby to calm her down and there they were, the mom with little Nezuko at the back as demon Nezuko reminiscence the past. Tanjiro actor’s singing is so good… I could listen to him sing all day 😳

The show then entered 20 minutes break and continued with the second half. I took the chance to buy merch at this time lol

Only able to get Tengen pin and the others were mostly dupes of Inosuke, Daki and Obanai… planning to sell them soon 😭

11. Gyuutaro appeared from Daki’s back. I love the Shabana sibling actors so so much??? 😭😭😭 they were soooo good acting as the demons!!! I couldn’t get enough. Honestly when Gyuutaro uses his sickles, it kinda look like crab waving its claws… 😭 one of Gyuutaro’s moves was his spinning blood move right? The ensembles in black come out with props spinning it around like those spinning blood move. It was so cool I was so amazed by that lmao Gyuutaro’s singing was top notch 👌👌👌 my absolute fav

12. Y’all… the scene when Hinatsuru came to shoot her kunais at Gyuutaro and everything went slo-mo, they really went slo-mo 😭 when Gyuutaro grabbed Hina by the face… that stirred something in me ngl at that moment came the flashback to when Tengen tells his wives to value their lives first then him, that song was cute. I felt the impact more during stage play. He really loves his wives equally and very much 💙💜🧡 Tengen’s siblings also appeared on stage during the flashback. Definitely didn’t expect that at all! It was very nice

13. Moving on to Kamaboko vs Daki. They made it into a number and while Inosuke was singing, Daki was at the back dancing 💃 I swear I love her so much. They made the stage play so funny and entertaining 😭👏 when Inosuke successfully cut Daki’s head, they had her actor wrapped in black cloth and Inosuke was holding it instead of just a dummy head. Inosuke then said we’re gonna run far now to Daki which wasn’t in the original and he said that so that Daki actor would be ready to run. Everyone in the hall laughed at that 😭😭😭😭😭😭

14. I can’t quite remember well the fight scenes but Tengen still had his left eye and arm fighting Gyuutaro until the end lol the fight with Gyuutaro and Daki until both of their heads were cut off were intense 🫨 lots of flashing lights and stuff were everywhere. It was cool

15. The Shabana siblings’ laid under rubble to hide their bodies so that only their heads could be seen. Gyuutaro’s past was so heart wrenching to watch. Demon Gyuutaro was even there to see his kid self being bullied and abused, demon Gyuutaro tried to stop those people away but he was just looking at his memory so the rocks still hits his kid self AND GOD THAT WAS SO PAINFUL TO WATCH. He hugged his kid self aa… demon Gyuutaro was also there to see his sister being burnt alive… AGAIN… 😭 I can’t get those scenes out of my head. It was so good, I cried along with everyone else ;;;; the part where kid Gyuutaro tried to call for help for his sister, demon Gyuutaro joined in the line and that made me welled up so badly 😭😭😭😭😭

16. In manga/anime, Daki changed to her kid self but in stage play, she was in her demon form when she begged to her brother to let her follow him. Gyuutaro carried Daki on his back to hell :( they finally cut off Tengen’s hand during the aftermath 😭😭😭 Suma actor was so cute when she yelled at Nezuko for burning her husband alive LMAOAOAAO

Show ended, everyone clapped for the casts and ensembles. Standing ovation and the casts came out for a short comment. The time slot that I went to was the last day and last show

My thoughts/comments

Everyone acted in character and tried to be as close as possible to source. It was such an amazing experience 😭👏 this was actually my first time went to see a stage play so I didn’t have any expectations at all.

If you guys like a series and have the chance to go for their stage play, please go!!

I was genuinely 50/50 at first bcus I know I did this for my stupidly big fixation on Tengen. My friend who’s studying there really liked BSD watched the stage play live online and she really recommended me to go for it. I’m glad I went to watch it honestly 😭

Hi, if possible, could I request Little Douma and Daki with Cg Gyutaro? If possible, could it be a scenario where Daki and Gyutaro don't know that Douma regresses, but Douma ends up regressing whilst trying to help Gyutaro look after Daki whilst she was regressed, and he also ends up regressing? Sorry if this was too specific, and of course, you do not have to write this if you do not want to.

Ok I hope this meets ur needs!! It’s less of a “omg he regresses??” and more so a natural evolution because I think Gyutaro wouldn’t be too surprised if he’s already familiar with Daki + I think ot suits Douma’s personality lol

“You’re supposed to be helping watch her, not making messes too!” Gyutaro has always been a bit of a stickler for the rules. His rules at least. The man is happy to let Daki break whatever rules he sees as useless but the moment she crosses some arbitrary line he reins her in.

Douma never cared for much of that. He has little constraint as it is, when he’s allowed to indulge he does so happily. Currently he’s helping Daki spread paint over the walls.

“It’s a lot more funner like this though! And I think Daki-chan would agree right?”

“Yea! He lets me do whatever I want instead.”

The two laugh in unison. Douma draws a very squiggly figure with sharp teeth and messy hair that’s probably meant to be Gyutaro.

His snarl deepens. “Ah but now you’ve gotten her nice kimono all dirty, and it’s hard to get paint out.” With Gyutaro it’s always hard to tell if he’s being spiteful or genuine. Most of the time it’s a strange combination of both.

Pausing the girl looks down at the delicate silk over her front. There’s smears over the folds and where the sleeves sometimes slip over her hands. The paint is a bold green against the purple fabric. Almost immediately tears well up in her eyes. Like a tsunami her sadness engulfs the room immediately. “Douma-sama! Why would you d-do that. This was my, my favorite one an’ now it’s all ruined!” Her voice goes up three octaves as sobs bubble up between her words.

For all his faults the blond does look genuinely sorry. He tries to soothe Daki, offering to buy her new clothes, but she’s decided that this one is irreplaceable. Though there’s likely a dozen other that look nearly identical sitting in her large dresser her mind is hyper-focused on the now.

It’s easy for Gyutaro to soothe her. He makes soft promises until she’s no longer screaming. “This is why we gotta listen to the rules ok? Next time are you gonna listen?”

Daki still sounds rather sullen as she delivers a quiet, “yes.”

“Why don’t we change our clothes and then we can have a nap.”

“Okay.”

He picks the girl up, turning around to find Douma. When the man isn’t immediately in sight he frowns. After circling the room he places his sister back down. “Wait here for a second.” Before she can complain he’s already stepping away.

Climbing upwards he pushes his way into the attic. It’s the most obvious spot unless Douma wants to be accosted by hordes of curious women. (Which on second thought it does sound like something he’d enjoy.) The blond os spread out in the corner. His face is almost melting into the rough wood flooring.

With little care Gyutaro nudges the man’s side with his foot. In return he receives a very petulant, “go away.”

“Stop whining, you were the one making a mess.”

“I was jus’ having fun!” When Douma sits up his face is an usual splotchy red. It’s unusual for him at least, Daki often sports the look shortly before any of her tantrums. “I don’t see why you always have to make me look bad.” His tone lacks any of its typical cheeriness.

“We can have fun but that doesn’t mean we can break rules either.” Gyutaro crouches down to get on the man’s level. “And if you wanna keep coming over you gotta listen too.”

“…Okay.”

Grateful for his demonic strength the younger man scoops Douma into his arms. Immediately his mood brightens. “Oh I’ve never been carried before! Well, once ‘kaza-dono did, but that was only so he could throw me after. But this is much nicer-”

“And you gotta be quiet too because I’m gonna make Daki nap.”

In a poorly hushed tone he continues. “You didn’t say me though! So I get to keep playing right? I’ll even follow the rules, well most of them anyways.”

“All of them,” Gyutaro insists. There’s no room for argument in his voice but Douma attempts anyways.

“I’ll try! I’m not very good at ‘membering things though. And technically I’m still higher ranked than you so if I wanted to I could-“

“Stop raising your voice!”

When they enter the room again Daki has changed (not into pajamas, instead haphazardly putting on another kimono that isn’t tied well) and is eagerly waiting their arrival. “I don’t wanna go to bed anymore! If you guys are playing then I am too.”

Before Gyutaro can shut down the idea Douma is suggesting dozens of games and the two are all riled up. He’s not sure if he’ll survive the night.

synopsis: aomine daki, the great basketballer player at your university is your boyfriend! how is it like to have aomine as your boyfriend though? and how does he act with you? (get ready for this-)

Once Aomine is your boyfriend, get ready cause this guy will show off and flex a lot when it comes to you. Whenever you stay and watch his practices, he flexes a lot with his back muscle and he would turn around if YOU saw that. You are just sitting there, all blushed while covering your face, "Oh god, this idiot..."

Sometimes, the basketball club would invite student for 'Learning the basics of Basketball' and the first person he wants to invite is, of course, his girlfriend. While he is waiting for her, he would just sit in the bench and lots of people go to him for help, but he would ignore everyone and say he is tired and to leave him alone. But once he sees you, y/n, entering he is all energetic and comes running to you. "Aomine, let me change wait" , "But darling, I was waiting for like 10 minutes...you have to make up for that."

Once everyone leaves and its just you two, he gets all hyped up cause he loves it when you are alone with him. He gets extra clingy towards you and keeps on hugging you and you can feel his tensed muscular body. "Sweetheart, you looked amazing today."

Okay but this guy, would fuck up and beat any guy that even showed any sort of disrespect. He is not standing there with a glare or bumping into them if someone laughs, or says something mean to you. He will go up to that person and hold them up while saying "Okay, you started this. Come here." You have to stop him before he gets physical towards them, "Aomine! Stop!! They just said to me to move". "Yea, 'Move you', what the fuck is that? Asshole, learn some manners! Do you know who you even spoke to!"

This guy is smart, so he knows all your university spots, so don't be surprised if you see him out of nowhere. "Hey its that guy! He is always following you!" Kagami would yell out, "Fuck, you have some stalker Y/N" Kagami would say while glaring at him, he was your university best friend. "That's my b-boyfriend."

Your man will also buy you a lot of snacks, and if you say you skipped breakfast. He is dragging you to the university café and will force you to eat after he buys you food.

Oh my god, your boyfriend loves to tease you A LOT. Like there wont be a day he wont tease you. If you somehow changed up your hairstyle, he will make a huge scene. "No WAY! Sweetheart, you look so good! Wow, that's my GIRL! You all heard that??!"

Aomine makes you laugh like crazy, and there also wont be a day he wont make you laugh. He just loves it whenever he hears your beautiful laugh and small giggles, he founds it so cute and you really warm his heart whenever he hears that.

He will never forgive himself if he ever made you upset or cry. Aomine will probably think about it the whole day and he will keep spamming you "I'm sorry" multiple times. If you don't reply back, he would come to your lecture hall and he is gonna make a scene. "Y/N I SAID IM SORRY!"

You definitely boost his ego, like crazy. Whenever he feels low before a match he would call you and he just wants to hear his girlfriends voice motivating him. "Aomine, don't worry you got this! Besides, didn't you tell me the only one who can beat you...is you?" "Fuck, you are right. Darling, I'm gonna win this and I'll come and hug u after this match. Wait for 20 minutes" And he actually does it.

This guy sticks with his words, so if you tell him meet up at 2 pm. He is there at 2pm waiting for you. If he says he will do literally anything for you, he fucking will.

Once he got, really upset and emotional and he said to you during a call at midnight. "Y/N, Dont leave me like how everyone does.". You then recalled about him telling you about this past and how his old teammates left him, so you would say "I wont, I'm your girlfriend aren't I?" And he is up on his bed all hyped hearing that, "Can I see you now!" "Aomine it's 2am and I have a quiz tomorrow bye, shutting my phone love you!" But this guy wont leave you and spam you in EVERY social media. "Nice try, but I know you have discord on your laptop. Wait, I see you online I'm calling you now."

One time, he came to your huge lecture hall and he sat right next to you, and he would just turn and look at you, focusing on what you are doing, and play around with your stuff and hair. "Aomine, I am trying to focus!" You say all blushed and can't even write anything on your notebook. "Of course, cause you are focusing on me right? Sweetheart, I know, I know I am great." Now you wanna smack him.

Whenever he sees you, he gives you that hot smirk of his and it gives you butterflies. "Ha! Wow literally everything I do, you love it don't you?" . Y/N then turns to him and gives a small chuckle, "Don't get ahead of yourself, Aomine." He then goes near you and lays his arm on your shoulder, bring you closer and he would whisper to your ear "Why not? your my girl so, I want to impress you."

You both love it whenever you guys hold hands around university, this guy is really tall so you always feel so relaxed and also great when your boyfriend squeezes your hand, and walks you to your lecture. "Okay now try to focus on your lecture and not your mind all about me alright?"

He actually loves it when you cheer for him and that really boost not only his ego but rather his self-confidence. "Y/N! I'm gonna win this match for you!" He would yell out during the match and everyone is looking at you.

He would go for academic help for you sometimes and you guys meet up in the library to study. You are the reason he passed some subjects, don't get me wrong, he is intelligent but super lazy.

His wallpaper is a selfie of you both and he looks at that before every match. He sometimes pecks his phone when he finds a picture of you.

Speaking about his phone, this guy has a folder with just you, all your pictures, screenshots of chats, even screen records of your voice notes and videos. He just loves you dearly, and he gets so fucking mad if someone touches or even goes near that gallery. He protects that with all his life, your pictures are important and he is not the type of guy to show his friends your pictures, in fact he hates that! "My folder, my girl, and no one gets to see that. Go away."

Whenever he is bored or isn't doing nothing, he would open his phone, and check every social media app to see your online status. "Oh OH, I see you online darling! Answer me, wanna go out and get ice cream? Please say yes."

He is actually such a great motivator and brings your mood up whenever you feel like giving up during university. He won't allow that, like never. "What so you will just give up? Stop? After all this time, you let this one test fuck you up? Don't you dare let that bring you down, you idiot." He actually even inspires you.

Before you go for the whole day cause you had to work on your report he would say "Smile for me one last time?"

When he sees you from afar, he would yell out and say "That's my girl! Don't move, I'm coming for you!" And this guy jumps at you with his embraces and sometimes picks you up. "L-Love put me down!!"

He actually loves teasing you like that in public, he wants everyone to know that are are HIS girl and his only.

He messages you during his practices and even would skip practice to see you.

Y/N: Oh you don't have practice today?

Aomine: Nope! And besides, I am the captain so doesn't matter. (He is not the captain- its akashi but lies)

He says that and then goes on how he knows everything about basketball and the team and he keeps doing that till you can compliment him ‘Please Y/N say anything’ he would think and you know that but tease him back not saying anything.

*meanwhile in his basketball groupchat*

Kise: aomine, WHERE THE HECK ARE YOU?!

Akashi: Probably ran off to see his girl.

Atsushi: Whatever, my chance to leave and eat outside.

Kuroko: Can I join you?

Atsushi: No.

You would treat his injuries and he would just sit there, looking at you with a smirk.

Aomine: "Oh yea, here even hurts darling!"

Y/N: "Love....you are lying aren't you?"

Aomine: "What! No!...Maybe?"

You let out a sigh "Ah, you are an idiot...stop hurting yourself all the time." He would suddenly lift your chin up and say "You know...that I love you yea? You also better tell me everything and if you need help, just say it" He can be really soft and sweet sometimes, but he gets all cringy and shy about it and he gets up rubbing the back of his head. "I-I mean that's what a boyfriend does right?! Come on, get up I'm taking you out."

Okay, I hope you enjoy this and anyone who did! Aomine is such a dork but a sweetheart and I can see most of this happening :,)

AAHFH i ljust love it so much. i love how different the demons are, and how each of the upper moons have their own special tricks. i love how each of the hashira / slayers have different weapons or sword types while still following the same general pattern . it blends together soo well w/o ever boring me . the flexibility of mitsuri's sword, himejima's kusarigama, or genya's shotgun .. his demon abilities, inosuke's proprioception, the way sanemi uses his marechi blood to his advantage , etc

or thinking abt like. how daki's caveat was that she and gyuutarou required dual-defeat. or how with hantengu , more decapitations just lead to more personifications of his emotions. or like . douma and akaza being direct opposites of one another in principle.

ik thats just how stories ARE yeah yeah 🙄 but kny is so unique in how much i genuinely love it . i dont find any one aspect of it boring, be it character or ability . its just sm funn yeaaa yea yaa yea<3

#im trying so hard not 2 like. spam each chapter i reread #but imSOFDFSDFHSK i have so much i want to say #mannnn i love it soo much #i just got to the part where hantengu crawls into the room w mui and tanjirou #and UGHHGH I LOVE the 'shock' element gotouge always uses for demon introductions #how w his specifically it became this split second shift from smth normal to smth inhuman . and uncanny (in universe)#bc he had masked soo well right before they visually saw him crawl in #oohhghhh its so coool #ufotable always does a great job of animating the suspense too #like in mugen train w the very first demon . when the light flickers and then suddenly its There . so cool #kny #kny spoilers

um its not a surprise but my 3 fav characters are Genya, Mitsuri and Gyomei, as per demons i would say Douma, Gyokko and Daki (plus Guytaro)

halo, awalnya bingung bangettt mau ngeblog dimana yang bisa dijangkau orang2 karena tumblr di indonesia udah agak mati yea. tapi aku putuskan untuk ngeblog disini. mulai sekarang mau rajin review2 produk hehe.

terinspirasi dari film thailand web series judulnya roon alone 401-410 jadi ingin mencurahkan segala isi otak lewat tumblr. okelah gapenting

langsung aja okehh. jadi kozuii mineral peeling solution ini merupakan peeling buat badan. punya ibu si tapi aku pakai juga. btw dia ini mirip lulur mandi fungsinya semacam exfoliator tapi kalo lulur kan didiemin di kulit nah kalo ini gaperlu lama lama terus teksturnya juga kayak air. ga lengket sama sekali.

mulai dari packaging, ini biasa aja si not so fancy malah kesannya agak tua ya. harusnya dia penutupnya pakai spray aja supaya lebih ena ena hahaha. abis kalo tutupnya diputer *what* ya gt pokonya bikin cepet tumpeh dan ambil produknya jadi terlalu banyak yakan. btw dia made in korea kemasannya 300ml which is seGALON YEY KABAR BAIK UNTUK NAX KOSS

lanjut, kalo buat ke badan bagus mana? sekali lagi ini semacam lulur ya tapi ga seperti lulur sih after use nya. daki daki serta dosa ilang semua udah. pokonya.bagus kok baunya cuma rada kimia gitcuu heu sayang bangett. tapi ga yang nyengat banget si agak ke susu sedikit. ohiyaaa terus dia tuh kekurangannya kalau ga cepat digosok a.k.a kalo didiemin agak lama aja langsung nempel ke bulu bulu halus dan agak menggumpal sedikit gitu jadinya kalo mau dicabut sakittttt oemji. kalau lulur kan bisa didiemin agak lama untuk hasil yang cetar maksimal. (tau kan gimana lulur). its literally up to you kalau kamu sukanya yang cepat simple dan ga buang2 waktu you might wanna try this tapi kalo mau hasil. lebih oke kamu boleh pakai lulur aja yaa

btw dia harganya agak mehong si kalau beli sendiri dengan hasil yang biasa aja menurut aku. 3/5 deh.

cna i just say if theres something i rly lovr abt kny its that grrr bark bark kny made me feel literally so bad for every demon after they died. like i think a lot of stories always try 2 take away a villains humanity so that you dont feel TOO bad or sympathize TOO much with the villain when they die/are defeated...,,,,, but kny said no❤️ and i lvoe that sm. i think it translates to real life very well like. sometimes good people do bad things and that doesnt make them inherently bad ✨🧚‍♀️

YEAH YEA AYEAHY EAH YEAH u explained it perfectly !! i think the story has a rly unique situation with its antagonists nd gotouge is able to . Really take their time to evaluate each unique character and give them their proper closure. they write it wonderfully imo and its something that really sticks w me. because yeah as you mentioned , i feel like a lot of stories struggle in finding that balance but aaaaaaaaaa yeah.. yeah. i love kny for this reason

i love how theres even . division among the antagonists in how that humanity is portrayed. i admire from a general view how all of the demons have this , almost ... duality?? i guess i would say? in their personas? the way they approached the world w their human selves vs the amplification of certain traits via their demon selves (not to talk abt akaza All the time but like. him fighting himself between muzan’s influence and that of koyuki and keizou’s is my absolute favorite).

but w that portrayal of humanity i mentioned, i guess one example i rly like is kaigaku; someone who doesn’t receive narrative sympathy or forgiveness like some of the other demons (say gyuutarou and daki) do. and thats bc gotouge decides intentionally highlight the more negative aspects of humanity that drive / characterize him . i mean , kaigaku’s story exemplified the selfish, arrogant, and generally p awful parts of himself tht he more or less embraced? idk how to frame it but . i like how gotouge provides each of their characters that humanity, but allows each story to explore what that full range of humanity offers. instead of each moon being some tragic pity-villain stereotype , there are some that were genuinely good people with unfortunate circumstance while others (kaigaku) were just awful people who took advantage of those around them & sought demonhood as the opportunity to further their selfish desires.

its cool !!! its so cool !! i love how you can pick any one character and just. dive down the rabbit hole & look at their motivations, goals, themes, etc. i feel like it introduces this sort of lore thats able to build on itself nd AAAA i love it soo much. i can never have enough dshfsdfksd

but back to you were saying , i totally agree. i love the opportunity to get to know these characters more and . actually feel emotion when learning about them. thts something i really enjoy in a story hehe . its great and all when you have a cool cast of protagonists but its so much better when the protags and antags can work w one another in deconstructing the binary of good and evil :3
